not to talk about beth and rick but let me talk about beth and rick
okay so Listen prime dimension beth was Raised and Abandoned by prime rick which leads to something we don’t talk about which is rick prime and his backstory like he Had a diane and a beth so What happened
*also side note something I didn’t like about season 7 is primes whole “you and I are the only two ricks that invented portal tech” because Listen actually this goes back to the main point hold on
okay so when rick fucks up prime dimension he moves to c151 right but he never really mentions how similar prime and c151 Are like is it just identical enough for morty not to notice? more Importantly what about beth’s life? is c151 beth’s upbringing the same as prime beth? actually I bring up a great point why don’t we ever talk about actual c151 rick because Listen beth and ricks relationship as father and daughter is based on them being father and daughter but c137 rick isn’t Really beth’s father But he still bears the weight of the guilt of abandoning her (even tho c137 Never abandoned his beth) but More interestingly is abcs of beth because rick and beth look at the stuff rick made beth as a kid Meaning c151 rick had to have been very similar to c137 and does that mean that prime rick Also made toys? I always think about rick and beth and their father daughter dynamic but we don’t talk about is that it’s an Infinite dynamic
*okay back to the side thought so similarly to how other ricks made the toys and this share a past/timeline with c137 and Listennnnn there are Infinite dimensions, INFINITE like that’s been the Whole point and that means that there are infinite versions of c137 ricks and prime ricks so they Can’t be the only Two ricks to create portal tech do you get it that doesn’t make Sense
*I think season 7 continued to add on to this concept of rick as a god BUT it pressed too much that c137 is The Rick like they’ve said it before and I get it but sometimes I think they ignore the beauty of the infinite and the vital fact that We Are All Meaningless which is so often the Point

Admit it. Rick Sanchez X F!Reader
Word count: 2,382
Rick was... out of it, I guess you could say he was still himself, but not really he just seemed, off. When Morty tried to ask if anything was wrong, Rick would respond in a "normal" Rick way but, it seemed forced. It was barely noticeable but he could tell, even though after Rick basically told him to fuck off he dropped it. It was just after the whole incident with Unity, which didn't make sense to Morty because it seemed like Rick had gotten what he needed and wanted from her, or it, or they, he didn't really know how to refer to the entity, but that's besides the point.
He had spent the whole night in the garage when Morty woke up for school the next morning he found his grandfather passed out at his work bench with a strange device looming over his head. Morty didn't know why but looking at it sent dread coursing through his body, he had a feeling he knew someone who could help him and his grandpa. She was... Rick's friend? (Y/n) (L/n), well honestly he didn't know what their relationship was at the moment, because a few years ago she used to visit daily but again that was years ago, he thinks they might have gotten in a fight or something. But if anyone could help him, it was her.
So he asked his mom to give him a ride to her house, but it took some convincing because what mother wouldn't question why her 14 year old son is going to a 23 year olds house by himself, like what kinda porn set up type bullshit, but after he explained his concerns for his grandpa she agreed. Once he got there he told his mom he would get a ride home and she complied and left. He rang the doorbell of the large house and waited, once the door opened he felt like all the air had been knocked out of his lungs.
She was absolutely gorgeous, her (S/C) skin looked so beautiful in the sun's light and her (long, short, medium) (straight, curly, wavey, kinky) (H/C) hair was beautiful. She was (Tall/short) and (Skinny, medium, thick) it made Morty wonder if her and Rick were ever more than friends at one point. What really got to him was what she was wearing, it was a matching set, a long sleeve sweater and shorts  "Morty? Hello? You alright there kid?" He snapped out of his trance and nodded "Sorry, and sorry again for showing up unannounced but i need your help."
She looked at him for a couple of seconds before sighing "Listen first come in it's weird talking outside like this, and second, if this has anything to do with Sanchez I'm sorry but i can't help you." He frowned, why did she call him Sanchez? And why did her (E/C) eyes look so sad when she said it? He came in and she led him to her living room where they sat on the couch "So what happened?" He asked her, he really thought if he knew why she suddenly stopped talking to Rick he would be able to help "Morty, i guarantee if Rick is going through something right now it hasn't got anything to do with me, we haven't talked in years."
How did she know? "How do you know that's the problem?" he asked, she giggled playfully rolling her eyes at him "Rick and i used to work together, well if you could really even call it that, it was more like working next to each other and having conversations. But we were also intimate with each other and i know the only reason you would be here without him is because there's a problem concerning him."
His eyes widened if Rick worked with her that could only mean that she was a genius too, so if they were partners and lovers in one way or another then how could she not be the problem? But then again they hadn't talked in years. She was right there was no way she could be the cause of his grandpa acting strange. With that he felt pretty much defeated, what now? He didn't know how to contact anyone else or even who to talk to, it took him almost two weeks just to find her and she lived on earth there was no way in fuck he’d be able to get in contact with anyone else without Rick.
"So what do i do now (Y/N)? I just want grandpa Rick to go back to normal, I can tell he’s faking being his old self." He sighed and dropped his head, his shoulders slumped, he resembled a kicked puppy in all honesty, they stood in silence for a while before she sighed, "Have you met Unity? Or has he talked to them recently?" she asked with an almost sour look on her face, Morty nodded "Well there you go, she probably fucked him then left again" Morty had an oo0oh moment and nodded.
"Just like all things he'll get over it, now i think it's about time i take you back home yeah?" He nodded, but now he felt kind of bad she seemed really, bothered by something . "(Y/N) have you ever liked Rick? Or you know when you used to come over a lot were you together?" He asked as they walked out the door and to her car. "Yes, we did date at the time, well what i thought was dating until he bluntly told me it was nowhere near that and i was just quote un quote, "something to do." As they got in the car Mortys mouth dropped open no wonder she just disappeared from their life like that.
"i-im sorry Rick’s a real dick sometimes" she shrugged and focused her eyes on the road, ”Listen Morty your grandpa is a lot of things, a dick especially, and when it comes to emotions, especially his own, he becomes a coward, please Morty i know you've picked up about 300 shitty casualties from him but avoid that like your life depends on it. Okay? Or at least promise to try?” Morty could tell how serious she was without even looking at her.
The rest of the ride was silent, once she pulled into the driveway of Morty’s house she groaned seeing that the garage was open and Rick was standing in front of it. With his arms crossed, the moment his eyes landed on (Y/n) she felt her stomach drop, her hands were shaking, which Morty noticed. "Fuck me" she said under her breath, Morty got out the car but she stayed still almost frozen. "B-Bout damn time yo-ughh- you got here." Morty groaned "How did you even know I left?" Rick rolled his eyes "your mom o-obviously di-ugh-dipshit." Morty shook his head and waved goodbye to (y/n).
She waved back, she jumped when she realized Rick was now at her window motioning for her to get out she rolled her eyes before reluctantly getting out. He looked her up and down before stopping and staring at her lips, his eyes just sat there for a good minute before she cleared her throat. "Did you have something to say or did you just wanna stand here lookin’ stupid?" He scoffed before taking a swig of his flask "Y-You know yo-ughhh you never wer- seemed like one to hold a g-grudge. Thought yo-you wou-ughh would have got- been over it b-by now."
she stared at him with a blank expression before she back handed him sending him stumbling "wha-what the fuck!?" he exclaimed as he looked at her he was gonna say more till he noticed the tears streaming down her expressionless face "How long have we known each other rick?" he looked at her questionably "hey y-your ughh c--" she cut him off her voice a little louder than before "How fucking long rick?" he stood up right and looked into her watery (e/c) eyes as he held his cheek. "5 years" she nodded "and how many times in those 5 years did you introduce me to the many girls you fucked, the girls you ploughed mindlessly just to get off?”
he looked at her questionably again "none." he said simply "how many of them did you introduce to birdperson, or squanchy, or the people you know from other fuckin universes, Matter of fuckin’ fact, how many of those whores did you see walking around with different dimension ricks at the citadle?" he didn't have to think at all before saying "none" she nodded
"Rick not only, not fuckin’ only did you introduce me to squanchy, birdperson, and other Rick’s and their (y/n), when you decided you were ready to go back into Beths life you introduced me to your family, to your only daughter, to your nephew, your niece, and the dickhead that you cant fuckin’ stand for knockin you daughter up, that that in itself should be enough proof that im not just a hole off the street for you to have fun with" he stood silently still looking into her (e/c) eyes.
"And that the crazy fuckin’ thing rRick! not once did we even have sex, we never went further than sleep naked together! So for you to have looked me directly in my fucking face, and tell me that I was simply something to do didn't hurt, what hurt was the fact that you lied! You lied Rick! Straight through yo motha fuckin’ teeth! The fact that you're a genius doesn't mean shit to me when you don't even have the damn brain capacity to admit when you care about someone! You are a fuckin coward! I know you're scared to be hurt again, fine! But dont fucking pussy out and act like the shit that we had meant nothing!"
Rick was at a lost for words he didn't want to get attached to anyone since Diane and he knew that, he watched as (Y/n) wiped the tears from her eyes ``It hurts like a bitch to love someone so much, and to know that they love you back but won't admit it, it just makes you feel like they’re ashamed of you, like you're ashamed of me, Rick i asked for nothing when we first met." she sighed
“I told you that i just wanted to learn, you took that as if i can get the bitch to trust me enough i can eventually fuck her, yet you never even made a move Rick, your exact words were, i dont want you talking to anyone else, and i accepted that as your fucked up way of asking me out. i never once asked to label us because i already knew what we were, i thought i actually meant something to you.” The two sat in silence for a couple minutes she had hoped he would say something, and when he didn't she shook her head and got ready to get back in her car " I have to go, tell Morty to come see me whenever i guess." she turned ready to get in her car till she fell through a lime green portal. She landed in Rick's room, on his bed to be exact Rick soon came in after opening another portal and walked through.
“When normal people want to talk they usually use their words.” she said as she rolled her eyes and stoop up intending to leave, she wasn't the person she was 5 years ago, he couldn't kiss and caress his way out of this one. She was sick of him talking his way out of things his words couldn't be trusted and his actions were misleading so at this point fuck it, fuck him, fuck his hugs, his kisses, his scent, fuck the way he looked at her with longing eyes and made her weak in the knees.
Fuck everything, enough was enough, either he wanted to be with her, or he didnt those were his options, she hadnt even realized tears were freely falling down her (S/C) cheeks, she was shaking, she had tried to pursue a relationship with at least 10 other men and it all failed, she was taping her foot fast with her arms crossed as she kept looking at the ground
She didnt want him to see her like that the man had barely said a fuckin word and here she stood crying her eyes out, damn near hyperventilating “I’m sorry … you’re right, i am a fuckin coward and everything you said is true … fuck this is making me nauseous, all this sappy bullshit, to sum up this shit show of our relationship i love you, i am a cunt for pulling that bullshit, like you didnt mean anything to me because unfortunately you do, i gave into the pathetic chemical reaction that makes me just as human and vulnerable as the rest of our shitty race, hell i might even be a little less Rick because of this shit but if it means you wont disappear again …. It's worth it.”
She slowly approached Rick and buried her face in his chest as she cried, finally the dickhead admitted to well, being a dickhead and a liar, and a coward, and a cunt pussy shit fuck bastard, and his way of apologizing, it was.. Shitty but that's what she expected, he held her tightly kissing the top of her head inhaling her sent messaging her scalp through her (kinky, curly, thick, straight) hair
Once again they'd be sharing the night together she already knew he wasn't letting her leave so after she had stopped crying and did all the things she needed to do before she went to sleep she crawled into bed with him usually shed sleep on his chest but tonight rick insisted on sleeping on her chest probably his way of making sure she stayed there. Of course the two were butterball ass naked it was the only way she could sleep, “i love you” rick said just as she was drifting to sleep she smiled and kissed his forehead “i love you too.”

