Hear me out, flying type hybrid darling using their wings to hug their partner.
Like 'preening' their partner's hair and hiding their feathers in their partner's clothes; chirping / hooting happily when their partner come back home with hands full of their feathers like a silly game
(Can be anyone you like I just cant get this thought out my head haha)
Now I am absolutely obsessed with shipping Larry with monster reader. And when I saw Harpy reader I dived for it aaa.
The characters I will do is Larry, Warden Ingo, Leon,
Various characters (pokemon) reaction to their beloved as a flying type hybrid harpy.
Larry
Tumblr media
You just showed up one night scratching in his back door with your sharp claws. You were looking for nesting material the day before you never asked a human for some this human seemed shocked But ultimately gave you some cloth it was strong yet soft and smelled nice. This human was nice : )
As a flying-type trainer, he knows some of the mannerisms you have. He thinks it's cute when you preen his hair or make a small nest out of his clothes because you missed him. Sometimes, he would show you how humans court and then do the same thing to you
And his coworkers and boss are none the wiser when he starts finding feathers in his suit all day. They just assumed that he had a new flying type Pokemon and not a hybrid birb spouse. Even so, coming to work covered in feathers isn't professional, but he can't bring himself to tell you to stop. He knows you're doing this out of love for him. Maybe Larry will ask you if he could wear one feather and put it in his pocket.
Your feathers are just so soft when you wrap your wings around him. He can't help but cuddle into you and fall asleep. He can feel your nails thread through his hair, mimicking the way he touches you.
Before stepping into his house, he could hear the excited tapping of your feet as you do your happy dance. The little bird hops with your feathers all fluffed before yelling his name and throwing feathers all over the place. His home life has never been this exciting, and he can't help but smile.
Warden Ingo
Tumblr media
You struggle the flap of your wings, kicking up the snow on the ground. The Searing pain in your left wing and arm is almost overwhelming. Your energy is slowly draining as your body struggles to keep warm. Your feathery down kept you from freezing for a while, but how long will that last? Has the wind begun to pick up? You hold your broken arm close to your chest, trying to keep in your subs of pain as you huddle your wings closer together, desperate to cling to any ounce of warmth; your vision blurs and your brain tells your body to conserve energy. The only thing you saw when you began to blackout was a man in a long coat approaching.
You were protective of the man who saved your life—wrapping your wings around him not only for affection but also for protection. For some reason, this human was drawn to you. Your beautiful white wings and Feathers jogging his memory of something, though not enough to figure out why.
Every time his Warden duties called, he would leave his cabin even though he had sworn he would go you home somehow, always following him, stalking him in the distance until he was alone. Then, you would appear either from a high ledge of a cliff or a dark cave to brush yourself up against him, cooing for his affection.
Every time he falls asleep, he wakes up to his jacket being stolen and wrapped around you, not that he Minds that you wear it, though he has to tell you to be careful; those sharp talons of yours could easily rip a new hole.
The Striking eyes of his remind you of a Braviary hybrid. You can't help but Preen his hair and put some of your feathers in it. You coo in Delight of how handsome he is. Cuddling close to him and playing and tugging on his clothes.
Leon
Tumblr media
Wherever he was, this was definitely not the Pokemon Center. In fact, this wasn't a town at all. He didn't even know how he got so high up in the mountains. Leon swore he was following a path. As he continued to wander, getting himself more and more lost, it wasn't before long that the sun began to set. Still, he took this challenge with a smile despite being low on supplies. He was in the wilderness. They're sure to be some berries somewhere. However, before the sun dipped below the horizon, he saw a blur Bolt from the tree to the dense foliage. It was like lightning, but he could have sworn he saw feathers. The figure was a human shape, a hybrid, perhaps? It stood at a distance where he could barely see it. It stood there tilting its head almost as if it wanted him to follow. As he followed the creature until they were nowhere in sight, that's when he realized he was back on the path.
Almost every encounter with you was by pure chance. You don't even know how he does it; a dumb human gets lost, and then you guide him back suddenly. A month later, he's back?! What the heck?? What is this human's deal!? is he trying to get himself killed?!
You only watch the human to make sure he doesn't get himself killed, not because you think the human is attractive. And you absolutely didn't swoon when you saw that he was wearing the feather you dropped as a necklace.
But unbeknownst to you Leon wasn't just adventuring for adventuring sake he was looking for you. Oh yes the mysterious hybrid that led him back to the path on that night he met you. Hybrids are already so rare, and when you caught his eye, he couldn't help but relive the memory. He not only wanted to meet you, but he wanted to get to know you to understand you. And you were just as infatuated with him as he was with you.
Even though you're instincts told you to court him as a potential mate, you knew that as a human, he couldn't be trusted, but somehow, Leon knew that , he knew that you were wary of him. He didn't blame you. How could he? Thus begins the slow build of trust and your relationship

Don't be shy tell us more headcanons!!!! I'm eating this up.
has my blog finally found a main purpose? i post my headcanons here? hell yeah
Tumblr media
Miscellaneous rival cast headcanons | XY
a lot of my headcanons are based on a mix of fanon, manga, anime, pokemon masters, and main game elements put into a blender
calem and serena are 18! not as much a headcanon and more implied canon, they can’t be older than 19 because they are clearly still teenagers but they can’t be younger than 18 because emma (who is canonically 16) makes remarks about them being old. 16 and 17 are too close for that to be the case, so they are at least 18!
shauna is 17, as well as tierno.
trevor is 15 being the youngest, though the smartest and most reliable member of the group.
calem and serena are both trans (calem FTM, serena MTF) serena transitioned before moving to vaniville and helped calem transition with the help from her experience in fashion when he came out.
serena is the protagonist, while calem is the rival as that’s how it’s set in masters.
serena is childhood friends with shauna, and trevor. while calem is childhood friends with serena and tierno, the friend group formed over several years of naturally growing together before they all set off on a journey together
shauna is the type of girl who is a little crush crazy, always hopping from one guy to the next to fawn over. she pretty much instantly fell head over heels for calem when they met (based on her dialogue during the firework show) however, her crushing for calem ends up back firing because of how often calem and serena are near each other; growing into another crush on serena at the same time. hijinks ensue.
grace considers calem to be like one of her own, he’s always welcome in their home no matter what. she occasionally refers to him as her son in law.
serena and calem have insane romantic tension they are utterly oblivious to but everyone is painfully aware of, including shauna who is stewing in very complicated jealousy.
tierno is calem’s closest friend other than serena, anything he can’t bring up to serena for one reason or another gets told to tierno.
tierno is really good at reading people, he pays attention by second nature and despite coming off as rather unserious he has a way of calming people.
tierno had a crush on serena at some point after meeting and has asked her out on three occasions, all being declined. he’s a good sport about it and isn’t afraid to play it for laughs
trevor is very sick and tired of his friends reckless shenanigans, tierno and calem especially.
trevor is the team mom here, he didn’t agree to it but he is.
shauna is a little slow on the uptick, but a big gossip. which means everyone else is a gossip by proxy.
going off of Y’s habit in the manga of being too shameless for her own good with getting dressed in semi public places, serena has the same habit. you get used to it after a while.
despite seemingly having her head in the clouds, shauna will bitch you out if prompted.
serena’s mom, grace, is a single mom. serena is the product of a fling during grace’s younger years as a rhyhorn racer, which is why she’s so overbearing about serena’s future, she wants her to have a good life to overcompensate for that fact.
trevor lives with his grandparents in santalune, his parents work overseas.
tierno lives with his parents in aquacorde town, as does shauna
please consider with me for a moment, serena/shauna/calem. do they have a ship name i think the chao they’d make is beautiful-

hi!!!, Can you please write something about how young Friede get his pikachu. I'm kinda obsessed with them.
Okay so initially I had an idea until they announced the summary for episode 18. After watching it, I decided to fill this prompt in a way by writing an in between scene of that episode featuring younger Friede and Cap. Hopefully it still fits within the prompt, and if not, my apologies for that! I hope it'd be an enjoyable read still!
Series: Pokemon Horizons
Characters: Friede, Captain Pikachu
--
While Orla did an awesome job in creating the Brave Asagi, they still needed to put in a lot of work before this airship could take to the skies. For starters, Friede needed to go through the proper hoops to legally operate an airship. Next they had to hash out details of important aspects like their supplies, means of earning funds to keep this ship running and the like.
It felt like every day he faced a new set of problems that gave him a headache but quite frankly, Friede didn’t mind it as much. This was all to make the Rising Volt Tacklers soar high in the sky. They’d want to make it as peaceful as possible, after all.
He spent the better part of the morning working out what they need to keep the engine room running. Friede offered Charizard to help with firepower if needed but obviously they couldn’t rely on just his starter. The pair decided to catch more Fire-types if they had the opportunity to help Orla out in there.
At some point, Cap probably found the talk too boring for his tastes so he left the meeting room early. Friede wondered about his partner’s whereabouts but figured he was somewhere on the ship at least. In the meantime, he made the short trip below deck towards his room.
When Friede pushed open the door, he paused mid step into the room. His eyes quickly zeroed in on Cap standing on top of his desk. He was staring at himself in the mirror, pawing at the captain’s hat on top of his head with his button nose all scrunched up.
Various thoughts immediately came to his mind. Friede genuinely forgot that Cap was a wild Pikachu until recently. The concept of accessories never once crossed his mind, nor was it something he’d naturally consider anyway. Pikachu typically communicate via squeaks and tail shakes. They also send messages to one another–or with other Electric-type species–by using electricity.
What kind of genius Pokemon Professor am I if I forgot something this simple? he mused, resisting the urge to rub the back of his head in mild frustration. Throughout the airship’s construction, he was dead set on having Pikachu be the captain. To commemorate it, he made the trip from Slateport City all the way to Lilycove, wanting to check out its large department store to find a small captain’s hat.
As to keep it a surprise, Friede had Cap stay with Ludlow that day. Finding one that fit Cap’s measurements didn’t take too long–it seemed that nautical themed accessories were pretty popular in Hoenn seeing that it was a landmass surrounded by the sea–but he wanted it to be extra special. He paid extra to have a custom emblem attached to it, feeling pretty pleased with the idea of fashioning the ‘F’ from his name (and freedom) to emulate wings. He thought it was fitting for them that will be flying high and free.
When Friede unveiled the hat and place it on Pikachu’s head, he seemed to like it, accepting his new role as captain with pride. Captain Pikachu had a nice ring to it, and he needed a clear tell for others to know that too. Friede honestly believed that it was a good idea.
Now, seeing Cap fiddle with the hat, his stomach churned slightly from guilt. Had Cap simply followed along with his whims, caught up in the heat of the Rising Volt Tackler’s formation? From what Friede knew of his personality from the weeks he spent researching on him, Cap was confident, self assured and would quickly show his displeasure if he didn’t like something (or someone. Ah, he could almost feel the phantom touch of Cap headbutting him in the stomach).
If Cap really didn’t like the hat, surely he would have shown it the moment Friede place it on his head right?
Then again, it was his lacking ability in understanding a Pokemon’s emotions that led him to stagnate. Friede theoretically knew a lot about them but he didn’t consider that Pokemon too had their personal wants and desires. There won’t always be a logical reasoning behind their behavior. He can’t just check off a list and claimed this was how all Pikachu would behave.
They might have formed a bond but it was still new. Friede had a lot to learn about his partner, and it felt like he already missed the mark from the start.
Lost in his thoughts, Friede didn’t realize his hum caught Cap’s attention. He found himself face to face with the Pikachu who looked surprised to see him here.
Swallowing down his rising doubt, Friede plastered on a friendly smile as he properly entered his room. “Hey Cap! I was searching for you. Seems like you’re… checking out the hat, eh? I guess it’s not something that you’re used to, huh? You don’t have to wear it if makes you feel uncomfortable, yeah?”
Try as he might, Friede couldn’t fully mask the mild disappointment in himself for failing to understand his partner. He genuinely thought it was a good idea, one that Cap liked but he also won’t force Cap to do things he wasn’t comfortable with. Establishing that early on should show Cap that Friede saw him as equals, hopefully deepening their bond going forward.
Cap’s button nose scrunched up once more. For a moment, Friede thought he somehow messed things up again. Before he can say anything, Cap adjusted the hat till it settled nicely between his ears.
He then turned to the mirror, striking a confident pose with his arms crossed and head tilted upwards. After that, Cap turned to him to flash the same thumbs up that he did when they were higher than the sun. He maintained that pose for a few seconds before taking the hat off. If Friede didn’t know any better, it looked like Cap was embarrassed.
It took a few seconds for Friede to properly understand the meaning behind Cap’s actions. Warmth bubbled within his chest, his lips trembling from the effort to keep his smile from stretching ear to ear.
Cap was… assuring him that he liked the hat. He saw past his mask, showing Friede that he didn’t read him wrong. Perhaps it’d still take time for Cap to get used to wearing it but he didn’t hate it like he (secretly) feared. Cap could have just worn it but he went the extra mile of posing to really drive the point home.
Oh, he really does have an awesome partner.
Friede quickly closed the distance between them to scoop Cap up. The Pikachu squeaked in surprise, cheeks sparking in mild warning. He didn’t care about the potential electrocution in his near future. All Friede could think about was how kind, considerate and awesome Cap was.
Chuckles slipped past his lips before they settled into a goofy grin. “Aww, you look so cool Cap! That’s my partner! Anyone who sees you and not think you’re the epitome of awesome doesn’t know a Pikachu from a Plusle!”
The rush of compliments seemed to make Cap even more embarrassed. He tugged down the rim with his paws as a partial cover but Friede didn’t miss the tiny smile he sported.
Friede decided to hold off the rest lest he pushed Cap past the point of embarrassment and into the ‘you better shut up before I make you’ stage. He still had nothing to counter for electric shocks after all.
With one last chuckle, Friede brought Cap up so he could settle on his shoulder. He then looked at their reflection in the mirror.
Friede wore his usual Charizard themed shirt with a jacket on top while Cap was in his hat. Seeing that they were going to travel all over the world, he supposed he too should wear the part. Depending on parts of the ocean they’d cross and the high altitude, he certainly needed to dress warmer. Perhaps some aviator goggles too for the flights he’d likely do on Charizard.
Well, Friede had plenty of time to figure out his personal wardrobe. The Brave Asagi had yet to make its maiden voyage, and with the time they’d likely spend in various corners of the world, inspiration might strike when he least expected it to.
In the meantime, they were plenty of other things to figure out first. Orla handled the ship’s maintenance but they lacked manpower for other important aspects of running an airship. For the time being, they’d take turns making food for everyone on board. In the case of an emergency, Friede knew how to perform first aid but he lacked proper knowledge to treat anything serious.
