cool hot sweet love (beomgyu's ending)

a/n: don't read this if you haven't read cool hot sweet love first :0

you woke up at noon with a pounding headache, barely gathering the strength to roll out of bed. it seemed like you didn’t know your alcohol limit that well after all. yeji, however, took notice of how wasted you looked once you got back home, and left some water and hangover medicine on your nightstand, which you gladly took.

you did your usual morning routine to make yourself look presentable again, then started cleaning up the big mess you created in your room while being in a rush yesterday. you gathered the clothes on the floor, spotting a white button-up shirt thrown on your desk chair. confused, you picked it up, memories from last night coming back in an instant, making your cheeks burn again. ‘shit. i should probably return this to beomgyu’. you folded the shirt, feeling something strange in its pocket. putting your hand inside, you discovered a small piece of paper with text on it:

‘meet me at sunset? -beomgyu :)’

you frowned, feeling both excited and nervous about facing him again. still, you wanted to know what this was about, and went to search him at the bar at the appointed time.

the beach was deserted, no tourists around and no workers either. your shoulders slumped; you stopped in your tracks, worrying whether that note was really meant for you, or for today. you took a step back, about to go back, when suddenly the instrumental of a song started softly playing through the speakers around you. so there was someone here after all. you leaned forward, eyes spotting a familiar mop of red hair behind the counter at the bar. unconsciously, your feet led you towards it. you were anxiously playing with your fingers, not knowing what to expect.

“you’re here.” beomgyu smiled once he saw you “i was afraid you wouldn’t notice my note” he tilted his head down, scratching his neck nervously. the fairy lights scattered around the beach started to light up.

“what’s all this about?” you asked, in awe beomgyu’s preparations.

“just come with me.” beomgyu answered shortly. his fingers wrapped around your wrist, guiding you towards a picnic blanket, carefully placed on the shore. there was a plate full of the vanilla cupcakes you adored, with 2 glasses of the famous cherry daiquiri on the side.

“i noticed you liked these, so i wanted to make you more” beomgyu said, pointing at the cupcakes “don’t worry, soobin taught me how to make them.” he added bashfully.

you sat down next to him, still a bit unsure about the context behind this. beomgyu handed you the sweet treats which you both ate in silence. it was a comfortable silence though, there was something about beomgyu that always made you feel at ease around him.

beomgyu played with your fingers, occasionally placing small bits of the fine white sand on your arm, then brushing it off. “could you close your eyes for a bit? there’s this song i really want to show you.”

you nodded, closing your eyes to take in the music as beomgyu pressed play.

you nervously bit your lips ‘was that soren-?’

And if there was a place that I had to choose

Or a memory that fades that I cannot lose

If there was a place that I could call home

Before I die, you oughta know

It’d be in your arms tonight

you felt beomgyu’s gaze on you, heart fluttering as you continued to pay attention to the lyrics.

The green in your eyes

Are like the leaves in the summer

And it changes with the weather

The pink in your cheeks

When you slightly lose your temper

Makes me love you even more

the chorus played once more, the instrumental at the end of the song slowly fading away into the night. you opened your eyes, making eye contact with the boy that has been relentlessly tugging at your heart all summer.

“no one’s got me feeling quite like you” beomgyu spoke softly, wanting his words to be heard by you, and only you “you don’t have to give me an answer right now, maybe it was the push of the alcohol, but i just wanted to get these words out before my heart got captured by my own worries again-“ you cut him off, grabbing his face and giving him a kiss on the lips “is this enough to relieve your worries?“ you slightly pulled away, whispering against his lips “more than enough” he answered back in a daze, eyes full of sweet desire looking into yours. you could feel his hot breath on your skin, his lips were open, softly grazing yours. he grabbed the back of your neck, bringing you closer for another kiss. he kissed you slow and tenderly, taking his time to feel you, to show you all of his emotions, his adoration towards you. you both smiled into the kiss, stopping just for a second to breathe before he gently caressed your lips again, too impatient to feel them once more. his tongue grazed your bottom lip, the taste heady and familiar.

cherry daiquiri.

you couldn’t help but let out a gasp when he gently bit it, nibbling on it. “gyu-“ you wrapped your hands in the strands of hair sitting at the base of his neck. beomgyu left a trail of kissed on your jaw “you’re so pretty, did you know that?” he whispered as he moved to make his way down your neck to leave more kisses. he buried his face in the crook of your neck, his hair tickled you as he was busy nipping on your skin,“wait-“ you took his face in your hands and lifted his head up to make him look at you “i want to kiss you too” beomgyu’s cheeks burned at the mere thought of your touch on his body. he put his hand over yours, speaking in a hushed tone “i want to be the one to take care of you tonight.”

26/02/2024: Nina and Matthias’s son asks Kaz if he’s a bad person

“Uncle Kaz, are you a bad person?”

They were walking down the bustling streets of Little Ravka.

Unsurprisingly his four year-old nephew, Soren, had acquired the same love for waffles as his mother. From his father, had merely acquired the sparkling blue eyes which he weaponized quite a lot whenever he needed to coax Kaz into doing his bidding.

And so, after ignoring Soren’s adorable pleas and big, blue, sparkling eyes for hours, Kaz had agreed to take him out for a snack. As such, they were heading towards this famous local diner in the area to try some ravkan-styled waffles.

