are primary kids still being taught how to be reverent during sacrament meeting?? idk man 😭 maybe it’s because i’m used to student wards where everyone is quiet because they don’t want to draw attention to themselves, but ever since coming home to my family ward I cannot focus in sacrament meeting because of all the kids talking and crying and making other noise

I know that’s just how kids are; they make noise and don’t like to sit still for an hour and are fussy. and part of it is my fault for having ADHD and sensory issues that get exacerbated by kids making noise in chapels. and I like kids, I know they don’t have a ton of control over their attention spans. but also, their parents are not doing anything to keep them quiet. during sacrament meeting today there was a boy whistling during a talk and his parents weren’t doing anything! they were just on their phones

it’s not my place to tell parents how to deal with their children, but idk I think when kids are going to be present in a place of worship they need to be taught that constant talking and playing on tablets and snoring and laughing and whining aren’t ok 🙃
