3) What work are you most proud of (regardless of kudos/hits)?

I answered this one here but there's another one I'm really proud of which is My Husband is Now Bones and the sequel I'm working on A Gift of Bones. It's very different from what I usually write. It's much darker and there's a lot of violence (also I kill my favorite character). I try to inject some humor still and with the sequel things will (hopefully) start to look up. I think this series is probably my least popular but I really love it. I love Zerzo so much.

16) What’s your most common “Additional Tags” tag?

That would be "Smut" with "Fluff" a close second!

19) What’s one pairing you want to explore next year?

I'd like to write Copia with the Ghouls more. I have a wip for Copia x Aether that's been sitting there and I'd really like to finish it. And I want to write more Terzo x Omega 💙

30. Have you ever written something that was out of your comfort zone? If so, what was it, and how did it affect your approach to writing fic thereafter?

SO LIKE FUNNY STORY. I wanted to try something different and write a “time travel-esque” story with one of my shinichiro fics. I had never written anything like that, I typically write dark content, smut, with a sprinkle of angst and fluff here and there. Mind you - this was before Shinichiro’s full backstory came out in TR. I had an entire story mapped out and EVERYTHING. Not even two parts posted - and his full backstory came out and everything I wanted to do had to be thrown in the garbage because there was no way I could savage anything and remain canon - and I had stupidly challenged myself to stay “canon”. I never picked it up again and I’m on the verge of just deleting it now. Because I hate looking at iT 😂

31. What's your ideal fic length to write?

I don’t have a set word count for drabbles because I just slap shit together. But a full one shot I try to at least write a minimum of 5k words. For a full fic (multi part typically) I try to write 4-5k per part/chapter - I try not to aim for a total word count for a completed mutlipart fic just because it varies so much.

Disregarding the implications of a high-impact car crash on the highway (rip, you will be missed. I hope your family has found affordable insurance in this hard times, and that the government will get up and off of its ass to fix its crumbling infrastructure before the New Years ends), I’m so glad that you enjoyed it?? I wrote the story to me somewhat fucked up, but not like…super-duper fucked up, and I hoped that it would be the right balance between messed up and emotionally impactful and there’s probably some meaning behind it if you wade past the jargon and the prose. The Miracle Wife is 80% a fever dream, guilt/religiously/existentially fueled fantasy of Aemond’s because the dude is insane in the membrane mentally unwell, and of course, nothing with Aemond can ever be simple. *Chef kisses you back. 27. what do you listen to while writing?

It depends on the scene! I have to be careful listening to songs with lyrics, as I can find them distracting. Like I can't hear my own thoughts over the vocalist? I'll also get caught up trying to write to rhythm of the music. (That being said I listen to music a lot BEFORE I write as source of inspiration/set the vibe)

Well first I want to thank you Jules for this question, as it forces me to self-reflect in a POSTIVE way, which I think all of us writers could do more of. Be proud of your work!! Anywho here a few lines I loved :)

This quote describes both Kiyoomi's and my relationship with OCD so it has a lot of personal meaning for me :')

 “It’s fine,” Motoya assures. “Do your stuff.” I know you want to, being the unspoken thing. 

And yet. 

And yet, Kiyoomi never wants to. But he always does. A marionette with his strings wrapped around his throat. Bound by Bad Thoughts. Strangled by the fabric of who he is. Kiyoomi never wants to, but he always does. 

I also liked this description of Kiyoomi thinking Atsumu is about to touch him after a successful service ace (they're thirteen during this)!

Miya steers clear of Kiyoomi and drops down onto the ground in front of his spewing bag. A sudden caesura. The closing of a conductor’s fist. Kiyoomi’s worries tucked away in the bed of his palm. It leaves him almost dizzy. To be well within someone’s reach, only for them to take nothing but his breath. Hold it for him in their hand.

both of these quotes I like in terms of their prose and what they represent thematically! This one pertains to what Suna sees as the inevitability of Osamu leaving him due to outside forces.

Osamu kisses him back like he’s crafting rice, wrapping hands, looking at stars. He kisses Rin like he’s an open wound and he knows. (Rin should stop acting as if he doesn’t.) He kisses Rin like they have time. 

They don't. Not really. Not even the rain can make Rin forget that now.

Now.

Now, Rin thinks of gravity. Gravity, the pinnacle force, which tethers together the earth and moon. Gravity which can tug on time and space like Osamu does with Rin’s hair to kiss his neck. (He does). Gravity which can pull a moment away from the greedy hands of memory. Gravity which can make something last.