Kaz had expected the child to show his excitement over it. Expected the little one to constantly persuade him into buying delectable sweets on their way. But questions about his morality were the last thing he had imagined. And from a child at that.

“Why do you ask?” He spoke in an even tone.

The child replied without a beat. “Cause a lot of people in Fee-eda say so.”

“I see.”

It’d been years since the Ice Court Heist. Despite never being able to prove it, there was a common tale spread around the Fjerdan folk about a sinister Demjin named Kaz Brekker who had come from the land of Kerch and broke down the formidable walls of the Ice Court using his dark powers. That he had peeled off his gloves inside the court and cast a sinister enchantment with the devious motions of his fingers to corrupt the sacred tree. That he was a mad man who had stolen the Shu child on a whim, and then decided to sell him off to the highest bidding nation for further entertainment.

“Wanna know what I think?” Soren asked, waving his hands in excitement.

Kaz smirked. “I honestly don’t care but you’ll tell me anyway, won’t you?”

The boy giggled. “I will! I will!”

“Well..?” Kaz waited patiently, both gloved hands now resting on his crow head cane.

“I think you’re a good person.”

The words stupefied Kaz more than they should have.

“And what makes you believe so?” He asked. He was expecting some sort of innocent and childlike response such as: because you spoil me with candy, because you show me magic or because you defend me when Papa gets mad.

The boy however, tilted his head, cheeks puffing up as he collected his thoughts and formulated a response.

“Because Aunt Inej likes you.”

Once more Kaz was left stunned. And a little flustered by the child’s words. He could only hope no one else heard it for the mere idea of someone liking Dirtyhands could stir the entire barrel with some spicy rumors. And he would not want to deal with them when his little nephew was around.

Soren’s eyes twinkled as he went on. “Aunt Inej likes me too! And, and..she told me she only likes good people. So that means Uncle Kaz is good too!”

“Alright then, ” Kaz coughed to compose himself and offered a gloved hand for the boy to hold. “Let’s get you those damned waffles.”

Soren bounced with joy at that and accepted the proffered hand as they continued their walk.

OH MY GOD I've been waiting SO LONG to have this asked to me, SO

First things first, I remember commenting somewhere on a post about Soren and Corvus' "song" that to Corvus, their song was something by Mitski, and to Soren, their song was like. I Am A Gummy Bear so write that down for them

In all seriousness I feel like Soren would like exclusively parody, joke songs. Weird Al, Danny Gonzalez, etc etc. And his ass has definitely listened to the Beast Mode Spotify playlist before

Claudia- Taking a page out of 2018 Tumblr's interpretation of Claudia as her being super goth and saying she listens to MCR or smth like that. idk I know nothing about goth music. Either that or TV girl

Terry- it would be low-hanging fruit to say he listens to Cavetown. It would be less low-hanging fruit to say he does not pay attention to lyrics in the slightest. Only tune. His playlist is the most chaotic, genre-free mess you'll ever see. It has several Christmas songs on it. He listens to it year round. Everyone is terrified of him

Callum- he's one of those queer teenage boys who listen exclusively to 80's rock. He defends the Beatles with his life (Rayla is the one he has to defend them from)

Rayla- Sneers at Callum for his love songs. Laughs at him for grinning while walking around blasting soft rock. Looks down on everyone who listens to non-instrumental music. Does not listen to lyrics music. Definitely has NOT cried to sad Conan Gray and Harry Styles songs at 1:00 am before, please stop asking

Ezran- he just listens to whatever everyone else wants to listen to tbh. He has had to mediate music-related arguements in the car before

Runaan- only listens to classical music from the Renaissance era

Kazi- idk what they'd listen to exactly (maybe like, dark academia shit) but the important thing is that they have a different playlist for everything. Going to a cafe? There's a playlist for that. Taking the bus? There's a playlist for that. Watering their cacti? There's a playlist for that. Anyone can ask them for a playlist with any concept and they'd have it, as well as a lengthy anecdote as to why.

Gren- I absolutely hate doing this to him but. Gren listens to the most agressively white man music ever. Cotton Eyed Joe is his favourite song. He knows all the lyrics to Sweet Home Alabama. He's also one of those people who never makes a playlist, just listens to music raw and randomly. You could tell him you made him a playlist and play one of those "songs that excite the white folk" and he would be ever so thankful that you made him this playlist that caters exactly to his taste. Gren I am so so sorry I did this to you but it was needed

I want you to know I have agressively slapped my hand over my mouth several times while writing this like some sort of cartoon villain

OKAY it is now the next morning and I would like to add:

Viren- hates all music. Like he thinks it's a distraction from more important things and just despises it. If there's music playing in a room he'll leave that room, no matter what

Summary: Lorelei Hester ‘Lester’ Alessandro is a bassist first and Daniel Ricciardo’s partner second. But it seems like another role is added to her resume as she begins her weekend in Baku as Toto Wolff’s children’s babysitter.

Chapter summary: Lewis Hamilton dropped by to check on his nephew and niece, only for them to give him a run for his money (quite literally). AND Lester recalled what Tilly Wolff told her about issues her problems prior to becoming a first-time parent with Toto.

vi. run, tia, run!

