genuinely so angry about this. you gave us a red-maned man with a big ol nose in the botw tapestry only for it to just have been another little white boy? no ganon? no hero ganon? like i was really hoping he'd have been the chosen hero but demise's curse and all of his previous reincarnation history has doomed him into being seen as evil by the kingdom he saved, and his portrayal as a villain in TOTK would have been his rage after what the people he loved did to him. that would have made a very good story about fate and the harm hatred can do but no that isn't what we're getting. did i expect nintendo to go the classic "ganon is evil!" route? yes. am i happy that they did after 30+ years of "ganon is evil!" formula? no of fucking course. i want more insight on him as a person and his culture. i want more lore on how he feels as a gerudo male and how he feels being born into a curse or being born as someone history has always scorned. but we'll never get it and that kills me
#ganon rambles#rant#totk#totk spoilers#im soooooo upset#i just. i love ganon so much and every game he's watered down to big bad evil man just to focus on hylian culture#and hylia and whatnot#i wanted this game to get into GANON'S side of the story#but keep link as the main focus to give the game some sense of misunderstanding on the player's part#as the player slowly unlocks the truth throughout gameplay#but based on the leaks? that's not what's gonna happen#i was just hoping the reason ganon as a demon has become so powerful#is because his heart was broken by the kingdom#and thats why he's stronger than ever#the fate he's tied to took him over using his broken heart#and he couldnt fight it and he was sealed#he's in regular clothes and jewelry! there is zero sign in his corpse that he was ACTUALLY TRYING to cause harm#in the moment he died! he is dressed as though he was welcome into the castle#not dressed for battle#i really love ganon and i see him as human too not just a demon with no motive but destruction#and yes ofc i love him for that. id be a fake ganon fan if i didnt think it was hot that he loved killing and violence#but while id love to keep my twisted and insane OOT and TP and WW ganons...#a good ganon that the game tells us about that gives us a view at his life and culture#that wouldve been so good#cuz all we get about this man is that hyrule treats his people like ass and he uses that as an excuse to kill civilians#i wanted to see how the kingdom treated the infamous male gerudo as a hero. i want to know WHY the gerudo grew pointed ears.#i want to know everything about him and his people but we never will because he's just the villain#and the gerudo are just a racist in game fanservice#ganondorf#totk neg

thinking about created gods. about gods created from peoples hopes and dreams. from belief. you exist because of them. because they created you. your power, they gave. your divinity, they gave. your task, to protect, to care, to nurture, to punish, they gave. and how wretched of an existence that must be. to exist only to serve. a beacon of light higher than anything and everything, and they curse you, and they beg for you, and they revel in your light demanding demanding demanding. and yet not to answer is to die. is to cease. is to disappear like forgotten hymns. and perhaps the desperate wish held in gritted teeth and knuckled fists to live, to live to live to live and hold existence and life and peace in your hands is the most universal trait of every living thing. because you serve. there is no other choice for you. can't you see? can't you see? you made me. you made me.
you made me in your image.

See I don’t think that the legend of Zelda is the same story being told a bit differently every time because most of the games reference the existence of other games, meaning trains and teleporters don’t exist at the same time but they do exist in the same universe.
Anyways, if we’re looking for a mythological explanation and looking at these games as legends and myths being told by a culture I think it’s more likely that some syncretism and mushing happened between different cultures.
Oh a princess being saved by a knight. That sounds a lot like Lonk and Zeldo that must be them but the people on that island calls them something different and Tingle is there also because they also have a gross man. Those people on the tropical islands have a myth about a young girl pirate captain? Sounds like Zelda and where there’s a Zelda there’s a Lonk so where was he? Must’ve been with that talking boat character they have. Oh no we don’t have a Link but he sounds cool maybe he was working with talking boat.
And eventually through trade and whatnot everyone who follows the Hylia cult is also talking about Lonk and Zeldo and maybe some other characters are common in certain regions like Impa or Beedle or the sorcerer Vati or what have you. And then people are still confused by why everyone’s stories are different and the philosophers look at it and decide it must be the same people reincarnated somehow and the king claims to be related to Zelda, right? Well the coming of Lonk and Zeldo must be coming again soon because the political scene is going to hell right now I wonder if we can find a pattern here if all of these stories are true I think the sky people legend came first no clearly it’s the goat dragon king one that came first no that was the third Hyrule I swear on the goddess statue I will fight you about this in the market if you try to claim that Link was killable don’t tell me you’re from one of those split timeline denominations