Rin knows forever is too much to ask of anything, of anyone. But could he at least ask for this moment to last? Stretch it out like Osamu’s back in the grass. Cup it like his face in the morning. Hold it like his body in bed. Could Rin at least ask for this moment to last? Please? For now?

Now?

No.

I enjoy this next one as it represents the motif of cyclical universes! Sue me I’m a slut of adjectives and adverbs (context they're watching a documentary together)

Rin watches the slide of the screen's prismatic light over Osamu’s enraptured expression. Empyrean ivories, astral blues, elysian reds. Osamu, in celestial technicolor. Rin watches the world end and begin again on Osamu’s face. Infinity becomes briefly human.

Anywho, if you liked those quotes then it'd mean the world if you checked out those stories :)

30. biggest surprise while writing this year?

Probably how much I missed it! While I've been writing since I was a wee lass, I only wrote original works and primarily focused on scripts from high school onwards. In college, I hardly wrote for fun at all, since I just didn't have time.

BUT I started writing regularly again in September of 2021 after discovering fanfic and I remembered how much I loved writing in general, but especially narratively. I've re-fallen in love with words and the wonders they can do :)

Hold the Pain, Release Me

After struggling with traditional therapy for his PTSD, Frank encourages Eddie to try art therapy. It was one of the most realistic portrayals of going through therapy and the catharsis one can find that I’ve ever written.

I find it uplifting. It’s also the least ‘read’ story I have in this fandom. Hee. But I loved it and it will always hold a special place in my heart. :)

Your favorite character to write this year?

I find it easier to write from Buck’s POV, but I really love writing from Eddie’s. I love exploring his POV in stories even if it’s much tougher to get inside his head.

This is from Hold the Pain, Release Me

“Your emotions might not look very “pretty” right now,” Emma told him. “But I bet you have a deep well of powerful fervor just waiting to be tapped and released.” 

Eddie stared at what he’d created, at the ugliness, the dark mash of colors, the paint that had dripped all over the table, the floor. His chest heaving as he tried to catch his breath. 

“Dad?”

Eddie turned around in surprise to see Christopher standing there, Buck beside him. 

“Oh, hey guys.”

“You okay?” Christopher asked.

It took a moment to realize he was looking at Eddie’s shaking hands. “Yeah, I’m sure.”

Christopher studied the canvas, his brow furrowed. “What is it?”

Eddie cleared his throat, uncertainty filling his chest, but he’d promised to be honest, more open. “Um...how I’m feeling inside,” he admitted.

Chris looked from the painting, to his dad, then walked over and wrapped his arms around Eddie’s waist in a hug. Bending down, Eddie held his son close to him, relief and love washing over him.

Hi!! I just read your newest chapter (and frankly the other chapter as well) of your "You've made my House Home (and told me I wasn't alone)" fic, and I am LOVING it! Until I started digging deeper into the DST characters, I hadnt really given Woodie (or Lucy for that matter) any mind, but now I just!!! Am so excited!! To share my interpretation of Woodie, Walter, Warly, and yes Lucy (or what happened to her), No spoils ofc, but I don't think it's a super novel concept of what I'm doing with her, more of how I'm linking these 3 characters.

And speaking of Woodie, Walter, and Warly, the idea of them being a little family is also not mine (@/glassmakerstas did a few artworks with them,) but from there, I just started noticing thier similarities and how really, Warly and Woodie are just the perfect dads for Walter. They're such a family aughhhh

And I also am not gonna spoil how exactly Woodies were-forms work and how Warly and Walter are going to fine out, but it certainly will be... an experience >:)

Also also, I'm glad you liked To Grow A Heart, and if your into more WXWood, I just have to shoutout my best buddy, @waokevale , he's wayyyy more active with WxWood than I am, and his art and writing is really good!!! Thank you for commenting :]

I think it's a tie between A Man After Midnight (which I wrote way back in January and features Copia attempting to do a strip tease) and Satan's Dick (a lil fic I wrote for @kissingghouls for her bday).

Oh dang hmm maybe Secondo? Only because it took me a bit before I felt like I found a way I liked to write him.

split skin (delgado x oc fic) hands down. It’s hot and a lot of fun to write. It took me by surprise and storm and has some of my favorite writing I’ve ever done honestly.

10. What work was the quickest to write?

kill off the hours (a silly sam coe x shepard museum shenanigans fic) Somehow it only took me a day. And it’s not too shabby. It’s a miracle.

29. Favorite line/passage you wrote this year?

This one was really tough 😭 just choosing one. I know that make me sound conceited but again, I’ve put out decent writing this year. But I’ll go with this line from split skin: Soft like setting starlight sifted through one of his lager bottles.