“My, my, are those Ren-man and Lady T?” The paddock wasn’t exactly fully occupied, if they were being truthful. It was a pretty decent Thursday afternoon so far. Or at least, nobody had ever gone out of their way to interrupt the Wolff children’s day at “work.”

Not that everybody truly knew who they were. Tilly had done her best to keep them away from the public eye because of how vile they could get. Soren and Tia rarely had photos that weren’t taken by the Mercedes social media admins or their parents, and Toto made sure that it would stay that way.

Those who approached the two were staff members of the Grand Prix. They’d run around the media pit, at times, with Tilly in tow. Those were the only times Toto and Tilly would allow their kids in front of a camera— if they were spending their time with their Uncle Jenson, Martin Brundle or Ted Kravitz. Otherwise they never allowed anyone else to put a camera on the kids’ faces.

But the paddock would be full soon enough, and cameras would be excited to get a glimpse of the Wolff kids. And Lewis Hamilton’s voice definitely gathered the attention of the siblings.

“ZIA LORI! IT’S UNCLE LEWIS!”

Lewis was knocked out of his crouching position when Soren and Tia jumped on him, pushing him off his feet.

“Gaaah, you two are getting bigger,” Lewis dramatically groaned, still lying down on the paddock grounds as he continued, “Roscoe! Rescue dad! Please!”

Roscoe, god love him, immediately ran to the direction of his dad. But instead of following his dad’s command, he went ahead and began licking Lewis in the face. Lewis squirmed and tried to get up as fast as he could and rubbed Roscoe’s belly.

“Haha!” Tia was easily amused, giggling hysterically as she looked at Lester with a grin, “Zia! Look at Uncle Lew!”

Lewis, now realizing that his godchildren weren’t alone, looked up and greeted Lester with a hug, “How have you been, Lori?”

“Good, good,” Lester smirked, “felt even better now that I know your skincare routine.”

“Nothing beats a dog’s slobber for skincare,” Lewis joked and laughed with the woman. He then changed the topic as he asked, “How are you handling the runts? Busy?”

“They’ve been good,” Lester nodded, peering down to check the kids — who were busy playing with Roscoe and Angela. “I thought it’s going to be bloodshed at the paddock today but… turns out, they’re perfectly alright with books and colours.”

“Books?!” Lewis gasped dramatically before he turned to look at Soren, “Ren-man, did you tell Zia Lori about your books?”

The boy looked up, his dark brown eyes twinkling in excitement before he nodded eagerly. “Zia saw my books!”

“He’s been keeping himself busy with his Grimms’ Fairy Tales,” Lester told Lewis before leaning forward and whispered, “he is… incredibly skilled. Like. I am jealous.”

“Oh, did he finish the book already?” Lewis asked her as if he’s asking if the sky’s blue.

“Quarter of the book left,” Lester responded, obviously still bewildered by Soren’s abilities.

“Gah, I guess Stevie and I are going to have to make a trip to the bookstores again,” Lewis groaned quietly, but was amused with the bassist’s reaction. He scratched his facial hair with his left hand, the silver band on his finger glowing under the afternoon sun. “The only thing missing in their house is a large library. I’ve told Toto about it once, but I suppose he’ll have to trip over piles of books first before he realizes it himself.”

“Why don’t you have the library—since you’re the one to think of it first?” Lester scoffed humorously.

“You really think we don’t?” Lewis snorted, watching the woman’s face contort with disbelief before he nodded in confirmation, “Oh yeah, we do. These two got their reading nook in our penthouse. They are more spoiled than you think.”

“They don’t behave poorly, thankfully,” Lester nodded. “Tilly and Toto are raising them well.”

“They’re both hands-on when it comes to that whole shebang,” Lewis shrugged, also looking down at the kids as they continued to speak, “I remember when Tilly told Toto about Soren when she fell pregnant. They had a full on intervention about their relationship.”

Ah yes. She had heard of that too.

Failures of a father, Tilly scoffed once while she spoke to Lester, it’s not failure if it hadn’t been acted upon yet.

Lester had listened to the older woman vent about her first few years of relationship with Toto. Throughout the two bottles of wine, the bassist learned a lot from Tilly herself. Not her books. From the author herself. Word by word, she could still remember it.

I honestly didn’t think that it would come to that point— where I would have a child with someone. I’m practically a spinster, Tilly said, and Toto was just a chance encounter that didn’t happen again until eight years after.

My Maman actually warned me about Toto before we began dating. She said that she had been there with my father before. I didn’t know what she meant but she made sure to tell me about the difference in age. She told me about how they’ll hide the world from you if they’re just as greedy as my father. If they wanted to keep you a wife at home.

So yeah. When I found out I was pregnant, I was at Toto's house. In his bedroom. In his bathroom. While he’s working at the headquarters until late at night. I never had time to speak to him, because he always seemed busy. I had a feeling that it wouldn’t turn out well if I stayed in his place so I drove to Lewis’.

The scenario where I was—finding out I was pregnant while the father of the child’s at work—I don’t know, it was some sort of deja vu. It was what my mom told me. Maybe my brain was hazy, but I was slowly seeing him like my father.