Drabble of Punk losing Diane
“Diane!”
Rick yelled as he climbed up from the floor of his clone chamber, located in the cellar of the small home. His head was still swimming from the explosion not moments ago. He could smell the burning of the house above him and grimaced, slipping in the amniotic fluid, flooding the cold cement floor beneath his feet while rushing his way up the steps.
Grunting as he tried to push his way through the doors, Rick frowned, unable to get the door to budge with the rubble of the house laying on top of it. His mind racing through all the possibilities of what could be waiting for him on the other side. He could already feel the heat of the fire on the door and knew it wasn’t going to be anything good.
With any luck she could be fine, just knocked out, a few broken bones  maybe? He knew he was kidding himself, his experiment went wrong, the explosion could have leveled the entire block with the force he felt go through him in that split second before he woke up down here.
Rushing around the room, Rick didn’t take long to throw together a make shift blaster to blow open the doors. He didn’t even wait for the dust to settle before tearing through the opening, his skin burning with every foot fall and shove of what he could move. Pieces of his previous corpse, scattered around the burning inferno but he still couldn’t find Diane.
“Di!”
Rick called again, frantically digging through what remained. Pushing through the beams, Ricks heart dropped when he laid eyes on the unmoving  arm poking out from under a chunk of the roof.
“No, no. Baby, no.”
She wasn’t supposed to be home today, she was meant to be with Beth at her mother’s. He knew this could happen, he was distracted, he didn’t think, he never should have taken his eyes off his work for that long. Trying to push the roof away, Rick fell to his knees, clasping her hand in his as tears stung his eyes.
“Oh baby, I’m so sorry. I’m sorry.”
He muttered as he kissed her fingers, squeezing her hand as if it would bring her back. He could clone her, make her good as new but he knew she’d be mad.  She hated that he played with DNA and genetics and had no worry about dying because he could hypothetically, come back every time. Diane didn’t approve, it wasn’t natural, she wanted to stay dead when she died and she had made him promise, never to do this to her. He was sure she meant if she got older but he was willing to risk it just to see her again.
He needed time, he needed to leave. He could bring her back and they could be together again. She’d be good as new. Like nothing ever happened to either of them.
“I can fix this.”
He muttered, pushing at the roof again but he couldn’t budge it, she was trapped, he couldn’t even see her face one more time but maybe that was for the best. He wanted to remember her for what she was. He knew he could fix her though he just needed time.
Pushing himself up, Rick looked around himself for the blaster he had discarded in the hysteria of searching for his wife. All he could find in that moment was his portal gun, surprisingly unscathed in a pile of broken and burning gadgets. He just needed a few days and he could get her back. He couldn’t face Beth like this, tell her he killed her mother, that he was the reason  she no longer had a home to go back to. Not until he was sure he couldn’t fix this but he was positive he could. Diane could forgive him for bringing her back.
Sirens blaring in the distance made his heart jump into his throat, he couldn’t stay here like this. He needed to get out of here. He could come back for Beth when he was done, tell her they were on vacation and Diane was supposed to tell her. Anything was better then this.
When the sirens got closer, he realized he was out of time, he couldn’t get her out from under the roof before they arrived and he couldn’t explain away what had happened, why he was alive when he should very clearly be dead like his wife and own corpse suggested. Maybe this was for the best, maybe Beth would be better off thinking they had both been killed. She loved Dianes mom, she’d be happy there. He couldn’t give her anything better then that after this.
Opening the portal as the vehicles pulled up out front, Rick gave Diane one last look as he saw the lights flashing through the smoke. The sound of people and rescuers rushing to save what they could, even though there was nothing left to save.
“I’m sorry Diane.”
Rick whispered as he lowered his head, disappearing into the portal.
--
It would be days before he returned to the fenced off pile of ash that used to be his home, barely anything had survived the disaster, even he was still suffering from the cuts and burns the flames had inflicted on his body. He could see that parts of his old body were still lost in the wreckage and flowers had been placed nearby as a memorial. The people in the neighborhood really did love Diane, they weren’t much fans of him but the woman looked like a bombshell and even if she dressed like a streetwalker, as one of his elderly neighbors had so kindly told her, she was still the most caring woman you’d ever meet.
He didn’t know what he was here for, Diane was long since taken away, the chunk of roof that had been flattening her was shoved to the side, whatever grass they had in the yard was charred and covered in ash.
Sifting slowly through the pieces, glass and bits of metal rustling as he moved bits of wood with nails sticking out, out of his way. His feet still throbbed with every step but he needed to be here. Rick picked up a doll that’s face had melted away, its dress burned and dripping from the water used to put out the fire. He knew Beth wouldn’t have been here, Diane’s mother wouldn’t bring her here to see this. He could count on her to keep Beth safe, she’d grow up better with her then he could ever raise her. He’d spent the last few days drowning himself in alcohol and pain killers, trying to stop his mind from racing and hoping it would stop his heart in the process but it hadn’t worked yet. He wasn’t any good to anyone in his state. He could die a million deaths and still be worth nothing after what he’d done to Diane.
Clutching the doll to his chest, he rubbed his palm into his eye as he felt his throat tighten, tears coming to his eyes again.
“Fuck, Fuck!”
He muttered before yelling at the top of his lungs, flinging the doll across the burnt plot as he let out a sorrowful growl.
How could he be so stupid to think this was a place to do anything of the sort. He put his daughter in danger every day with his work and his wife- his wife. His beautiful, stupid, glorious wife was gone and he couldn’t fix it, he couldn’t bring her back. He could barely keep himself from falling apart at the seams.
Hearing a neighbors door open in the silence, Rick froze up. He heard them yelling to get out of there. That the place had been a meth lab. Bitterly, Rick laughed. Of course they would think he ran a meth lab, they had to explain what they didn’t understand some how.
“Fuck off!”
He yelled back, unbothered by the threat of the police as he continued his walk through of the remains. Meth lab, he spat, insulted by the idea that the neighbors would think so lowly of them at this point but maybe it was for the best. Let them believe what they wanted to believe. He wasn’t coming back for them.
Pulling Dianes jacket from under what was left of the door, he was surprised to find it still in one piece. He’d gotten it for her when they started dating. Told her she needed to look like a bad ass to go with her attitude. She laughed at him and called him an idiot after that but she never went anywhere without it. Even when she was so pregnant it wouldn’t fit around her belly, she refused to give it up.
That was about the time he knew he had to Marry her. If she was going to be that stubborn, he knew she could put up with him for  the rest of their lives and he couldn’t think of anyone better that he would want to be with at that point.
Running his fingers over the dead bird painted on the back by Diane herself, Rick grit his teeth as he felt the lump in his throat once more.
“Stupid woman. Couldn’t let me finish what I was doing, had to get in my way.”
He hissed, shaking his head.
He wanted to take it back, he wanted the door to open and for Diane to be on the other side again, telling him he was an idiot with love in her eyes. He wanted to tell her he loved her one last time but he was never getting that back. He was too stupid and reckless to realize he was putting them all at risk, playing with things he thought he was too smart to mess up.
“I could have fixed it Di, I could have. If you had just let me, this wouldn’t have happened.”
Rick choked out as he tightened his hold on the leather in his hands.
“We both could be here if you weren’t so bloody stubborn.”
When he heard the sirens  sounding down the street, he grit his teeth once more and rubbed his eyes on the back of his sleeve. The neighbors were true to their word and had called the cops. He supposed now was a good a time as any to take his leave.
He couldn’t bring himself to go back to his dimension after that. It was for the best, he told himself every day, Beth was better off without him. Diane’s parents surely resented him for what he had done to their daughter. Letting Beth believe she lost them both was for the best. He drank and partied and screwed himself into oblivion because it was easier then facing his little girl, it was easier to be a coward then put her through his mistakes every day. He didn’t want her to look at him and see her mother’s killer every time and so, he stayed away.

I got tagged by @inyoursheets - thank you for thinking of me! :D
When did you start watching Good Girls?
I don’t remember really but I know I was lucky because season 2 was basically around the corner I think? But things get really blurry, so don’t ask for details.
Why did you start watching Good Girls?
I admit it, my initial reason to watch Good Girls was Brio because I came across clips of them or gifsets here on Tumblr. Then finding out about the premise was just a additional motivation.
Who is your favorite character?
Elizabeth Boland (hopefully soon Marks)
What's your favorite ship?
I’m not even ashamed to say: Brio. Because they’re beautiful yet problematic. The big problem is not them though but the writers who have sometimes issues to work with the gold they found.
Who is your favorite secondary character?
Ruby.
If you could give Beth one background detail what would it be?
I always think she needs someone in her life who is not connected through family or her past with her. A friend. I know she would be terrible with friends because she doesn’t open or get along with people so easily but I think she needs it. Or more about her past, do we know anything about her father? Because I think her relationship with him or the lack would explain why she is with someone like Dean. But I might’ve forgotten they mentioned him.
If you could give Annie one background detail what would it be?
You know I’m probably in the minority but I don’t think a great deal about Annie. I take what the show gives me and I’m just glad when they give her character development and something that makes her more relateable to me.
If you could give Ruby one background detail what would it be?
This questionnaire is asking a question only fanfiction writers can answer well. xDDD I love Ruby. I want to know more about her past as well. I also want her to have more character development outside her marriage with Stan and her criminal life with Beth.
What's your favorite crime related moment or storyline?
I really like rewatching season 1 and Ruby, Beth and Annie going to Clouds buying stuff with the fake cash and they get the validator and I just LOVE the moment:
Beth: “Did you get the validator?”
Ruby: “This shit is good.”
Comedy crime gold right there.
And then of course Beth watching Rio “making” money/running business in season 1... equals to Rio watching Beth literally laundering fake cash in season 3.
What's your favorite personal moment or storyline?
I mean I’m an easy girl when it comes to that: Brio in season 2.. Bathroom and Bedroom. But Bedroom more because it was more intimate.
FMK:
I’d fuck Rio because I just want to know like Ruby “How was it?”.
I’d marry Stan because DUH.
I’d kill Dean, so neither Beth or Rio have to do it and live with the guilt.
Bonus: Add 3 characters in the hashtags for your tagged friends to play fuck, marry, kill! (or snog, marry, avoid!)
Sorry I can’t do the bonus, so I chose my own 3 characters because I literally had to google who Diane is, I don’t care about Amber even though I hope she comes back to move the divorce forward and I’m not sure how to feel about Rhea. We saw not enough of her for me to have a big opinion or affection for her. Not that I don’t care but she was gone so fast I would’ve forgotten her if she wasn’t Rio’s ex-gf and mother of his son.
I’m tagging: @lunafeather, @misshazelevers20, @nottonyharrison, @riosbeth and everyone who would like to do it.

