Miruko doesn’t give a damn what anyone thinks about her. Once her mind is made up, there isn’t any changing or persuading her. If there is a villain to fight, Miruko is taking them down no matter what the consequences. 

Her S/O spends so many sleepless nights waiting for her to come home. To get a call to come down to the hospital. Or Heaven forbid, find out Miruko has gotten herself killed rushing headfirst into a fight. 

There are a lot of arguments over the matter. Miruko loves her job, and the risk of injury or death is just something that comes along with it. While she doesn’t understand her S/O’s concern, she also thinks it’s their own fault for getting involved with someone in such a dangerous field. 

She isn’t heartless though. After every fight no matter how big or small, she always comes creeping back, ears back and looking ashamed. The bunny hero knows her temper can get the better of her, and she does feel guilty getting angry about her lover being worried over her well being. 

She does her best to reassure her S/O, flexing her muscles and tossing them into the air to show off her strength. Miruko loves her partner, but she isn’t going to change for them or anyone else.

ahhh love it, and it ties in perfectly to shoumetsu much later cutting out his own heart to give to kai in a last desperate attempt to wake him from the curse!

there was already such mythos surrounding him! the woods in which shoumetsu first glimpsed him was one of several other places known to locals as his territory of sorts, with tales spoken in hushed voices at markets of finding corpses with their hearts missing, drained of all blood. their eyes were always open, still beholding Their Radiance even in death...

K fandom need more Reisi & Tatara friendship. They are so cute when they are together!

(I also want to point out for the consideration of anyone reading this: munatotsu is a Good Ship)

They’re brought together by their desire to stop Mikoto from Doing Irrational Stupid Things

It’s canon that at first Reisi isn’t really that fond of Tatara. He thinks he’s irresponsible and too carefree. 

I also think that Reisi would initially be a little worried by Tatara - Reisi is the kind of person who’s quite difficult to read and he hides his emotions behind his cool businesslike “oya oya” persona, and then along comes Tatara, who can read him just as easily as he reads everyone else, and it makes Reisi uncomfortable. 

Over time however, Reisi can’t help but admit that Tatara is sort of a ray of sunshine and he’s very charming and sweet and it’s difficult to dislike him when you know him, as much as Reisi is exasperated by his lack of concern for health and safety.

Tatara figures that Reisi needs a friend who isn’t also a colleague and isn’t as anti-talkative as Mikoto. He asks to hang out with him and for Reisi to show him his hobbies - puzzles and tea ceremonies and flower arranging etc. Reisi appreciates someone to fanboy over this stuff with - he doesn’t really get to be enthusiastic very often about this stuff, and Tatara has fun trying new things with him, but he also wants to help Reisi relax a little bit rather than overworking himself. 

Tatara also tries to encourage Reisi to open up to him about the stress of his job, and to take more time off and do more things to chill out. 

They end up doing fun stuff together that they can’t persuade anyone else to do with them - going to museums and galleries and observatories that the people in their clan find boring, binging documentary series together.

They have friend dates every week where they do fun (in their opinion - in everyone else’s opinion it’s boring nerd stuff) activities. 

They gossip with each other a whoolllleee bunch, and they text back and forth and meet for coffee a lot to update each other on the latest gossip in their clan. They like to have their noses in everyone else’s business, and sometimes they make plans to actually intervene (like trying to set IzuSeri up on dates, or trying to engineer some kind of reconciliation between Saruhiko and Misaki. They have varying levels of success.) When they do this, they go all out, to the extent of making 5 step plans in flipcharts.

It’s funny you mention that! I was writing a scene today about just that. I won’t spoil what happens, but that question will be addressed in the next chapter, which should hopefully be up in the next couple of days (tentatively today, possibly tomorrow depending on how much time I have to edit tonight)
