a bad feeling || arsenal x teen!reader ||
Tumblr media
your bad feeling before a game ends up turning into your worst nightmare, but your teammates don't let you mope for too long.
"now that is a starter if i've ever seen one," katie said as she put her arm around your shoulders. you had been nervous all morning, nearly throwing up your breakfast before any of you had gotten on the bus. you were playing against manchester united, which meant going against tooney, but more importantly, mary. you had been with arsenal for a little while now, but you hadn't gotten to really play in any of the games against united yet.
"oh yeah, that backline won't know what hit 'em," alessia joined in. she wasn't sure what you needed at the moment, but katie's jokes had been making you smile so far. they wanted you to be relaxed and comfortable. there was a lot riding on this game, but the last thing any of them wanted was to put too much pressure on your shoulders. alessia wouldn't be able to forgive herself if she had done something to cause you to crumble. "you okay?"
"yeah, i'll be fine," you reassured her. a part of you felt like you'd be anything but fine. you weren't sure why, but you felt like something bad was going to happen. there had been something off all day, but you couldn't figure out what it was, so you tried your hardest to ignore it.
on the pitch, things were working fine until they weren't. manchester's girls were being a bit rough with you, which alessia and katie definitely noticed. at the half, katie had absolutely gone off ranting about them, but alessia had distracted you during katie's rant. you were a bit more winded than you normally would have been, but you didn't let the other team's aggression deter you.
"you go out there and score some goals," katie said as she pulled you in for a hug. you nodded against her before she kissed the top of your head and let you go. alessia pulled you into a similar embrace, something that she had noticed leah do during every game that you got to play in. leah's injury was hard on you, but everybody had picked up the slack to make sure that you were taken care of.
you started the second half in good spirits. you managed to get an easy break early on, slipping past their defense with ease. you kept your head forward like you'd always been taught to. the defense wasn't nearly as far behind as you had expected, and when you went to take your shot, one of them came in for a tackle. it wasn't clean, but she hadn't expected to connect as well as she had. your movement mixed with hers had you crumpling to the ground clutching your knee.
"(y/n)?" mary was the first person at your side. she pulled your head into her lap as she rubbed your back. ella was quick to join alessia and katie, as well as a few of your other arsenal teammates.
"i want leah," you whimpered. alessia frowned as she held onto your hand. they all crowded around you until the medics came with a stretcher to take you away. a few quick scans had confirmed your worst nightmare, an acl tear. it was worse than that, but all you had heard was that part. everything else out of the trainer's mouth had been garbled like your head was stuck in a fish bowl.
the rest of the day felt like a blur. you were whisked away to a hospital, several people from both teams and your national team came to visit you. it wasn't until you were back in london at your parents' place that you finally saw the one person you had been begging and pleading for all weekend, leah. she hadn't come alone, having heard how you had been moping since you left the trainer's room in manchester.
"hey," leah greeted you. she was speaking softly, just like everybody had since you got hurt. you were laying up in your bed, confined to your room to rest for a few days. technically, you could move around your house, but you didn't see the point in getting out of bed until you could play again.
"is it okay if i come in?" viv asked from your doorway. you perked up a little, not having seen her for what felt like forever. beth was with her, the two of them rarely separated off of the field. you nodded and scooted over so that there was more room for all of your teammates to come in.
"what are you guys doing here?" you asked. leah took the spot right next to you, the two of you having developed a special bond from the start. you had flocked to leah immediately, but back then, you had just been in pure awe of her. now, she was like your absolute best friend on the team and had stopped treating you like a baby all the time. that wasn't to say she wasn't fiercely overprotective of you like you were her sister.
"we wanted to check on you. i heard you've been having a hard time since the game," beth answered. you shrugged it off, despite knowing that she was telling the truth. you had been having an incredibly hard time dealing with your injury and the reality of what it meant. you were so young, and this was the kind of thing that ruined careers.
"more importantly, we wanted to remind you that this setback is temporary. you'll rest and rehab it, and take care of yourself so that it doesn't happen again, not for a long time at least. you'll bounce back from this because you're young and smart enough to take good care of yourself. i believe in you, we all do," leah said. "isn't that right?"
"yeah, i'll get better," you mumbled. leah nudged you, trying to get you to say it again louder. "i'll get better, and i'll stay better."
"that's right," leah said triumphantly.
"how long are you guys staying?" you asked. you were a bit distracted from your injury, and hopeful that your friends would stay for a bit. since joining arsenal, you hadn't really had much time for friends your own age. they didn't understand the strictness of your schedule and training regiment. it was just easier to hang out with your teammates, even if the age gap meant that you had a lot of differences in interests.
"well, i happen to have a clear night. in fact, i believe that mary and tooney are coming down for a little get-together. if you've got all your school work done, i am sure that your mum wouldn't mind if you stayed over," leah suggested.
"viv and i might even stop by for a bit before her bedtime," beth said. you had finished nearly your entire week's worth of work with an open schedule, which meant you were free to go to leah's for the night. that was something that your mother definitely knew, and had most likely even arranged to get you to come out of your room.
"do you mean it?" you asked leah. she nodded and helped you pack a bag to spend the night. it had been a long time since you'd gotten to attend a team sleepover, and even though you couldn't play and train with everybody else, you were glad that they still thought to include you. you hadn't admitted it to anybody else, but your big fear was that the team would shut you out because you were injured.

Alone - Arsenal W.F.C./Reader
prompt: R, one of the newest signings, is going to be alone for the holidays.
warnings: none
words: 2313
Tumblr media
(Y/N) POV
I tried not to pay attention as the rest of the team discussed their own holiday plans. I really did try to make sure that it didn’t get to me. I hadn’t celebrated any holidays in such a long time that it normally didn’t faze me.
Maybe it was because I was already starting to see the rest of the team as my own family. Or because I had grown so used to seeing some of my teammates every day and I knew that I wouldn’t get to see any of them during the holidays like I currently was able to.
“What about you, Yankee?”
I scowled at the nickname as I sent Katie a glare. It didn’t even make sense considering I wasn’t a Yankee fan or from the North.
“Thought I told you not to call me that.”
“Oh, come on, Yankee Doodle!”
Before I could say anything else, I felt someone nudge my shoulder.
“What are you doing for next week?” Lotte asked. I furrowed my brow because I wasn't entirely sure what she meant. “Don’t we have a game on Thanksgiving? I’m sure the team’s granted you a leave to go spend it with your family.”
“Why would they do that?” I asked.
It wouldn’t have made sense for the team to give me leave, especially when I didn’t ask for one.
“Next week would be when fall break is,” Alessia pointed out causing me to turn my head to where the blonde striker was sitting. I had honestly forgotten that Alessia and Lotte would both know when Thanksgiving was due to their time in America. “Don’t you want to go home and spend Thanksgiving with your parents?”
I only gave a small shrug. I’d much rather play on Thanksgiving Day than spend it with my family. I especially didn’t want to be ignored on a day that was supposed be enjoyed with your family.
“You don’t want to see your family?” Kyra asked as she tilted her head to the side. “I thought that was like the whole point of Thanksgiving?”
“Yeah, well, it’s not that fun when you’re the one who has to cook everything and then everyone wants to complain about it all being made wrong,” I said as I turned away from the team so that I could put my shoes up. “Even better is when everyone ignores you if they’re not complaining about your cooking.”
“(Y/N)…”
“Real great considering that last year I tried to tell everyone that I was gonna accept a scholarship to play with UNC only for everyone to ignore me and tell me to shut up,” I continued as if I hadn’t heard Beth. “Then turn around after everyone leaves and your parents explode on you telling you there’s no way you can go to college because you’re supposed to turn pro so that you can pay them back for everything they did to make sure you succeeded as if I didn’t have to fight them tooth and nail to get them to support me.”
“You were going to be a Tar Heel?”
My eyes met Alessia’s before I nodded.
Where I was looking at going to college had been heavily debated with my own national team. Everyone had their own opinions of where I should go except for Lindsey and Mal since they both had skipped college to turn pro immediately out of high school. But that wasn’t what I had wanted. I wanted to go to college so that I could get my degree because I knew that I wouldn’t be playing forever.
Thankfully, Arsenal had offered to support me through my studies. It wasn’t exactly what I had wanted, but it did give me the ability to get away from my family.
Still, I was upset that I hadn’t been able to go to the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill like I had dreamed of. UNC had been my favorite college ever since I had discovered who Tobin Heath was and I had wanted to follow in her footsteps as well. So much so that I had even reached out to her when I joined the national team to make sure that she was okay with me wearing the number seventeen like she did.
“Hey, (Y/N), you know you can talk to us about anything that’s going on, right?” Viv started to say as she moved closer to me. “You don’t have to shut –“
“What I would like is for you all to drop it. I’m a big girl. I don’t need any of you to coddle me like I’m some child.”
I pushed past Viv as I headed out of the locker room. I knew it was harsh and that I’d have to apologize later, but I just didn’t want to deal with it right now.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
“I’m sorry.”
Viv looked over her shoulder at me. I had been avoiding her since we got into it late last week. It hadn’t been too hard to avoid the Dutch striker since she gave me my space.
“You were just trying to help me, and I was a bitch.”
“We shouldn’t have tried pushing you so hard.” Viv shrugged before turning around to actually face me rather than just look over her shoulder at me. “We aren’t trying to coddle you. But it’s hard being your age and being away from the only support system you’ve ever known. We just want to make sure that you know we’re all here for you.”
“I really do appreciate it,” I admitted. Viv sent me a soft smile. “I guess it’s just weird since I’ve never had a support system. My parents got me into soccer to keep me busy after school ended so that they didn’t have to pick me up as early in the afternoon. And it wasn’t like either of them were actually happy to make sure that I did as good as I could with soccer until I got called up to the national team.”
“First off, it’s football. That’s the first thing we’re going to have to fix,” Viv corrected causing me to let out a laugh. It had been an argument we often had during training as I had yet to start calling it anything other than soccer. “Second off, I’m always going to be here for you. It won’t ever matter if you leave Arsenal or if I do. I’ll always have your back. Got it?”
“Got it,” I saluted Viv, “Dad.”
Viv rolled her eyes at that. I had been hanging around Laura lately.
“And third off, you stop hanging around Laura so much.”
“Oh, come on,” I said as I followed behind Viv as we both moved to get back into the line that was warming up. “You and Beth are totally parents to Laura now. And you’re definitely the dad.”
“How do you figure that?”
“You just have Dad Vibes.”
I wasn’t sure how to explain it, but Viv really did have all the Dad Vibes. It just made sense once you hung around Beth and Viv long enough.
“So, are you coming tomorrow?”
I furrowed my brow as Beth joined the two of us. I wasn’t sure what she was talking about.
“I hadn’t asked yet.”
My eyes darted between Viv and Beth. I wasn’t sure what either of them were talking about.
“If you really want to make it up to me,” Viv started as Beth grinned at me, “you’ll come over tomorrow for lunch.”
“For lunch?”
“Yeah, for lunch.”
I shrugged at that. I didn’t really have any plans for tomorrow, but I wasn’t sure that I would actually want to do something. Especially with it being so close to Thanksgiving.
“I don’t know.”
“None of that,” Viv said as she shook her head. I sighed as my shoulders slumped forward. There was no way that I was going to get out of this. “Lunch tomorrow at mine and Beth’s.”
“Fine. Lunch at your place tomorrow.”
Beth grinned before she ruffled my hair and took off to join some of the others. Viv only smiled as she threw an arm around my shoulder and pulled me along the line we were in.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
“Has Viv started to Dad you yet?” Laura asked as she took a seat next to me on the couch. Both of us looked over to where Viv was cooking in the kitchen with Beth watching. “Or has Beth been able to Mom you yet?”
“They keep trying,” I admitted. Neither Viv or Beth would let me help them cook. Viv wasn’t even letting Beth help. “Beth asked me today if I was eating enough.”
“Yeah, they’ll grow on you.”
The two of us fell into silence as we turned our attention back to the game that was playing on the tv.
“What are they even cooking?” I asked causing Laura to look at me. “They wouldn’t tell me, and Viv has forbidden me from going into the kitchen.”
“I’ve been sworn to secrecy,” Laura said before she pretended to zip her mouth shut. I frowned as I gave her a shove. “Mom! (Y/N)’s being mean to me.”
“Am not!”
“Are too!”
“Can we put them up for adoption?”
Both Laura and I whipped our heads around to look at Beth as we cried out in complaint. Beth only stuck her tongue out at us as we both grumbled. Neither of us had any real time to respond though as there was a knock at the door.
I furrowed my brow at that. Laura being here wasn’t too surprising considering that Viv and Beth had taken young defender in when she tore her ACL. But no one had told me that others would be coming over.
“Get the door?”
“Why me? You’re their kid.”
“You are too! And you’re not injured.”
I rolled my eyes at that. I was hardly Viv and Beth’s kid. I couldn’t wait for Laura to get back to training with the rest of this so that she wouldn’t be able to use her injury as an excuse. I got up though and got the door.
“Happy Thanksgiving,” Alessia said as soon as I opened the door. I tilted my head in confusion at that. Thanksgiving had definitely been yesterday, but I also had no idea why she was here. “The others aren’t that far behind me.”
I hadn’t even realized that it seemed like the rest of the team was either behind Alessia or getting out of their own cars or pulling down the road. Alessia pushed past me as she ruffled my hair. It wasn’t until a few more of our teammates made their way inside that I finally left where I was standing at the door to move further inside.
“What’s going on?”
Viv and Beth grinned at me before Viv bent down to pull something out of the oven.
“Thanksgiving lunch,” Beth announced once I could see the turkey that Viv had pulled from the oven.
I shook my head with a small chuckle, but I moved to help Viv get everything plated up and presented as she pulled a ham out of the oven as well.
“What all did you make?” Katie asked as she was the last one who came inside.
“All of the traditional foods for Thanksgiving,” Viv said as she motioned to everything. “At least according to Google.”
“You did a pretty good job,” I told her as I looked at everything we had out. “Oh! I call dibs on the wishbone!”
“The what?”
“You don’t know what a wishbone is?” I asked as I turned to look at Kyra. She shook her head and I huffed. “Every turkey has a wishbone. We’ll find it when we carve the turkey. Once the meal is done, two of us will make a wish and we’ll break the wishbone. Whoever has the bigger piece will have their wish come true and good luck for the next year.”
“And how many of your wishes have ever come true?” Kyra asked as she nudged my shoulder before she reached and tried to steal some of the stuffing only for Viv to slap her hand away.
“I’ve never gotten to break the wishbone before,” I admitted. It was usually my cousins who got to break the wishbone.
“Can I break it with (Y/N) since Dad cooked?” Laura asked.
“Stop calling me that.”
“Yeah, whatever, Dad.”
I snorted at Viv’s scowl. My attention was drawn away as I was quick to catch the football that had been tossed my way.
“Hey! Not near the food!”
Viv’s scowl had turned from Laura to Lotte who was guilty of tossing the football.
“You brought a football?” I asked her.
Lotte shrugged as she threw an arm around Alessia’s shoulders. I knew that they were both probably the most familiar with Thanksgiving and the traditions we had with the holiday since they were the two who had actually gone to college in the States.
“Figured you could show us how to throw it since the big football game was on yesterday,” Lotte explained.
“And then we can make plans for Christmas,” Alessia added. I furrowed my brow at that. I knew that we would be having some kind of party for the team, but we still had time to plan it. “Cause Mum already told me that I have to bring you with me.”
“Wait, what?”
“Well, I was telling Mum how you weren’t going to spend the holidays with your family cause they were assholes and she told me that I have to bring you,” Alessia explained. Alessia’s mom wanted me to join them for Christmas. “And before you try to say no, Mum has already told me that you are not weaseling your way out of it. So, you will be coming to the Russo Family Christmas.”

Is that a kid? -Arsenal x reader
Leah and Katie were leaving the looker room when a sight caught there eyes and stopped them in there trackers. A little girl was crying and screaming in a security guards arms, desperately fighting to get down.
"Hey, what's going on here?" Katie demanded as she ran over with Leah right beside her
"She's a lost kid, we are trying to get her to the police station" the taller security guard said
"She looks terrified" Leah stated
"Put her down now" Katie demanded as they looked hesitant
"She's going to run off again. We are just trying to get this over with fast" the shorter one said still holding on to you as you continued to fight in his arms. Both women continued to stare him down
"Okay" he said gently placing you on the ground and just like he said, you took off as fast as your little legs could carry you. Leah and Katie followed you at a slightly distance in hopes of not freighting you more. They ended up following you into the media room where you ran under a table
"Hey sweetheart, what's your name?" Katie asked kneeling down next to the table as you just looked at her with tearful eyes
"I'm Katie and this is Leah" Katie said pointing at Leah who waved. Both sharing a look when you didn't come out
"Do you know where your mommy and daddy are?" Leah asked hopeful but you just continue to look between them
"We may be here a hot minute" Leah said taking a seat on the floor and Katie following suit
"What are you guys doing in here?" Caitlin asked as she and Kyra entered into the room
"Is that a kid?" Kyra asked loudly walking up with Caitlin who looked confused, you whimpering and sliding further back under the table. Caitlin gently grabbing Kyra to stop her. "Why don't you go find some juice and snack for her?" Kyra nodded before heading off
"Who's the kid?" Caitlin asked taking a seat on the floor next to Leah and Katie
"Don't know, security found her" Leah said, both women watching as Katie continued to try and coax you out from under the table
"Kyra sent us with a juice box and crackers " Beth said as she and Viv showed up, "steph is taking Kyra home" Viv said causing Caitlin to nod at the info
"There really is a little girl here" Viv said shocked as Beth handed the food to Katie
"Want some?" Katie asked holding the juice box and cracker out to you. The girls smiling softly when they watched you wipe your tears before nodding and coming out from under the table but still keeping a distance
Katie opened the crackers and held them out to you, which you took happily
"These are my favorite, you know" Katie said and smiled fondly as she watched you hold out a cracker to her "thank you darling" taking it and watching as you continued to happily munch on the rest of the crackers
"Here" Katie said slowly moving over next to you to hand you the juice box, which you took as you looked at the other people in the room with curiosity
"That's Caitlin" Katie said causing Caitlin to give a small wave which you shyly returned "and Viv and Beth" Katie said pointing to the other two women who both said hi
"They are my friends" Katie said causing you to nod as you let out a yawn and rubbed your eyes
"Tired?" Katie asked and getting a nod in reply
"Here" Caitlin said hanging her sweatshirt over to Katie to put on you, seeing as you were only in a short sleeve and jeans in winter
"All warm and cozy now?" Katie once she got the jack on you, you only nodding before holding your hands up to her
"You want me to pick you up?" Katie asked making sure she understood what you wanted. Once you nodded, Katie quickly picked you and gently placing you on her hip. All the girls smiling softly as you wrapped your arms around her neck and rested you head on her shoulder
"She asleep?" Katie whispered and Caitlin nodded
"Poor thing must be exhausted" Beth said
"She can't be more then 3" Viv said taking a closer look at you
"Let's get her to the police station to figure who she is" Leah said "I'll drive. I'll go get my car and pull it around front"
"Keep us updated on the cutie" Beth said as her Viv left
Caitlin watched with a fond smile as Katie gently rubbed you back to keep you a sleep
"If she is an orphan, we are taking her home aren't we?" Caitlin asked with a smile as Katie nodded before placing a chaste kiss to her lip

narcotics | arsenal x reader
summary: reader has a drug problem.. her arsenal teammates help her to realise and overcome it
warnings: mentions of drugs use and abuse
this was so tough to write for me and hit home sooo fucking hard buttt also very fulfilling so i hope you enjoy
Tumblr media Tumblr media
You’d never intended for it to get this bad.
