#any ship could fit with natsu in a way

Note
someone could have asked this previously but do you have any hcs or ideas for lgbt ships? I am a grayke lover like you and would love to know!!
Well, I've done some Grayke Headcanons before, and you can find those at [this post.] But lemme see if I can think up some more!
Canajane: Cana confesses first, but it takes a good long while because no one ever really knows what Cana is thinking. (does she date men as often as she says? does she like men? women? who knows? she seems pretty open to anything, but no one's ever SEEN her actually out on the dating scene all that much.) She finally confesses when she gets tired of hearing people spread rumors about Laxus and Mirajane, and is very happy when Mirajane admits she's not even attracted to men. (A fact Laxus already knew, but kept secret as it wasn't his to tell.)
Fraxus: Freed takes the lead a lot more often than one might think. It comes naturally to him after leading The Raijinshuu for so long and Laxus is happy being able to trust Freed enough to just let it happen. But their business is their business, so it doesn't get shared often.
Lisanna: Ever the chaotic asexual who likes to tease and join in on pranks, has turned down more offers for dates than she can count because she really doesn't want anything physical with people and they always have to make it about that why... (I may be projecting a little here, but shh.) May also be Aromantic, but the jury is still out on that. (Even Lisanna doesn't know. If anyone asks she's just gonna shrug.)
Eflman: Trans. What's manlier than a selfmade man. (as said by @phoenix-before-the-flame) He knew what he was since he was very young, and while it scared and confused him to bring it up at first, the way both sisters immediately called him by his chosen name and pronouns filled him with so much joy. (No wonder he immediately wanted to learn take over so Mirajane didn't have to be alone. He wanted to do for her what she'd done for him.) No one remembers who Elfman "used" to be anymore and he couldn't be happier. (and when Evergreen eventually found out, she stopped harping on him about his "be a man" speeches as much and would often say it to him instead, just to watch his face light up. But shh, don't tell anyone.) Natsu: DemiRomantic and DemiSexual. This gremlin is the Demi of all Demis. Romance? Don't think about it until he's already neck deep in feels for someone and by then it's just confusing and overwhelming so time to pretend that's not there. Sexuality? Can he eat that? (In a non sex way thank you very much.) Sure, the jokes and the fantasies come out the more he ends up liking someone, but he'd much rather a good ole brawl over the horizontal tango any day. (That and who dances horizontally? That's weird. What? What do you mean that's not what that means? Crap.)
Hisui and Yukino: They're shy babs who don't know what to do with their feelings or where to even begin expressing them. Especially since they don't see each other often, but Hisui certainly has felt things for Yukino since she first laid eyes on her and it sometimes leaves her feeling restless and annoyed that she's stuck in Crocus Castle all the time. (Being a Princess is full of too many duties to be running about on dates, after all.) Yukino is more oblivious and while she thinks Hisui is gorgeous and a wonderful leader, she doesn't understand why the Princess Blushes so much when they're around each other.
Stingue: He has moments of gay panic around Rogue more than one might think. He can't help it. The soft smiles Rogue gives just makes his heart stutter and he forgets how words work half the time. Please don't tell Rogue, the shadow slayer would NEVER let him live it down.
Frosch: No ship but.. they're enby. It's canon. No one can convince me otherwise.
I'm sure I can think up some more, but I don't wanna make this post too long. I may write more later. Thanks for asking, @newgeht !

something old, something new ship: natsu dragneel x lucy heartfilia summary: Though Lucy tries not to let herself live in the grief of losing her mother, there still lingers a hint of regret that she never got to meet Natsu. Or at least, that's what she thinks. The red string of fate seems to have a different story to tell. ao3
Tumblr media
A soft cough passes through Lucy’s lips as dust sputters up into the air. It’s been a while since she’s been in this storage unit and the thin layer of grime that has built up on every surface shows it.
She’s not a hoarder, but the look of the unit, holding every single memory of her late mother that she could get her hands on might imply her to be one. She’s not, she’s just sentimental.
It’s hard to go through this stuff, but it’s harder to get rid of it, so it stays inside this unit. Today she has no intention of ridding herself of the burden of anything in here though, no, she has something much different in mind.
Lucy idly twists the ring on her left hand—a habit she’s picked up since the day that Natsu first got down on one knee. She’s not really a ring person so she’s not used to the way it feels on her finger yet. Natsu had told her that she didn’t have to wear it, that they could change it for something else, a necklace, a bracelet, perhaps, but she had staunchly refused. The ring was special, something he had put a lot of time and thought into. If she wasn’t a ring person, she would become one, just for this.
It’s nothing fancy, a simple gold band with a dazzling red garnet as the centrepiece. Red isn’t typically her colour, but it’s Natsu’s colour and she is his and he is hers so it only feels fitting.
Though she hasn’t stepped foot in here in many years, she still knows most of what makes up the mess. She knows her mother’s astronomy books are piled up in the left corner, right on top of her vast collection of fairy and folktales. Her jewellery, sparse of what’s left of it, sits in a box right next to her collection of dresses, both of which pique Lucy’s attention today.
With their wedding date inching closer each day, she’s in here looking for something that might constitute her something old to bring the memory of her beloved mother with her on what is soon to be the happiest day of her life.
She knows her mother would have loved Natsu and she knows he, in turn, would have loved her. It’s a thought she doesn’t like to dwell on for too long. Though knowing that at least one of her parents would have loved her life-partner is soothing to the soul, if she lingers for just a moment too long, it fills her with a deep sorrow that she often cannot contain. Knowing the fondness the two most important people in her life would have no doubt held for each other just makes it all the worse knowing that they would never meet, that though Layla lives on in Lucy’s heart and memory, that is all of her that she can share with Natsu—memories.
Before her thoughts can lead her any further astray, Lucy reminds herself of why she’s here. Weaving past boxes stacked across the floor, she makes her way to the back of the unit to find her mother’s jewellery.
Though she wasn’t one to flaunt their rather excessive wealth, Layla had procured a few pieces in her time. Most of them were lost to time and pawn shops upon the bankruptcy of the Heartfilia Konzern but there were still a few sentimental pieces that Lucy couldn’t bare to part with that remained in her possession. Several earrings, a few necklaces, a bracelet or two—hopefully one of which would lend itself to match the rest of her wedding ensemble.
As Lucy goes to retrieve the jewellery box, she’s stopped in her tracks when she finds a stack of photos sitting atop it. They’re not personal ones—all of her family photos now reside in Lucy’s apartment, rather, it’s a collection of school class photos. Before she had succumbed to her illness, Layla had been an elementary school teacher, a job that Lucy could not think suited better to anyone than her mother. She was full of love, kindness, compassion—everything you would want in someone who was raising a future generation of children. She had no doubt touched the lives of hundreds of students who passed through her classroom in her tenure.
A soft smile graced Lucy’s lips as she thought about it. Most of her students would no doubt be her age by now. She wonders if they still look fondly back on their time in Mrs. Heartfilia’s classroom. She hopes so. She hopes that her legacy lives on in the hearts of more than just her kin.
Unable to thwart her curiosity and sentimentality, Lucy picks up the stack and begins to flip through it.
She doesn’t expect to recognise anyone in the photos—Layla taught at a public school whereas Lucy found herself attending private school at her father’s insistence, so it’s mostly brief glances as she leafs through the images, watching the way her mother ages through each one.
Mostly, anyway.
There’s one image in particular that does manage to pique her interest. If she had spent even just a second less looking at the students in it, she’s certain she would have missed it altogether, but she doesn’t—she spots it out of the corner of her eye and she almost can’t believe what she’s seeing. Right there, next to her mother, is a familiar head of pink hair, one that she knows she would recognise anywhere, one that surely belongs to her beloved fiancé.
Lucy can’t do anything but sit and stare at it for a moment in disbelief.
Surely it can’t be him.
If her mother had taught her fiancé, she feels like that’s something that would have come up in conversation before now, but that messy pink hair combined with those lively dark eyes and that toothy Natsu grin that always had her tripping over her feet and words are the telltale signs that give him away.
Her eyes flick down to the names and what she has already figured out is confirmed when she sees the name Natsu Dragneel printed out at the bottom.
It feels like a prank, something too good to be true, but no, it’s real. It’s in print, in her hands, and as she runs her thumb across Natsu’s image, she knows that her eyes aren’t playing tricks. She doesn’t even realise she’s crying until her vision starts to fog up and the tears begin to land on the picture, rolling off the laminate and leaving a damp trail in its wake.
She doesn’t bother going through what she came here for, barely even remembering to grab it on her way out, her attention instead captured only by the photo in her hand.
“Natsu!” She calls out into the apartment, class photo in hand. “Natsu!”
Her cries draw his attention up from his lunch and she doesn’t give him any explanation before she thrusts the picture into his hands. He glances up at her in confusion for a moment, finding her looking expectantly back at him which prompts him to give it a better look.
“Where did you get this,” he asks, brows furrowed in confusion as he finally realises what it is.
“I found it in mama’s storage unit,” Lucy explains.
He looks up at her, then back down at the photo, then up at her again, and she can see the gears turning in his head as he begins to put the pieces together. His mouth drops open as he seemingly struggles to come up with a coherent response but Lucy doesn’t need one. She’s so overcome with joy over this new revelation that simply sharing it with him is enough for her.
She had already mourned the loss of her mother once, then again as she mourned the fact that she and Natsu would never meet. Now, she realises that the red string of fate that winds around her finger has always led back to him, as though her very own mother had sent him to her from her space now amongst the stars.
“You’re Mrs. Heartfilia’s daughter,” he finally manages to say, a hint of disbelief tainting his voice.
He holds up the class photo as if to look at her and her mother side-by-side, comparing them as though to see if it’s real. She’s been told that she’s the spitting image of her mother, but given how young Natsu must have been when she taught him, she doesn’t blame him for not realising it until now.
“Man,” he breathes as he finally puts the photo down before breaking out into a grin. “She was the best.”
Lucy laughs, her heart swallowed with an insurmountable joy that she’s certain words will never adequately convey. She imagines a rowdy child Natsu running around her mother’s classroom, she imagines scribbled drawings of dragons and fire scrawled with crayon filling up Layla’s desk. It gives her a sense of closure that she had never even thought possible until now.
She beams up at Natsu, her heart full as she embraces him, burying her face in his chest. As his arms slip around her, she’s able to make peace knowing the tie between her something old and her something new.

This was requested on AO3 by Fairyzilla.
I really, really like Millianna. I think she's cute, funny, and just generally enjoyable to watch. She's amusing. I also quite like Millianna x Lucy. It's an intriguing and cute ship, methinks. However, this should not be a surprise. I tried to find some fics about this ship, but couldn't find any. If you by any chance know of any, then please tell me. I refuse to accept that I am the only person that is writing a piece of fanfiction about Millianna x Lucy.
Also, I got an internship! I will be helping girls from Afghanistan learn. I'm not sure how this will effect my upload schedule, but hopefully it won't have too much of an effect.
I hope you enjoy!
The Cat Caught the Fairy (Millianna x Lucy ft. Mirajane, Erza, Cana, and Levy)
Mira watched with a soft smile as Lucy laughed at something she had said. The barmaid polished a glass before observing that the blonde across from her at the bar had finished her strawberry milkshake. She walked away briefly to bring back a refill. The celestial wizard smiled and thanked Mira, causing the white-haired woman to blush and look down at her hands that were polishing another glass, her heart slightly picking up speed.
Lucy then continued to talk about a recent job with her team, failing to notice the lovestruck gaze that was directed toward her. Mira had developed romantic feelings for the blonde in front of her shortly after she joined the guild. She's tried several times to confess her feelings, but either wasn't able to keep the courage that she had built up or couldn't get Lucy alone long enough.
The white-haired woman was frustrated beyond belief. She deemed herself lucky that Lucy hadn't already gotten into a relationship. If she was being honest, she had both feared and expected Lucy to eventually start dating Natsu, however, she was proven wrong when Lisanna and Natsu had gotten together.
The take-over mage was so happy that the main contender for Lucy's heart wasn't a concern that she felt a rush of courage to confess her feelings. However, before she could, she realized that she didn't know for sure if Lucy was interested in women. She had decided to wait for the appropriate moment she could ask the celestial wizard what her sexuality was.
Deciding that this current moment was the right one, she waited for Lucy to finish her story and begin sipping on her cold beverage. The white-haired woman sat the polished glass in her hands to the side and leaned forward to rest her chin in her palm as she propped her elbow on the bar. She asked, a smirk on her pretty face, "so, Lucy, are you into men or women?"
She chuckled as Lucy flew into a coughing fit, having choked on her milkshake upon hearing that question. Once she regained her composure, the blonde looked at Mira with wide, surprised brown eyes. Chocolaty brown eyes that Mira felt as though she could just melt into. The celestial wizard stuttered, "w-what?"
Mira chuckled some more and repeated, "are you into men or women?"
Lucy raised an eyebrow as she straightened on the stool she sat on, questioning, "are you asking what my sexuality is?" Mira nodded with a smile, silently hoping that she was into women. Lucy blushed and looked down at the bar, visibly flustered. She stammered, "I-I well...I guess I'm...um...interested in both...though, I think I lean more t-towards women."
Mira suppressed the grin that was trying to fight its way onto her face. Instead, she maintained a soft smile. She was ecstatic with that knowledge. Now that she knew the woman she loved was interested in women, she just had to find the perfect opportunity to confess.
Erza and Lucy walked through a marketplace, looking at the food, clothes, and other items that were being sold in a line of stalls. The two women were on a job together in Lilly Town, enjoying the peace they were able to get from Natsu and Gray.
As Lucy gazed around at the stalls, Erza watched her with a smile and a faint blush dusting her cheeks. She had asked Lucy to go on this job with her with the goal of spending more time with the celestial wizard.
For some time now, the red-haired mage had been in love with the celestial wizard next to her. She's been debating with herself about if she should confess or not. She knew that Lucy was more interested in women than she was in men, and that Natsu and Gray weren't problems since they were with Lisanna and Juvia respectively. The problem that Erza was having was that she didn't know if Lucy was interested in her in the same way.
Fortunately, she hadn't noticed any indication that the blonde was interested in anybody at all, so that meant Erza had a chance of getting Lucy to fall for her. She just had to figure out how to do so.
The requip mage was brought out of her thoughts when Lucy grabbed her arm and pulled her toward a stall that sold clothing, exclaiming, "Erza, look at that shirt!" Once they reached the stall, they observed a cropped halter top that had a galaxy design, something that Lucy would clearly love.
Erza watched the celestial wizard gaze lovingly at the top. Erza chuckled, taking out some money to buy the piece of clothing for her, when a brunette man slid up next to Lucy, a playboy-esque smirk on his face. He asked smoothly, "you like that shirt? How about I buy it for you, and in exchange, you can accompany me on a date?"
Erza watched as Lucy began trying to come up with an excuse to shoot down his offer, clearly uncomfortable. The man wrapped an arm around Lucy and prompted, "come on, what's the harm in one date?"
The requip mage felt her stomach turn in jealousy and disgust as she clenched her hands into fists and gritted her teeth. She didn't like seeing this guy flirting with Lucy and trying to get a date with her. Erza quickly requiped into her Clear Heart Clothing before she grabbed Lucy's arm and pulled her away from the man. Pointing the tip of her katana against the scared man's throat, the red-haired woman growled, "Lucy clearly isn't interested! Leave her alone or I will make you regret coming here!"
The man yelped in response and ran away. As she requiped back into her normal clothing, Erza heard Lucy's laughter from behind her. Turning around, she watched with a blush and eyes that reflected her awe of how beautiful the blonde was when she laughed. The older mage then turned to the merchant on the other side of the clothing stall and slammed down some jewel, requesting, "that halter top, please."
The pair of mages soon began walking to the train station to make their way back to Magnolia, Lucy holding the top with an appreciative smile and Erza wrapping her arm around the blonde's shoulders, bringing her in closer. Hopefully, soon she would be able to confess her feelings to the celestial wizard that was beaming at her with a lovely smile.
Cana gulped down a mug of alcohol, watching as Lucy worked on her novel next to her. She smiled softly. She enjoyed seeing Lucy so wrapped up in her written work. The celestial wizard was pretty as a picture and intelligent, two things that the brunette next to her loved in a romantic partner. Cana felt her cheeks warm when the blonde looked over at her and smiled before turning her attention back to her novel.
The card mage had loved Lucy since the S-Class Trials. She had considered the blonde to be one of her closest friends, possibly even her closest friend, but it was when Lucy helped her during the S-Class Trials that the brunette woman realized her growing feelings that went beyond platonic for the celestial wizard.
Cana was hesitant to admit her feelings to Lucy. She had always been open about her attraction toward women, and enjoyed teasing others about their sex lives, however, when it came to the feelings she held toward someone else, she wasn't so confident and vulgar.
She down another mug of alcohol and continued to observe the younger woman next to her. She was planning to confess soon. She just had to get Lucy alone. The celestial wizard was busy, now more than ever. She was always either on a job, working on her novel, or preoccupied with something else.
It frustrated Cana. She wanted to confess her feelings, but never got the chance. She was going to ask Lucy to go on a job with her, but didn't get the chance to as Erza had decided to drag the celestial wizard out on a job.
The brunette woman waved to Mira to bring her another mug of alcohol. As she downed the bitter drink, she decided that she would ask Lucy to go on a job with her. Once the blonde was no longer too busy and agreed to go on a job with her close friend, Cana would confess her feelings. She just hoped that Lucy felt the same way.
Levy laughed along with her best friend, enjoying the sight of the laughing blonde across from her. She felt her heart pick up speed and her stomach flip as her cheeks warmed into a light blush. The pair had been laughing at a joke that the blue-haired woman had said. She watched as Lucy pushed her newest chapter toward her and said with a sly smile, "I think that this chapter will be your favorite."
The bookworm accepted the chapter with a gentle smile. She was about to begin reading it when her best friend lamented, "I had to write it three times because my team kept destroying the chapter."
Levy gave her an almost pained smile. She knew that it was typical Team Natsu, but she still didn't like that Natsu, Gray, and Erza had made it a habit of breaking into Lucy's apartment and damaging it, even destroying the chapters of her novel. Levy wished that her best friend would put her foot down with her team, but Lucy loved Team Natsu, so she put up with their antics.
The blue-haired mage waved her hand dismissively, saying with a smile, "maybe you could keep them in a safe. That might save them."
Lucy nodded thoughtfully, responding, "maybe."
Levy then set the chapter aside, deciding that she wanted to talk to Lucy for a bit longer before she delved into the chapter that she had been waiting weeks for. She asked, "anybody you have your eye on?" She raised an eyebrow suggestively to drive in her point. She chuckled as she watched Lucy blush heavily and frantically deny that she was interested in anybody.
Levy was in love with her best friend. She had long accepted that fact. She knew that many of her guildmates would swear up and down that she was interested in Gajeel, however, that wasn't true. The dragon slayer was simply a very close friend. The letter mage would admit to herself that she loved Lucy, but she was unable to confess her feelings to the woman of her affections.
She had lamented to Gajeel, who was surprisingly supportive and encouraged her to take that bold step. The Iron Dragon Slayer would very often advise his small friend to simply confess to Lucy while they were talking about the latter's novel. It was an unspoken rule within the guild that the two women weren't to be interrupted when they were talking about literature. Levy knew that this was a good piece of advice. Nobody would bother them so she would be able to confess her love to her best friend with no interruptions.
However, this was easier said than done. Levy watched as Lucy calmed herself, playfully demanded for her to start reading the chapter, and walk away to get a strawberry milkshake. The letter mage picked up the chapter. She would confess eventually. She knew that she would.
Mira sat a mug of alcohol in front of Cana and turned to Levy, who sat one stool away from the brunette as she read a book, asking with a smile, "do you want anything, Levy?" The blue-haired woman shook her head, eyes still locked on the book in her hands. Mira nodded and looked back at Cana, inquiring, "are you planning to go on a job soon, Cana?"
The brunette sat down her mug before she could take a sip, giving a large smirk as she answered, "I'm planning to take Lucy on a job!" This statement got the attention of Mira, Levy, and Erza, the third woman having been in the middle of walking by to ascend the staircase that lead to the second floor of the guildhall so she could get an S-Class job.
Levy turned and remarked to Cana, feeling an inkling of jealousy settle in her stomach and begin growing, "really? You and Lucy must be awfully close then."
The card mage raised an eyebrow, saying with a slight laugh in her tone, "I sure hope so. I plan on telling her that I love her on the job."
This reveal caused Levy to snap her book closed, Erza to jump toward the bar and stare down at Cana, and Mira to slam her hands down on the bar. All three women had fixed a glare onto the card mage. Cana questioned as she crossed her arms over her chest, already understanding the reason behind the glares of the three other women, "is there a problem?" It was clear from her tone of voice that her question was a rhetorical one.
Mira gritted her teeth and sneered, "you are not going to do that!"
Cana glared at the white-haired woman. "Why not? I thought you loved when guildmates got together." Her tone was calm in an almost eerie way.
Mira bit back, "not when one of those guildmates is Lucy! You aren't going to ask her out because I am!"
Before Cana could say anything else, Erza snapped, "neither of you have a chance with Lucy! I'm her closest female friend, so naturally, I have a better chance with her!"
The three women snapped their attention toward the red-haired mage. Levy almost growled, "you are not her closest female friend! I am! I'm her best friend!"
The four mages then began arguing about which of them had a better chance with Lucy, and which of them would be better for her. They hadn't gotten far into their argument until Natsu yelled to them, "Erza! Your cat-crazy friend is here!"
The four mages turned to look at Natsu, who sat with Lucy and Gray at their table, pointing toward the guild's doors where a person in a black cloak stood. Confused, Erza walked around and had only taken a few steps toward the figure when they took off the hood of their cloak, revealing Millianna.
The requip mage gasped and was about to bound over to her childhood friend to engulf her in a hug when a squeal broke through the guildhall. Everyone, Erza, Mira, Levy, and Cana included, watched as an elated Lucy run to Millianna, jumped into her open arms, and slammed her lips onto the other woman's in a passionate kiss.

