Dazzler is not amused with the idea of being given a new show with Starfox as a co-star by Mojo. As Dazzler attacks Mojo, this prompts Spiral to defend her boss (or rather "President") of Mojoworld. Since Dazzler had attacked 'President' Mojo in front of everyone, she gets into trouble when she is branded as a terrorist of Mojoworld.
The Longshot mini series premiered with a cover date of September, 1985. The issue introduced Longshot, Eliot, Hester and her baby, Pup (MaGog), Gog, Quark, and Spiral created by Ann Nocenti and Arthur Adams. ("A Man Without a Past", Longshot, Marvel Comic Event)
Out of curiosity, what's the current status of the Mojoverse and some of its characters? I'm thinking Mojo, Spiral, and Longshot
So the Mojoverse’s business model has shifted over to streaming, marked by a Darwinian struggle between influencers trapped in always-on contracts that make the worst of K-pop and C-pop look like a worker’s paradise, and the combination of reality-tv style constant surveillance via drones is matched with extreme content like live snuff channels and blood sports. Spiral is both a leading influencer and a producer.
When X-Factor discovered that Mojo was “farming” mutants via a corrupted version of resurrection, they worked with Dazzler’s band and Shatterstar to launch a multimedia coup, liberate mutants working in the industry, and make the Mojoverse a protectorate of Krakoa. I don’t know how that was affected by the fall of Krakoa. Haven’t seen much of Longshot lately- I think the last we saw of him was in 2018 when Domino and her Posse helped cure him when his luck powers went haywire, but’s I believe he’s on Earth now.
i’ve never posted anything i’ve drawn but i had a lot of fun with this one and i might as well!! been thinking about the girlies a lot lately (the girlies being longshot, spiral, and shatterstar)
AN X-EMPLARY POWER COUPLE FOR THE '90s -- WELCOME TO MOJOWORLD.
PIC INFO: Spotlight on a close-up shot of Dazzler and Longshot, from a time in Mojoworld's history when these two are married and fighting a war against Mojo, artwork by Jim Lee (and Scott Williams?), c. 1991, from the "Things to Come" teaser/promo pin-up and/or poster.
Dazzler is so funny because categorically prolonged exposure to the mojoverse makes you transgender and gay (Rachel, Longshot, Shatterstar, Spiral/Ricochet) but Alison Blaire’s straight woman vibes are so powerful that she managed to remain untouched. All of her friends and family members become extremely powerful homosexuals and she’s sitting there like a frog in a pot of water like “this is fine :) why is Longshot wearing my skirt though :)”
No matter where they try to run, hide or teleport; Dazzler and Starfox are still chased by Mojo and Spiral who launch missiles at them. Then, they teleport to the worse spot where Mojo and Spiral are. Dazzler had enough of those shenanigans and she snatches a microphone from Mojo. It turns out that the microphone is actually the MacGuffin Shard all along. After taking the MacGuffin Shard, the weary Dazzler asks Starfox to get the hell out of Mojoworld.
The X-Babies (Sugah, Wolvie, Lil Dazzler, Lil Havok, Shower, Lil Longshot, Colossusus, and Psychilde) invaded Earth 616 in the one shot Excalibur Mojo Mayhem (cover date December, 1989) where they encountered Kitty Pryde and eventually the rest of Excalibur (Captain Britain, Nightcrawler, Rachel Summers Phoenix, and Meggan) WHO (lead by Professor Alistaire Stuart and Brigadier Alysande Stuart) and the comic book creaters Chris Claremont, Grant Morrison, and John Bolton. They escaped Mojo World and the Trademark Police through The House of Ideas (Marvel) in the place in there called The House of Jack (Kirby) and Stan (Lee). They were being chased by the Agent who could steal their abilities if they signed a contract. ("Mojo Mayhem" Excalibur, Marvel Comic Event)
