how i think bsd characters would hug: ada edition

atsushi: his hugs would be relatively standard but they’d be so comforting! he’s a person who would give you one little extra squeeze before letting go ♡ his hugs vary in length but if you wanted it he could cling to you for hours.

dazai: he doesn’t seem like a hugger to me, unless you’re his s/o, so i guess you’re lucky to receive them! dazai’s hugs would be gentle and protective. he would rub your back and talk to you while he hugs you (mostly affirmative and comforting stuff). tucks your head under his chin.

kunikida: i love this man to the moon and back but his hugs would probably be bad at first. i’m sorry but he’d give you like a pat on the back and that would be it T-T as your s/o though he would give really good firm hugs. it’d feel like you’re being shielded with safety and support ♡ in other words, an ideal hug.

jun’ichiro: he would give tight hugs that make you feel wanted and that really emphasise his gratitude for your existence. though if you hugged him for too long you might start turning blue. other than that he’d give you SUPERB shoulder rubs.

naomi (platonic): her hugs are the ones that you never see coming, and probably wouldn’t be too appreciated if you didn’t expect them. they suffocate you. but when you need a good tight hug you’d be hard pressed to find a better candidate than naomi ♡

ranpo: ranpo wraps his arms around your neck/back and just tugs you into him. he buries his face in your neck and crushes you to death like you’re a plushie or a body pillow. he softens when you hug him back, and he taps his fingers on your back while he’s hugging you.

yosano: yosano gives hugs the same way a mother does. like she’ll just let you listen to her heartbeat while she strokes her hands through your hair and pats your back. she also talks to you when hugging you. overall, her hugs make you feel calm and safe. help im simping i want her

kyoka (platonic): her hugs are uncertain at first and are a little loose, but the closer to you she gets the tighter and more desperate her hugs are. kyoka’s hugs SCREAM ‘i’m glad you’re here with me’. hug her back please, she deserves it ♡

kenji (platonic): kenji thinks he’s giving you a regular ol’ hug. in reality he is suffocating you. please tell him he’s suffocating you, he’ll smile and give you a little apology and loosen his grip. once he does it’ll be a nice hug! kenji radiates comfort energy.

haruno (platonic): haruno is probably the perfect hugger. she gives the best hugs! they’re always as chill or as intense as you need them to be, and you can feel her love every time she hugs you. when she’s excited she’d hug similar to naomi.

katai: his hugs are unintentionally a bit too much. like he will wrap his entire wingspan around you like a shield. his intentions are to make you feel loved, and although he’s an awkward hugger the message definitely gets across ♡ if you’re in his futon together he’d squish you like a body pillow.

fukuzawa: he isn’t a firm hugger but he isn’t a loose hugger if that makes sense? he’ll place his hands on your back or on your head and make you feel appreciated. his hugs are an indirect promise to protect you, always. give him a random squeeze and you might just surprise him.

a/n : hi again!! tysm for your request! i decided to just kind of go random with the characters so i hope that’s alright, i hope you like it <3

characters of choice : dazai, atsushi, akutagawa, chuuya

— Dazai would be such a bear hugger, hugging you tightly and almost squeezing you half to death. He’s definitely the most affectionate out of the lot and just loves hugging you everywhere you two go. It’s a nice thing but sometimes its not so nice when you practically FEEL your ribs crushing because of how tight his hugs are but don’t worry!! he lets go the pressure just a lil bit when he realises..

— Atsushi would be the most humble and wholesome when it comes to giving hugs. He would give you a long heart to heart hug with him gently placing his head into the crook of your neck while having the most precious smile on his face. He would also say “thank you” for the hug if it was him to receive it from you. He loves the long passionate hugs where he can just stay in the moment and not focus on anything else other than those particular few minutes with you.

— Akutagawa would be a little awkward when it comes to hugs. He’s just not quite used to giving or even receiving such acts of affection but that doesnt mean he wouldnt hug you at all! He would be gentle with hugging you, wrapping his arms around your waist and pulling you in gently closing his eyes for a few seconds before clearing his throat and pulling away. Over time he would get used to the feeling of someone hugging him and whenever he does get the chance to hug you he feels a little spark in his heart. :)

— Chuuya would be the one to give you a from behind hug. He’s affectionate but not as affectionate as Dazai where he’s actually smothering you. Chūya would approach you quietly and come up from behind slowly snaking his arms around your waist and resting his chin on your shoulder watching you do whatever you’re doing at the time he decides to sneak up on you. He truly enjoys the peace and silence he has with you during that time as he is either busy or stressed out with work. It’s moments like these that get him vulnerable and make him feel his safest.