So many things to consider that it left his head spinning after. Still, he wouldn’t have it any other way. Friede would take figuring out the logistical nightmare of keeping this airship running over researching in a lab any day of the week.
“We’re going to be super busy, huh Cap?” he murmured, raising a finger to lightly rub Cap underneath his chin. “There’s probably going to be a lot of problems but we won’t give up, yeah?”
Like the Pikachu who never gave up in flying to see the horizon, the Rising Volt Tacklers too would get past whatever problems they faced so they can fly towards a new horizon every day.

For the fandom edition asks, can I ask for G, I and Q <3
Ask me: FANDOM EDITION [Accepting]
G - Do you remember your first OTP, if so who was in it
OKAY SO I started shipping all the way back in 2006-7 when Youtube was the new hot shit around, and I was an itty bitty kid on early internet. Whom had Pokemon and Sonic as her main big interests at the time. I'm forever thankful for those old as fuckkkkkk tribute videos, with the biggest bops from that era. Although, I'm unable to pinpoint which ship I stumbled upon first, so I consider I started shipping them at around the same time: Rival Barry/Dawn (Twinleafshipping) and Shadow the hedgehog/Tikal the echidna (Shadikal).
FUN FACT- I have been SO long into Twinleafshipping that when I first saw it, Barry had YET to receive his official name for either Japanese and English versions. Gen 4 had YET to be released in the west, and we still didn't even know all the pokemon species introduced in it. So, the fandom nicknamed him as Damion, and for the longest time that's how we called him by. Until his official name was revealed.
And my very first queer ship was Alucard/Richter Belmont from Castlevania. That was mindblowing for sb who lived in a country, where even to this day same-sex couples and lgbtq topics are treated as a taboo.
I - Has tumblr caused you to stop liking any fandoms, if so, which and why
I got into Tumblr all the way back in 2015 BECAUSE of my hyperfixation on League of Legends, and by 2017 I was done with the entire franchise. I can't say I blame tumblr entirely for me falling out of love with LoL, there were a number of factors that caused me to distance myself from it (the fact I had stopped playing the game altogether, bc my computer couldn't run it anylonger). But I can say that LoL's fandom is already infamously toxic as it is, and on Tumblr that shit becomes unhinged. And I'm certain that since the inception of Arcane, that fandom must have got even worse.
The only reason we don't hear that much about it nowadays is bc, there is now actual competition for the prize of 'the worst community'. Genshin Impact somehow managed to speedrun those levels of toxicity and unhingedness.
It was through LoL's fandom on tumblr I first saw the lengths, some not-sound of mind individuals are willing to go, to """defend""" their ships. It was the first time I saw anyone receive genuine hate and death threats, just bc they didn't sign up to the popular and most wide spread ship. And I heard through a friend of mine who is still into LoL, that side of the community truly became the worst, thanks to Arcane. Bc now you got a bunch of motherfuckers who never touched the game, wanting to weight in on shit from ppl who aren't interested in the animated show.
Im gonna spread hate on League of Legends, Arcane and anything else related to it LOL
Q - A ship you’ve abandoned and why
It's really difficult for me to drop any ship... At all. So much so, I don't recall dropping any ship in my previous fandoms (Pokemon/Star wars/Castlevania). I may not focus on some ships as compared to others, but that's mainly due to me likely having folks to talk about another ship. But I'm still most definetely a shipper.
As such, I think the very first case of me genuinely dropping a ship happened in the Saint Seiya fandom LOL. I've mentioned it a few times, I shipped Sha.ka/M.u for maybe at most 15 days. It was literally the very first ship I came across, and I genuinely loved how pretty ppl's works for the ship were. Then, the more I dug into StS' lore & content. The more I realized how this couple has little to NO actual substance to offer (by which I mean those two characters literally barely interact with one another, in the entire series).
It actually took me awhile to find out about Aldebaran/Mu, and when I did...
youtube
Nevermore looked back at it since LOL.
My theory as to why that ship is massively popular bc most of its fans likely are going off their really vague memories of watching the show, in their childhoods. And solely bc those characters look really good together (I'll give it that, their aesthetic is nice. But that's all you get bc LOL). And they feel entitled to crapping/disrespecting other ships, just bc popular ship brainrot behavior uwu.

Feelingshipping but they have wings. - Pokespe Wing AU (Oneshot)
Fic in the link above or under the cut. This is the last old fic I have to post here (I think) but it's my favorite, enjoy!
Blue Oak and Yellow are cute, oh and what's that?? Wings? Or, My sister's favorite (?) Pokespe ship ft. Wing au that comes out of nowhere.
Notes:
For StarthornFromScratch.
I was making this for my sister because she got sick but then *I* got sick as well, so I couldn't finish it before she got better. :,) Also I don't care Blue gets his old outfit because I like it better. Oh and I forgot what gender half the Pokemon here are, so I just called them "they" and "it" interchangeably. TWs: Descriptions of pain and all that. Maybe slight body horror? I don't really know how that works. (Also mild swearing but it's just a few words.)
Yellow slid down the side of the Charizard, his orange scales smooth enough for her to slip right off. Her feet hit the ground with a soft thump, the dirt muffling her landing to a comfortable pat. She turned back to the Pokemon and the boy on top of it, her hair swishing around her and narrowly missing hitting her in the face.
She grinned up at the boy, his green eyes hidden slightly in the shadow of his hair. It was a rather ridiculous style to tell the truth, but she didn’t really have room to talk there and it’s not that she minded it.
“Thanks for the ride!” She told the two of them. Both Pokemon and trainer nodded in response, but after a moment of awkwardly standing around, Blue opened his mouth.
“I, uh, wanted to tell you something,” he said, his voice both more unsure and quieter than usual. Yellow frowned, that wasn’t necessarily a bad thing, but it was unlike him.
“What is it?” Yellow asked, studying Blue’s face in a way she hoped looked friendly from his perspective.
He blushed and her eyes widened, now that was really unlike him! Sure, Blue wasn’t some emotionless robot, but he didn’t show his emotions as often as most of the other people Yellow knew. There were exceptions of course but Blue wasn’t one to share such things as feelings.
Her thoughts were cut short as Blue spoke, “I was wondering if you could, well,” he scratched the back of his head, “I was thinking that maybe we could practice some training you know? Just like old times?” The last few words cracked slightly. His eyes darted about, and the blush on his face only darkened as Yellow nodded.
“Yeah that sounds fun,” she grinned, pausing for a bit too long before reaching for a Pokeball. Once she got her hands on it, she pulled out the one for Chu-Chu. Even though the electric type could be seen lying quite comfortably on the floor, Yellow felt a pang of guilt. She normally wouldn’t put the Pokemon in a Pokeball, as she wasn’t the most fond of the small spaces, but she hadn’t wanted Chu-Chu to fall when she and Blue were flying. She knew by the calmness in the Pokemon that she really hadn’t minded, but Yellow couldn’t help feeling a little bad.
A soft thump sounded behind her, and she looked up from the Pokeball to see Blue standing next to Charizard, he was holding his Pokedex in one hand and a Pokeball in the other. Yellow studied his stance, he looked confident again, and she briefly wondered why he had acted so strange just a second earlier.
Blue looked up, probably having felt her gaze on him, and for a moment they locked eyes. His eyes were a rather pretty shade of green, but they did make Yellow wonder why his name was Blue and not Green. Ah well, probably better to have only one pretty person in the friend group named Green.
Yellow tore her eyes away from Blue, her face heating up as she looked down at the Pokeball in her hand. The Pikachu inside was now staring up at her with a sleepy expression on her face, Yellow just hoped she hadn’t noticed too much. The Pokemon was very keen on anything between people and Yellow knew that she wouldn’t hear the end of it if Chu-chu assumed she liked someone. Chu-Chu was her Pokemon, but sometimes she felt like a mother.
“Are you ready to go?” Blue asked, his voice brought Yellow out of her thoughts, it sounded kind of blank, but she knew that was just how he was.
She turned to Blue, awkwardly smiling, she shook her head, “No, I’m not, I was gonna use Chu-Chu, but I think she’s sleepy,” She looked down at the Pokeball, gesturing at the sleepy Pikachu inside.
Blue stepped closer, his cloak wavering in the slight breeze. He looked down at the Pokeball and cocked his head to the side. Yellow glanced back at Chu-Chu, the pokemon could not be seen stretching and yawning, certainly sleepy.
“I suppose,” Blue said, he shook his head, “Did you bring any other Pokemon with you?”
“Yeah, of course I did,” Yellow laughed and dug into her bag, her hand emerged holding two Pokeballs. Kitty and Ommy, maybe not the smartest choices for a battle with Blue, but not the worst. (Ommy would have a type advantage over Charizard, but Kitty- Kitty is a bug type.)
“Great,” Blue responded, puting Charizard back into a Pokeball and tossing the one he had been holding before. It was his Scizor, great, bug was weak to steel. Kitty was already at a disadvantage level wise, and now… “Ready now?” She nodded. They turned and took a few steps away from each other, once they stopped, Yellow briefly closed her eyes and inhaled, she could do this.
“Ready-?” Blue asked, his voice cutting into itself slightly.
“Yes,” she responded.
“Alright, go!”
The two turned around. Blue tossed his pokeball, and, in a split second decision, Yellow released Ommy.
Blue looked slightly confused at her move (Ommy was fairly low level in comparison), but didn’t ask about it, instead choosing to yell a command. Scizor instantly responded to him, lunging forwards instantly, it grabbed Ommy in it’s claws. Luckily, Ommy’s shell took most of the crunch, but Yellow could tell she didn’t have time to think about the next move.
“Ommy! Water gun!” she shouted, jumping from one foot to the other in anticipation of the battle. (Yes the one that she was in the middle of.) The pokemon turned slightly, the move hitting Scizor right in the face, but unfortunately, Blue had trained it well. It didn’t budge.
“Alright! Scizor use X-Scissor!” Blue yelled, throwing his hand to the side, as if trying to appear more threatening. But even with the silly movement, the Pokemon responded, momentarily letting go of Ommy, but Yellow didn’t even try to tell the Pokemon to move. It would just stress them out, they just were not fast enough to dodge. But even so, Yellow cringed as the move hit her pokemon, it’s body shaking slightly in the strength of the hit.
“Don’t give up!” Yellow yelled, hoping that she would be able to encourage the Pokemon that way, “You got this! Use Hydro Pump!” Ommy complied, lifting it’s body slightly and aiming at Scizor before firing.
“Scizor move!” Blue shouted,
“Ommy try again!”
The move hit.
“Good one Ommy!” She shouted, jumping up and down once or twice.
But Blue didn’t seem to celebrate her success. “Scizor use X-Scissor again,” he said, his voice much quieter than it had been last time he had spoken, Yellow was pretty sure he was asking his Pokemon if it was okay.
Unfortunately, she couldn’t dwell on how sweet that was, mostly because both her and Ommy were getting their asses kicked in battle.
Her Pokemon fell over, “Ommy!” she shouted, making to move to run forwards before something… something happened.
Pain burst out over her back, and the girl fell to her knees. She gasped in pain, eyes wide open and facing the ground. “Yellow-?!” Blue started, but his own sound of surprise cut him off before he could finish his sentence.
Yellow grunted as the pain intensified, squeezing her eyes shut and collapsing further into the floor. Distantly, she heard a sound of concern from Scizor, the Pokemon obviously very worried for her and it’s owner. She wanted to go and comfort it, and also give Ommy a full heal, but honestly, there was never a time she wished she could magically heal herself more.
Blue shouted in pain, and Yellow forced herself to look up, her face dragging painfully over the ground as she struggled. She placed one hand on the ground in a movement that could have been saving the whole world (Meaning, it was difficult and possibly not worth it.) and forced herself above the stones.
Blue was crumpled on the ground, his face hidden behind layers of hair and half of his arm (The rest of which was hidden under his cloak.). As she watched, her own pain faded slightly, but the ache and tightness in her chest grew more and more concerning as she stumbled over to Blue. He was twitching slightly all over, But the part of a person you would expect to stay vaguely still, his back, was moving more than the rest of him. Sure his clothing covered it, but it almost looked like some sort of pokemon was trying to get free.
Suddenly Yellow had a… a thought, and her heart seemed to drop right out of her body as she realised it. She ran forwards, landing roughly on her knees as she put her hand on Blue’s back. Sure enough, it felt like there was something there that hadn’t been there before.
Thinking harder about the situation, she reached behind to her own back, and she froze, if her heart hadn’t fallen before, it certainly had now. She felt something there.
She moved her hand back to Blue’s back, debating for just a moment before she went through with it. She gently lifted Blue’s cloak, the poor guy had stopped twitching by now, but he was still lying there, shaky breaths moving through him. (Yellow guessed that his magic amulet thing hadn’t extended to this pain.)
But as she moved the fabric, what had happened became clear. She dropped the fabric and gasped, Scizor also making a sound of surprise as it noticed what was going on. Yellow clapped her hand to her mouth, the other still firmly placed on the ground next to her. She turned to Scizor, the Pokemon’s eyes were as wide as hers felt, but thankfully the shock hadn’t been enough for it to drop what it had been holding. Ommy probably wouldn’t have appreciated that.
Yellow sat there for a moment, hand over her mouth and eyes trained firmly on nothing in particular, but a groan of pain to her side reminded her of what was going on. She looked back to Blue, but she was too slow to advise him not to move. Unfortunately, he picked the worst way to move, rolling over onto his back before instantly yelping in pain, the new skin obviously still sore.
Blue shot up, head just missing Yellow and instead hitting Scizor in the knee. The Pokemon jumped back, Ommy teetering dangerously in it’s claws, before landing on the ground just a few steps away.
Blue however stayed half sat up, obviously very done with the situation reading by the expression on his face. His eyes were staring at a mountain in the distance, looking right over the trees and up into the sky.
They stayed that way for a moment, Scizor trying not to drop a pokemon, Ommy in need of a full heal, and Yellow and Blue staring at something beautiful. (Yellow’s looking at Blue so of course the comparison counts.) But sooner rather than later, the moment left them.
“What the hell happened,” Blue said, the sentence wasn’t a question, it was more like a statement trying not to ask anything. But Yellow felt the need to answer it anyway.