32. What shipS do you think needs more attention?
Lots of them!!! I don’t understand why this dead-end, boring ship of Beth x Rio gets so much attention, honestly.
Annie x Diane
Rio x Dean!!!!!!
Rio x stationery. It's one of the most beautiful love stories that the shows has given us, and what a fabulous lesson of tolerance and open-mindness it's teaching us, huh?
Beth x sleep. Definitely. I mean sleep deprived Beth is a fucking ticking bomb, if nobody takes care of that ship bad things are gonna happen...
See also: Beth x Bourbon, Beth x praise, Beth x divorce...

Ask me faves I can’t pick

Either “alright daddy long legs, next joke please” or “Are you flirting with me?” “You finally noticed?” Maybe both if possible with thic boi hopper? Have a wonderful day! 💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖
----   BACK SEAT  ;
summary: hopper + reader go on a date, it goes well, he tells you about sarah, you make-out, it’s interrupted. another date is planned.word count: 2.1kpairing: hopper x teacher!reader, from my fic moonrise radio.a/n: we love some steamy make-outs.
Enzo’s is packed.
Not that you’re really noticing, because all of your attention is stuck on the man across the table from you. Hopper has a beer in his hand and he’s smiling, corners of his lips upturned in a sweet sort of way that makes your heart swell.
Nerves bite at your fingers as you grasp the stem of your wine glass and try your best not to shrink under the gaze of the man across from you -- it’s full of a heavy affection you can’t rationalize deserving, not so early into the evening.
You duck your gaze, sip your port, and then look at him again with a smile. He’s magnetic. You can hardly look away.
Hopper wonders when the last time he’s felt like this was -- maybe when he was married? Maybe before the loss of Sarah? When he was really alive? Your lingering gaze has his heart beating and for the first time in years, he can feel it.
“What?” he asks a bit amused. His knuckles drum on the white table cloth.
“Nothing,” you chirp, smoothing the napkin out on your lap, “... S’ just funny t’ see you sitting at a table three times too small for you.”
Hop snorts. “I’m a growing boy --”
“Alright, daddy long legs.”
He gives a laugh at that -- it rumbles like a summer thunder storm. Warm and electric. You lean back into your seat, admiring his smile. There’s something so grounding about the sound of his laugh and you’re left wondering if you’ve really got it that bad already for the Hawkins’ Chief of Police.
It’s only the first real date, for Christ’s Sake.
“Are you, uh -- Are you flirting with me, Miss Murphy?” he asks, tilting his head as he snags his own napkin and lay it out along his lap.
In your peripheral, you see two trays of pasta coming your way.
“I’m so glad you finally noticed, Chief Hopper.”
Dinner is done quick, scarfed down with intermittent pokes of fun, and by the time you’ve both cleared your plates, the sun has set and the moon is hung high -- you’re suddenly aware of how easy it is to spend time with Hopper and you can feel yourself slipping into dangerous territory.
Attachment.
Not that... well, not that you hadn’t already become attached.
But, this is different. This is sticky and gooey and warm and plays to the tempo of a love ballad -- it’s new but it’s old, you’ve been here before and it’s never been good. Never been this good.
Suddenly, Enzo’s is very busy. Jim isn’t the only one in the room and every insecurity you’ve ever had is seated around you, dining on the doubt brewing in the back of your mind.
Maybe Jim sees it on your face.
Maybe he feels the same.
You’re not sure.
“You, uh... You like ice cream?”
He pays, and he holds open the door for you -- his Blazer starts with a cough and Hopper offers a soft look in the light of his dash. “You okay?”
“Yeah,” you say slowly, waving it off, “Just... I dunno.”
There’s a moment’s pause as he backs up, heading towards Doc’s Scoops, the local ice cream joint ten minutes from the center of Hawkins. It’s El’s favorite.
“Dunno what?” it’s gentle, said with a quick glance, “Murph?”
You blink at him, realizing his face is twisted into worry. That kicks you up into a mild panic and you move to grab his hand resting on the gear shift.
Blue eyes go a bit wide. Then he gives your hand a squeeze, worry still very much there. “Hey, hey... What’s up?”
“I just... I haven’t dated in a while,” you say finally, spitting the words out with a weighted amount of sheepishness, “That’s all. I guess... I guess I’m just nervous.”
He doesn’t say anything for a while -- but, his face softens into a knowing smile and he nods a bit. He doesn’t let go of your hand, though. Instead, opts to brush his thumbs over your knuckles. It’s a gesture of understanding that quells the doubt nibbling at your heart.
When you both pull into Doc’s, he finally speaks.
“Me, too,” he says slowly, “About the whole... haven’t dated in a while thing.”
“Yeah?” you ask, with a bit of surprise in your tone.
“Oh, yeah,” he says, as if it’s common knowledge.
You both hop out of the Blazer and move to stand in line; you make a point to stand close to him, prompting the small town Police Chief to drape an arm around your shoulders. You lean into his chest, enjoying the proximity while you can.
“You wanna split something?”
“Hell no,” you mutter even-keeled, squinting at the menu, “Get your own.”
Hopper laughs, ducking his lips to the crown of your head. It makes you smile.
“God, I am so into you.”
You both sit in his trunk, feet swinging, as you eat your ice cream.
The parking lot is busy -- full of teens and parents and folks that all seem to know Hopper; casual waves are tossed his way by fathers and mothers alike. You wonder, offhandedly, if the two of you will become a piece of the small town gossip mill.
“I,” Hopper says, digging his spoon into his brownie sundae, “was married. A long time ago.”
You blink. “Really?”
“Mhm,” he nods, swallowing the anxiety that comes with sharing this piece of his life, “Yeah, uh, for seven years.”
You pause, turning back to your ice cream before speaking slowly. “Do you mind if I ask what happened?”
It’s said with such a sense of humility and honesty and care that Jim is suddenly not so terrified of telling you about Sarah’s -- he turns to eye you in the lights of the parking lot and realizes you’re already looking at him, eyes full of somber adoration.
“We had a girl,” he chews a chunk of brownie, “Sarah. She passed away. And it got really hard. Diane moved on and I didn’t, not for a long time.”
Your heart strings snap.
You don’t know what to say. Hopper can see it.
“I’m sorry, Hop.”
A shrug. “I was in a bad place for a long time -- and then El came along and... I dunno. I don’t feel so sorry anymore. She’s my second chance, y’know.”
Hop figured his words would create a divide between you both -- things would get uncomfortable and cold and you’d push away; but, when you nudge his thigh with your knee and lean into him a little more as you lick your cone, he tries to hide the pleasant shock on his face.
“You’re a good man, Hopper.”
He laughs. “I dunno about that --”
“Yeah, well,” you chirp, leaning back onto your hand, “I’m into you. So.”
His lips turn upwards beneath his mustache.
“Tell me more,” he goads, “Is it the fact I’m inhaling this brownie sundae after a full course meal?”
“You’re a growing boy.”
You both snicker into your desserts.
He drives you home, a bit slower than usual. With the radio playing and the windows down, Hopper tries his hardest to sear this memory into his brain. You’re beautiful and he’s happy and you’re holding his hand. Above you, on the winding road towards your cul-de-sac, the stars twinkle.
His engine cuts when he pulls up in-front of your home.
In the light of his dashboard, you both feel like teenagers.
“I had fun.”
“You wanna do it again?”
“What’re you doing tomorrow?” you ask slowly, leaning to smooth down his collar.
In good humor, Hop’s smile quirks. “So soon?”
“Well, I dunno --” you laugh a little, content with the close proximity as he leans an arm across the top of the steering wheel and turns to face you, “I like you.”
Another laugh. It’s crackling with electricity. His eyes jump to your lips.
You see it and you smile.
“How about a movie?” he asks quietly, attention far from the words he’s saying, “I heard the drive-in’s are nice.”
“I like movies.”
“I like you,” he mumbles as your fingers hook into his button down and he pulls himself closer, nose brushing yours as your eyes roam his face greedily, “So let’s see a movie tomorrow.”
“And make-out in the backseat,” you ask innocently, “like two teenagers?”
He laughs, eyes fleeting shut. “... Is it bad I kinda wanna do that now?”
You mirror his laugh, squirming a bit closer and shaking your head. “No. Is it bad I was waiting for you to ask?”
“No,” his hand falls along your cheek, “Because I was taking too long anyways.”
He surges forward then, warm palm grappling with your cheek as you smile right into the kiss. Even in a moment this tender, he looms over you, bulky shoulders turning as you drape yourself across the center console and try to meet him half-way -- his facial hair tickles, especially when you pull apart for a quick breath and he moves to litter little drags of kisses along your cheeks.
Your lips meet again with a new sort of fervor, all the excitement bubbling over into the gesture. You can’t help but move to lean into his seat, his hands getting lost in your hair as you knot your own fingers in his brightly patterned shirt.
The backseat sounds nice.
But, before either of you can suggest it, a loud tapping on the passenger’s side window startles the living ghost out of you and you jump six feet in the air.
Sure enough, there’s your elderly neighbor, Mrs. Johnson standing there in her pink bathrobe and curlers.
You gawk.
Jim’s smothers a laugh with his hand.
You quickly crank the window down.
“Hi,” you say sheepishly, embarrassment crawling up your skin, “Hi, Mrs. Johnson --”
“Hi dear, is... Is that you, Jim Hopper?” she asks, squinting, “I told Jerry, I said I think that’s Jim’s car! How are you, I haven’t seen you in ages!”
“I’m good, Beth,” the Chief offers, leaning over you and patting your thigh affectionately in silent apology, “I’m good -- you’re up late, huh? I was just giving Miss Murphy a ride home, I heard there’s been some wild coyote sightings around here.”
“Oh, goodness,” she waves a shaky hand and you realize the poor old woman had no idea what she’d just interrupted, “Well, I best head in, then.”
“Have a good night, Beth.”
“Bye, Mrs. Johnson.”
You crank the window up and drop your head into your hands.
Promptly, both you and Jim burst into laughter.
“Oh my god,” you groan, “We’re teenagers. We... We just got caught --”
Jim snorts, voice high. “She had no idea.”
“Oh, Jim! Jim Hopper!” you imitate, “Oh my god, I cannot believe --”
“Thank god we weren’t in the back,” he says, “That woulda been worse.”
You snort, leaning on the center console and smothering your smile. “I almost asked you --”
“Same here.”
Jim moves, then, nudging you with his shoulder and pressing a kiss to your temple that’s reverent more than anything.
“Tomorrow.”
“What,” you laugh, “Tomorrow we’ll get caught in the back?”
“Hey, I know all the good spots in town,” Jim croons, nudging your cheek with his finger, “Plus, what’re they gonna do? Call the police?”
Your face splits into a divine, cunning, wicked little smile and Jim can’t help but mirror it.
“I’ll see what’s playing,” you say, carding a hand through his hair, “And I’ll call you?”
“Sure,” he says, leaning into the touch, “I’ll pick you up?”
“Sure,” you parrot, dragging him in for one last kiss before pulling away and gathering your purse from the floor, “And I’ll pay.”
“No,” he groans, “No -- enough of that --”
“Hey,” you pat his chest as you swing the door open, “Equal rights.”
He groans louder. “Bye, Murph.”
“I’ll call you!”
He watches you all the way through the door, where you part with a smile and a wave. He hears Cannoli bark before you toss him a kiss and the door shuts. Jim catches himself smiling.
Oh, he’s got it bad.