Apparently I shouldn’t have run off and packed my shit, Tilly chuckled, because he was phoning me after hours and I was crying my eyes out on Lewis’ couch. We got to talk the next morning. I told him everything. Like how I didn’t want to end up like my mother. I didn’t want to be alone when I’m raising a child. I didn’t want any financial support if the father couldn’t give them an emotional one. I told him—upfront, with the biggest audacity, that I didn’t want to have another Julius Hearth in my life.

I gave him an ultimatum. It’s either he stays and he cherishes the life that we’d bring together or he walks away. No money or anything. You would think that he’d have walked away by then. But he didn’t. He said he wanted a proper family. Not a divorced or separated one. Not a broken one. He just wanted… me. He said he wouldn’t make my father’s mistake.

Lewis continued, “I’m glad that she straightened him out before they returned to where they were. Because, truthfully, Toto would’ve been drowning himself at work still to this day. And…”

“You don’t want to see the same scenario happening to Tilly,” Lester continued for him. “You’ve seen it with your wife. You didn’t want that happening to your nephews and niece.”

“Or to my children, for that matter,” Lewis chuckled ruefully as he shook his head, “I’m more than willing to cut back from racing if it means for me to be involved in those little family days. I'm not going to allow Stevie to relive her childhood through our kids. I’m not going to do her dirty like that.”

“Ah, such a good man,” Lester sniffled a little before she patted him on the back, “where were you when I was looking for a man who’d treat me kindly?”

“You were with Ricciardo already,” Lewis snorted.

Lester rolled her eyes. She hadn’t even noticed the children running after Roscoe and Angela. Neither did Lewis.

Their ears deafened when they heard a distant shout of, “Tia! Don’t run! You will trip! Papa will be upset! Roscoe is faster!”

“Shit,” Lester cursed.

Lewis looked at Lester with wide eyes, “Fuck!”

They ran off.

They tried to navigate through the crowd as they called for Tia and Soren. Lester tried to look through the sea of legs and tried to follow after the tiny legs running. Lewis and Lester had been apologizing left and right for accidentally shoving people out of the way. They’re normally polite people, but if Lester and Lewis had lost the two, they might as well be dead.

“Tia Christie Wolff!” Lester exclaimed, trying to excuse herself as she zigzagged her way through the crowd.

“Soren Wolff, where you at, bruv?” Lewis called out, not even caring about the fact that their yelling is causing a commotion.

But just as they both exited the crowded area, their eyes landed on the two children. Angela stood there with a confused look, Roscoe’s head cocked to the side as if he’s also questioning his father’s panicked reaction.

��Wha- what-“ Lester panted heavily as she rested against Lewis’ panting figure. “Where did you go?”

“Following Roscoe and Angie!”

“We told you and Lewis beforehand,” Angela told her with a grin, “I think you two were just engrossed by whatever you were speaking of.”

Lester and Lewis shared a look, nodding synchronously as if they agreed on one thing. Don’t dwell too much about the past.

Lester patted Lewis in the back and said, “There’s my cardio for today. Thank you so much for coming along, Lewis.”

“Yeah of course,” Lewis nodded, “next time we’re going to run with Roscoe.”

extended scene

“So… they’re asleep now.”

“Mhm, they are, liebling. You just recited the goodnight story to them.”

“Smart ass.”

“…How is our boy? Adelmo?”

“Hasn’t cried much today. We got a visit from the children’s doctor at home and it turns out that the inflammation is subsiding.”

“Good. That is good.”

“How about the two? How did they do this Thursday?”

“I haven’t been around them much, sadly. Lorelei took care of them while I was working.”

“Hm. You did ask her if she could keep them occupied. No need to be upset about that.”

“I’m not.”

“Uh huh, right. I’ve been with you for almost nine years, I know about your tone of voice. Again. Do not worry about them.”

“I- I do not know. I flew them with me here in hopes of spending more time with them.”

“No, you flew them out so that you can keep an eye on them while you work. Besides, any time spent around the same place where their Papa is can be equal to infinity.”

“Do you think so?”

“I know so, bello. You could be fast asleep, cuddling with the two of them and they’d still think that you’re the best father ever.”

“Aren’t you sweet.”

“Not sweet if it’s honest.”

“Thank you so much, Tilly.”

“What for?”

“For telling me that I’m doing good. Or that I am doing enough to keep them happy.”

“I’m your wife, Toto. Besides keeping our children sane, it’s my duty to keep you sane as you go through all of this with me.”

“I don’t know what I would do without you.”

“Probably not have a brood of Wolffs that will make you want to rip your hair out at times.”

“That is just Tia who often makes me feel that.”

“Maybe…”

“…”

“…How did Lori find it? Taking care of the two?”

“She ran out of English by the end of the day, I think.”

“Haha. Poor lady.”

“Yeah, no. The kids made her and Lewis run because they were chasing Roscoe and Angela.”

“Did you mention that they like to do that a lot? Running off to another direction, I mean?”

“I probably should have.”

“Yes. You probably should have. What else?”

“Oh, none of the drivers got to see them.”

“Not even Charles? Or Max?”

“Just Lewis. Neither of them got to see the littles.”

“Toto, you ought to take it easy on them—“

“It is media day, Tilly. If anything, Charles needs to work on his strategy constantly. It’s best if we leave them alone- or you know- get him a better race engineer.”

“Yeah, that’s what you would say if they’re not your driver and they’re dating your in-laws.”