Yellow paused before speaking, her eyes flicking down towards the ground between them, a trail of ants decorated the grass nearby. And, with her eyes still burrowing into the ground, she spoke, “Check under your cloak,”
Blue looked at her, obviously confused by the vagueness of her answer, but after a moment of staring into her soul, he obliged. Lifting the dark gray fabric, he gazed at his back, or rather, wings . A moment passed, a confused darkness forming in his eyes before it was up. He jumped up and shrieked, two large wings protruded from his back. (The feathers on the inside are a rather pleasant cream color, besides the blue accents along the edges. Yellow couldn’t quite identify the animal they came from, but it was definitely a Pokemon.) They had pushed their way through the fabric of his sweatshirt, the purple fabric’s torn edges messing with the feathers at their border.
Blue looked from her, to his wings, to back to her, and then back to his wings, before spinning in a circle. His wings were outstretched, as if Blue was trying to push them off himself, and it was this movement that reminded Yellow that she had the same problem to deal with.
Her heart (which had traveled back to her chest by now) dropped again, and she reached back to feel her back, her clothing either stronger than that of Blue’s sweatshirt, or her wings slightly smaller than his. Both were fine, she guessed.
Yellow swallowed and turned to Scizor, “Could you hide me for a moment?” the Pokemon nodded, standing in between her and Blue and buzzing it’s own wings, the movement not quite fast enough to make them disappear, but enough to cover her some. “Thank you,” she said gratefully before slipping out of her yellow clothing. (The belt was still firmly placed on her hips after she had removed the yellow fabric.) She moved to take off her shirt before thinking better of the action. She looked back towards Blue, the boy now looking the other direction, wings shaking slightly. Yellow blushed violently as she realised that he must have seen what she was doing.
It was good that he looked away though, she thought, pulling her shirt over her head and checking the wings, she identified them immediately as a Pidgy. The fluffy brown feathers appeared almost torn over the yellow ones. They were pretty, but Yellow was still worried about why the heck they had appeared.
She turned to her clothing on the ground, and, taking her survival knife out of her belt, cut holes in the back of the black shirt, measuring the bases of her wings crudely with her hands before of course. As she brought the blade across the fabrics, she was shaking, she might appear calm on the outside, but internally, she was freaking out. It wasn’t that she didn’t want wings, no, that wasn’t it at all, she was just terrified about what this would mean for her future. Was she a person still? Or was she some sort of Pokemon? What had even HAPPENED to cause this?
She slipped the garment back over her head, before pulling her wings through the slits. She moved one through itself but used her hand for the other, she wasn’t used to moving the limbs yet. After that awkwardness she leaned over to pick up her yellow garb, but a cough from behind interrupted her.
“Are you done yet?” Blue asked, his voice was muffled, as if he had his head in his hands. She looked over, the blush on his face causing hers to flare to life as well.
“I- I think so,” she said. Her eyes darted back to the ground as soon as Blue looked towards her.
A brief but awkward pause passed.
“What should we do now?” It was her who spoke, and she jumped at her own voice. The sentence had been meant to be for herself.
Blue sighed before speaking. “Well, you could fix up Omastar,”
“Ommy,” she corrected him, blushing again and turning back to Scizor. The Pokemon held out Ommy, their blue tentacles moving to hold onto Yellow’s hands as she grabbed them.
She looked back at Scizor, “Thank you for holding Ommy,” she said smiling, before turning her focus back to the aforementioned water type. Their spikey shell shaking as Yellow held them.
“Sorry for making you wait so long Ommy,” she whispered, closing her eyes as she let her magic surge through her. She relaxed, vaguely noting a pull on her shirt as her wings flopped to the ground, and then she exhaled. She could feel the glow of magic passing over her, and she could hear Blue turning to watch. Ommy twitched in her hands, the injured Pokemon healing as the waves of high washed over it.
Ommy tapped her arm, it’s blue tentacle making squishy contact with her sleeve in exactly the way that they had conspired. Yellow stopped the magic and looked down at the water type. It shuddered and thanked her, and she nodded. “You’re welcome,” she grinned down at the Pokemon before looking back at Blue. (Scizor having moved to his side and now checking out the feathers on his wings. They seemed to have an idea what species they were.)
“So,” she said. Her voice cracked at the end as she (once again) thought about what had just happened.
Blue nodded, “So,” he said, imitating her voice crack in the monotone way only he could.
“Wow thanks,” she responded, laughter shaking her whole body and reminding her to move her wings back up to a folded position, she couldn’t have those wonderful yellow feathers dragging on the ground now could she. (Even if she wasn’t entirely convinced they were hers.)
Blue nodded, and, either not noticing the playfulness in her tone or purposely choosing to ignore it, he brought them back to the obvious problem. “Really what do we do now,” he asked, flexing a wing out to the side, the cloak falling away from the feathered wing in a kind sort of way.
Yellow shuddered, “I don’t know Blue,” and for once, her tone was completely serious.
--- -  -    -             -              -
They made their way to Viridian city, it wasn’t that far from Yellow’s house (near where they had been fighting), and they had both guessed that the pokemon center there could help them. They had opted not to fly, either with a Pokemon or on their own, this way they had more time to think. Soft thumping sounded along the path as they walked along it.
Scizor and Ommy were back in their Pokeballs and Chu-Chu was out of hers. The Pikachu had been rather terrified when Yellow had fallen to the ground, and her worry was not exactly cut down when there were screams of pain. (But the Pokemon had been smart enough not to emerge from the safe spot, she had had enough experience with what could come from that.) But unfortunately, all of that meant that now she was scolding Yellow. Squeaking that obviously made no sense to Blue was like a concerned mother’s voice to her. Kind but worried beyond belief and just slightly angry because of it.
Yellow put her hands to her ears, jokingly begging Chu-Chu to stop her “tirade” and calm down, but the Pokemon was having none of it. Squeaks and chirps told her off as the group walked. She turned to Blue and mouthed a quick “Help me,” He held back a laugh, but of course Chu-Chu noticed. Puffing her fur up indignantly before starting up again, the Pikachu explained (with language that Yellow would not normally have expected from her.) how rude she was being right now. But there was a playfulness to it that Yellow was able to catch, the Pokemon wasn’t really mad at her.
She leaned down to pick up Chu-Chu, the pokemon purred as soon as her feet were off the ground before shutting up. (Pro tip apparently, if you are ever getting scolded by an adult, just pick them up around the middle.) She looked over to Blue, who, she realised, seemed to be holding back laughter, she pouted at him, the joking expression causing just a smidge of his laughter to be released. She laughed then, both sets of wings shaking violently as the two shared the moment. Their feet stumbling only slightly on the uneven ground as they forgot to look which way they were going.
Chu-Chu made her own snickering noises as she hopped onto Yellow’s shoulder, her soft paw pads pattering against the fabric. Yellow reached up to pat the Pokemon on the head, the electric type making happy noises the same way a dog or cat would react to that sort of thing.
A soft moment passed. But, Blue was still trying to clear up his laughter by the end of it, and, body shaking, he dropped Yellow’s extra clothing. (The one she hadn’t cut holes in the back of.) She sighed in a dramatised way, sure to let the sarcasm in the sound be as obvious as possible to further elevate the hilarity in it.
“Blue how dare you,” she said, voice flat despite the obvious joke behind the statement.
Blue laughed awkwardly, he attempted to lean down to pick up the outfit, but the weight of his wings caused him to fall over. Now it was Yellow’s turn to try and fail to hold back a laugh. She knew this had happened because of their centers of gravity being thrown off, but it was still sort of amusing to see such a normally balanced person stumble. But she quickly swallowed her snickering in favor of asking if Blue was alright. The other dex holder stood back up, his face was red, but he also seemed to be holding in a chuckle or two. (Which Yellow was glad for, she hadn’t wanted to come off as rude.)
“‘m fine,” he responded gruffly, green eyes alight with embarrassment and humor, a combination Yellow would have expected on herself, but not on Blue.
“You sure?” She asked again, and when he nodded, holding her… garment, out to her, she had to struggle to hold in another laugh. Apparently things were just funnier when you had recently grown more limbs.
Yellow reached out and took it, slinging it over her shoulder (The one Chu-Chu was not on) for safekeeping. Blue smiled slightly, turning his head down to the earth until his hair covered part of his face. The shadows sent by the brown strands just enough to hide his eyes, but leaving his mouth and nose out in the light. And, theory proven, she struggled not to laugh at that as well. . . . This was vaguely pathetic wasn’t it.
Yellow sighed, hoping that the sound wasn’t too sad, she just had no idea what they were going to do. They had wings for heaven's sake! Those weren’t something she would necessarily consider a bad thing, but they were not a human characteristic!  They were something that animals had! Animals and Pokemon, and not all of them at that.
She looked to the ground and studied the rocks strewn across the path. They were small enough to kick, but she didn’t know if she was going to or not. Such a movement might throw her off balance, and that was something she would rather avoid.
A comforting sound made its way to her ear, and Yellow was instantly thankful that Chu-Chu was so kind. She reached up to the Pokemon’s head, petting the soft fur and making her own little cooing sounds. Chu-Chu responded by rubbing her forehead against Yellow’s cheek, obviously trying to make as sure as possible that she didn’t accidentally shock the girl. That wouldn’t be a very friendly thing to do. Yellow reciprocated the movement and thanked Chu-Chu in her mind, the Pikachu was such a good “mother figure.”
“So,” Blue started, but before he could get anywhere in his sentence he hesitated.
Yellow looked back at him. Chu-Chu spun around on her shoulder, but the Pokemon’s lightning bolt tail wacked Yellow right across the face. The pokemon trainer glanced at Chu-Chu to see her holding her paws in front of her mouth, she looked to be right on the verge of apologizing violently. And, in only a moment, she did begin to. Yellow quietly told her it was okay, and, after waiting for the Pikachu to stop, she turned back to Blue. He was looking at her with an unreadable expression, but even with that, Yellow could guess he was worried.
There was a moment before he spoke. “Do you-,” he paused again, now actually looking worried, “Do you think it’s a good idea to go into town looking like this?”
Yellow cocked her head to the side and turned to face him entirely. “What do you mean?” she asked, now walking backwards on the trail.
Blue scratched his head, “Well, I mean, it might be a better idea to just go to your house right? And call our friends from there, I just- I just think that some people might be scared,” He looked down at the ground again and his wings shifted uncomfortably beneath his cloak.
Yellow felt her face shift into that of concern before she spoke. “I mean, they might be, but aren’t we going there to get the Pokemon center to help us?,”  Chu-Chu made a sound of agreement.
“I just have a bad feeling about this whole thing, that’s all,” Blue responded. The statement sounded just as confused and concerned as Yellow felt, but that made it all the more believable.
She opened her mouth to say something, but before she could get the words out, a shriek of fear came from behind her. Her eyes widened and she clapped a hand to her mouth. Blue locked his eyes to hers, actual fear showing through them. Chu-Chu spun around once again and her short claws dug into Yellow’s shoulders as her fur poofed up.
Yellow slowly turned, causing Chu-Chu to jump onto her head so as not to be rotated back to facing Blue. She smiled weakly at the person she saw there. Their hands hid the majority of their face as they stared at her. She was also quick to notice their body shaking as they looked her up and down.
Yellow was the first to speak, “I don’t know what happened either,” she said, voice kept as level as she could force it to be. With that statement she saw the other person both visibly relax and get much more worried. Yellow glanced back to Blue. He didn’t show any signs of noticing the look, opting to instead look terrified. Which, Yellow supposed, probably wasn’t any sort of acting considering she also felt scared.
The other person dropped one arm to fidget with the edge of their shirt, the fabric moving kindly with the movements. They looked down at their feet. “Are you guys okay?” Their voice was weak and slightly more high pitched than what she guessed was normal for them, “You didn’t get experimented on or anything- right?” They looked up to shift their gaze between the two of them, eyes wide with concern and fear.
Yellow gasped, realising now what Blue had been worried about. “No no no, we’re fine!” She waved her hands in front of her face and unconsciously spread her wings out to the sides, the frantic movements a hopeless attempt to appear less threatening. But instead, the person in front of her cringed back as the feathery appendages made themselves known once more.
They didn’t necessarily look scared, but that was definitely a part of it. Yellow quickly folded her wings back up, profusely apologizing to the poor person she had just frightened. But they just shook their head. Hair flopping down in front of their face as they shifted their gaze to the ground.
“Yellow-” Blue started, taking a step forward and just barely stopping himself from setting a hand on her shoulder. She looked back at him, a calm and comforting smile shaking on his face. She grimaced back before turning back to the person.
“Just forget, um, about this, we are gonna go home now,” She said quietly, the person’s expression changing from afraid to confused in a split second.
Yellow tapped Chu-Chu on the shoulder, telling the Pokemon that they might have to run soon. The Pickachu made a soft trilling noise in response. “I think this is probably just a dream,” Yellow said, slightly louder now, and then she turned around. Blue was now walking ahead of her, very strongly leading the two of them into a forest. Blue lined feathers poked out just below the hem of his cloak. They were pretty. Yellow thought, and again she wondered what species they came from.
Blue stepped through the ferns on the edge of the woods, and Yellow followed. Just a moment later, sounds of disbelief and concern finally made themselves known. Yellow truly hoped that they hadn't given the poor dude a heart attack.
She watched Blue’s hand as he carefully reached for his Pokegear, most likely going to message Red or Green about the situation they had gotten themselves into. Thinking about it, Yellow’s face burned and she picked up her pace. This was a disaster, and she felt horrible about it. (Despite none of it really being her fault.)
Yellow glanced behind herself, seeing the person left in the middle of the route, probably lacking the Pokemon to follow them honestly. No hate to anyone without Pokemon, it was a respectable life, but it did give the dexholders an advantage here.
He turned back to Blue, and, seeing as he was now ahead by quite a bit, ran to catch up with him. Sticks cracked under her boots and limbs she wasn’t used to having caught on branches. All of this was rather painful of course, but she knew she had to get out of here. (It was possible that the person behind them would call someone on them. Yellow knew they didn’t look normal whatsoever. What with the wings and all that.)
Chu-Chu let out a yelp of pain as a stick smacked her right across the face, Yellow cringed at this, but knew she mustn't slow down, not yet. They needed to move.
She looked back up at Blue, he was running rather skillfully, she noted. Yellow was good at running through forests because she lived in one, but she didn’t have a clue why Blue was. (Besides the running around and saving the world part of course.)
She watched his cloak ripple in the wind. And then her eyes move to his wings. They fluffed out to the sides just a bit every time he landed a step. (But not before going back into their tightly folded pose.) This was very well done too, neither of them knew how to keep them in one place, but Blue seemed to be at least aware that they were there. Hers however were making contact with all sorts of trees and sleepy wild pokemon.
She felt her face flush. Oh man this was going to be such a long day.