General Arc 5
/She had a Rick once, but she also had a Diane. Then a Beth. / She and Diane raised Beth without Rick for 3 years, specifically her high school years. Beth was turning out to be a remarkable young woman. But things took a turn for the worse when Diane was hospitalized, near the end of Beth's junior year. She died that summer. "Diane Sanchez died due to depression." The doctor stated as he forlornly gave the news. "According to your reports Ms. Rivas, her body was healthy as could be and her genetic disease was handled with all proper precautions. The forensic department agreed with you. The only underlying cause of death is depression." "But she didn't commit suicide, a heart just doesn't stop when you want it to." Roxx reasoned. She couldn't accept Diane's death, not like this. The doctor gave her a sympathetic look, before answering. "It's unexplainable I know, and it is hard to accept a person's death. The best way I could explain this phenomenon is like trying to prove why medical miracles happen. Sometimes things just happen without rhyme or reason, there is nothing scientific about them. And where there are miracles, there exist the opposite, tragedies." "So your just saying, she was a medical tragedy!" "I'll give you a moment with the patient to mourn." The doctor left and Roxx turned her head to the window which hosted Diane's body. She entered the room and cried silent tears as she held the cold hand. Beth was interning at a different hospital, so she wasn't here. Roxx felt as cold as the body, but she knew that was a lie. "Why? Why did you leave us? I finally got you back." Roxx kissed Diane on the forehead before wallowing in her own grief. /She had a Rick once, but she also had a Diane. Then a Beth. / It was late at night and Beth was over at a friend’s house. Her daughter was enjoying her senior year of high school as she only had 2 core classes and the rest were extracurriculars. When it was only Roxx and Diane raising her, Beth started to both call them her mothers. Roxx never felt so much joy that night when Beth called her mother; Diane didn't mind, she even encouraged it. Roxx was home alone drinking wine. She already finished a whole bottle and was debating opening another. Suddenly she heard noise coming from the garage. She grumbled to herself and got a box of Lucky Charms from the cabinet. Beth exited the house through the garage when her friend picked her up. She would not be surprised if she left the door open for the raccoons to come in. She unlocked the door to the garage, ready to throw the cereal to the driveway for the raccoons to chase. As soon as she opened the door a drunk Rick fell on top of her. She yelped as they both kissed the ground. The clearly drunk as fuck Rick passed out as soon as she opened the door and the less coordinated Roxx fell due to the influence of alcohol and surprise. The cereal box spilled all over the floor, but that was instantly forgotten for the more pressing issue at hand. Roxx maneuvered the blue haired man off her for a moment so she could drag him to the living room. Although the living room was only 12 feet away from the where they were at. With Roxy’s lack of coordination factored with Rick's height and weight, the result was her hitting her hips and stubbing her toes against surfaces. It wasn’t until she flopped him onto the couch did, she hear his mutterings. "It’s all my fault. I did this. Why am I so toxic? I deserve this, I should never be happy." Roxx was sad that Rick was muttering these things. She stumbled her way through the house, though not as much anymore with the lack of mass hauling her down and a little bit more sober. She started to clean Rick up. She wiped away assumed vomit on his lips, grabbed his flask from his hand so it doesn't spill, and stripped him of his dirty coat. As she was about to put the coat in the laundry, but first she emptied out his pockets for anything important. She took out some electronics and a few pieces of paper. She was curious and unraveled the pieces. One was a noted from one of his friends, a person named Bird person. Coordinates that look like it can be inputted into the portal gun. And a certificate. She flattened out the as best she could try to read it. Her eyes widened, she turned the paper over and saw taped to the back of the certificate was a picture of Rick, Diane, Roxx, and Beth, all smiling. She looked at the drunk on her couch as she began to weep once more. The certificate in Rick's lab coat was Diane's death certificate, with the cause of death highlighted. /She had a Rick once, but she also had a Diane. Then a Beth. / "Your mom would say you look beautiful." Roxx said as she placed a necklace on Beth's neck. She was dressed for her high school prom, looking absolutely stunning. "Thank you mother." Beth smiled at the same vanity that used to be Diane's. Roxx smiled in response to her daughter. As she led her daughter down stairs, Rick appeared at the end of the stair case and looked at Beth up and down. "Change." "Rick." "She's not going to prom like that." "You were there when we went dress shopping, you were the one who picked this dress." "And now, I'm saying the dress is too inappropriate for my little girl." Beth chuckled as Roxy and Rick argued about her. "I know these little shits because I was one of those little shits! Beth will attract those horny prepubescent boys like a moth to a flame!" "And you know what Rick, if they get too close to our Beth, they will get burned. Baby girl, I give you full permission to kick a boy’s ass if they get a bit too familiar with you. Don't worry about lawsuits, I can win them." Roxx comforted both Rick and Beth. Beth smiled at her parents and gave them both a hug. Both parents reciprocated as the doorbell rang. Beth's friends squealed at the sight of her and thus began the grueling process of photographing. Rick oversaw all the pictures as Roxx relaxed on the sideline. Rick lost rock, paper, scissors. However, it wasn’t as "troublesome" as Rick complained about it to be. She saw a brief smile as he took pictures for Beth with her friends. She sat down on the couch reading her favorite book with a plate of cannolis beside her as she heard her husband yell "More?!" And the group of giggling girls moved to the backyard. She turned the page. ------ "You piece of shit!" Roxxanne held a boy by the collar of his shirt against the wall. He was nervous and confused. She lifted him off the wall before slamming him right against it again. This hormonal teenage child had the audacity to come to her house, after he knocked up her daughter, and dare say to her that he could support her. All because Beth did a pity lay. A DAMN PITY LAY. Because she felt sorry for the guy who seemed to be the next top candidate for 40-year-old virgin, Beth had sex with this no spine, conniving, useless, shit stain of a man. Her Beth was having a midlife crisis at the age of 17! Luckily Rick took Beth out today for some quality father daughter bonding time. Because if Beth was home and saw this tool out here, she no doubt have another mental breakdown. "M... ma-... m-ma'am. I- I promise to support Beth..." "So you don't think I can't support my own daughter, you punk!" "N-no! Not at all. Not that I mean you can't support her, I mean you can obviously support her, we would be blessed if you could support us!" "So you were planning to dependent on us! Am I and my husband only cash cows to you!" "No that wasn't what I was trying to imply!" "What are you trying to imply!" "I know Beth is a smart girl and she has dreams to become a surgeon. So a child will obviously hinder her plan-" "Boy you better stop while your ahead of yourself." "I'm just saying the cost of an abortion-" Roxxanne flung the brown haired boy to the side and grabbed a belt from the coat closet and used it as a whip. The sudden sound scared the boy as his eyes grew wide. "You! Don't get a say in anything. You don't even mention this possibility to my daughter. What she does with your unwanted sperm donation is up to her. If she wants to keep the child, she'll keep the child, if she wants an abortion, she will get the abortion. She does not need your shit filled input to decide what she can or cannot do to HER body. Don't you dare try to make her lean towards one choice or the other for your shitty fantasy." She stepped menacingly toward the boy who crawled backwards toward the door. "Regardless of her choice, your life belongs to me. You WILL take responsibility for your actions. You WILL listen to every command I give you. And you WILL compensate by any means necessary for the troubles you inflicted on MY daughter." At each emphasis Roxx whipped the belt at the feet of the young boy, effectively scaring him as he edged closer and closer to the door. "You will pay for you actions Jerry Smith, I guarantee you that." Finally the young boy scrambled up at the door and ran out of her house. When he left, she place the belt back into the closet, grabbed a glass of wine, and waited for her daughter and husband to come back. /She had a Rick once, but she also had a Diane. Then a Beth. / "Are you sure mother?" "Yes, yes, yes. A million times yes! Don't worry, Rick and I got this, just have fun with Jerry. Okay baby girl?" Roxx shooed her daughter away toward her husband Jerry. They said goodbye to Roxx and Rick as the blue haired man held onto their granddaughter. Beth and Jerry ended up keeping the baby and did a shotgun wedding. Because Beth wanted to keep the baby, she thought she would have to give up being a surgeon. Roxx quickly dismissed that idea saying she and Rick could watch over the baby while she's getting her degree. They argued for a while, but Roxx ultimately won at the end. In addition, because Roxx believed Beth was too good for Jerry, the only way the stupid male could marry her daughter was to be at the same level as her. So, the first thing she had a problem with Jerry was his looks. Instantly she made him do military drills from all sectors, 6 days a week for 12 hours every day, not including mealtimes. Not only did his body barely become passable, his personality shifted 30 degrees in the right direction. He was still annoying and dumb, but at least he can be passable eye candy. After military training was done, she encouraged him (read forced) to pick a major that won’t embarrass her daughter. All the art majors were immediately disqualified for him. He ended up picking marketing, which wasn't the best, but it would not embarrass her daughter. She made sure Jerry understood, passed, and excelled on all his classes. Only when he was on his way to finish his undergraduate’s degree and got a paid internship with a ladder system, did she deem him as a viable candidate for Beth's husband. Not the best, but viable. Only then did she approve of their marriage. They may have married young, but she didn't let Jerry lived with them until last year. Up until then, he still lived in his parents’ house and only visited Beth, not even staying over nights. Anyway, Rick carried their 2-and-a-half-year-old granddaughter to the living room. She wasn't as smart as Beth, but she was smarter than average. Summer amused herself with crayons and paper and went to her room.  Roxx leaned against Rick and sighed. "I am way too young to have a grandchild already. My hair didn’t even start graying yet." "I know the feeling, we don't even qualify for the early bird special yet." They chuckled as the TV played in the background. "So I was thinking..." "And what thoughts are going inside that mind of yours." Rick replied as he kissed the top of her head. "Maybe we should move out." "Roxx..." "Just hear me out Rick. This house is worth more to us than mansions in California, penthouses in New York, or even estates in Texas. This place has sentimental value. So, I don’t want to sell it. Plus, we already bought it out. We can give the deed to Beth, under her name. She can start a family here and grow into the person I know she could be." "And what does us having to move out clash with Beth's development." "You know there isn’t enough space here for all of us, especially if Beth wants her family to grow. Plus, Beth has grown a dependency on us, specifically you. This dependency can impair judgment, we both know that. Look I'm not saying we should go across the globe. I'm just saying, maybe 30 min. Or an hour away drive. Close enough if she really needs us, but far enough to deter her from "casually" dropping by." Roxx laid her head against Rick's chest drawing patterns on his chest. "Plus, instead of having to stay at a motel every time one of us want to do it, we have our own place." Rick grabbed Roxy’s ass and gave it a firm squeeze. "Should've argued with that first." "Shut up." She smiled and chuckled.

