What did WBN reformat your opinion on Dnd about?

Oh hey! Yeah, uhm so basically i was so blown away that you could tell such an interesting story and make the characters feel so powerful just at lvl.1

Like, to ME, lvls 1-3 have always been breezed through in just a few sessions because everyone wants their cool subclass abilities at lvl.3. but listening to WWWO made me rly realize that the journey really IS more important than the destination in a really meaningful way.

Like the s1 finale was the most heart wrenching piece of storytelling i might've heard Ever and That was going from lvl.1 to 2!

Like you can really make anything meaningful if you go in with that type of mindset and it has been just,, an interesting thought exercise of like,, How can i make this meaningful Now, not in three to ten levels, Now !

it's weird, i keep seeing people who thought callowmoore was never a thing, but i saw them as flirty for ages

like, the kiss on the forehead that was hard to steal back at minimum

See, that's what's so fun is like... so much of the "i saw it coming" feeling comes from having had similar experiences.

I'm a lesbian so i usually catch it when girls have crushes in media (esp the friendly, tease flirting that girls will do sometimes), but boys are harder for me to clock

I Still don't rly See dorym or even widojest, despite knowing that caleb has a crush on jester canonically, and seeing people react to dorym very strongly, i Am genuinely trying to see if i can clock it, and i kinda do, but it's never like "oh i get it" like i am with some other characters. (Also did not see widomauk and still don't if i'm honest). It all just went over my head for years, even tho in hindsight it makes sense.

But i caught Veth's crush on caleb back when she was still Nott, and i caught that Fearne might be a bit bashful around Ash in ways she's not w chetney (plus they litterally kiss so there is That)

Nott was very adamant about the "he's my boy" thing in a way that sounded to me like "jee leave us alone w our bussiness gd" which i Also have experience doing. But people who don't, will just take her word for it and are Horrified when i say i read that statement as her covering, like: "im an adult woman with complicated feelings about the man im sharing a bed with bc he views me as a child bc i am actively lying about my identity and age" ya kno? Things like that are up for interpretation but it makes Sense that i view it that way.

And i've talked to ppl who are nb and into men who Really enjoy orym and ashton together, and like, i don't see it personally, but that makes sense to me when you consider that im nb and Not into men 😆 i'm just projecting what i know, and what i don't know goes over my head Entirely (like most of mr.o'brien's more subtle acting).

Cr at large is also subtle in that it doesn't have Framing the way a book or movie does. The closest we get is matt narrating to close in on a shot or narrative thread, but most of the dynamics all happen at once, so unless you're keyed in, you can easily miss things, or read things that werent intended by the actors, which then begs the question of: is it there at all?

But ye, shipping is Interesting in that way and the way that that emotion interacts w the source matterial is very facinating to me

But yes, i do feel validated that i was correct abt both fearne and ashton even tho it was only a hunch for a long time. For me, i was only convinced after Ashley talked about fearne not being as open as she seems, on 4sd, in regards to romance. Like she's not one to get Attached... Unless.... XD

Could I request Gojo getting huffy and puffy because he's jealous that his s/o's been baking and cooking for the students?

Of course, while everyone gets muffins, Gojo gets a whole cake for himself, so he's all smug.

It took all his training to slip past the threshold of the door undetected.

He usually didn’t need stealth for his mission. Being the strongest, he could just go in, guns blazing, get the job done, and be home by supper time. But this was different. Gojo felt like all his training as a jujutsu sorcerer had led up to this moment.

“HEY!”

Gojo flinched. So close….

“What did I tell you about keeping away from those muffins?!”

“I just want one.” Gojo whined at [Y/N]. His long fingers just inches away from his prize. If he was quick, he could just snatch one and run away. But he would never do that because he was absolutely terrified of what they might do if he actually disobeyed their order to not touch the muffins.

“Those are for the kids tomorrow because they’re going to have a long day. Honestly Satoru, everything isn’t about you.”

Gojo stood to his full height now with a sigh and shoved his hands in his pockets. “I mean….isn’t part of the agreement on being married that I get all your sweet treats? Both baked and well….other things….” He winced at the small smack they landed on his shoulder.

“Don’t be gross. The kids are gonna have enough to deal with with the Kyoto team. Not to mention their friend coming back from the dead.”

“The Kyoto team is a bunch of nobodies.” Gojo scoffed. “And, Nobara-kun and Megumi will be so excited to see Yuji that they won’t need muffins. The sweet feeling of friendship will be all the treat they need.” He winched again when they smacked his hand away from the plate.

“I think they would prefer the muffins.”

They were putting the muffins in a box and closing the lid. Now that they were cooled there was no chance of Gojo getting one. He honestly wouldn’t be surprised if they put a cursed seal on it.

“If you don’t touch the muffins and be a good teacher tomorrow, and don’t fight with another from the Kyoto team, I will make you a cake to celebrate the kids passing the Goodwill event. Deal?”

His eyes began to sparkle in excitement. But then it faded as he thought for a moment on their deal. “I’m going to need some guidelines on what ‘fighting’ means. If Utahime comes after me I have to defend myself, right?”

“If you antagonize Utahime into attacking you then that doesn’t count.”

Another long pause. “I’m going to need some guidelines on what ‘antagonizing’ means before I agree.”

Saw the ask about magical boys and your wish for magical trans kids: may I introduce you to Zoe from Sleepless Domain webcomic? She is one of the main secondary characters and she's super sweet and tries her best! (If you haven't read Sleepless Domain, try it out! It has a ton of fun concepts, pain and suffering, world cold girlfriends soft, parents know what is going on but are powerless to step in and have to let their kids fight, three mysterious gals, wholesome team(s) and survivor's guilt~

I love Sleepless Domain! I've actually backed both of its kickstarters. It's easily one of my favorite post-Madoka magical girl stories out there and I'd also highly recommend it to anyone who's looking for a good story in general.

Also imo CubeWatermelon is REALLY good at compositions. Seriously, if you like comics and can appreciate a good set of panels, check out her work (note that the first two chapters had their art made by a different artist, but Cube has done the art for the rest of the comic). I reread the comic once every few months just to study her pages. Like, take note how often she doesn't chicken out and will just make sure that excellent establishing shots and good backgrounds are included-- you never feel lost reading her work and always know where everyone is. The flow and movement are really good too. Fight scenes can be really hard to portray but you can easily tell what folks are doing.

I know that sounds like the bare minimum but you'd be surprised by how many comics out there really struggle with making sure that the reader, like. actually knows what's going on. Finding an artist that prioritizes clarity is a nice treat. I'm also always impressed at how much character and personality she can pack into a page. Off the top of my head, stuff like Tessa's room being full of her own merchandise:

Anyways yeah, Sleepless Domain is amazing and anyone who likes magical girl stuff should read it.