Child of The Galaxy - Fairy Tail x Fem!Child!Reader - Chapter 6.75 - Grimoire Heart's Master - Tenrou Island Arc
Grimoire Heart
"You're all here." Gray smiled as Erza caught him from falling to the ground, spotting Natsu, Lucy and Wendy with her.
"Hey guys!" Lucy smiled, not noticing how you were lingering a bit over.
"Glad we found you!" Wendy added as Natsu broke into a grin.
"Feel like getting some payback?"
///
"So, you wish the same treatment I gave your master? Come face your destruction, children of Makarov." Hades stated before dramatically walking inside the ship.
"Y/n, you can go with Happy too, find whatever makes this thing move and take it out of commission!" Natsu instructed you and the exceeds, as Erza glared.
"I told you to get away from the danger, not follow us towards it."
"Do you want a way up there or do you want to waste magic power ice-making some stairs?" You deadpanned, opening a portal to the top of the ship as you headed through with the exceeds.
///
"So loud! Who builds a ship with such horrible sound insulation! It sounds like it's inside my head!"
"Hey Lily, ever heard of Laxus? He's a lightning dragon slayer." You chuckled, jogging alongside the exceeds to find the ship's power source.
"What exactly are you suggesting, child?" Carla enquired as she turned to look at you.
"I'm more than suggesting. I can sense his lightning." You shrugged, opening a door for the exceeds to search the room.
///
"Lightning got in!"
"Could you two be any more pathetic?" Carla exclaimed as Lily and Happy began to panic.
"He's here." You whispered to yourself, smiling at the sound of lightning striking.
///
"I'm afraid that searching as a group isn't going to get us anywhere. I feel it would be best to split up." Carla admitted, the four of you going separate ways and opening all the doors available.
"Jeez, what kind of freaky ship is this?" Carla exclaimed as you sweatdropped at finding a janitor's cupboard.
"At least they own a mop..." You muttered to yourself before continuing to search.
///
"No luck, so much for splitting up." Happy sighed, as Carla recommended searching as a group again.
"Sure, that's fine by me." Lily confirmed, as you quirked a brow.
"What's with the door handle?" you whispered as the four of you began to walk.
"I don't know what you're talking about." Lily stated, not looking at you as you giggled quietly.
///
"Hey Happy. We're missing a really cool battle right now." You pointed out as you opened another door, finding a bathroom this time.
///
"Lily, prepare to die!"
"Can you three not start fighting in the vents, please!" You exclaimed into the vent entrance that you had been too small to fit in, unlike the three exceeds.
"Y/n, we've found the power source, we're dropping down now!" Carla instructed, her eyes widing when you portalled in next to where Happy landed, in front of the Grimoire Heart.
"How are we supposed to break something that big on our own?" Happy exclaimed, shrieking as he spotted you focussing your spatial magic.
More shrieking was heard as Lily took out the Grimoire Heart goons, and your magic began to form a blast that shattered whatever was protecting the heart, ruining the Devil's Heart.
"We should go!" Lily yelled, the four of you hurrying away as the crowd of Grimoire Heart goons chased after you.
"Save us!" Carla shouted as they found the rest of Fairy Tail, whilst you spun on your heel, creating spatial orb after spatial orb that blasted the Grimoire goons flying.
"Y/n's really kicking butt... too bad I don't have any magic power left." Gray pointed out as the others admitted they'd ran out as well.
"Stay right where you are!" Makarov ordered as he turned up with the rest of the base camp.
A smirk crossed your lips as the Grimoire goons all froze, realising how many Fairy Tail members were left, and that Master Hades had been defeated.
Staring off onto the horizon, Erza wrapped an arm around your shoulder, not letting you out of her sight as everyone began to walk back to the base camp.
///
You ignored the discourse occurring below you at the base camp as you hovered above the trees with your gravity magic, staring out at the horizon.
"Hey Y/n! Do you see something up there or are you just staring at the Tenrou Tree?" Levy enquired as Wendy finished healing her, the rest of the queue going to Erza to be treated, much to their stupidity.
"I don't like this feeling... not at all..."
///
A gasp left your lips as you sensed the explosion from Zeref's wrath, killing Master Hades.
Tears filled your eyes as you sensed something else, something terrifying. You had no idea you were sensing Acnologia.

what you once did
ship: gruvia
word count: ~1k
summary: Gray loved Juvia. With all of his heart, he loved her. He had always believed he wasn't strong enough to love her- but that's okay. For him, she will wait.
i hope you like it!
-------------------------------------------------------
you once held me under the moonlight.
i liked to think we fit just right.
fuck- my heart had been so full that night.
we swayed to the soft melody
of chirping crickets and running water.
warm breaths, slowly beating hearts.
Gray took her hand as he led her down the moonlit path. Smirking, he continued to pull her along while she stumbled after him, complaining about the tightness of her shoes and practically begging him to carry her. He knew she was the only one in his heart, the only one that could fill the space left by his parents and mentor. It was about time he told her- both of them had been too close to death, far too many times for their comfort. He's stronger now than he once was, and he knows he can protect her.
Gray took a hold of her biceps as he moved her in front of him. With his hand, he held her jaw and tilted her chin up. He looked at her, hand now cupping her face. At that moment, any doubts he once had vanished, for it was clear. She was the only one that ever meant anything to him, and she always would be.
Half an hour and slightly teary confessions later, they held each other under the moon. He whispered sweet nothings as he kissed her forehead, cheekbones, the side of her jaw- anywhere he could reach. Juvia gently rocked them, shifting her feet as she leaned into him. She giggled as he kissed her softly and did the things he once was too afraid to do.
Both of them were content, everything as it should be. Just Gray and Juvia, the ocean and its moon, quite literally water and ice. The evening marked the start of something beautiful, something new.
you once looked at me
like i was composed of all the stars
in your sky.
we laughed,
sharing old memories.
intertwined hands and brushing knees.
In the middle of a field, Juvia and Gray sat on the blanket she brought. They had just finished a job and decided they had enough time to rest before taking the train back to Magnolia. Anyone who walked past them could tell they were lovesick puppies. It was clear in the way he looked at her, eyes warm and smile soft. Watching her laugh at a stupid joke he made about Natsu filled his heart. When she said something particularly funny, he would laugh- fully, unrestricted. Had anyone from Fairy Tail seen him, they would wonder what happened to him. This wasn't the man they knew.
Her knees brushed his and she scooted closer, locking their hands and putting her head on his shoulder. They sat there, talking about everything and nothing as the sun started to set behind them. She never felt so accepted, so wholly loved by anyone, as she did with the man that held her heart. She was convinced she would tear the world apart for him, as he would for her.
you once put your arm around me,
my head on your torso,
gentle heart, lulling me to peace.
we watched your favorite movie.
your hands held mine,
gently stroking, calming me.
The soft pitter-patter of nature's rain could be heard from within the house they shared. He was sprawled across their sofa, arms wrapped around the love of his life, hell, his power to live. She rested on top of him, the soft parts of her melting against the hard edges of him, head tucked into the crook of his neck. His favorite movie played in the background as they silently loved each other. His hands moved up and down her back as one of her hands clutched his bicep, the other nestled in his hair.
It seemed as if nothing could ruin that moment, nothing could ruin them. Unfortunately, most peace is short lived. Something was bound to go wrong on a job eventually- she just didn't think it would be so soon.
once all had been done
you told me
you didn't like me like that.
the threads of my heart
that you helped knot
fell apart.
drip....drop...drip...drop...
Juvia lifted her head upwards as the telltale sound of rain filled her head. Her eyes held pools of water as she stared up at the sky, a hole filling her chest when she realized it was her rain, pouring from the dark storm clouds. She vaguely noticed Lucy taking her hand, gently bringing her into a warm embrace. Gajeel, who was observing from afar, had a steel gaze pinned on Gray, murder in his eyes. Juvia didn't know what happened next, as she was led away from the Guild by Lucy and taken to Fairy Hills.
Juvia could only stare out her window, at the rain that had plagued the majority of her life. Mindlessly, her hands started sewing a teru teru bozu doll, one after the other. A knock on the door startled her, causing her to prick her finger. The sight of blood shocked her out of her daze, tears spilling down her face as she realized what happened. Gray told her he didn't love her anymore. She looked up and her eyes locked with Lucy and Erza's. In Lucy's hands, she could see warm soup and tea- naturally, Erza had strawberry cake with her. The sight of her caring friends brought more tears to her eyes- her cursed rain came back but her friends stayed.
without you,
i pulled them together.
tighter and tighter-
Several days passed, and countless visits from her friends helped heal her broken heart. Albeit slowly, the rain lessened until only the dark clouds remained. Juvia took a deep breath, inhaling the sweet smell of her tea. There were moments like this, where she was content and while everything wasn't right in the world, it was okay. She was okay.
why is it that one thought of you
can unravel the threads
i painstakingly sewed in?
There are still bad days. Days when she can't bring herself to go to the Guild and risk seeing him. Days when she remembers all the things he once did with her. The love he shared with her. Moments where the pain would overtake her and the rain would freely fall. Days where she would get mad, at his cowardice. At his fear of loving her.
that's okay.
i will continue to pull the threads back together
until the thought of you
does not leave my heart in pieces.
through the pain, the rain,
i will wait for you to come back to me
when you realize you can love me.
She knows he loves her still. Always has, always will, love her. She sees his longing stares, before guilt takes over and he turns away. She listens to the drunk voicemails he leaves her, as he mourns her love and their times together. He tells her he's not strong enough yet. So she'll wait. Juvia will wait for Gray to realize that he is already strong enough. That, while there have been close calls, he has yet to fail at saving her. Juvia will wait for the day Gray comes to his senses and realizes they're going to die anyways. She'll wait for him to realize that he can spend his days loving her, and she'll always be with him. It may not be tomorrow, or the day after that- but one day he'll come to his senses. And when that day comes, she'll be there- her arms open, and her heart bare.

