Ena would find out about Akito"s crush on Tsukasa in the worst way possible and be a menace (supportive) about it, which would kill him I think

oh noooooo, youre so right. she teases him a little, but shes actually being very nice and supportive and wants to know more about him and encourages akito to talk to him. which of course, his reaction to that is Absolutely Not.

the one good thing is that after that side story where akitos teaching toya and tsukasa a dance and tsukasa picks it up ridiculously fast, she pats his head as he moans into his mattress about "why did he have to be good at dancing too"

the day she finds out the guy she watched akito carry in the race during the sports festival was actually tsukasa, akitos about ready to fling himself out the window. she asks if he enjoyed being his knight in shining armour, and akitos like no he was fucking annoying the whole time

now, while she would certainly find tsukasa annoying at first, i also believe in enakasa older sibling besties. and here, when she meets him, its with "this is the guy my brother likes" goggles on. so, while she now deeply understands how obnoxious and annoying he is like akito says, she can also see how nice he is, and most importantly, that akitos annoyance is completely one sided. she thinks this is the funniest thing ever. all of her previously scheduled "oh my god he really is like that" commiserating with akito gets swiftly replaced with "why are you so mean to him youre his 'beloved underclassman~' " and akito has a new reason to want to put himself in the ground

What are your favourite bonnie ships and why?

Sorry I didn't see this earlier! This is the hardest question. I ship almost all of them because Kat has a lot of chemistry with a lot of people. Many of my favorite Bonnie ships don't even have fics and if they do, then the fics are short or rare.

Let's start with the obvious favorite: Klonnie. I am literally writing a fic for them. Why? They are just the hottest cast members and I'm very interested in the power dynamics between the characters. Also, I'm just really interested in how these two could influence each other. Whether that means tapping into Bonnie's dark side or Klaus becoming a better man, there's potential for growth as individuals.

I'd also like to acknowledge Stefonnie as a ship I hold dear to my heart. I live for Paulerina's chemistry plus Stefan and Bonnie are almost mirrors of each other in a way I find intriguing. Remember when I mentioned rare pairs? I also ship Bonnie with both of Stefan's doppelgangers. Silas and Bonnie have an obvious history, but Tom and Bonnie never met. BonTom is my crack ship for Bonnie just getting the fuck out of MF.

Bonkai and Bamon are almost interchangeable to me. I like both. The potential was there from day one with Bamon. I don't buy them as platonic soulmates. They were meant to be lovers. Bonkai with witch!Kai is superior. Heretic!Kai was stupid and he died immediately which does sorta make sense in canon but is still annoying. There's a lot of unresolved sexual tension here with both ships and they deserve a chance to explore their feelings.

What do you think is the meaning behind Mono turning into the Thin man at the end? Do you think that’s an example of his character repeating the cycle of abuse which was imposed onto him?

thank you for asking! i love dissecting the story of little nightmares and the characters so much, so i foresee myself rambling a lot in this answer. here we go.

the long and short of it is, i think that the pale city was always awaiting mono's arrival.

we can see in the scene where mono and six are first travelling to the pale city that upon their approach, the buildings immediately begin to bend and warp towards them. the city already seemed to recognise mono's latent powers in this moment as it responded to his presence- that, or his fate had already been decided by the nowhere. the city demanded a broadcaster.

my (current, and constantly subject to change!) interpretation of events is that six accompanying mono impeded what the nowhere had already predestined him to.

he's described throughout promotional materials as "an uncommonly single-minded child." this phrase has always fascinated me. we get so few solid details about the children's mindsets and motivations in this world so it's difficult not to fixate on that simple string of information. yet despite him having this singular, unshakeable motivation to move towards the pale city and find the source of the transmission, the signal tower, he still allowed himself to be waylaid. he stopped to free six.

the pale city exists because the need for escapism exists. therefore, the broadcaster that would oversee the signal tower and send out the transmission across the city would have to be a figure that was sunken deeply into escapism, too. somebody who needed a distraction. somebody who had been through such immense pain, such betrayal, that they would do anything to put it to the back of their mind. somebody who needed the false comfort that escapism and denial of reality provides.