Ganondorf Should Have Never Become the Demon King
Or: The many instances where Ganondorf should have been stopped right in his tracks.
-At the very beginning, when Ganondorf's body was first discovered, it was apparent that the Master Sword could damage Ganondorf. However, since SOMEONE had to inform our dear Demon King that a man with a magic sword named Link was going to stop him, well, he got the jump on Link before Link could even register what the fuck was happening. If Ganondorf was unaware, he would have been focused on Zelda (since he knew Zelda for sure) and Link would have at least had the chance to do something.
-On the sky islands, when Link wakes up, Rauru could have explained to Link what had happened. Rhoam literally did this for Link. Alas, for ✨plot reasons✨ Rauru doesn't even inform us he was the King of Hyrule and we just get to know him as the "Source of the Right Arm" which is hilarious in retrospect and maybe a bit of penance for that whole doxxing incident. I mean, at least he could have been warned not to trust any Zelda appearances?
-When Hyrule was literally attacked by Moldugas. Even if we really, REALLY, want to assume that Rauru did not see Ganondorf but Ganondorf somehow with his super duper eagle vision could oogle the Secret Stone, where else would a Molduga attack possibly come from? Who else could possibly order a hoard of Molduga to attack? There is only ONE nation that has made it a point to ignore all your invitations Rauru. -When Zelda hears the name Ganondorf and can probably sense his magic because ya know, she only spent 100 years shacking up with him she would probably know who he was just from the way he breathes at this point.
-When Rauru clearly states that he knows the man is evil, and decides that he will keep a close eye on him, but then even fails to do that because somehow, his wife and Zelda ended up confronting Ganondorf alone.
-When even the servants of the castle state that there is some weird Zelda lurking in the castle which suggests that Ganondorf's puppet wasn't even a convincing one
-When Zelda and Sonia lure him? Or did he lure them? ANYWAYS THEY BOTH WERE AWARE OF EACH OTHER, and I mean I guess puppet Zelda was shitty enough of a puppet that they were aware of its presence. I mean if the servants noticed it... -OKAY MAYBE THIS IS A STRETCH but, when Zelda was faced with a hacked Guardian that was about to kill Link it unlocked her Hylia powers which is what she subsequently used to keep Calamity Ganon at bay for 100 years? And this was literally the birth, the infancy of the Demon King's power? He just killed your adoptive mom Zelda, you could have JUST HNNNNNNNNN
-When Zelda literally tells Rauru that confronting Ganondorf at this stage may be a bad idea because she knows the present. She knows Link was injured when he confronted Ganondorf. Maybe she could have figured out how to unlock her powers that held the Calamity back? So that he doesn't become a problem in the present? Hello Rauru she’s sort of hinting that Link could not handle Ganondorf’s power but nope! “We rely on your knight and that legendary sword he carries.” Zelda: “Well about that-“
Anyways look, I get it, suspension of belief and whatnot but honestly, this game? Coming off of BotW as its sequel? Ganondorf got stupidly lucky. He got openings as wide as the Grand Canyon and information he should have never had to begin with like please, how did he know that he should invest in a puppet Zelda? Also Rauru is so terrible at listening to any advice because Zelda only pointed out several times that Ganondorf was a problem until she decided to confront him herself with Sonia.