Music From Bounty and The Red Machete - Seriously Awesome! ;D
Okay guys, this won’t be terribly long today. Erm—at least not compared to my Details post on Wednesday, which was a monster. This is something I’ve been trying to get to since last week, and I’m super excited to share it, because it’s a pretty big deal. It has to do with three musical aspects of Bounty, 9x11.
First, let me say there were two songs featured in this episode. It’s All Right Now, by Eddie Harris (this is the song Ezekiel played on the boombox to distract the walkers so they could go into the theater; it’s also the one we saw Jerry lip syncing and dancing to)
Tumblr media
and All My Dreaming by Emma Russack. This was played at the end when it showed everyone being happy together because the exchange went well. It’s still playing when Daryl realizes Henry has gone and goes to find him, and Connie goes with him.
It’s actually hard to find lyrics to either of these songs online, though there are youtube videos where you can just listen to them. Neither is difficult to hear and decipher.
I don’t have tons to say about the first song, It’s All Right Now. This is one of those songs where that line “It’s all right now,” is literally sung over and over and over again for the entire song. You hear the singers making other, extraneous comments (“Come on girl,” and Jerry’s “whoo!”) but there aren’t any other actual lyrics. So it’s a fairly happy, positive song, right? And I think it works for the Kingdomers at the theater because things go well for them. They had to fight a little harder than they’d planned to get the bulb, but they got it and nobody dies, which doesn’t happen all that often on the show.
But the one thing that really jumps out at me is when Diane comes into tell them that they have to hurry because the “boombox died” and the walkers will be coming back toward them. As in, the music died? And the music was the “it’s all right now” song. So that means it’s no longer all right.

Again, I think that works well for the Carzekiel in particular because, everything’s okay for them right now. Going better than expected, actually, since Alexandria will now be attending the fair. But if you’ve read spoilers, you know things are about to go terribly, terribly wrong.
But… we also know Beth was the song bird so I really think we can relate this back to her as well. Everything was all right, then the song bird died (compare to Henry spoilers) and then everything wasn’t all right. Also remember, this was the episode with the prisoner exchange, which had some ridiculous parallels to Grady. So yeah. That’s all I have to say about that.
Tumblr media
Emma Russack’s All My Dreaming we can read into a little more. This song really only has one verse and we heard all of it in the show. (The rest of the song is just all the “oohs” we also heard in the show to tranquil music.) It’s really a very beautiful, calming song.
So here’s what it says:
All my dreaming, all my wishing
It hasn’t come through. Life’s just like that
And I don’t know what I am looking for
But when I find it, it will feel right.
I’ve dreamt of loving, I’ve wished for control.
It hasn’t come through, but I won’t push that
Maybe all that I’ve ever wanted
Is what I have now. That is all right.
Does that sound like Daryl or what? Especially the dreaming of love bit. And it works well with what he told Henry. He’s really not happy and doesn’t have what he wants, but life’s just shit sometimes and you live with it.
The other interesting thing is that everyone it shows during the playing of this song is fairly happy: Carzekiel, Magna’s group who are happy to have Luke back, Enid and Alden, Tammy and Earl with the baby, etc. The only unhappy ones are Daryl
Tumblr media
and Henry.
Tumblr media
(Quick aside about the above pic of Daryl. Someone in my group (forget who) something very interesting. It looks similar to this pic from Still,
Tumblr media
Even if the light is a different color, it’s still behind him, silhouetting him. We also know that Beth was Daryl’s light (confirmed by Norman). So between that, and the prisoner exchange that just happened, you know he has to be thinking about her right here. Meanwhile, this song is playing…)
So what does this mean? More than just a reminder of her, I think it shows the Whisperers and this whole thing with Henry will lead to her. More on that in a minute, but I’m once again going to argue the “domino shit” card here. Henry couldn’t live with the results of the prisoner exchange, which lead to Daryl going out after him, and that will lead to what happens the rest of the season. And I think it will lead to Beth in some way.
Okay, one final thing to talk about, which I actually this is the MOST exciting of the three. You guys are gonna love this. Again, I have to credit @wdway with this because I wouldn’t have thought of it. If you listen to the music that plays when Daryl takes Lydia outside the gates for the prisoner exchange, it’s very distinctive music. I think it’s a mixture of drums and some kind of horn, but it sounds like a very ominous drum roll.
@wdway said she thought it was the same music from The Red Machete. (Again, I wouldn’t have remembered that at all or thought to check.) But she’s right. If you want to compare, listen to the music playing specifically when Daryl takes Lydia out and has her by the arm. It only lasts a few seconds and then stops.
Then get on Youtube and find The Red Machete. Listen to the last two minutes or so when it shows Legs come out and claim the red machete. It’s the EXACT same music. I think the Red Machete one has a faster tempo and sounds bolder (might just be a volume thing) but it’s still the same music.

youtube
So we discussed what this meant. Does it mean Lydia is Legs? Well, we already discussed how Cassidy McClincy (who plays Lydia) has a body type a lot like Emily’s, so it’s possible. But I really don’t think so. For two reasons:
1. I think if she or even Alpha or Beta had the red machete, we’d have seen it by now. We would have seen it really early on because that would be a big deal to have one of them wielding Rick’s red machete. I doubt they’d wait so many episodes to be like, “oh, by the way…” It’d be more epic than that. I actually thought, from the trailer, that when it showed Alpha in the woods, obviously hiding a weapon behind her leg (it was when Luke and Alden saw her just before being captured) it might be the red machete. But it wasn’t. It was a double-barreled shot gun. So yeah, we really haven’t seen it yet and that’s important.
2. There’s still the fact that they hid Legs’s face/identity. We didn’t know who Lydia was back when the Red Machete aired. There was no reason to hide her face. It would have been better to show it so that when she showed up in the show, the audience would have been like, *gasp* “she has the red machete!” (gasp gif) In fact, they used that exact tactic with an earlier mini series that had to do with Fear. The first one they did showed the virus breaking out on a plane at the beginning. One woman survived and later showed up in Fear. They got that exact reaction. Audience: *gasp* “She was the lady on the plane!!!” So I think if Legs was Lydia, th ey would have done something similar to this. Instead, they hid Legs’s identity, and there’s just no reason to do that unless she’s someone we already know and would recognize.
So what does this mean? Well, I still believe Legs is Beth, but even putting that aside for a moment, the parallel music shows that something about this prisoner exchange will, as I said above about dominoes and leading to the rest of the season, also lead to Legs/the red machete.
But then we HAVE to circle back around to the parallels during the prisoner exchange, what Daryl says, this song that’s playing, all the Beth/Henry parallels this season, and of course the same ole stuff about how we saw her image twice in 9a. For me, it all still points very obviously to Beth being Legs—it kinda has to be—and this sequence leading to her in some way.
I don’t think Alpha or Beta has the red machete. I think Beth has it and will show up at some point in some way that has to do with the Whisperers.
Thoughts?
***Last minute addition: So this morning, before I got this posted, I noticed a post in my FB group. I didn’t want to add onto this because it would have taken longer (probably wouldn’t have posted until tomorrow) and it would have made it too long. But let’s just say @wdway found something that really has nothing to do with this Red Machete music parallel, but, in my mind, pretty much confirms what I’ve said here. It deserves it’s own post, and I’ll try to get to it next week. ;D ***

Why did you refer to Helena as "queen Helena" in your answer to that ask earlier?
Because some people have put her on a pedestal that she does not deserve. They have elevated her to a god like status when she is no better then any of us. Don't put words in my mouth by saying I do not like her because I do. I just don’t think she shits gold and sneezes fairy dust. I also do not hold any delusion that Norman and Helena will ever get back together. It has been almost 18 years since they have been together. Both have moved on and are FRIENDS and that is the extent of that. Those who still ship this pair are as delusional as the people that think Beth will return to the show to be with her “true love.” Beth is dead and not coming back and Norman and Helena are NEVER getting back together. Helena is a classy chick it is her shippers that cause issues by thinking she is more then what she is. A normal and beautiful woman that is on the same level in Norman’s life as Diane.

. Women have the power
“Women have the power. When we decide to castrate you there’s no doubt you’ll lose your balls.”
—Colleen
2
. I would love to castrate my man
“I would love to castrate my man, and you can bet I would beat his balls for days before cutting. And the cutting would be without painkillers. After his balls are gone I would make sure his puny little penis would also be cut off, and that he had to pee like us girls. He hasn’t made me happy for years sexually, intimately or anytime. I won’t divorce him, either, just to mess with his mind. I enjoy bringing home my boy friends and having sex with them while my husband is watching TV.”
—Nancy
3
. I use the testicles as earrings
“I have castrated many men, by cutting off their balls and even by biting them off. I believe it is a woman’s right to castrate men because women are superior to men. I use the testicles as earrings to show that I am proud to be a castratrix.”
—Linda
4
. castration is something to be enforced eventually for all men
“A penis is a rape device; as domestic violence statistics reveal, men are the evil virus problem. Given sperm may be created without use of a man, and women have well proven themselves even more capable then men, castration is something to be enforced eventually for all men. A peaceful and productive future depends on real vision and executing a plan that cuts to the core issue here. Castration is the cure. Stop the Rape!”
—Beth
5
. Testicles just get in the way of a man’s true function, which is to be subservient to women
“I would castrate my male slave. Testicles just get in the way of a man’s true function, which is to be subservient to women, to do the heavy lifting and to pleasure us without all that randy thrusting behavior. I would remove his testicles along with enough of the scrotum so that it would be obvious he had nothing there. Then I would have laser hair removal of his pubic hair so that everyone could see his pitiful, limp penis. He would then pleasure me and my girlfriends with his lips and tongue as ordered, but would have no interest in his own pleasure. If by some chance we wanted him to have an erection, that would be done by injecting Trimix into his penis.”
—Alice
6
. Why risk pregnancies or aggressiveness?
“I got pregnant before getting married, and with logical thinking, I did have my new husband castrated. Nothing painful or bad, just an honest way of permanent birth control. Everything else on him works and it seemed like a fair and caring solution. Just a thought—I see no reason that these days, that moms couldn’t or shouldn’t have their boys’ balls removed, too. Why risk pregnancies or aggressiveness? If they marry and want children, the woman in their lives can easily find someone to get pregnant with. Castration doesn’t in any way have to be cruel or painful, just a simple procedure with a local anesthetic, then life gets better.:) I hope to hear from other women about this.”
—Diane