Injury, surgery, recovery, drugs.
So many drugs.
That was what happened when you had major surgery, when you were an athlete, they showered you with every single kind of drug that they could, to distract from the pain and to try and start the recovery process as soon as possible. It was good, especially post surgery when you felt absolutely no pain, it was great, and it allowed you to be a lot more mobile after the operation than you would have been if you hadn't been medicated.
It was good, being pain free was so incredibly good.
That was all you could focus on, your whole recovery revolved around being pain free, tearing your tricep was a pain in the ass, but as far as football was regarded, you were hopeful to return to the pitch as soon as possible.
You didn’t need your arm to kick a football or play on the pitch, so the whole entire focus of your recovery was to make the pain bearable so you could return to the field as soon as possible.
For this reason, the doctors just kept refilling your scripts, handing you bottles and bottles upon pills, it was their job to get you back on the field to help Arsenal redeem themselves from the fall from the champions league.
You were back on the pitch in three weeks, which was almost psychotic considering that your tricep scars were still bandaged and covered in gauze.
It was procedural for you, you fell into a routine of relying on the drugs to get you through a game, to take off the edge of the pain that originated in your arm.
It was fine, it was good.
For months, the doctors filled the bottles for you, they kept filling them, past the point of where you medically needed them anymore, it was just routine for you, just a part of your day.
You woke up, and you took pills with your morning protein shake and breakfast, then you car pooled to London Colney with Beth and Viv. Once you arrived at training you ate a protein bar, which you consumed another set of pills with. Then typically as a team there would be a morning gym session, after gym there was lunch, where you would consume another set of pills. Then there was training, afterwards before recovery you inhaled another set of pills.
It didn’t really worry you, you needed the pills, they were the reason you were able to play, they were the only thing that was keeping you on the pitch.
It felt that way to you at least, even if you were months past the injury, it just felt like you needed them, that without them you would be hopeless.
So, even as the weeks passed by you continued your routine, but as every day passed by it was clear that your teammates were becoming more aware of your reliance, the concern and questions becoming far more frequent.
You insisted that you were fine, that it was the doctor's orders, even if the doctor had told you months ago that you needed to eventually wean yourself off the pills.
He was the same doctor though who continued to fill your scripts and hand you pills like they were candies.
Eventually you would stop, you would, some time, it was just something to get you through the day, something to make it easier for you to deal with everything that was happening in your life.
The first time the word addiction was thrown at you was in the most abnormal situation.
You were sitting in the locker rooms, early on a wednesday morning the likes of Katie, Jen, Beth and Alessia surrounding you as you all casually joked around.
It was all common conversation, trivial basic stuff, until Katie pivoted towards you, her whole body turning in your direction as she sent a question your way.
“Y/n, is there any history of addiction in your family?”
It’s spoken so casually, and for whatever reason you’re the only person in the group taking a double take over what she’d just asked you.
Everybody else was just kind of waiting for your answer, all eyes on you as they watched on carefully.
“No, why?”
Katie just nods her head, her eyes not leaving you and the curiosity in them.
“Just curious, Less and I were talking earlier about it, one of her cousins struggled with it majorly after having surgery, just interesting to think about, it’s just a really tough topic.”
It was blatantly obvious that there was an underlying message underneath her words, at the time though you had been completely oblivious to it.
“Yeah, well I couldn’t give any info on that, both of my parents were in the army and were as clean as whistles, my two brothers were the same, and as far as my aunts and uncles go I’m fairly certain they’ve never touched any drugs beyond paracetamol and tylenol.”
Your words are measured, calculated, trying to decrypt the overarching question lying beneath the surface of Katie’s random spiel.
“It’s definitely interesting to think about, considering how many surgeries our team has encountered in the last little while.”
Katie is digging around, for something, but you aren’t quite sure what.
“I’m not the one to ask about it, Viv and Beth are the ones who have been doing all the research.”
Katie seems to get the message that you don’t want to talk, but you can’t ignore the way she continues to look at you with a mixture of concern and annoyance whilst you tugged on your uniform and trainers.
When you thought her eyes had slipped from you, you turned into your locker, taking a sip of water before pulling two pills from your bag and slipping them past your lips as discreetly as you could.
You thought you were discreet, but when you turned back around to head out of the rooms and into the gym, and realised that all of your teammates' eyes were on you, you realised that this whole ordeal had become quite the spectacle.
You ignored the on looking eyes, especially those of Katie and Beth’s, which were practically burning holes through your body.
You avoided their eye contact, knowing that if you met their eyes it would give them a space to confront you, something which you were looking to avoid for as long as possible.
You somehow managed to make it into the gym without any further troubles, but when you did make it inside the gym you were met with some similar looks from your teammates and captains who were already occupying the space.
You got straight into your program, your mind reeling about how exactly your teammates had come to the point of pretty much accusing you of addiction.
You weren’t addicted.
You just needed the pills to take the edge off, there was nothing wrong with knowing your body's limit. Sure, you’d been told it was safest to start weaning off them after about a month on them, but you needed them, you needed them to be the same you, the old you, the pre-injury you.
You weren’t an addict, addicts were frantic and uncontrolled and definitely couldn’t play football.
The gym plan for you was fairly simple, a lot of tricep exercises and some upper body work that you finished off fairly quickly, within the hour you were heading back to the locker rooms, to grab your jumper and some pills before heading off to the lunch room to see what the chefs had cooked up today.
Kim, Leah, Katie, Viv, Beth and Jen were all sitting inside the rooms, the six of them hushedly talking between themselves. You did your best to ignore them, beelining straight towards your locker, throwing on your hoodie first before reaching into the pocket in your bag where you’d left the container early.
You felt around, confused for a few seconds when you didn’t immediately feel it.
You shoved your hand deep into the pocket, again your fingers touched nothing but the mesh of the inside pocket in your bag. At this stage, your hands begin to shake, you pull your hand out of the empty pocket, maybe you put them somewhere else.
You begin to rifle through your bag, searching incessantly for the one pill bottle that you need so desperately.
It’s not in your bag, three searches confirm that.
Maybe it’s fallen into your locker somewhere?
You pull out your things from the cube, searching desperately for your sweet relief.
This can’t seriously be happening, how the fuck could you have possibly lost them?
“Kid, what are you looking for?”
You ignore Beth’s question, continuing to toss your locker, even though it’s blatantly obvious that they aren’t hiding anywhere, they’re gone.
“Kid, what’s wrong?”
You pivot on your heel to address Beth, but your eyes are glued to Leah’s hands, or more so what Leah has resting in her hands.
The little orange bottle, the sacred fucking bottle.
“This whatcha looking for?”
You try your very hardest not to slip up, not to give it away too much, not when it’s very likely that whatever this is, it’s a test.
“Why have you got my pills?”
You decide to pivot with a question, it seems like the best decision.
“Why are you still on pills?”
Leah’s words are cut throat, they hit you hard.
“Because of my surgery.”
It’s an ominous answer, maybe it’ll save you from the vice captain's anger, maybe it won’t.
“You had surgery four months ago.”
Leah’s words, whilst they are a statement, hold questioning behind them.
“I don’t see how anything between my doctor and myself matters to you, he’s given me a script for medication, one that I use.”
It’s definitely the wrong thing to say, Leah looks offended, Kim looks like she’s about to kill you, Beth and Viv just look sad, Katie and Jen look like they don’t really know what to say.
“It’s not our fucking business? You should have been off pills three months ago, it’s my blood business to know when my teammates are continuing to take drugs way past the point of it being logical.”
Kim’s voice is angry, but not the kind of anger where it’s directed at you, it’s more the kind of angry where she clearly wants answers that you aren’t giving her.
“I don’t know what you want me to tell you, my doctors fill my scripts, beyond that it’s none of your business what I take and don’t take to get through sessions.”
Kim’s face scrunches up, Leah’s looks similar, it’s funny to you sometimes how similarly they captain.
“You haven’t had any complications, you should have been completely pain free months ago, why do you still need pills? Why do you need them so frequently? Don’t think that we all haven’t realised how often you are taking them, you’re going through them like a bag of candies, it’s not healthy.”
Kim’s right, it leaves you a little bit gobsmacked and takes you a little bit to recover from what she’s saying to you.
“I’m playing well, am I not? Beyond how I am playing on the pitch it’s none of your fucking business.”
When you think about it, swearing at Kim was possibly the stupidest thing you could have done, but you suppose there isn’t any coming back from it now.
“It’s not my fucking business? Beyond being your captain I give a shit about your health and mental wellbeing, so when I see one of my best mates and teammates looking like they are fucking addicted then I am allowed to ask questions, questions that you are going to answer or else we will be having a very different conversation, one that includes Jonas and the medical staff and I promise you that it will end with a very different result.”
Kim’s words hit you right in the chest, you force yourself to take a seat, looking at the six women and taking in the guilty look across both Viv, Katie, Beth and Jen’s faces.
“You guys fucking ratted on me, for nothing? I’m not fucking addicted, people who are addicted are frantic and stupid and fucking unhinged. Do you think if I had a pill addiction that I’d be able to play, do you think I’d be able to do half the things we do if I had an addiction, I just need them to get me through the day, to get me through the work outs.”
Your justification is weak, you know that, but you still believe in what you are saying, you don’t have a problem.
Kim’s face deflates, it looks like whatever she is about to say is going to be a lot more emotional and heavy then you are prepared for.
“Kid, you have a problem. How you manage to do it all baffles me, truly, you should not need pills to be getting you through the day, not when you are in recovery, not when your tricep is almost fully healed, Beth and Katie told me about it because they are genuinely worried, I am too. We’re all here for you, whatever you need.”
You shake your head, you don’t need help, you don’t need support, what you need is your fucking pills back.
“Can I have my fucking pills back?”
Leah shoves the bottle into her pocket, you know that you aren’t getting them back but it was worth a try.
“Are you fucking serious?”
It’s apparently Katie’s turn to be the bad cop.
“They fucking belong to me.”
Katie looks absolutely fuming, if it wasn’t for the whole situation you were in you would probably laugh about it.
“Not anymore they don’t, you’ve lost that fucking priviledge. This is how it’s going to go from now on. You’re going to move in with Beth and Viv for now, Lia’s searching your apartment as we speak, you’re done with pills, no more, you’re cut off. You’re going to get a fucking handle on your life and all of this shit or else you’ll be benched and sent to rehab or wherever Jonas thinks is the best place for you to sort out your fucking addiction, because that’s what this is. You can’t survive four hours without slipping some pills, that is seriously fucking concerning and all of us are so fucking worried about you. If you want to continue playing then there are going to be a whole set of rules and conditions because this can’t keep going, it’s unsafe.”
All the other women nod along with Katie’s words, you realised that you are definitely fucked.
“I’m a fucking adult, you guys have no right to be doing this to me, I don’t have a fucking problem.”
Katie rolls her eyes, standing up from her seat to walk over to you.
“Kid I am so sorry none of us realised earlier, maybe if we had it wouldn’t have been so bad, but you have to understand how bad it is, you should not be reliant on drugs that are prescribed to a person after a serious surgery, your attached. Not all addicts are frantic, you definitely aren’t, but that doesn’t change the fact that you have a problem and if you don’t stop it now, you never will. We all want to help you, however you need.”
You don’t really know what to do, everything Katie is saying hits you so hard, you can’t help but let tears fall, they’re wrong, you don’t have a problem, you need the pills, how are you supposed to be okay without them?
“Please, just give me the pills, I’ll do whatever you want, please, I need them, I’ll do anything please just give them back.”
Katie wraps you up in her arms, so tight that you worry about your ability to breathe, it makes everything stop for a few seconds, you forget about the pills, forget about how much internal pain you are struggling with.
“You know I can’t do that kid. How about we get you home? I don’t think you're in the mindset to train, Viv and Beth will leave with you, they’ll take you back to theirs whilst we finish up here for the day and then we’ll all have a chat about it later, okay?”
You pull yourself out of Katie’s arms, your face in a deep frown.
“You don’t understand, I fucking need them, I can’t live without them, what am I supposed to do without them? This is fucking crazy how am I supposed to play when you’re all forcing me to go cold turkey on the one thing that I rely on most.”
Katie’s hands move to your shoulders, planting themselves down firmly on you.
“No you don’t. It’s going to be a hard adjustment but it’s for the best. If we’re right and you are addicted, you’ll go through withdrawals, it’ll suck, but we’ll be here for you through it, we’re here to kick you in the ass but pick you up when you are hurting, we’re here for whatever you need.”
In a split second decision you lunge forward and directly at Leah, the blonde doesn’t expect it, and definitely doesn’t expect you to reach right for the pocket that you’d previously seen Leah push the pills in.
You don’t really know what your plans where for once you’d managed to obtain the bottle, but you knew one thing, you needed those pills and Leah was standing in the way of that.
Within seconds Jen and Kim’s arms were linked around yours, pulling your desperate form off of Leah.
“Please-Fuck please just give them to me, I’ll do whatever you need, please, I need them. I don’t need you guys, you guys don’t give a shit about me, I’m fine, I don’t want our help, just give me the drugs and leave me be, I’ll be fine, I’m always fine, I don’t need you guys. J-Just give me the pills and I’ll leave, I’ll never bother you guys again. ”
Kim managed to tug you completely away from Leah, whilst the older woman is significantly smaller than you, she was far stronger and you stood absolutely no chance against her.
You ragdolled in an attempt to make it harder for Kim, she replied to that by dragging your limp body up onto a seat, resting both of her hands on your soldiers just like Katie had, except for the fact that instead of Kim’s face being one of care and genuity, hers was stern and concerned.
“You don’t get to do this. You do not get to push us away because you want a fucking dose of drugs. We are family, family means so much more than some stupid object and the kid who worked her way here through the academy would have told me the exact same eight months ago. I know you have been through a lot, I know this injury has sucked, I know that you are going through a lot but you can’t push family away. We’re going to be here for you when you are at your biggest high and your lowest low, we are here through thick and thin. I can stand for you breaking down at ever minute of everyday if it means that we can help you, you can hurt us all as much as you want and we will continue to come back because whilst you might think that you are breaking us, you aren’t.”
Kim’s words just send tears running down your face and sobs coming out of your mouth.
Everything from the last hour is barreling directly at you, the realisation that maybe you aren’t as fine as you’ve been telling yourself, even if it feels wrong, you know what they are telling you makes sense, it hurts way more admitting that to yourself though.
Kim removes her arms from your shoulders, reaching for your torso and bringing you into another big hug, it’s suffocatingly painful and you swear that your skin prickles with the contact.
“I’m sorry, fuck, I’m sorry.”
You don’t know what you are sorry for, which probably makes the apology pointless, but it feels like it needs to be said, like you need to make some kind of attempt to recognise your wrongdoing.
“It’s okay kid, we’ve got you, it’s going to be okay, we’re all here for you, let’s get you back to Beth’s, hmm? I think you could do with a good nap and a proper feed. You’ve been working yourself to the bone, it’s time to let yourself rest. Take it from me, this whole routine you have for yourself, the over working, the pills, it’s only so long before you completely burn yourself out and trust a woman who’s been there, that is the last possible thing you could want, especially considering you are so young.”
Kim’s opinion and words are gospel to you, being another midfielder ever since you’d become a part of the arsenal senior team you hung onto every single word that she spoke, so having the Kim Little calling you family, it was something else completely.
“Please, just take me home.”
Kim nods, pulling back from you to reach into your locker to grab your bag before handing it over to Beth who gives you a little smile, it doesn’t quite reach her eyes though, that’s how you know that whatever is happening, it’s not good at all.
You try your hardest to wipe away the tears with the sleeve of your hoodie, but it’s a losing battle, the salty liquid continuing to flow freely down your cheeks.
Viv replaces Kim, her arm flinging itself over your shoulders and shielding you from the outside world.
Without much fuss the couple pulls you out of the locker rooms and as quickly as they can towards the car park and back to the same car you’d arrived in this morning, this time though it’s so much harder, it feels nearly impossible, especially knowing that instead of the normal routine that entails the couple dropping you back to your apartment, this time you are going back to theirs.
Normally, you’re very happy to participate in a dinner or game night with the duet, but you know what going back to Viv and Beth’s means, it means accountability, change, pain, things you aren’t really sure if you’re ready for.
Viv makes the decision to slide into the back seat with you, a constant comfort as you try to navigate exactly what has just happened.
The ride to Viv’s and Beth’s is a blur, Viv drags you out of the backseat and into the elevator, then into their apartment.
You're too lost to do much more than let Viv lead you to the couch dropping Myle into your lap, who is apparently more than happy to cuddle up under the blanket that Beth throws at you.
All you can think about is what your teammates had to say. About the nights where you’d doubled up on pills to mask the mental pain of all the pressure you were taking on of leading a midfield without Kim, about how you felt like you would cripple up and break if you went a day without your pills, about how for the last few months the highlights of your day has been the pills in the bottle instead of the people around you, about how you’ve been finding more happiness in drugs instead of the life you are living, about how your whole life revolves around pain meds which you didn’t even need anymore.
