1. Who or what got you into F1?

i've been wanting to tell this story to someone cuz i think it's so dumb

so well, my dad and my cousins are HUGE f1 fans they always talk about it on the family gc. it was the mexico 2023 gp (we're mexican btw and just like every single men in mexico they love checo) and we all know what happened to checo in that race so they were fuming and honestly i was enjoying it and all the memes on twt

anyway i never really cared about the sport, to me it was just men going vroom vroom in circles for an hour but then the brazil gp came

we were in my grandparents house, i was in the living room and they were watching the race obviously, it was just about to start and then something magical happened that changed my whole life... charles leclerc crashes on the formation lap and i thought omg who's this dumbass 🙄 but then i heard his voice with that sadness you only hear in eastern european gay porn saying "why the fuck am i so unlucky?", i was like damn he's so me, my dad was asking me to traduce what he was saying, i had no context of everything that happened on the season but i could just think damn is this not the first time that it has happened to him? poor bro

then i saw him get lost in the motherfucking woods and i was crying laughing at this point wondering who the hell is this guy?

i made a mental note to search his name on twt later, anyway the race went on and i was actually getting invested in it, i remember my cousins had to leave but they were all i want to see checo pass hamilton bla bla bla and i had no idea who hamilton was but i wanted to see it too it was so exciting. when i got back home i went into a charles leclerc rabbit hole in twt and tumblr and tiktok, then i learned more about all the other drivers and as someone who was lacking content of my man finn wolfhard i was getting bored and seeing this guys being a chaotic mess and getting content of them every weekend i was like fuck it they're my new blorbos especially charles❤️

and now here i am :) the end.

2. Who was the very first F1 driver you supported? Do you support them now? Have your opinions on them differed or stayed the same since then?

i am a charles leclerc girlie and i will always be he's my sunshine i will fight anyone who dares to say something bad about him, i just love him so much he's so determinated and passionate i am so sure he will achieve his dream but he's also very kind, charming, funny. his history is also so amazing to me, his mental strenght is unbelievable and has motivated me to keep going no matter what, he's very dear to me, i admire him so much and i don't think it will ever change because he amazes me more and more everytime.

3. Who’s your current favourite F1 driver?

charlieeee obvi but i've also been very obsessed with max lately they are fighting for p1 in my favorite drivers championship every single day hahahah

4. Is there a driver pairing or pairings you support? What made you attracted to that pairing in the first place?

LESTAPPEN MY GOD when i tell you that i think about them every day i'm not joking at all

my roman empire as the tiktok kids would say

i just love them for the same reasons everyone else does they have been racing against each other for most of their lives and of course they've had their rough patches but they respect each other and love racing together, they push the limits and will do everything to win but they always keep that mutual respect and admiration

i got into them with the inchident video it's just hilarious max being all mad like no it's so unfair 🙄 and charlie being like just an inchident 😘 I CAN'T THEY'RE SO ICONIC LIVE LAUGH LOVE LESTAPPEN we love emotional support rivals

also shoutout carlando, maxiel, charlos, chestappen, landoscar they are so funny love seeing them do stupid shit but also have each others back

5. Do your parents, siblings or relatives have a favourite team and/or favourite driver(s)?

my dad will die for red bull especially for checo, i don't really know my cousins favorite drivers but they like ferrari and one of them has a charles leclerc cap and a valtteri bottas one so i think them

i'm kind of a closeted f1 fan lmao because most of my life i've been like it's so boring just them going in circles but now i'm obsessed but also if i say i like it now they would be like you just like it because the drivers are good looking

and i mean YEAH but fuck just let me enjoy it and it's also my first season i'm still learning give me a break bruh

6. Do you have any favourite races? Are there any that stand out to you the most?

like i said this is my first season and i started pretty late but they first race i ever watched from start to finish was ✨las vegas 2023✨ and as a charles fan i will never forget that last lap where i was mourning p2 already and all like well let's hope for the best on the next race😔 when all of a sudden i see this mf overtaking checo, it was 1am and when i tell you i JUMPED from the couch and started screaming and jumping around, genuinely i will never forget it

7. Do you have a favourite circuit? Can be from the past or from the current calendar.

i don't really know about each circuit that much but i like monaco

8. Have you ever been to an F1 race in real life? Feel free to tell us your experience going to one if you like.

naaahh they're expensive af maybeee one day i'll go to the gp in mexico city but in a very distant future

9. Have you ever met an F1 driver in real life?

i see checo's face in every corner in my city does that count?

