What are some of your spirit hcs?
Idk if you meant generalized or specific spirits but I went generalized but if u want specific spirit hcs lemme know!!, I forget what I have said before and what I haven’t so sorry if I’ve repeated old news!! i tried not to tread over stuff i said before so i may be missing stuff
There’s a lot more spirits that we don’t see, I imagine the kingdom to be huge in comparison to what we see ingame, but out of the spirits we do see and meet there are still plenty we don’t see. Some constellations have empty stars; I headcanon those to be ancestors who were close to the group hence part of their constellation (since I see them as a ancestor thing, not just spirits), but unfortunately didn’t become a spirit because of circumstances. Or the second option is they became a spirit, but aren’t apart of that constellation anymore for some reason.
Spirits often have poor memory due to the whole point of reliving memories is to find and bring their lost memories back to them based on TS splash text, so I think it’s common for those ancestors that didn’t become spirits to be lost and forgotten unfortunately….
I hc that the type of spirit memory (gather, carry and normal) sometimes correlate to how the ancestor died, (ie carry spirits often had a slow demise and need the extra helping hand to recover their memories)
I hc ancestors to be very similar to skykids actually! I think they are both deeply intertwined with stars and fall from stars like skykids do, having shells to protect an inner light and a light core, there’s key differences as skykids are capable of flight while ancestors are completely flightless, and skykids have an extremely strong light compared to ancestors, but I enjoy thinking they’re similar bc skykids are the descendants of ancestors
Light is constantly rebirthing and in a cycle, it never truly dies, I like to hc skykids are the descendants of ancestors as well, because the light that belonged to those who didn’t become spirits, rebirthed into the inner light skykids hold (not the wl), very much the materials of a supernova being used to make new stars (eden diamond explosion theory = supernova comparison my beloved ohoho)
The skykid naming scheme (random name gen) derives from the ancestors! However a few spirits don’t remember their name and most don’t like to say their name and will refer to eachother using titles out of respect.
Ancestors are all agender (skykids as well), I like to imagine they use various pronouns since they’re not gendered like ours and I hc self expression is important, woe neo pronouns be upon ur spirits
Self expression is also why theres wide variety of mask paints and mask variations even between animals (the performance masks) and valley being the artsy place being the height of the old civilization :]
I imagine that ascending spirits would be the end, but due to the state of things they can’t truly ascend just yet, darkness keeping part of them stuck and the light still being recovered (which is why we deliver winged light to orbit in my hc), I think one day they will truly be able to ascend;
I like to imagine that there’s a lot more ancestor and skykid interaction, I can see sanctuary guide training a few skykids to take over the sanctuary, windpath caretakers, performance spirits working with skykids at the forge, one day skykids will inherit everything, but for now thet work in tandem with their ancestors spirits
Also the reason why we give them candles for cosmetics is because I hc skykids project light for cosmetics so candles act to quantify light so the spirit and skykid can make the light cosmetics together :]

Time to get the ball rolling on this. We want pronoun options in @Pokemon.
For all those they/them & neo-pronoun peeps, we should have the option to choose our pronouns (incl gender-neutral) & have the ability to change them after character creation.
Better yet, we want to be able to input our own pronouns at character creation, so that we can use neopronouns.