“…Anyway. Soren started on a book this morning. Grimms Fairy Tale.”

“Is it the really thick one? With the German language?”

“Yes, the book that your Maman got him.”

“How did he like it?”

“Yes, she did. Lori said that she learned it because she coloured outside the line. She said it was bad at first, but Lori taught her how to say "accident” and then Tia just accepted that accidents aren’t bad.”

“I can tell that they had a productive day today, love.”

“I asked them if they can work hard like their Papa and they gave me a promise hug.”

“There’s the dealbreaker.”

“…so…are you going to sleep soon?”

“Adelmo’s fast asleep. I think I should get as much sleep as I can before he screams bloody murder at three.”

“Right… Well, I will leave you be.”

“Get your beauty sleep as well, bello.”

My thoughts on TDP season 4:

Claudia and Terry are absolutely perfect, both together and as individuals

I love seeing Claudia descending further into darkness, she’s such an interesting character

I had no idea what to think of Terry when I first heard of him but now I love him so much, he’s such a sweetheart who loves his bamf wife girlfriend

(Also is it just me or did he sound like if Tom Holland tried to do an Australian accent?)

Viren also had such an interesting arc this season, like you kind of feel for him at times and he seems like he wants to go towards a better path but keeps being pushed by Claudia

My boy Soren is back! I missed him so much! My boy is thriving, befriending dragons and being his loveable goofball self

I felt so bad for him though when he realized Viren was still alive, poor baby is still trying to recover from all his father did to him and the terror of Soren seeing him again was so heartbreaking

Janai using sign language to propose was so cute but why on earth did she think it would be a good idea to surprise Amaya with what looks like weapons when she knows how paranoid Amaya is

That being said their whole relationship was really cute and I’m glad to see it

Ezran!!! He’s doing so well as king even though he’s only 11 and he’s just as sweet as always

Poor Callum is trying so hard and him being possessed was creepy but his first thought being for Rayla to kill him is hilarious, like why was that your first thought? Are you ok?

(I know he isn’t but geez)

Rayla seems to have taken a lot of time to really think about things and is trying so hard to make amends with Callum. Her being worried they wouldn’t want her around because she left was just heartbreaking and I’m glad everyone was so excited to see her again (Callum’s getting there but he’s going through some things so he gets a pass)

Also I’m so glad Rayla knows about and has the coins now and I can’t wait to see what happens next

summary: lo'ak gives you that mischievous grin of his and you already know it could end in trouble, yet you accompany him either way.

warning : lo'ak being himself, this kinda sucked idk

you were on the ground with tuk and kiri, telling stories, talking about anything as you teach them how to make necklaces. tuk was very enthusiastic

the three of you shared laughs, barely getting much necklaces done. then you sense someone else join the three of you and you looked up to see lo'ak.

he's your best friend, everyone calls you the partners in crime. despite you two being somehow different, for instance; he was impulsive and you were precautious.

yet he manages to drag you along his rash decisions mostly because you fear for his health and letting him go alone might push him to do stupid shit

neytiri adored the relationship you and lo'ak had, she notices how you pull him down from anything too dangerous yet encourages him in his adventurous nature.

he looks at you and you gave him a soft smile, which makes his heart do backflips.

he gives you a grin you know all too well

"y/n, my best friend, my sidekick, my partner-" he says, obviously trying to persuade you into something he wants to do.

"what are you up to now, boy? i know grin too well" you cut him off, while still adding beads to the necklace you were currently making.

"soren told me he saw some secret tunnel, but he was too pussy to go inside. i wanna go inside!" he says, practically jumping in excitement like a little kid

"lo'ak that tunnel could be dangerous." you pointed out, trying to get him to think things through

"but y/n/n, it could also be beautiful! please please please" he said, trying to tag you along.

"we could get hurt, do you really want an earful from your father again?" you say

he rolls his eyes at that, "oh come on when is he not lecturing me." he said nonchalantly. he grabbed your arm and tugged a little

"please, if anything goes wrong ill do anything you want for a week." he said still tugging your arm.

sighing, "fine, but if you get even a tiny scratch on yourself ill slap you." you said, standing up while he still has his hand wrapped around your arm.

here you were, hand in hand with lo'ak as you both walked through the forest.

"where is this damn tunnel lo'ak" you stated more than asked, you've been walking for approximately twenty five minutes and it was getting boring.

"he said it was just about a few blocks from here" he paused looking around, yet he heard a twig snapping and so did you

both your ears perked up,sensing danger, anf getting in a fighting stance.

you hear it growl, and saw these rapid animals that looked somewhat similar to a panther, crouching down, ready to charge and pounce at you two

your eyes widen, "holy shit holy shit holy shit, lo'ak!!" you grabbed his arm and started running, dragging him along.

he mutters some curse words and tried to run faster but these animals were catching up, one even managed to scratch lo'ak's leg

he yelled in pain, and look at the wound.