--- -  -    -             -              -
Yellow stood in one place, chest heaving as she savored the sweet air of safety, or rather, her own front yard.  She looked up at Blue, who was in a rather similar half bent over position. His hands were on his knees and his wings were pointed straight up at the sky. They shook with every breath, as if holding them there was painful. Yellow looked back at her own wings, the feathery appendages still not something she really recognized as her own. She sighed. What a mess they were in. First, they grow wings, and then second, they get seen. This was awful. And with their status, it wasn’t long before people would come knocking on her door.
“We should have been more careful,” She looked back at Blue with the sound of his voice. He was still breathing heavily, but to be fair, so was she. She stood up straight, the movement causing tangled hair to fall between her wings.
“Yeah, well, at least we got away?” It was more of a question than anything, but Blue nodded.
“You’re right,” he said softly. Quickly pushing himself back up to a regular standing position after the sentence was uttered. He shook his head from side to side, seemingly trying to get a leaf to leave his hair. . . . It didn’t work.
“You got Chu-Chu?” He asked, eyes scanning the area in sudden worry.
Yellow nodded and lifted a Pokeball, “Yeah, I put her in here just in case. I know she normally doesn’t like them but I didn’t want her to keep getting hit with branches,”
Blue nodded as well, “That was smart,” he turned his head towards her home, “Do you think we should go inside?” The question was soft, as if it meant more than just hiding from some cops. But not in a weird way, more like drinking warm milk and playing board games. Her face heated up again, maybe she was overthinking it.
Yellow shook her head, but then realised she had been asked a question and began nodding. An awkward silence fell over them before it was broken by Blue. “I’m sorry Yellow but which is it?” His tone was playful. Yellow laughed softly.
“Let’s go inside,” she smiled before turning to walk into her house. She made her way across the yard (more like a wooded clearing really) and then ascended the three steps to the entrance. She shifted her wings slightly as she got the key from under the mat. Blue scoffed at this.
“Really? Under the mat?” He scolded. Yellow laughed. There it was, that joking tone again.
“Well, if anyone trying to rob me has Pokemon, there are better ways into a building,”
Blue chuckled at this. The sound made Yellow joyful as she fumbled with the lock. It was kind of encouraging really, having such a cool person laugh at your jokes. She felt the same whenever Green responded to her that way. . . But she tried not to dwell on that, the thought only brought more confusing feelings to her heart.
The door creaked open and Yellow stepped inside, having to remember to fold her wings again. They had been left to drag on the ground as she had focused on the lock. She shook her head. If she was gonna be stuck with these things for the rest of her life, she should probably learn how to properly control them.
That she was looking forward to.
She marched down the hall, Blue following behind her like a baby Farfetched behind it’s mother. The comparison made her feel kind of strange, but it sort of fit in the situation to be frank.
She abruptly turned, flicking the lights on as she entered the next room. It was the dining room, a small stove setup blended in next to the mini fridge and cupboards. A table sat in the middle of the room, exactly four chairs were around it. (One for her, one for her uncle (if he visited), one for Chu-Chu or whatever Pokemon wanted to eat with them, and one extra.) There was a chair at both the head and foot of the table, and two on one of the other sides. She glanced up at Blue, he looked slightly confused about the setup but didn’t seem to mind it.
“Um, I was thinking we might want to eat,” she said awkwardly, gesturing vaguely around the room as she spoke.
Blue nodded, “That’s a good idea,”
They paused for a moment longer as Yellow contemplated what to do next, but she was quickly done thinking. The girl turned and walked towards the cupboards, hoping to get some sort of dried fruit or something. She couldn’t remember if she had any, but they sounded great right now. “Sesame seeds would also be good,” she thought, but unfortunately, she knew she didn’t have any of those.
Once she had reached her destination, she laid her yellow garment across the counter and turned to look at Blue. The other dexholder was pulling a chair back at the table, it made some seriously awful sounds on the floor, but he didn’t flinch. Yellow sighed (It wasn’t a disappointed sigh but it wasn’t a romantic sigh either.) and turned back to what she was doing.
She opened the cupboards and searched for food. There was a bag of banana chips and a can of nuts. (There was also a rather dry looking can of pokemon food along with a box full of granola bars. And when she got a closer look, she could see it had passed the expiration date by a week or so.) She sighed and closed the cabinet, she had been on a training mission for a few weeks, of course her food was messed up. Then turned around to face Blue.
“Hm?” he asked, not looking up. He seemed to have been examining the feathers of his wings, looking over the off-white and red brown, but mostly focusing on the blue.
Yellow pointed tiredly to the cupboard before dropping her arm to her side, “My food’s either rotted or gross,” she closed her eyes and brought her hands up to massage her face, doing that for a moment before dropping her hands and sighing again. “What are you doing?” she asked, looking up at Blue.
He looked at her distractedly, “I think I know what kind of Pokemon these are,” he said, turning back to the feathers almost immediately.
Yellow was surprised at that, she had guessed they were a Pokemon, but she didn’t really know what kind they were. It certainly was not something she had seen before. “Oh really?”
“Yeah,”
She paused before speaking. “Would you mind telling me what you think they are?”
He glanced back up again, but quickly turned his gaze back down. “No,” Yellow raised an eyebrow, “I’m not completely sold on it yet,”
She closed her eyes and leaned back, sighing for what felt like the millionth time in the last ten minutes. “It’s not always bad to be wrong Blue,”
When he finally spoke his voice was soft. “I know,”
Yellow opened one golden eye. She studied Blue, he was hunkered over the table, eyes trained on the wing, but not really focused. The trainer cocked her head to the side, watching as Blue moved his hand over the feathers. He seemed so entranced on them, but at the same time so distant from thinking. In short, he looked like he was off in another world.
They stayed like that for a while, feathers occasionally shifting when they remembered they had wings, and eyes looking lazily about the room. It felt strangely domestic, despite the only food in the house being either bad or just generally bad. (Yellow knew there was no food in any other cabinets or the fridge, she had emptied all but this one for her trip. Unfortunately this plan had backfired slightly, now she had to choose between banana chips, nuts, or nothing. She didn’t want any of those options.) She supposed she could technically eat the granola bars or the pokemon food, she was fairly sure she had read something saying that not all food gets rotten on the best-by date, but she wasn’t willing to risk it. Dry pokemon food and granola bars were not exactly the best meal.
Blue sighed and sat up straight, wings flopping down to the floor on either side of him as she refocused on him. “What is it?” She asked
He looked at her with an expression that told her that the answer should be obvious. “We randomly grow wings and now we are hiding in your house,” His face stayed blank for half a second, before a rather red blush passed over it, “Not that I necessarily mind any of that-” he quickly corrected himself, voice a little more high pitched than Yellow would generally expect.
But not that odd behavior mattered, especially when she herself related to it. Yellow laughed at the thought, waving her hand in a way she hoped conveyed that she wasn’t laughing at him. He seemed to be trying to smile along with her, but it came off as more of a grimace.
Yellow continued laughing, it was kind of hysterical, but she couldn’t tell if it was in a good or bad way. This day had just been the definition of crazy. (Not in any rude way though.) She didn’t really- well, she had no idea what was going on. It was just… wild honestly.
She took a minute or so more of continuous wing shaking for her to calm down. And once she did she felt the need to speak, “Have you told Red or Green yet?” she asked, wiping a tear from her eye.
He hesitated for a moment before shaking his head, “No I haven’t,”
This worried her slightly. The entire plan had been to get help from people, and if they couldn’t trust the pokemon center, their friends were the next best bet. “Why not?”
“I-” he cut himself off before continuing, “I just don’t know how they would react you know? Maybe wait a week and see what to do then?”
She grimaced, it wasn’t a bad idea, but it wasn’t exactly a plan. “Are you hoping they just go away?” she asked, “The wings I mean, not Red and Green,”
Blue forced a smile at that, “Maybe? They are nice and all, but I kind of want to walk around in public without people staring at me,”
“We are both famous Pokemon trainers and literally have fanclubs,” Yellow helpfully pointed out.
That Blue did smile at, though it quickly faded into worry.
Yellow cocked her head to the side and knit her eyebrows together. The worry was understandable of course, but she preferred to stay upbeat. It’s not like the world was ending or anything, they just had wings now. That wasn’t the end of everything, and she knew that for a fact considering how much she had almost seen that happen.
Blue had seen that too. She glanced back to his face, it was still covered partially by his hair and hidden in shadow. It would be a good look on him if he didn’t also seem so genuinely scared. The thought made her wonder if he thought this was a sign of times ending. She guessed it could be considered to be like that, but they were just wings, how bad could it be?
She was shook from her thoughts by Blue standing up. The movement was rather fast and unexpected, and with the wings there, more of her vision changed then she was expecting. Blue took a few steps towards the door out of the kitchen, reaching for his Pokegear (which had apparently been set on the counter.) on the way out.
“Wait where are you going?” Yellow called, jumping off the counter and lightly landing on the floor to follow him.
“To get some fresh air!” He called back, voice slightly echo-y from the hallway he was now in.
Yellow rolled her eyes, “I’m going with you!” She yelled after him before. turning back to the cabinet and quickly picking up the banana chips. Even if they were gross, she was still hungry. And also, she wanted to at least get rid of them before they went bad as well, there had been too much of that lately.
Following Blue, she made her way out of the house and into the clearing around it. She heard a Pidgey and instinctively looked for it. Unfortunately, the Pokemon was nowhere to be seen. She sighed, sadly turning to look at her own wings. She extended one and the yellow and brown feathers spread out. It was something she was used to seeing on birds, but it was weird to feel the movement as it happened. . . . But it wasn’t a bad kind of weird.
Sunlight streamed through leaves and shone into the clearing. Technically there were no trees near her, but many branches still stretched above and blocked the sky. It was nice to be in the shade though, especially nice when your electricity died every other day. (Even in summer! How inconsiderate.)
She looked to Blue, the other dexholder stated longingly up at the sky above. (Or rather, the leaves above.) Yellow followed his gaze, and even though she had just looked up, she caught wind of what he was feeling. He wanted to fly and so did she.
But would that even be possible? I mean, the wings were definitely big enough, but wasn’t there something about weight that had to do with this? She and Blue were not heavy, but they were human (or, she hoped so) and therefore lacked hollow bones. But as she thought about it, (Unconsciously stretching her wings as she did so.) she remembered the pain that she had felt. That combined with the weird weakness she had been trying not to think about…
It was possible.
She looked back to Blue, he had one wing folded, and the other out to the side. The blue tips of the feathers looked very pretty with the greenery around them. She smirked slightly, Blue’s name compared to his eye color was a vaguely similar situation. The thought caused her to need to stifle her laughter, but thankfully, Blue didn’t look back. (If he had, he might have spotted her blushing, and who could blame her, the wings suited him.)
. . . She hoped her own did too.
“So,” Blue awkwardly started, “Do you want to see if we can use these?” He shifted his wings and turned to face her, his face was slightly red, but Yellow guessed he was just worried.
“I mean, I would love to try, but how would it be possible?” She asked carefully, “I mean, besides actually being light enough, how would we get into the air?”
Blue pointed over her shoulder and she turned to look. Instantly, her face paled. “The roof?” She asked, “Would that even be high enough to catch ourselves?”
She whipped back around to Blue just in time to see him shrug. “I mean, it would be better than jumping off the top of a tree and not being able to catch ourselves at all,”
Yellow cringed at that, she could heal Pokemon, but people were a different story. If they fell off a tree they would probably have to go to a doctor, and that wasn’t really an option right now. “I guess you’re right,” she sighed, her own wings flopping defeatedly towards the ground, the ends of them laying decently far across the mossy forest floor.
Blue smiled and nodded, closing his eyes and turning his face to the sky as he did. Wind swept into the clearing, the leaves above shuffling violently as the air moved through them. Yellow felt her feathers shift as the wind hit them, it wasn’t uncomfortable though, a nice sort of scratching feeling. She sighed and closed her eyes too, letting the wind calm her down. She hoped it would bring her the confidence to fly.
The wind slowly ended, leaves stopping their rustling just a few moments after the air finished brushing through Yellow’s hair. Blue and Yellow stood in comfortable silence for a moment longer, Blue letting out a loud sigh at the end of it.
“Should we…” Yellow paused, her stomach suddenly full of butterflies again (but not for Blue, no, not right now.) “Should I show you how to climb to the roof?”
“No I’m good,” Blue said, starting towards the correct way up.
“Do I need to ask you how you know this?” Yellow called after him. (In truth she didn’t care that much, she knew all the secret ways into many of her friends' houses. It was just a thing you needed to know when you had to save the world every four days.)
Blue’s laugh rang back to her. “Green showed me, she seemed very proud of herself for figuring it out,”
This caused the butterflies in Yellow’s stomach to fire up again. Two pretty people knew how to get on her roof? After a moment of mildly stuned stillness, she raced after Blue, “How does she know the way onto my roof??!” she shouted, hoping her voice sounded more freaked out than embarrassed, because that’s certainly what she was catching from it.
Blue laughed again, “She didn’t disclose that to me,” he hopped to reach a low branch of a maple tree before pulling himself onto it. Wings flailed about, the right one narrowly missing the very tree he was climbing into. Yellow noticed that his arms were shaking more than they normally would, the wings were definitely throwing off his balance. She didn’t really want to know what hers would prove to mess her up with.
She was dragged out of her thoughts by Blue standing up on the branch. His wings were unevenly spread to the sides, they looked like they were trying to get his balance back. Yellow kept that in mind for her turn.
He made eye contact with her and awkwardly nodded. “I’ll just… uh, jump to the roof now,” he said, turning back to the roof in question.
She nodded, despite knowing he wasn’t looking at her anymore. “That sound good, go on,”
He did exactly that, wings folding back slightly as he moved through the air but flaring out again when he landed. She cringed at the hard landing, normally you had to roll to minimise the impact, but she guessed the wings were getinging in the way of that. Shockingly, his feet didn’t go straight through the shingles, good.
Yellow watched as he walked gingerly away from the spot, he looked slightly embarrassed about the landing.
“You coming?” He asked.
She blushed, “Yeah, just give me a moment,”
--- -  -    -             -              -
They stood vaguely next to each other on the roof, careful to stay away from the very edge, the shingles were thin there. “ The ground sure does look further away from here,” Yellow’s face paled as the thought passed across her mind. Normally the girl wasn’t afraid of heights, but this time she was planning to jump off without a Pokemon to catch her. The idea was slightly sickening.
She looked up at Blue and studied his face. He looked mostly emotionless, but there was a small bit of fear behind it. She smiled slightly, it was good to know they were in the same boat.
“No going back now,” Blue hissed, kindly taking a few more steps away before making a few practice flaps of his wings. The movements caused huge blocks of air to smack into Yellow, her hair going wild when it made contact. Blue didn’t seem to notice though.