. Taking a hammer, I drive the nail through his cock into the wood
“Here is my real castration fantasy. A man has raped me or my daughter or the daughter of someone close to me. We capture him. We tie up his arms so he is hanging by the wrists. He is sitting on a large piece of wood. Pegs are driven into the ground so his legs are spread. His cock and balls are on the piece of wood. I take a nail and place it on the head of his cock. Taking a hammer, I drive the nail through his cock into the wood. When the nail reaches his flesh, I pound it on in, crushing the head of his cock. Another nail at the base of his cock brings more screams. Then I do the same thing for each of his testicles, driving nails through them and crushing them. Then I untie him and leave him nailed to the piece of wood.”
—Alice
8
. CONSIDERABLE SHRINKAGE
“I have participated in a castration and it was very personal, sexual, pleasing, empowering … It isn’t always just about the pleasure (or pain) the man gets from this … There were 2 of us females there and we may have enjoyed it much more than the guy. We all came up with a plan for what to do with his nuggets after he was cut… He wanted to flush one or have us impale it with our stilettos!! We chose stiletto thigh high boots after removal we just threw it on the floor & stabbed it with a 6in heel and modeled it for a while & took pictures. The 2nd is in a jar of formaldehyde because it is mine to keep forever!! We recorded everything for him to keep & watch. This was over 2 years ago and all is well. There was considerable shrinkage (7 to 4) I know there has been a lot of questions about shrinkage.”
—PrplGal
9
. I would bite the sucker off and spit it across the room
“I would never castrate a man for a crime; I would leave that up to the law. But!!! If I was ever forced to suck his little man, like in a rape situation, I would bite the sucker off and spit it across the room.”
—HHC
10
. I believe all men should be castrated at some time in their life
“In my opinion I believe all men should be castrated at some time in their life. Between the government and their mothers, wives, sisters this should become a law. I also believe all penises should be circumcised. I am one female who has had the opportunity to be part of a castration procedure, and I believe more women would agree if they were given the chance to assist in one. Castration is so easy to perform and to control the male’s sex drive and the hardships males can cause women. Unplanned childbirth would be totally removed, and most important child and female rape would be a thing of the past. A man’s balls cause this, so why not ‘cut’ right to the problem? Let a man have his penis, to show he was once a male. In fact have a holiday celebrating, know as CASTRATION DAY. Permit men to be naked that day allowing all to witness their loss and celebrate. I know all men and some women would disagree with my thoughts on this, but in my opinion it would be a better world. Is that not what we are working for?”
—Sue
11
. let’s start making the world a better place
“I am sure castration will become commonplace in years to come, especially as sperm counts fall and scientists pioneer somatic cell division allowing women to become pregnant using cells from any part of a mans body, or another woman’s for that matter! Rendering the testicles if not the whole man redundant. So I agree with you Sue, although I don’t think we’re close to celebrating ‘Castration Day’ any time soon. But like you say, I’ve heard that removing testicles does make a male far more placid and I would like to think ‘obedient.’ So I agree, let’s start making the world a better place.”
—Julia
12
. quickly slicing through his testicles for my ultimate satisfaction
“My ultimate fantasy is drugging a male, seducing him to climax, then once he is done, quickly slicing through his testicles for my ultimate satisfaction. Are you up to that?”
—Anonymous
13
. go all the way
“Each time we met I would tightly tie off your balls. At the same time I would stimulate your small unit slowly allowing you to ejaculate once you were excited the discomfort in your balls would be forgotten. It would then be up to you the more I satisfied you the greater chance of your balls shrinking and being useless. Do it only once or twice nothing happens other than you getting off. I think though you will want more and more and go all the way.”
—Sara
14
. Make your man a eunuch
“I castrated my husband many years ago when we both decided his sex drive was out of control. The castration made him very happy and me as well. He is now very faithful…loving…calm…and a fantastic lover. My husband benefited from the castration with the best orgasms he ever had. Women do not cut off the penis…Remove the testicles….Make your man a eunuch….Don’t make him useless by cutting off his penis…You will truly enjoy him as a eunuch.”
—Cynthia
15
. I have saved three sets of balls that are on a shelf in my home
“Hi my name is Terri, and yes I fantasize about castrating a man. I ride horses and have witnessed several castrations. The vet has even allowed me to assist him. The idea to me about taking away such a powerful force to a male excites me. I realize there is a big difference in castrating an animal to a man. But really a man is an animal in many ways. The vet has allowed me to slice open the sack, reach in and pull out the balls. With only the cords (which are very long) holding the balls inside, it’s quite easy. After cutting the cords, cauterizing the ends its over. Seeing the empty ball sack and realizing what I have done really turns me on. Stitching up the empty sack, the procedure is over. I have saved three sets of balls that are on a shelf in my home. My girlfriends agree seeing a set of naked balls excites them, but I think most would not say this.”
—Terri
16
. I think castration is a beautiful thing
“I think castration is a beautiful thing as it gives women a sense of safety and to whoever is doing it empowerment and for the guys it really is like your girlfriend said sweetie the older a guy gets it’s a 50/50 chance of something happening sorry I don’t like saying you know what word, but you like being with out them I know I just sound like a sicko but my brother had a accident a few years ago and he had to have one removed it really up set him at first but we was all there for him so were his friends. Since then he met his wife and she’s a very kind person so not all of us are evil as this poll might think also he is a lot less angry as he use to be.”
—Sally
17
. I have seen some horses castrated and it turned me on
“I have been fascinated by thoughts of castrating a man. I have seen some horses castrated and it turned me on. There is a man I know that I would like to cut. He is older and he said he would love me to cut him. I think I will do it. I will post more when I do it.”
—Shelly

. just feed him female hormones
“Girls, it’s easy—just feed him female hormones. Small doses at first. Once you see his boobs develop just gradually increase the hormones. My husband can’t get it up and my girlfriends with their strap-on vibrators give me orgasms that no man can equal.”

finally i am posting a complete ref for my oc julie, who was mentioned here:http://trashunlimited.tumblr.com/post/174314389519/do-five-facts-about-your-favorite-oc
this is a pic of her i made, i used a base for it made by the-panda-lover on deviantart, and got their permission to post this here(i can’t draw well sorry).
Tumblr media
(this stuff here is copied from my deviantart account):
Here is Julie, my favourite OC and precious baby. She's my version of Rick Sanchez(from Rick and Morty)'s wife. I made her 4 years ago when I first started watching Rick and Morty, and I just can't let go of her, I've put so much hard work and effort into making her. I know Diane exists but she may not even be the real Mrs.Sanchez, even if she was, I wouldn't care, Julie is my baby and I can't abandon her, what kind of mother would I be? To explain, her hair is red because it's meant to explain where Summer's red hair comes from, and since both parents need to carry the red hair gene, Jerry has a direct relative with red hair too. To explain where Beth's blonde hair comes from, I picture Rick as a natural blond(his clones from "Big Trouble in Little Sanchez" are all blue haired because THEY'RE CLONES, and he dyed it blue probably). Beth's nose is also meant to be a mix of Rick's and Julie's noses(rounded like Julie's, slants down like Rick's), also explains where Morty's nose shape comes from. Julie's personality is meant to be the opposite of Rick's, I love opposites attract, beauty and the beast and villains x heroes ships(Rick's not a villain, but he is villainous in nature in a way-STILL COUNTS) and incorporated that into the Rick/Julie pairing. Julie is meant to be similar to Morty in some aspects, while being what I think Rick would need in a partner. Her outfit is also meant to be 70s looking, since that's the decade she and Rick meet, it was inspired by this picture I found when looking up 70s fashion: c8.alamy.com/comp/EXPEM7/1970s… I only found out very recently Mrs.Sanchez was actually unremarkable and mundane, so....oops...the most remarkable thing about her is her being a nurse, but she still seems to be nothing compared to Rick so..I think I'm good? Whatever, IDC bitch.

Julie cares for other people deeply and always wants to help them.
Julie is very shy, and tends to be timid and nervous at times. She can also be a bit awkward as well and gets easily embarrassed at times. She isn't good with crowds and doesn't like doing things like public speaking. That's not to say she doesn't like spending time with others, because she does. Julie just gets nervous when it comes to new people or a group of people.
Julie is also an intelligent character in her own right. She loves reading books, particularly romance novels, and is very good with things like math, science and English. These skills allowed her to excel in nursing school. She is also fairly logical and resourceful too, and good at memorizing and remembering things. However, due to the fact Julie becomes foolish when it comes to love, her intelligence is often underestimated and even questioned. She is very curious about the world around her, and loves learning new things.
Julie is a hopeless romantic, having wanted love since she was a little girl. She loves romance novels and movies as well. Love makes her act foolish, and sometimes she may make bad decisions, but she never means to.
Underneath this, Julie has poor self-confidence issues. She doesn't think highly of herself at times, and blames her previous romantic failures on herself. While everyone seems to find her beautiful, Julie only thinks she is average looking. She is passive and tends to go along with things, even if she doesn't want to. Her desire not to upset people prevents her from standing up for herself and being assertive and brave.
Due to Rick's influence, as time passed, Julie slowly grew more brave and confident. She became more assertive and sure of herself. Slowly but surely, she became less timid and shy because of him. But sometimes her old insecurities would still rise to the surface.
After Rick leaves, everything goes down the gutter. Julie became more withdrawn, quiet and asocial as a result. She also developed depression.
History
Julie was born on May 16th 1951, to her parents Agnes and Gordon Kenyon. Her full birth name is actually Juliana Lillian Kenyon, but she always has preferred to go by Julie, finding Juliana sounds too formal.
From a young age, Julie’s personality was very evident. She was always a happy and innocent girl that liked reading books and always had a smile on her face. But even then, she was a very shy child and found it hard to make friends. Her closest friend growing up was Vivian Curtis, who she had known since she was a baby due to their mothers being best friends. Her love of romance was also very clear, she liked love stories and her favorite Disney movies were the princess ones that existed at the time like Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, Cinderella and later Sleeping Beauty. Her parents had a very clear and strong love for each other, something Julie witnessed. She also once asked her parents how they met and fell in love, which they told her about.
Julie was also bullied a bit as a child for her shy personality, and this is something possibly contributing to her later self-confidence issues as an adult. Boys would also mockingly call her ugly.
As Julie grew up, her kind and gentle personality always remained. When she entered high school in 1965, she attempted dating for the first time. It didn’t go over the smoothest however, leaving her very upset. But her friends assured her she would find “the one” eventually. In regards to the bullying, it stopped. But this is only because everyone suddenly saw her as pretty and the guys wanted to go out with her. Julie met Mark a few years later in 1968, and he moved in with her and her family, and the two developed a brother-sister relationship.
When Julie became an adult in 1971, she began dating again, and later from 1971-1975 would attend nursing school. In 1975, her parents bought her her own house in celebration of her graduation, and she soon moved in. On the way to visit her in her new house for the first time, her parents died in a car crash on the way there. For a while, this was something Julie blamed herself for it and felt a lot of internal guilt about it. After their deaths, Julie continued to remain in the house.
In 1978, Julie felt hopeless and was starting to think she would never find “the one” and was starting to blame herself for it. But in about June, when Julie was coming home from a friend’s house. Rick was running away from the Fyralogin Empire when he stumbled into Julie after coming out of his portal gun. He had been shot in the leg, so Julie offered to help him, which he accepted and stayed at her house for a few days until the wound healed. After his leg was better, they still kept in contact and were now friends.
One day, Cyn, a general from the Fyralogian Empire, arrived on Earth to take back the fuel source Rick had stolen. A fight ensued, and after it, Rick had angrily told Julie to leave, and instantly regretted it. He apologized the next day, and took her a gemstone planet where he got her a crystal rose. Rick also helped Julie’s confidence boost by assuring her there was nothing wrong with sticking to the gender roles. This burst of confidence helped Julie to stand up to Cyn after he shot Rick, the next time Cyn came to Earth.
After that incident, Rick and Julie left Earth to hide away somewhere, arriving on Glorf and being taken in by two alien siblings named Oran and Tyla. They remained on the planet for a few weeks, bonding and growing closer. Julie found herself becoming more confident, but after Oran insulted and slapped her, Julie’s confidence fell down a bit. Rick managed to comfort her, making Julie feel better. During this time, they also went to a nightclub together, where they sang and danced together, increasing Julie’s confidence again.
Julie asked to return to Earth after feeling homesick, so Rick allowed her to go. They both missed each other dearly while they were separated. Julie ended up masturbating while thinking about Rick, while he killed Tyla and Oran for Julie's sake. When she returned, they snuggled and watched the stars together, before Rick kissed her.
They stayed on Glorf a little bit longer, where Rick revealed his past, and the two grew closer. Julie ended up kidnapped by Cyn, so Rick saved her in sacrifice of his own freedom and life. Julie confessed her feelings and begged Rick not to do it, insisting she wasn't worth it. Rick went ahead anyways, and Julie was taken back to Earth. He escaped anyways, and returned to Earth, where he reunited with Julie, and they made love together, officially ending up as a couple.
Julie and Rick continued to spend time together, having their first date and bonding even further, until Cyn returned, intent on killing Rick. The two fought, and it ended with Rick thinking Cyn had killed Julie, so he killed him in return. After learning she was still alive, Rick was more than grateful and cried tears of joy. When Julie awoke from consciousness, she and Rick talked together, where Julie learned what happened.
He ended up moving in with her, where she began doing her best to improve his mental and physical health, as well as better him as a person.
As a mother, Julie was very loving and caring towards her daughter despite her growing sociopathic tendencies. In fact, Julie wasn’t the least bit scared of Beth, even Rick was scared of her to some extent, and many of the neighborhood kids. At the most, she was just a bit weary. She always looked after her daughter and they were very close. She knew Beth admired her and wanted to be like her, and Julie helped and supported her daughter all the way through.
After Rick left in 1994, Julie grew depressed and lonely, only staying around for her daughter’s sake. When Beth became pregnant in 1997, Julie was disappointed, but still supported and cared for her during her pregnancy. She lived to see the birth of her granddaughter Summer, and even helped Beth take care of her. Early the next year, Julie died, when she was only 46 years old, of heart problems. Tropes