What lore does botw abandon? I always felt it was missing something, but I could never figure out what since I didn't ever get super into Zelda lore
starting with Skyward Sword, the Zelda franchise started to abandon the golden goddesses (Din, Farore, and Nayru) and then replaced them with Hylia. There used to be so much more emphasis on the triforce in general, on its creation and its powers and what it meant symbolically to have it, that straight up just. Isn’t in the newer games. Totk seems like MAYBE it’ll return to a focus on the triforce? But it also kinda feels like they’re adding a new mechanic with the tears with new associated deities and whatnot. It’s like how pokemon keeps trying to one-up its legendaries every generation but already had “literal god” over a decade ago.
It’s not JUST the lore, but the game mechanics too. You can’t take out some of the CORE Zelda game mechanics (fucking proper DUNGEONS) and call it a “Zelda game”. It’s like, only kinda Zelda flavored anymore. Like a generic game that spent some time in a room next to a Zelda game and got the barest hint of Zelda flavor in it. The lacroix of Zelda.

shapeshifter Human guide has been on my MINDD, so many different scenarios , hylia lending guide a Lil power, hylia randomly lending guides body for a fight and just dissappearing (like my will to eat veggies, ew) guide being a humanized- Guardian, blasts and whatnot, guide having a Lil knack for sheikah in general, kinda like spiderman…
But make it sheikah, falling off a cliff and guide somehow survives or grows weird sheikah wings,
Guide disappearing after a nasty encounter with dink just to come walking back to Camp soaked head to toe in blood , ripped clothes and messy hair but nearly completely unscathed and a mug that could make a hellhound Piss itself,
Guide finding cool sheikah stuff and its armor and it sticks itself onto them, being chased while the Chain is watching (and yes they are trying to help) as dink slowly inches closer to guide but they just.. cant Seem to make it in time, guide having a dramatic moment where they like, Fall off somewhere High up, being saved at the last moment, falling off a sheikah tower, being swallowed by some funky plant, or like accidentally activating some ancient ass ruin which ends up with a random burst of magic around guide before theyre dragged underground by a flower which ends up with Them meeting a fairy as the Chain scrambles to find them (theyre fine) or getting permission to try on wild’s clothes/masks and fucking around with the masks in particular until it all goes wrong, APA is constantly on my mind and i cant have refuge without thinking “what would that be like in APA?”
“Oooh that would be a cool scenario in APA”
“What if that happened in APA?”
“how would the Chain react?”

@july-angel-wings
full disclosure, i haven't touched skyward sword or first's story ever in my life aside from secondhand fanfic knowledge and tauberpa's abridged vids more than 8yrs ago,, 😁
(this turned into informal general romantic hcs with first im sorry 🗿)
anyways, i imagine first would be more than apprehensive when it comes to you rescuing him. out of survival instincts, he doesn't know how you managed to find him? how'd you break in? why were you here in the first place? were you someone else who had been imprisoned, or did you want him for your own purposes?
he's thankful, don't get him wrong, but a man questions all intentions once you've put poison in his food, even the hand that heals.
following his rescue (and the establishment that you were friend and not foe), first would likely be more open to you assisting him in his goddess-given duty. most certainly to the point that there are no secrets between you.
time would feel as though it went in the blink of an eye when it came to defeating demise— and, in a sense, it did. it could have been months, or weeks, or hours, or seconds, and he wouldn't know any better.
first wouldn't be ashamed to admit that he's romantically interested in you. he'd be normal about courting you after he grows out of the "crush formed via trauma-bond" phase and evolves into the "okay, yeah, i actually like-like you" phase.
but me, personally? i think he's really fucking stupid and doesn't know how to properly court someone. i think he's seen people court each other to many times to count in his home village, but he doesn't have fond memories of the village so it kind of murks and muddles everything to the point he's confident enough to say "yeah, that wouldn't work at all."
assuming this is first after his character development, i feel he wouldn't be ashamed to act like his old self if that makes sense? like, less of a seasoned veteran and more of just some guy on the side of the road you drive past.
pushing my "most links are illiterate" agenda to say that link courts you by asking you to read to him, sometimes teach him if he's confident enough. he says it's because he likes watching you become so invested in the story if it's good enough (and hearing your voice if you're able to speak).
uhhh,, this is where my bullshitting abt skyward sword lore comes in,,
anyways, i imagine first is able to travel between skyloft and the ground using the ancient equivalent of a skywing made specifically for him by hylia because 1.) triforce of courage, hylia's chosen hero, and protector of skyloft be damned, he is afraid of heights and 2.) he already built a house for you and him he's not moving it.
yeah, that last part was def a surprise to you.
"why don't you want to go live on skyloft permanently again?"
"we already have a three bedroom, four and a half bathroom, full kitchen, full dining room house with an entire backyard and amazing view waiting for us? why would we want to live there?"
"we?"
"🧍🏼idk what you want me to say.. it's kind of like a gift? you didn't notice how i've been disappearing the last few months?"
"i thought you were out taking care of monsters?"
"i mean, yeah? i was taking bounties so i could work up enough funds to get the stuff to make an engagement ring?"
"who are you proposing to?"
"you? who else do i tolerate enough at this point of our lives? we can turn the house into a honeymoon spot, or a vacation house if you want?"
iirc after everyone and their mother moved up to skyloft, monsters started spawning more often and dangerously, so i dont think first would mind putting in more of an effort to protect you if they were to surround the house— but i also don't think that he'd be dumb enough to not make protective measures like a gate n whatnot.
(i'm being so fr when i say he probably dug out a moat.)
anyways, yh no first is def happy to surround himself with you and whatever animal companion y'all managed to find like you're in "i am legend" or whatever.
let me stop 🗿