Yellow made a few experimental beats of her own wings. The movements felt oddly natural, she realised. Unfortunately, she couldn’t quite tell if it was a “I was made to do this” natural or a “wow I didn’t throw myself off the roof' natural. She supposed both were fairly good options considering her situation.
When Blue spoke, his voice was shaky, “Do you want to go first or do I?” she looked at him again, his eyes were trained directly on the ground below. He looked worried.
Yellow inhaled sharply, this wasn’t a decision that she really wanted to make, but she wasn’t some sort of pansy flower that couldn’t make it. For just a moment, silence settled over them, but sooner rather than later she broke it, “I’ll go first,” she said quietly, turning her gaze down to her feet, the view bringing a dizzying feeling to her.
She felt Blue’s piercing gaze on her, “Are you sure?” He somehow sounded more worried than before. Her heart warmed, realising he was worried about her she looked back to him.
“Yes I’m sure,”
Yellow took a step back, tensing her legs the same way she did when jumping for Kitty to catch her. It was a practiced movement, and one she was suddenly very glad to have learned. After a second of bracing herself, she raced forwards, her feet taking three or four quick steps before the ground disappeared from beneath her. Thankfully, Yellow remembered to catch herself, wings spreading out to the sides before beating downwards with everything she had. Thankfully it worked, and she felt herself head up into the air.
Blue whooped as Yellow flapped her wings again, the movement wasn’t quite as strong as the last, but it was still enough to keep her up. She looked around the clearing area and glided around a bit, air rushing through her hair and feathers. Now this was something she felt she was meant to do.
As she flew, she tried to copy the motions of birds she had seen, flapping her wings several times before gliding for a bit. It was very tiring, but even with that, she felt she could go on forever. It was simply amazing! She swooped and dived, yelling words of joy every time she felt especially happy. Feathertips brushing the leafy cover above, an especially daring dive, an even more daring save. It was all so much fun!
But all too soon, Yellow realised she was going to have to land soon. Her entire body was starting to shake from tiredness. Worry instantly filled her as she suddenly realised she did not know how to land. She scanned the clearing, wings beating the air into a slushy as she looked for a soft spot to crash. Er, land, she was going to land with no difficulty at all.
Once she had spotted one, she aimed herself at it and attempted to fall slowly. She tried to beat her wings to keep herself afloat, but she was suddenly very aware that flapping your wings didn’t make you go down. The ground was rising up to her and she needed to do everything in her power not to break her legs.
She flailed in a way that was just slightly uncontrolled before she landed rather hard on the ground, a yelp accompanying the stabbing pain in her ankles. She stumbled and fell to her knees. She hissed at the pain, the green world spinning around her as she held her ankles. The landing process was much harder than she had given Kitty credit for, she was going to have to give the Pokemon some extra treats when she got inside.
It took a moment of ringing in her ears before she heard Blue’s voice, he was shouting to her. He sounded worried. Yellow looked up in a slow achy way, the pain in her ankles was fading slightly, but as it did the exhilaration of the moment did too and a tired ache began.
“Are you okay?!” Blue shouted, his voice was somewhere between panicked and amused. It was a normal reaction Yellow supposed, she could imagine that her crash landing would have looked funny from his perspective.
She nodded slightly before shouting back to him that she was really actually fine, but when he landed he might want to do literally anything other than what she had done. This caused Blue to actually laugh, though the sound was slightly broken, he must have been really shaken up by her little stunt.
Yellow struggled to her feet and yelled up to Blue again, “You gonna try it or should I go inside?!”
--- -  -    -             -              -
The two glided through the air, wings beating the clear substance and sending them both twirling into the sky. The dance was elaborate, wingtips just barely brushing as they dove and spun through the clouds. It was amazing what a few weeks of practice could do.
Yellow’s hair whipped around her face and she made a particularly fast spin, only briefly checking if she was high enough before folding her wings into her body and diving. The air wooshed past her at an unbelievable speed as she aimed towards the ground. “On your left!” she heard Blue shout, the words seemed to be ripped away from her ears almost immediately, but she had been expecting them.
She veered to the right and caught herself, wings spreading out and cutting though the clouds like butter. A loud woosh of air passed her as Blue dove. She circled around, watching as the man’s wings spread out, the blue feather tips standing out against even the sky. (They were Mega Pidgeot wings, both Blue and Scizor had agreed on that.)
She laughed as Blue started to circle below her, his cloak was nestled awkwardly between his wings, she hadn’t noticed it until now.
“What?” He shouted up to her, green eyes making contact with her own yellow ones.
“I didn’t realize you were still wearing that cloak!” She yelled down, laughing. It shook her stance slightly and she beat her wings once to recover.
Blue flapped his wings to get up to her, settling in on the outside of her circle. “What else was I meant to do with it?” He laughed, the sound purly full of playful joy, “I didn’t want anyone to take it,”
Yellow shook her head teasingly, “Charizard and Kitty are right down there to guard it,”
Blue pointed below them, “No they aren’t,” he stated, wings beating gently enough to hold him kind of sort of next to her. She flapped her own and looked down to see Charizard and Kitty flying towards them. She could also see Chu-Chu sitting on Charizard’s back, the little pokemon holding Yellow’s hat tightly in her paws.
She sighed and brought one hand to her head, pinching the skin she found there in a mock attempt to look annoyed. “Now who is guarding my cloak?” She laughed
Charizard’s roaring answer told her that Scizor was down there stil, perfectly happy to keep his feet right on the ground. Yellow nodded, thanking the dragon for his attention to detail. “That’s smart,” she whispered, Blue’s laughing drowning out the sentence from reaching the pokemon it had been meant to. Didn’t matter though.
“Kitty!” Yellow shouted, beating her wings and cupping her hands to her mouth, “Do you want to join us?” The little bug Pokemon was lagging slightly behind Charizard now, and a violent shaking of their head told Yellow that it didn’t want to get hit by any wings.
“That’s fine! She yelled, smiling encouragingly, “Just have fun and don’t get lost okay?”
As soon as she spotted the Pokemon nodding, the dance began again. It was crazy how much could change so fast, she thought as she twirled towards the sun. Wings, the ability to fly, the ability to be good at it, and… she looked at Blue. Love.
The two dove and spun in unison. (Charizard following close behind them and snickering slightly, Yellow ignored him.) In their weeks of practicing, Blue and Yellow had shared lots of time together, and as many non-aromatic people did, gradually fell in love. It was rather fast in the terms of just their learning to fly, but throughout their whole lives, they both had to admit it had been coming.
Yellow fell through the air, throwing her head back before flipping onto her back and catching herself. She watched as Blue did something similar, but he somehow ended up making a full flip in the air. Yellow laughed at this before turning back onto her stomach and chasing after him. This could go on forever.
--- -  -    -             -              -
They landed gracefully, the loud thump on Charizard hitting the ground shaking the area reaching their ears a second later. (It wasn't in a “crash” sort of way, more like a large animal jumping off a log into a mushy pond sort of way. But either way, Chu-Chu didn’t really seem to appreciate it that much, loud high pitched squeaking filling the air.) Yellow looked up to see Kitty fluttering down to her, the bug Pokemon looking very happy with themselves, Yellow agreed with that sentiment, flying sure was fun.
She turned to Blue and saw him talking happily to Charizard, the orange fire type responding with grunts and roars that Blue could understand with context clues. Yellow however could actually understand the dragon. It was cool that Blue could guess what he was saying though.
A small patterning of feet headed towards Yellow and she turned to it, not at all surprised to see Chu-Chu happily running up to her. Her fur was very puffy, likely trying to warm up slightly, Yellow could feel her own feathers doing the same, it was a bit of a mood actually.
“Hi Chu-Chu!” Did you have fun?” Yellow asked, kneeling on the rocky ground and scooping up the Pikachu. The yellow Pokemon instantly responded, her chirps and squeaks telling Yellow exactly what had happened, complaining about how cold the sky was but praising it all the same.
Yellow laughed and patted Chu-Chu on the head, a happy purring sound rewarding her.
Chu-Chu held out Yellow’s hat, the new feathers in it brushing gently against Yellow’s face before she grabbed it. One a soft yellow and the other blue tipped. It was great what you could do with your own fallen out feathers.
“Thank’s Chu-Chu,” she smiled, reaching up to put the hat on her head. It fit over her messed up hair perfectly, hiding the absolute rats rest she was going to have to deal with later. She tried not to worry about it, but it turned out she didn’t need to try not to.
Two beeps rang through the clearing and the two Dexholders looked down at their communicators. Yellow took a step tward’s Blue before checking hers, she wanted to see if Blue had gotten the same one.
It was from Red, and, after a moment of checking, she realised it was in the Kanto dexholder group chat. Maybe she hadn’t needed to stand next to Blue for this. However, before she could get to actually reading the message, she heard Blue’s barking laughter right in her ear.
She turned to look at him, and was met instead by his communicator shoved in her face. She took a moment to read the message and then another to process it. Her eyes widened and she put her head in her hands, “Oh no…” she groaned.
Blue just continued laughing, “Oh no is right!” He read the message allowed and again the panicked words of the red eyed dexholder reached her, how had this happened? How had all three of them grown wings? She thought to herself.
A second ding caused her to look down again, it was Green this time, agreeing with Red. Scratch Yellow’s original thought, how had all four of them grown wings?!
“Well,” Blue said, wiping a joyful tear from his eye and putting his communicator down, “This is going to be fun!”
Yellow shook her head, laughing as she turned to him. “Come on you stupid fire type,” she teased him.
He grinned, “How about you, you silly electric trainer?”
She faked a frown and stood taller. Blue leaned towards her slightly and- it happened. Yellow grabbed Blue’s hand and stayed that way for a moment, Chu-Chu’s squeaky laughter interrupting them rudely as they kissed. She pulled away and glared playfully at the Pokemon before turning to smile at the taller trainer, “I love you,” she whispered.
He simply smiled in response.
Notes:
If the romance felt forced, that's because it was, I ship these two, but I don't know how romantic attraction works at all. It's just not something I'm good at. Sorry I don't know how to write Pokémon battles, and I also don't know the Pokémon's move sets lol. Hope you enjoyed it anyway. :D

black and white 3: Gym Challenge
Unova is the only region to show more than 8 gyms in both the games and the anime so I think it’s be awesome to have the be the first to have more than 8 gyms for the player to challenge.
New Things
Pick up the trend of having no set Gym Order, but have the player able to pick from 3 home towns, one on each peninsula(?). Typically what ever gyms closest to it would be the player’s “First” gym but it isn’t entirely necessary to do so.
The hometown of the player is based on the Starter selected, as Prof. Bianca (Aspen) has shipped the pokemon to you with a note to meet her to get a newly minted pokedex.
Traveling across Unova is made easier as you can travel around across Unova via Gear Station early on OR the newly introduced Braviary/Mandibuzz Taxi
the Taxi Cab drivers and Depot Agents hate each others guts with a BURNING passion
There is also the Cirrus Ferry: boat that transports people from Virbank to Castelia and vice-versa
here’s where you would see Roxie’s dad as Captain as one of the boats, having found this a more reliable source of income than fishing
HERE YOU GET FISHING ROD
The Gyms
You only need 8 badges but Each Gym offers a TM/HM that the player may or may not want/need to explore Unova
The number of Gym Badges a player has determines the difficulty of the Gym Trainers and the Gym Leader’s Team (like how it’s implied to be in the manga/anime)
Rough idea on the Leveling:
0 badges (>15)
1 badge (>20)
2 badge (>23)
3 badge (>26)
4 badge (>30)
5 badge (>35)
6 badge (>40)
7 badge (>45)
8 badge (50-60)
Lenora:
TM: Roar
Nacrene Gym is now fully open now that she is off maternity leave (hence her gyms absence in BW 2)
Trainer is initially given a tour by a small child (who proudly presents the gym leader, their mom)
Player still has to face the Book puzzles
Hawes is battle before Lenora as the “final line”
Burgh:
TM: Struggle Bug
Striaton Trio: (more confident now that they trained themselves up since BW2)
TM: Hidden Power
if returned to post Gym Battle, Cilan can assess friendship and/or affection levels (reference to Cilan’s anime role as “pokemon connesiur”
Work Up can be found nearby the gym
Marshal:
TM: Rock Smash
decided he wanted to help more trainers one on one
So he stepped down opened up a new Gym/training facility (beating him grants access to IV/EV training stuff like in XY)
one of Gym Trainers named Stephon with a Sawk, referencing the Anime Character
Can Mega-Evolve his mien-shiao
Clay:
TM: Bulldoze
connect to Lian via Black Aguirite
Team Plasma tries to steal the few pieces he has but gets their asses handed to them with some help with the player
mentions it’s a incredibly rare mineral he’d recently found a small vein
he hasn’t seen since he was a kid
he knows it’s an evolutionary item but he hasn’t a clue as to what pokemon it’s for (lost knowledge he supposed)
His gym is the only a way to get Augirite (and by extension Kleavor) in game
Elesa:
TM: Volt Switch
Skyla:
TM: Acrobatics
Roxie:
TM: Venoshock
Has a toxtricity she caught when touring with a galarian singer(Piers)
Koffing’s evolved into Wheezing (possibly galarian!wheezing?”
Rematch postgame, she has a Hisiuan Sneasel from a friend who recently came back home
Brycen:
TM: Frost breath
he is contemplating retirement both as a gym leader and an actor,
Iris:
TM: Dragon Tail
Drayden fully retired- he can be seen around Opelucid city or at Gear Station checking in on the lone Subway Boss (Post game he can be battled at Gear Station)
Marlon:
TM: Scald
Establish friendship with Roxie through their shakers fishing background
Connect to Iscan by
showing a tank of white striped Basculin (he is part of a program attempting to bring them back as a breeding pair had been “discovered” recently)
Diamond clan pentagon decorating some old family heirlooms as well as the pearl clan circle
defeating Marlon in a rematch will grant you White Striped Basculin
only way in game to get Basculegion
NEW Steel Type Gym:
TM: Flash Cannon
NEW Rock Type Gym:
TM: Smack Down
NEW Fairy Type Gym: UNOFFICIAL
TM: Dazzling Gleam
Not a very popular gym between the gym leader’s personality and the general disinterest Unovan’s have towards the fairy typing (this is the lands of Dragons)
Gym leader with the LEAST amount of Unova Native pokemon (Whimsicott and a mega-Evolving Audino)
Only gym struggling to get recognition from the league
Gym badge is not recognized by the league BUT it’s the only place where you can get fairy type TM’s
Elite Four: (60-65)
Alder
Shauntal
Cheren- the position was offered up to him when Marshal stepped down (as Grimsley still has a few warrants he needs to clear up)
Caitlin
Champion: N (>65)
Darmanitan
Zoroark
I don’t know on the rest tbh
Probably combine from various teams
DOES NOT USE POKEBALLS- instead calls them forward like in Legends Arceus

Digimon Frontier - Episode 41
This episode was great! The animation was on point and there was a lot of interesting visuals for me to screenshot. I think it felt good to return to a digimon village for the first time in a long while (not counting the digimon on the moon). We also got some satisfying character moments. Moving right along to the finish line!