I've been really into the concept of past lives recently, and I thought it would be really fun to post my take on the Haikyuu pairs, and past lives/historical au's. So here is some steamy, self indulgent T R A S H! This is going to be pretty flawed and there is definetly some movie references in here as well as some historical inaccuracies but I did my best. Also there are no happy endings because I thought that might be pretty unrealistic based on treatment of actual gay men in history.
TW: Suicide, Hate Crimes, Gun Violence
Iwaioi is obviously reminiscent of Alexander the Great and his "best bro"😏 Hephastion. Oikawa was the Grand King, destined for greatness from the moment he was born. Iwaizumi was born among corpses and dirt, exiled to Oikawa's kingdom, a twelfth son, useless. He lived as a lonely peasant, starving, until he joined the king's guard. He liked to tell himself he trained with Oikawa because he admired Oikawa's hard earned skill, and he believed that right up until he died at the end of the prodigy, Kageyama's blade. After intercepting a strike that would've inevitably killed the Great King. He falls, looking into Oikawa's shocked eyes, bright, and full of tears as he cradled Iwa to his chest. Iwaizumi merely sighed, still unable to touch the man he loved, lest he ruin his life by exposing his feelings. He dies to the violent, primal screams of his love, and he becomes distantly aware of a missed opportunity, as Oikawa's reciprocation of Iwaizumi's feelings becomes more obvious with each throat tearing wail. It's clear that he will die without Iwaizumi, but everyone already knew that.
Daisuga has just graduated in the summer of 1967, and they've been stealing moments with each other from the moment Suga transferred to Daichi's school sophomore year. And Daichi hated himself for it, he was quarterback, and he had the prettiest girl in school. So why was he so smitten with this nerd? This delicate pretty boy made his blood run hot and his heart skip. He was in love, and damn it if Suga hadn't made it obvious that he felt the same. Daichi had to put a stop to this before someone found out and it ruined his life. Suga heard it from a freshman, the handsome senior, Daichi was going to marry his girlfriend, Michimiya Yui. It made it so much easier to go to Vietnam when he won the draft lottery system. Daichi came to apologize only to find that Suga was gone. Forever. He wrote. Suga ignored it all. Daichi talked with Suga's mother every weekend hoping to collect any information he could, until the news finally broke, Koushi wasn't coming back from 'Nam. Daichi married Michimiya with an empty heart and dead eyes, the fact that they found Suga's corpse clutching one of Daichi's letters replaying in his mind as Michimiya read her vows. They had three kids, Daichi killed himself on what would've been Suga's fifty first birthday.
Kuroken has been side by side for years, Kenma serving as prohibition criminal Kuroo's right hand man. Kuroo has never shown interest in a woman, the rest of the gang doesn't say a word though their suspicious glances between him and Kenma speak volumes. And they're absolutely right, Kenma is everything short of a mob wife. All pretty hair and violent tendencies, Kenma values no one's life, not even his own, but he can't help but value Kuroo in a such a loving way. They die together, when everything falls apart and the feds are chasing them, bullets shatter the car, ripping everything but their hands apart. Those will stay intertwined forever.
Ushijima was okay with his job, he lived such a sparse simple life, and it was enough for him, the life of a holy man. Until he saw Satori, a young man no older than him, residing in a dark hole of the desolate mental facility he was blessing. The sisters merely dismissed him when he inquired as to why the man was in there in the first place. So he took upon himself to talk to the boy and get to the bottom of this. He didn't mean to fall in love with the beautiful, unhinged and unholy Tendo. He didn't mean to commit the ultimate sin, to forsake his faith, but he couldn't bring himself to regret feeling what he felt for Tendo. The only thing he actually regretted was never protecting Satori the way he wanted to. Never scooping his love in his arms and running away from that foul life. The tears that caught in his throat when he came to Tendo only to find him bald, scarred, and permanently empty, shook him to his core. They dug in his brain and ripped out everything dear to Ushijima, they tore a part that beautiful mind all because they couldn't understand it. Ushijima swallowed his tears, and mustered his courage, he was going to save Tendo now, even if it would cost him his soul. His big hands wrapped around Tendo's throat, and didn't release until Tendo's empty eyes went out. He died years later in a prison cell. Maybe he and Tendo could have each other, in the next life.
The village did not like Nishinoya, nor did his family. He for the life of him, could not be modest and quiet like the rest of the puritans. He did not go to church, nor did he read the gospel, he ran about in the woods, tricky and mysterious. The governor's son, Asahi, can't help but be entranced, he is a scholar after all. And he only follows Noya into the dark wood for "scholarly" purposes, he definetly wasn't thrilled when Noya pinned his large body against one of the dark twisty tree trunks deep within the wood. Asahi comes to two very troubling conclusions that night, the village was wrong, Noya was not a witch at all, and Azumane would never be able to keep himself away from Noya not matter the cost. It was over for them the moment they were discovered, Noya wrapped in Asahi's arms. The villagers convinced themselves that Asahi had been put under a curse by Yuu, despite Asahi's violent objections, and surprisingly brave declaration of love. Noya smiled softly as they touched the torch to his feet, and as the flames ate the innocent man up, Asahi screamed begging the whole village to burn him instead, Yuu was innocent take him instead. Asahi stayed only long enough to press a gentle kiss to Yuu's now burnt face, just to show the villagers their love was true and deep, not the by product of some cheap curse. While they were all in shock, he slipped into the dark wood, and never was heard from again.
Hinata considered it an insane stroke of luck when he secured a third class ticket aboard the ship of dreams, the Titanic. He bid his mother and Natsu farewell, hoping to secure a job in the new world, and make enough funds to secure them a passage to America one day. His shipmate is horrible though, all cold blue eyes and pompous attitude, until one night when Kageyama surprisingly offers Hinata a drink. Not wanting to refuse, they obviously get smashed drunk, and with pretty pink cheeks, Kageyama grabs Hinata's face gently. " i jus' think no guy should be so damn beautiful" kageyama whispers sleepily, and maybe it's the liquor, but Hinata doesn't hesitate to lean in and initiate a kiss. When Kageyama doesn't pull away, Hinata crawls into his lap. They fit like puzzle pieces and now Kageyama can't even imagine wanting to kiss anyone else. They make plans to take the new world on, learning fairly quick that they are stronger together. And then there's water and panic and Kageyama and Hinata are trying to rush a gate because Jesus, there are kids down there. Just because they are poor doesn't mean they deserve to die, but unfortunately someone seems to think otherwise, because the gate remains in place. They finally stop when the water is up to their waists, and a sad looking elderly woman tells them they've done what they could. Tearful children and somber mothers nod in agreement, and it is unsaid that they would go to their respective beds and try to rest so that they might go in their sleep. They lay together on the top bunk and even as the water slips above their heads and they begin to die, their arms hold tight, and Kageyama mouths one last "I love you" Hinata's fingers in his hair the last thing he feels.
Bokuto is in love with an heiress across the lake, he's never met her but is sure she is made for him. Akaashi is in love with a rich man right next to him, but that man sees Akaashi as no more than his lowley servant. Akaashi is in love with Bokuto, maybe that is why he involved himself in that horrible mess. He was always getting involved in horrible messes for Bokuto's sake. It was the height of Gatsby era glamor, and Bokuto, though he never did really like parties, was always throwing them, insisting Akaashi rather than work the parties, served as his right hand man. Akaashi always knew Bokuto was hoping he would meet his heiress at one of his parties, and if it made Bokuto happy, Akaashi hoped she would show up too, no matter how much it would hurt. And eventually she did, along with her husband, and she broke Bokuto's heart after a very miserable and short lived affair, for her it was nothing, but Bokuto always fell so hard and fast, he was distraught. Akaashi acted on instinct, pulling Bokuto into his arms no matter what line he was crossing, and smoothing his hair in attempt to sooth the crying man. Things became clear to Bokuto then. His tears ceased as he breathed in Akaashi's soft scent, wrapping his arm around the beautiful man's waist. They were in love then, finally on the same page for a blissful few months, until Bokuto's affair was made public, and he was found beaten to death in an alley. Despite all of his generosity and glamor in the past years, Akaashi and Kuroo were the only guests at Bokuto's funeral. Akaashi never recovered from the loss, he knew Bokuto wouldn't have wanted him to do it, but that didn't stop the smile on his face as he smashed the heiress beneath his tires.
Tsukishima had been protecting Yamaguchi for as long as he could remember, always getting in fights and taking beatings to protect his beautiful best friend. He knew boys weren't supposed to be pretty, he knew what happened to boys like Yamaguchi in the eighties, but that didn't ever stop him. Not even when Yamaguchi worked up all his courage and told Tsukki he loved him during their freshman year. Tsukki was angry at Yamaguchi for saying that, because he felt the same and he knew that he had to hide it if he wanted to survive. His controlled slipped for a second when Yamaguchi pressed their lips together gently, Tsukki allowed himself to dream one last time before he yanked himself away. He immediately began hurling slurs and abuse at Yamaguchi, things he knew would send the other boy running. And it did. But soon Kei felt an unexplainable urge to go after him, a sinking feeling that something horrible was gonna happen. Yamaguchi did not cry, he held his chin high, no matter how hard the boys hit him or cut him. He didn't care if he died but he wasn't gonna do it staring at his feet like a kicked puppy. Kei found him like that, full of fire and courage as he stared down his abusers. The love he felt made Kei's legs shake, and he knew he'd do whatever he could to save Yamaguchi. Yamaguchi smiled with too much glee for a dead man as Tsukki forced his way to his side, gripping his hand. There were eight of them, with murder in their eyes, Tsukki knew before he even got to Yamaguchi that they weren't making it out of this one.
Lev and Yaku find each other in 1700s France, Lev is a soft pretty boy, living a luxurious life in the aristocracy. Until he is thrown to the wolves after the loss of his parents, he is ten when he spends his first night on the street. He is nearly taken by a brothel right away, until he is saved by a particularly feisty thirteen year old street rat, Yaku is half his height but serves as his protector nonetheless. They pass the years protecting each other, growing to love each other, but never daring to hope for more than that. As many people in France were at the time disease riddled and starving, so were Yaku and Lev. Of course Yaku went first, he made it all the way to eighteen before he succumbed to his disease, clutching a crying Lev, comforting him even on his death bed. After that, Lev made the mistake of having hope, he joined the revolution in honor of Yaku. He just wanted to make the world a better place, a place where Yaku could've survived. He died bleeding from a soldier's bullet on a barricade, but he was warm, all he saw was Yaku, holding him, carrying him into their next life.
Yahaba always talks and Kyoutani might be always listening, but it's hard to tell. Until Kyoutani murders his whole family in 1978. He shows up at the gas station him and Yahaba always have their one sided coversations at to find Yahaba working the counter like he always is. He ignores Yahaba's greeting and begins frantically explaing his situation and motive, all while Yahaba looks on in shock, this is the first time Kyoutani has ever spoken to him. When he asks why Kyoutani is telling him all this, he simply sighs dismissively and says "you're my bestfriend", and that's enough for Yahaba. Clearly he's crazy, a cute boy he's never spoken with is in the back of his car and they're leaving the country. All because Kyoutani actually was listening and not only that, he viewed Yahaba as the most important person in his life. They had been in love from the first one sided conversation they had, and that was becoming clear now. They get caught, sent to different facilities, Kyoutani gets life, Yahaba gets a lighter sentence for being an accomplice. Though they never see each other again, Yahaba always writes letters, and for once, Kyoutani writes back. They spend their lives finally having a two sided conversation, their love never even flickers, and for them, that's enough.

| ROMEO, ROMEO, WHY ARE YOU ROMEO? | A Rowen One-shot | Fairy Tail |
Ships: Wendy Marvel x Romeo Conbolt
Tag list: @primaverafrog @luna-chan00 @biorckstudios18 @animaration-fts @cxndy-stxrs Excuse my horrible writing, I'm super drowsy coz of meds😅
Fairy Hills was the prettiest apartment ever (but maybe she was biased because she lived there) Wendy was currently out on her balcony, legs propped on the arms of her chaise and admiring the lovely hedge walls she'd help trim (Erza-nee got a little too excited with the hedge-scissors)
"I still can't believe you did that," Chelia guffawed.
Wendy replayed last week's events in her mind, wincing yet again.
...........
Working at Fairy Tail was like a dream come true. Wendy had come upon it by chance when her old Academy shut down without any warning. She blamed herself for what'd happened and was this close to giving up on theatre and dancing when Erza-nee decided to intervene.
"Work on that spin ONE MORE TIME! MORE PASSION!" Erza yelled, wielding the script as if it were a sword. (She might be scary at times, but Onee-san meant well.)
Chelia harrumphed through the call. "This is taking foreverrrrr."
"Chelia, you've been playing Among us for 2 hours." Wendy sighed, "You're one to talk about taking long."
"But I WANT TO TAKE YOU TO THIS CUTE CAFÈ!! WITH CATS!!"
"Half an hour moreee." The bluenette groaned. "Plus I still can't get this spin right!"
"Ah, that's why you've been working so hard," Wendy did not like how smug her friend sounded. "Isn't this the part where you meet the Soldier?"
Of course! Chelia, as her 'Official best-friend and Matchmaker!' would never rest until she found "love".
Unfortunately for her, Wendy, as a rule, was usually unbothered by romance of any sort.
It wasn't like she hated the idea; she found it quite adoreable that her friends growing up found 'their lobsters'. Some had their heart broken but they still tried with all they had, a fact that made it really hard to hate romance. (She was saying 'romance' way too much, wasn't she?)
The point was, she just didn't think she? was? a? well-suited? romantic? partner? In pre-school, the idea of a prince riding on a white horse and carrying her away made her:
A: Nauseous, because well, motion-sickness.
B: Wary, because "Porly-san said that if a stranger was to ever talk to her, she had to use the pepper spray in the left corner pocket of her backpack and if that didn't work, Erza-nee's pocket-knife would do just fine!" (Her teacher almost fainted that day.)
Well that and she'd never had a relationship to begin with, ever.
Crushes, sure. She'd had a few over the years. But considering her lack of courage? Or maybe it was the combined elder brother influence of Natsu-nii, Gajeel-nii and Erza-nee that scared away most boys. (Her last crush was scarred for his life....)
And it wasn't like she had time for it too, considering her full-time job at Fairy Tail.
She was daydreaming again. Moving on....
She deadpanned, "Yes. That's the only reason I need to get this right. Not because the entirety of Magnolia will watch it."
"Glad to know!" Chelia clapped her hands gleefully. "Now, as Ooba san says, 'SPIN MY LOVELIES!!" And she cut the call.
The bluenette was a little worried about her new partner. Practice for the new play had begun 3 weeks ago and there was no sight of him (or her, Erza refused to divulge any details...) Apparently they were from another Academy and were joining practice tomorrow. And despite herself, Wendy really really wanted to prove herself to them.
Being the youngest didn't mean she was any less talented than the others, and she'd be damned if she gave anyone any reason to prove otherwise.
"NOW FROM THE TOP!!"
Wendy spun back and forth on her feet and as the beat began playing, she twirled and reached her hand out in a grabbing motion-
Anndddd she just punched a guy in his face.
"SHIT!!"
"FUCK, I'M SORRY!!"
.............
Her new partner, Romeo (Romeo from theatre, lol) insisted he was fine and that it was his fault for interrupting her routine. He also complimented her punch (Who does that?!!)
Or maybe he really wanted her to stop crying. (He had a nose-bleed!! She caused it!!! Was that not reason enough to cry?!)
She sniffled. "BUT SERIOUSLY, ARE YOU ALRIGHT?! CAN I GET YOU ANOTHER BAG OF ICE?! I'M SO SO SORR-"
Romeo broke into a fit of laughter, making her blush (His laughter sounded like chiming bells. Was she even supposed to get attracted to partner's voices that way?)
Once his laughter subsided, a boyish smirk stretched lazily across his face at her pout.(Dear Mavis, he looked so pretty....)
"Romeo, at your service, ma'am!" He kissed the back of her hand. (Did she accidentally punch herself too? Was this all a hallucination?)
She spluttered, "U-uh Hi Wendy! SHIT," she dragged a hand across her face, making him chortle again, "I'm Wendy!"
................
The bluenette grumbled, "It's been 2 days, get over it."
"Nahhhh. I think I'll just let you drown in embarrassment for a few weeks," Her best friend swung her legs from where she was seated on the window ledge. "Ohhhh Ohhhh cute boy alert!"
"Uh-huh, sure," Wendy was too busy petting her kitten to pay her friend any attention.
"Anywho, how's the practice coming along? Is it awkward now between you two?" Chelia teased. Wendy gave a deadpan look and stroking Carla's fur, she mumbled, "We went out for lunch yesterday."
"WENDY MARVELL!!"
"CHELIA BLENDY!!! MY EARS!!!"
"Sorry," Chelia blushed. "Why the heck didn't you tell me this GODDANGIT?!!"
"Well uh." It was now Wendy's turn to blush. "I-"
"Cute guy keeps cycling past us. I think he's looking at you." Chelia commented with a raised eyebrow.
"Wait what?" Wendy tilted her head toward the wall separating Fairy Hills and the garden. Which is when her eyes met his own.
And Romeo, fair Romeo, crashed into the hedges.
..........
Both girls flinched. Wendy jumped off her seat and rushed downstairs, ignoring Chelia's surprised yelling.
"What are you doing here?!" She squeaked.
"We have got to stop meeting like this," Romeo groaned from where he was sprawled on the ground, "It's really not good for my lifespan and my ego."
Despite herself, she let out a giggle. "Get up, you...." Helping him up and dusting the weeds off his shoulders, she sighed. "You live nearby?"
"Well...."
"Do I even wanna know what you were doing cycling around here?" She rested her hand on her hip and raised a brow at his now perplexed expression. "Go on, I have all day."
"I was visiting a friend and uh, saw you at your balcony and wanted to say hi?" He scratched his neck, now colored pink. "I'm sorry if I made you uncomfortable."
She huffed, "What am I going to do with you?" He looked at her with his little puppy dog-eyes (Drat. Foiled again!) and she gave in and smiled. "Let's get you cleaned up."
........
Seven minutes later, Romeo was sitting on her bed petting Carla, who'd taken a liking to him and ganging up on Wendy with Chelia.
"And the next second, she marches up to him and goes 'Excuse me, sir. But my friend wants a picture of your face. S-wait, WITH your face. FUCK, I MEAN WITH YOU!!' " Both were smacking the bed and laughing like there was no tomorrow.
Wendy groaned, her face buried in her hands, "Getting you two together was a bad idea."
"Aww, look at the widdle bluebug." Romeo teased.
"Cute, ain't she?" Chelia cheered. "So, when's the wedding?"
Pause.
"C-CHELIA!!"
"U-UM W-WEDDING?"
Chelia had a smug look on her face that Wendy did not like. "Well duh. You're his Juliet and he's your Peter Pan. Perfect, ain't it?!" She clapped her hands in delight.
Wendy felt like she was in a sauna with the way her face was heating up. One look at Romeo and she knew he felt the same.
"WHO RUINED MY PRECIOUS STRAWBERRIES?!!" A voice bellowed.
Chelia rushed to the window and turned to look at both with a pale face. "Uh oh, Titania's angry."
Romeo was visibly confused and scared for his life. Wendy felt faint.
"Haha, gotta go now guys! Bye Wen!" Chelia escaped through the door before Wendy could register her words.
"WHAT KIND OF FRIEND ARE YOU?!"
"The kind that doesn't want to die!" Her voice echoed from where she was downstairs. Damn it.
She locked gazes with Romeo. "I'll go assess the damage. You stay right there."
Romeo nodded.
She tiptoes into the garden, only to find Erza wielding a katana and looking deadly as ever.
"E-Erza-nee?"
The red-head turned to look at her with a menacing aura. Wendy gulped.
"What-what happened?" She dared ask.
"My precious strawberries are ruined." (Sure enough, the bush was uprooted. Oh dear.) Erza pointed at Romeo's bike with her katana. "The culprit will return for their bike and when they do, I WILL END THEM!!"
Well, there went any chance of negotiations. O-okay Erza-nee. I'll be upstairs if you need me."
Romeo had an eager look on his face when she returned. "So? What's the status?"
"Romeo," she stated calmly, "I mean this in the nicest way possible. You're dead."
He blanked. "Shit."
..........
"Operation: Run Romeo Run begins now, what's your status Little Boy Blue?" Wendy whispered through her earpiece. (Warren had given her a set for emergency situations.)
"In position, Tinker bell," Romeo's voice echoed through the other end. "You may begin!"
"ERZA-NEE, I MADE YOU SOME CAKE!!"
Sure enough, Erza rushed into the kitchen like her life depended on it, "Which kind?!!"
"Operation Stage 2 is a go, Boy Blue!" She whispered.
"This is DELICIOUS, Wendy!!" Erza nodded proudly. "I'll take it with me!'"
"NO!!!"
Erza narrowed her eyes suspiciously, "Why?"
"Be-because," Wendy stuttered, "I want to practice that spin once again!"
"Wendy," Erza grabbed her by her shoulders, "Dance hours are over. As a young girl, you must try socialising with your peers instead of practicing day and night. You'll tire yourself."
"I've reached the garden," Romeo said. "Is stage 3 a go?"
She hummed. Of course, both didn't anticipate-
"INTRUDER!! KILL MODE!!!" A siren rang in the distance and Wendy gulped.
She faintly registered a yelp from her earpiece.
Erza let out a war-cry and stalked outside.(Poor, poor Romeo) "THE INTRUDER IS HERE!! GET HIM!!"
Wendy shuddered, "RUN ROMEO RUN!!"
"I'M TRYING!!!" He squeaked, "SHE LOOKS LIKE SHE'S GOING TO KILL ME!!"
"COME HERE AND FIGHT ME LIKE A TRUE WARRIOR, YOU FIEND!!!" Erza bellowed.
She leaned towards the window and watched as Erza chased Romeo (He was riding a bicycle and yet Erza was gaining in on him.)
"If I ever get out of this alive," Romeo groaned, "Would you go out with me?"
Wendy was grinning when she said, "Someone's gotta keep an eye on you, anyway."

