Zaunites have that swagger...

It’s so much fun to rewatch the series and note the way every Undercity character conveys effortless confidence/cool-factor simply through how they move.

They don’t walk so much as strut.

In Piltover, most of the characters move at a leisurely stroll, oozing a calm complacence that goes hand-in-hand with privilege. They know they’re right where they belong; safe in their gilded bubble.

Zaunites on the other hand, are accustomed to fighting tooth and claw for every scrap of space. It’s conveyed so beautifully through how each character owns their surroundings.

Vi:

- leads with squared shoulders and a set jaw. an unflinching fire in the eyes; mess around and you’ll get burned -

Sevika:

- a well-oiled machine with a spark of malice in the smile and a touch of brimstone in the bones. this dragon lady means business -

Ekko:

- a self-made man's swagger. he’s got places to be and keeps time to his own rhythm -

Viktor:

- a skewed walk paired with a spine of stainless steel. if he can’t find a way, he’ll make one -

Jinx:

- sleek as a phantom. a thing of shadows and nightmares. this is her realm, and you are simply a plaything -

Silco:

- a slithering prowl. A shark in the water; a predator in his element. a torturous end of the line for you -

Arcane Crow Theory (& More)

(I derail a little lmao)

Is it me, or does the crow in the scene "Score to Settle" kinda makes me think in that moment, for Jinx it was Vi (I know, a stretch, but please hear me out).

Jinx looks at the scores, most of the the ones up on the leaderboard being "Vi" "Vi" "Vi", and then this crow pops up. Which are said to have strong senses of community, protective behavior toward their young, loyalty, but also are symbols of death.

As Jinx said, she was created by Vi. Powder fell down a well, she died and was reborn as "Jinx". A whole identity based around her betrayal, and maybe even the person who betrayed her. The omen of her death.

(she copped that hairstyle too lol i'm actually sobbing)

It's important to note that crows are predators. And Powder, similar to Silco, didn't start off as a predator. They were the "weak" ones not naturally gifted with fighting force in them. Like prey.

And, in a way Jinx became the crow. In the image of Vi, her creator, the death that killed Powder and made her reborn as Jinx. Similar to how Silco became an image of fear and respect, similar to Vander who wasn't messed with by anyone, even Sevika at one point.

(idk what is it w their sharp bangs, but it looks kinda like the crow beak)

And the crow just looks right at her. In her eyes. Watching, maybe judging (which Vi always did, observing and making decisions of judgement to keep the team safe). And she has a fondness for Vi still of course, she smiles. But then kills it, like it killed her. Because in that scene she's there to settle a score. Her score with Vi, who is top of the leaderboard.

And in the end, she can't catch up. She isn't perfect and talented like Vi naturally was in her and many others' eyes. Always second place. Just like Vi deemed her, a Jinx. And it's frustrating. Working so hard to fall behind "perfection" again.

It's also coincidental how Jinx's chair at the end is written in a certain color. Violet. A combination of blue and pink when together.

I think in a sort of sense, because Silco and Jinx are so similar, they both became an reflection of their betrayal. Something to be feared, knowing how it was to be fearful, becoming something capable of coming out on top. Fighting fire with fire. Violence with violence.

So in a way, they both are mirrors of the crow. They became it, personified it, a protective and loyal predator---an omen of death. Vander and Vi, who made Silco who he is and Jinx. Who "killed" them, and allowed them to be reborn anew.

that concludes my theory/interpretation thingy ✌️ it's all purely an analysis, for fun! :)

Arcane characters x !plus size reader

Jinx-

Two words, No boundaries. She does not care if you are in the bathroom taking a shower she will walk in.

You have just gotten lucky every-time because she hasn’t seen you naked. Yet.

