Avengers Annual #7 (Starlin, Nov 1977). Whoa, this snuck up on me. The Avengers assemble in orbit to battle Thanos, who has summoned an army… and gathered the six soul gems! An early draft of Infinity War, then. Starlin’s intricate art and moody narration paint dire stakes. This seems like an end for Adam Warlock, too — who absorbs himself into his vampiric soul gem.

Today in 1981, Rogue first appeared in Avengers Annual #10 by Chris Claremont and Michael Golden! The Southern belle tore through the Avengers as a member of the Brotherhood of Evil Mutants but later repented her evil ways to join the X-Men.

Recommendation Avengers Annual #10 is a good issue. It's largely an apology for the disastrous Avengers #200, but it's the comic Jessica Drew and Carol Danvers become friends. In that there's such a sweet story about finding friendships in survival
Damn, I really enjoy your recommendations, I can't thank you enough. I loved this issue!
I like how Wanda talks about Carol here:
Clint being his funny self:
Wanda's power here is so cool, would love to see her doing something like this in the MCU:
Jess and Carol being friends:
And this up next is damn... the way she explains it is so heartbreaking but I love her words toward the end about heroes and what the Avengers stand for:
I love that despite her pain she is mature enough to understand that.
And finally, Wanda and Vision's chat:
This was a really good read, thank you! 👌😊

"TWICE AS MANY PAGES! TWICE AS MANY THRILLS!" IN THE MIGHTY MARVEL MANNER!
PIC INFO: Spotlight on published and inked cover art to one of John Buscema's true masterworks, cover art to "Avengers" Annual Vol. 1 #2. September, 1968. Marvel Comics.
OVERVIEW: "When you talk about classic Silver Age "Avengers" covers, this one always comes up! John Buscema's pulse-pounding art catapults this masterful cover illustration from off the paper into our collective memories. The original Avengers (c. 1963) face-off against the current Avengers (c. 1968) in this poster like image from a very well remembered period of the Avengers. The Hulk, Captain America, Black Panther, Hawkeye, Giant-Man, Wasp, Thor, Iron Man... they're all here!"