i never would have thought // CH.08
WRITTEN PORTION
It had been approximately 2 hours since (Y/n) had sat down atop her bed to send a quick text back to Tsukishima. She’d never anticipated to receive such a quick reply, but subsequently the pair had launched into a heated debate about the proper categorical standing of a hotdog; aka if it was actually a sandwich or not. The discussion lasted so long that she’d eventually sprawled out onto her bed, on her stomach, and moved to dangle her feet over the edge. Every once in a while, when one of them would send a meme or make a snarky remark (Y/n) would erupt in a fit of giggles, her feet kicking up in glee.
“Hey (Y/n), Mom asked why you haven’t taken a bath yet?” Shoyo said, cracking her bedroom door open and poking his head inside. (Y/n) didn’t bother to look up from her phone.
“I’m going.” Her voice was unfocused and far. Shoyo‘s nose scrunched in response.
“Well it’s like 8, Natsu’s bedtime is in like 30 minutes, and the shower will make too much noise.” This time he spoke a little louder, opening the door further in hopes of garnering more attention.
“Okay, I’m going.” (Y/n) smiled down at her phone, typing vigorously as a light giggle escaped her throat.
“Who are you texting?”
“No one.”
“Is it Tsukishima?”
There was a beat of silence as (Y/n) continued to tap at her phone's screen.
“No.”
Shoyo narrowed his eyes, he could smell a lie on (Y/n) a mile away. Quietly, he made his way to her bedside before peaking over her shoulder.
“Ahhh HA!” He proclaimed, placing his hands on her shoulders and leaning over her, “I kNEW you were texting him!”
(Y/n)’s cheeks flared as she glared up at her cousin, shoving him off her shoulders. Consequently, Shoyo stumbled back and off the bed, landing to sit on the floor at (Y/n)’s bedside. He leaned back to rest his weight on his palms and ran a hand through his hair, sighing at his cousin's erratic behavior.
“(Y/n) you’d tell me if there was something going on between you two right?”
(Y/n) froze, finally placing her phone down and looking over at Shoyo, wide eyed.
“Of course!” She proclaimed matter of factly, “Why wouldn’t I?”
Shoyo’s own cheeks grew warm and he lowered his gaze, seeming as if he had something on the tip of his tongue. Rather than try and push (Y/n) only stared expectantly. After a long silence, Shoyo sighed and let out a small laugh. He looked back up at his cousin, expression faltering before a playful smirk pulled across his lips.
“And you’re sureee nothings going on between you and bean pole?” He teased, leaning forward and cocking a brow.
(Y/n) rolled her eyes, a blush flaring across her face for only for a moment. She threw a pillow at his face.
“Yes, idiot. We’re just friends.” She huffed, picking up her cellphone once more.
“Aww you’re even starting to sound like him~” Hinata chuckled, throwing the pillow back onto the bed, “If you guys are just friends why do you always act so weird around him?”
“What do you mean?! I act totally normal around Sucky-shima!!” She defended incredulously, whipping her head back to Shoyo.
“I mean when you’re talking about him or when I talk about him.” Shoyo clarified, stopping to eye his cousin cautiously before continuing.
“You always look so…. tense.” Shoyo finally finished, leaning forward to lay his chin atop his knees that had come to press against his chest. (Y/n)’s brows furrowed in response, averting her eyes she bit down on her lip and sat in silence for a while.
“He just makes me… nervous.. because I always thought he kind of hated me..” She finally breathed out, meeting Shoyo’s empathetic gaze. He frowned and stood up, sitting beside (Y/n) and placing a comforting hand on her back.
“Baby, he doesn’t hate you, he never has.” Shoyo reassured, voice low and soft.
“I know but I’m just so scared because I’m really trying hard to get along with everyone and I don’t want to accidentally make him hate me so I get nervous and act all.. whaaaa!” (Y/n) wailed, stuffing her face into the pillow beneath her.
“I hate it here” She yelled, the volume being muffled by the soft cloud cradling her features.
“Why don’t you just treat him like any other friend?” Shoyo tried, rubbing slow circles into her back as he spoke. He paused when (Y/n) shifted her weight onto her side and turned to face up at him.
“What do you mean?”
“Well he is just another friend to you… right?” He paused, giving her a moment to make a correction.
“Right.” She agreed, after realizing the question wasn’t hypothetical.
“So just remember that and act as if you were talking to Yamaguchi or Noya-Senpai, or even Yachi!” Shoyo proclaimed, flashing her a grin. (Y/n)’s eyes softened and she smiled back meekly.
“Yeah… I guess you’re right. If we’re just friends I have nothing to worry about so I shouldn’t be psyching myself out like that.” She glanced down at her phone, smile growing “Thanks Shoyo! That actually really helped!”
“You say that as if you’re surprised!” Shoyo gawked, holding his chest as if he’d just been shot. (Y/n) only hummed in response, returning to the conversation still occurring on her screen. Shoyo puffed his cheeks at the lack of response, she sure could be a pain in the ass. Taking a page from Daichi, he reached forward and snatched the phone out of her hands, before darting out of her room.
“You can have it back after you shower!” He called back, running into his own bedroom and holding the door closed as (Y/n) tried to barge her way in. She was practically barking at this point, slamming her hands against the door repeatedly.
“Shoyo nO FAIR!”
“YeS FAIR! IT’s aLREADY 8:15!!” He called back, shifting to lean his back against the door.
“God damnit FINE.” (Y/n) fumed, alleviating the pressure she’d placed on the door. Shoyo sighed in relief.
“Kids, language!” They heard a far away voice call.
After a grumbled apology, (Y/n) finally walked away from Shoyo’s door and made her way to the shower.

Underneath the Same Starry Sky
Tumblr media
My piece for the @fairytailcharityfanzine 💜 we can now share it, please enjoy!
Nalu Reflective piece that takes place during the one year hiatus, focusing on Natsu’s feeling during his training, and Lucy.
Every single muscle in Natsu’s body ached worse than being electrocuted by one of Laxus’ lightning bolts.  His joints screamed like a banshee if he even thought about moving an inch for the rest of the night and he prayed that come morning’s light he could get up to do it all again.  The training routine he’d carved out for himself was ten times harder than anything he’d ever attempted before, but it’s a necessary evil and one that numbed his mind to the reasons behind its mission.  Tartaros was a wake-up call.  A proverbial slap to the ego that brought the mighty Fairytail guild to its knees.  Sure, they won the battle, but at a substantial cost.
He couldn’t afford to lose like that again.  Not when there were so many things at stake.
But tonight, there’s nothing more he can do except lie on his bedroll staring up at the sky.  If someone attacked him now in such a vulnerable state, they might win.  He doubted it.  Even the locals steered clear of the mountain he’d chosen.  Too afraid of the rumors of a crazy fire wielding man who could shake the very bedrock beneath their feet.  No, tonight it’s just him, Happy, and that sky.  A beautiful expanse of darkened heavens with no clouds to dampen its effects.
Ugh!  Nights like this were the hardest.  Each time he opened his eyes and gazed upon those twinkling stars his partner would drift into his mind and throw it back into chaos.  Lucy…. The golden queen who reigns over the celestial world, adored by her spirits, loved by her friends, and treasured by his truly.
Everything he did was to protect the ones he loved.  And above all, her.
Just thinking about the attractive blonde sent a strange flutter through his core.  Natsu wasn’t immune to the desires created in any hot-blooded male when seeing such an attractive female.  But she’s different, special, not something treated like arm-candy or tied down by anyone unless of her own choosing.  Besides, he didn’t feel worthy of her attention.  Not yet.  Maybe one day, but not until he could truly safeguard her future, even from his own demons.  Besides, there’s still much to do.  It’s only his second month and already the drain on his mind, body, and soul pushed him to his limits.  But Natsu’s no quitter.  Once he set his heart on something, he would move all of Earthland to see it through.  Things would get easier over time as his body adapts to the training, so until then, no pain, no gain, and a blonde waiting at the end of this goal.
‘I really wish you were here Igneel…. Too many questions I never got the answer to….  Even new ones on things I don’t quite know what to do with.’  Natsu lets out an audible exhale.  ‘I miss you….  It’s like a huge part of me’s gone and I know I’ll never get it back.  Will that empty feeling ever go away?’  His eyes close for a moment as he remembers the pain of watching the fight between Igneel and Acnologia.  He’d held out so much hope that Igneel would win, only to have that faith dashed against the rocks like a ship, wrecking along the shore.  It was at that point, when Natsu felt like the small child again, alone and lost in the forest before Makarov had found and taken him to Fairytail.  He’d promised Igneel to keep growing, to keep looking towards the future, and he will.  He will get stronger!  But such pain and sense of initial loss from his childhood had never fully gone away, just sidetracked once he’d met Lucy.
Again, with Lucy.  That day in Hargeon was the last time Natsu’d gone off on his own in search of Igneel.  Was that meaningful?  It had to be.  How else could one person, who he’d just met, unconsciously change his course in life if it didn’t have some major significance?  What would Igneel have said about her?  ‘Who am I kidding, he would love Lucy!  I bet he would tease me about her if he were here….  I know she would have liked him too….’  She would never be a replacement for his adoptive dragon father, but… ‘Lucy fills some void.’  A concept he couldn’t deny any longer.
This training mission was the longest they’d been apart since, well, the day they met.  It’s a little weird, Natsu would admit, and he missed her along with all of his friends.  He wondered what they’re up to.  Are they rebuilding the guild hall right now?  Probably to be even bigger or better than before.  ‘Yeah…. It’s gonna be so nice to see it again!’  He should have stayed to help them rebuild, but this is more important.  ‘So, we don’t lose the next time!’  Did Gray miss their fighting, because he kind of did.  He loved to rile that ice queen up!  ‘I’m sure they’re all doing fine.’
But to take the power left to him by Igneel, he needed to strengthen his reserves and that took time.  He really didn’t understand how long he would be away for.  It could be months or even years; hopefully not the latter.  Mastering this new secret art is his primary focus and he couldn’t go back until he’d attained it.  It was his hidden weapon against his brother and it just needed to be perfect.
Long blistering days had turned into weeks.  Laborious weeks dragged into months and as each one passed the physical pain had morphed into an emotional toll.  Now five months into his training, Natsu sometimes lost track of time itself, and it was only with Happy’s help that he knew how long he’d been at this.  The cheerleading Exceed made sure they had food or other provisions because the slayer would forget.  Even his hair was now past his shoulder blades, but he tied it back when it got in his way.
Though it wasn’t all that bad, he’d made a lot of progress and was sure that it wouldn’t be too much longer till he could return home.  So, after another long day and a meal of roasted wild bird, Natsu submerges himself up to his neck in a nearby hot pond.  It was one of the few reasons he’d chosen this semi-isolated location.  The broiling waters were a bit too hot for any normal humans, but for a fire dragon slayer, something perfectly suited to soothe away his aches, and maybe some of his anguish.  Lately a few of Zeref’s parting words, “to kill or let live,” were toying with his mind.  “The one to reach me will be you or END…”  He still didn’t fully understand it.  Igneel also told him not to look at the END book.  But why not?  Who is this END person?!  “And what the hell did Zeref mean by passing to me, an even greater despair?!”  Regardless of not understanding, the message was clear.  Trouble was coming.
The steaming waters were making him sleepy, but he wasn’t ready to let it take him yet.  He just need to hash out these thoughts so he could move on because if he couldn’t, then he wouldn’t be able to focus on his training.  To concentrate the residual power, he needed a clear mind.  A long exhale escapes and Natsu closes his eyes.  Killing wasn’t the Fairytail way, so that wasn’t something Natsu even wanted to consider.  There had to be another solution, but it was difficult to figure out what that could be since he didn’t even know who or what this enemy was.  From the scant information they’d given him, END was the most powerful demon Zeref had ever created, one that not even Igneel could defeat.  That meant END could be his most formidable opponent to date, aside from maybe Acnologia.
Acnologia…  all the hairs along his arm tingle.  The evil dragon born of a by-gone slayer era, is another problem that needed solving.  How were they supposed to defeat a dragon that other dragons were afraid of?  He remembered the quaking fear that all the slayers and dragons felt when Acnologia showed up.  Everyone’s panic and trembling emotions were palpable.  That vile creature had disappeared once more, but he’ll no doubt, show up at the worst time.  “Argh!”  Another beautiful part of being in the middle of nowhere, Natsu could scream all he wanted to.  He relaxes his eyelids, letting the feeling of the steam envelop his senses.
Words unspoken passed between them as he hung his head whilst the tears flowed, and snot dripped.  Lucy held on tight, her arms wrapped around his middle, her face buried in the crook of his back like she’d done the night they’d defeated future Rogue.  Despite his promises to Igneel, Natsu’s heart had shattered and needed to fit back together like a jigsaw puzzle.  He was thankful that Lucy didn’t prod, just allowed him to feel, to process, like she just knew he would come out of this.  Her silent support meant so much to him, and she didn’t even know it.
“Can we just go home?” he whispers under his breath.  “I’m tired.”
Lucy nods and moves to let go, but Natsu places his hand on her arm.  “To your apartment, just for tonight?  I’d… rather not be alone right now.”
“Sure, Natsu.”
It was one of the rare occasions that Lucy didn’t kick him out of bed.  Maybe she was too tired.  After a shower, Natsu crawls under the covers.  Her calming scent of strawberry cream providing him some satisfaction, a reassurance that he wasn’t alone, and reminded him he still had a lot to live for.  And as his eyes close, the vision of her sleeping form, so peaceful, sends him off into a dreamless, yet fitful slumber.
When light filtered through his closed lids the following morning, Natsu opens them to a fully awakened mind despite the pitiful amount of sleep he’d gained.  Through the night, Lucy had latched onto his side, keeping him pinned to his back.  She sighs, mumbling at his minute movements, before licking her lips and drifting away again clutched to his arm.  He exhales, turning to his side to gaze upon her better.  ‘Lucy…’ Natsu sweeps away some tendrils that had fallen over her eyes.  ‘How am I to protect her when I couldn’t even save my father?  How can I protect any of my friends from the dangers coming call?’  It wasn’t a matter of if he could, but a must.  He places a kiss upon her slightly furrowed brow.  ‘I promise you Lucy.  I swear on Igneel I will protect you at any cost!’
Even though he’d decided that morning to leave on a training quest, he just couldn’t tell her, not in person knowing the pain it might stir back up for both of them.  All he could hope for a week later when he clutched the letter in his hand, that she would understand.  “Wait for me,” he whispers as he places the letter on her coffee table…
Natsu opens his eyes.  Ugh, why was he dreaming about that now?  He twists his body in the steaming waters to rest his head on his arms on the edge.  How long had he fallen asleep for?  Couldn’t have been long since the position of the moon had only shifted slightly.  Maybe he was feeling a little guilty for leaving that letter the way he had.  It was a copout.  ‘Yeah…’ he sighs, ‘she deserved better from me, but I just couldn’t face her.’  Too late now to do anything about it.
It was almost over; he runs his hand over the new tattoo on his arm, reminiscing about the last 8 months.  All the power condensed in his body thrummed like a child excited to play with their new toy.  But it would have to wait and lay dormant for now.  Until the time was right, behind the symbols it shall remain.  This whole journey was one of self-recovery, through down-right struggles of the heart and mind.  So, unleashing the full power of the Fire Dragon King too early would be a waste of all that he’d fought to attain.  And that was okay, for through this self-discovery Natsu had become a lot stronger.  The control over his element was down to pinpoint accuracy, and whether as a stream of fire or as a conflagration, it was all by his manipulation.  He was giddy about showing this off and according to Happy, the perfect opportunity was coming up in just two months.  All the more reason for him to buckle down and finish his training.
Lucy had hoped some of her friends would attend the games, even just to watch but no one did.  It was sad to think, ‘I’ve been looking this entire year…’ she breaks down against the wall filled with all the information she’d dug up on her ex-guildmates.  She knew where some were, while others…  Sigh, ‘Still nothing on Natsu.’  There’d been wild rumors that could be him.  Nothing concrete and they were always stories passed along from a friend of a friend.  But it was enough to comfort her sometimes, to know they were still under the same starry skies.  Ugh!  Lucy missed them all so much.  “Well, no point in crying about it tonight,” she laments to Plue.  Tomorrow was the finals, and she needed her sleep.  Lucy steals away to her bed and lets happier dreams bring her solace.
Ten grueling months has passed by, but they’d made it!  The sun had yet to rise, but the pair arrived just in time to see the last day of the Grand Magic Games tournament.  Natsu turns his nose to the wind, scenting from atop a hill overlooking the large city of Crocus. “Happy, I think Lucy is here!”
“But, why would she be here?” the Exceed queries.  “Could she be here for the games?”
“Probably.  We should look for her as soon as we can!”
“I thought you’re gonna challenge the winners?”
“Oh right,” Natsu smirks, “Imma go kick their asses and you look for her.”
“Aye sir!!”
Morning’s light came and Lucy already knew it wouldn’t be very exciting.  The games only stirred up more pain from the loss of her friends and Fairytail, so it took a lot of self-motivation just to care.  Sure, there were exciting moments during the tournament but nothing like the year they won.  All the big guilds, their friends, no one took part this year saying it wasn’t worth it without Fairytail to compete against.  Lucy couldn’t blame them.  She takes one last longing glance at her wall and heads out the door.
‘Such a farce…’ Lucy stood there in the press box bored out of her mind.  Sure, Jason was excited after she’d pointed out Scarmiglione’s plan not only to win but to rake it in with the brokers.  Odds of 100 to 1 would pay out handsomely for anyone that bet on their win.  To her it was cheating and a blight on the games.  But no one had even noticed what they were doing.  Sad.  Then again, with none of the more powerful guilds in attendance, she guessed there wasn’t anyone around who could sense their true power levels except for her.  Surprise, surprise, she rolls eyes.  The crowds all jump to their feet when Scarmiglione’s last opponent falls, but Lucy is just happy it’s over.
But what’s this?  A rumbling murmur filters through the crowds.  She and Jason look over and see a heavily cloaked man walking into the arena.  Who is that?  What is this?!  So much power!  The hairs on her neck stand on edge.  “Evacuate the arena….” She cries out, but…  “Eh!”  The power and heat radiating off of the figure is burning her top off!  “Kiyah!”  Her arms frantically wrap around her bust, forgetting all about the danger.  As the smoke clears enough to see, she sees the culprit.  Her eyes widen.  “Natsu?!!!”
Screams of his name bounce around her.  Everyone is excited to see the slayer!
“Long time no see, Lucy!!!”
She turns around to see the flying Exceed.  “Happy?!!  What are you doing here?”
The other participants rush out to challenge Natsu but when his power and heat spikes even higher, they turn tail and run, screaming monster.  How hot does his power get?!  This was a lot stronger than she remembered him to be!
The Exceed chuckles, “Natsu always tends to overdo things.”
But by then Lucy had stopped paying attention to the chaos going on around her.  The stadium was melting, members of Scarmiglione were out cold on the arena floor.  And all she could do was stare at the man she’d been wanting to see for so long.  It was really him and not a figment of her imagination!  A deluge of emotions floods her mind so quickly that there is no processing any of it.  Happiness, sadness, anger, nothing.  It was simply, in shock.
With the rest of the challengers running in fear, Natsu finally realizes something.  He looks up and they lock eyes for a moment.  So fired up from his entrance, he’d almost forgotten she was here.
“Yo!” his grin so wide it covers from ear to ear.  “Been a while, huh?  Lucy!”
Same old Natsu, she sighs, what had she expected?  With a crinkle of her eyes and a softening of her expression.  “How’ve you been?”