But today your luck went out the door, you were in your bedroom of YOUR house

You had to change your shirt because some dick of a man poured his drink on you for telling him off, you didn’t want to start anymore drama so you just went home

Jinx heard what happened and wanted to see how you were

Just as soon as you slipped your shirt off, jinx walked in. She stopped as soon as she seen you

You didn’t know if that was good or bad

She started skipping towards you “oh wowza!, who new you had boobs under all those baggy clothes” she joked

You playfully rolled your eyes “okay haha, now can I get dressed?” You questioned “not without me watching foxy” she smirked

You weren’t going to argue with her because you knew she was gonna get her way, and she’s too cute to say no too

“Fine, but only this one time” you stated

“Pftt, you wish” she joked, she actually watched you the whole time you put back on your shirt, because she thought you were sexy and she couldn’t take her eyes off your body

Don’t ever try to cover yourself up around her because she won’t like it, she loves your tummy and every curve, roll, you have

Vi-

She really didn’t mean too, although she doesn’t regret it

It was the first time she fully seen you with a bra, considering she has walked in on you in one but never got the full picture

“Oh shit sorry sorry” she says frantically turning to face to door

You didn’t hear her walk in, and it’s sacred the shit out of you when you heard her yell

“Oh god, I’m sorry you had to see that” you said pulling back on your shirt “what do you mean that? Why do you sound so insulting to yourself”

“Because it wasn’t a pretty view” you exclaimed

“Well I thought it was a pretty view..not in weird way…but in a weird way” she reassured

You let out a small laugh “good to know someone thinks that” you sit down on you bed and vi sits next you

“You know I’d definitely walk in many more times if I new you were without a shirt on cupcake” she said looking at you straight in the eyes, you swallowed hard

She showed you how beautiful you were by kissing you everywhere she could and whispering sweet nothings to you

She made you feel loved every-time she seen you without a shirt or any clothes at that

Catliyn-

She thought she heard you fall so she rushed into your room to make sure you were okay

“Oh no! Sorry y/n I thought you feel and I just wanted to make sure you were okay I didn’t know that your were-”

“Catilyn! Hey! It’s okay I’m okay” you cute her off and reassured her that it was okay

“Okay okay, good I just didn’t want you too think I’m weird” she said turned to the door “well your in luck because I don’t think your weird” you joked “at least I know you would try to save me if I was hurt” you say and smile

“Of course y/n you’ll always be my first priority” she smiles

God that smile always made you fall in love with her more and more…only if she knew

But lucky for you, she definitely like what she saw and before you guys know it you making out like to animals in heat

Jayce-

Was checking up on you because he heard you were sick

Didn’t expect to see you with any sort of top on

He froze for a whole minute just staring at you before you realized he was there

“Ahh! Jayce what are you doing” you yelled quickly covering your chest, he snapped out of his staring state “IM SORRY! I froze I didn’t mean to look for so long” he said leaving the room

After you got dressed you came out and seen him sitting beside your door “hey..” you said kneeling beside him , he felt so ashamed he couldn’t look at you “hey” he replied

“Jayce I know you didn’t mean too and it’s okay I mean if I walked in and see you with any clothes on I’d probably freeze two” you laughed

“So you don’t think I’m a stalker creep” he asked “no Jayce I don’t think your a stalker creep, but as long as you stared I hope you got a good show”you said , “ I did” he joked and you slapped him on the arm playfully

Viktor-

Fell down…literally

When he seen you, he tried getting out the door really fast but his cane fell underneath him and there was just a loud bang

It’s shocked you the loud noise, but him on the ground shocked you even more

“Viktor! What happened” you questioned putting on a shirt and running to help him up

“I- uh I walked in and uhm seen you changing- I’m sorry, very sorry miss y/n I didn’t know” he said looking away

“Viktor it’s okay, I’m more shocked that you fell down, but please let me help you up”

he grapped onto you arm and you lifted him up and gave him his cane “thank you miss y/n he said still looking away

“Please call me y/n” you smiled “okay y/n” he smiled back

Still a little awkward between you two but eventually you guys get over it and maybe even start dating:)

You ever think about how Arcane wrote a spectrum of strong female characters with vastly different personalities, skill sets, body types, ethnicities, cultures, and abilities and and yet none of them felt like the a caricature or a “sexy lamp” (aka an objectified romantic interest cough prize to be won that has no real agency or function) like wow an animated tv series based off a vidya game really just did that, didn’t it?

Hollywood, take some notes, please.

Does our fandom hate short people? The hue and cry is cracking me up🤣

tbh, heights in animation are a hit and miss, as they change according to what the scene and camera angle demand. If one is a stickler for heights, I highly rec this tool to see how body parts/angles compare.