Addicted wasn’t a word you had ever used in a sentence with you and drugs before, but now, it’s all that you can think about.
Addiction.
It had never been a possibility for you, how could you be addicted? Nobody you knew had ever had problems with pills, you’d done countless injuries including pain meds and never had a problem. No injury you’d ever done had such a negative reception though, the fans were fuming, your teammates were stressed, you were pressured. You needed to recover, for the good of everybody, pain meds were the way to get through that so you’d taken them, to fix all of the problems.
That was the reasoning your brain was using, it wasn’t perfect, but it made enough sense.
Beth sat down next to you and you felt at peace enough to meet her eyes.
They were calmer than before, you felt similarly, calmer, less like you were at war with yourself.
“I was so stupid that I didn’t even realise, I thought I was doing fine, I was so fucking stupid.”
Beth takes a deep gulp of air before she says anything, it’s hard to watch somebody who you’ve come to care about so dearly look like they are struggling so heavily to communicate with you.
“You’re not stupid. It’s not your fault. A lot of people enabled this to keep happening and you couldn’t have known better, what matters most is we are here for you now, the sooner before the later.”
You nod along to Beth, bringing a asleep Myle up to your chest and clutching onto him, the puppy is so soft, a big contrast to how you feel at the moment.
“I didn’t want to let everyone down.”
Beth sighs an oh so familiar sigh, the same sigh you heard every single time someone out of the acl crew mentioned how they felt like they were a burden or a problem or like they were letting the team down.
“You could never let any of us down, not really, sure we’re all very worried about you, but shit happens, life fucking happens. Every single day we all struggle, every person on this world, life is a bitch and the worst part is that we have people holding us accountable for it every single day. Fans, social media, teammates, we don’t get a break, even when we need it the very most. As teammates, it's our job to love you no matter what anybody is saying, you are different to every single human on earth, you have different needs, you don’t have to try to be someone you aren’t, we love you best when you try not to. Do not think for a moment that you will ever disappoint us, sure we can be angry and annoyed and disappointed with your actions but never you directly. We all love you no matter what, just be whoever you need to, not who you think everyone needs you too.”
You don’t know what to say, so you chose to say silent for a few seconds, really observing what Beth has just said, the complete honesty behind her words.
“I want to do better for you guys Beth, I don’t want to be reliant on drugs that I don’t need, I just don’t know how to live without them.”
Beth nods, her eyes all glazed and watery.
“Then we’ll help you, we’ll do whatever is necessary to help you, just let us in, let us be there for you.”

The Wonder Twins Universe
Part 1 Part 2 Part 3 Part 4 Part 5
— — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — —
Twins
Fraternal twins to be more specific
Leah is not only your sister, but she is also your best friend. You have always been there for each other. She was your biggest supporter and you were hers.
You were there for her when other kids made fun of her because of the way she walked and she was there for you whenever you had an injury.
It has always been Leah and y/n, the wonder twins.
You guys joined Arsenal’s academy and went through the ranks together but there was a problem and Leah always knew it.
Arsenal was Leah’s dream team but it wasn’t yours.
— — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — —
It seemed that defending was part of the Willamson’s blood. While Leah was a CB you were a defensive midfielder even though you could play as an offensive midfielder if needed.
After an amazing season with Arsenal Sarina decided to include you in the Euros squad.
During the tournament you were a key part of Sarina’s starting 11. Your impact was incredible, some even called you England’s motor because your tempo in the midfield was part of the things that dictated England’s game pace.
Winning the Euros had been the highlight of your life. Nothing compared to playing for your country with your sister as captain, your best mates and winning at home soil in Wembley. You were in cloud nine.
— — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — —
It was known that after your amazing Euros performance you were going to call the attention of some of the biggest clubs in Europe.
You knew that you were entering the last year of your contract with Arsenal and that you had to take a decision really soon.
— — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — —
You were sitting in your living room of your shared apartment with Leah when your phone ringed, it was your manager James.
“y/n I know you just got home some days ago from a well deserved Euros celebration but I wanted to remind you of our meeting with Jonas tomorrow”
“Don’t worry James I’ll be there tomorrow”
If anything you knew the reason of tomorrow’s meeting, it was to know more about Arsenal’s contract extension offer and to learn about the offers received by Arsenal for you.
— — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — —
“So what happened in the meeting with Jonas sis” Leah asked while she saw you preparing pasta for the both of you
You were scared to see Leah’s reaction of your next words. How could you not, it has always been Leah and y/n, y/n and Leah.
“The meeting was to check what the club was offering as an extension and to…. see the offers received for me made by other clubs”
As soon as the words left your mouth the only thing heard was the sound the pastas boiling water.
When Leah heard those words she got scared, she has only known how to play with you on the field.
The chemistry she had with you she wouldn’t have it no one else, for you guys on and off the field words weren’t needed to communicate with one look you guys knew what the other one was going to do. It was twins telepathy.
“What clubs want’s you to play for them?” Leah said staring at you
“Lyon, ManCity, Barcelona, PSG, Real Madrid and obviously there is the club extension offer”
Leah knew that sooner or later your dream club was going to make an offer for you and that Arsenal has always been her dream, you joined Arsenal because of her. She will always be grateful for you, there was no one else with who she would have liked to share her path with. There was no better partner than her twin.
Now it was her turn. You were there for her when she was younger and had doubts of her skills, when she cried because of a broken heart, when she got mad with her friends because of something stupid and you were always the voice of reason, you made her laugh when no one else could and now it was her turn. It was her turn to push you to follow your dreams even if it meant going separate ways, she knows that the national team will always be there for you guys to play together.
“Call James and tell him you are accepting another clubs offer”
“ What are you saying Leah?! Are you crazy?! Arsenal is home, we can play together if I stay” You said with a loud voice. You never imagined that Leah was going to encourage to leave.
Leah moved next you to give you a hug.
“I know that sis, I know that Arsenal is my dream club and that you joined the academy because of me. You’ve always done things for me and now it’s time for you to follow your dreams, to start your own journey. Don't worry we will always be the wonder twins no matter where we are”
Those words were everything that you needed to hear. You knew that everything was going to be alright with your twin by your side nothing would stop you.
You separated from Leah and looked at her as she mirrored your red eyes caused by crying, she had a smile on her face.
While looking at your phone you searched for James contact, you looked back at Leah who was nodding while you pressed the call button.
After three rings James picked up and the call that changed your future started
“Hey James I need you to call Jonas and tell him that I’m not extending my contract. That they can start negotiating my transfer with …”
— — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — —
After reading so many stories and imagines of so many amazing authors I decided give it a try and to write my first story.
English isn’t my first language so if I made any grammatical mistakes please tell me as I want to improve my writing skills.
If I do part 2, what club do you guys want?

you're not alone (arsenal x teen reader)
Tumblr media
I'm back! very sorry pt2 took so long but thank you for waiting :) there will be a pt3 (wouldn't mind people sending some ideas of how it should go) which will try to get done in the next week or 2. anyways, enjoy!
warnings: eating disorders, illusions to throwing up, angst with some fluff at the end (pls let me know if I've missed anything)
proofread: sort of
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The warm water trickled down your body. You were sat in the shower, eyes staring at the tiled floor. Your fingers had started to grow soft and wrinkly. You don’t know how long you had been in there, lost in your own thoughts about dinner tonight. What would you order, what would you wear, would people judge?
Team dinners were nights you use to enjoy, nights filled with fun and laughter, but that was before everything. Now you just felt uncomfortable and awkward, never knowing what to do with yourself. You hadn't attended a team dinner, or any team bonding's that involved food, for a good while. Always coming up with some excuse as to why you couldn’t attend.
Beth and Viv had insisted that you go to this one though, leaving no room for arguments.
You slowly stood up turning the hot water off. Grabbing a towel and heading straight for your room, slamming the door behind you.
Viv flinched at the sound, looking towards Beth who was sitting on the couch wrapped in a blanket with Myle. Walking over, she placed a soft kiss on top of the older girl's forehead, sitting down next to her. Beth smiled in return, resting her head on top of Viv shoulder as a comfortable silence filled the room.
The two hadn't talked to you about what happened today, both wanting to wait till tomorrow; when you all had the day off, to bring it up with you. They weren't sure how to go about it, both scared at how you will react, will you accept that you need help? Or will you deny what they both knew was clearly happening and sink further in to the walls that you had slowly started to put up.
The comfortable silence was soon interrupted by your loud footsteps coming down the stairs. They both turned in your direction and taking in your form, you didn’t look great if they were being honest, you looked tired, your lips were chapped, skin pale and dark eyebags plagued your face, you looked sick.
You stood there, awkwardly holding a hairbrush in your right hand and a hair tie in your left.
“Would one of you be able to brush my hair please” your voice was hoarse and scratchy, standing there fiddling with the hair tie between your fingers waiting for an answer.
“OfCourse love” Beth said, sitting up straight from Viv's arms, lightly patting the floor Infront of her.
A small smile graced your face as you mumbled a quiet thanks and shuffled your way towards her. sitting down with your legs crossed handing her both the hair tie and brush.
As Beth started to slowly detangle the ends of your hair, your mind started to wonder again. You thought about the events that took place earlier that day and guilt quickly started to spread across your body. Why had you yelled at Caitlin like that? All she was doing was checking in on you and you had gone and snapped at her Infront of your teammates.
“I'm sorry about today” you whispered out. Beth stopped her movements for a brief second before continuing as she spoke.
“it's okay love, but it's not us you need to be apologizing to” She was almost surprised, not expecting you to apologize so fast.
“I'll apologize to her tonight, it's at her and katies places, isn't it?” you asked, turning around to see both women nodding their heads.
It was silent again after that. The only sounds coming from your tangled hair as Beth tried to run the brush threw it as gently as she could, not wanting to hurt you. You sat like that for at least half an hour while picking at your nails; an unhealthy habit you had picked in your early teen years.
“How do you want your hair liefde?” Viv asked while switching spots with Beth. Viv had always been better at doing hair, she braided it for you on most game days, but she wasn’t as gentle as Beth when it came to brushing out the tangles.
“Just a half up half down, please”
Viv nodded and got straight to work. As soon as your hair was finished you rushed up stairs to put on outfit, opting for a pair of baggier jeans and your arsenal hoodie. Both the older women waiting for you by the door, Viv jiggling the car keys in her hand.
“Ready to go then?”
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Katie and Caitlin's house were already packed with cars out the front when you arrived, with most of your team already there. You got out of the car and waited for Beth and Viv before walking up to the front door and knocking 3 times.
You stood behind Beth as Caitlin opened the door, ushering you all in and giving each of you a short hug. Beth and Viv both made their way to the living room, Caitlin quick to follow them but before she left, she felt your hand clutch around her Rist.  She turned and looked towards were you held her Rist with furrowed eyebrows and then back to you.
“I- uh sorry” you said while dropping her hand “I just wanted to apologize for today, I shouldn't have snapped at you like that Infront of everyone. I was in a horrible mood today which isn't an excuse, but I still wanted to apologize” you rambled as you played with the sleeves of your hoodie, eyes looking anywhere but at Caitlin, feeling too guilty to look her in the eye.
“Hey, it's okay, I get it we all have bad days” she pulled you into another hug “thank you for apologizing though.”
The two of you walked into the living room where everyone was spread out. Your eyes searched the room trying to find Beth or Viv, they soon settled on Beth who was arguing with Krya over what movie they were going to watch during dinner, Lessie being stuck between the two girls.
“you two are children, honestly” she said while snatching the remote out of their hands and putting on Beths choice. You walked over and sat next to Beth, resting your hand on her shoulder.
“where's Vivi?” you looked up towards her.
“She in the kitchen helping with dinner, pretty sure were having some form of pasta and salad.”
You gulped at the thought, you hadn't eaten pasta in a while and the thought of eating it in front of the team made a shiver go down your spine.
Maybe you could just have the salad? That won't hurt, you thought while picking at your nails, Beth took notice and grabbed your hands.
“You know, you always complain about how your nails never grow yet you still continue chew them off every chance you get” she let out a soft chuckle “what's on your mind love.”
“I apologized” was all you said to the women. You felt her lightly kiss the top of your head before pulling you into a little side hug.
“Good job, I'm very proud of you” her words brought a genuine smile to your face, Beth was always good at that, even on your toughest days she always seemed to find a way to but a smile on your face, even if it was just a small one.
“Alright everyone dinners ready! Come and serve ya selves” the soft moment was interrupted by katies loud voice calling out to everyone.
You all made your way over to the kitchen, grabbing bowls and plates, everyone putting the food of their choice on their plates. As you went to grab your own you were stopped by someone calling your name, turning around to find Viv already holding a bowl out for you.
“I got all your favorites” she said with a smile while handing it to you. She was right, it did contain all your favorite, cheesy pasta, 2 pieces of garlic bread and a bit of Caeser salad. You mumbled a thank you while walking back towards the couch and squishing yourself as far as you could into the corner of it.
You moved your food around with your fork for a bit before bringing a small amount up to your mouth, hand shaking slightly, you took a deep breath hesitating slightly as you put it in your mouth, chewing slowly. You could feel the tears well in your eyes as you took another small bite, hands getting shakier and shakier every time you brought the fork to your mouth. You felt a tear fall down your face slightly, quickly bringing a hand to wipe it before anyone notices it.
Someone did though. You didn’t know it, but you had several eyes watching you as you ate your food. Leah, Viv, Beth and Alessia had all been taking glances at you throughout dinner. Your shacky frame and tearful eyes didn’t go un-noticed by any of them.
As everyone got up to put their dishes in the sink, you took the opportunity to sneak off to the bathroom, leaving your half-eaten dinner on the arm of the couch.
You turned the light and fan on when you entered, locking the door behind you. As you kneeled in front of the toilet you tied the rest of your hair back taking a deep breath.
Alessia hadn't watched you go to the bathroom, but your absence didn’t go un-noticed by her as she looked towards your now empty spot of the couch and your barley eaten dinner left on the arm. She wasn’t sure where you had gone but she had small hunch she knew where shed fined you.
You jumped as you opened the door, almost falling to the ground, Alessia was standing right Infront of it with her fist raised ready to knock. She too jumped back surprised. She stood there awkwardly playing with her fingers starting at you, thinking over what she was about to say to you.
“Do you need the bathroom? Or…” you spoke breaking the awkward silence.
“Oh ah, no sorry” she took a small step back “I was just wondering where you went, you were gone for a little bit.”
“Well, I was in here, no need to worry” you gave her a tight-lipped smile while awkwardly raising your hands. You liked Alessia, you had only met her a few months ago when she signed for arsenal, but she was a kind girl and in the short time Shes been here she had already felt the need to look out for you as most of the girls did after they met you, perks of being the baby of the team.
“Look, I know you're sick of people asking this but are you sure you're, okay? You barely touched your food, and it looks like you’ve been crying” she tried to look at you in the eyes but yours were looking anywhere but her. “it's alright, you don’t have to talk to me about it, but I am here if anything's bothering you” she said while ducking her head down to finally meet your eyes with a soft, warm smile.
You took a deep breath “there's nothing to talk about, I just ate something before we got here, and it made me feel a little sick is all.’’ You picked at your nails while you talked.
A silence fell between the two of you again as she looked at you. She took in your watery eyes and the way the rest of your hair was tied behind your ears now.
“Can I go now?” you huffed.
She stood there for a moment contemplating whether or not to say the next words that were about to fall out of her mouth. You tried to get past her, but she stopped you with a hand on your shoulder.
“what's really going on y/n?” she questioned and when you didn’t answer she took it as an opportunity to push you a bit further. “Talk to me love”.
You don’t know why, maybe it was the comforting hand of your shoulder or the way she spoke so softly to you, but you felt tears well up in your eyes. She noticed to and quickly pulled you in the bathroom again and locked the door, pulling you in to a tight bear hug. That’s what really got you crying, your faced and Alessias jumper quickly getting soaked.
“it's okay” she was lacing her fingers through your hair, rocking you side to side in at a comforting pace.
“I'm sorry” you chocked out, burying your face into chest more while sobbing.
“You don’t have anything to be sorry for love, okay? I  ju-” she cut her self-off before continuing “we, just want to help you, okay? But we can't do that unless you tell us what's going on” she spoke, still playing with your hair softly.
“You won't be mad?” you sniffed, finally taking your head out of her chest and looking down at the tear-stained patch that was left behind.
“Never” she said while holding your face in her hands, gently wiping the tears away.
You fully pulled back from her now, moving over to sit on the toilet. You sat there for a while trying to gather your thoughts and were to start, your leg was bouncing up and down while you were lost in thought. A soft hand on your knee brought you back.
“Whatcha thinking?” she asked, her fingers rubbing soothing circles on your knee.
“I don’t know what to say” it came out as a whisper and if less wasn’t as close to as she was right now, she's sure she would have missed it. “Everyone just been so mean since I came back…I mean I knew I had gained a little weight, but I didn’t think it was that bad” you took a deep breath “but then everyone started pointing it out online, so I turned my comments off on Instagram but then they started saying stuff on our official Instagram and then on twitter and…” you trailed off.
“And what?” she pushed.
“I don’t know why I read them in the first place” your eyes started to sting again “it just started off with missing breakfast and few extra trips to the gym but no- now I can't stop” you broke down again, clutching on to the girl Infront of you as she wrapped her arms around you for a second time.
“I didn’t mean for it to go this far” you sobbed out.
“Shh, it'll all be okay, okay? We’ll get you the help you need alright love.”
“No!” you shot out of her grasp “no you can't tell anyone" You looked at her with pleading eyes.
“y/n, you can't keep doing this to yourself, it's dangerous, really fucking dangerous.” Her voice was stern this time “I've been in a similar position to, and I can assure you that I was not strong enough to perform at the level that we do, and if I wasn’t strong enough then you definitely aren't.” She sighed looking at your tear-stained face. “You need help y/n, I know it's scary to ask for it, but I promise you no one is going to judge you for needing it. We’re all worried about you love, Beth and Viv especially” you nodded with every word she said, just staring at the floor. You had never meant to worry Beth and Viv; you hated it when they worried about you.
“I’ll talk to them tomorrow” your voice was horsed and sore from crying.
“I'm so proud of you for saying something, I know that wouldn’t have been easy for you” less stood up bringing you up with her and pulling you into one more hug.
“you're not alone in this” she whispered.