when asked if mono ever thought about lashing out against the tower, using his powers to level the city, or generally defying what had happened to him, the little nightmares twitter responded: "of course not. like all sensible children, he eventually came around to our way of thinking." they also stipulated that mono's idea of escapism would be, "revenge, maybe? a second chance?"

i believe that the looping events of little nightmares ii are caused by mono's own desire for either revenge or a second chance. he conceded to the tower's will because escapism was offered to him when he so desperately wanted it.

he is the thin man, cast into the depths of the flesh walls, but in his mind, he's mono again, back at the start of everything in the forest. the loop that persistently plays out is a recreation of events that allows mono to engage in the escapism of being at six's side again after everything that happened forever. he can't change what happened. but he can enjoy second chance after second chance, being her friend again before everything went wrong- the thing he so desperately craves.

the thin man takes his revenge in chasing her and stealing her away. keeping her prisoner in the signal tower, in pain just as he is and will continue to be forevermore. even if he goes on to free her after the fact. i don't think mono exactly 'remembers' how everything happens when he lapses into these bouts of escapism with the loops playing out over and over. it wouldn't be true escapism if he was aware of how painfully everything was going to end. everything feels new for mono, but as the thin man, he remembers and guides others into the false lull of security that turning away from reality offers.

six was a perfect instrument to use against mono. even though she was initially detrimental to the tower's goal of drawing mono in, she later became an essential part of it.. she was a catalyst of trauma and the tower maliciously aligned events when it warped her into a monster, setting everything up to transpire in such a way that she would abandon him. when mono shattered six's music box, he denied her the escapism it provided. the comfort and denial of her painful reality was snatched away. this goes to show exactly how intoxicating the tower and it's transmission are, and how manipulated events between the two children were. the end goal was always for mono to think he was saving six, while she wholeheartedly believed he was hurting her and ruining her happiness. that he was unsafe to be around.

This one in particular irrevocably changed me as a teen, and is one story that I continue to draw inspiration upon when I create dark!AUs for my SI/OCs.

#9: Zutopia by itslivybear (ao3) || the fluff, the worldbuilding, an AU where Izuku is mentored by our beloved Rat God & together, they fix the world problems? GIRLIES catch me forever LOVING this concept like you could NEVER believe <3

#7: Hold my Soul by connyhascontrol (ao3) || I got into Trixie/Katya completely by one @montaguehphm introducing me to UNHhhh (HIIIIIII bestie I hope everything is going good and that ur gay keeps slay <3) and I haven't recovered ever since— reading the fics by writers on AO3 was a happy little accident, but one i will FOREVER love, nonetheless. Anyway, this particular fic was SO brilliantly original and YET so entrenched in the personalities between T&K that it ABSOLUTELY just wrecks me everytime I reread it. anyways hi @connyhascontrol pls know ur brilliant <3

#6: I think I'm gonna call him out by hellelf (ao3, users only) || again, another AU for Hermione fic, that's chockfull of world building and interesting relationships! It's been unupdated from its 5 chapters since 2021, but I still LOVE to look back at it from time to time 💖

#5: The Confectionary Chronicles series by cheshire_caroll (ao3); Into the Black series by angelholme (ao3); Hermione Granger & the Serpent's Renaissance series by epsi1on (ao3) AND New Blood by artemisgirl (ff.net) || if it's not evident, i am an absolute slut for fics ft. Hermione being badass & put into a v cool plot w/ insane amounts of world building, so yeah, def a top 5 most contender <3

#4: The Infinitely Curious Woman by chararii (ao3) || literally ALL of their fics are absolute bangers, and while I forever mourn their decision to stop all Naruto fics thanks to the great harddrive incident of 2022, I have nonetheless the GREATEST respect to their skill & talent to bring SUCH LIFE to their stories. In particular, I chose this particular fic of theirs because the premise of Sakura making her own way by shedding off her morality the more she learned & got influenced by her 2 greatest teachers was absolutely nothing short of DIVINE. It was and IS such an inspiration to read, reread & explore, and I will forever love @chararii for this brilliant piece of a fic