Tears of the Kingdom DLC dreaming:
Here’s what I would want in the DLC. Possible spoilers
Sidon and Yona are throwing a big reception to celebrate their nuptials and they ask Link to help them obtain all the fixings they need for a good old fashioned clam bake. (There aren’t clams in Hyrule, but there should be.)
During his travels, Link gets the bright idea that maybe it’s time he pops the BIG question, and gets advice from his friends - Sidon, Yunobo, Tulin, and Riju. They will give terrible advice since they are barely into adulthood themselves, but that’s part of the fun!
He decides he’ll need to get flowers from Magda (which is an ordeal in of itself), then he has to take them to Koko in Kakariko to be woven into a wreath. While Koko is weaving their magic, Link travels all the way to Gerudo to have Isha design a one-of-a-kind engagement ring. She’ll send him on a wild goose chase to get the gems and ore she needs to make this fabulous ring.
Then he’ll realize he should probably get some new duds to wear and commission CeCe (big mistake!) even through we all know he should wear his brand spanking new Champion’s tunic, which he lovingly took care off while Zelda was away. There is no way it got torn or dirty or anything like that during his quest to save Zelda.😉
He’ll hire Granteson to add on to the dream home in Akkala, putting in the study and gallery that Link knows Zelda will love. Surely, they will re-zone his plot of land and allow the poor guy a couple more rooms! This will require Link jumping through some more hoops and going on a few more side quests to acquire logs, stone, and whatnot.
In the end, the whole surprise will be blown because, Sidon, Hylia bless him, can’t keep a secret.
And that is what the DLC should be. For all my fellow zelinkers out there, we can keep dreaming!