Player (Leah Williamson x Reader)
Request can be found here. I'm loving writing for some new people! 2.8k words x
Tumblr media
You weren’t exactly proud of your reputation but you also had nothing to be ashamed of.
You liked having a good time and your teammates were included in that, they always knew what the deal was and you made sure no-one ever got hurt. You had rules and you stuck by them, the biggest of them all to never get feelings and never make it to a second night.
When you got the chance to move to Arsenal from your hometown club of Wolfsburg it definitely wasn’t a decision you took lightly. Everyone knew of your situation there, they were like a family to you and never judged you for all the bad decisions you made. But you lived your life so far taking risks and you never backed away from a challenge, so that’s how you found yourself stood outside the Arsenal training centre on a sunny August morning ready to start the preparation for the new season.
“Y/N, hey!” The unmistakable voice of Katie came out from nowhere startling you from your thoughts. “You just going to stand out here?”
“Very funny.” You muttered bringing her in for a hug. “It’s nice to properly meet you.”
“You too.” Your move was announced just before the Euro’s and your former teammate in Noelle had added you to the club group chat. The players had introduced themselves on there and you had the odd friendly chat with players after a game in the tournament but this was the first time you would be properly meeting everyone.
“Come on, everyone’s excited to meet you.”
Katie informed you on the way that everyone would be in the dining room for breakfast before training. Having played in the final for Germany you would be joining the England girls as the last to arrive back for pre-season, knowing you would just be in the gym today.
You must have been the last to arrive as you walked into the crowded dining room. “Guys.” The Irish woman grabbed the attention of the room, all eyes immediately focusing on you. “This is Y/N.” There was a general greeting back to you as you scanned the room trying to make eye contact with all the friendly faces.
Kim being the captain was the first to come over, breaking your scanning of the room as she went with you to get a morning coffee, talking you through what was going to happen. You got the idea that the team always had breakfast together before moving to whatever that day entailed in training. You had joined slightly late but she assured you that there was enough time for the coffee.
There were very few seats left but you found one free next to your fellow defenders in Jen and Lotte.
“Hey,” You said taking a seat. “It’s nice to meet you all.”
“Not quite the circumstances we met last time.” Lotte said referring to your place on the losing side in the Euro’s final.
Thankfully even though you wouldn’t consider yourself to be fluent, your English was very good so you could understand everyone. “Not quite.”
3 weeks prior: Euro’s final
The final whistly had blew, it wasn’t enough. Your dream was over.
120 minutes of giving it your all only to fall at the final hurdle.
It was as if the energy had been zapped from your whole body, your legs giving way as you fell to the floor. Every emotional just flooded out of you as you buried your head into the grass hiding the tears streaming down your face.
You felt a hand on your back, slightly lifting your head to find an unknown England player’s boots as they knelt down beside you. “You gave it everything. Let’s win the Champions League together.” Of course it had to be the England captain herself, a player you admired so greatly.
You couldn’t bring yourself to make eye contact with the captain however you sat up enough to bring her in for a hug. “Congratulations, go and enjoy it.”
“Thank you.”
You shared a short conversation with Beth before she was whisked away for all her duties, Lotte the final player to make her way over.
“Congratulations.” You once again said bringing her in for a hug now you’d stood back up. “This is some atmosphere.” The majority may have been cheering against you but you couldn’t help but soak in all the people here to watch you play.
“It’s incredible. You were too by the way, I’m looking forward to working together.”
“Thank you, enjoy tonight for me.”
“I’m sure we will.”
You watched them lift the trophy and despite your overwhelming sadness you were excited to play with these players and have a new start.
…..
You’ll never forget the first time you properly met Leah. Probably because to this day you were still embarrassed about the whole thing.
Lotte and Beth led you to the gym area where you would be for the rest of the morning which annoyed you to no end, just wanting to get out onto the pitch again after the final disappointment.
Though there were some drawbacks, for the majority of the time you prided yourself on your confidence. It helped you make friends, allowed you to show off your qualities and to put it bluntly it usually helped with the girls.
That’s how you found yourself in the weight section, clad in just a sports bra and shorts rolled all the way up as you wiped the sweat from running down your forehead.
“So….” You leaned against the bar and watched as Beth ran on the treadmill. “Is it true? About you and Viv?”
“Is what true?” The English woman questioned back.
“Has she got in before I got the chance? Who knows maybe I can still persuade you to go to dinner with me?” You could see the other woman trying to process what you said in her head so you put her out of her misery. “I’m joking, don’t look so worried.”
“So the rumours are true then…”
“Depends what rumours you’re talking about.”
“That, no offence, you get around.” Katie again appeared from behind you. “Again, no offence.”
“None taken, I mean if you’re surrounded by beautiful women all day then you appreciate them a little bit more and they were all very beautiful.”
“Who’s beautiful?” Another voice questioned and you turned to face the one woman you’d yet to meet, the one who you’d been waiting to meet. The woman you’d had probably the biggest crush ever on since you’d met her that day in Wembley.
“Oh, uh…” You stuttered. “Well you see Katie was just asking-“
“Y/N was just explaining her love of dogs.” It perhaps wasn’t the most believable lie but you were thankful for Lotte making that up on the spot. “I think you probably meant to say cute.”
“Yeah”
“Well it’s nice to meet you.” God what was happening to you. This was so embarrassing as Leah leant over to give you a hug and something just took over your whole body. It was like you couldn’t move your arms as you almost stayed like a statue. “Have you had a good break?”
“Uh, yeah I just spent a few weeks with my family. Caught the sun.”
“I can see that.” Where was the confidence now as Leah very obviously checked you out her eyes running over your tanned arms and legs. “Fancy coming on the bike with me? I’d like to get to know my new partner.”
“Yeah sure.”
“Is that the only word you know?”
“What do you mean?”
“Ah so you do say other words than yeah, I swear that’s been your answer to like all my questions.” The blonde teased getting on the bike next to you as you both started at a gentle pace.
“I’m sorry, I’m just a bit, I don’t know.” Any normal person would say nervous but you didn’t get nervous.
“It’s ok to be nervous, it must be a lot when you don’t know anyone. Well you know Noelle but you get my point.”
“Mm.” You couldn’t help but get a good look at Leah as she faced forward. Her whole appearance was just so commanding from her serious expression to her classic high ponytail and chiselled jawline.
“How was it back in Germany?”
“Huh?” What had happened?
“After the final.”
“Oh.” Get a grip. “It was incredible, maybe not on the same scale as in England but thing have definitely changed.”
“Why now then? Why not stay in Germany at your hometown club?”
“Why not?” You questioned back. “I’m 25 and it feels like now is the best time to go, my family were very encouraging.”
“Understandable.”
…..
The two of you spent a lot of time together over the next week or so. You’d often make the excuse that you needed to get to know your defensive partner, learn more about each other but the two of you just got to know each other. You learnt about her family, you told her about your own, she gave you the low down on all your new teammates and you told her about your ambitions.
The blank moments though continued, it was like it would only happen in specific moments, when she would make eye contact with you, when she’d sub-consciously touch your leg or graze your arm. Your mind just couldn’t concentrate on anything else. You’d been doing weights together when you suddenly forgot the name of your family dog back at home and what you’d had for dinner the previous evening.
Thankfully no-one else had yet to be witness to these moments. Until now.
You joined the rest of the team out on the pitch, Lotte and Jen had joined you as first out that sunny morning as you started playing with the free balls. This was when you were most confident, flicking the ball up in the air, showing off all your tricks. This was your comfort zone.
Your one touch football was something you prided yourself in and that’s why you flicked the ball up in the air in a series of moves receiving whistles from the two other girls only to be interrupted by a third voice.
“Impressive, maybe you can give me some lessons someday.” Damn the eye contact and one again you almost seemed to zone out, completely forgetting about the ball which you’d just flicked up in the air and therefore came crashing down on top of your head, breaking you out of your daydream.
“Fuck.”
It wasn’t anything serious and your teammates knew that which meant they all just burst out in laughter, your hand coming up to rub the slightly delicate spot on the top of your head.
“Very funny.” You told them.
“Maybe I don’t need the lessons after all.” Leah teased snatching a ball from your feet. “Come on let’s see what you can do with your feet this time.”
…..
It didn’t get better. In fact maybe it got worse.
In the following month you’d managed to spill your drink on her during breakfast, skied a penalty when she jokingly placed herself in the net and made countless errors in drills when up against her.
You’d played your first match together at the weekend and thankfully your game plan wasn’t affected by your growing crush. In game you were the serious defender you were known to be, sweet talking your way out of a few dubious tackles with the ref and denying a massive chance for the opposition in the final minute to close out the win for Arsenal.
“Y/N do you fancy coming round for dinner tonight?” Leah asked when you sat down the next morning with your toast and a coffee.
You could feel your heart start racing when she asked that question, what did she mean? As a date? As a friend? “Yeah, maybe we can order something in, as a treat.”
“Great, I think that’s seven of us now so we could all get a takeaway.” You didn’t let your face drop as you realised for better or worse that it wasn’t just going to be the two of you. “I’ll text you my address.”
“See you tonight.” You whispered as you watched her walk away from the table, instead coming to meet the eyes of Lia and Katie sat opposite you.
“I’m watching you.” Lia smirked. “I see that look in your eye.”
“Someone’s got a little crush.” Katie teased.
“Shut up.”
Leah had stayed true to her word and messaged you her address for that night. You all agreed to a takeaway but of course you couldn’t turn up empty handed and that’s how you turned up at her door with a wine bottle in one hand and a box of chocolates in the other. Thankfully you’d also all agreed to stay casual, your yoga pants and a sweatshirt suitable for the evening.
Lia opened the door for you, once again smirking as she let you into Leah’s apartment, a scowl from you enough to keep her silent.
“Y/N.” Leah said as you walked through into the lounge area where the group were congregated, the England captain the one to stand up and pull you in for a hug. Her arms were barely round your waist for a few seconds but that was enough to get your cheeks as red as a tomato something not missed by your sniggering teammates.
“You alright there?” Katie asked from her position on the sofa. “Something on your cheek.”
“It’s just a bit hot out there.” You muttered. “I need a drink.”
The night was going well, you’d all enjoyed a Chinese and enjoyed a few drinks, though you were only a tiny bit tipsy, before moving back into the living area to play a few board games.
Sadly first up was the worst of them all. Twister.
“Y/N left hand yellow.” That smirk was almost a permanent feature on Katie’s face as she read out the instructions and saw your current predicament. It would have been a simple move had Leah not been in the way. The only way to get your hand down was to basically hover or straddle over her waist as she basically did the crab underneath you.
If it was anyone else in this situation you probably would have laughed, sadly it was you and that red flush was coming up again. You moved across, avoiding eye contact with the woman below you as you tried to avoid eye contact with the woman.
“When I said I wanted to get to know you I didn’t quite mean this.” Leah whispered, her head mere inches away from your own. “Is it getting too hot in here again?”
“Something like that.”
You let everyone else have their turn before it came back around to you. “Y/N left hand green.” You’d done well so far to avoid any actual contact with Leah’s body before this instruction which meant you basically had to reach underneath her body to reach the green dot.
Your balance was good but not this good and before you could save yourself you fell straight onto the woman sending the both of you toppling onto the floor. In trying to save the both of you, you tried to reach down for the floor but instead of coming in contact with the carpet you instead you just grazed Leah’s chest being met with the bare skin from her cropped shirt.
“I’m so sorry.” You immediately jumped up. “Leah, I’m so sorry.”
In a stark contrast to your panicked face Leah couldn’t keep the laughter in, hunching over almost in tears with the rest of the girls. “Don’t worry about it honestly.” She said before moving in to whisper in your ear. “Maybe we could go on a date to make up for it?”
“Seriously?”
“Seriously.” She confirmed before moving out of the room, leaving you alone with all the curious faces as a little happy smile came up on your face.
“You’re such a loser you know that.” Katie teased as you sat down next to her. “You know you practically couldn’t keep your eyes off her the whole meal.”
“How on earth did you ever get laid by so many women when you can’t even think when you’re around them.” Beth teased.
“You have no game.” Lotte agreed.
“That’s how I managed to get a date with her then.” You teased back your confidence rising. “What can I say Leah is just unique. Very unique.”

Kinktober day 9
Roy Harper + sweat and Musk
Tumblr media
Couldnt find a gif of roy, so heres a pic instead.
Still tired, I want a monster so bad, specifically the white one :/ How tf did this get so long, hello?
Reader is a speedster, cuz idk.
Kinktober 2023 masterlist
Roy Harper was hot, everyone on your team and outside of it knew that. From his cocky grin, to his long red hair tucked away into a red cap, and his stupidly thick muscular arms. You weren’t too bad to look at either, but where Roy’s bulk was in his arms, yours was in your legs. It came with the area of being a speedster, you all had some shapely legs that would catch eyes if you wore tight enough pants.
They used to call you White bolt, but like most heroes who had started out as sidekicks, you’d changed your name to Bizerk. It had started out as a title of sorts, given to you when you had ended up stuck in a different dimension, where the justice league called them the justice lords. Bizerk had started out as a name they called you, as you hadn’t existed in this dimension, leaving you as an unknown. It later became a name the public called you, but from them there had been love and hope.
You had been stuck in that dimension for a long time, having ended up there back when you had just turned 19, and you had only gotten back to your dimension in your mid-20s. It had been difficult to readjust to this dimension, where the justice league were still good and your friends were all alive and had missed you. You were still twitchy at times, and your moral compass was twisted, but that’s what made you fit with the outlaws so well.
Sadly, your relationship with your former teacher, Barry, was almost crumbled to dust as neither of you were who you were before, having both lost so much, seen so much, done things you didn’t want to do. Instead of being student and teacher, almost family like you once had been, you were now simply coworkers who might share a coffee after patrols, or you’d keep extra snacks around for fellow speedsters.
One thing that hadn’t changed too much though had been Roy. Sure, he was bigger now, buffer, he had almost left you unconscious with those arms of his when he had hugged you the first time, and again later when you two were alone and hed kissed you like he wanted to eat you alive. Before you had been scooped away to another dimension, you two had had a thing between you. There had never been a title on it, but you two always sought the other out and always found yourselves dry humping in an alleyway or sucking the other off between missions.
Apparently, he had spiralled into addiction, left the arrow name behind, had a kid, gotten out of addiction, then joined the outlaws, and so much more. There hadn’t really been much of a question on your part as you sided with the outlaws almost immediately, since that was where Roy, Kory, and later you found out Jason, the one robin you liked, was part of it too. So, now the outlaws had their own speedster who ran as fast if not faster than the rest of them, and didn’t have a problem spilling blood.
For a while, you and Roy didn’t talk about any of it, or the feelings you both still possessed years later. You weren’t young men who denied their sexuality like before, or who had the energy to pull a quickie just because you wanted too. You still could, of course, but neither of you seemed to find the same thrill as when you were younger. As you both toed around the inevitable, you resorted to less than stellar acts to satiate yourself.
You hadn’t gotten off well for years, as running around in a dimension as one of the few heroes against a regime didn’t leave much time. But now that you were home and safe, it was like your body was trying to catch up. You realized it might have started to become a problem when Roy had returned to your shared apartment, because you guys didn’t wanna be apart though neither said it in words, in a red tanktop and sweaty from the gym.
He had thrown his arms around your head as you had sat on the couch going through one of the many video games you had missed in your time away, and you had popped a stiffy almost immediately. Roy didn’t seem to notice how you tensed, as you always tensed from touch these days, but you felt drool pooling in your mouth as the scent of his sweat filled your senses.
Or maybe he had, as he started showing up more and more to your shared place, fresh from the gym or from a run, and he would always drape himself over you like some damsel in distress. It got so bad you almost started vibrating like only a speedster could, and you ended up resorting to nicking his musky laundry when he wasn’t home. Huffing that stupid red tank top of his, one you were sure he hadn’t washed for the past week even though hed worn in every day, you came hard enough that you didn’t stop buzzing around the edges for at least fifteen minutes.
You felt like a pervert as you snuck the tank top back into the laundry, trying hard to ignore how you were already hard and throbbing again. Being a speedster came with many positives, and depending on who you were, an almost non-existent refractory period was one of them. But for you, it was a curse, as no matter how many times you jerked off inhaling Roy’s potent laundry you still ached for more.
You felt like you were going crazy, as your inability to satisfy yourself left you agitated, and it spilled into your hero work. You hit enemies too hard, had much less patience, and couldn’t think straight, which had been your biggest strength in the other dimension. Even worse was the fact that Roy seemed to just love going around in that sleeveless getup of his, he had even started forgoing any layers under leaving his sweaty pits right in your face when hed pull you into his side after missions.
A less stable part of your brain told you just to kill him, because he was driving you up the wall like a half wild animal and you had no idea what to do. It ended with you trying to find different ways to work out your frustration, which ended up with you blasting music in your headphones as you pushed the leagues gym equipment to their limits.
None of your friends seemed to want to get close to you when you were in the mood you were in, maybe it was the murderous look on your face as you lifted weights or did an uncountable number of push-ups. You hadn’t even noticed Roy was there until you were packing up to go home, your entire body jittering and buzzing around the edges from exhaustion. Just as you were ready to hike home, Roy had hooked that deliciously stupid arm around your shoulder and declared you’d walk back together.
Maybe it was your frayed nerves, but he smelled even stronger today than usual, and the less stable part of your brain just wanted to shove him up against the wall and slobber all over his arms and pits like some kind of dog in heat. But you were stronger than that, that was until you guys stepped into your apartment and Roy shoved his face into your neck and inhaled loudly. You felt yourself give an almost painful throb at the groan he let out, your frazzled semblance of control slipping between your fingers like sand as he grunted how good you smelled.
What little restraint you both possessed seemed to finally snap, and soon your lips were mashed together, tongues rubbing and spit running down chins as clothes were pulled or even ripped off sweaty bodies. You had no idea whose bedroom you ended up in, you were too distracted by Roy grabbing your knees, pulling them open, and shoving his face into the crevice between your thighs and crotch.
The two of you moaned in unison, Roy from the powerful onslaught of musk that filled his senses, and you from the redhead’s wet tongue slobbering across the salty skin. His rough hands gripped the back of your knees, pushing them up further and further until your lower body was lifted off the bed, his tongue searching down until he could press it against your hole.