10. Do you have a favourite F1 car? If so, what is it?

i like the mercedes' cars just for the mere reason that they look cool to me and since i don't know all the technical stuff i think i could give you a pepper answer once i learn more

STORY IDEA

Okay so i have this series idea for a Miles Quaritch x daughter!reader.

basically let’s say Miles had a kid before spider, y/n. Scientist wanted to see how a human baby would survive and grow as a navi. so once y/n was born a few months later her soul or whatever was put into a navi body, (her human body and navi body grew at the same time) When y/n was around 2-3 the war happened. no one kept any eye on her when this was going on so she was lost in the woods.

After the fight jake finds her crying under a tree, hungry and scared. (jake was never told about this whole experiment going on)

So jake takes y/n home and neytiri instantly agrees seeing how shy and adorable she is. After that life moves on Neyetam is born a few months later (Neyetam calls him and y/n twins since they were born the same year🙄), kiri, Lo’ak, and tuk. everyone knows y/n is adopted but they love her just as much as they love kiri.

When miles comes back (scene when they capture the kids) that’s when he sees y/n again. of course he was informed on the experiment and was told to keep an eye out for you if your still alive. imagine how shocked he is when he sees his na’vi daughter walking around with the SULLYS??

Luckily y/n gets away and goes to the ocean with the Sully’s. say she’s living there and the whole ocean fight breaks out. when jake and miles are getting ready to fight that’s when the truth is revealed. Y/n is hurt and confused. Jake is angered and sad that you were used as an experiment. Miles misses his daughter but wants revenge. Neytiri is already upset about Neyetam getting hurt (he doesn’t die i cant take that) and now she’s even more angered.

La Brea really is just the new Lost, season 3 out here spinning pretzels lmaö.

For starters when did Gavin have actual gaps in his memory, like first it was visions but now suddenly he's been missing a whole year of his life apparently?? And they just never brought it up till now??? Ok. Not even a "I just thought that was the alcoholism, but now I really think about it, I really am missing way more than I should be even with the drinking, that's concerning..." but go off I guess.

Also this was earlier but lol the second she came in screen I Called It they were gonna be gay, love that for them.

But also also isn't the advice usually keep your elbow down??? Babes... this is the oysters of the woods all over again

I'm high key loving Ty's plotline in the future/past tho lol. (The past of their future bc it's before they fell, but back in their time......gotta love time travel). Bro's like "I'm gonna grab this stubborn ass and this sad mess and we're gonna save their future selves and everyone else in the past...somehow. We got this... Gav- Gavin get back here, I said we got this, you will heal damnit."

Mkay but Veronica getting offered the position on the council while hyping up Luke, and then getting immediately defensive when she goes to tell him and he's startled, like, it was genuinely out of the blue from his pov, everyone called him leader and you never brought up interest in or suggested anyone else be in the council. Genuine confusion when you say "I'll talk you up" and then come back with "they offered it to me" to be like "huh...".

But she didn't even give him time to actually dig in to be a dick about it or not, just immediately got defensive, and apparently had already accepted the position? Which seemed kinda shitty, like you're not gonna even discuss it a little? Like "hey so she offered it to me instead, she said these reasons why, I think you could still fit maybe (or whatever), maybe the three of us sit down and talk it out, but at the very least at least there's a clearing person on the council like we wanted, however this ends" ya know, discuss.

But they just really needed them to have ~drama~ so of course. 🙄 They were getting too perfect and supportive of each other, clearly we need to remedy that for good story telling.

Which reminds me of Ty and Paara, Ty for yanked to 21 but where did Paara go?? Ruth is ruling "while she's gone" but like where she go? 😭 I like Ruth but I miss Paara. I also kinda miss Gavin being treated like the little boy that had been living there like a fkking week ago and remembered growing up there. Now he's just ~an outsider~ that kinda acts like it. Bring back the Gavin that's also Isaiah.