Hey have another meta on Gray & Natsu because I don't think I went deep enough.
Gray is traumatized and can't even voice his emotions sometimes. Natsu understands him WITHOUT any issues even during this time.
Don't believe me? Here look at this:
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Natsu knows Gray just basically said:
" I care about you please take care of yourself "
I'm so emotional about these two because they are great and they understand each other on a deeper wavelength than I have ever seen within Fairy Tail.
I'll throw in multiple examples for you to compare but please come up with your own. Rewatch the show or Read the manga if you want to, there's so many examples that I cannot fit into one post so I have to suffer with a few. (Not including Happy has I think it's best to put people that aren't his kid,,,,)
First up: Lisanna.
I'm not hating on the ship at all. I'm picking people CLOSEST to Natsu & Gray. And she was essentially close to Natsu before her death. They raised Happy together and had a secret hideout for fucks sake.
Lisanna has I recall from the episodes we had of her, was close with Natsu. But something changed. Because her death hurt Natsu and changed him into a different person. That's clear to see. But her death drove a wedge between them and changed the entire relationship for good.
Lisanna was Natsu's friend, back before her death but however I believe that we do not know much of her outside of her death and how it affected Fairy Tail. We also do know about her Family and how it hurt them. But not about Lisanna, from what we can gather from the many episodes of Fairy Tail she is kind hearted and genuinely loves her family and doesn't want to lose them again. (Her reactions to her siblings being thrown into danger.)
But again her death drove fear and grief into Natsu and that's why him and Lisanna aren't exactly close anymore, because Natsu runs from his feelings. It's also hard to talk to someone you haven't seen since you where a teenager.
Up next who is/was close with Gray: Erza. We know Gray ran after her and helped to fix her tears, even making a child's promise about it. We also know, Gray was Erza's first real friend. Gray has a child was close with Erza in that regard. I do believe Erza shoved him away like she does with everything in response to what happened to her. (But that's a post for another time.)
Gray is still close with Erza, but due to Erza never feeling as if she can stop being Titania he is not as close to her as he is Natsu.
Lucy, who is one of Natsu's best friends, is actually close with Natsu. But unlike with Gray Natsu usually is (Ignoring Mashima's horrible writting between for now because that's a WHOLE OTHER issue) saving her or protecting her. At least it was like that until recently when Lucy finally got the character development and upgrade she deserves.
Lucy is close to Natsu but Natsu also doesn't want to lean on her. Yes you can qoute multiple instances and scenes where it appears he is leaning on her. But however with this you have to take into account the period of time Natsu has known her. The trust issues Natsu already has and previous trauma he has gotten and even new trauma!
Now it gets worse because this is dipping a little into Mashima's terrible characterization and understanding of how people function and feel. Especially women. Take Lisanna and Lucy, if you think about it they are essentially the same fucking character. Both are kind, stubborn, where hurt by someone they love, left their home behind for a number of years, painted has a badass while also simultaneously being soft and delicate.
Sound familar?
Because that's basically the Mashima guide to write a female character. Now what really gets me is the final thing that really cements it. They both have been/are in the supporting role for Natsu. Don't you dare go saying: But Lucy is the main character!
You, like the rest of is because Mashima wrote her like shit, didn't even know that until the interview or you saw that Fairy Tail fact post. The majority of us thought it was Natsu. Because in reality Mashima did NOT start writting her like a main character. He did not give her the good motivation every single damn Fairy Tail Character has.
Lucy & Lisanna have the same number of things that make up their characterization, and yes so do a number of Fairy Tail characters. But that's not the point. The point is that Lucy reminds Natsu of Lisanna in some ways and Natsu cannot bring himself to trust and lean on her fully like he can with Gray. It is not an attack on Nalu. Nalu is a fine ship if only written correctly (aka: Not Mashima's Version Which Is Horrible And Toxic But That's Another Meta For Another Time.).
This is a post about how Gray and Natsu are close. That's it. Natsu cannot bring himself to fully trust Lucy and lean on her comfortably without 1) forcing himself, 2) it happening outside of his control because of past trauma which by the way knowing Natsu he did not do anything about it and most likely bottled it up.
Wow that was a long session on Lucy but in summary: Natsu is traumatized and is not mentally healthy like the entirety of the Guild.
Now, the last one, which I'm sure you can GUESS. It's Juvia. Because some people think that Gray and Juvia are the " closest people! " And " he doesn't let anyone really touch him other than her! "
1) Bullshit. And 2) Bullshit. Here's why:
Juvia is a toxic character who stalks and uncomfortably idolizes Gray to the point it's fucking ridiculous. There are multiple scenes of her following (stalking) Gray around and being jealous of Lucy. Even declaring her a " Love Rival ".
This is probably because: Gray was the first person that was decent to her. (She was bullied for who knows how long and involved in a toxic guild + an abusive relationship.) Before you say shit about Gajeel: He's not nice. Gajeel before all of this, was an asshole, now he is nice which is pretty cool and a great character development. Back then? He was not nice.
Which brings me to Gray. Who even is okay with being stalked, being grabbed randomly and having someone so obsessed with you they made fucking dolls of you? No one. Before you argue: But he doesn't pull away from her!
Gray is most likely touch starved. Considering his entire background and general tendency to not receive hugs or any sort of affection usually. My evidence for this? Myself. I am touch starved and I often react bad to touches from strangers or creepy people but I also have a late reaction time. Because my body is saying: Oh touch???? And my brain is screaming: No.
He also could be trying to be decent. Which is all he did in the first place. He could be trying to not hurt her feelings and yes you could say he hurt Mira's feelings when he called her stupid for betting on Natsu but he also was apologising and panicky because he didn't want to hurt her.
Also if I even have to explain further why being stalked and basically turned into a fetish and an object is a bad thing then clearly something is fucking wrong with you.
Gray however feels safe likely with Natsu, who's been there from the beginning, took on Deliora, fought too many people just because one of his friends are in danger, has repeatedly stopped Gray from using Iced Shell and was ready to Die with him.
Natsu in return probably feels safe and like he can trust Gray to handle himself because this man has been there since day one and even can take Natsu himself on with no problem. Natsu also probably is happy Gray is nothing like Lisanna or Lucy. Because Gray is Gray and he doesn't remind Natsu of anything traumatizing he's been through.
They both trust one another and stay by one another's side because they are both understanding that they aren't gonna leave. Because think about it, Gray has lost family and his mentor to death. He has suffered through that. You wanna know who's constantly beating death on its ass???? Natsu " I refuse to die " Dragneel.
Natsu has lost family by being abandoned and by Death. He got it both ways and he's suffering because of it. But Gray who's stubborn has shit and stood death in the face at a young age and screamed fuck you at the top of his lungs, wouldn't leave. Gray who fucking went through hell and back, destoryed his own infiltration mission just because Natsu Dragneel rolled up, Keeps Trying To Protect Him, Never once wants to lose Natsu. And Natsu knows that. Because Gray is his constant. Gray is that constant presence in his life he knows for a fact he can trust.
But idfk that's just my thoughts on them.

What Mashima Could Have Done To Improve Nalu (And What He Should Do With Nalu Now)
What could Mashima have done to make Nalu work for someone like me?
Wait, this isn't the rewrite...
I've wanted to make this post for a while. More accurately, I've wanted to make a post about this topic for years. Recently, I've gone through several different drafts of this post with drastically different types of approaches to this topic. However, I feel like this is the right direction to go about this topic.
Obviously, the vast majority of fans like this ship already and are counting the proverbial days until it becomes canon. But I know I'm not the only one who thinks the ship could have made more sense. And, it doesn't seem like Mashima isn't against playing around with the idea of this ship. (I'm not talking about specific spoilers here.)
So, I've decided to point out a few different ways Mashima could have worked Nalu into a better sense of becoming canon through the course of the original series. These are based on what I've heard regarding Nalu on both sides. Near the end, I'll include my suggestion for the best possible route Mashima could take regarding Nalu, especially at this point in the sequel.
Change #1: Natsu Leaving at Chapter 416
Let's get this one out of the way now. The big thing that turned me off to Nalu is how Natsu left at the end of the Tartarus arc, and I know I'm not alone in this. There are two camps of logic about why this is bad. Most people are in the Lucy camp which focuses on Lucy's broken bond with her friend. I'm more in the Natsu camp and focus on how his leaving betrays his ultimate goal of protecting his friends. Either way, Mashima didn't do much to make people who didn't already love the ship like it.
I don't think the argument should be made that Natsu shouldn't have left. He needed to leave to get stronger and if the guild was going to break up, their splitting up was inevitable. There are ways that Mashima could have handled Natsu leaving Lucy that aren't "write her a letter and leave". Given their relationship, he absolutely should have told her to her face that he had to leave and why. That's just a matter of being a good friend.
That's another reason I feel like it's important to start here. Mashima could work to further their relationship from a friendship to a romantic one. However, if their friendship is strained, there's no reason to start that in the first place. With that out of the way, let's talk about how Mashima could have made their relationship more romantic.
Change #2: Clearly Change their View of Each Other
It's not as if Natsu and Lucy's views of each other were consistently positive. It's weird to see that Natsu was dismissive and kind of exploitative was of Lucy early on in Fairy Tail. Of course, this changes throughout the series. Natsu and Lucy come to have a really cool friendship and one of my favorite partnerships in anime and manga.
However, there's no moment where Natsu or Lucy comes to a definite "Oh, I love them" realization. While the other ships in the Big 4 have at least one moment you can point to where the perception of a character towards the other noticeably changed, Nalu doesn't have that. The idea that they could be a couple is brought up every now and then. However, it's always treated as a joke and dismissed almost as quickly as it's brought up. If Mashima were to take Nalu seriously, this kind of moment would be crucial to their progression from great friendship to definite romance.
It's not even as if this couldn't happen. I've seen Nalu fans point to a few different places as possible moments for this to happen. However, my personal favorite moments happen during the Tenrou Island arc. At the beginning of the arc, Lucy looks at Natsu as he's sleeping and mentions how cute he looks. Later on, Natsu sees Lucy struggle against Kain and hears her say "It's more fun when we're together". I think both moments could have been reworked to start them on the trend of starting a romantic relationship with each other.
Change #3: Define Natsu and Lisanna's Relationship As Platonic
Depending on who you ask, we already got this during Tenrou Island. After all, Lisanna told Lucy to take care of Natsu before they went to fight Hades. A lot of people see this as the sign that Lisanna gave up on being with Natsu romantically. (If you can't tell, I'm restraining myself from arguing against this.) Mashima could have made this purpose of the moment more obvious.
Regardless, we didn't get a similar moment where Natsu and Lisanna realize their relationship has changed since Edolas and can't currently be romantic. All we got is a moment that might indicate that Lisanna thinks Lucy is a better romantic fit for Natsu. As someone who's been advocating for more of Lisanna, this change could lead to some interesting moments. Lisanna doesn't have problems with either Natsu or Lucy that would result in any ill will between them. I don't think that should change regardless of how feelings are written regarding Lisanna and the duo.
[insert discussion about Mashima's comment in France here]
Change #4: Give Us A Real Confession
I've said this plenty of times already. We did not get a confession from Natsu at the end of Fairy Tail. The fact that people are arguing that a straight-up confession would be "out of character" for Natsu and Lucy is proof enough of that. If Nalu was meant to be, this would be an obvious inclusion.
Opinions are all over the place regarding how that ought to play out. Should Natsu confess first or should Lucy? Will their confession be more composed or frenetic? That's not so much of my concern. What matters most is that a confession actually happens for the reader to see.
Honestly, it's a shame that so many different romantic ships can get away with happening without seeing definite romantic confessions, especially in battle action shonen series. I've gone through 11 years of nonsense with these characters. If they end up a couple, I want to see the confession, at the very least.
And those are my suggestions for changes.
You'll notice that I haven't talked about romantic progression in this post. That should be obvious when talking about this kind of thing. I think it's hard not to write characters falling in love if you know you're building to a couple being romantic. Fans are more likely to see it in places it isn't happening. Mashima has proven himself capable of writing good romance time and again in both of his big running series. Of course, we're waiting to see if he'll do it again with Edens Zero.
Though, these are changes that would have to take place regarding the original series. If Mashima wanted to do any of these things, it would be too late to properly do them. With that in mind, here's what I think is the best thing Mashima could do with Nalu, especially at this particular time in the sequel.
Destroy Its Chances.
No, seriously.
To be clear, I'm not advocating for Mashima to give us less ship tease fakeouts or meaningless rejections. I'm not asking that he simply not make Nalu canon. I seriously wish that Mashima would make explicitly clear that Natsu and Lucy cannot and will not ever enter a romantic relationship with each other. I simultaneously wish he would stop playing with the idea that they may start one in stuff outside of canon, like Twitter sketches, omakes, and spin-offs.
I've had a lot of time to sit with Nalu as a possible ship. I've thought over and over about what's wrong with it. And I can't think of anything fundamentally wrong with Nalu. The worst thing about it is the nonexistent progression from friends to lovers and Natsu leaving in chapter 416. I'd add fanservice, but pretty much every Fairy Tail ship has egregious fan service moments.
When people talk about Nalu not being a good ship, there are worse things they could be talking about. They could talk about how one person is clearly pushing for a relationship the other isn't interested in. They could talk about how their relationship started off with one brutalizing the other. They could talk about how Nalu is incestuous or pedophilic. However, when we talk about the ships in Fairy Tail, these topics don't come up regarding Nalu.
Like, people don't like Gruvia because of the dynamic between them. For people to like that ship, you'd basically have to rewrite their dynamic entirely. I know someone who would only make Gruvia canon in its current state if it were an abusive relationship. My suggestions for Nalu don't even change that much about their relationship.
The real issues I have with the ship stem from the fandom itself. The Nalu fandom considers any and all moments that involve Natsu and Lucy as a sign that they can become a couple soon. This ranges from "understandable arguments regarding certain scenes in canon" to "irrational interpretations regarding Twitter sketches". All of it's treated with the same cavalier attitude of Nalu's impending canonization. This is all despite no confession, no indication of romance on either side, and an omake literally made to dissuade people from this idea.
I can't say that Mashima will never make Nalu canon. But if he plans not to make it canon, I want it to be clear that Nalu is never going to be a thing. Leave no sense of ambiguity for readers to argue that it might happen in the future after the series ends. When I read the last chapter of the sequel, I want Nalu's prospects to end with the series.
"But what about the fans who spent years following the series hoping for the ship to happen?"
What about them?
I'm not saying this as someone who has no interest in the ship or empathy for its fans. I could and probably should, especially given the stuff I've seen happen over the years. But I'm not. (People can just as easily point to any of the various extreme Nalu haters like... a certain someone.) No, I have no patience for this view considering another perspective I hold.
I came into the fandom enjoying Fairy Tail. I started this blog because I wanted to talk about the things I liked about it and places I disagreed with fans about it. As time passed, I started to like the series less and see more issues with it. Many of the things I came to like about the series started to annoy me more and talking about this series became more of a chore than anything else.
However, I came to have a renewed sense of love for the series as I revisited it. I found new things to like about it and reconfirmed my enjoyment of the things that previously annoyed me. Consider the ship I talk the most about positively on this blog is likely not going to be canon officially. I'm still here and I still love the series.
I find it hard to believe that fans can come this far into the series only because they want to see their ship happen. I get that this sentiment is popular to hear fans say. However, I can't believe that all those people are so deeply invested in Nalu being canon, as opposed to other aspects of the series, that the series would be ruined for them if it didn't happen.
This is a series that's almost a decade and a half old. We've had more spin-offs, omakes, and tie-ins than series many times more popular than Fairy Tail have received. We just got an anime game that actually isn't just another arena fighter and a sequel has been greenlit. There has to be SOMETHING that these people can come back to and appreciate about this series OTHER than Nalu.
And if there really is nothing they can come to like about this series than Nalu? If they really come to hate the series over their ship not happening? If we really see a fan meltdown over the ship not happening, then...
Good riddance to them!
I know plenty of fans who bowed out of the series after realizing the series wasn't great. I'm still following a few of them for other stuff. Almost every one of them came to the conclusion long ago that the series wasn't as great as they'd like it to be and moved onto other things that interested them. They handled it calmly and left the fandom without a ton of drama. A couple of them even drop in to make new fan content every now and then.
I can respect a perspective that acknowledges a series isn’t doing what you want it to do and decides to engage with only the elements that matter most to an individual. I can respect a similar perspective that decides to cut ties with a series or fandom over how canon plays out. I can’t respect or sympathize with a perspective that says canon is worse because one’s wishes for it weren’t fulfilled.
I'm not even saying that it's wrong to not like how Mashima handles a ship. I still don't like how Graytear played out. You're allowed to feel that Mashima's handling of any part of a series isn't great. However, I don't think the series is worse for what it did to Graytear. Fairy Tail wouldn't be worse if Nalu didn't happen.
I'd argue it would be better, but that's enough for now...