You groaned and panted, pulling at his hair was Roy ate you out with the gusto of a starving man finally given a meal. You could hear him huffing and smelling you as he did it too, seemingly just as lost in your musk as you were in his. Your orgasm slammed into you like a lightning bolt as he pulled your sack into his mouth, worshipping your balls and taking in the scent and taste of them. You didn’t even notice it approaching until you had white stripes across your sweaty torso.
You weren’t even soft for a whole thirty seconds before you were filling up again, especially as Roy’s tongue dragged up your body, licking up the streaks of white he had caused you to spill. Your lips met in another sloppy kiss, slick and wet noises filling the room as you hooked your arms around his head, wanting him closer than was humanly possible.
As you kissed Roy’s hand gripped your length, jerking it with a speed that had your hips jolting off the bed. So little was needed for you to cum again, spilling into his palm this time as he sucked on your tongue like it was a delectable treat. As he withdrew, he patted your muscular thigh with his clean hand, panting for you to roll over, which you did with no question asked.
His spit slick lips kissed up your back as he smeared your own essence against your spit slick hole, pushing two fingers in as he opened you up quicker than he might have any other day. You moaned, turning your head as you grabbed onto his head and twisted him enough that you could kiss him again. Two fingers soon became three, and your kiss became simply panting into the others mouth as you ground your hips back against his hand.
As he pulled his fingers out of your hole, you used your speed to grab him and flip him, throwing him onto his back so you could sit down on his aching almost purple length, the two of you both moaning though his sounded more cracked and broken than your own as he hadn’t cum even once. Roy was about to grip your hips, but you forced his arms above his head as you started to ride him.
Roy was about to ask what you were up too before you leaned down, letting the flat of your tongue run through his pits just like you had wanted to do for months. The redhead laughed and started moving his hips, thrusting up into you as he kissed at any skin of yours, he could reach, letting his tongue lick up any sweat he came across.
You ended up licking from his pits, up his neck, and into his mouth once more, Roy groaning in pleasure at the taste of his own salty sweat as your hips struck down on his own. Now that his hands were free, Roy quickly grabbed onto your hips and flipped you over, letting his thrusts turn rougher as you scratched and clawed at his back.
You were sure you had came multiple times as you two continued like a pair of rabbits, but your refractory period was so shot you didn’t even go soft. You knew Roy was about to finish as his thrusts slowed to a deep stomach-turning roll, his groans turning into higher moans as his jaw dropped. The flash of warmth inside you had you spilling against your chest again, clenching up around Roy in a way that had him jolting and grunting.
He flopped down on top of you, both of you even more sweaty and exhausted than before, and when he started lazily licking at your sweaty neck and you smacked at his shoulder. Roy chuckled softly as he leaned back, looking at you with the type of love you two had always felt. The kiss he gave you this time was full of love instead of lust, but soon the loving kisses wasn’t enough to ignore the disgusting messes you both were.
Roy almost looked as sad as you felt as you two had to go shower and put on new sheets on what you saw was Roy’s bed, but it had to be done as you didn’t want to sleep in that type of filth. In Roy’s words, you just had to get dirty again if that was an issue. As you were about to fall asleep, Roy kissed your shoulder and muttered that he loved you and wanted you to be his forever, which caused you to chuckle softly as you rolled over, so you were face to face. Kissing his lips softly, you muttered that you loved him too, and you wanted the same. With a grin, Roy pulled you close, and together you fell asleep, feeling exhausted but oh so satisfied.

The Perfect Match
Roy Harper x Reader
Summary: A head cannon in which you are Roy’s perfect match.
Masterlist - Tip Jar
Tumblr media
Independence
Throughout Roy’s developmental years, he was always treated with excessive handholding, rules and over exertion of authority.
This has led Roy to feel resentful of constraints.
In his former years, Roy relished the freedom and exercising autonomy through the Outlaws.
Roy really appreciates the sense of freedom you give in your relationship.
Roy: “Would you be upset if I cancel our date tonight? Jason’s back in town.”
You were fully dressed up, ready for your hot date.
Y/n: “Nope.”
And you really meant it.
You took advantage of your hot fit and took yourself on a date.
The flexibility you give him is one of the key factors to your loving relationship.
Adventurous Spirit
Given Roy has spent most of his free time training and practicing the art of archery, Roy needs a romantic partner who shares the passion of adventure.
Roy: “Wow… I never seen anyone shoot the ground when the target is only 5 meters away.
Y/n: “I was just testing the bow resistance…”
Roy: “Uh-huh…”
Whilst you may not be the most talented archer or most fit individual. You are always keen to try and participate.
Your enthusiasm to do better is infectious and Roy just loves and appreciates your willingness to try and do better, especially when it comes to his interests.
Y/n: “Roy did you see, did you see?! I hit the outer ring!”
Supportive and Empathetic
Roy has had to endure many hardships throughout his developmental years which has plagued him every so often during his adult hood such as;
Addiction issues - not only does Roy have past entanglements with addictions which leads him to live a clean life. He had developed a critical eye for intentions, as a trusted friend was the cause to his addiction. Now, Roy analyses everything for deeper motivations. That’s just the result of the trauma and it’s a the reality in which you had accept. Whilst it can be insulting and exhausting to be under the microscope, you always speak your mind freely and bluntly.
Relationship dynamic of being in a team - it’s a struggle for Roy to build trust in others due to his past experiences. He has trouble letting people in, but once your in, you most certainly not getting out. You appreciate the value in which Roy holds you and makes you feel extra safe and comfortable knowing that Roy, no matter what, will always be there for you.
Responsibility as a hero - Roy has had to endure the heavy burden of protecting society as nothing more than a well trained human. Society is never short of criticism and Roy is hard on himself enough as it is. This can lead to feeling emotionally and physically strained. Roy cannot handle the criticism of his short comings when it comes to his romantic entanglements too.
Roy: “Y/n, baby, I’m so sorry I missed your birthday party, it’s just, this woman, and her child-“
Y/n: “Roy! I had the best birthday ever! I took lots of photos, so you could see it all when you finished your patrol. But we can do that later, do you want me to draw you a bath? Have you eaten yet?”
Roy: *pant* “aren’t you-“ *pant* “upset with me?”

Our Day - Alessia Russo/Reader
prompt: Alessia and R get married.
words: 4637
warnings: none
Tumblr media
(Y/N) POV
“You going to tell me what’s up with you now?”
Of course, Alessia had picked up that something was wrong with me on the drive back to our place. I swore that Alessia knew me better than myself; she certainly knew how to read me better than my family did.
But she wasn’t completely out of line. Normally, when she picked me up from the airport after I returned from a national team camp, I had stories to tell her about everything I had gotten up to either during practice or in my free time with Sonnett and Rose since they were the two that I was usually spotted hanging out with since neither Christen nor Ali had been called up in a while. But I had been completely silent the whole ride home and even as we headed inside.
I looked over my shoulder at Alessia as she shut the door behind her. I didn’t say anything to her, but I did hold my arms out to her. I melted into Alessia’s arms as soon as they wrapped around me. Nor did I hesitate to jump up to wrap my legs around Alessia’s waist as she moved her arms to hook them under my thighs so she could carry me.
“I just really want cuddles right now,” I softly said.
Alessia wasn’t one to deny me cuddles. I don’t think she had ever denied me cuddles since our freshman year at UNC.
We were in our room and in our bed under the covers in no time. I immediately curled up against Alessia. This was exactly what I needed after how the end of my trip home had turned out.
The two of us stayed there as we just took each other’s presence in. I had really missed having Alessia with me.
“Did you end up going to see your family?”
I nodded because I hadn’t actually decided if I was going to the family BBQ my parents had been hosting until that day. It had also been the first time since Alessia and I had decided to join the WSL that I had been to see my family by myself.
Alessia had quickly learned just how bad my relationship with my family was once we started dating. I had been hesitant about taking her to meet my parents because I was sure that they were going to have a lot of backhanded comments either about myself or Alessia. I hadn’t been wrong. The amount of comments they had made about me had concerned Alessia enough that she had asked me about it once they finally left after one of our home games at UNC.
I had to explain to Alessia how growing up with my younger sister meant that everything I had done was never enough in my parents’ eyes. If I had better grades than my sister? How dare I make her feel bad about herself for setting unreal expectations. I won the World Cup in 2015 just before I turned 16? I was on the bench for most of it whereas my sister had managed to make the cheerleading squad while I was gone. I got a full ride to go to the University of North Carolina between my grades and my soccer scholarship? Good because they had to save up so my sister could have a college fund just in case she wanted to go, so they weren’t going to help me if I didn’t have it covered by scholarships.
Spoiler alert: she never did want to go to college, so our parents just handed her the money for her to blow through as she pleased. None of us were entirely sure what happened to all the money, we just knew that she had already used it all up without investing it into anything.
After I won my second World Cup in 2019, my sister had been so upset that so much attention had been paid to me from so many people who knew my family that I had gotten scolded as soon as I had gotten to my parents’ house once we got back from France.
That was the first time Alessia’s family had also realized how badly my own family treated me as they had been helping Alessia settle back into the apartment that the two of us shared with Lotte. I had called Alessia crying so she had made the eight-hour drive the next day to pick me up before taking me back with her to UNC. Alessia’s parents had assured me that should I ever need somewhere to go for holidays to avoid my family that I was always welcomed at theirs.
“Want to tell me what happened?”
“I hate her.”
“Eve?”
Really Alessia didn’t even have to ask who I was talking about. I nodded my head in confirmation though as I buried my face in Alessia’s neck. The blonde striker threaded one of her hands into my hair as she started to massage my scalp.
“What did she do this time?”
“She wants our wedding.”
Alessia froze at that. I had the same reaction when I found out as well.
“She wants to have the same exact wedding as us?”
I shook my head as I tried to keep the tears at bay. Alessia reached up with her hand that wasn’t threaded in my hair to wipe away the tears.
“She wants to literally take our wedding. The date, the venue, and all of our vendors. She wants us to give it to her,” I said, causing Alessia to pull me closer to her. “And my parents are taking her side. It’s supposed to be our day and they all just want us to give it up like we haven’t been planning this since the Euros.”
“It’s okay, love,” Alessia softly said. I buried my head into her neck again. “It will be our day. You think any of our teammates will let them ruin it?”
I shook my head. I wasn’t sure if our teammates were more excited about our wedding than we were or not. Honestly, hearing Tooney talking about it with Alessia always brought a smile to my face. Not to mention that my own teammates were great at making sure that I never got too overwhelmed with all of the decisions that Alessia and I had to make. I think Sonnett had been the most excited for it outside of my team moms, but I also think it had more to do with her wanting to finally officially meet Tooney after all of the stories she heard me talk about what Tooney and Lessi got up to.
Alessia just held me as I tried to calm down. She would often softly whisper reassurances that everything would be okay, and we would have our day. I wasn’t sure how long the two of us laid there wrapped in each other’s arms, but I did know that I would always have Alessia.
“Why did Eve want to take our wedding?” Alessia asked again to break the silence.
“She’s pregnant.”
“I didn’t even know that her and John got engaged.”
I hadn’t either. It was obvious that my parents had known because they didn’t seem surprised like the rest of the family had been when Eve announced that they would be getting married soon.
“She said she wanted it before she started showing and so she wouldn’t have the stress of planning a wedding while she was pregnant,” I explained. It made no sense of how her decision would be fair to Alessia and I who had to be strategic about planning our own wedding to make sure that it wouldn’t clash with our WSL schedule or the NWSL schedule. But we had to be careful to make sure that we wouldn’t miss any callups to our respective national teams, especially considering that a huge majority of the people who would be attending were on our national teams. “As if we wouldn’t have to wait until 2026. But none of them are using their brains. As if Eve and John would get everything prepared to be married here in England? And the trips that they would need to be planned? Not to mention the amount of people who have already made arrangements to be here for our wedding.”
“John was on board with the idea?”
I understood why Alessia was asking. John and I had actually gotten along quite well. Alessia had gotten along with him as well. He was probably the only reason we had originally invited Eve and John.
“No, he seemed hesitant when Eve brought it up,” I admitted. John did seem genuinely uncomfortable when Eve had turned to me and even asked her to sit down. “He texted me later on and said that Eve had talked to him about it earlier, but he didn’t agree with asking me since they knew just how much planning it took for us to make sure that everyone we wanted to be there could. He also explained that he didn’t think Eve was going to bring it up or he would have warned me.”
“What did your parents say?”
“My dad asked why it mattered where we got married when I brought up that if we wanted to use the same venue we’d have to wait until 2026. And my mom told me that it was selfish because we weren’t expecting a child.”
“Why should it matter where Eve and John have their wedding then?”
“That’s what I said!”
“And why exactly can’t they wait until after Eve gives birth?”
“I don’t know.”
Alessia pulled me back into her side. It was all just so frustrating that it seemed like everything they were asking of me didn’t apply to my sister as well.
“You know we can always uninvite them, right? And we’ll let security know so that they won’t be allowed into the wedding.”
I knew it would be the next logical step for us. And it would have to be one for us to pursue to make sure that our own wedding didn’t get ruined because my family favored my sister more than me.
“Don’t worry, love,” Alessia said before she pressed a kiss to the top of my head. “I’m going to make sure that no one ruins our day.”
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I couldn’t help but let out a laugh once Alessia’s head came up from the bowl that her head had been buried in. Her face was covered in the whipped cream that the bowl had been filled with, but she was the first out of the group to blow a bubble with the gum she had gotten from her bowl. She sent me a grin as I shook my head before I headed for the front door once I heard the knock. I was hoping that it was the delivery driver here with our pizzas finally.
Alessia and I had been so busy figuring out games and practicing and wrapping up the planning for our wedding that we both had forgotten to figure out what we were going to prepare for dinner for the team. It was Leah who suggested that we just order pizza for the team and neither of us were going to argue against pizza.
“How much do I owe‒”
The smile immediately dropped into a frown when I cut myself off when I realized who was on my doorstep.
“What are you doing here?” I asked. I didn’t miss the way the woman winced at my tone. “Did being uninvited to the wedding not convey the message enough?”
I pushed the two further out onto the porch so that my teammates wouldn’t have to hear any of this. They were all quite aware that something serious had happened while I was visiting my family in New York, but Alessia and I had been entirely forthcoming about the situation.
“(Y/N), we need to talk to you,” Mom said.
“No, you need to leave. I have guests over.” I couldn’t believe that this kind of a move from my parents surprised me this much. “I don’t want to see either of you unless you are going to sincerely apologize for trying to hijack my wedding so that Eve could have it.”
“You need to prioritize your family,” Dad said as he pointed at me. “We all have to make sacrifices for our family. And this is a sacrifice that you need to make for your sister.”
“Oh, we all have to make sacrifices?” I asked. I shook my head as I let out a laugh at the thought. “And please tell me what kind of sacrifices that Eve has ever made for me?”
Both of my parents stood there in silence, and I wasn’t surprised. I knew that Eve had never done anything for me. I knew that Eve would never do anything for me either.
“That’s what I thought. Because she’s never done anything for this family. I never had anything growing up except for soccer and I barely had that because Eve was so jealous of my success with the one thing that I really loved that you two nearly forbad me from playing,” I pointed out as I shoved my finger into my father’s chest. I was tired of letting my family step on me. “The amount of times I had to share my birthday with her when her own is in the winter and mine in the summer? All of my presents that you would get that were for her and never me? When does it all stop being about her? Because now I have my own wedding planned out and you want me to give it to her! So, when is it going to stop?”
“(Y/N), this really isn’t fair,” Mom pleaded. She wanted to talk about being fair? To me?
The door behind me opened and I tensed as I looked over my shoulder. The last thing I needed was for it to be one of my teammates, all of which I knew could get overprotective fast. But it was just Alessia, and she could get overprotective fast but at least she knew everything that was going on.
“You’re taking too long bringing the pizzas in,” Alessia said as she wiped at the whipped cream that was still on her face. I sighed as she looked up only to freeze when she realized why it was taking me so long. “Not pizzas. Much more understandable why it’s taking so long.”
“Oi, Russo! What’s taking the missus so long?” I groaned because the last thing I wanted to add to this was our team’s card leader. “Oh, I didn’t know we were having others over.”
“Macca, just go back inside,” Alessia said.
“Why? Is everything okay out here?” Katie asked.
I sighed as I pinched the bridge of my nose. While I normally appreciated how quick Katie was to befriend Alessia and protect the blonde striker, I really didn’t want to risk adding her to the dumpster fire of an argument that was about to happen on our porch.
“No, it’s not,” Mom said. My head whipped around as I glared at her. She hesitated as she fidgeted under the glare. “(Y/N) is being selfish and refusing to help family.”
“Oi, come one, (Y/L/N),” Katie said as she nudged me. I only groaned as pretty much the rest of our team had come to see what was happening. “You gotta help out family.”
“No, you both need to leave,” Alessia cut in. Katie’s eyebrows shot up as she glanced at Alessia. This is how I knew that Alessia hadn’t told Katie the full story yet even though they had gotten close to each other. “You both know what it is we want from you, and if you can’t give us that then you need to respect our wishes and leave us alone.”
“No, (Y/N) needs to make a sacrifice for this family because family is important,” Dad said.
“Make a sacrifice? You want me to give up my entire wedding! For a sister who has never cared about me and always been put ahead of me!” I snapped. I didn’t care anymore. I didn’t care who knew the truth. I’d rather people pity me for how I was treated growing up than painted as a villain in front of my friends. “She doesn’t just get to take our wedding because she’s pregnant! Alessia and I have put so much time and effort into making sure our day was going to be perfect for us! We didn’t do it for Eve! We did it for us! If Eve wants to get married so badly before the baby is here, then she can take John to the courthouse and get married and then have a ceremony for everyone to go to later when it won’t be so stressful for her!”
“(Y/N), calm down,” Alessia softly said as she laid a hand on my arm.
“No! I’m tired!” I broke down as I looked at Alessia. My shoulders slumped forward because I knew that Alessia was aware of how I felt, but I had never once vocalized it to anyone. “I won’t play second fiddle to Eve anymore. Not when we are talking about one of the most important days of our lives. The fact that either of you are taking her side is insane! I know you both prefer her over me, but you know that we had to be so careful about the timing of our wedding because we are both professional players and so are all our friends and no one has the same season schedule so we had to be careful to make sure everyone could come! You both know that!”
“They’re calling you selfish because you refuse to give away your wedding?” Caitlin asked.