Age Progression
Child
As a child, Julie was very shy, timid, quiet and sensitive. She was still a sweet, kind girl, even back then and liked helping others if she could. Julie was a happy, innocent child that liked reading books and looking at the stars with her parents. Regardless, she was also bullied in her childhood, cementing her poor self-image and self-confidence issues later on in life.
Her love of romance and her hopeless romantic personality, stems from her childhood. She adored the love her parents shared, and liked to hear the story of how they fell in love all the time. Her mother would also read her stories featuring romance.
Julie grew up in a time were girls were expected to be housewives and mothers when they grew up, and Julie accepted this. She had her own dolls that she would pretend to be the mother of, and would do things like feeding them, rocking them or tucking them into bed. She dreamed of what her future husband would be like, imagining a dashing handsome man who would sweep her off her feet and kiss her.
Preteen
This is when Julie went through her “boys crazy” phase. She was even more interested in boys than in the past, but found herself too shy to talk to any.
She also loved listening to popular singers at the time like “The Beach Boys”, Elvis Presley and “The Rolling Stones”.
Teenager
Even with all the changes that come with the teenage years, Julie remained as sweet and kind as ever. The most that changed in her personality was her desire for her more independence, her parents were a bit hesitant but eventually accepted. Also being a teenage girl in the 1960s, she was a big of “The Beatles”, but also liked other groups too like “The Rolling Stones”, Bob Dylan and “The Jimi Hendrix Experience”.
This is the point when Julie saw that maybe she didn’t need to be a housewife and mother, as women were gaining more rights and freedoms. Julie decided she wanted to be a mother, but also gained an interest in becoming a nurse, and wondered if she could keep that career up and not have to stay as a housewife. In school, she was still expected to take courses about cooking, domestic work and home finances, she had no issue with this and she saw it as useful.
Young Adult
Upon reaching her young adult years, Julie headed off to university and got her degree in nursing. She also dated here and there. When she returned home, she found out her parents had bought her a new house, which Julie moved into. But on her parents visit, they got into a severe car accident on the way there, killing them both. This spiraled Julie, who was only 24 years old, to have her problems of self-confidence and self-image worsen.
Eventually, at 27, Julie met Rick, and found herself becoming immensely happier. He brought out the best in her, genuinely made her happy and she fell in love. They ended up marrying and she gave birth to their first and only child, Beth.
In terms of personality, this is when Julie's problems bubbled to the surface and just became worse, only alleviated when she got with Rick. Despite her initial woes, she did become happy with her life.
Middle-Aged
The first few years were happy, but after Rick left mysteriously, Julie was never the same. She became depressed, lonely and withdrawn, spending a long time sulking alone in her and Rick’s room.
Despite this, Julie still remained a good, caring and involved mother. She helped Beth and supported her as best as she could (despite Beth hating her and blaming her for Rick leaving) until her death at 46.
Elderly
Julie doesn't always make it here, but in the realities where she does, she’s very happy and content with her life. She’s still happily married and embraces her role as a grandma, she helps give Morty and Summer advice, remains an involved mom with her daughter Beth, who she has reconciled with, and a loving wife to Rick. She’s also the only one that doesn’t keep putting down Jerry. Relationships
Rick Sanchez
Rick and Julie share a very close and intimate relationship. They bond they share is strong and unbreakable.
These two bring out the best in each other, and Rick believes that Julie is the only person who truly understands him. So he tends to be possessive of Julie, and worries someone will try to take her from him. He isn’t controlling, and doesn’t care about Julie having male friends, but he makes it clear Julie is his and his only. They know each other better than anyone. Rick has made Julie more confident in herself, and Julie has made Rick softer/gentler/kinder and more calm and easygoing.
Julie and Rick also help each other with their problems, and in a natural way as well. They don't force each other to change, they let things happen slowly. Julie makes sure Rick takes care of himself properly and makes him brush his teeth, or makes sure he sleeps long enough or is eating enough as well. Rick in turn helps Julie grow more confident in herself and become more assertive and stronger.
The two met in mid-1978(this is copied from the history part, sorry) when Julie was coming home from a friend’s house.

When Julie awoke from consciousness, she and Rick talked together, where Julie learned what happened.
He ended up moving in with her, where she began doing her best to improve his mental and physical health, as well as better him as a person.
After getting married in 1979, they still remained close, and had their daughter Beth in 1980. When Julie began working that same year, they couldn’t see each other as much as they wished, so they were always happy to be together. Julie helped Rick look after Beth as the years passed, and was unaware of the existence of “Froopyland”. Through all these years, they still remained deeply in love with each other.
When Rick left in 1994, Julie still loved him and missed him deeply. She waited for him until her death. On her deathbed, she proclaimed her love for him. Even now after her death, Rick still secretly is in love with her and misses her all the time. He continues to remain sexually active and had that brief relationship with Unity, twice, to try and get over her....hasn't worked so well.
Tropes
Opposites Attract-Julie is kind, loving and pure. Rick is an asshole who hates others and has seen too much. Despite their differences, they’re meant for each other.
All Girls Want Bad Boys-Rick is not a nice guy, far from it, and is a criminal. Julie loves him anyways
Love Redeems-Julie’s kindness has managed to soften Rick’s cold and hard heart.
Brooding Boy, Gentle Girl-Rick is pretty brooding, Julie is gentle. She gives him space and allows his growth to be natural and slow
Inconvenient Attraction-Rick is annoyed by his own feelings.
Operation:Jealousy-Rick can’t help but be jealous, even when they weren’t together
You Are Worth Hell-Rick will go through all odds just for Julie’s sake
Flowers of Romance-Rick gives Julie a crystal rose, which is a symbol for their love.
Beth Smith
Julie was always a loving, caring mother figure to her daughter, and only child, Beth.
Ever since she was a teenager, Julie knew she wanted to be a mother. But she decided to wait until she was married, which she did in 1979. A year after in 1980, she became pregnant and gave birth to her and Rick’s daughter Beth at age 29.
Because of the laws at the time, Julie was only able to take 6 weeks off from work, but she made those 6 weeks count. Julie looked after Beth the best she could, and even taught Rick how to properly look after their baby. As Beth grew older, Julie always remained a kind and loving mother. She helped her daughter with her dreams, and was always supportive and understanding. However, Beth didn’t appreciate her, she saw Julie as mundane, boring and unremarkable compared to Rick. This broke Julie’s heart, and despite her attempts to bond with Beth, it never worked.
After Rick left, Beth blamed it on Julie, saying her mother’s “boringness’ caused Rick to leave her. She fought with her mom, hated her and blamed her for all her problems. When Julie died, Beth was sad and did mourn her, but still held resentment towards her. Because Jerry was also similar to Julie, this furthered her dislike for Jerry. She never truly appreciated her.
Jerry Smith
Julie was upset that Jerry had gotten Beth pregnant, but never harbored any resentment towards him. She wanted Beth to be happy, and hoped she and Jerry would have a good life together. Jerry had been a bit weary of Julie at first because he was scared of her possible reaction, but was relieved to see she was kind and gentle.
He was happy to have her as his mother-in-law, and thought she would be a good role model for Summer. After her death, Jerry was saddened, and tried to comfort Beth as much as he could.
Summer Smith
Summer doesn't remember her grandmother, as Julie died when she was still a baby. But in the short time they knew each other, Julie adored her granddaughter and would help Beth take care of her at times.
Vivian Curtis
Vivian and Julie have known each since they were babies, with their mothers even be best friends for years. They have always been close with each other, and have always been supportive of the other as well.
Vivian has always tended to be a bit critical of Julie, usually regarding her choices and boyfriends. She was particularly unhappy with Rick and Julie’s relationship, thinking of Rick as nothing more than a dangerous criminal. But eventually, she got over it as always.
Mark Norris
Julie was introduced to Mark when they were teenagers. She and him instantly became friends from then on. After Mark was rescued, he began living with Julie and her parents. It was from there that they developed a brother-sister relationship that remains strong.
Mark is the most supportive towards Julie of all her friends. He gets angry when someone demeans her, and always jumps her defence. She goes to him for advice, and he always tries to help as best he can
Tropes
Like Brother and Sister-Mark and Julie are very close. They love each other, but not in the romantic sense. They love each other as the siblings they never had instead.
Platonic Life Partners-They are best friends. It's better that way.