Humble enough to know to ask the associate for help

He does not know what scents you like, but he does know what you smell like

Whatever that scent may be he describes it to the employee and takes whatever the first thing they recommend is

You’re probably going to get gingham or champagne toast tbh

Lazar

He needs help but tells the associate he’s just browsing

He’ll get you something he likes under the assumption that you will also like it

This means he undoubtedly gets you a food scent

You’re getting strawberry pound cake and you can expect him to unabashedly sniff you when/if you wear it

Makarov

He blasts past the associate and ignores them bc he’s an asshole (I only say hi bc they pay me to bitch 🙄)

He’ll maybe take a second to think about what you might like

However, if such a smell is not in his current line of sight, that’s too damn bad

Grabs whatever he sees that’s named after an actual smell and isn’t some kind of artsy abstract name

He asks for help and is putting all his trust in the associate

This man wants whatever the best scent is with the least amount of hassle

Despite this, he is incredibly picky for some reason

You are getting either a pretty floral scent that he likes or a men’s scent so that everyone knows you’re taken

Thankfully Weaver is a genius and knows what’s up, so he goes for it

He does know want to be in this store even one second longer then he has to be

Blows off the associate and does whatever the fuck he’s going to do

Cannot bring himself to look at the “women’s” scents, and goes straight to the men’s section

He picks out bourbon bc he has the mind of a child and he thinks it’s a good one

If you’re lucky, maybe he sees sweet whiskey and decides to get you that one instead, but otherwise…

Rewatch Thoughts:

William check-in: The incubator conversation outside the hospital is SO clunky…. My baby, Scully? And it’s not like the idea that William was the result of experimentation is new - it’s threaded throughout seasons 8 and 9, Scully should not be shocked about this line of investigation. So much exposition needed to get revival viewers up to speed on William 🙄

Break-up check-in: It makes me sad that even in their dreams (or nightmares) Mulder and Scully imagine themselves to be raising William alone. They can’t share their grief over the loss of their son, or even imagine themselves as a family. But there doesn’t seem to be any tension or issues working together… Why bother with this breakup if they weren’t going to do anything with it?? They didn’t have to be split up for William to be a fissure within their relationship.

I believe this was originally the 5th episode in the production schedule, which I guess is why their return to the X-Files feels so low key here. Guess Skinner just made them Special Agents again!

Mulder: How do you know that? Scully: I’m old school, Mulder - pre-google. Lol poking fun at how much random knowledge they needed to have in the original run to keep the plot flowing. (Never mind Scully GOOGLING HOW TO DO BRAIN SURGERY in IWTB - no, I will never let it go)

Skinner playing both sides as usual, but he brought them back to dig things up, not to play by the rules. It still just doesn’t feel plausible to me that they would rejoin the FBI after everything that happened. Wouldn’t it have been more fun if they were trying to investigate from outside the system and going to Skinner for help and insider access? (See This from next season, I wanted more of that!)

Scully’s worked at Our Lady of Sorrows hospital for 7 years? 🤔 But IWTB was 8 years before this 🧐 Who knows how time works in txf universe.

The plot of this episode really bounces all over the place - especially with the detours to remind us about William. Lotsa leaps in logic needed to get to the janitor being the founder’s son.

I’ve always been into stories about super kids escaping from evil captors who want to exploit their powers - Escape to Witch Mountain was a favorite of mine.

Mulder imaging what it would be like to raise his son really gets me 🥺 - given the way he lost his whole family there’s so much to explore in his hopes and fears… I wish we got more but I do appreciate that we get this little bit.

Jack takes Victoria first to Kathy (who is clearly too busy) then to Diane (who was having a meal with a now not-so-happy Alan) so that Andy can get involved in looking for Robert with Richie. Meanwhile, Robert runs into the woods where there is a rusted sign saying DANGER KEEP OUT (no information in wiki where this is). Andy is kicking himself for telling Robert and worries he’ll do something stupid (‘I’ll never forgive meself’ - yeah, you would). But Richie is all, don’t blame yourself kid, he’s just upset (give me a break, he lost his mum because of him, Richie). Andy has a eureka moment where Robert will be, a place where he used to go as a kid. Jack goes on on his own and finds Robert on top of a wooded cliff…

Jack: Hang on a minute. Er, better if I go on my own.

Andy: You mean he won’t want to see me? (Well duh, little light on the brain cells there, Andy 🙄). Yeah, you’re right.
