please don't catcall crowley while he and aziraphale are having a serious conversation; the angel really enjoys how close their faces get when they have to whisper, and will assume you have fiendish intentions and go on the defensive if you interrupt the moment.
[Image ID: a digital drawing of Aziraphale and Crowley as they appear on the Good Omens TV show. they are depicted from the torso up. aziraphale is in front of crowley, turned away annoyedly towards something to the left with his left hand firmly placed against crowley's chest, where his heart is. crowley is wearing his season 2 turtleneck outfit, and seems confused about whatever has got aziraphale so riled up. aziraphale is wearing his default outfit. / .End ID]

i'm a guy who likes thick lines in my art, i've noticed, so when i accidentally drew an extremely arizacrow pose during gesture practice, i thought it would be a fun opportunity to try something new, mainly thin lineart. however, the call of home sings loud, and i ended up chicken-scratching my way into essentially having thick linework again. 🤷💅😔
also despite being a good omens guy for yonks, this is my first time ever drawing them!!!

i am begging every good omens fan that hasn’t read the book to please pick it up. it is so fucking good.
is it an exact mirror of the show? not exactly. but if you enjoy the show i cannot imagine that you’d dislike the book.
there’s so many little tidbits and scenes that aren’t in the show/are more fleshed out in the book (eg the paintball scene is way longer and way funnier in the book)
and i know some people struggle with books but the full cast audio recording exists! and it’s so good! i promise!

Since SO MUCH of the book is beat-for-beat identical to s1, the stuff they changed really stands out to me. Most of it is just technical stuff but Azi and Crowley have slightly different reactions to things that compell me.
Crowley pushes Aziraphale up against a wall threateningly for calling him "nice" in the show. In the book, he's more worried about someone hearing the angel and snaps at him not to go around telling people.
There's also a bit where they both briefly discuss whether the other side would give them refuge for what they are doing (I don't *think* it's in the show but God knows I'm no expert). Kind of an interesting moment because it's strange to see Aziraphale even consider taking refuge in Hell.

it broke crowley's heart interpreting "nothing lasts forever" as a rejection, as aziraphale diminishing the significance of everything they've been through together but can we talk about the danger and abuse aziraphale is walking into?? the last time he was to go to heaven was for his execution. he thinks taking this position will give him the ability to change things when Gabriel was literally just in that situation and only narrowly avoided having his memories erased for going against the plans for ending the world.
He's going back to the toxic, abusive relationship with heaven that he's been in for most of his existence because he thinks things will be different this time. The other angels in charge want him gone, they're not just going to go along with what he wants. He thinks he can change heaven and be in a better position to protect earth and Crowley but even as supreme archangel he'll just be used and abused by heaven and the angels except this time with no Crowley, no earthly pleasures. and it's going to hurt

I like to imagine that Crowley is responsible for some of the worlds most famous alien sightings
When thoughts of extraterrestrial life began circulating with humans his first thought was 'Well shit, if only. I mean, I helped make THE REST OF THE UNIVERSE you'd think more of it would have been used.'
But then it turned into being so extremely amused by the possible chaos that he began appearing to hapless guys in the plains as a little grey man. He'd project illusions of UFOs into the sky over villages. He'd bury crazy wired shit in tombs or with a snap of a finger modify an already ancient mural to include a suspicious object or alien on it.
Eventually he started getting really into setting up elaborate hoaxes, miracleing government instruments to pick up strange signals and what have you.
He justified it to hell by saying it was a great way to make people question Gods existence and sow doubt- but really he was getting a huge kick out of seeing people FREAK out. It also in an adjacent way made some folks more interested in space in general, which always made him secretly happy.
He's responsible for the Kenneth Arnold UFO sighting, for the Roswell Incident, the Belgian Wave, the Westall Encounter, and a TON of others. In the modern day the fruits of his labor are totally realized and there are endless podcasts, TV shows, online forums and conventions all centered around aliens.
He's not responsible for EVERYTHING but most of the famous and credible ones are products of his effort.
He stays up at night watching videos about aliens, many of the famous 'species' being funky little guys that HE designed. Hes kicking his legs and cackling the whole time, nothing quite amuses him more and in so many ways he's also sort of flattered. He loves it.
Now like most of his big projects he gets duped by his own creation. There are plenty of sightings that have nothing to do with him and some species that he didn't invent. He found himself getting sucked into the podcasts. The interviews with ex-government employees. The crunchy videos of blurry flying triangles and lights.
At one point he starts thinking 'well you know i wasn't in charge of ALL of space... Some other angel could've slipped something in another galaxy.. or even by accident made conditions sustainable for life by just evolution... Politicians are the easiest to corrupt in my experience too so I wouldn't be surprised if theyre hiding something 🤨'
Though Aziraphael doesn't technically like that people are getting tricked or possibly traumatized by the sometimes terrifying illusions, he is always very complimentary of Crowleys creativity and overall supports his 'hobby'.

After reading metas on both sides, not to mention my own reaction to both the fight and those metas, I feel like there’s an entire psychological research paper to be written about whether you’re Team Crowley or Team Aziraphale in that last fight.

i may not know the significance within the text of including the story of job in season 2 but it's important to the viewers in building the foundation of why aziraphale made that decision in episode 6 and why it is actually pretty logical given the turn of events: it's hundreds of years of grappling with the boundaries of good and evil and wrapping his head around the faults in the institution of heaven, and yet too early into his journey that a powerful higher entity being minutely considerate could undo quickly — which doesn't exactly discount the famous miracled-coffee theory (i'd say if it were true it just made him more susceptible to certain suggestions, acting less like the means to an end than an insurance) (OR, really, it's just coffee... maybe it's really just the metatron trying to lure aziraphale with food and drinks but obviously not knowing what exactly he liked and disliked but aziraphale considered it a commendable attempt and was nevertheless thankful) but it definitely does provide more dimension to him. he found enough (relative) proof that the systems in place could be changed for the better, found a kind (relative) higher entity in the metatron, and was offered the position to actually make a difference (regretfully also relative... the metatron is too nefarious and God is too #missing and the aforementioned systems in place are thousands of years old of too-fucked-up for aziraphale to succeed as how i imagine he would intend to, but i can sympathize). in his head, he could help the entirety of existence or make heaven a little more compassionate or even altogether call off apocalypse 2.0.

Unexpected consequence of watching GO2: the moment in smut fics when the Ineffables openly & clearly communicate what they want from each other will now pull me out of the story.
Aziraphale/Crowley: Tell me what you want from me.
Me: They would not fucking say that.

Why am I not seeing significantly more artwork of Aziraphale and Crowley as characters in Jane Austen novels or kissing in the rain? I would have thought those comparisons would be all over the place
Like this but make it them?

HANAHAKI DISEASE
I've been in love with this fictional disease but I'm definitely curious about one thing. Will the Hanahaki disease progress if it is a fact that the other person won't return their feelings to the host OR would the illness depend on the host's perspective that their love can never be reciprocated???

Hey. Hey. Quick question.
How can you be an ofmd AND a Neil Gaiman fan when you’re a TERF? Are you sure you’re consuming the proper media or are you plain stupid?
In any case, too many TERFs on my dash today, so let’s wrap it up for the night because I’m tired.
Block these two users here:
/neiltheyrehomosexuals
/vintage-bentley
A quick scroll and you’ll see: transphobia, biphobia, aro/ace erasure/bias and tons of other stupid bs.
Neil Gaiman and David Jenkins would hate you 👍