Notes:
Man, they're really focusing on the Trailmon this season. They shoulda just called it Digimon ChooChoo Frontier or something lol (New idea for an OC: a digimon tamer whose partner is a trailmon and they dress and act like a conductor. Maybe they can equip the Trailmon with wheels that work off the tracks lol).
I was impressed by Tomoki being so calm and confident as he clung on for dear life. I guess he's used to being in mortal peril by now.
Not gonna lie, it's a bit of a let down to do a Jack and the Beanstalk thing and not have any giants. Giants are cool! (I wonder which digimon could fill the role...)
Proud of the American localizers for removing Izumi's uncalled for comment to Junpei telling him to go on a diet. Kids don't need to be hearing that...(kinda surprised they knew they should cut that in the 2000s)
The Mamemon were so cute and tiny! I thought they were bigger in previous iterations? I guess they wanted to emphasize their bean-ness. (Question: why do we have a MetalMamemon when Mamemon is already metal?)
Why does every digimon village have the exact same structure? There's always an elder and then everyone else looks like the same lol. The writers were like "if it ain't broke..." To be fair, the elder Mamemon was really cute.
The Mamemon say their own name (like Pokemon) for no apparent reason (Japan be like "because it's cute!")
The scene where the Royal Knights tried to scan Katsuharu's data was actually kind of chilling. We don't know what would happen or what that would feel like to the victim...unsettling.
I'm glad the kids finally reacted to LordKnightmon's eccentricities, their faces were really funny lol. It's more fun when the villains get dunked on a bit instead of just being feared.
Was LordKnightmon...shipping the twins? (They did the shoujo sparkle thing again with Koji and Koichi lol)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I do like how LordKnightmon fights with ribbons sometimes, that's a fun weapon to see animated. Kinda reminds me of
Tumblr media
I liked how they wrapped up the stowaway kids' plot line. With the Mamemon village's beanstalk it showed that they had a positive impact on the digital world (even though they can't save it) and the scene where Katsuharu asked Tomoki to push him was good closure.

Some character notes and episode notes for HZ041, writing them down for future reference.
Dot and Murdock were seen together in the kitchen for the first time! Dot hasn't been in the kitchen much so far (I think twice? When she went to fetch the donuts Murdock made for her in HZ008, and when she went to drink juice in HZ030), so it's cool seeing her there with Murdock since he is the cook. Dot also called Murdock by his name for the first time in her flashback with Friede, though she didn't refer to him as uncle yet. I hope it happens eventually.
Dot's mother (Blanca) showed up to take her home. She is completely different from Dot, much more talkative and excited, which Liko notes that Dot seems to be like that when she is streaming (which suggests that Dot seems to take inspiration from her mother, consciously or not, when she puts on a show as Gurumin). Blanca didn't seem to know about Gurumin though and wanted to ask Dot about it, and Murdock tells her that she should bring her donuts since she might open up more easily that way. The Ikkanezumi that Liko saved offer to take the plate of donuts to Dot, and apparently they've been helping out here and there on the ship as thanks for that. It's nice seeing them being active and getting a glimpse of their personalities.
Liko and Roy offer to talk to Dot instead of Blanca. She agrees and gets emotional over the fact that Dot has friends who look out for her. Liko and Roy go to Dot's room and want to know her side of the story and tell her that they don't want her to leave and ask her if she's really okay with it. Dot doesn't answer at first so Liko and Roy pretend to leave and give up on talking, and Kuwassu encourages Dot to chase after them to talk. Dot eventually agrees to talk about herself, and they go somewhere else on the ship to talk (first time Dot does so, since usually they all talk in her room).
Dot begins her story and talks about how she felt like she had hit a wall in the past. She likes looking up interesting things and cultivating her skills but there were things she couldn't experience from her room. She found one of Friede's thesis online once and was impressed by his work. She eventually meets him in the flesh since Murdock told Friede about Dot being good at tech and he came to her place to ask her to fix stuff for him, make an app for the RVTs and join them. I wonder if Murdock was the one who suggested Dot join the ship but asked Friede to extend the offer (Dot might not have been as receptive to it if Murdock had been the one asking her to join?). Dot was a bit overwhelmed by all of this (and embarassed about meeting someone whose work she admired) and she wasn't sure about his offer. She downplayed her skills too (saying that her being good at tech isn't a big deal, she often did that throughout the show) but Friede assured her that it was something special.
As an aside, I like the implication that Friede keeps writing research papers and even publishes them independently. Just because he left his previous job doesn't mean he lost his passion for his field, or that he stopped studying and writing. It seems like he still writes a lot, and even makes distribution maps about Pokemon and is very diligent about all of it. It's a nice character detail.
Dot asked Nanjamo for advice during a stream (similarly to Liko, she freaked out a bit about her question being read). Nanjamo's advice encouraged her to take action and she eventually convinced her mom to let her join the ship on a trial basis. It seems like at that point during the flashback, Dot wasn't friends yet with Nanjamo? Maybe they exchanged contact info and became closer later once Dot joined the ship? I also like the fact that Dot seems influenced in different ways by both Nanjamo and Blanca (who are very different from her in terms of personality).
Blanca eventually came up to Dot and the others, and wanted to ask Dot how she felt about her trial period ending. She was pushy about it, so Dot wasn't necessarily receptive to her words. Liko told Blanca that Dot needed to find the right moment to talk about it, so Blanca challenged Dot to a battle so they could talk openly during it.
As they battle, Blanca told Dot that she knows that she mostly stays in her room despite being on the ship and traveling and asks her why she became a trainer since she was never interested in being one before. Dot tells her everything: that she started appreciating the outside world, that she managed to make friends, and that her life became more exciting thanks to her Pokemon. Even though she was backed into a corner during the battle, she didn't give up (and referred to her and Kuwassu as "we", talking about them both as a team) and thought up of a strategy (targeting Lugarugan's feet) and eventually won. Kuwassu learned a new move, too. Dot immediately knew which move it was. Small moment that shows her knowledge (usually, Friede identifies the moves to tell Liko and Roy about them, it happened when Hogator learned a new move in HZ037 for example).
Dot eventually asks her mother if she can stay on the ship as a full-fledged member. Blanca accepts (she had a feeling Dot would ask that), and seems genuinely happy that Dot is growing and that she is enjoying her time on the ship. She hugs Dot too! Murdock's Iwanko brings Dot a tissue so she can give it to her mom (very thoughtful thing to do). Dot tears up a bit as well since she is happy that her mom accepted her request (but quickly hides her tears and denies needing the tissue when her mom asks w). I feel like we're seeing more sides of Dot lately. Her VA did a wonderful job when Dot was talking about her past too (her voice sounded much softer than usual).
Noting that Murdock remained more reserved than usual in this episode, probably to balance out his sister's personality? (I liked that Blanca had a Lugarugan, contrasting with Murdock's Iwanko, interesting that the younger sibling has the evolved form of a Pokemon) In general, I feel like Murdock takes on more the role of an observer when it comes to Dot. There might be some truth to Blanca's words, that sometimes it can be embarassing to talk to your relatives, so that may be why Murdock observes and reaches out in the only way he knows how (with food, which is how he conveys his love for his niece) and watches over Dot while Liko and Roy befriend her. (There is more to be said about this particularly) Overall, I liked that even though Blanca can be overbearing, she does have Dot's best interests at heart and wants her daughter to grow. Proper communication is how they managed to find a common ground and understand one another.

Ok, let’s see here, how am I going to do this…oh, I got it!
Hey everyone, my name is Tánxiāng Rambelgard! My mom is half Liyuese and half Inazuman, and my dad is half Mondstater and half Snezhnayan! We live in a village in a sort of weird neutral zone between a few regions, partly because dad’s alcohol business may not have been the most, um, legal? Anyway, we’re nearer to Sumeru and I got to study at the Akademiya!
I study Pokemonology, similar to one of the other me’s in the rotomblr multiverse, so I am somewhat like what you guys would call a Professor. I still don’t really know what they are, but I just know they’re called Pokemon
Pokemon kinda just showed up out of nowhere and I figured that, if I could study them, I would either make a name for my family or create a new field of study, like how architecture and biology are fields of work and study. I managed to get it to be considered a crossway between about half of the six Darshans, but the way these creatures are basically caused a BIG fight between, um, almost all the sages. Biology/Amurta, Spantamad/Alchemy and Ley Lines, and Aetiology/Vahumana kinda didn’t know what to make of this new, well, thing. None of the sages did. Since I was “new blood”, passed an entry exam, and was just lucky enough to have kinda befriended one, I think it’s a Sylvee? I don’t know, I’m just going by the sounds they make. But all that kinda made the sages put me in charge of this with help from one student from each school/Darshan until this fully settles into one or two categories instead of being in this weird ambiguous mess.
Definitely feel out of place being the daughter of what’s basically a liquor-runner and a former teahouse tea-farmer in a group of people who had parents with some expectations of them getting higher education outside of trade work. Yes, my mom was a tea-farmer for a teahouse.
//OOC under the cut
So, her personality is that she’s extremely friendly, sometimes unnervingly so. She just grew up with watching her family go through a lot and so anyone she considers “safe”, basically meaning they’re not friends but she knows or perceives them as being accepting and possible sources of assistance in a time of need, or a friend or ally, she wants to at least help when she can, though it’s usually food related. She is very observant and her “singing ear”/left ear can pick up on one’s pulse just by being within normal conversation proximity, wanted there to be a backup explanation for why she knows what she does.
Her service cat is based on my very real service cat, just slightly more exaggerated for entertainment purposes.
Characters she has deemed “safe” or allies: Diluc, AlHaitham, Kaveh, Tighnari and all associated with him, and Candace. “Allies”: Amber, Jean, Zhongli, Cyno, and most of the anemo and geo vision holders in general, she just vibes with them. “Friends”: razor, lisa, kinda Kaeya, and Gaming. Everyone else she is friendly but uncertain about for one reason or another.
Suggestive is ok, no overtly nsfw, no underage ships just on principle, minirs dni suggestive content.
Ok, so this is set right after the vison hunt decree was made, and therefore AlHaitham is not the Grand Sage and is still the Scribe, Zhongli is still Morax, Fontaine is still in danger, BUT the Stormterror threat is gone.
I am working with a canon without The Traveler purely because the timeline is not the most well defined and I am just not dealing with that.
I won’t do a crossover rp unless initiated, otherwise it will be treated as a normal genshin rp.
No teams, but I will keep Sylph the sylveon, Kagehime the umbreon, and Joan the eevee as each consistent AU “team”. I used the Chinese word for Sandalwood because Sandalo is spanish for sandalwood and is part of the scientific name for the tree.
I will be referring to the different Pokemon by their cries in the anime because obviously people in Teyvat, just having the things show up, wouldn’t know what these are

The C!Prime Primer!
Since I’ve been getting a whole lot of new followers after my Pokemon posts, I’m sure a lot of you are confused about the two little guys I’m constantly posting about. This is the post for that!
What is c!Prime?
c!Prime is short for c!Primeboys. c!Primeboys, or c!Discduo, is the name for the platonic relationship between c!TommyInnit and c!Dream from the Dream SMP.
So, are these real people?
No. c!Tommy and c!Dream are fictional characters portrayed by the YouTubers they are named after. They’re very distinct from their actors.
Didn't you know that the real people involved are problematic?
Yes, you don’t need to tell me and I do not support that. I do not watch or interact with Dream or his content at all, and while I think Tommy is alright as a whole he’s done bad shift I don’t support. I simply don’t see why that should affect my writing of fictional characters they played in a no longer active server.
So, who are c!Tommy and c!Dream?
c!Tommy is a severely mentally ill child soldier who, while loyal and good at heart, hides that behind a mask of toxic masculinity and is just kind of a dickhead teenager a lot of the time. c!Dream is a mad scientist obsessed over the idea of immortality, who hides his emotions and attachments out of fear yet desperately wants friends and family. The two of them are in a deeply unhealthy and abusive friendship, where c!Dream is physically and emotionally abusive towards c!Tommy and conditioning him into seeing him as his only friend.
Is this canon? Was the Dream SMP always like this?
Basically, yeah! While a lot of the content I have about them comes down to personal interpretation, they canonically are part of a storyline about child abuse and trauma.
Why are you so obsessed with Minecraft child abuse?
Multiple reasons. For one, I'm both autistic and ADHD, and it’s both a special interest and a hyperfixation to me. Also, I just enjoy writing horror. But most importantly, the Dream SMP and c!Primeboys storyline helped me come to terms with my own abuse, and I want to help others do that with my own work.
What if I'm uncomfortable with these themes?
Feel free to block the “Primeboys (Derogatory)” tag!
Is this meant to romanticise/glorify/normalise abuse?
Absolutely not. I intend to do the opposite- to depict abuse frankly and to show how horrific it’s effects are. Ideally, I’d like to help others realise what they went through wasn’t okay, as that’s what canon helped me do. I intentionally depict aspects of abuse often not shown- most notably, non-sexual abuse by an unrelated authority figure, the mindset of an abuser, and the mixed feelings a victim might have to their abuser, but this is not to normalise anything. It’s to shed light onto overlooked areas of abuse in the hope it’ll help people realise that this is a part of it.
What's with all the AUs?
I like AUs. Also, I am plagued with visions about them that haunt my dreams.
Why are you so defensive over two Minecraft characters?
Years of harassment. I had a harassment campaign against me accusing me of shipping these two, romanticising abuse, being a predator myself, and in general sending me victim blaming bullshit and gross sexual shit in my inbox since I was a minor myself. I also have moral scrupulousity, and part of that revolves around fiction. Sorry if I’m a bit of a bitch about that, literally just tell me because sometimes I don’t realise it.

Gym Leaders Pt. 2
I figured I may as well try to come up with something for the types I was missing, as I had seven types I didn't come up with a leader for. So here we go :
Electric - Terry (name basis, battery)
An eccentric researcher in a desert area searching for new forms of energy. He has a Mad Max style look, kind of patched together metal and leather outfit, rugged overall look, goggles on his face. Yellow hair worn in wild looking dreads that end in jagged lightning bolt like shapes.