I didn’t even bother looking at my teammates. I knew that they would be on my side, but there had been that small voice in the back of my head telling me that none of them would actually support Alessia and I and our stance on this.
“Dude, that’s majorly fucked up,” Jen said.
“Language!”
“No! You don’t get to come here and scold my friends!” I said as I rounded on my mom. “I don’t want to see you anymore! You are not invited to the wedding! Dad is not invited to the wedding! Eve is not invited to the wedding! None of you are really my family! If you were none of you would have ever asked me to give up the day I get to celebrate my relationship with Alessia! My real family is the one I’ve gotten to build since I joined the national team in 2015. So don’t call me. Don’t text me. Leave Alessia and I alone because neither of us want you in our lives.”
We all stood in silence for a moment as my parents stared at me. I ignored the tears that were threatening to spill down my mom’s face. And how my dad’s jaw had slacked slightly. Neither of them deserved to be sad or shocked at my reaction, not after how they had treated me for so long.
“It’s time for you both to leave,” Kim spoke up after a moment. I recognized the tone she was using too. I had been on the receiving end of it enough times over the years to know that she was serious. “And for your sakes, I’d stay away.”
“Yeah, mates, come near either of them again and we’ll be the ones setting you straight,” Leah added on.
My parents stared at me for a moment longer before they both were heading down the road. It only took Alessia a second to wrap me up in her arms before she took me back inside.
I knew that we couldn’t avoid explaining everything to our teammates, but I just wanted to enjoy the night playing games and eating pizza with my friends. No, with my family. We could tell them everything tomorrow.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
“You guys didn’t have to come.”
The two women who were sitting across from me both raised a brow. I knew that they both had their own problems to deal with.
“Alessia had to call me and Tobin just to tell me what was going on,” Christen pointed out. Had it been before this previous year, I wouldn’t have hesitated to talk about the problems I had been having to either of the women sitting with me. “You used to tell us everything and lately it seems like you haven’t been sharing anything with us.”
“You both have your own stuff going on. You don’t need my dumpster fire of a family added to that.”
“You are family to us,” Ali said. I only gave a small shrug to that. “Hey, no. The stuff you’re going through is important to us, (Y/N). We want to know what’s going on with you.”
“It isn’t fair that I burden you guys with my drama too. I mean, Christen’s trying to rehab from a fourth surgery, and you’ve been dealing with your family stuff and the whole situation.”
Christen sighed as she reached across the table to grab a hold of my hand.
“Just because we have our own stuff going on doesn’t mean you’re a burden. It’s honestly worse when you don’t tell us what’s going on. Especially since Alessia was the one to call us and tell us that we should come see you cause you were struggling.”
“It’s fine. Just my parents choosing my sister over me again. Nothing I’m not already used to.”
Christen and Ali both looked at each other. They were both well aware of the problems I had with my family considering they frequently ended up stepping up when my own parents couldn’t be bothered to help me.
“Alessia didn’t tell us much. Just said that you should be the one to explain everything to us,“ Christen added.
I only gave them a little shrug. I still hated that all of my Arsenal teammates were aware of the situation. I really didn’t want to drag more people into the depths of it all. Especially since I knew that I would get questions from my national teammates as to why my family wasn’t at the wedding anymore.
“They wanted me to give the wedding to Eve,” I admitted after we had sat in silence for a moment. “I told them no, but they came out to try and convince me again. I snapped at them in front of the team.”
“Do we need to talk to them?”
I shook my head at Ali’s suggestion. I was tired of trying to convince my parents to finally choose me over my sister. If they wouldn’t choose me for the most important day of my life, then I wouldn’t choose them anymore.
“I uninvited them to the wedding.”
“Good.”
I still felt a little guilty about it. But that was mostly because of the number of messages that I was getting from everyone in my family telling me how low it was for me to keep them all from such an important event.
“I did want to ask you two if you would take my parents spots?” Both of the older players across from me froze. “Neither of you have to. “But you both treat me like your kid more than my own parents do.”
Christen and Ali shared another look.
“(Y/N), we’d be honored,” Ali said as she reached out to grab my free hand. “You’re always going to be our kid. You moving overseas and playing for Arsenal never changed that. But if you pull any stunts with Alessia like she-who-shall-not-be-named, I’ll hunt you down myself.”
“I won’t,” I assured Ali. I knew that everything had been really rough for her lately. It had been especially frustrating that I hadn’t had the time to fly out to visit her due to my schedule. “Besides, I’m pretty sure you’d have to fight with every single Lioness and Gunner to get to me first. And you’re already barely holding it together chasing after all the twenty-year-olds in the NWSL.”
Ali rolled her eyes at me. I knew that Ali would make it her mission to get her hands on me first even if she was at the disadvantage of living overseas from me.
“So, what are you wanting us to do in the wedding?”
“I’d love it if you guys would walk me down the aisle. And the dances. Oh, and we’re gonna have a private ceremony where we sign the marriage license. I’d love for you two to be there, and for the wedding pictures.”
“We would love to.”
I softly smiled at that. It really did mean a lot. Alessia and I hadn’t really had much of a chance to talk about any of it yet, but I knew that she was prepared to ask her parents to skip those parts of the ceremony or if they could do the dances privately so that I wouldn’t feel left out.
“The father/daughter dance is to Wildflowers by Tom Petty. And the mother/daughter dance is to Never Grow Up by Taylor Swift,” I told them as I looked between them. “I don’t mind who dances with me for each of them. I would really like to share one of them with each of you.”
“You’ll get a dance with each of us. Promise,” Christen said as she grinned at me.
“Now, do you think Alessia would like it if I asked her to be a godmother for the kids as well?”
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
“You know Ali asked me if I wanted to be a godmother?”
I couldn’t help but grin as the two of us swayed together as we watched where our friends and family were dancing in front of us.
“She might have asked if I thought you would like it.”
“I loved it.”
I gave her a soft hum of acknowledgement. I knew that she would, and I had told Ali as much. Alessia had fallen in love with Sloane and Ocean the first time she met them.
“What did you think about our day?”
“It was perfect,” I assured the blonde striker. I turned to look at her as I pulled her face to look at my own. “Everyone that I wanted to be here was. I got to dance and celebrate with the people who I consider my real family.”
“No regrets about…?” Alessia trailed off.
The two of us had been avoiding any and all talk about my biological family. We had reached out to all of our vendors as well as security to make sure that none of them could ruin our day, but today had gone off without a hitch.
“None. I think it was the first time in a long time that I’ve been happy not to have them around for such a big milestone in my life and I think it’s because it was my choice.”
While Alessia and I hadn’t made much of a mention of my biological family, it didn’t mean that my therapist hadn’t helped me through it. But I was truly at peace with the situation.
“I’m happy to hear that, darling.”
“Besides, I got to marry the love of my life.”
“There’s nothing I would trade to marry you.”
“Not even a World Cup?”
“Not even for a World Cup. Much rather would be known as the wife of (Y/N) Russo rather than have a World Cup.”
“Careful there, Russo, your WAG is showing.”
“Let it. After all, it’s our day. We’ve got everyone we want here. And we’ve got each other for the rest of our lives. Nothing can ruin it for us.”
TW: Mentions of death, suicidal thoughts, yandere themes, angst
(Name)
You know, I always imagined that it would be me who wouldn’t get to come home to you and Lian. That the worst outcome I could have imagined at the time would inevitably happen and I would die to some crook or villain on the job no matter how hard I fought. I feared the day I wouldn’t get to hold the two of you in my arms again, to feel your warmth, to be able to be with my happy little family ever again. That’s where my mind would always go, but I never once considered that it would be either you or Lian that I would end up losing in the end. I wouldn’t let myself be eaten alive by that thought because I would never let that happen. Ever.
But it did. It fucking did and I couldn’t do a damn thing to keep it from happening. I couldn’t save you. I couldn’t do anything as you lay dying in my arms. I felt your warmth slowly leave you. I heard your shallow and labored breaths until they finally stopped. I watched your life fade from your eyes. And I experience it all over again and again every time I close my eyes. No matter how hard I try I will always be reminded of the moment I lost one of the most important things in my life. The reoccurring feeling of helplessness, the hole in my chest, the emptiness that now consumed my entire being; none of it will ever go away. Not even going after the person who killed you could ease any of my anguish. It didn’t take away from the feeling of having my heart ripped out of my chest every time Lian cried out for you, asking where you were and when you would come home again. It didn’t do a damn thing but give me something to take my frustrations and guilt out on, and even that didn’t last long.
I can’t begin to explain how hard it’s been without you, how much I haven’t wanted to continue living without you. If I could I would end it all just to be with you again but I can’t leave Lian behind. I can’t do that to her and I know you wouldn’t want me to. I have to stay for her, make sure she’s taken care of first and foremost, then and only then could I not feel guilty about doing something so selfish.
I know I have to stay strong, especially for my daughter, our daughter. I need to keep going for her. I need to keep fighting for what remains of our little family, but the fight in me is getting weaker and weaker the more time passes. My will is slowly waning to the point of giving way and that selfish part of me just wants it to hurry up, to let it all go and be able to end up where I want to be.
But I have to remind myself it’s not about me, not now. Where I want to be isn’t where I need to be and that has to be my focus. And it will be. I will continue to fight, to live for what’s left of our family. I promise. And when the time is right we’ll be reunited once more, together again but until then please continue to wait for me. And just know that I’ll never stop loving you, my heart will only ever beat for you and Lian. Nothing will change that. No one ever could either.
Always Yours,
Roy
arsenal reader struggles with PTSD and new year’s eve is a particular struggle… but the arsenal girlies are there for her even if she doesn’t know she needs them
warnings: PTSD, anxiety, mentions of violence, mentions of guns, anxiety attacks, mentions of childhood trauma
Tumblr media Tumblr media
You don’t even notice you’re shivering and tearing up under your duvet.
New Year's Eve for most people is a night of celebration, a night of partying, a night of celebrations. For you, not so much.
New year's eve ranks pretty high up on your least favourite days of the year.
Instead of being fun and full of celebrations it was a night of terror and fear.
That’s how you’d gotten under your duvet, the covers of your bed providing a very small shield from the outside world.
It wasn’t a good fix to stop the current downpour of sound around you, you’d tried it all, airpods, earplugs, music, none of it worked.
So you’d settled for clenching your palms down onto your ears, it wasn’t providing any reprieve from the noise cascading around you, but for whatever reason it felt necessary.
This wasn’t even the worst of it, you knew it was only so long until the fireworks started, and as soon as that happened it was almost a guarantee that you would be thrown into a whole different level of stress.
It had been this way since you were a kid, new years eve was a nuisance, a figment of your worst nightmares.
You wished you could go out and celebrate, that you could be normal and be happy.
But ever since your childhood, since it all happened, loud noises and bright flashing lights have always been a big struggle for you.
So, every year, you go through the same routine of hiding under your covers until it’s all over. Normally, the loud noises coming from London strike up a pretty serious anxiety attack, so you don’t bother with hurting your friends with your presence, knowing that all you will be is a burden for them on a night that is supposed to be fun.
It’s fine, you’re used to it, this year though it’s a little bit harder.
With your transfer to Arsenal in the previous January trade period you had quickly found a new family amongst the Gooners.
It was so hard for you to decline the invite to the celebrations for the evening, especially considering that almost every other holiday over the year had been spent with one or a couple of your teammates.
That was the hard part of being the only person left in your family, it was the reason for your stupid fear.
It all simmered down to one stupid night that wrecked your whole life.
Just as you had begun to become completely absorbed with the thoughts in the back of your mind, you were taken out of your trance by a quiet voice and the mattress you were sitting on flexing downwards.
“Hiya honey, you wanna come out for me?”
It’s Beth’s voice, sweet, kind, lovely Beth who definitely should not be in your apartment right now.
It makes you wonder if you are potentially dreaming, sometimes when you get really anxious delirium is a side effect.
“Beth?”
You reach down to pinch your thigh, hard, and it hurts, enough for you to be sure that you aren’t dreaming,
“Yeah hon, I’m right here.”
Her voice is enough for you to pull the covers over your head, the duvet falling into your criss crossed lap.
Beth is perched on the corner of your bed, a smile mixed with concern and care reflecting back towards you.
“What are you doing here?”
Your words are murmured, and spoken downwards towards your lap, because you can’t quite find it in you to look at your older teammate.
“It’s new years, silly, we couldn’t leave you out of the celebrations, the girls that are in town are in the kitchen.”
It’s said so nonchalantly, like this is some organised plan that has been set in stone for weeks, even though this is the first you’re hearing of it.
Suddenly, a firecracker or something goes off somewhere in the distance and your body is jolting on the bed, fresh tears accumulating in the corners of your eyes as your whole face pinches shut whilst the waves of memories wash over your body.
“I thought you guys said you were going to South Bank to do the fireworks and celebrations.”
South Bank isn’t far from your apartment, a couple of blocks south, unfortunately for you, most definitely close enough for the fireworks to be seen and heard.
“Who needs fireworks? We’d rather hang out here with you.”
It makes your jaw clench and your eyebrows furrow, they’ve cancelled their plans to come to your apartment and you aren’t completely sure why.
“Beth, why are you here?”
It’s blunt, but with everything happening and your body in survival mode you don’t have time to beat around the bush, especially with the ticking time bomb which is leading to midnight.
“Less told us that you really struggle with new years, so we’re here for you.”
You know that all of the girls on the team, whether they mention it or not, know about your past, about what happened when you were a child, what led to you moving in with Alessia when you were 14.
Unfortunately for you, she’s spending her break with her parents in New York, so your normal emotional support for nights like these was unable to make it here tonight.
Something doesn’t feel the same about having Beth, and whoever else she’d managed to congregate being here with you, especially when you were significantly vulnerable.
“Beth, I appreciate it, but I don’t want to worry you guys, head down to South Bank, just leave me be. Tonight’s pretty hard for me and I don’t feel like doing much.”
Beth scoots her body up closer to yours, close enough that she can lift her hand up and set it down on your thigh, it doesn’t go unnoticed the way you slightly flinch away from her, the jumpiness running rampant in your body due to the anxiety.
“We’re not going anywhere, we’ve got you, let us take care of you yeah, you don’t have to do anything, at all, just sit on the couch and relax.”
You want to fall directly into Beth, let her give you a big hug and never let go, but there is still a part of you trying to obtain your self dignity.
“Beth, you don’t understand, tonight's really hard for me, and I don’t want you guys to have to deal with it, it’s not exactly something I’m proud of.”
Beth’s hand moves from your thigh, upwards until it’s gently sitting on your jaw, angling your face upwards so you are looking at her.
“Let us be here for you, between myself, Vivi, Leah, Lia, Kim, Laura, Jen, Lotte I’m sure we can all figure out some way to make tonight a little bit easier for you. You don’t have to explain anything, you don’t have to talk about it, we’re just here to show you some love and help you however you need, celebrations be damned.”
It’s hard to refuse when Beth’s kind, concerned and caring eyes are reaching deep into your soul. Tonight is hard, for you it’s like walking up mount everest, and it’s not exactly like you want to break down in front of your teammates but Beth seems pretty persistent about the fact she isn’t leaving.
“After the break in, after my parents and brother were killed, any loud noises resembling guns make me have anxiety attacks, it’s why I don’t like new years.”
Beth just nods and smiles, accepting the information but deciding to let you do the explaining instead of asking questions.
“That’s understandable, anyone in your position would feel the same, I’m sure it must be pretty tough, especially considering that you are still young.”
You bit down on your tongue, nodding to Beth, it is really fucking hard, especially considering that you don’t have anyone to talk about it with, because how could anybody understand.
“It’s why I freaked out a few months ago when you guys were popping balloons after Leah’s birthday party, I can’t help it, it just sometimes comes over me and I can’t control it.”
Beth nods immediately, feeling the guilt roll into her stomach at the memory of her and Katie popping all of the balloons, Beth now recollecting how you left with Alessia almost as soon as it happened.
“Y’know after my mom died it took months for me to be able to go anywhere near a hospital, Viv had to drag me to the doctors for my yearly check up. It’s funny what grief does to us. You want to know what works best for me?”
Beth is trying to find common ground, praying that it’ll work and exceptionally glad when you give her a little nod with your chin.
“I try to distract myself, whether it’s getting Vivi to talk to me or playing a game or watching the telly, helps take my mind off things, how about we try that and see if it’ll work with you, yeah?”
The idea makes you feel a little bit funny, but you are brutally aware of the fact that Beth is trying really hard right now to help you and you really want to be good for her and show her that you can do that.
“Okay, but I need it to be quiet, please.”
Beth just smiles and nods, her layed back demeanour shining through as she stood up from the bed, extending her hand to you.
Your hand is shaking furiously, but you manage to extend it out towards her, letting her own hand steady your as she pulls you up off the bed and gently tugs you towards the door of your bedroom.
To your surprise, when you exit the room the kitchen and loungeroom of your apartment are fairly quiet.
Lia, Kim and Viv are busy in your kitchen, pouring and distributing drinks and plates of pizza. Leah, Laura and Lotte are seated on your couch, a board game of sorts set out on the table, Jen is also joined in on the game, except she’s sitting on the floor directly in front of the table.
Viv, Kim and Lia all send a big smile your way as you slowly enter the room, it’s a spectacle to you, watching the group happily enjoying themselves in your apartment on a night where they could be doing far more than just lazing around.
“Do you want to go sit down on the couch, I know for a fact Leah will be cheating, you could go keep an eye on her, or stay up here in the kitchen with us, it’s up to you.”
The couch sounded nice, and you were aware of the fact that your body was quite tired and worn down from all the stress of the night.
So you cautiously stepped over to the couch, as soon as Leah saw you walking towards her she opened her arms up big and wide for you.
You didn’t second guess it, practically throwing yourself into Leah comfy and warm embrace, her body acting as a cushion to you.
The joint pressure and warmth from the hug did wonders at lifting some of the pressure off of your chest.
“How ya feeling?”
Leah’s voice is soft, whispered directly in your ear so that nobody else hears it besides you.
“I’ve been better, but having you guys here is nice, you don’t know how much I appreciate it.”
Leah just smiled, taking a break from the monopoly game they were playing to look at you.
“It’s nothing, we’re here for you whenever you need us, just trying to make the night easier for you however we can.”
You nod gently, Leah’s arm wrapping around your torso to give you a big hug and essentially bond you to her side.
