Just remembered I need to let everyone know that the title of Jeeves and the Tie that Binds is a reference to a hymn called “Blessed Be the Tie That Binds” and these are the lyrics:
1. Blessed be the tie that binds
Our hearts in Christian love;
The fellowship of kindred minds
Is like that to that above.
2. Before our Father's throne
We pour our ardent prayers;
Our fears, our hopes, our aims are one
Our comforts and our cares.
3. We share each other's woes,
Our mutual burdens bear;
And often for each other flows
The sympathizing tear.
4. When we asunder part,
It gives us inward pain;
But we shall still be joined in heart,
And hope to meet again.
5. This glorious hope revives
Our courage by the way;
While each in expectation lives,
And longs to see the day.
6. From sorrow, toil and pain,
And sin, we shall be free,
And perfect love and friendship reign
Through all eternity.

The hour remained rather on the painful side of ack-emma, but the lark was on the wing, the snail on the thorn, and Jeeves in my room doing the important work of restoring this Wooster to the world, body and soul.
"Jeeves, you stand alone," I said after I had a bit of that.
"If I may be so bold, sir, I think I no longer do."

Jeeves and Wooster are truly one of the character dynamics of all time. Genius/himbo. Unflappable confidence/manic nervous energy. Manipulative bastard/naive ray of sunshine he’s devoted himself to protecting. Servant bound by a rigid class hierarchy/golden retriever puppy too simple and kindhearted to think of him as beneath him. Bertie is such a classic wife guy only the wife is a man who’s also his servant and they’re not married. I can’t believe they’re not already viral on Tumblr.

sorry, sorry, sorry, the tv show jeeves & wooster ends in bertie getting engaged to two women by accident (he asked neither) being forced into a wedding day due to manners, jeeves then rescues him via a "does anyone know why these two should not marry" themes scene in the church. also included wistfully looking out the window on the day of the wedding waiting for jeeves to return with the evidence needed to cancel the wedding and bertie having a look of absolute joy as he's standing by the alter and jeeves enters the church door to decalres he doesnt have to go ahead with the wedding. hello???????????????
also haunted by images of the midnight strolls in the gardens that are very popular in fics