"fuck, come on let's go!" you said, also looking at his wound. you finally ran away far enough and the animals left you alone.

now you were trying to heal his wound as much as you can with limited resources.

you sigh, "i knew something bad would happen." you said, rubbing some soothing ointment that you bring for emergencies like this on his scratches.

he sheepishly grins "sorry, y/n/n. you know you love me." he said, his teasing nature still in him

you scoff and said, "i hate you."

he grins even wider

"i love you too."

you roll your eyes despite the small smile showing on your face and the blush on your cheeks.

this man was gonna be the death of you, if only he knew the effect he had on you.

you stare into his beautiful eyes and so did he, both of your minds rushing with things you wish you could say yet hesitate with the fear of rejection lingering around.

"let's go back?" you said, breaking the tension

he gets flustered and nods, "y-yeah, we should." stuttering as he spoke. he was lost in your eyes as he wishes you were something more.

everyone could see how you both pined for each other yet both of you were oblivious.

you both had the same wishes yet the same hesitation.

Leigh plays Tellius prt 1

Alright, I did it! I started playing Path of Radiance! Starting out, I have a few goals for myself, namely:

No one dies

Get Ike and Soren to rank A

Get Ike and Ranulf to rank B

Max out Soren and Ilyanna's speed

Get Ranulf to his max level with as many capped stats as possible

Will I manage it? I haven't a clue, but here we go!

Immediately I am so sentimental over the interactions between the Greil Mercs. Mist is so dang sassy, and I love it! I'm also going to try to get Mist and Boyd to an A support, but it depends on whether or not Boyd manages to keep up. In my experience, he tends to be a bit of a wild card; good on some playthrus, and terrible on others.

Ahhh, the mercenary fort!! Also, how have I never noticed the small houses around the fort? Do you think that's where the mercs live, or do other people live there?

By the way, I adore the way the story starts off slow, introducing only 2-3 new Greil Mercs per chapter, to get the player invested in the dynamics of the group. To me, the Greil Mercenaries are really the emotional core of this game, so I'm glad that they give us so many various interactions between the characters before the plot even kicks in. It gives the player a sense of the Merc's values, as well as foreshadow the inner conflicts that will spring up later.

It's my girl!!! I honestly didn't even realize how much I loved Mia until she showed up and I immediately had the goofiest smile on my face.

And here's Ranulf!!!! I'm so excited to see him~

I was so nervous starting this map. I remembered it being a LOT more difficult than it ended up being. Ike, Mia, and Soren were able to manage the left side all by themselves, whereas I had Titania, Boyd, and Oscar kind of take turns guarding the other two chokepoints, with Rhys offering healing to whoever needed it the most. Boyd did super well on this map, so I gave him the honor of killing the boss.

As much as I adore PoR's writing, I do have one complaint, and it's this scene. I feel like the conflict escalates too quickly, but even more than that, it resolves itself waaaaay too easily. I adore Soren, but he was absolutely in the wrong here. Lethe did not have to forgive him right away. In fact, I would have preferred it if this conflict maintained some tension for the next couple of maps, before being resolved in a base conversation, the way they handled Jill's character arc.

Aaaaaand, that's part one! I am going to be tagging these posts as "leigh plays tellius", so I can keep an archive of them.

i dunno if i've posted about him before but the main character is named soren harlow (god i'm gonna have to delete this post at some point because i'm sharing a lot of Information here) he's a trans boy with like... these are my guesses: (c-)ptsd, maybe DID or OSDD, panic disorder or generalized anxiety disorder, somewhere on the schizophrenia spectrum, bipolar i, bpd, narcissistic traits, and an eating disorder . he's... quite mentally Unwell lol (just like me real ^_^) and literally the story starts with him Cutting Himself. (interesting hook, azrael...) and then it's... him going to a grocery store and losing his shit . . . !

Anyway. i haven't planned super far ahead though i have a vague vision for the ending; i'm still working on outlining everything. but i know there will be possession and there may already have been possession ... :) . and i have the main like... harmful spirit character planned out in my head already. very excited to introduce em... but it'll be later in the story.

and the other characters um!! they're named florencia and andrew, they're kind of... major assholes at the start of the story, like andrew immediately misgenders soren in a weird like nice guy way HAHAHAHA... it's so bad, i hate both of them at the start, but they'll have development. Oh and florencia calls soren Slurs BYE um. florencia's definitely worse than andrew, andrew's just kinda.... stupid... and ignorant. but they're all depressed as hell. my goal with those two is to make their dynamic so ridiculous that they become tolerable for the comedy relief factor... i hope i can pull it off.

ALSO FLORENCIA IS GENDERFLUID which... is really funny to me, considering she CALLS SOREN SLURS AT THEIR FIRST INTRODUCTION AND HAS A LOT OF .. EXTERNALIZED .. TRANSPHOBIA .. yeah.

i will fix them (through a lot of hard work) i swear. they have to suffer a lot though ^_^ but poor soren (he is doomed by the narrative) . ..

i hope that makes... any sense. ^^; it's fun to talk about yayy

The Dragon Prince Thoughts Season 4 Episodes 1 and 2

ok so i read ttm and dear callum (and cried over both of them but that’s not important) and by my understanding that’s the only thing i had to read to understand what’s happening so i think i’m good

Episode 1

-“rebirthday” oh this is gonna hurt

-if dark magic eventually makes your hair turn white then why isn’t viren’s hair also white also he’s old

