fate season two spoilers

say what you will about fate not being accurate to winx or whatever but as far as adaptations go, this ones pretty damn close i mean the scrapers, the witches, the dragon flame all plot points in the original show now the fashion choices were way off and i stand by that but putting the trix into one character and naming her beatrix is pretty clever, making faragonda into farah was a smart choice too, changing flora to terra and referencing flora and then bringing her in doesnt make much sense but rivens character is spot on the whole time and i think fate flora represents winx flora pretty well anyway but i love terra, point is fate changed some characters but that does usually happen when making something live action and they drew the plot entirely from the original show i mean bloom doesnt know who she is or where she comes from, shes found and has the dragon flame and the witches want it from her and she gives it to them to save her friends but wins anyway right so aside from those predicted character changes and questionable fashion choices, the only thing wrong with fate is all the useless deaths

you already know who she is bc she's the most iconic companion of all time. imagine teleporting into the tardis on the worst day of the doctor's life (so far) and not clocking any of his angst and SCREAMING at him to take you back to your wedding not only is this THE funniest introduction it's symbolizing how she saw the doctor at their worst, underneath the front that they put up, and due to this she understands them on a level like nothing else and changes their life forever. "you don't just need someone to stop you, you need someone to keep you going". having read nearly all of the Jeeves short stories, it’s so funny to me that Bertie’s bisexuality manifests as casting a wide but shallow net at girls and a narrow but ridiculously deep net at men. He thinks girls are pretty on a reasonably frequent basis, and has tried to marry at least four women thus far (not counting the unwanted engagements), but when it doesn’t work out he’s over it in 24 hours. Meanwhile he shows absolutely no interest in and never gives flattering depictions of 99% of the men in his life, but will praise Jeeves to anyone who will listen, wax poetic about his appearance (and get defensive on his behalf about it when a child insults it), and is absolutely inconsolable when they are separated.

(also Bertie is in no way allosexual. he is canonically terrified at the thought of reproducing. and due to the narrow but deep net on the other end I don’t imagine he’s going around sleeping with loads of men, either. that man’s either demi as hell or just entirely ace)

Whenever a cartoon or any piece of media’s final part or finale disappoints me (In this case SPOP season 5. I won’t deny that the previous seasons had flaws, but at least the overall show was enjoyable at the time IMHO.) I try to just be like “That sucked” and move on to something better. It’s far easier said than done. I always manage to find something better, but that feeling of disappointment in the previous thing is very hard to shake off. I often think about just how good SPOP’s final season could’ve been if it cared about Adora, Catra, Bow,Glimmer, and all the other characters as, well, characters, and not components to bad ships.

that's exactly how i feel! when you enjoy a show so much and you have high hopes for it, the final season being a trainwreck hits you really hard. i felt the same with amphibia and the owl house. all these shows had the potential to be something great but for some reason, they don't know how to wrap up a story well. so you're left behind wondering about how great it would have been if these writers were competent and tried to write a coherent ending, instead of rushing things and scrapping off important plotlines.