With this yandere harem aka Gannon hylia links zeldas Malone dink we should probably give one or two things for reader to have a idea of a fighting spirit here so what about a reader who is the God of mischief like they cause chaos around them their not actually evil they kinda just bored some times it helps the good guys some times not like Zant I think his name is spelled like that from twilight princess as link stabbed Gannon the final blow to make sure he was dead Zant somehow connected to him moved his neck to break it but in this au maybe reader told Zant to do that . As for a reason for hylia zelda and the other yandere to simp how about reader also has a calm side to them singing a lullaby to wind and tetra at their bad times and maybe reader being the one who made the ocarina that bends time to help a friend aka hylia who I guess gave it to the royal family up to zelda of ocarina of time they are a help to people they just vibe with and more funnier idea how about the headcannon of of the idea of reader being able to change forms cause now we're just making a loki reader at this point
Ooooh. I’m down for Deity of Mischief Reader.
That would definitely help in explaining why Hylia, Ganon, and Fierce Deity have gone yandere for them. It’s because they’ve known them for as long as they’ve been around.
And yes, Reader wouldn’t be evil, or at least they don’t try to be. But they’re a god of Mischief, they’ve gotta do some pranks and whatnot around the world.
They are the ones who help/give the idea to the koroks about making puzzles for Link to solve.
They’re the ones who create riddles and whatnot in temples.
Hell they created the rupoor as a goof. I mean you can’t blame them! Links gave just looks so funny whenever he picked one up and lost money.
They also are the ones to give the skull kids their childlike mischievous personalities. Reader visits them monthly, always agreeing to play their games and helping them with coming up with newer ones.
And I picture that unlike Hylia and the Three, Reader actually travels the land. They integrate with the people, shifting into a form of a mischievous child to start a snowball fight with the others. They shift into an elegant deer, the most beautiful that anyone has seen, and they taunt the many hunters of the forest. Appearing to them from a distance and then jumping behind a tree and transforming once again into something smaller.
As you stated, Reader helped each of the Links out on their journey and perhaps they even helped each of the Zelda’s out too.
I’d like to imagine that while Reader may have helped the Links/Zeldas out practically they also gave them moments where they could just be themselves.
Helped to remind them that they were children at one point, that there was still good within the world, and that they did not need to always be hardened warriors helping everyone else but not themselves.
Of course the Links/Zeldas would wise up to who was doing such kind deeds for them. After all of the world knows the tales of Hylia, then they should certainly know the mischievous tales of Reader.
Reader is also like the polar opposite of Fierce Deity and was known to bother him constantly with their pranks. Of course he was annoyed with them at first but over the years he grew to love it.
And he especially missed them when he was trapped within the mask, perhaps by a jealous Hylia?
And as you stated with Deity Reader comforting the Chain during their bad times, I definitely agree. In fact, I believe that Reader has an especially soft side for children (after all who is more mischievous than the spirits of children?).
I also head cannon that they’re the ones who got the Yiga Clan to be so obsessive with bananas. Most likely from a prank they pulled on them where Reader told them the bananas would give them strength beyond their years or something and then just left them. Never pulled the wool off their eyes.
Also like the fact that Loki’s colors are literally green and gold? Beautiful, Reader will match up with the Chain so well.
And you’d think Reader would have a fighting chance given that they’re a literal deity. But you have to remember FD is a god too, and he got trapped within the mask.
So, it is possible for Reader’s yanderes to steal them away.
And don’t doubt that they won’t.

9/10, love that he has so much room in the back for all of his hoarder shit. He pays someone to sign off on his inspections and routinely forgets about oil changes. Those tires are bald af, and you know those headlights are yellowed as fuck, though. Legend considers it a death trap.
Nissan Sunny
Tumblr media
Are you KIDDING ME???? I DIDN'T KNOW THAT WAS A THING. 2/10 because that's not going to give the princess/incarnation of Hylia enough bullet proof glass. You know Sky would want to put a turbo in that thing.
Mitsubishi Minica Danganon ZZ
Tumblr media
1/10 for color, but no Dragmire is fitting any of their anything in this tiny little motherfucker. RIP those shocks.
GAZ Volga
Tumblr media
7/10 because I REALLY like the styling on this one, and it looks like something one could ride around in creepily at night stalking people. But Volga would unfortunately trash this thing in less than four months. Our only benefit is that there's probably no airbags in a thing like this, because fuck Volga.
Daihatsu Mirahim

2/10, this thing is HYSTERICAL, but Ghira would (a) not be caught dead in something so clown car-esque, and (2) wouldn't be able to drive it in his 9" platform heels, either.
Pontiac Tetrans Am
Tumblr media
4000/10, this thing is OBNOXIOUS and LOUD and it LOOKS SICK and Tetra would rock the FUCK out of this thing and Lullaby will murder her if she ever finds out that her younger sister is joyriding in this badass coupe. A young Stormy desperately wanted one of these in her 20's.