I Don't Understand How Anyone Has Time For the Online Queer Community
neo pronoun discourse isn't new
you'd have to touch grass to talk to the queer community
so many people want to have it both ways
appealing to the good old days and hating my generation because I think it makes me special
Queer family members are cool, my queer friends are great, historical figures are great to know about, and past and current entertainers are fun.
Fucking, that's about it. I don't know how people can put up with this community beyond its art and culture. At least not online. I notice that when I talk to queer people in real life, it's completely fine. Even the terminally online ones who talk about nothing but Lemon Demon songs and the Owl House are far more bearable in real life than they would be if I saw them scrolling through Tumblr or Twitter.
I cannot stand the online queer landscape. It is unbarably white and uppermiddle class. Like, if "You should ask everyone you meet what their pronouns are," is a take you can seriously consider, you are previlaged. You likely live in a well-off, more liberial place. Good for you, but most people aren't like that, and quite frankly you're sucking up too much air out of the room.
Honestly, if there's someone reading this who's interested in online queer culture or politics, I would say to that person, "Don't get involved." The online community has nothing to offer anyone other than Bi/Pan discourse, TERF rhetoric, and ageism. Ageism technically goes both ways, but you'll see more of Gen Z's side of it since most of us are terminally online.
So many people online try to have it both ways too. It's like, on one hand, they are the most oppressed group in the US. On the other hand, it's okay to be gay and you should be out and proud and disown anyone who doesn't accept you. So like, bitch, which is it? Is it okay to be out and proud, or is it not?
A part of me would like to imagine that the infighting wasn't as bad before the internet. As back then, if you wanted to interact with the community, you would have to actually touch grass, sneak out of your house, or live in the community if you were unfortunate enough to get rejected by your parents. Then again, I know that a lot of the discourse we're having now isn't new. I think even the neo pronoun thing is relatively old. Besides, I'm sick of appealing to the good old days of some shit I ain't ever lived and hating my own generation because I think it makes me special or less ageist somehow.
When I'm not ranting to my friends about current events, the place that I'm at with the queer community is, "I love and cherish my queer friends and family, as I know they do me. I appreciate those who came before me and fought for people like me, even if I don't know all of their names, and I'm happy to be able to see queer, iconic entertainers in the limelight. As for the rest of you, I guess you're here too."

Hi again, doctor Baker anon here!
I have a character that is genderfluid and I would like them to use some neos, but I'm not that sure which (Once again). Do you think you can suggest me some? They are a main character and I like to use multiple pronouns so readers can relate to the character more (in third person).
Their name is Mitch, they are now They/He/She/Fae/Myth pronounfluid. They are a reporter for a magazine called Cryptidcore, that is specialised on cryptids and paranormal events. Mitch lives in a little town near a forest and are well known there. They would usualy go out to inspect local legends or when someone says they saw something they would look at it. Mitch is easily excited and gullible, but tries to make everything logical (even if their logic involves paranormal as an argument).

hello again!! so, i have a few ideas, and i'm sure you have heard of one or more of these, but perhaps these might work? i was thinking, stra(y)/strange, cree/creep, and myst/mystery. let's try them out shall we?
I got a new message recently about an OC, stranges name is Mitch. It looks like stra is very interesting, let's see how well I do at describing strange! Firstly, stra has a few different pronouns stra likes to use, and I think that's really cool of strange! It seems as though stra's looking for new pronouns though, and I'm very happy to help strange out!
It seems Mitch has a cool job looking for cryptids, and cree spends most of creeps time looking for and reporting on mysterious paranormal activity. I imagine that cree likes creeps job, writing stories for the magazine cree works for. I would love to read creeps stories, I'm sure cree does wonderfully with creeps work!!
I also heard that myst is pretty gullible. That's okay, a lot of people are, and there's nothing wrong with mystery being gullible! The fact that myst tries to bring up logical arguments for anything myst deems worthy is pretty cool, I'd love to debate mystery sometime! Honestly, Mitch sounds like myst would be pretty cool, and hanging around mystery would be fun!

hi i just wanted to ask a question since you use only neo pronouns and i really hope this doesnt sound offensive bc its a genuine question and im not at all trying to sound rude
is it considered transphobic to not want to interact with someone who uses only neo pronouns? not because its like "im not going to respect this person pronouns bc i dont believe in neo pronouns" way but in a "it makes me stressed out that im going to misgender this person because this person uses ONLY neopronouns, and neopronouns are still very confusing for me and hard to use" way? i think your really cool but i dont want to misgender you, but im still very new to neo pronouns and my brain cant quite wrap around it. if you'd like me to not interact with you due to this then thats perfectly okay! or if you deem this as problematic im so sorry im trying to learn but my brain just struggles. i just want to know how you feel about it