jealous bone ship: natsu dragneel x lucy heartfilia summary: The sight of Natsu with another woman, her hand running up his thigh and her less than innocent flirtatious giggles makes Lucy sick to her stomach. She knows that he doesn't belong to her, she has no right to feel the way she does, but seeing another women try to get romantically involved with her best friend makes her think that if anyone should be filling that role, it should be her. ao3
like a month or so ago i asked @celestialulu to pick a fic off of my list to write and she picked this one. i didn't forget about it, it just ended up being double the length i originally intended it to be..... i hope it meets ur expectations :]
Tumblr media
It was supposed to be a nice outing, a fun way to spend their last night in Crocus before they were to head back in the morning.
And it was, for the most part, anyway.
Sting had recommended a bar in the middle of town with good vibes and even better drinks, and Lucy was more than willing to see off their trip with a few more cocktails than she could handle. Natsu had been happy to tag along, as he always was, not exactly keen to spend the evening alone at the inn.
The two had quickly come to the conclusion that Sting had in fact been justified in his praises, with a shot of fire whiskey that had a delicious burn going down and a fruity little cocktail that Lucy was certain she could get sloshed on without even noticing.
It seemed as though everyone else in Crocus had had the same idea that night, with every seat in the establishment occupied and chatter filling the air.
The bartender slid over a plate of fries Natsu had ordered earlier, and Lucy wasted no time in helping herself to some.
"Hey, those are mine," Natsu scolded, but didn’t make any attempt to stop her nonetheless.
Lucy merely flashed him a coy smile and continued to steal off of his plate. If it were anyone else, he would have stopped her in her tracks, by force if he had to, but Lucy was already well aware that she held a coveted position at the top of the list of people Natsu was willing to share his food with, and she was going to take advantage of that.
"You want one?"
He didn’t reply; only opened his mouth up for her to share with him. Picking up his cue, she tossed one into his mouth, which he caught with no issue before chomping down on it and flashing Lucy a wide grin as she giggled along to his antics.
Natsu’s hand moved to the basket, picking up another chip or two, which she simply assumed were to feed himself, only to be pleasantly surprised when he held them out for her.
"Open up."
Lucy promptly did as she was told, and Natsu responded in turn by flicking them into her mouth, though her catch wasn’t as successful as his as it dropped down into her lap, where she looked down at it with a pout on her face.
Flagging down the bartender, Lucy ordered one, two, three more of those delectable cocktails. The drunken flush was quick to take hold on Lucy, who was already feeling the alcohol that she certainly couldn’t taste. It hadn’t hit her too hard yet, but she certainly felt slightly wobbly, something that was made evident by her poor aim the next time she tried to toss a fry at Natsu, sending it right over his shoulder where it hit the man sitting next to him, who was none the wiser as the duo burst into a fit of giggles together.
When a lull in the conversation hit, Lucy shuffled uncomfortably in her seat slightly, glancing around the bar until she finally located the restroom.
"I have to pee," she told him, holding onto his shoulder for balance as she hopped off the stool.
He nodded in understanding before she tottered off to the bathroom, pushing her way through the crowd. She was prompt and quick with it, keen to get back to Natsu so she could continue to order them shots until she got so hammered that he had to carry her back to the inn.
Lucy could have sworn she had been gone no more than five minutes before she returned to find her seat taken by another girl who was currently engaged in a more-than-friendly conversation with her partner.
Natsu could talk to whoever he wanted to; she had no control or say over his autonomy; he didn’t "belong" to her. It didn’t matter how many people mistook them for a couple, Natsu was still very much an eligible bachelor, and without Lucy by his side, he certainly looked the part. Lucy knew that, but that didn’t stop the horrible sinking feeling in her stomach as she watched this woman practically drool all over Natsu.
Her actions held no subtlety to them; even Natsu, as oblivious as he was, knew what was going on; she was certain of it. She swooned over how big and strong he was, and he was more than accepting of her praises, willing to indulge her with stories of his epic adventures as she gasped in awe as he recounted tales that Lucy already knew because she was there when they happened. She laughed when he spoke, an overexaggerated giggle covered by one hand as the other bashfully brushed a strand of hair behind her ear, laughing at something Lucy was certain wasn’t all that funny.
It wasn’t the flirting or giggling that got under her skin, though; it was the touches. It was the way she’d lightly bat his arm as she laughed at his tales, the way her hand came to rest on his thigh as she leant forwards, no doubt relishing in the comforting heat his body emanated as her fingertips trailed up, up, up his thigh. Natsu shifted slightly but otherwise didn’t stop her, and suddenly Lucy felt like she was going to vomit.
Every part of her brain was telling her to look away, save herself the pain, and pretend she hadn’t noticed, but the scene was like a train wreck that she couldn’t tear her eyes away from.
Natsu had never shown interest in women before, or at least, she hadn’t thought he had, but maybe it was because he’d never been given the chance to. The women at the guild were his family, it would be weird for them to show an interest in them, and his time spent outside the guild left him little time for socialising. Perhaps Lucy’s assumption had been one made with insufficient evidence because now, watching him indulge a random flirt at a bar, she was questioning everything she thought she knew about him.
She was so used to his undivided attention, to being the one attached to his hip, to being the only girl Natsu was willing to even give the time of day to, that suddenly seeing him with another woman made her suddenly feel... inadequate. Almost as if her place in her life had been taken along with that stupid barstool she had been sitting in just a moment prior—that she had been replaced.
That was a stupid thought. There was no way that Natsu finding himself a woman was going to change the relationship they had. Sure, he might have less time for her, and they probably couldn’t go out for dinner together like they always did, and he couldn’t spend the night in bed with her anymore, and he wouldn’t hold her hand or spontaneously put his arms around her, or tuck her head beneath his chin when he held her.
But she could live without those things.
Maybe.
So why did the thought of losing that make her want to cry in the middle of this bar?
She was just drunk; that was it. She couldn’t think straight. She was just confusing all of these feelings she had for Natsu with love.
Because there’s no way she was in love with Natsu.
Right?
Lucy didn’t want him to go home with that girl, or anyone else for that matter.
Just her.
The mere thought of it made her skin crawl. It wasn’t like she expected Natsu to bed some random stranger, but the thought of it wouldn’t leave her head, and it just felt so… gross.
Perhaps it was the alcohol flowing through her veins—the dose of liquid courage—that, in her jealous frenzy, compelled her to do something she would never have done otherwise.
She licked her lips slightly to replace the glossy sheen that had been lost on the rim of her glass throughout the night and mustered her best doe-eyed look before finally approaching Natsu. Her hand gently grazed his arm, capturing his attention before it ran down his bicep and down to his hand, her fingertips brushing against the back of it. Perhaps if she had let herself order just one more cocktail, she might have mustered the courage to intertwine his fingers with hers, but she was already pushing her luck with her cutesy showing; if she had done that, he would have known for sure something was up.
"Natsu?" She pouted, "Can you take me home now, please?"
"Everything okay?" He asked, brows furrowed in concern.
"I‘m just tired," she answered, not wanting to elaborate any further on why she needed to cut their outing short.
He gave her an unconvinced look, confused by her sudden change in demeanour, but didn’t choose to press her any further.
"Alright," he conceded.
Lucy tried her best to hold back the sigh of relief trying to pass through her lips now that her plan had succeeded. She’d never done something quite so… manipulative before, if you could even call it that. Regardless of whether it was or wasn’t, doing so still planted a seed of guilt in her stomach, ready to grow into something bigger and more sinister. She didn’t like the feeling, but there was no going back now. She couldn’t simply apologise to the girl, give her Natsu back to her, and pretend that it was all a big misunderstanding. She was in too deep now, the seed sewn within her consciousness.
Before that seed could sprout, however, it was quickly kicked through the dirt at the feeling of Natsu’s arm thrown around her shoulder, pulling her comfortably into his side, just like he always did.
"Oh."
The soft voice came from the very girl seated where Lucy had once been. She could see the realisation in her eyes as she watched her ease into the space between Natsu’s arm and torso, fitting so comfortably in there as if it were a spot made for her.
"I didn’t know you had a girlfriend."
There came the eternal line, the obvious assumption that everyone else seemed to make. The one thing that Lucy would scramble to correct every time she heard it.
But she didn’t this time.
Seemingly following her lead, neither did Natsu.
Tonight, she would let herself fill that role.
The side of her head nestled comfortably against Natsu’s chest, arms wrapped around his torso as they walked, their steps in tandem even as she clung to his side. The night air was cool against her skin, but Natsu’s unusually high body heat kept her warm as she clung to his side. Lucy was simply content to continue on as they were the rest of the way to the inn, to enjoy his company, and to not bring up what had just happened.
Ever.
The silence was never uncomfortable between them; they were both happy to enjoy each other's company without the burden of banter, and tonight was no exception. Lucy fully expected the quiet to follow them home, where they would exchange sleepy goodnights before heading off to rest for the night. That expectation was quickly dashed when she finally heard Natsu speak up for the first time since they left the bar.
"What’s wrong?"
Moving her gaze from the path in front of them, Lucy looked up at him and saw a look of concern painted across his face.
"What? No, nothing’s wrong," she tried to reassure. "Why would anything be wrong?"
"Because you’re trembling," he pointed out. "And you haven’t let go of me since we left."
Her breath got caught in her throat as she realised that he had realised something was up. She didn’t even notice she was shaking until he pointed it out to her.
"Did something happen while you were in the bathroom?" He asked, concern growing in his voice and becoming evident on his face. "Do you need me to go back there and kick someone’s ass?"
"Like I said, I’m just tired," Lucy repeated, guilt returning to gnaw on her consciousness as she saw just how much worry she had caused him.
It wasn’t technically a lie, but it wasn’t the entire truth either. It’s not like she could tell him what was really on her mind. What would she even say?
Seeing you talk to that girl made me so sick that if I didn’t get both of us out of there immediately, I was going to throw up or do something stupid. Maybe both.
He probably wouldn’t even believe her anyway. Lucy wasn’t a vindictive person; she would never hurt a hair on someone’s head without good reason, and being a little jealous over the way she touched him hardly constituted a good reason. It wasn’t like her to get jealous, either. She had everything she wanted in life, so much to be grateful for, she didn’t have the right to be jealous, so why was she feeling this way?
Because Natsu was the best thing she had ever had.
That was why.
Because in her stupid will to keep things the way they were, she’d convinced herself that what she was feeling towards him wasn’t love and that these feelings would pass. But she didn’t want to keep things the way they were, did she? Seeing someone else have the courage to take the step that Lucy was too afraid to take was the wake-up call she needed. If she wasn’t going to take what she wanted, then someone else would.
They’d stopped walking, their feet instead planted on the sidewalk, lit only by the moonlight and a nearby flickering streetlamp. Natsu was looking down at her, clearly unconvinced by her weak excuse and concerned by her silence, as she seemed lost deep within the trenches of thought.
Her gaze rose to meet his, and she was met with a reminder of how pretty his eyes were, even as they were clouded with worry over her. His hair, wild as it was, framed his face perfectly, making him look so pretty in the gentle moonlight, even as he looked down at her in concern. It was deceptively soft—she was well aware of that from hours spent tangling her fingers through it on long train rides. His lips looked so soft, like they would feel perfect against hers, and she wished in this moment they weren’t curved into a frown so she could catch a glimpse of that smile of his that made her melt every. single. time. Oh, he was so handsome that it made her heart ache.
Natsu was everything she could ever want wrapped up in a perfect little package, and in her fear of losing that, she had inadvertently nearly done exactly that. If she wanted to keep him for real, she needed to let him know exactly what she wanted.
With the vodka still lingering in her system, just enough to override any hesitancy she may have felt otherwise, Lucy grabbed his face and she kissed him.
She kissed him like his body was the air she breathed, like his lips were the one thing keeping her tethered to this mortal plane. His hands came to rest on her waist to hold them both steady as her thumbs brushed against his cheeks, revelling in the feeling of his skin against hers.
Lucy was nothing short of breathless when they parted, her lips merely inches away from his, tempting her to take them again, hands still resting on his cheeks.
"Wh-" His eyes were glazed over slightly, and his breath caught in his throat as he tried to piece together what had just happened. "What’s going on, Lucy? What was that for?"
It wasn’t until she heard his voice that she came crashing down from her high, and she suddenly realised the gravity and consequences of what she had just done.
Yeah, Lucy. What the hell was that for?
She opened her mouth, but the words got caught in her throat, and she couldn’t do anything but stare helplessly at him. It wasn’t that she had nothing to say; it was more the fact that she had too much to say that her brain simply couldn’t settle on what the right words were.
"I- I-"
Normally Lucy prided herself on always being able to read Natsu, knowing him better than anyone else did, but right now his expression was inscrutable, and that only made her panic more. There was nothing she could say to undo whatever damage had been done; their relationship was now going to be irreparably defined by the time she had too much to drink and kissed him like her life depended on it.
If she could just move on without having to explain herself, she would. They’d never speak of this night again, and her little shame would live only in their minds, but Natsu was looking down at her expectantly, waiting for some sort of answer or explanation. His gaze was inescapable, and all she could do was crack under the pressure of it.
"I want to be your girlfriend!" She finally sputtered out. "And- and I know that’s weird because you’re my best friend and I shouldn’t be feeling this way about you, but I do."
"Lucy."
His voice only vaguely registered in her brain as she continued to ramble, paying little mind to the fact that he was trying to get her attention.
"I know it’s weird and selfish of me because what we have right now is so good, and that doesn’t have to change. I just needed you to know how I feel."
"Lucy."
Hearing him say her name like that stopped her thought spiral in their tracks.
"What?"
"You already are my girlfriend."
Now it was her time to be confused.
Her jaw fell open as if trying to mouth out the words that her brain could not muster, and instead of responding, all she could do was stand and gape at him like an idiot.
"Wh- what?" Was her brilliant reaction. "Since when?"
"Uh, since about fifteen minutes ago when that girl at the bar called you my girlfriend and you didn’t say no," Natsu shrugged.
He said it like it was the most obvious thing in the world.
Like it wasn’t the most ridiculous thing she had ever heard in her entire life.
"You think that constitutes us being in a relationship?" Lucy cried. "That is the craziest thing I have ever heard in my entire life! You can’t just assume things like that, Natsu!"
"Well, I was right, wasn’t I?" He said, completely matter-of-factly, ignoring any logic that might have come from her words. "You just said you wanna be my girlfriend."
Maybe it was just the alcohol, but this whole thing just seemed so absurd.
"You do want to be my girlfriend, right?" He clarified. "You’re not just saying that because you’re drunk?"
"I’m not drunk," she replied. "Only a little bit…"
Before she had time to process what was happening, Natsu’s hands were on her waist, pulling her close to him so they stood chest to chest. When she looked up at him, he was beaming down at her, and in that moment, she realised that all of her worries were for nothing.
"‘Cause I like being your boyfriend," he grinned, a look of pride plastered on his face despite the short period since their initial misunderstanding. "But I don’t wanna just be your boyfriend when you’re drunk."
"I don’t want you to just be my boyfriend when I’m drunk either," she murmured, fully aware of how close they were, feeling his breath against her nose, and feeling that wonderful temptation to close the space between them again.
Using all of her willpower, she held back her desire to taste his lips once more. As much as she wanted to drag her hands through his hair, feel his palm against the small of her back, holding her close as they kissed beneath the gaze of the moon, there was a much more important conversation at hand.
Because Natsu wanted to be her boyfriend.
If she had known that, maybe she would have kissed him earlier.
"Why didn’t you tell me?" She inquired, her voice soft, quiet, almost hesitant.
"Why didn’t you tell me?" Natsu shot back.
"Because I didn’t think you were interested," she sighed, bringing her hands up to rest on his forearms. "I just thought that you kind of… didn’t care about this kind of stuff."
"Why’d you change your mind?" He asked, head cocked to the side in curiosity.
Her eyes darted away from his for a moment as shame suddenly filled her. She had sobered up slightly since they left the bar—not entirely so, but enough to be embarrassed by what had prompted her sudden kiss and confession.
Was she really about to admit this to him? That she was jealous of some… random?
In hindsight, she knew she shouldn’t have been worried. She was always going to be Natsu’s number one, but in the moment, she felt so threatened that she didn’t know what to do with herself. From the moment they stepped out of that place, Lucy had sworn that she would take those feelings to the grave, but not even an hour later, she was beginning to crack under Natsu’s questioning gaze.
He deserved to know, didn’t he?
Sucking in a breath, she began to confess.
"Seeing that girl flirting with you at the bar made me feel… I don’t know… like that should have been me."
Natsu blinked at her, dumbfounded.
"What?"
"The girl at the bar!" Lucy repeated, exasperated by his seeming lack of understanding. "She was cozying up with you, and you weren’t turning her away, and it made me feel…" She paused for a moment, considering the word she was about to use, experimenting with the feeling of it on her tongue, before she finally caved in. "Jealous."
"She wasn’t flirting with me," Natsu frowned, looking completely unconvinced by her words.
Surely, surely, he wasn’t that dumb. She couldn’t have been more obvious about it! Anyone else could see it from a mile away, but here Natsu was, just thinking she was being overtly friendly with him.
"Yes, she was," Lucy retorted. "She was touching your arm and laughing at all your jokes and doing that thing girls do where they tuck their hair behind their ear."
"But you do that to me all the time."
She could practically see the gears turning in his brain the moment those words left his lips.
"Oh."
"Yeah," she breathed.
At the very least, she knew that losing him to another woman wasn’t something she’d ever have to worry about.
"Well, I like it better when you flirt with me," he grinned, finally having put the pieces together, and Lucy felt her insides turn to mush.
Her arms snaked around his torso, and she rested her head on his chest. He eagerly reciprocated, wrapping his arms around her and holding her close, nuzzling his nose into the crown of her head.
It wasn’t fair that he could hardly realise when someone was flirting but could so easily turn her legs into jelly with cheesy little lines like that. Not that she could mind too much. All she could bring herself to care about was that after months of hopeless pining, she was finally nestled away in Natsu’s heart.
"Heh, my Lucy was jealous~" He immediately began to tease. "I’m so tellin’ Happy when we get back."
Lucy could immediately feel her face turn red in embarrassment as she realised that she was never going to live this one down for as long as she lived, and suddenly she almost began to regret letting him in on her feelings.
"You will not!" She whined, lips sticking out in a pout, with a less-than-intimidating frown on her face as she looked up at him.
Her scare tactics clearly didn’t work on him, as he just chortled in response.
She should have known better than to think his teasing remarks would end as they stepped into a new stage in their relationship. If anything, it would only get worse from here. She supposed that was simply the consequence of being his Lucy.