11/10. This looks like the kind of car a well-meaning dad might buy secondhand for his daughter's first vehicle, especially when said daughter is in a band, and now I'm tearing up thinking about them.

8/10. Yeah, this looks like a therapist's car. I imagine Saria would want to drive something newer and ostensibly more reliable, but the compactness of the car is fitting.
Pontiac Fiero Deity

15/10, points for being a rear mid-engine and even more points for making me laugh about the whole catching-fire thing. From Wikipedia, "Safety issues escalated rapidly by the summer of 1987, when the fire count for 1984 models reached a rate of 20 fires per month. Fieros were catching fire at the rate of one for every 508 cars sold, surpassing all other mass-market automobile cars." Yeah, something that runs so hot it self-destructs? That's VERY Deity.
Mazda Midnata
Tumblr media
0/10, listen, my husband used to have one of these bitches and it was the WORST. TOURING CAR. It was SO FUCKING UNCOMFORTABLE. We could NEVER fit any of our shit in the trunk. Midna would not only not fit in this thing with her headdress and being 9' tall and whatnot, but I don't picture her being a light packer for a long weekend, either.

actually the whole hylia doesnt fit into the themes the zelda games go for makes a ton of sense (ive never considered it before)
i remember reading a book a few years back where "gods" suddenly got involved. i dont remember the plot but i do remember how off it felt, like the agency of the characters got flushed down the drain
Yeah I’m not saying Hylia doesn’t belong in the Zelda games, but her place is definitely to just serve as a symbol. Hylia as a character with agency wouldn’t fit into the themes of Zelda, and I think may interpretations/speculations about her role in TOTK and other games forget this.
Like you said, as son as gods get involved, it risks tampering with the role of the actual characters, as it creates a whole new sense of power scale within the world. There is a reason Link fights Demise in skyward Sword and not Hylia. The struggle between Link and Zelda and Demise/Ganondorf is meant to skew the sense of power away from our heroes, because it seems impossible for mere mortal humans to stand against gods and demons. That is what is supposed to make Link and Zelda’s journey so dramatic and engaging. If Hylia were a character that could change the tides of their battle, it ruins that dynamic. It just becomes a struggle between two gods and not humans actively fighting against the powers of the universe.
Hylia is the tool by which the Hylians in world have a chance to fight against Ganondorf with the reincarnation cycle. While lore wise, it is her vs Demise and whatnot, but That’s not the focus of these games. The focus must always be on Link and Zelda overcoming the obstacles of Ganondorf. Because they are the actual characters with story and relatability. If Nintendo wanted to make a story about good gods versus bad gods then why would Link and Zelda even need to exist across every game? The common denominator is a human struggle against the forces of the universe, whether it be about the horrors of growing up or grief and trauma—to have any of the protagonist’s struggles aided by the goddess goes against the point of everything. They have to heal and win despite everything being stacked against, not because Hylia finally becomes powerful enough to save the day or whatever.
And also this same point goes to you guys that legitimately think she’s evil. She’s not. Shut up. She has no personality for you to even base that on. She’s literally just an inanimate plot device.
Anyhow, TL;DR it’s fun to ponder about lore and whatever, I genuinely don’t care and I do love seeing fan writing and art that expanded upon it. But realistically I believe it makes zero sense to think Hylia would appear as a character in any Zelda game period. You can’t realistically predict any story lore with Hylia cause she isn’t a character.