-bruh what is this sparkly place and why did it turn viren into a game piece

-just callum being in the same room with the mirror is making me uncomfortable

-relieved to know that callum is still just as much of a dork as he used to be

-NEW SPELL IN THE FIRST THREE MINUTES

-just thinking about all the new spells were gonna be seeing makes me so excited

-soren is also exactly the same

-crow master finally getting the appreciation he deserves

-callum being excited about his amazon package, he is all of us

-LOOK AT HIM

-ezran literally arranged bait his own dramatic entrance

-WHY IS THIS BAKER SO IMPORTANT HES A BAKER WHY IS HE HERE AND WHY DOES HE GET AN OFFICIAL TITLE

-RAYLA would’ve thought the dragon queen joke was funny

-callum literally wasn’t even out of the room yet soren i know you’re smarter than this

-it probably would’ve been smart for janai to mention to amaya that flame ribbons are used in sunfire elf dances at some point before this so her girlfriend doesn’t think she’s getting attacked with fire whips

-callum standing there waiting for soren in this specific spot implies that soren does lunges on this same route every day

-CALLUM IS THE SAME HEIGHT AS SOREN NOW LOOK AT HOW MY BOY HAS GROWN

-just imagine being one of those dancers i would be so confused

-i couldn’t care less about viren’s life i just care about claudia’s feelings

-corvus knows all he has to do is mention callum’s latest hyperfixation and it’ll buy them hours to think of a story

-soren acting like he didn’t know callum could fly

-amaya attacking the proposal dancers and callum almost zapping everyone at his surprise party, like aunt like nephew

-imagine waking up to find out you’ve been dead for two years and in order to stay not dead you have to free a magical being from his ancient prison and you have less than 30 days to do it and then your daughter brings out her boyfriend who’s an elf (and you were trying to kill all elves last time you were alive)

-do you ever see a sad scene coming and you just have to pause it and prepare yourself for a second because the second i saw callum on that balcony i knew

-you can tell just from this thirty seconds that ezran has been callum’s therapist for to last two years

-🎶it’s my party and i’ll cry if i want to🎵

Episode 2

-are they really expecting the staff to still be there?

-ezran literally never questions any of callum’s dorkiness he’s always just like “you do you big bro”

-ZYM HAS GROWN SO MUCH OMG

-also ibis going from “powerful sky mage” to “dragonsitter” is so funny to me like there are so many more important things for him to do but nope he’s here trying to convince the prince to eat his vegetables

-also i’m pretty sure i’ve said this before i’m gonna ask again, are the runes for the wing spell tattooed on ibis’s arms or does he just like regularly repaint them? or after you do the spell once are they just there permanently? and if that’s so does callum also have the runes on his arms? he has to in some way because he just did the wing spell last episode

-THATS WHAT IM SAYING

-can’t tell if viren is acting like this to terry because he is an elf or just because he’s his daughter’s boyfriend

-why did karim look at gren and amaya? does this dude really think amaya is cheating on his sister with her best friend? has he not heard of lesbians?

-i love him

-viren stop being so dramatic and just admit you’re out of shape

-at least he’s self aware

-woah this took a whole different path than i thought it would

-i thought karim was about to be homophobic but turns out he’s just racist

-we all know dark magic is wrong but claudia just looks so cool doing it i don’t know whether to scold her or applaud

-just to be clear viren accepting that he’s nothing but crap doesn’t make me hate him any less

ahhh thank you @elmelloill for the tag, i am so excited to have a chance to do a tag game again. hm, not unlike lev's sentiment, i feel like i know most of the people im gonna tag but i want to share in the fun :D you don't have to and if i didnt tag you but you still wanna do the thing then!!!!!! do it!!!!! so technically (aside from catboy ot3) all ships are rotating in my brain at all times, and it kind of depends on what thing i've become re-obsessed with at any given moment. i am on a duo of fire emblem and ace attorney eras all over again, so chrobin (both robins), ike/soren and klapollo are all on the brain. also ryukita for persona 5 since we started replaying that one recently. also flynn/yuri from tales of vesperia bc they're a very fun dynamic i like chewing on. rowan/graha/estinien just. lurks at the back of my mind at all times klhgkjh

first ship ever: percy/annabeth from the pjo books, i think? thats the oldest i can remember, bc i got into the series in middle school. for other not-first ships, i think roughly around then i was also just dabbling in ds games of all kinds. i definitely read the pokemon special/pokemon adventures manga and shipped red/yellow, and then protag/keith in the second pokemon ranger game. i wrote....so much fanfiction back then...

last song: if we're being technical it's a lofi mix i have on for work (link to my work playlist here if you want it) but otherwise, it's been XIV/genshin/star rail OSTs and a mix of ok goodnight/casey lee williams the edge and fall out boy's so much for stardust album, though really it's the first two songs

last movie: UHHHHH i think the most recent indiana jones movie? my dad took me for my birthday last month, hehe. NO WAIT IT WAS BARBIE the barbie movie was good

currently reading: unfortunately i dont read books all that much any more, and mostly the same for fics. i guess this is the time to give me book recs?