E.N.D.  AU
Fandom: Fairytail
Ship Title: Gajevy/Gale
A.N.: Hello Everyone! So I wanted to make good on a promise I made a long time ago to an anon that recently came up again. It’s a AU where Gajeel is E.N.D. instead of Natsu. I didn’t want to start another series as I already have at least two of them on the go so here’s a oneshot. @bearandbirdfan I hope you enjoy this as you re-requested it. ^_^ @starscreamjosh because you liked the re-request.
Disclaimer: I do not own Fairytail or it’s characters.
_______________________________________
I held the book in my hands, trembling, looking down at it.
A big heavy leather bound book, similar to hundreds in my collections. It smelt old and dusty like it hadn’t been taken off a bookshelf in years.
“Gajeel is END” Mavis had said when she handed the book to us. She hadn’t had time to explain much but we knew enough for this to be a shock.
Gajeel was the final demon of Zeref, the one meant to destroy him, and if he succeeded he would die too.
It was a sick fitting name for such a demon to be called END. It would be the end of Zeref and the end of END.
A paw landed on my shoulder bringing me back to the moment. Lily stood beside me on the park bench, looking just as somber. We both knew Gajeel was on his way to fight with Zeref and our job was to simply protect the book.
There was nothing we could do. We had to make sure the book was kept safe, until Zeref was defeated and then the book would disappear and with it Gajeel.
I hadn’t even realized I was crying until I looked at Lily and he was blurry. I quickly wiped my eyes to clear them. My heart was breaking in my chest. We both had just started getting used to the idea of being a couple. We hadn’t even announced it to the guild yet and he was going to be gone. Months of pretending we weren’t falling for eachother and then that night when we were on the council…
We came back to the guild together but it was a secret from everyone but Lily, we weren’t ready to announce it yet and everyone was so focused on the rebuild and then finding the master and then the war with Alvrez.
We wanted to wait till we could celebrate properly with everyone. Well, I did, Gajeel didn’t want to deal with the headache of it all but at my insistence he agreed to tell them after the war.
But now there would be nothing to tell. He was going to disappear.
Gone.
He would disappear with the rest of the demons which was an insult to injury. As if he was a monster to be erased from the world and forgot along with the dark mage Zeref.
My tears fell more steadily, the drops rolling down my cheeks and falling from my chin to land on the book in my hand. The book that was Gajeel.
Could he feel my pain? Could he tell how much my heart was breaking? Could he feel my tears for him?
I lifted the book off my lap to look at the cover closer as if I may see him in it somehow. But it was not him in almost every way. The leather was rough and smelled dead and dusty. It wasn’t alive or smelt of iron and earth. The font on the front was jagged and sharp which was at odds with his handwriting which was smooth and clear.
That originally had been a surprise to find out that he had very neat handwriting. I had been helping him with paper work and thought he had been making Lily do all of his work. He had almost been embarrassed to admit that it was his writing and he had even blushed slightly.
I smile at the memory but even as I do the pain in my chest squeezes harder knowing he’ll be gone soon and I won’t even get to say goodbye. All I’ll have is this stupid book to hold that was Gajeel and yet wasn’t him at all. I want to slam the book down on my lap but I don’t, instead I hug it, holding it close.
Did he even know? Did he know if he defeats Zeref he dies too? Would it even matter?
Of course it would matter. Gajeel had admitted to me in the past he didn’t always see the point to living but that his mindset on that, had changed in recent time. A sentiment that had taken my breath away at the time but now just made me feel all the more worse.
He wouldn’t give up thought. He would fight till he couldn’t anymore which would happen this time even if he won or lost.
The result was the same, victory or defeat he would be gone forever.
So did it really matter if we opened the book or not?
I slowly lower the book from my chest and look at the cover that I’ve memorized over the last hour.
What would happen if I opened it?
“Lily…” I said and looked at him and in his eyes, through their own watering, I could see he was working to the same conclusion and after a moment he nodded. I don’t know if I was looking for his consent but regardless I had it.
Armed with Lily’s approval and my own resolve I took hold of the front cover and gently lifted it open.
A wave of light shot from the pages and the book lept from my lap to the ground, the pages flipping rapidly, hundreds of pages went by but the book looked no closer to the end, the book seeming to hold thousands more pages then it’s weight had suggested. Lines of red ruins flew out from the pages, extending outwards and around then back into the book, scrolling text continuously, almost too fast for me to read but I managed and the words made my eyes widen.
It was Gajeel’s life. It was everything, even things that the book had no business of knowing when it was written. It was undeniable now that this book and Gajeel were linked, one and the same. I watched the words go by with my mouth open and then I noticed it. Was I imagining it?
Quickly I reached into my bag and pulled out my reading glasses so I could catch every word and there was no mistaking it. The words, the sentences, the chapters, They were all linked to Zeref, but more importantly, I knew how.
It was advanced script magic but one I had seen before when I had stumbled upon an actual library in Tartors. I found books, discarded by Zeref there. Pages devoid of magic that had once been there. As if he had started the project but got frustrated and removed the life from them but still the physical pages remained. The ruins had been dead but I felt that connection and had stolen one to study while on the council.
I hadn’t told anyone about it. I knew it was dangerous to mess with a demon book but if there was no magic in it, I didn’t think it could hurt anyone. I studied the words and the characters one at a time but it always felt like there was more that I wasn’t quite seeing in each bit of text.
Then I discovered it. The pages suddenly stopped having new text and all that was written was the character for the dark mage himself, over and over and over again. And it gave me the piece of the puzzle I was missing. Every ruin that was played out was written with bits of ruins that Zeref had infused with his life force. He wasn’t simply writing a book like I would scrawl a note on paper.
He filled pages with his magic and his life force in the form of his name in ruins and when he was finished he would deconstruct those ruins and reform them into new ones that still held his name. They could say anything but would always be tied back to him. Tied to his life.
I had been fascinated at the time, It was a major discovery, but now it just made me feel like I wanted to vomit.
Gajeel was one and the same with the book which was given life by Zeref. In a way it was almost as if Zeref was his father.
I reached my hand out to one of the closest ruin circles spinning around us and it paused at my touch and I felt it. I felt him. I could feel Gajeel within the text as much as I could feel Zeref. I could feel his magic as if it was him I was touching. He was there within the text and bound to a life force that wasn’t his.
Wait…
No, there was a second life force there! It just wasn’t embedded in the text, it was the text! Zeref in making Gajeel had written everything there was to be Gajeel without needing Zeref, why would he bother adding any unnecessary words when every word was a bond?!
“What is it?” Lily asked me as he could see my expression changed, I looked at him, my tears changing to be lighter.
“I think I can save him.” I said quietly, almost afraid to hope.
I took a shaky breath and reached into my bag for my ruin pen, all I needed to do was separate Zeref from Gajeel. That was all I needed to do. Rewrite it word for word if I had to with new ruins, ones that did not start in Zeref’s name. I pulled out my pen and reached out to the closest ruin circle again to stop it.
Just rewrite it. That’s all I had to do to save him.
I pressed the pen to the line and felt immediate resistance but I forced through and almost cried out as I broke the first ruin barrier and started writing. It hurt. It hurt badly but I could bare it. I had too.
Gritting my teeth I started rewriting, erasing the pieces that were tied to Zeref only after I had made a replacing character. The pain was awful, but it was nothing compared to the idea of losing him. I had to do it, he had to live.
I knew I wouldn’t be free of consequences when I started my plan but when the skin of my hand started to turn silver it was a shock. The pain seemed to focus as a wave of it moved up my hand and up my arm, the faster I rewrote the faster it moved up my arm.
“Levy your hand!” Lily said grabbing my shoulder and pulling my back from the writing and I shook him off.
“I’m fine! I need to keep going! We don’t know how much time we have!” I shouted feeling my cheeks wet again but this time the tears were from pain, raw hot pain as I continued writing and the silver continued growing.
I don’t know how much time passed but writing became more difficult and my hand began moving slower. The silver had completely coated my arm and disappeared beneath the sleeve of my shirt.
My fingers started getting clumsy and I dropped the pen.
“Damn it.” I said and reached to pick it up with the same hand but it wouldn’t move properly anymore, it felt frozen and I could no longer feel my fingers.
“Levy! You need to stop!” Lily said again, reaching to take the pen and I swatted him away sobbing.
“I can’t stop and you know that!” I screamed. One of my eyes wasn’t working properly and seemed fuzzy.
I picked the pen up with my other hand and pressed it aggressively into the ruin barrier and kept going. It wasn’t my first time writing with my non-dominant hand and it wasn’t as fast but it worked and was clear. Like my first hand the pain was scorching and started to bleed silver into my skin.
I couldn’t stop. I wouldn’t stop. Not until Gajeel was free of Zeref. Not until he was free and safe.
“I will save you this time!” I sobbed to myself as one of my eyes went dark.
_____________________________________________
The pen dropped from her hand.
The text was blue now, the script so clearly Levy’s hand-writing. The ground beneath the ruins was littered with soot piles as the old red ruins had been erased. The book seemed to slowly be taking the writing in, almost uncertain at first but then faster till it all had receded into the book, the pages flipping in the opposite direction as they had when they had opened the book but now it was closing on itself.
With a solid clap the cover closes and the title now reads Gajeel’s name with a heart in the ‘A’.
I stepped forward slowly and picked up the book that had been completely transformed by her hand. It felt lighter to my paws, not weighted by black magic anymore. All that was in it was Gajeel now.
My eyes water as I look at the book and then up at Levy.
“You did it Levy.” My voice isn’t strong like it should be, she saved him like she so wanted to, but the cost…
The cost was too much.
____________________________________
“Lily!” I’m waving at him as I limp around the corner, He’s sitting at the end of the path with a book in his lap that makes him look tiny.
What the fuck is he doing with a book? We just fought a war and he took a break to go to the library? He’s been hanging around with Levy too much.
I grin at him down the path getting closer.
“Lily we did it! We fucking won!” I say excitedly but he isn't even looking at me. What’s wrong with him?
“Oie! Lil’! Where’s Levy?” I yelled at him as I got closer and I can finally make out his face, he’s crying. My grin falls away making way for concern and I hobble over to him faster.
Why would he be crying, did something happen? Can’t be a fight, Lil’ don’t cry over a fight.
Confused, I make my way closer. What book is he holding? Is that my name?
“Lily what’s going-...” The words die in my mouth as I get up beside him. Lily and the book are forgotten because I see Levy now. She had been blocked by one of the trees at the end of the path but now she’s in front of me and I don’t know what I’m seeing.
It’s her, no doubt, I can still smell her scent but she’s...
Her skin in silver, dull and buffed like iron and her eyes... Her beautiful, amazing, deep, brown eyes are coated over and empty. Metal.
Her clothes hang off the statue, moving lightly in the breeze and it’s silent. She’s reaching out and her expression is pained but determined, tears are molded into the metal on her cheeks. A ruin pen sits on the ground, chipped from where it hit the cobblestone when she dropped it.
My mouth is open and my brain isn’t processing, too many questions crowd my mind. It can’t be her…
It can’t! None of the twelve wielded iron based magic!
I don’t even notice my feet hitting the ground as I step up to the statue that only reaches my chest in height.
“Sh-shorty?” My voice breaks in disbelief. “How….?”
“She saved you Gajeel.” Lily’s voice sounds behind me but I don’t remove my wide eyes from her steeled over ones. I reach a hand to touch her cheek and my chest feels hollow through and I taste the acid of vomit in the back of my throat as I realize it.
“She wouldn’t stop. I begged her but she wouldn’t listen. She saved you.” He says again but I’m not listening.
The woman that stole my heart, is a solid iron statue.