In your avian AU, does everyone have wings or just the Links?
Hello my friend! I'm sorry it took so long to respond, finals have actually been killing me. 😅
In this AU Hylians are the main race (aside from the Rito) who have wings, although it isn't unheard of for Humans or the occasional Gerudo to have wings depending on their genetics and lineage and whatnot. The Gorons, Zora, and Rito all unfortunately don't have wings though for pretty obvious reasons. 🤣
But wings are one of two of the main physical features that distinguishes Hylians from regular humans. Much like how their pointed ears are said to be used to receive special messages from the gods, a Hylian's wings are believed to be a symbol of their close connection to the gods and should be used to climb the heavens to draw oneself closer to them. Not everyone believes in these theologies of course (*cough cough* LEGEND *cough cough*) but regardless, a Hylian's pointed ears and wings are typically interpreted as a symbol of their connection to the Goddess Hylia.
In other words, to answer your actual question, wings aren't limited to just the Links! Because of this, society as a whole all throughout Hyrule have adapted their infrastructure and social behaviors to support the needs of those with wings. For example, there are a surplus of designated landing areas, clothing stores, wing care/support items, furniture, buildings, etc. that have all been adapted specifically for those with wings. Basically wings are a pretty common sight throughout Hyrule! I hope this answered your question friend! 😊

Do you think demise was a god?
I think he’s kind of portrayed as one, they just slap the title demon on instead because he’s bad. Like he went toe to toe with Hylia and all that. He’s never specifically called one, so you could argue he isn’t one, but he seems to have similar powers to the big mythical figures so I usually just codify him as a god of destruction and whatnot. Honestly I just utilize it since it’s plausible and makes storytelling more fun. :)

SO!
I just had another strange Legend of Zelda dream.
So it was like, Zelda's nineteenth birthday and the Champions were still all alive and whatnot (but it was still the Calamity thing going on. Link still needed to save their pathetic asses from dying from the blights) and the Champions (not including Link or Zelda, obv) were wanting to through a surprise party for Zelda, but they didn't have a place to do it. So, they meet up with the duo as Zelda meets up with another knight (for??? some reason???????), leaving Link to get some rest back at his house. Zelda initially was going to stay, because hey. All the Champions are in one spot. Obviously something big and important and big is happening. They send her off, however, claiming this is only for Link's Hylian ass ears and not for Zelda's. Link feels really fucking concerned with this, but after insuring that Zelda is way far gone to even be able to hear what's happening, the Champions tell Link that they have a plan to throw Zelda a party for her birthday and would like some help to throw it for her cuz they need a place to throw it and they think that Link could most definitely find one and they most definitely don't want to use Link's house cuz of course that's Link's house and whatnot not everyone is gonna fit in it. Link then suggests using an old house (that isn't dilapidated and isn't seen anywhere for some goddamn reason?????) on the Great Plateau and that house is large enough to fit them all plus a bunch extra. With that in mind Link helps them to it and they get to work, also telling Impa, Purah and Robbie about it all and how it's secret and whatnot. Soon, the day before, it's finished and all good, and they get to getting ready for Link to help guide Zelda here, and once Link finds Zelda again for guiding around Hyrule, he first suggests heading to the Great Plateau cause he thinks that there's something interesting up there that he found there, and Zelda begins to agree and goes with him so that she can see it too, and so Link lead's her to the house in such a way that the Champions can see them arriving and they all get ready as Link give a special knock before coming in, Zelda being kinda shoved in first before being surprised with a happy birthday party and she smiles greatly as Link wiggles around her to the front of her (ya know. so she can see him.) and Link gives a gentle smile. Revali also smiles (for the first time in his goddamn Hylia cursed life) and everyone else gives Zelda a hug before they all sit down to eat some cake (that Zelda finds out Link made :) )
Also at some point Link stops wearing Hylian Trousers and is wearing fluffy pajama pants? And I can't piece together as to WHY because most of the dream he's wearing the trousers but it's like, everytime he pops into the house, he stops wearing the trousers and is only wearing the pajama pants, which are also flannel. He still wears his Champion Garb but like. My GOD. Why can't he stick to one pants.
Yes this is also Botw/Totk. Or at least in between because Zelda's in her fucking twenties in totk
