Family Photo
Vs The Photo Casey brings back from the future
Im gonna throw hands with Splinter. Why is he so hard to draw ;-;
*sobs*
Anyways,
Little bit of context;
Donnie destroyed the photo (woulda destroyed the whole thing, but Mikey stopped him) after Leo abandoned everyone when he realized he caused the apocolypse. Casey never met Leo in the bad future.
This is for my seperated Leo Au that I'll post more about after the crossover :D
It does have a happy ending, theres just a shitton of angst first, of course
I spent so many hours on this so I wanted to share

i'm desperate to know how many notebooks you have filled with these drawings. i must know, please, i'm on my hands and knees
Most of my comics are drawn on standard letter paper (8.5"x11"), and to date I have filled 23 pages! I usually manage to fit roughly 6-8 comics per page.
Mspaint recreation of the first page!

Props my head up in my hands I really really want to draw a lot more this year so. What kind of content do you all want to see from me. What do you desire. What do you CRAVE. What characters or ships or AUs that I’ve made do you miss and would die to see. I will jot down every idea sent my way and hold it close to my heart over the next year so that I may put pen to tablet and draw them

tsumugi being so fucked in the head and devoted to eichi that he doesnt see an issue in trampling over innocent people but still recognizes that. obviously people may come to hate them for this. people are being sacrificed after all. and hes okay with that. hes so disconnected from it all that none of this phases him, even allowing natsume to get physical with him if he so pleases because god. all this man does is please
it all sucks so fucking bad though bc like. yea eichis plan worked in the end. tsumugis judgement wasnt exactly wrong. but tsumugi went along with it under the assumption that him and eichi had something. that even once the contract expired, theyd continue working together. but just like with natsume, this war ended up costing tsumugi the people he cared about. completely tossed aside once the gig was up. yumenosaki is better now, sure, but despite tsumugis claims of "no matter what anyone does to me, i cant feel anything," once the war was over and he was left all by himself natsume noted that he felt like if tsumugi was left by himself for longer he may do something reckless like take his own life. thats how badly this got to him. and in the end, after everything they went through, after everything they lost, natsume and tsumugi were left with only each other as they sat by that burning pile of documents

It’s definitely not halfway through the year and I’m definitely not concerned about it (/s) but anyway @librarycarrd tagged me so here are my Favorite Books So Far. Cheated a bit with Detransition Baby because I’m 2/3s through but hey why deny what’s obviously true. And not for lack of options! It clearly outshone anything else I could’ve put there.
Left to right, top to bottom:
Confessions of the Fox by Jordy Rosenberg
Lanternfish Press’s 2019 edition of Carmilla by Sheridan Le Fanu, featuring footnotes and an introduction from Carmen Maria Machado
People Love Dead Jews by Dara Horn
Gideon the Ninth, Harrow the Ninth, and Nona the Ninth (ARC) by Tamsyn Muir
Detransition, Baby by Torrey Peters
Theft by Finding (the ‘77-’02 diaries of David Sedaris)
Happy-Go-Lucky by David Sedaris
Tagging: @lazarusemma @fluoresensitive @butchniqabi @furiousfinnstan @pleuvoire @maslowshierarchyofweeds @transillidan @3by7 @shrumpo @cammysashimi @barrowdowns @ceecil and seriously WHOEVER wants to show me their books I would LOVE to see your books I will NEVER say no to seeing your books please show me your books. Thinking about how in the USA (and other largely car-dependent places) it’s such a thing in the culture for teenagers to “have their first real taste of independence” when they get a license. I don’t know how to articulate this well but ... I feel like traveling, like literally just HAVING THE ABILITY to go somewhere, is so fundamental to humans in so many ways. Like developmentally, emotionally, physically, socially, it’s important to simply even just have the option. I just really fucking hate that without access to a car, you’re nearly entirely stationary unless someone else forces or permits you to exist somewhere else. It’s extremely ironic to me that cars are touted to youth as the great marker of independence and individualism. To me, there’s nothing more independent or individualist than not being FORCED TO RELY on someone or something else to simply move from one place to another. At a young age where are certainly old enough to be in public by yourself, you do not become independent by having your license and driving -- you are only shifting your dependencies.

I don’t quite get why people get so defensive when someone simply points out that LXC is directly responsible for his brother’s punishment. Because he is. LXC is the sect leader. It’s ultimately his decision. However, it’s up to the readers to decide how to feel about it. Some may find it too charitable. Others might cheer him up for it. Personally, I think it’s not his proudest moment. I doubt he feels good about it. It happens. As to 33 wronged “grandpas”, 1) they were senior disciples whose actual age is unknown, and 2) we don’t really know what they intended to do if someone who’s not a raging psychopath had to fight them. That cave scene is pretty vague. We don’t know how the fight actually started only that it did. Were they going to kill WWX? To kill both of them? I dunno. In any case, my sympathies are ultimately with someone who got his back flayed open which took 3 years to recover. I feel like whoever inflicted the punishment is pretty damn fine, they got their justice. But ymmv 💁♀️
????? ok?