DEFENDING NALU
I was scrolling through pictures on Pinterest(of NaLu, obviously) and I was reading some comments on a few different posts that said,
“Natsu and Lucy have a brother/sister relationship. He would be better suited with Erza”,
or,
“Natsu isn’t romantic”.
I’m here to explain why these things, and more, aren’t true and why NaLu IS in fact, or more so, will be, canon. LETS BEGIN!!!
WARNING!! - This text might contain spoiler alerts, so be aware
First topic : Why Natsu and Lucy DON’T have a brother/sister relationship
I was reading comments saying that Natsu and Lucy has a brother/sister relationship, and that Lucy wasn’t “strong” enough to be with Natsu, therefor Natsu and Erza would be the better couple. Ok, first of all, Lucy is very, VERY, strong. In the first few seasons, yes, she might not have been super strong, but she still held her own in battle. There was also the argument that Lucy couldn’t fight, and she used other people(her spirits) to fight for her, but that’s not true either. She even said during the battle of Fairy Tail, “I won’t use my spirits as shields, I want to fight with them”, or something of that sort. She has her Fleuve d'étoiles to fight, and her and Loke even won against Bixslow(who previously beat Gray), with both of them fighting. And now, she has her star dress, not to mention her star dress mix. I mean, if the argument is that Natsu has to have someone super strong to be with him, then Lucy definitely fits that criteria, even though that’s not a fitting argument.
Anyway, back to the main point. One of the main reasons why Natsu and Lucy don’t have a brother/sister relationship is that he sees her naked ALL the time. And he also gropes her breasts, and does other stuff that a brother wouldn’t do to his sister. I mean, it would be pretty incest if a brother and sister did that to each other. They also have pretty emotional scenes with each other that a brother and sister don’t have, I mean, I surely don't do all that stuff with my brother. I would argue that Erza and Natsu have more of a brother/sister relationship than Natsu and Lucy do. Although, I wouldn’t quite call it a brother/sister relationship because they also see eachother naked, but they don’t make a good couple. Erza also pushes Natsu around and messes with him, something a brother and sister would do. And Natsu is scared by Erza, don't you think a lover wouldn't be scared of his significant other. Plus, Erza has Jellal, and they’re definitely canon. Anyone who thinks otherwise, has not watched Fairytail, like, at all.
Tumblr media
Second point : Natsu is romantic
Natsu is the main male protagonist of the story, therefor he’s one of the characters that we see the most of. We see all sorts of sides from Natsu. We have his happy/caring side, we have his angry/powerful side, we also have his forgetful/nonchalant side. There’s also his emotional side, which was hidden from us up until Future Lucy died. That was the first time we’d actually seen him cry. I mean, I can't remember a time where Natsu cried that intently before. My point is, that we hadn’t see Natsu’s emotional side before in the first few seasons, so we speculated that he just didn’t have one. Then the Eclipse Arc happened, and we realized that Natsu does, in fact, have an emotional side. We had never seen his emotional side before, so whats to say he doesn't have any other sides that we just don't know about yet, one of which could be his romantic side. Just because we haven’t seen the romantic side of Natsu, doesn't mean he doesn't have one, and visa versa. In my opinion, Natsu is romantic, but none of those reasons make a valid argument, so I’m not going to say them. Well, I guess I’ll say one. Natsu. Is. Hot. As. Fuck.
Tumblr media
Third point : The way he’s delicate with her
Natsu is a rough, raised by a dragon, kinda guy. He’s not the type of person to be delicate. That being said, the way he’s so delicate with Lucy is endearing. The way he touches her hand, the way he comforts her, all of it. Although, he’s probably a bit more rough in bed *nudge*nudge*wink*wink*. Hehe. Jkkkk, kinda. But anyways, Natsu has never been the type of guy to just stop everything and comfort you, if anything he’s the type of guy to crack a joke about it. Not to say that he isn’t comforting with other people, but it’s mainly Lucy. He does mess with Lucy and tease her and shit, but he’s doing it in a lovingly way. He wouldn’t want to actually make Lucy feel bad like he does with Gray.
Natsu cares for Lucy, we can clearly see that. Some might think that he cares for her in a lovingly way, or a family way. In some ways, it’s both. It’s an opinion. I personally think they love each other and should be together, but other people think differently, and that’s ok. I was just stating why I believed NaLu is one of the best ships, and I was also “debunking” what other people thought. It’s your decision if you like NaLu or not, but I know that NaLu will come into being one way or another.
Tumblr media
That’s all! I hope you guys like this! If there’s anything else you’d like to hear from me, then message me or ask me in the comments. Or submit a post or something. I also make fanart and fanfics. I’m currently working on some NaLu for both fan art and fanfics, so stay tuned! See ya!

(っ◔◡◔)っ ♥ Matchup ♥
Heyo!! Hope you are all doing well! and I HOPE YOURE TAKING GOOD CARE OF YOURSELVES ♡︎
Heyooo! I would like to request matchups for Inuyasha, Fairytail, and Fire Force, please!♡´・ᴗ・`♡
I am a heterosexual female!
I’m a Leo, and a combination of ENFP/ENTP (if that helps with characterization), but I’m becoming more ambivert as the days go by. But I still act like a crackhead (making up new words, making random sound effects out of boredom and roasting people playfully, having airhead moments, for examples) and a lot of people irl do get put off at how “obnoxious” I can get, but I do know when to “flip the switch” and become serious/quiet.
I have really low standards for humor idk I laugh at my own jokes it’s honestly astounding, but cursed memes/images are somethin else💀 Dark jokes are always open in my ally👀
Ironically, I canNOT stand horror, I will legit be so paranoid or freaked out and start overthinking and just cry and DIE—
I’m very open, almost TOO open, but ask me literally anything and I’ll usually tell everyone my honest opinions/thoughts, but I know how to deliver words tactfully and articulately. Debating, (public) speaking, writing, and understanding concepts are my strong suits; likewise I suck ass at math (I have no idea how tf I passed my Calc ap exams, I just— 😭)
Speaking of writing, I write poems whenever I feel like it, I have a whole collection HAH. My love of expressing comes from my tendency to play the devil’s advocate in interpreting and arguing for almost all perspectives in topics. So you can probably guess how I don’t get offended really easily and welcome both playful and serious banter (despite the crackhead persona, I’m very observant of people and their values expressed and how they tick, so I know when to back off especially when they get uncomfortable with my aggressive debating/personality). Need advice? I can use what I’ve gathered from different people and help anyone in their particular situations.
I know I can be overwhelming to alot of people at first impressions and I CAN get very passionate when talking about many things that might scare the hell out of people, but if they tell me to tone it down, I’ll gladly do so; again, I’ll honestly notice if they’re not comfy with it/are overwhelmed based on body language and even from the way they text…. super intuition or something?
And speaking of expression, I love fashion and makeup! I love being able to express myself through use of presentation and have fun while doing it! hehe (k-fashion, asian beauty 👀) HELL YEAH I’M DOWN FOR SHOPPING—
I like to dance yeehaw, and I was on a competitive dance team (well that was before when the corona hit the milly rock a little TOO hard and put all the dancers out of commission😔🤝😭) I’ve also been in my own highschool’s dance club for 4 years!!
I’m a console gamer :0 Big fan of winding down with video games, but books are the best if games aren’t an option.
Music is a huge part of my life; I played the flute and the viola for years before and been surrounded by music through dancing as well; while I’ve been in a choir before, my vocals aren’t stellar oof, but at least I’m not tone-deaf.
Can’t cook to save a life ooooof, that’s where my airheadness REALLY kicks in. I literally burn myself making instant :>
I’m not phased by sexual innuendos/conversations/kinks because I see them objectively as unique characteristics of every person, but I’ll crack up at a sex joke or a cringe flirt line with friends. And like I’ve said, I’ll share them myself without objection if ANYONE asks. But the moment someone actually TRIES to make a move on me (like what!!¡¿), I’ll first play it casual but then bolt for the door because it’s hard for me to actually imagine that ANY guy would see me in a romantic light LOL but i’d get used to the advances quick and if it’s someone i liked back, i’d tease them the same or raise up the antics ᕦ(ò_óˇ)ᕤ
★・・・・・・★・・・・・・★・・・・・・★
Hello and thank you for submitting with us! I hope that you are also taking good care of yourself as well, and I also sincerely hope that you like who I match you up with!
I’m sorry this is so late!

𝐼 𝓈𝒽𝒾𝓅 𝓎𝑜𝓊 𝓌𝒾𝓉𝒽…
Tumblr media
I ship you with the sweet Arthur! I feel as though with your energetic personality and his somewhat energetic yet dimwitted personality could really mesh well! If your humor is everywhere and lowbrow, then you should see Arthur’s! Your and his sense of humor are quite alike, and you both can definitely laugh at the weirdest things, but it’s cute! He will think you are cute because of it! And Arthur, he is open minded too, he is a very accepting person, and he would be very accepting of you and your quirks! And he will also be impressed that you can be so articulate, unlike him lolol.
He will think it is so cool that you write poetry for fun, and how you love expressing yourself through the arts. He may not fully understand the extent of your content, but he will understand that they are very important to you, and will cherish them too! Arthur will love the fact that you are so intuitive and observant of people, because well, he isn’t. That’s why he think you are so cool, because he wouldn’t be able to pick up on those types of cues! He will also be so impressed with your fashion and how you express yourself through clothes! Arthur will definitely like if you wear medieval inspired clothing! A queen for his king!
He will think being in a dance group would be so cool! He himself can’t dance to save his life, but he would love for you to teach him, so that he can get good enough for you to dance with him! Arthur will also love the fact that you love games! He loves playing them, and would like to play with you! He would show off his favorite video games to you!
You’d tell him that music is important to you, and how you play the flute, and he’d definitely relate it to the medieval times in some way, and would want to hear you play something from that time. And when you do, he would find it amazing, impressed with how well you play!
All in all, with his own airheadedness and bravery, Arthur would be such a good fit for you! He is kind, and warm, and someone that you can rely on when you need someone to lean on! He will be impressed with everything you can do that he can’t! Arthur will treasure you as his Queen!
Tumblr media
I choose manly and chivalrous Koga as your Inuyasha boyfriend! I know this might seem like a good pair, but when I was reading through your description the first person that came to mind was Koga. He is someone that can be super serious in one second and super lighthearted in the next! He will see your airheadedness as something that is cute and charming, but he will also appreciate the fact that you are super observant and have great intuition! He would love for someone like that to be his wolf tribe leader wife! He would love to use your power to help the tribe communicate better! He will see it as a very beneficial characteristic and will be quite impressed!
Koga wouldn’t understand the notion of poetry, or reading, or writing, but when you explain to him, he will then think that it is pretty cool. Something that he wouldn’t actively pursue, but he will see that it is something that you very much enjoy and will do anything in his power to make sure that you have the tools you need so that you can properly be artistic! He will also see that your artistic expression also goes to your clothes and makeup and would be very impressed with the fact that you work it so well! He would comment saying that he could never look that good in makeup, saying you are the most beautiful he has ever seen in it, you just do it so well!
I believe that once Koga founds out that you dance and play flute, he will get super happy. Seeing as he the leader of a big demon tribe, he will have the need for entertainment in his down time, and guess what! You’re the entertainment, but in a good way! He will want to listen to you play the flute, and see what kind of melodies you play! Later on, he will have someone else who can play, so he can dance and teach you traditional demon wolf tribe dances!
All in all, Koga is more serious and calm, but with your loud energy and kind-hearted soul, he will just be sucked in by it. You will be the one to show him how to really have a good time, and you will be able to show him that sometimes you just need to take a breather and forget about the difficulties in life, especially when you are a demon leader!
Tumblr media
I chose the loud and energetic Natsu of Fairy Tail to be your boyfriend! Seeing as you are super energetic and he is super energetic and loud, you guys would be the perfect pair! Natsu will see that you are so boisterous and can’t stay in the same place for a long time, because he is the same. So he will feel a sense of bonding! When it comes to you being serious and quiet, and knowing when to be, he will think it is really cool of you, only because he doesn’t have a filter, and doesn’t know when to shut up, so maybe you can teach him a few tricks!
When he sees how open you are, he will feel happy about that! He has been in dark times, and so have many of his friends, so when he knows that you are accepting of any type of person, he will love that, and would feel comfortable introducing you to his friends! Natsu will also be surprised yet impressed with the fact that you are so observant. He is only really observant when it comes to battle, and not really when it comes to people in everyday settings, so when you show him what you can do, he will have a shocked expression the entire time! He will also love the fact that on the other end of the spectrum you can be very loud and passionate!
When he sees you are very artistic with poetry, writing, and reading, and even with your makeup and fashion, it would show him that you aren’t afraid to express yourself and be yourself, and he would absolutely love that! He will want to see the things you write, and the things you read, and the things that make you you, so he can get a better understanding of you! And when it comes to the dancing and the music, and the fact that you can play the flute, he would be impressed and hella jealous that you can do such amazing things! He would definitely ask you teach him in the future!
All in all, I think that he would be a very loving and very accepting boyfriend for you! He will take you on all of his adventures and tell you all of his secrets, and treat you like treasure, like you deserve to be treated!

Fairy Tail Unpopular Opinions
HI LOL
ok so. im taking this idea from @mika-milano bc their post was very well written, entertaining, and just a rly good idea. so check their post out!:) and thank u for the idea!
and now. a disclaimer.
so im 19 now. i started watching fairy tail when i was 14. this show has been very near and dear to me for a long time. it was one of the first anime i ever watched, and it has my favorite all time ship (gruvia ofc). also i would kind of be lying if i said that most of the reason i still keep up with the manga and show wasnt bc of gruvia. bc it is lol. but. it DEFINITELY has its flaws. and here r some of my opinions on them.
1. so much doesnt make sense
ok listen lol. i think we can all say that its kind of obvious when mashima hasnt thought things through or just pulls things out of his ass out of nowhere. i dont wanna go too in detail about this because if im being honest, there is a lot that i just flat out don't remember. what i can remember is that as the story continued to go on, things seemed to make less and less sense.
2. the best arc is the tower of heaven arc
wow ok. i cant really tell u why i love this arc so much. but i do. im not even a jerza or erza stan (i love them both, but like not my fav pairing or character by any means). but idk. something about this arc was so intriguing, intense, emotional, and just enjoyable to watch. seeing the depths of erza's background and her relationship with her past, jellal, natsu, and the rest of the guild was just amazing. idk why this arc sticks out so much to me, but it really does.
3. lisanna shouldve stayed dead
now this one isnt even bc i hate lisanna or anything. i like lisanna! i even like nali! (not as much as nalu but still). her death had such a great impact on her siblings, natsu, and the rest of the guild and watching them all have to grow past it was incredible (especially for mira and elfman!). and then they just brought her back. not only did they bring her back, but they brought her back for NO REASON! she just became another side character! when she came back to life she had no further impact on ANYTHING! and it made the whole "natsu's childhood love/bestfriend" thing seem so much less important and way more fake.
4. more ppl jus shouldve died overall
with this one im mostly just talking about makarov. but still. waaaay too much death bating. like they died and then magically came back to life. too much of it. felt like nothing was ever really at stake. im saying this but like if juvia had actually stayed dead i would have thrown a FIT lol
5. i wanted more of cana and gildarts
thats it. all i really have to say ab this one. they r cute and i wanted to see more<3
6. juvia is underrated
ok now i am SUPER fucking biased lmao. bc juvia is the BEST character in fairy tail imo. but like come on! she's beautiful, loving, smart, sweet, powerful, funny, badass! shes perfect! and shes waaaay stronger than everyone thinks she is smh. clearly she is the best choice to stan.
7. lucy is overrated
ok look. i like lucy! kind of! idk man shes smart and nice and cute but like. not as powerful as everyone thinks. she's definitely one of the most developed in terms of her strength FOR SURE but still. not very strong. and her character just aint for me:/ sorry!
8. levy should be a lot stronger than she's portrayed
it seems like for some reason since shes small that also means shes weak, but like, that just aint it. solid script magic should be really sick and she should kick ass way more than she does especially for how smart she is but no. mashima always makes her the helpless one:/ rly sad bc i like levy a lot and ik she could be way more badass.
9. the only ship that i rly just flat out hate is gr*ylu.
like nali? i like them! nerza? fine! grayza? also dont like and are second to gr*ylu but i mean i dont have a fiery hatred! lyvia? cool! gratsu? sure! all of them i can get behind in some way ahape or form but i just HATE gr*ylu. idk why i hate them so much but i just really do lol.
10. fairy tail's old animation was way better
while i do think every character got like way more attractive with the new animation, the rest is just bad. not nearly as pretty, crisp, consistent, or colorful. its just blah. sorry sis thats the tea.
ok so there r 10 unpopular ft opinions! please dont yell at me lol! if u wanna have a discussion, we can discuss but these r just my opinions! thank u!:)❤️
