”Yeah, I’m a Polteageist, through and through!” Mei replies proudly. “To be honest I’m surprised you could tell- most people think I’m at least part Cufant when they see me!” He chuckles.

“Oh sh-shoot!” Mei exclaims in response to Armani’s suggestion, quickly correcting herself, noticing the children around. “That’s ingenious- Why didn’t I think of that?!?”

Suddenly, a ghostly hand shoots out of the Pokémon’s nose and reaches towards the closest game.

The yamask gently shakes her body in a attempt to de-ruffle her feathers from the sight moments before. Cooing gently to her ruin before turning to face the other Yamask beside her. Kairi: I may be different, than the apparition’s you might have met before... Kairi: I do not carry a mask and I am not born with a ruin. I am created, spare energy of a Mass Manifestation deep under the ocean... Like a locker... tucked away in a forgotten school... Kairi: There are hundreds like me down there... Whether we were born from there or lost souls who are so lost they have no meaning anymore.. just shadows... We have no personality and no mind. We merely swirl together in a anxious waiting pool of shadows, desperate for someone to step in... Kairi: We can only be released when a living passes over us or enters our domain deep below. Then we approach them and manifest into their lives.... Whether they like it or not. The yamask puffs out her wings a bit in a sort of prideful manner Kairi: I am the most lucky to have one who did not buy into... superstition... and chose to keep me close.. to her heart. Makes things easier I suppose... Kairi: But as I mentioned before, I was not always like this... I was a mere shadow within the depths of a cave... I used to match everyone... When we find someone to manifest however... we gain a blank ruin..

Kairi: Or well... not a perfect replication of her skull... a more.... metaphor of it... if that is correct wording... Apologies, I do not speak much anymore for no one can hear. Ironically more of a mask now... but I wouldn’t want to wear this if I were you... Kairi: And on the day she is selected to die... I can return home... and place my ruin in its proper place. Sealing her soul into its correct domain. But also remaining forever mine. The yamask fluffs up her feathers in excitement at the thought as she gently brushes some sand off her ruin.

(ask-teamlightbringers) Gabriel @ Nat: So as an esteemed battler I must ask, how do you normally go about training your Pokémon? Are there any particular exercises or routines you prefer to use?

What I mean by that-I watch my team members do their own thing. Some are more naturally inclined to sparring, others enjoy it but take coaxing. I use and do whatever appeals to them most-be it flying for Walter, swim races for Tala and my kingdra-Okeanos-or in Luxu’s case, play-fighting with everyone including myself.

When I’m doing actual serious training-like for matches and such-I go the lengths to record everyone going through their usual sparring and spot out trouble points-like always leading with a certain limb, or making a blindspot, or even not following through on an attack all the way for whatever reason.

Of course, getting up close and personal does create a space for mishaps, eheheheh.

Speaking of training-I’m gonna have to push Luxu’s a day or so back due to this storm, there’s probably going to be a lot of debris to clean up in our general area.

Actually, quite a few Pokémon here have it! When a Pokémon gets on a mission and, say, loses their arm, they can get some sort of replacement! But Myrai remembers first seeing me with these cybernetics long before we thought we would even get close to being an actual rescue team, so… for me… it’s hard to tell…

Teiji: Not really, Shinies are not rare, at least in here the are not. The Yaga region is known for having a lot of shinies and colour variants, I do not know how rare they are outside because I actually do meet a few sometimes.

If you are comparing rarity, I would say defectives are a bit rarer compared to shinies, they are more like colour variants in rarity, gifteds are particularly rare, rarer than defectives.

The only known gifted individual I have met is Toshi. I know you are going to assume this, so I will just say it now, I suspect that her power is more likely gained through training to near death rather than part of her gift.

The Shaymin Endgame

Rosemary stepped through the Ultra Wormhole and onto the battlefield where Nightmare was currently enduring an onslaught of attacks from various other allies of Trav. She glanced over her shoulder, ensuring that the other café staff had followed. Despite having never met Traveller personally, every member of the cast had wanted to come along on this mission to protect one of their most valuable customers. “Y’all ready?” ShayingStar asked, the space Shaymin floating above the others in their Sky Forme. Rosemary looked over at the others, and upon receiving five nods in return, she turned back to ShayingStar. “Yes, we’re ready.” Taking a few more steps forward, Rosemary puffed up as best she could and yelled in her loudest voice, “Delivery from the Shaymin Café! And I hope you don’t mind, but we brought a few guests to help with the takeout.” “Hell yeah!” ShayingStar shouted excitedly. Zooming through the air, the space Shaymin opened another Ultra Wormhole and two Dimensional Holes. Out of the first Dimensional Hole came another Sky Forme Shaymin. Dressed in a formal military uniform with a sword strapped at her hip, he turned to Rosemary and bowed. “Oakley Bellerose, at your service.” Out of the second Dimensional Hole came a pair of Land Shaymin, bright yellow bandannas tied around their necks. The smaller of the two faltered a bit at the sight of Nightmare, shivers running through their body. “That’s what we’re up against? It looks like it could eat us in one gulp!” they said. The larger one laughed and pat his buddy on the back. “I think we’d make a horrible snack, Avin. Now come on, let’s do Sky Peak proud!” he shouted. “R-Right,” Avin responded. Turning to Rosemary, they saluted and said, “Avin and Kaji of Team Sunfluff, responding to your assistance request!” Finally, through the Ultra Wormhole came a small Land Shaymin with a Dragonite’s skull over his face. Upon seeing Nightmare, he chuckled. “Good thing Parnakshi isn’t here to see this. She might’ve fainted at the sight of this creature.” Turning to Rosemary, the Shaymin tipped their skull. “Guildmaster Snapdragon of the Rose Kingdom answering ShayingStar’s call to action.” Rosemary tipped her hat back before surveying the group of ten other Shaymin. “Thank you all for coming. I’m sure ShayingStar briefed you all on the plan, so I won’t waste more of your time. It’s time to show the true power of what the Mythical Pokémon and nature deities known as Shaymin can really do. Suck up as much miasma as you can, then on my mark, we’ll release! Hopefully the attack will not only damage the beast but also help purify the air for those that are struggling to breathe.” Spinning back around her heels, “Ready?” “Ready!” came a chorus of voices. “Then let’s go!” The group of eleven Shaymin began to absorb the thick purple miasma in the air, drawing the substance into their bodies to begin the purification process. Their normally colorful hedges and manes quickly turned purple as the miasma swirled through the air and directly into each of the small hedgehogs. After a few moments, Rosemary opened her eyes and yelled, “NOW! Legendary Technique: Seed Flare!” At the pink Shaymin’s command, eleven small bombs detonated at once as the large amount of purified miasma was launched in the direction of Nightmare. Having given everything they had, the Shaymin all collapsed, hoping that their contribution had been enough to help protect Traveller.
