He likes Joel, is the thing. The universe tied them together --literally-- at random. There's nothing poetic about the match, but Bdubs thinks that they make a good team anyway.

the only memories i have of playing kirby games involved playing my cousins copies of kirby games; one of the original first gameboy game, and some other kirby game my cousins had on DS that i played during church as a kid (i think it had multicoloured kirbys, i don't exactly remember too well)

Ok maybe I’m just full on clowning here but what if Lizzie isn’t vital to winning because of her powers but because of her influence over keeping Hopes humanity on? Like we have flat out seen how Lizzie draws out Hopes humanity and how she has stopped her from tuning it back off, and you can bet your ass that if Lizzie died that would be a breaking point for Hope. She would once again have it hammered home that everyone she loves is going to die, even Lizzie, who signs point to she was no longer afraid was going to die and leave her because she was also a powerful immortal.

Oooh! I love this angle, it'd make sense especially since her first fight w/ Ken Hope wasn't even using her full power. She seemed more concerned w/ making sure Lizzie was okay.