“The fireworks are the worst for me.”
Leah nods, her eyes are so understanding, there isn’t any form of humour or disgust in them, just pure interest.
“Just watch the game yeah, don’t think about the fireworks, I know it’s hard, but just try. We could put on a show for you, how about the new episode of Love Island?”
It’s a offer that you can’t decline, so Leah gets Jen to chuck her the remote, turning on the tv and flicking it directly onto your favourite show.
You relax into Leah, your body falling limp against her and using her as a pillow whilst you intently watch the tv.
It’s all going fine, or as fine as it can be until you can distantly hear a countdown coming from somewhere outside your apartment.
Almost immediately it sets off alarms inside your body, your legs and torso jolting up from the couch.
Just as you are about to rush off, most likely back under your covers or into your bathroom, Leah’s arms grab a tight hold of you, bringing you flush against her body. In a matter of seconds, Viv, Beth and Kim are all surrounding you, somehow sheltering you from the noise outside.
You feel like a feral dog, thrashing against Leah, trying to get away from her, from your teammates, from the world.
As soon as the noises hit your ears though, you stop moving, both of your palms crushing down against your ears to try and drown out the cracking and popping sounds booming from outside your window.
Leah holds you tight to her chest, even as you begin to sob and the panic begins to overtake your body, every time it happens you feel like you are going to die, like this time it’ll be the last and inevitably you know that your wrong, that unfortunately you will live to see out the next year, but it doesn’t make the whole process easy.
Suddenly your brain is crowded with thoughts, memories, sounds.
The sound of your front door being broken down, nobody hearing but yourself, giving you the opportunity to push yourself out of bed and into one of the cupboards in your wardrobe.
Then the sound of heavy feet, doors creaking, and heavy, thunderous, cacophonous gun shots.
No matter how many times you relive it, no matter how many years go by that sound will never disappear from your mind, it’s unforgettable and haunts every single one of your nightmares.
It’s all consuming, until somebody is taking a hold of your face, and staring at you directly in your eyes.
“Y/n, listen to me, you’re safe, we’re all here for you, we’re in your apartment, safe inside, nobody is here to hurt you or anybody else, you’re at home and it’s safe here.”
Kim’s captain's voice is both soothing and terrifying, the Scottish players' words are strong and coated in directness.
Once she notices that you are hearing her she continues.
“We’re here for you, we’re safe, breathe for me honey, deep breaths, you’re here, not out there, don’t worry about any of that, just look at me and breathe.”
You nod at Kim, even as the tears are streaming down your face and you are struggling to breathe, you listen to her.
“Good job, keep breathing, remember where you are, we’re all safe in here with you, nothing or nobody is going to hurt you, I swear.”
Kim’s words do wonders to help you, and with her assistance, as well as Leah’s strong hold, Laura’s hands gently massaging your scalp, Viv’s strong fingers drawing patterns all over your arms, Lotte gently rubbing the tensed up parts of your calves, Beth holding the parts of you Leah can’t and Lia and Jen both flanking kim, looking at you with the same care and concern as she is looking at you with.
It’s a team effort, but you feel completely enveloped by your teammates love and care as you come down from the panic.
“Doing so well for us y/n, it’s all over now, you;re safe, we’ve got you, we’re not going anywhere.”
You look out to the window, temporarily removing your eyes from Kim’s and realising that your captain is in fact correct, all the noises, lights and pain has stopped, the world is quiet and you couldn’t be more grateful for it.
Slowly, as you become more aware of the world and your surroundings, one by one each girl gently removes themselves from you, until you’re left with just Leah, Beth and Viv, the three stragglers who are tasked with getting some food and water into you before sending you off the bed.
It’s a easy enough job, you’re spent and pliant, so Viv force feeds to a slice of pizza whilst Beth forces you to choke down some kind of electrolyte drink.
Once the two are done doting, they both leave you with a kiss on the forehead and gentle words whispered into your ear about how proud they are of you.
Leah is the one tasked with getting you into bed, and she does just that, getting you tucked properly on the covers before giving you a goodnight forehead kiss.
It feels weird watching her walk towards the door, like your being deserted, and you’ve been needy enough as it is tonight but you can’t help but reach out to Leah.
“Stay till I fall asleep, if it’s no trouble?”
Leah just nods and smiles like you’re asking her for a piece of gum, the blonde moving onto the empty side of your bed and leaving her hand flat against your back.
“You’re no trouble at all honey, we’ve got you, any time but especially on these nights.”
Tumblr media Tumblr media
At the beginning this seemed like an easy fight, take out some petty thugs that were looking to rob a bank and head back home like nothing happened.
"Where the fuck they get that from!?" But life tends to take turns and spoil what promised to be a calm night in Gotham.
The adrenaline rushed through their bodies like fire, burning every single cell and melting their brains into a puddle.
"Poison Ivy." Jason answered nonchalant and with his eyes firmly glued to the road in front of him, his grip on the steering wheel was string enough to leave his knuckles white.
The city passed fast, a mere blur that mixed lights and silhouettes into one before the blown out eyes of the poor vigilantes that got tricked this unfortunate night.
It didn't matter where they looked everything was colliding and pushing them to the limit.
Jason inhaled deeply the humid night air and letting all go in a tired sigh. He could still taste the sickly sweet savor of that damn bomb on his mouth,quite a contrast considering the increasing pain his body was going through.
Thanks to his peripheral vision Jason could see Roy who was barely holding it together and, for some reason, it made him relieved that at least he was doing better than him, at least that's what he wanted to think.
Roy's face was flushed, a pale pink covering those cheeks full of freckles and with the hair sticking to his forehead it made him look sick.
His chest was rising up and down quickly. " How long it has been?" Roy panted, as beads of sweat running down his forehead to get lost on the damped skin underneath his suit.
"I don't know, maybe an hour?"
But even when Jason felt happy that whatever pheromonal cocktail was taking more time to take over his body, he still worried about Roy. What would happen to him if they don't make it?
The last time he heard about an incident like this, people needed to be locked up due to their rather violent and inappropriate take on intercourses.
It was chaotic to think about and difficult too now that he could feel his skin burning and bones screeching in pain.
"So that only means the toxins settled in"
Jason nodded, trying to swallow that bitter taste of uncertainity that invaded his mouth and focus that they were getting closer to his place were they could think about how to deal with this damn situation by themselves. "Yeah."
But as they finally reached the final block till his safehouse, Jason couldn't help but think about you, his sweet girlfriend that was staying there for the week.
Jason bite his lower lip with enough force to draw blood, he hated the fact that you were there. It was dangerous for so many reasons and the only thing he wished right now is that you could go away to somewhere safe and hide until he could pick you up again.
But not only that, Jason also hoped you were wearing one of those old shirt of his you loved so much with nothing underneath.You looked so cute like that that it always makes him want to devour you in kisses and claim you as his over and over again or pehaps eat you out until you beg him to stop.
"Wake up, Jaybird! Roy had his whole body pressed against the car's door, with his chest rising and falling heavily. He was dizzy and yet he reached out to shake Jason off his daydream.
The touch made shiver run down their spine and settled deep into their cores, it was relieving even if it was something so little.
They stayed in silence as the subtle relief was taken over by the stings and pain, and with a sharp screech of the wheels, Jason parked in front of the safehouse.
Roy qas the first one to get out of the car and crawl out to the cold night, sweat beads covered his forehead and made the hair stick to it, his cheeks were blushed making his freckles even more noticeable. "You look like shit," he huffed when trying to help Jason stand on his feet.
The blue eyes of his friend meet his green ones and then they went down to Jason's lips, he was talking, maybe saying something like they should hurry up.
"ARSENAL!" Jason screamed, doing his best to not wince in pain." We need to get going."
"Y-yes, you right."
-
Was it the way they were so close? , maybe the fact that his dear pal was holding him with so much care that made Jason's inside to twitch with the same intensity they did when you acted the same towards him?
Those questions were eating up his drugged brain as if everything weren't confusing enough for him to want to vomit.
This night was a mistake, they should've called for backup or made a deal with Poison Ivy herself in order to prevent this madness. It made Jason's blood boil to admit his defeat.
"We're here," Jason heard Roy's raspy voice announce jusy before he dropped him right beside the door. He was between the wall and the redhead who was still holding his weight by using his leg and arms as he looked for the best place to leave him.
Jason breathed slowly, intoxicated by the smell of Roy, a mix of sweat and sickly sweet love hex." Hey," he called weekly," let me go, I need to find the antidote."
Roy nodded albeit his doubts." Okay," that's all he said, but didn't move as he realized how close their were.
Their gaze were set on the other, lips part away as the world slowed down and made the pain fade away and be replaced by a need to take it all out by using each other.
A shaky hand came to rest on Jason's face, he closed his eyes shut, unsure of what's to come and yet accepting the kiss that made his cock twitch with eagerness.
An innocent kiss turned in something more and before they knew it curious hands were roaming each other bodies and taking off clothes in their way.
"This is wrong," Jason said with a breathy moan, unable to stop his hips from grinding against Roy's crotch." (Y/n)…my-my, ah!, my girlfriend is here."
"What?" Roy panted as he battled to take Jason's pants off, but since he was unable to he just decided to stroke him over the fabric. "I don't know if it's safe for her to be here right know."
"I know." Jason sighed in Roy's neck before taking the duty to form a hickey in that sweet spot that made him mewl.
It took a few second before a call that left them both cold." Jason!" The words were stern with tint of hurt and utterly confusion hiding underneath. "What the hell are you doing?"
"Fuck," was the only thing Jason murmured, pressing his head on Roy's shoulder before he pushed him away and revealed himself to you.
The sight made you gasp, taking a few steps back as your eyes scanned up and down your boyfriend. The top part of his suit was gone and even in the dim light of the living room you could notice the tent going on inside his pants.
You opened and closed your mouth a few times unsure of what to say, tears were starting to prick your eyes as you were ready to pack your things and leave." No, no,no" Jason hurried to your side to trap you in his arms and sooth you once he realized that you were about to cry.
Jason peppered your face in kisses as he kept apologizing, ignoring your complains and resistance. "Let me go, Jason." You demanded, trying to push him away to no avail since Jason's grip on you was strong enough to keep you in place.
Hearing you say his name was delightful. "Baby please," and there was the electricity again running through his body and making the knot in his stomach to tighten.
"Don't baby me!" you kicked and his grip tightened around you." Let me go, Jason!"
"I can't" his stubburness made you scream.It pained him to see you like this so distresses and hurt and knowing that he caused all of this will sureley kill him after eveything is done, but it feels so good having you in his arms, sure you're kicking and tossing but if he keeps you close enough he can put all that friction in the place he needed the most.
It was sickening to take advantge of your pain like this, but Jason needed it more than anything.
"How could you?" You sobbed after a while fighting Jason, you sounded tired, defeated and he was attacking your neck with kisses, sucking and nibbling on the tender skin as if you didn't spent the last minutes trying to get him off of you.
"I know this looks bad, but I'll explain everything later. I promise." Jason pushed away lightly from you, making sure to not left you room to run away by grabbing your jaw and forcing you to look at him." But I need your help, we both need it."
and then you felt it: a warm touch on your waist. It made you hold your breath as Roy's fingers sunk in the soft skin covered by a thin t-shirt.
Your heart was beating so hard that it might explode at any second," I wish we could've done this in other way, but we need you." Roy said as he licked your earlobe. You could only whimper in response, lookin up at Jason with pleading eyes.
A knot was caught up in your throat as you did your best to keep yourself firm and say no, Jason wasn't having none of it.
He pushed your legs apart by putting his own in the middle, making you sink in it as grind on you."You know we'd never hurt you,"
Fog was starting to clog your brain as the world started to spin. Jason's words were a mere whisper at this point now that they both were grinding on you.
"please stop" your panties were wet by all the attention you were getting, it was overwhelming.
Your whole body was set on fire and the only way you could save yourself the pain of need crawling into your core was to give in to your captors desire, much to your own dismay.
It was wrong, you were mad at them both for betraying your trust, for using you as a toy. But why did you nod when Jason asked you to be a good girl for them again?
You didn't remember a 'yes' leaving your mouth nor nodding, everything was confusing, but now that you were being pushed down at Roy's hips level the only thing you could do was cry.
"Shhh baby everything is gonna be okay, right Jaybird?" Roy's big hand was stroking your head, you sniffled, not daring to open up your eyes.
The sound of pants unzipping made you shiver, was it excitement or fear? Perhaps a sickening mix of both that made you freeze in the spot.
"Yes, now open up and show Roy how good you are, doll," you were met by Roy's hard cock poking your face, the tip was a furious pink and leaking with pre-cum that Jason forced you to lick.
Trembling hands grabbed his dick, unsure what to do next" ahhh," a groan of pure relief left Roy's lips once you started to bob your head up and down the shaft, even though you were doing it clumsily.
He didn't care, as long as he could fuck something and get the pollen out of his system everything was more than valid on his book.
"You seem to be enjoying yourself," Jason said as he keep pushing your head forward, his gaze burnt with pure, raw lust at the sight in front of him.
He always has been someone rather close when it came to relationships, not daring to share his partner with anyone else but him.
He was greedy and yet he was jacking off to the sight of his pretty princess giving a blowjob to his best friend.
How sinful, how infuriating…he wanted a feel too, to make the pain go away and fuck all night."I am," Roy had his head bent with a sly smirk that could make the most holy man blush.
This was his fault, no, you both were the cause of Jason's hormones to be at the edge right now. The cockiness and innocence mixed together and pumping full of lust that he had to get rid off.
"That's good." You gagged as the little space tou had to do your chore was cut by the eagerness of a kiss shared between your boyfriend and his friend.
You looked up between teary eyes and drool running down your chin how immersed they both were, and it was then how you noticed that the grip they had on you was gone, but even then Roy was fucking your mouth in such way that it was clear you were something like a fleshlight to him.
His moans were drowned in Jason's lips, "fuck yes!" Roy cried in bliss as his warm cum fell down from the tip to your tongue and then drooled down to your chin.
"What's wrong, baby?" Roy cooed in a breathy sight once he dared to look down at you, happy to see how messy you looked underneath them. "You okay?"
Thanks to that Jason looked down too,"You want some attention too, princess?" there was something similar they both shared beyond the plumped lips and the pity in their voices.
They were looking you like prey with their blown out pupils and a appetite for more." Maybe that's why she's been acting so feisty."
Their eyes locked together and you could almost see the light bulbs turning on on top of their head as a mischievous idea appeared.
"(Y/n)?"
"Yeah?" You sniffled not daring to get your eyes off of the ground, it seemed that your obedience was appealing to them.
Those puffy red eyes and pouty lips were irresistible" Go lay down." Jason kissed your forehead, the only tender gesture you've received so far.
Walking towards the bed had you paranoid, not because it was too far, the bed was a few steps away from you as it lied in the middle of the living room next to the table were Jason cleaned all his guns.
It was because you could feel their eyes burning in your back with all the pent up expectations they've set on you.
"Good girl," Jason followed you quickly, sitting in front of you and putting his hands on top of your trembling knees." Now spread those legs for me."
"Jason-"
"Shhhh it's okay, I'm not going to hurt you." He kissed your knee with a chaste kiss before he pulled them apart himself. Jason kissed and nibbled at the skin of your inner thighs." I just want you to make you feel good, just like you did Roy. Is that so bad?"
Any word you could've said died in your lips due the feeling of your panties getting pushed aside in order for Jason to be able to play with your slick, paying attention to your clit for a while before putting his mouth to work.
His pace was agonizingly slow and steady, you knew Jason was a tease thanks to all the times you've been together. He liked to put you on edge until you're begging for your release.
"Oh look at her! She's trying hard to not moan." Roy held you from behind; he chuckled at the sight, ruffling your hair as he said." Maybe you like this more than you want to admit, princess. It's okay, not everyone is vocal."
Jason's laugh send vibrations to your core, "Get your ass here and return the favor, Roy." and with that Jason.
The loss of contact made you whimper, why did it hurt to not be touched even though you've been desiring this in the first place? Apparently you weren't the only one who seemed to be in agony.
"On your hands and knees." The hunger was back and it was taking every fiber of Jason to not put you in position himself. It was game: how long can Jason last without losing control?
Putting aside the rather faul situation he and Roy got themselves into, he would like to think he has done far better than what this damn poison could allow him to.
His hand spanked your ass hard enough to make you wail, Jason grabbed a handful of it."Nice, now I want you to eat her out as I fuck her, okay?"
"What?," Roy bickered." I want a feel too, Jason."
"Really?" Jason teased your entrance with his cock, rubbing the head up and down as he didn't moved his gaze from Roy." I've been rather sharing tonight, but I don't want you to forget that she's my girlfriend so I get to fuck her first."
A sharp moan was heard all over the room as Jason thrust into you with a cocky grin to prove Roy is point.
"You're a bitch, Todd."
"You're going to make me cry." Jason without stopping fucking your pussy, his grip on your hips was so strong you were sure it'd leave bruises.
Roy rolled his eyes but still got in his knees to try his best to suck on your clit despite Jason's balls were hitting it.
He sucked with eagerness and without a care to get all messy, Roy's only purpose right now was to serve you both.
"Oh my-" you whimpered as you grabbed the sheets in dear life. You felt full with Jason fucking you and now the sloppy feeling of Roy sucking on your throbbing clit was sending you over the edge.
And when you thought you might get to cum the contact was lost." Who's the bitch now?" You heard Jason snicker with one of his cocky smiles.
Beneath you there was Roy with a mouthful of Jason's sloppy cock, the redhead had to take a while to not gag at the sudden chance, a break cut short by Jason picking up the pace and start fucking his mouth.
Jason grunted, reaching clumsily your breats to play with them as he kept going. Sure it was less satisfying than having him fucking your neglected cunt, but it was something.
As for Roy he seemed to be invested in it, beating his own dick as he sucked his friend's cock like his life dependent on it.
"Wait, wait a moment," Jason panted," I want to finish inside of her."
"I-I'm not on the pill," you warned, turning ado to see Jason's hungry eyes looking back at you. A hin of excitement arose deep inside your abused core." Jason I-"
"We'll resolve that later." After a whine from Roy, Jason didn't wasted time to pick up where he left and put you over the edge again.
He was merciless, only focusing to get himself off and nothing else. Something quite different from the Jason you know, another thing to add in the long list of oddities this night has brought you.