currently watching: well, nothing really TV show wise, though i was hoping to maybe start a rewatch of the first few arcs of fairy tail. we'll see. i mostly watch youtube nowadays, and usually it's a combination of channels. playframe happens to be my favorite (nice and varied playthrough content, but also just a really nice husband/wife duo that plays things together and with their friends). i also enjoy studson studio since i want to do more diorama building and he's the one that got me interested in it :)

currently consuming: ough sweet tarts and a ginger ale technically speaking, im like a zombie at work today and hoping the sour and bubbly will keep me awake @_@ but i did have a nice yoghurt and croissant for breakfast (i promise i eat normal meals and i just happen to be snacking rn fldkjgh)

currently craving: the comfort of my bed bc i have an extremely terminal case of sleepy bitch disease

in honor of both the owl house and the dragon prince trailers being released i bring you: the main characters and main villains of each show in each others’ universe

so basically for the owl house characters it’s just going to be which type of magic they have maybe of who i think they resemble in the series and vice versa!

the owl house as the dragon prince:

Luz

is obviously Callum in the sense that they are both the main character, kind of childlike, and want to learn magic when it is said for it to be impossible for humans

ends up learning sky magic like Callum does

Amity

i’m obsessed with the idea of her being Rayla, main character’s enemy turned love interest, badass, parent issues, great hair

obviously moon magic since i just feel like it fits and she has that moon necklace

Willow

i don’t really know who she would be in the dragon prince universe tbh

earth magic bc plants are kind of part of earth. idk if she would be an earthblood elf tho. i know there are other types of earth elves but it hasn’t been said what they are yet

Gus

he’s Ezran all the way bc he’s younger than everyone else and gets underestimated all the time, but is actually more than capable and was forced to grow up sooner than everyone else

obviously he would do moon magic and would specifically be an illusionist

Hunter

Soren!!! both of them are my favorite blond white boys, and very skilled in hand to hand combat, have an abusive father figure (Viren and Belos) that they later got away from

no magic, sword fighter on the king’s guard

Eda

Ethari bc they were the best of their kind (in magic and fighting) and saw a child and immediately adopted it, she could also kinda be Lujanne

i could see Eda doing sky magic with the whole wing transformation thing (like harpy eda form)

King

Zym. hatched without his parents and is going to grow up to essentially be a god but looks so cute rn, and never knew their dads

because of all of that above he would be a sky dragon

Belos

as said above he’s viren. learned magic he wasn’t supposed to and was an abusive father figure that hates the magic people and betrayed his brother (i’m talking about harrow since viren called him a brother)

dark magic

The Collector

aaravos. ok so yeah ik that they are almost completely opposites personality wise but they’re both starry people that used the main villain of the first couple seasons as pawns in their game and were/are trapped in a prison by the cute little guy’s dad

he would definitely be so excited to learn magic that he would forget to choose a type and he would be in every track

his palisman would be an owl bc they’re nocturnal birds and it just makes sense

i don’t think any of the tracks really fit rayla for some reason but maybe oracle?

her palisman would be a tiny little dragon

hear me out. Kikimora with a bit of Willow. too loyal to the human that shouldn’t know magic, but is also cute and goofy.

she would also start consuming palisman like belos did but idk for what reason yet. maybe she just plays the role kikimora did but is still a human.

Soren

Hunter, as said before

no magic without his palisman, which is a german shepherd

Viren

obviously Belos, down to his appearance being changed from the magic he’s not supposed to be doing and nearly dying from it

consumes palismen to keep himself alive, but turns into a monster

Aaravos

And a lot more stuff, but this is what I'm thinking of now! I had my own issues with this season, but you're right, people are being way too critical and we need more positivity for it out here! That said, I want to thank you so much for defending it and keeping this blog negativity free - you've definitely brought me around, at least! Thank you for your service and hope this helps!!

One thing I loved this season was how dynamic the lighting was in particular. No two scenes were almost ever lit precisely the same way and there were so often like, shafts of light with little dust particles. It was so cool

And thank you for your kind words. I feel like I don't see much negativity here on tumblr (and even when it was here people were very good about tagging it accordingly, so big kudos) anymore so much as almost a lack of excitement, which just felt so opposite bc all S4 did was add to my excitement once I re-calibrated some expectations. Like the possession plot line alone and foreshadowing of that alone, nevermind all the horrifying implications about what Rayla's been through and everyone's arcs? How much worldbuilding we got for Xadia in terms of politics (arch dragons) and culture (Sunfire elves)? Amazing & stupendous. I'm always content with taking longer to get to a destination than I previously thought if the journey there is fun and engaging, and S4 definitely delivered that and more than a few lovely surprises along the way

Like Rayla and Callum are absolutely my fave characters, Rayla in particular, but I truly deeply love every character basically as much. I'm fine with her (and Aaravos) continuing to foil each other with a little more mystery and a backseat for a season if everyone else gets to shine. I'm excited to see where they all go from here!

Thoughts part 4 (spoilers)

I just realized the different seasons have names of the six magic elements—does that mean there will be 6 seasons?? That’s a lot. If it stays this good, though, I’m here for it

Also I was thinking about it, and now I’m wondering if Ezran’s weird taffy hippo dream was also significant, since Callum’s was? Maybe I'll go back and watch it later

So who actually is the Crow Lord? I really wanna meet him now. The Crow Master is a darling too though, so cute and awkward and relatable

I… I have so many feelings for Soren right now. On the one hand, he’s had so much character growth, and still maintains his adorable whacky side. On the other, he’s blaming himself pretty hard for something he didn’t actually do. Poor boy