A bit wild in personality, can come off as sounding a little unbalanced in his excitement and passion for his research.
Rivals with Crystal, thinks she is too rigid and by the book with her research.
Gym Gimmick : Gym is located in a scrapyard setting, with open ended shipping containers forming tunnels you progress through. Making your way to various stations will let you operate an electromagnetic crane to move the containers, forming new paths.
Poison - Eris (name basis, aerosol)
A spirited skater and grafiti artist. She dresses in a hoodie splattered with mostly purple and blue paint, dark purple hair peeking out in bangs from within the hood. Wears a painter's mask over her mouth to protect from the fumes of her spray paint. Camo print shorts, likely also colors indicative of the Poison type, with roller blades that carry a Revavroom motif.
Confident and spirited, she likes to engage in playful trash talk during battle. She has a tendency to get super focused on one task though to where she will sometimes get distracted from her Gym Leader duties.
Gym Gimmick : Overall a fairly straightforward gym, it takes the form of a skate park. You have to defeat trainers to find cans of different colored spray paint you have to take back to Eris so she can finish a mural she's working on before letting you battle her.
Fire - Bernard (name basis, burnout)
A drag racer. He wears a full racing suit, red and white with flame patterns. He has a helmet, though his intro animation has him take it off to show his face, and he holds it under one arm during the battle. Has slicked back red hair and a sharp goatee.
Comes off as a bit cocky. Has a bad habit of letting the heat of competition get to him, and is pretty begrudging in admitting defeat and handing over a badge.
Gym Gimmick : ?
Ghost - Cecil (name basis, cease)
An actor that runs a "murder mystery" event in a haunted house setting (may have to be toned down from a murder mystery for rating? I dunno how strict they are about that sort of thing). Dresses as a classic detective for the role, Sherlock Holmes style cap and coat.
Tends to talk in riddles, as is the nature of the attraction he runs. Takes pleasure both in stumping his guests, as well as seeing them succeed.
Gym Gimmick : You participate in the mystery, trying to figure out the culprit from clues you find, as well as those given by the other "guests." There are a few rounds to the mystery, in which false accusations can cause extra trainer battles.
Fighting - Walter (name basis, welterweight)
A professional boxer, he's very much dressed the part, gloves and trunks colored / patterned in reference to the Fighting type. Black, spikey hair, wears a headband styled after a Focus Band. His start of battle pose has him using his teeth to tighten the laces on his gloves.
Takes training very seriously, both for boxing matches and Pokemon battles. Has a fiery spirit, eager to show his power.
May appear outside of the gym to teach the player about some sort of regional EV training method or such.
Gym Gimmick : ?
Ice - Crystal (name basis, ice crystals / cryogenics)
A scientist that performs research on low temperature phenomenons. She wears a crisp white lab coat with light blue trim, sort of "techy" looking glasses. She tends to carry a clipboard with her filled with research notes. Silvery blue hair worn in a long braid with crystaline ornaments in it.
Treats battle as an experiment, coldly clinical while battling, but gives a small smile of satisfaction as she records results.
Rivals with Terry, thinks he is a bit too irresponsible and unreliable with his research.
Gym Gimmick : Takes place in a cryogenics research lab, so rooms are very cold, meaning you may have to contend with Hail / Snow or such. Unsure beyond that.
Dark - Stella (name basis, stealth)
A tactical stealth type soldier, has some definite influence from characters like Solid Snake, Sam Fisher, etc. She wears a black and grey tactical outfit, utility vest and belt. Has a pair of night vision goggles worn across her forehead to show her stern, focused eyes. Lowers them into place for the duration of the battle. Has short cropped hair, dark brown color, fairly military looking style, think Jess from Advance Wars.
Very stern and terse personality. Doesn't do small talk. Not too talkative even after defeat. "There's nothing more for you here, soldier. Go about your business."
Possibly hinted that she once worked with Lt. Surge.
Gym Gimmick : Very much a stealth mission. Spotlights search over the grounds, and you have to try to avoid them while searching for card keys to get deeper into the gym. If a spotlight finds you, the lights for the room come on and you'll have to deal with a few trainers as a result.

Holy shit what a sitch to wake up to.
First of all, Black Butler anon, I'm so sorry for everything you've gone through and I hope you're doing better.
Second of all, good on you, mod, for having critical thinking skills and not running with a kneejerk reaction of "this person like x? they must be y!" You may not use the label proship (and that's your prerogative; anyone who tries to force it on you is an ass) but that's a proship stance and that's honestly how fandom used to be. It's such a shame antis have made fandom such an unsafe place to be now. The main ideas of proship are "ship and let ship," "your kink is not my kink and that's okay" (or kinktomato), "fiction affects reality but not 1:1," and "fiction is not reality." Somehow the last two got conflated so people (antis) think the mantra is "fiction does not affect reality" and I'm not sure if they genuinely believe that or they're building a strawman to make themselves look more right, though I wouldn't put it past them either way. Besides, anything can be problematic if you look deeply enough. The other anon mentioned How's Moving Castle with the age gap thing (which I never noticed until now, wow), but I'd also like to add Pokemon to the mix. Making our pets battle each other, some people don't like that. Making them do contests, is that not reminiscent of child beauty pageants? Lusamine is a perfect example of an abusive parent. Antis think depiction = endorsement. If you show it, you condone it. But that's not the case at all.
Not to go all English teacher but to use a classic example, Lolita. The kneejerk reaction to hearing the name, especially if you've never looked into the work, is to think it's a love story about this guy and his stepdaughter and promotes pedophilia and obviously that's bad (and something the movies get wrong constantly), but if you actually read the book, you'll know it's anything but romantic. It's a satire. The character (HH) is not only on trial for murder, but he's using his words (telling) to paint himself as the good guy (Lolita seduced him, Your Honor, the 12yo child seduced the fully grown adult man!), but the author, (Vladimir Nabokov), is showing us he's a piece of shit (aside from the obvious, he gives her money in exchange for *favors* and then steals it back so she can't save up to get away from him). If you only read what's on the page, then obviously you believe HH is a poor victim. If you use your brain and read between the lines, you'll know he's not only unreliable but a piece of shit. We learn from an early age author does not equal narrator, and people who can't separate the two (or worse, refuse to admit there's a difference) are not only worse off for not using their brain, but they use their severely misinformed reading of the book to "warn" others from forming their own opinions lest they get the "wrong" idea. Ironic.
Third of all, fuck fishing on PFQ, I wish it was better or just not boring and tedious. At least on PH it's cute.
-BB
I said what I said but I will be posting this because I couldn't explain it better myself (also for anyone who isn't unaware, "proship" DOES NOT STAND FOR "PROblematic ship" it means exactly how BB explained it above).
And also because FUCK FISHING ON PFQ.
I didnt know they had it on PH but then again I'm totally clueless when it comes to that game T_T

My Review of Bibliophile Princess
Tumblr media
How did I get into this anime? I think I was in the need for some romance during the fall 2022 season. No offense to that season of anime, but not everything has to involve testosterone, blood, and chainsaws.
Tumblr media
Elianna Bernstein comes from a family that loves books. The family would forego food for just one more book to read. Elianna is pretty much that. She has no interest in anything else. What do you think would happen if a prince asks for her to be his fiancé? First of all, huh?!
Tumblr media
As it turns out, Elianna comes from a family with some nobility. Crown Prince Christopher Selkirk Asherald wants Elianna to be his fiancé…in name only. Chris has no intention of getting married so early like what his parents want for him. He thinks if he gets a phony fiancé and every so often pushes the wedding date away, he’ll get them off his back. Prince Chris entices Elianna with giving her all the free time in the world to read the rarest books only meant for those of highest nobility. For the next four years, Elianna spent her time mostly reading but getting to know the people around her ‘fiancé's’ inner circle.
Tumblr media
Good things do have to come to an end. It seems as though the prince might have intentions with another woman. Is this the end of Elianna’s weird fairy tale? And why should she care? She only cares about reading and nothing else. Unless she’s grown to like, even love Prince Chris. But does this possible love go both ways?
BETWEEN THE SUB AND THE DUB: Sentai Filmworks nabbed this one. Whether they decide to do something more with this or not is up to them. It’s not like they had a lot going on back in October. Nowadays, Sentai’s got its own cash-cow to milk. So, chances are it’ll be a while before we see this anime get anything other than a proper home release. I gotta say in the first episode, I thought that was Mamiko Noto voicing Elianna. But then I saw that it was Reina Ueda and I’m like, never mind, that was an honest mistake. Still good work! Here’s what you might recognize these folks from.
*Elianna is played by Reina Ueda (known for Mallow on Pokemon SM, Kisa on Fruits Basket 2019, Kanao on Demon Slayer, CereCere on Sailor Moon Crystal: Eternal, Jasminka on Little Witch Academia, and Young Hideyoshi on Tokyo Ghoul)
*Chris is played by Ryouhei Himura (known for Hinata on Angel Beats, Takizawa on Eden of the East, Kohaku on Yashahime, Grey on Black Butler, Shouma on Penguindrum, Tsubasa on Rinne, and Hiyori on Free!)
SHIPPING: Boy, anime really loves to give us fake-ass relationships these days. Either coincidence or Japan hopping on this trope’s bandwagon, 2022 had a lot of animes with that concept.
Tumblr media
We get confirmation early in the series that both Prince Chris and Elianna have some (though awkward) feelings for one another. After living with the prince for 4 years, we see Elianna’s fear of this engagement ending. But was it because she will no longer have access to the rare books she’s yearned to read or is it that she really has feelings for the charming prince? As for the prince, Chris seems to have history with Elianna when they were younger. Elianna scolded the young prince for the mistreatment of a book. After that, they spent time with each other in the library.
Tumblr media
Chris remembers. Elianna does not!
After Chris cemented this relationship by declaring there were no more objectors to the marriage, he started showing more affection to Elianna. And I gotta say, it started playing off like one of those rom-com sim games. You get that cute shoujo male and the cute, blushing girlfriend. It constantly felt like that. And when it wasn’t feeling like that, it was feeling like a setup for an old Popeye cartoon. Elianna gets in more trouble than Olive Oyl, no lie!
Tumblr media
Now, there were other women in the picture that Elianna felt threatened by. It’s really nothing more than Elianna’s imagination getting the best of her. The prince really loves her and no other girl will do.
Tumblr media
ENDING: You would think that after all that has gone down in the past 10 episodes, Elianna would see that Christopher is genuine when he only wants to be with her. Okay, maybe not. Hell, I would have been hella sus if I were in Eli’s shoes. Elianna has had to endure a lot of hearsay behind her back. Add to that, Elianna’s overall worry if she’s worthy of being the wife of a crowned prince. Girl, you have won over nearly everyone in that palace by episode 3, including the queen. Accept this as a win.
Tumblr media
But a few daggers are out in plain-sight trying to set the soon-to-be-princess up. There are some women who hate Elianna so they do things out of pure vanity. You know them, catty bitches! But then you keep seeing this one chick named Sharon who keeps insisting to Chris to marry her sister Mirielle. We keep hearing about this woman but we don’t even see her. So naturally Elianna is concerned about everything. But then this thing about concubines comes up. It’s quite the norm for the royal family to have mistresses, concubines, etc. This family is no exception to that dirty little secret. Let’s just say that the concubine talk was the straw that broke the camel’s back. Elianna told Chris that to once again postpone the wedding and runs off. No matter what, Chris always comes to Elianna’s aid whenever she gets in an altercation. At the end of the episode 11, Elianna expressed her worry to Chris and asked him to make a promise to be loyal to her only. Chris makes it clear that Elianna is the only one for him.
Tumblr media
Okay, final episode time. Is this the episode where Elianna and Chris finally get married? Nah, we’re getting this Holy Night Banquet. We still get some certain instigator wanting to push Elianna away. And it’s that Sharon chick that I mentioned prior. She even dangled a rare book in front of Elianna to entice her of giving up her fiancé. Episode 1 Elianna wouldn’t hesitate pushing some prince out of the way for a rare book. Episode 12 Elianna on the other hand has gone through some things. So yeah, there is no tearing up this couple. No need for affairs, mistresses, or rebound concubines.
Tumblr media
They end with this annual banquet with some good notes for the prince and his soon-to-be-bride. No more objectors. No more sus women after the prince. The monarchy is happy for these soon-to-be newlyweds. The queen however wishes for Elianna to be more wary of suspicious folks and not be taken advantage of or get in too much trouble that would cause a ripple for the family. But she still gets a little choked up being called mother from Elianna. We don’t get a wedding. Just Elianna asking for some vacation time so she can read books. And we end with looking at trees lit up with pretty patterns. It was good timing when I saw it because the finale aired three days before Christmas.
Eh, this was an okay anime. Nothing to write home about. I honestly thought this was going to be one of those animes where the two characters were eventually going to fall in love for real instead of being fake fiancés near the end. As it turns out, Chris unveiled his feelings for Elianna in episode 2 or 3. The rest of the time was Elianna slowly falling in love with the prince with bumps in the road causing her depression and self-doubt. A LOT of self-doubt! There were a lot of characters featured in this anime and most of them do cause hiccups that make Elianna question her relationship with Chris. I honestly don’t remember most of these people. That’s how little of an impact they had.
Eh, it’s a toss up! There are many other romance animes out there I would watch before this one. But it is a short series if you want something small to watch. Hidive has the entire series available for streaming.

Merged Tracks! C-10
Emmet had managed to convince Ingo to, once everything was settled business wise, take a vacation to Sinnoh. See how different it is! See how similar it is! Show Emmet where he lurked most often! Maybe they'd get lucky and see Hisuian Pokemon! Ingo didn't have the heart to tell Emmet that Hisuian Pokemon had gone extinct years and years ago, not including Baby Worthy. Despite that, he was definitely interested.
It had taken a few weeks to get everything arranged and ready. The travel part was easy. The finding places to stay was easy. Figuring out how to smuggle Baby Worthy in without causing a ruckus was the difficult part. She'd grown quite a bit in the past few months, so hiding her in Ingo's coat was no longer an option. That would have been especially difficult on a long ship voyage.
People turned out to be more distracted by the Subway Masters coming off of a ship than the oddly colored Sneasel one was carrying. What a relief.
They started in Snowpoint City. The only place Ingo felt remotely comfortable was near the Snowpoint Temple, and they were unable to get close as simple tourists. That was fine. Ingo had never gone inside of it anyway. Instead, they took a break nearby, Ingo told Emmet and Baby Worthy about a time that a bandit tried to rob him in the Icelands. The local Gym Leader came out to see why tourists had gotten so close to the Temple, and Ingo only called her Clover by mistake once. Startled that someone knew the name of her great-grandmother, Gym Leader Candice immediately challenged them to a battle. Emmet had to be physically restrained by his brother to stop him from approaching her at breakneck speeds.