#3: The Endgame that never was series by @heleneplays aka me (tumblr masterlist) || ok I know this seems self-absorbed but DEAR MOTHER OF CHRISTIE i literally WENT OFF for a whole ass day and a half going feral for the Relics of the Lost Age series book 3 finale (hi @jamesshawgames pls know im still here and STILL simping even tho i am currently having a brainrot for a different thing on main sjdhdkdk i hope ur doing well dearest mr. chief author sir!!!!) and created this series from my dreams + nonstop ben&ben playlist— and honestly, I think it's VERY sexy of me <3 bc I rarely like things that I do after a while, but THIS— alongside Universal Constant (ao3) are truly my BEST work <3

You don't need to reconcile any whitewashing. Because there was no whitewashing. What you really mean is "this character isn't dark enough to qualify for poc in my book", which is complete horsecrap and you know it.

hey. paesan. pal. repeat after me: whitewashing is not just about skin tone. it's also about facial features. the bad batch DO have lighter skin than temuera morrison (aka the actor who played the man they're meant to look like) but they also have VERY white features. which makes no sense, given that they're clones, and is racist because the smartest members of are also the palest AND have the most obviously eurocentric features. they're so white that the 19th century called because they want their social darwinism back.

and i am by no means saying that lightskinned ppl can't be poc! just saying that these particular poc need to be a) darker skinned bc again. clones and b) need to have their facial features fixed so they look more like the man they're. you know. clones of.

I'm so bad at replying to asks. Sorry that I'm just getting to this! I already partially answered this I think but I can expand.

Would I ever write Bonkai? I feel like my perspective on Kai isn't seen in a lot of Bonkai fics. I think he's mentally ill (sociopathy/ASPD) and his parents neglected to give him the care he always needed. I'm not sure I'm capable of writing that in a way that feels right. I'm a happy ending girlie (mostly). I don't think Kai can really be redeemed (does he need to be?) without some serious healing.

Do I have a plot in mind? Yes, I've been sitting on this idea for years now. Imagine Bonnie and Kai in the 1994 prison world. Bonnie recognizes that her sanity and emotional stability is slipping. Out of desperation to escape, she makes a deal with Kai for them to work together and leave.

What's the deal? Kai can leave the prison world with Bonnie ONLY if he agrees not to seek revenge on his family or attack innocence. This wouldn't fly with Kai and he would want more than his freedom. He wants his coven. All Bonnie has to offer him is her family legacy. She promises that they can re-establish and rule the Bennett coven together. Of course, this leads to a marriage of convenience.

Naturally, Bonnie and Kai can't trust each other to follow through on the agreement. They seal the deal with blood as a compromise. This all leads to Bonnie and Kai traveling the world to recruit Bennetts. Kai has to face his demons while struggling to understand the enigma that is his new wife. Bonnie manages to find him a power source that won't leave him defenseless without the presence of other magical beings. Bonnie gets a husband who worships the ground she walks on. They work through trauma as they build a coven and a family. I'll probably never write this but I think about it all the time. I could go into more detail, but I'm not sure you want to read more of my rambling.

also i just wanted to add - everyone has been so nice and supportive of the au so far! i’ve only posted a fic once before, years ago, and lets just say the community’s reaction to it wasn’t as nice. i ended up deleting both the fic and my account out of embarrassment and haven’t posted anything since then. i was scared when first posting this idea because even though it was a different fandom and i’d seen first hand just how scarily nice ninjago tumblr is, i didn’t want people to act like they had all those years ago. but no, youve all been so indescribably lovely to me, and it makes me so happy to be part of such a kind fandom!

i hope that this au continues to be something you can find joy in. your thoughts and comments mean so much to me.