These are headcanons of what the families of the boxers(plus Carmen's, Little mac's and Doc louis's) are. I will go in depth eventually but here is just the basic structure of their families and some info about them.

request: heyo! i don't know if you're still taking requests here but i'd love to see headcanons for sigma with an s/o whose love languages are gifts (both giving and receiving) and physical touch! no worries if you can't though <3

hiya! if you haven’t started on my request yet, would you possibly mind adding atsushi and oda as well? same traits for the s/o!!

a/n: i was so excited for this request oh my god 😭 i really needed to write something soft today so here it is :)

warnings: none

· Likes to hold your hand when talking to you

· He’ll focus all his attention on you, nod, smile and caress your hand with his thumb

· Would get so flustered when you touch him at first

· Play with his pretty hair and he’ll turn into a stuttering, blushing mess in no time

· He really enjoys it though, play with this boy’s hair!!

· Gives you forehead kisses at the most random times

· You’ll just be chilling, reading a book or whatever and he’ll give you a forehead smooch :)

· Bakes cookies and puts them in a pretty box before giving them to you

· (If you want you can help him bake them next time :) )

· The first time you try to give him a gift he panics and assures you you don’t have to do that for him

· But once you tell him you just wanted to give him something nice, not because you felt forced to do so he’ll admit defeat and accept your gift with a big smile

· He is an amazing hugger. I will die defending this headcanon.

· He just looks soft and warm and his hugs just feel so overwhelmingly loving

· I think he’d be a bit awkward with physical affection at first because well, he’s never really gotten any in his childhood

· Typical ‘touch-starved / awkward with being touched’ guy

· Kind of insecure because he can’t take you to expensive restaurants or spoil you with nice things

· But he tries his best and let’s be real, his best is more than enough

I knew someone was bound to ask me this one and now, y’all get to know how I actually feel about the characters. Exciting~!

1. The first character I first fell in love with I originally watched the show back in...2016 or 2017, so I need to go back to that time and remember what my very first impression was. Some people know, but I watched the first season back then before dropping it. And then I picked it up earlier this year and loved it.

Back in 2016 or 2017, I think the first character that I had positive feelings for may’ve been Akutagawa. Third episode where he’s all badass with his long coat flowing in the wind looked really cool to me. It still does and those little transition scenes are my favorite to this day.

2. The character I never expected to love as much as I do now Akutagawa. Slowly but surely, with each official art and I just see how awkward and relatable he gradually becomes, I resonate with that. I resonate with him using spite to get stronger and better at what he does because I’ve done the same thing before. Looking at Akutagawa is like looking at who I used to be, and I’m accepting and moving on from where I left off.

3. The character everyone else loves that I don’t Atushi Nakajima. I won’t go into the details, but I originally really hated that guy. It wasn’t until I picked up BSD earlier this year, I was able to understand why I hated him so much back in 2016/2017. Now, I’m pretty neutral around Atsushi. He’s a good guy and a fairly good character, but I don’t love him. The more I answer to this question, the more I realize I’m more like Akutagawa than I thought.

4. The character I love that everyone else hates I loved Naomi and Higuchi. Can they be annoying? Yes, yes they can. Do they stand their ground against some of the strongest ability-users in the show and in some of the most dangerous situations that the show had to offer? Yes, yes they did. These two ladies aren’t my favorite characters, but I’m fairly chill with them.

5. The character I used to love but don’t any longer Hasn’t happened yet.

6. The character I would totally smooch Not comfortable with kissing anyone from the cast, but I’ll give Oda and Junichirou a hug. They look like good huggers.

7. The character I’d want to be like I would be Harman Melville. Been through life, settling in for the long-hull, has a little whale friend for company, sits on a bench and looks out into the sunset with tired eyes brimmed with wisdom, and just watching how the young whippersnappers go about in life. A lot of my real life mannerisms are outdated and you commonly see them with the elderly, so I think I would be a great Melville.

8. The character I’d slap I’d slap Fyodor. Will I die? Hell yeah, his ability is going to gut me like a fish.

9. A pairing that I love I have a soft spot for Odazai. I didn’t know how much it really meant to me until i was outlining something for them and I started crying because my heart was hurting so bad, and I didn’t want to hurt them.

10. A pairing that I despise This is where tea is spilled, so I’ll be careful where I leave the stain. I don’t know if there’s a pairing that I hate with all my blood. Are there pairings that I like more than others? Yes. Are there pairings that I don’t like as much as others? Yes. Is there a pairing that I hate? No.

And y’all, I’ve seen all sorts of pairings that fandom has cooked up.