Occasionally, she does cover her face a bit. She also tends to clap when excited, and twirls her hair with her fingers when being shy, or thinking about someone she's in love with.
Interests/Hobbies
Julie loves reading, it's her favourite pastime and she's been reading since she was able to. Her room has a shelf filled with books, and she has a few more books in her living room. Her favourite genre is romance, but she also likes adventure, sci-fi and fantasy stories. She likes classic romance novels such as Pride and Prejudice and A Room With A View, but also more modern love stories(for the 70s..) and likes reading books that have hot muscular guys on the cover. She also doesn’t mind erotica either..
Julie strangely also has a fondness for video games. Since she first played Pong back when it was released into arcades, she thought it was the coolest thing ever and has been hooked since. She owns an Atari 2600 console and has a Pong console too.
She also likes space, and loves looking up at the stars. Living more in the city outskirts, Julie gets a better view of the stars. Her love for it stemmed back into her childhood, when she would sit on a blanket at night and watch the stars with her parents.  She loves learning new things from Rick, and learning in general, and their adventures together. She is fascinated by the things they come across, like a crystal/gemstone planet or a planet with two moons. She has a big curiosity for the multiverse after all.
Being a nurse, Julie also has an interest in biology and medical stuff. She has no aversion to things like blood or needles/syringes either, and is excellent at properly looking after people, including herself. She keeps a first-aid kit in her home.
Julie is also a girly girl and so she likes dressing in pretty, feminine outfits. She also loves shopping, especially for clothes. Despite being very feminine and girly, she still doesn't mind getting dirty, and loves adventures and exploring.
She also loves to cook and bake food. She learned from her mother how to at a young age, and has loved it ever since.
Trivia
Julie was originally named Tatiana, it was changed to be an English name(jokes on me, Julie actually I found out is French, but its been used in the English-speaking world since the early 20th century so who cares).
Julie only started out as a design for Rick’s wife, then she developed a personality and well...here we are.
She is the only OC of mine to be paired up with a canon character.
Julie was originally not supposed to die, but instead to live and run away, becoming some kind of badass bounty hunter type. This was changed because keeping her alive was more realistic.
Julie’s original birth year was 1949, then it got moved to 1950 before I finally decided on 1951.
Name Meanings and Origins
Julie/Juliana
Both Julie and Juliana are English names meaning “descendant of Jupiter”. Jupiter was the leader of the Roman gods, and the god of sky and lightning. Julie is the French form of Julia, but has been used in the English-speaking world since the 20th century. Juliana is the feminine form of Julius(Iulianus).
Julie and Juliana both have origins in Ancient Rome, when it was “Iulia” (the letter j didn't exist yet). It has been used in England since the 18th century alongside its other form Gillian.
Juliana was the name of a saint and martyr from 14th century Nicomedia, Blessed Juliana of Norwich. She was also a mystic and author. Juliana was also the name of a 20th century queen from the Netherlands.
Lillian
English name meaning “lilly”.
This name has two possible origins. Either as a diminutive of Elizabeth, or an elaborated form of Lilly. It has been in use in England since the 1500s.
Kenyon
Irish surname meaning “little wolf”.

Rick and Morty: One Shot
The Song Remains the Gay
Just a little head canon that turned into a one shot. Sue me!
A soft pluck of the strings and a deep bellowing tone sang in tune with the whine of his fingers slipping along the ribbed string. He switched the cord against the thread and strummed a long fluttery note. It wasn’t perfect, no, but it was precise. It was how he wanted it to sound. Nothing concrete ever sang his soul, only the faltering tone of a hesitated strum depicted his warped mind.
“That’s beautiful.” She said.
She kept her voice low as to not disturb his creative process. Not that it mattered; he was in the zone, right where he wanted to be. Punctuating that thought with a quick E – F switch before grinding the cords to a halt, picking up with a sloppy strum that came out louder than he wanted or maybe it was exactly what the music needed. As he strummed the cigarette in his mouth bobbed in time to his music.
The flair and finish of the unwritten song vibrated his nerves, his bones; it left him feeling high and hard just as he wanted it to. That was after all, why he played. Music was the ultimate reason for so many things in his twisting scientific mind.
Rick stopped playing. His fingers still vibrated with the tones that lingered in the room. He took a long drag from the cigarette, holding it inside of him until every inch was warm.
The bed behind him shifted and he felt a warm body pressed against his back. Naked flesh ran the entire length of his spine, warming the cool skin. At first they were just lips against his thin neck and then teeth teased the already purpled mark she’d left earlier in the evening. He winced at the tender flesh before taking the cigarette from his dry lips.
“Diane,” He laughed. “Y-you’re like a fucking vampire.”
“You know you like it, darling.” She whispered hotly against his neck.
If that wasn’t enough to cause his already hard cock to bounce, her gentle drawl did the trick easily. They both laughed like idiots in the quiet of his trailer.
Diane fell back in the cot. Her tight curly brown hair fell around her face. She wore Rick’s loose fitting tank top that did little to cover anything up but that’s how he liked it. Her soft pale flesh carried the tan lines from her days helping her family on the farm. He could see the slope of her B sized breasts peaked with plump nipples that always teased a need to be touched. Her hips, curvy and beautiful, were creased by a pair of pink panties a size or two too small. Not that he minded, they were usually off, immediately after the show and his face bathed in her milky white thighs. He gave her an encore that left her screaming his name half the time, and the lord above the rest.
“That song,” She asked, taking the cigarette from him. “What’s it called?”
“Diane’s cradle.” Rick laughed lewdly.
Diane snorted and choked on the azure smoke that coursed through her lungs. Rick smirked at her, watching her tits bounce with each convulsing jolt. It rolled deep in his groin. Even though he’d spent himself inside of her twice already; he was ready to take her again.
“We should call it Beth’s cradle.” She joked.
“What?” He asked wryly.
“Well, you never know.” Her tone lilted.
She caressed the rounded part of her belly. The pouch there was made from too many snacks and soda rather than from the question that hung in the air now. Rick just stared at her.
“What y’all lookin’ at like that, magic man?” She teased, propping herself on one elbow.
Rick stared at her for a long moment, though he didn’t see the her he once did. She wasn’t that same stupid sixteen year old groupie that showed up at his trailer one night after a show. He’d almost sent her away but she’d been so desperate for a hug that he let her stay. Too bad the hug only came after he did but he still he let her stay.
Afterwards, he sat on the cot, strumming away as she kissed his back and neck affectionately. When the morning came, so did he and sent her out to get breakfast, knowing full well that he wasn’t going to be there when she got back.
What was the big deal, he thought, he’d given her cab fare that was enough?
The following night, it was the same thing. She stood bathed in the porchlight outside of his trailer. She wore a short skirt and a shirt that barely covered anything just the way he liked it. All she wanted was a hug and he was weak to her and took her again.
This went on for week until he grew to expect her there on his doorstep. So much that he found himself happily waiting for her outside. Now the hugs came first, and so did the kisses, and the long talks, and the belching contests, and the foul jokes. And sometimes, he never came at all. And the song’s first notes were created.
***
Rick rested in the lawn chair outside his trailer. He was hunkered down over his guitar. His fingers found the notes of the song that he’d been working on for almost a year now. The title read Diane’s Cradle but it had since been scratched out and Beth, written in pink ink, took its place.
He stopped to make an adjustment in pencil before starting again.
“Well, Rick?” The voice asked.
He’d almost forgotten that Diane was standing there, even though he’d seen her coming up the way. She always came when she heard him play but he rarely came when she was around anymore, so it was easy to ignore her.
“Well what?” He asked, tired from his long days on the road.
“Should we call her Beth?” Diane asked.
She cupped her small pouch beneath the long white blouse she wore.
Rick didn’t hear her though. All he could hear was a distant whining in his ears like the feedback of wily amp. Soon it was joined by the rapid bumping of the snare drum of his heartbeat. He looked at her. Her lips were moving but he heard nothing that she had to say. Slowly, he nodded his head.
And the baby’s name was Beth. And the song became nameless.
***
Rick sat in his trailer, sweaty from his gig and yet his soul begged to be sated for the mediocre show hadn’t been enough.
He played the tune that had haunted him for just over a year now. All the pieces were falling into place. The notes on the page were near perfection and he could play it without the music sheets.
It was the song that lured her to him again. It was the same song that came with a steady knock on his trailer door. And Diane stood under the pale porch light. Her hands caressing the heavy belly that hung out from beneath his tank top that barely covered anything just the way he’d come to hate.
Diane’s smile was so desperate for a hug and he invited her in. Unfortunately for him the hug came after she did and he would have to listen to her talk about Beth.
Then in the morning, she’d come again. He sent her to get breakfast and she knew full well he’d not be there when she got back and would never be there for her again.
And the woman’s name was Diane. She had a child named Beth and the song remained the same, unheard and nameless.
***
Rick pulled the helmet off. His breath ragged as he teetered on his feet. Tears filled his eyes and ran down his stubbly cheeks. No matter how hard he tried, he could halt the hitching sobs in his chest. He looked at the red tube clutched in his shaking hand. ‘Goodbye Diane’ was what the label said on the side of it.
“Diane,” He whispered, his voice trembling.
At hearing the name, there was a moment of clarity. His eyes moved to look at the three other tubes sitting on the table. His three worst memories in a room full of otherwise bad decisions. Through the pain, he knew what he had to do.
Rick passed through his lab, picking up the old ruddy guitar case that sat in the corner. He set it on the table and opened it. The old acoustic guitar had seen better days but still made his chest swell.
There, lying across the face of the guitar was a stack of music sheets. The title at the top consisted of many corrections because Rick never felt strongly towards anything that could inspire the name of his song, at least, until now.
He scribbled something on the title line next to the others before tossing everything back in the guitar case and started up the ladder to the garage, then to the kitchen. His thoughts guided his feet up the stairs, and into the all too familiar bedroom.
“H-hey Rick!” Morty said.
The boy lounged on his bed focusing on the small handheld game device that beeps and blooped noisily. Without saying anything, Rick snatched up the device with one hand, flicking open a portal with the gun in his other. He tossed the device through and deactivating it all in one fluid motion.
“Aw geez, Rick! Wh-what the fuck was that for?” Morty squawked, sitting up in his bed.
“Keeping you from rotting you – you’re fucking brain, Morty!” He grumbled.
“Y-you’re a real dick, you know that?”
“Sh-Shut up, Morty, I-I brought you something.”
Rick held up the battered guitar case.
“Aw, is that, like, your old guitar. God, Rick, are you – are you going to sing me a lullaby or maybe a love song.” Morty laughed.
“Well, Morty, if y-you must know, I was thinking about teaching you how to play this guitar. It might get you laid f-for a, you know, a change.”
“Might get you laid, more like it!” Morty scoffed.
“What?”
“I – I said I’m really excited, Rick.”
“That’s what I thought y-you said, you fucking piece of shit.”
Rick slammed the guitar case down on the bed, nearly hitting Morty with it. He flipped it open and jerked the guitar roughly from its cradle by its neck. The music sheets inside fluttered around before slowly swooped in to land on the floor around Morty’s feet.
“Wh-What’s this?” He said scooping up the front page before Rick could grab it.
“It’s a song I’ve been fucking with for a – for a few days now.” Rick lied.
“Morty’s Cradle,” Morty said, looking up at him with great big eyes. “I-I don’t know, it sounds pretty gay to me, you know?”
It was Rick’s turn to scoff as he snatched the paper away along with his guitar, starting to shove them back into the case.
“No – no, Rick, I’m sorry. I was just, you know, I was just teasing you.” Morty laughed nervously, rubbing the back of his neck.
“Yeah, that’s ah – that’s really funny there, Morty.” Rick gritted his teeth.
Rick thrust the guitar in Morty’s lap roughly before settling in on the bed next to him. Morty adjusted the strap around his neck before looking to Rick for a little more guidance. He helped the boy line his fingers up just right, and passed him an official “Flesh Curtain” guitar pick.
That’s when Morty strummed his first cord. It wasn’t perfect, no, but it was precise. There was something surprisingly optimistic about the look on Morty’s face. It reminded Rick of a distant memory that he struggled so hard to forget. It left him desperate for a hug but no one came to stand under his porchlight. And the song was finally heard and it finally had a name.