And then Ingo let go.
Emmet lost that battle.
After dragging his defeated brother to the Pokemon Center, they set off southbound to Route 217. Despite the deep, deep snow, Ingo was more comfortable here. It felt familiar, even if he hadn't spent much time near the Pearl Clan. He was only distracted from this train of thought twice- Once by Emmet clocking him with two hands full of snow, and once by Chandelure popping out and making an appearance. He sensed something. Both Ingo and Emmet looked around for what he was sensing, but saw nothing. Emmet instead saw a bundle of Eevees nearby, huddled up and waiting for the brothers to pass.
"Go on ahead, little Eevees. We see you. Safety first! Everybody smile!"
With permission granted, the Eevees ran across the path, yipping and yapping. They were followed by two Glaceons, who both nodded to the brothers before following the Eevees and vanishing into the snowbanks. Emmet took several pictures.
Ingo saw this, but was more focused on a vague shape in the distance. Definitely a ghost, given that Chandelure was also staring at them. He recognized that silhouette.
"Lady Irida," Ingo muttered, tipping his head politely.
"Huh? Is someone there, Ingo?" Emmet asked, looking around. He didn't see it. Instead, he started marching forward, only for Ingo to hold him back. Without prompting, Chandelure began to melt the snow around them. There was a graveyard here. That's what Chandelure had appeared for.
"We are changing our course, Emmet. We cannot track our boots through this place. It would be far too rude."
Emmet didn't question this decision. Ingo placed a single berry on the largest headstone. Emmet took several pictures. The Eevees and Glaceons watched as they left before settling around the headstone. A single Leafeon joined them. ---- Ingo stopped walking as soon as they reached Route 216, and Emmet stared at him. Emmet, no longer watching where he was going, smacked into a boulder.
"Mount Coronet," Ingo announced, pointing towards the mountain, "I worked the Highlands further south of here. Let us make our own path."
Ingo grabbed Emmet's collar and dragged him off the beaten path. He didn't like it there, and he didn't feel like battling any trainers they might come across.  Mt. Coronet had been largely inaccessable when Ingo had been there last, and he intended to take paths he knew. Things change, but mountains largely do not. He knew where caves to duck into were, he knew where you could safely slide down the side, he knew where the dead ends were. Beaten paths were for those intending easy and convenient travel. Ingo wasn't feeling that today.
Baby Worthy never strayed far, even without the leash. She'd never seen the mountains before, yet she climbed alongside Ingo like an expert. She'd inherited her mother's skills. Baby Worthy was clearly enjoying herself!
Emmet struggled. He had little to no experience with rock climbing like this. He knew how to traverse them in an emergency, but otherwise ended up getting left behind. He was okay with it, though! He was happy seeing Ingo and Baby Worthy having such a good time! If Ingo had been able to learn so quickly, then Emmet could too!
But not now. Archeops could deal with it for him! Archeops knew Fly. It was fine!
It was fine until Archeops dropped him off a ledge. Ingo had slid down the mountain-side expertly, and Archeops wanted to see Emmet do it! Emmet proceeded to Rolling Girl it until he got his footing back, and he still slammed into Ingo at the bottom. Archeops laughed at him from high above, until something big and round was thrown at him by Baby Worthy.
"Oh, a Voltorb," Ingo noted, not even fazed.
"Weird looking one!" Emmet added. Neither of them did anything as Archeops got shocked for his crimes of dropping his trainer for fun.
"A Hisuian Voltorb, it's half grass type," Ingo corrected, catching the Voltorb as it came back down. "One of the historians I wanted to work with has one. We're supposed to meet at Route 208. I presume you're it, then?"
The Voltorb chirped in his arms. They were just happy to be held! ---- The historians all fawned over Baby Worthy, and she loved it! She didn't know half of the human words they were saying, but she understood the important ones! Poison, sharp, cute! Perfect, beautiful, baby! She didn't mind being handled- She liked being handled! Hold her! Pet her! Hold her paws and pat her head! Measure her height and give her a berry! She got to do climbing with Papa! Baby Worthy was having a good time.
Emmet had wandered away. He was still in frame, just verrrrrrrry distant. He didn't want to stand there and just talk about Baby Worthy. It got too boring, too fast! Verrrrrrry boring! He wanted to explore! Emmet waved to Ingo, and then pointed to a nearby cave entrance. He was going to explore now! Ingo gave him a thumbs up, and Emmet immediately turned on his heel to go explore. Safety first! Archeops sat on his shoulder, with his wing over Emmet's head. Everyone smile! Proceed! Emmet whipped out a flashlight. It was still daytime, but it was better safe than sorry! ---- Emmet returned two hours later to not much having changed other than the time of day. Only half an hour had been spent checking out the shallow cave- The rest had been spent taking a nap until nightfall. The historians were still there. Baby Worthy was still there. Most importantly, Ingo was still there.
Ingo was smirking. Emmet couldnt help but stare at his elder brother in wonder- That was a verrrry rare expression! The historians were huddled over something that Emmet couldn't see.
"What is all this about? I would like to eavesdrop!"
Emmet was grabbed by the collar before he could interrupt.
"They're looking over my flute," Ingo explained, "They're dating it. I already told them everything I knew, but that will confirm it. And I know I'm telling the truth. I was there!"
He was proven correct soon after. The flute was chemically dated as being over a hundred years old, and Ingo only got MORE smug. He'd been proven right, and he fully intended to let everybody know it. Baby Worthy copied his expression, so now there were two Scraggy-smiling scrunklies just standing there, being unbelievably smug.
It was too quiet now. Emmet really wanted to just make a noise of some sort. But there were people here doing important history stuff.... Oh, better idea.
Without prompting, Emmet stated "Ingo, I had a dream about punching a funny horse." He didn't expect much of a reaction, so when Ingo whipped his head around to stare at him, Emmet didn't have an immediate reply. It took him a moment to get his words in working order, and he twirled a hand in the air to speed this up.
"Is that weird? I don't think Girafarigs get that tall, so it wasn't one of those..."
Ingo kept staring, so Emmet kept going.
"A big pony thing said I could battle it! I was excited! But I didn't have any Pokemon with me. I'm pretty sure I won anywa-- Hey? Where are we going?"
Ingo had grabbed Emmet's wrist and started trudging up to the cave Emmet had been napping in. Despite their efforts together, they found nothing new. Oh well!
Exhaustion finally catching up with him, Ingo sat down on a small patch of grass. What a long day it'd been. Next to him, Emmet flopped down onto his back and stretched an arm out. After a moment of observing this, Ingo laid down next to Emmet, making sure his shoulder was touching Emmet's. He then raised his own arm up next to Emmet's. Yes. This felt right.
Baby Worthy curled up under Archeops' wings, cuddling a white pokedoll he had given her. Where he'd gotten it, she wasn't sure and she didn't care. It was soft.
Ingo and Emmet glanced at each other, and in sync joined their raised hands together. Sure, they could reach for the stars whenever they wanted. But why? They didn't need to reach far when they were together, after all!

One More Time, Like You Mean It
Xiao, Genshin Impact
A/N: Hehe, you guys haven’t heard from me in a while but surprise I am alive! And absolutely being devoured by work. I’ve been able to play a bit of Genshin in between to tide me over until I can play more Pokemon Games. But, I gotta say it’s pretty refreshing to write older characters. I hope you guys will forgive me for my fluctuating interests, have this... little gift from me. Not Gladion but he’s pretty damn similar.
The moment Xiao set foot on the bridge he heard them. The voices grew louder, screaming for salvation, for him to purge the evil. It was always loudest during the Lantern Rite but he had hoped with how well he had been doing recently he could risk it for a moment. Clearly, the years have made him complacent. He motioned to try and grab hold of his spear but instead found a hand tugging at his own. He followed the hand with his eyes until he caught sight of a shoulder and then deep blue eyes were staring into his own.
Right, he thought.
[You] invited him.
The person in question squeezed his hand once and started gently pulling him towards the myriad of stalls that had been set up. Some kids called [you] over from the corner, engaged in a game involving little multi-colored towers. [You] waved to them and posed for the shop owner next to them in time for the audible click of his camera.
“Doing alright?” [You] asked. And the Xiao one year prior would have sneered at that, not wanting [your] pity. But [you] only asked out of care for him and he’s come to appreciate [you] for that, for the charm that caused the lantern maker and grilled ticker fish seller to offer [you] freebies. For the charm that convinced the Vigilant Yaksha himself to cease his vigil if only for one night.
Xiao kept quiet as he took in all the festivities, not overwhelmed but also not quite comfortable with his surroundings.
Thankfully, [you] seemed to notice and quickened [your] pace until [you] reached a dock tucked away in the dark corners of the harbor with a single boat attached to it. Beside it sat a crate of fishing gear.
“My fishing boat.” [You] confessed, gesturing for him to sit across [you]. Inside the boat were a couple of cushions, a blanket, and a basket of assorted snacks.
Xiao scoffed. “You drag me to the city only to get away from it?” He raised a brow at [you] but got in anyway, unmoved even as [you] began to use [your] control over the water to gently push [you] out to sea, past several larger ships whose crewmen waved at [you].
“There’s that charm again.” Xiao thought, the notion clearing his mind of dark thoughts just enough for him to admire the way the Mingxiao Lantern loomed in front of [you].
[You] stopped the boat, leaning forward. And before Xiao could protest, [you] grabbed his hand again. He stared down at the offending appendages aghast. He doesn’t think he’s ever allowed anyone this close to him in the hundreds of years he’d been alive. The last he’d remembered were Bosacius’ shaking hands, Skybracer’s bloodstained shoulders, and all the friends he’d held as the light left their eyes.
“Xiao.”
[Your] palms, small and warm in his own, squeezed once. It was as Xiao lifted his head to meet [your] gaze that he realized [you] had been trying to get his attention. “What?” He hissed quietly.
But [you] only laughed breathlessly, nodding towards the direction of the harbor.
The entire city was dark, not a single person making even a whisper of a thought. Xiao was almost horrified at the sight. Was it possible that in the mere seconds he’d been caught up in his past, he’d been unable to protect the people of Liyue? Were they perhaps decimated in the blink of an eye?
The Skybracer made of bamboo and plauserite came to life, the fire within burning and revealing swirling patterns of gold against dashing blue. Behind it, fabric in luminescent azure and stark white fluttered in the evening breeze mimicking Skybracer’s full tail. And as if the spectacle hadn't surprised Xiao enough, the lantern began to move. Enchanted, he thought, as one by one the lantern’s limbs and neck began to shift and twist, the great deer shooting across the sky in wide arcs and in its wake the glow of thousands of lanterns carved out a path in the sky.
Xiao watched it happen with a wonder he thought he wasn’t capable of feeling anymore, only faintly aware of himself through his hands still linked with [yours]. It was so incredible, he’d almost giddily pulled [you] into his arms at the warm feeling rushing through him. The moment he hesitated, [you] had no qualms pulling Xiao in [yourself].
And as the glow of lanterns reflected in [your] eyes, he couldn’t deny how much he wanted to kiss [you].
Xiao held dominion over the wind, but never before had it been knocked so boldly out of him. He could scarcely believe it was caused by the mere realisation of his own feelings. [You] sat there, fireworks exploding in the sky as [you] stared at each other. For once, Xiao’s mind was clear of just about everything except the sound of [your] breaths, the curve of [your] lips, and [your] voice as [you] said his name.
Wait, his name?
“Beg your pardon?”
[Your] nose scrunched up in amusement and wow, Xiao doesn’t think he’s ever seen anything as adorable. And Xiao has a soft spot for little ones, not that he’d ever admit it. “Right here, right now. Don’t you feel like you’re part of this?” [You] asked, cupping Xiao’s hands in both of [yours].
Xiao willed himself not to be distracted by the myriad of ways [you] liked to show [your] affection with [your] hands and tried to decipher [your] meaning to no avail. “What do you mean?”
“You said that not having a care in the world, being at peace, and feeling joy was not something you understood. But I feel your joy here,” [You] rested [your] fingertips gently at his collar where [you] could feel the flutter of his heartbeat, fast as a butterfly’s wings.
He was about to protest [your] warm hands leaving his when [you] continued. “I feel your peace here.” [You] said, hands grazing up his throat to cup his cheeks.
“And your care-” [You] smiled faintly, brushing [your] thumb over the tip of his nose. “Right here.”
Xiao clicked his tongue, lips drawing down into a slight frown at the teasing. His mood however was betrayed by the way his pulse grew ever quicker under [your] touch.
“As I have said, most mortal entertainment is fleeting, a short-lived spectacle.” He said in a tone notably softer than the growling timbre [you] were used to. He had declined, repeatedly, when [you] first asked him to join [you] for the festivities in a voice that struck fear into the hearts of heavenly and hellish creatures.
But Xiao the Vigilant Yaksha, [you] had discovered, who always donned his mask in a way even when he wasn’t exorcising demons was not the Xiao that sat in front of [you]. He was not in the Xiao that gently took [your] hands back in his, nor the Xiao that pulled the blankets up and wrapped them around [you]. He was not the Xiao that [you] dared to hope in the dead of night, when demons stole him away from [you], could possibly return [your] feelings.
[You] breathed in shakily, Xiao’s grip on [you] tightening at the sound. “Is this not?”
Xiao was somber, not unlike he was in the moments when his memories overcame him and he needed a minute to fight the darkness that clung to him like a second skin.
And in that serious tone of his, he spoke. “If you think that this relationship is something fleeting to me, then you are greatly mistaken.”
“You mean-” [You] choked at the words and the meaning behind them, startled.
“Will you-”
[You] didn’t let him finish, leaning all the way into his arms as [your] lips met, Xiao holding [you] so the boat wouldn’t tip over. [You] parted almost immediately, chaste and in awe of each other.
“Give me permission to court you?” He continued, a little breathless as [your] cheeks heated in embarrassment.
“O-Oh! I’m so sorry I misunderstood and I was too caught up in the ambiance and the way the moon and the lanterns lit up made you look so amazingly ethereal and unreal, I can’t believe you’re real and that you like me even though I-I make mistakes like think you want to kiss me-”
Xiao stared at [you] and his lips, the ones [you’d] kissed, curved into a smile brighter than any dawn [you’d] seen traversing Teyvat. The sheer joy and hope and affection in it infectiously warm. “You’re forgiven...” He murmured. As Xiao closed his eyes and rested his forehead against [yours], he whispered into the lantern filled night.
“Only if you’ll let me do it again.”
