Time for another profile on a rare Spider-Man supporting cast member. Meet Ann Macintosh, society page writer for the Daily Bugle. We first meet her in Amazing Spider-Man Annual 18 for the wedding of J Jonah Jameson and Marla Madison.
Her hair color changes quickly for her 2nd appearance which is helpful since Mary Jane was returning to the book and you'd be forgiven for thinking that was MJ in her first appearance.
When I say minor I mean it. Ann's next appearance is just her making out in a closet at the Bugle with a coworker. (in his only ever appearance) She's got different hair and a different spelling.
But that make-out one was in Spectacular S-M not Amazing S-M so we're back to Ann's actual role of Betty Brant's confidant and the Bugle's resident gossip.
Fully 9 years later at the tail end of the clone saga Pete and MJ are back in the Daily Bugle offices and point out Ann Macintosh. Never really connected sums her up.
In her 6th and final appearance Ann Macintosh actually got to do something. In 1997's Daily Bugle #3, a black & white comic about the non-super-hero goings on at the Bugle, Ann is part of a team of reporters that crack the case that has lead to Betty Brant's kidnapping.
So there you go. That's Ann Macintosh. She rated enough to get a headshot in The Official Handbook of the Marvel Universe. Now you know everything there is to know about her.

Just finished j.l.b duology debutantes and…..WOW
IF YOU THOUGHT THE HAWTHORNES HAD FAMILY DRAMA/TRAUMA/CRAZY FAMILIAL RELATIONS/ AND PATERNITY PROBLEMS YOU HAVE NO IDEA WHAT THE TAFT AND AMES FAMILY HAVE. IF YOU THOUGHT THEIR FAMILY TREE WAS CONFUSING IDK EVEN KNOW HOW THEIR ALL RELATED AT THIS POINT. ITS A ROLLERCOASTER.
IF YES IS NO AND UP IS DOWN WHO ARE THE COUSINS AND WHO ARE THE HALF SIBLINGS.
WHO IMPREGNATED WHO?
WHO DID WHAT? AND WHEN? WHY!?
Honestly it reminded me that the ship is the least of our worries when it comes to j.l.b ……im truly terrified
Also Sawyer Ann Taft is my favorite person ever. She is now replacing Nikolai Lanstov on my top 5.
Also poor Swayer got into a whole mess but she isn’t getting 49 billion only half a million