"Fuck!" Jason groaned, grabbing your hair to pull you closer to him and thrust deeper. He was on cloud nine with a face contorted in pleasure and a melody of moans leaving him.
The pain of Poison Ivy's little hex might hurt like bitch, but God he would be lying if didn't admit how good was to fuck when you were high on it.
Waves of pleasure crashed over Jason again and again until he couldn't hold it anymore and let his cum spill deep inside of you with a moan.
Jason was happy, still riding the high as he lied on the bed and pulled your sweaty body on top of him." You were so good to us, princess ," he praised you with a little smile before kissing your forehead.
"Hey Roy!" Jason called, receiving a groan from the redhead who was lying lip at his feet." You wanna taste my cum?"
"What kind of question is that, Todd? Geez, i know we've been acting crazy tonight but-"
"Yes or no."
"Maybe." Roy mumbled with his eyes glued to that fan running slowly on the ceiling, his cheeks were blushed.
"Come here and clean this mess then," Jason patted you thigh and was content with watching Roy crawl to you and get ready to work.
It didn't mattered the protests nor the praise and reassure they both gave you to calm down your nerves, the night was still young and they still were infected.
You had to be up in a few hours for an early morning training session, but here you are on your phone scrolling through the endless rabbit hole of nasty Comments directed towards your appearance, especially your body.
You had only just come back from an ACL injury that had you out from playing and the public eye for nearly a year, and in that year, you had been working hard to regain your strength making your body stockier than you use to be, and people had noticed.
“She looks like a man.”
“that’s not attractive.”
“She looked better before.”
Your eyes started to sting, a few tears slipping out of them. You turned your phone off and turned around, you tried to stifle your sobs not wanting to wake up Beth and Viv who were sleeping in the room next door.
You had been living with Viv ever since you joined arsenal at 16 as she was your national teammate, so it was only reasonable, Viv and Beth had both taken you under their wing becoming a mother figure to you. Now at 19
You took a deep breath and squeezed your eyes shut holding the teddy bear that Katie had giving you for a birthday present, tears were still streaming down your face when sleep found you pulling you into a deep sleep.
Your blaring alarm startled you awake, you looked towards clock feeling as though you had only just shut your eyes.
7:30am
You groaned, you had to be at training in an hour. Waddling your way to the bathroom, you could hear Beth and Viv both talking down the hall; more than likely in the kitchen making coffee and breakfast for all of you. When you reached the bathroom and took a look in the mirror you froze taking in your appearance, your eyes were puffy and red, swollen face and hair disheveled.
“Liefde” Viv's voice echoed through the house “do you want to have breakfast here or at the training ground? I’ve made pancakes for Beth and I if you want some?” you heard her gently knock the door. Panicked, you quickly splashed cold water on your face and patted down your hair, hoping you didn’t look too much of a mess as you did be for.
You heard her knock again.
“Are you okay sweets?” it was Beths voice speaking now.
“yeah” you took a deep breath, opening the door, they both looked at you, taking in your disheveled form, looking at each other with a concerned look.
“Are you sure Liefde? You look like you’ve been crying’’ it was Viv that spoke this time, her hand reaching out to touch your face. You moved away frowning.
“I'm fine I was just watching some sad videos last night” you brushed both the girls off, giving the two women a half-asked excuse. You heard Beth laugh under her breath, putting her arm on your shoulder.
“Now why would you do that to yourself love” she laughed while patting your back, both girls seeming to believe your lie. “Now how are you feeling about pancakes?” the older women asked whilst dragging you and Viv to the kitchen. You stomach turned and you pulled your hand back shaking your head.
“I'm alright thanks, I think I'm just gonna have breakfast when we get there” you said whilst slowly making your way back into your room to get ready for training.
-
The car ride to training was fast and you quickly got your training gear out of the car before thanking the two older women and heading for the change rooms. Viv and Beth watch you walk away from them with worried looks on their faces.
“I'm worried about her” Beth turned her head towards Viv.
“I know, so am I” Viv spoke while putting a comforting hand on her girlfriends should, the two heading into the training facility.
-
When you got in the change room, only a few girls where in there, Steph, Manu and Katie. You quickly said hello before rushing towards the showers, not wanting to change in front of them.  You had been changing in the showers for the past few weeks, knowing that if you changed in front of everyone that they'd see how much weight you’ve lost in a short amount of time, and you’d be caught. You waited in the showers until you heard the girls leave for breakfast. You let out a shaky breath that you hadn't realized Youd been holding and sild out of the change rooms and making a bee line for the gym; wanting to get in some extra exercise before practice started. You knew everyone would be at breakfast, so you weren't fussed with anyone catching you. What you hadn't anticipated though, was for your skipper Leah to be in the gym as well. you would never admit it out loud, but Leah intimated you. She was a good captain, hardworking and stern, she always tells it how it is and wasn’t afraid to call someone out when they were acting out or not putting in the effort.
As soon as you entered, she turned to look at you, eyes scrunching in confusion. You mumbled a quick apology and went to leave when she spoke up.
“You alright y/n? why aren't you at breakfast?” she was walking towards you.
“I'm sorry I didn’t realize anyone one was in here, I just wanted to get some extra time in before training” you said rather quickly, eyes looking anywhere but at her.
“Why would you need to do that when we already have an hour gym session today?” her eyebrows still furrowed “you didn’t tell me why you aren't at breakfast” her tone was stern and unwavering as she kept her hard gaze on you.
“I ate breakfast at home” you told her “Viv made pancakes” she looked you up and down almost scanning your body before her gaze turned back to your face her eyebrow rising slightly as if telling you she didn’t really believe you. She looked away as you gulped. That was another thing about Leah, she always seemed to know when you were lying to her, and right now didn’t seem to be an exception.
“Right well trainings about to start anyway” she said while turning your body in the direction of the door “lets head out to the field” she pushed you forward, a silent way to tell you to lead the way. You rolled your eyes and shook your head, speeding up your movement so you didn’t have to walk with her.
As training progressed you could feel your body getting tired, you hadn't eaten anything this morning and thrown up your dinner from last night. You knew it was bad, but you couldn’t stop…it was an addicting feeling.
By the time lunch time had rolled around and training was finished for the day, you were absolutely exhausted and wanted nothing more than to go home and curl up in your bed and sleep. Your body was sore, and You hobbled slowly towards the changing room, your breathing was uneven, and your head was pounding.
You were the last to make it to the changing rooms, you could her Alessia and Katie making dinner plans for tonight and was asking people if they'd be able to make it. You mentally rolled your eyes as Beth excitedly said that you three would be attending.
“Hey, you alright mate?” you groaned at the question, having heard it one to many times that day for your liking. You turned to see Caitlyn behind you.
“Yes, I'm fine” you huffed out, slowly growing agitated.
“Are you sur- “you cut her off before she could finish.
“Yes, I'm fine! I’ve already said it about a thousand times” you huffed grabbing your stuff and storming out of the room, not even bothering to change, leaving behind shocked Caitlin and confused teammates.
“I’ll go talk to her” Beth muttered after a few minutes of awkward silence. She grabbed her training kit, as did Viv, and walked out of the room. They looked in countless empty rooms before heading to the car park where they found you waiting by the car scrolling on your phone once again, they had noticed you had been doing that a lot recently.
As soon as you heard the car door click, you jumped inside, not wanting to have the conversation you knew was about to take place. Both Beth and Viv entered soon after having a short conversation outside. No one said anything throughout the drive home, the two women sharing glances with each other every now and then while you opted to stay on your phone, scrolling through your Instagram comments.
When the three of you got home you headed straight for your room, closing the door behind you. Both the women sighed as they watched you. They had both noticed a change in you, they had noticed how you went straight to the bathroom after dinner, telling them you needed to “shower”, they had believed you at first until Beth had overheard you vomit in the bathroom 2 nights in a row. They had noticed that you weren't eating the snacks you love anymore or that you weren't eating breakfast in the mornings with them anymore, they had also noticed the mass amount of weight you had lost in such a little span of time. Of course, they had noticed it, practically the whole team had noticed it, with some voice their worries for you every now and then.
“She needs help” Beth stated as she stared at your bedroom door.
“Yeah…I know.”
Confusion (Leah Williamson x Reader)
Loved this request but I kind of struggled writing it. Definitely not my best work but I got it completed. Request can be found here. 2.4k words x
Tumblr media
It’s weird how one single comment can make you question everything in life.
How one single question made Leah wonder if she’d read the signals wrong all this time.
You were all enjoying your night. A games night planned for weeks before the Champions League games against Wolfsburg, a night meant to be fun and light-hearted before you concentrated on final few games of the season.
You and Leah were cuddled up on one of Katie’s sofas, the two of you having teamed up for the game of trivial pursuit. However whilst everyone else was concentrated on the game the two of you were in your own little world, a glass of wine shared between the two of you as well as frequent whispers and giggles as you both stayed on the tipsy side of drunk. Though on days like today you were teased endlessly for it, it was clear as day to all your teammates how in love you both were.
Having ditched the quiz game the group then moved on to a set of ‘who’s most likely’ questions Beth had found on her phone. It was all going well, the questions stayed light and no-one was offended, up until now.
“Who’s most likely to have the most kids?” Beth read out.
“Y/N.” You were slightly bombarded with the flood of responses of your name. Though the odd other name was thrown out, over 75% of the group said your name, including, all though in her head, Leah.
So it couldn’t have shocked her more when you scoffed. “You’ve got that wrong.”
“What do you only want one?” Jen questioned. “Two?”
“More like none.”
“You don’t want kids?” Manu asked.
“Not really. I’ve never really seen myself having kids. I’m happy with Ted.” You said referring to the cockapoo you had recently adopted with Leah.
If you hadn’t have been distracted by the next question maybe you would have noticed the way Leah frowned at your answer. Maybe you would have noticed the way her arm slightly loosened around you, the way she couldn’t bare to look your way. The pure confusion she felt in her mind.
Sadly for her though it seemed that Beth was out to drop as many bombshells as possible. “Who’s the most likely to get married first.”
“Leah and Y/N.” It was clear you were within the top two answers with a few others suggesting Katie and Manu. The spluttering of your name made you nervous and you genuinely didn’t expect to even be suggested for that one, I mean the two of you weren’t even engaged.
All of this just made you uncomfortable, you’d never really thought about any of these next steps when both you and Leah were in the peak of your career. The business end of the season was coming and then the both of you would only have a few weeks alone together before you were back in your separate national team camps. It didn’t seem like something either one of you needed right now. You were happier than ever just how it was right now.
“Can I be a bridesmaid?” Beth asked wrapping her arm around you.
“I’m not getting married so sadly that won’t happen.”
“What do you mean?”
“I mean I just don’t think it’s important. I don’t yeah, I just don’t think about it.”
These thoughts swirling around your head distracted you from noticing Leah’s withdrawal from you. From the way she detached herself from you to grab some drinks to the space separating you once she returned.
You didn’t notice something was fully wrong until you got in the uber on the way home. It wasn’t exactly uncommon for Leah to get a bit handsy after a few drinks but tonight she couldn’t seem to even look at you.
“What’s wrong?” You whispered, gently kissing her shoulder, an action which was greeted by her shrugging you off immediately. “Leah?”
“I think I’m going to go back to my mum’s tonight.”
“What why? It’s late Leah,” You tried to reason but she still wouldn’t even look at you. “I can see something’s upset you.”
“It’s nothing, leave it alone.”
“Leah.”
“Leave it, I’m fine I just want to spend the night with my mum, she wanted to see me.” She lied, trying to force a pained smile on her face.
“If you’re sure?”
“I’m sure.” She agreed, seeing your shared apartment building coming into view but not budging from her seat. “I’ll see you tomorrow.”
“I love you.” You couldn’t let her leave obviously upset without saying something. “I’ll see you tomorrow.”
“I love you too.”
……
Whist you struggled to get to sleep that night, the soft snores from Ted the only sound in the room as you tried to work out what had happened. You had both been fine most of the night and then suddenly she was upset and didn’t want to speak to you.
You tried not to panic but this was very unusual for you both. The two of you were very level headed and after being together for five years you were both very stable in your relationship, you couldn’t imagine life without her now. You’d moved in with each other three years ago and made the next big step in adopting Ted just over six months ago.
“What’s going on with your mama hey?” You whispered mindlessly raking your fingers through his fur. “We love her though don’t we, she’s just silly.”
Meanwhile only a few miles away the very said woman was curled up in her mother’s bed, a mug of hot chocolate in her lap as her mum tried to calm down her sobs.
“I can’t do anything if you don’t tell me what’s wrong.” Amanda whispered, letting her daughter curl up against her. “Why don’t you tell me from the start?”
“We were playing this game and then someone mentioned children, suddenly Y/N just came out and said she didn’t want children.” Leah explained. “We’ve never had the conversation but I just always presumed she wanted them. She’s so good with kids mum, you’ve seen her with babies and children. I just always saw them with us eventually, in the future.”
“Have you talked to her about this?”
“I was going to but then someone mentioned marriage and she just freaked out almost, she didn’t say a word but you could just see on her face she didn’t agree. She almost looked, I don’t know disgusted. Then Beth asked her and she said it wasn’t important, like she doesn’t want to get married. Mum I’ve got the ring and she’s saying things like that.”
“She might not have meant it that way.”
“I just feel like I don’t even know her anymore, I thought I knew everything about her but it turns out I don’t know anything at all, not the important bits anyway. I want to marry the girl and she probably doesn’t even want that now.”
“Leah you’ve been with her for five years, talk to her. Don’t let these thoughts go around your head when it could all be for nothing.” Amanda reasoned. “Sleep here tonight and then go home tomorrow and talk to her. She loves you Leah, more than I’ve ever seen anyone before. Don’t let this ruin it without knowing everything.”
Before tossing and turning trying to get to sleep she glanced down at her phone, a picture of the two of you in front of the Eiffel tower brightening the room, a massive smile on both of your faces as you looked at one another rather than the camera.
Maybe you weren’t as happy as you looked in that moment and that scared her more than anything ever had. You were her world and she could only hope that you were too.
……
You managed to get a few hours of light sleep, waking up every couple of hours almost in hope that you could find Leah next to you. By the next morning though the place next to you was still untouched and the bed felt cold without her. Your mind couldn’t help but worry about whether your relationship was at risk right now even as you tried everything to distract yourself. By 11 you’d already taken Ted on a walk, cleaned the whole apartment and got started on your tea for tonight. You’d messaged Leah to wish her good morning and telling her to ring you but you were yet to get a reply.
The eerie silence in the apartment though meant you were instantly on edge when you heard the door go just before you were about to start on lunch.
“Hey.” You whispered when the blonde came into view, the bags under her eyes a tell-tale sign that she hadn’t got much more sleep than you. “Why don’t you go and sit down, I’ll make us both a tea.”
“Y/N….”
“Tea first.” You ordered, a teasing smile on your face to try and break the awkward silence. Leah thankfully agreed and went into the living room giving you enough time to give yourself a pep talk, Leah was your world and no matter what the issue is you would do your utmost to resolve it. You couldn’t stall this conversation any longer though and once the kettle had boiled and you quickly made up the teas you made your way over, finding her on the sofa. “I can’t help if you don’t tell me what’s wrong.”
“It’s funny my mum said the same thing last night.”
“What can I say, good minds think alike.” You tried to joke but you didn’t even manage to get a smile out of her. “Leah, tell me.”
“You never told me you didn’t want kids.” She came out with and you almost wanted to sigh realising what all this was about.
“That’s what this is about?”
“And you never said you didn’t want to get married.”
“Leah we’ve never had those conversations, did you want me to make it clear on the first date.”
“Don’t joke.” Maybe you made a mistake in trying to lighten the mood when you saw the tears starting to build up.
“Leah.” You tried to comfort her, moving to grab her hand but she moved it before you could. “Can I explain?”
“There’s not much to explain is there, you don’t want kids, I do. You don’t want to get married, I do.”
“You never told me that either.”
“I thought it was obvious, then again I thought you wanted kids. Y/N you’re always around kids.”
“I’m around kids because I have to be. Maybe it came out wrong last night, it’s not that I don’t want kids ever but right now I don’t and that means that right now I can’t see myself being a mother. That’s what I meant. My mum had me very young and they were always busy, they never had time for me. I’ve seen the difference with my sister and I want that.” You explained. “I want to be there for every moment and we couldn’t truly do that right now. We’re both footballers, we’re sometimes away three times a week. I don’t want that for any potential child.”
“Y/N….” Leah could her almost the pain in your voice and it made her want to cry at the anguish you must have felt at being labelled that in the game.
“I just don’t understand why you didn’t talk to me about this.”
“I was going to and then they started talking about marriage.” You could read Leah like a book and you knew from her face that this was the real problem for her by her reaction.
“I didn’t know it was that big of an issue for you. We’ve never really talked about getting married.”
“Obviously because it isn’t important to you.”
“Can you understand that for me though? For me it’s not important, I’ve watched so many people get divorced and it’s almost lost that specialness. Plus I grew up thinking I wouldn’t be able to get married to another woman. Leah I want to be with you for the rest of my life, I don’t need some wedding certificate to allow that to happen.”
“What if I wanted to get married?”
“Then we’ll talk about it. I’m not against marriage, really I’m not. I just see it as more of a celebration of love rather than this like long term commitment because I already am committed to you. Please know that.” You told her, making the move to wrap your arms around her and thankfully she responded by resting her head on your chest. “I love you so much and I think last night maybe it seemed like I was scared of commitments or making those next steps with you but I’m not. I know I want to be with you forever and if those steps come then I’ll be more than happy to experience them all with you.”
“I just feel like it would mean more to me than to you.”
“Leah you don’t know how honoured I would be to be your wife, to show everyone how much I love you. I just want you to know, I don’t know who’s going to propose, but if you want to, marry me because you love me so much, marry me because you want to celebrate our love. It’s a commitment but know that to me it means more than that, it’s about our love. I don’t know if I’m making sense right now but hopefully you get me.” You leaned your head down to connect your lips with Leah’s. “Please just speak to me next time because we’re a team now.”
“I’m sorry.” She apologised.
“We’re good now, don’t worry and I’m sorry for upsetting you.” You apologised too. “I never meant for it to be that way.”
“I understand you now but I know I couldn’t love you more than I love you now. I adore everything about you Y/N and I can’t wait for the future with you, whatever it holds.”
“I love you more.”
