i love public transportation and i live in los angeles which has a burgeoning system, so there’s bound to be kinks and learning curves. we weren’t lucky to get a great society metro, most of the city proper is single family housing outside of wilshire, dtla, and some properties in westlake area, and la was built with the car as the main resident within the city, so no matter what, public transpo & pedestrian oriented infrastructure will be an uphill battle. i will always applaud metro for /trying/, but it’s just frustrating sometimes.

i’ve been late to work & school more times than i’m comfortable with because the e line has no signal preemption so we have to wait at jefferson, pico, western, vermont, and crenshaw for four minutes each like a car and then we have to wait at the station for 10 minutes for some unexplainable issue. and then because of that, i miss my bus which wasn’t there anyway because of bunching and poor infrastructure so now there’s 100 people at the bus stop cramming into a bus to get to their jobs, but cars are clogging the roads and making it near impossible to travel more than 20 miles an hour for much of the trip there.

cars are the least efficient form of transportation known to man and one of the greatest cities on earth, my hometown, where i was born and raised, was not built for and will continue to denigrate humans and pedestrian alike. and, car drivers will continue to demean and fear monger about walking and public transportation. the suv & light truck arms race is turning thoroughfares which should have multitudes of modes of transport within and serve people into raceways where you can go 45 with no repercussions. right hand turns on red have nearly hit me more times than i have fingers.

i live in a city where we can afford to widen the 405 into oblivion and bloat lapd’s budget yearly and yet we can’t provide good enough infrastructure for angelenos?? this is a major policy failure and we are living with its effects. i’m so tired of living in a city built for the wealthy and for the vehicle. we need to change los angeles zoning codes, enforce rent caps, institute a low income rent moratorium, tear down the 110, 10, 710, 101, 405, and 210, institute a robust commuter rail system, publicize the railroads, remove eighteen wheelers as the primary mode of freight movement, expand heavy rail through urban core, increase density along metro corridors and use property taxes to pay for projects and maintain system, increase metro ambassadors, clean the cars, update the rolling stock, rebuild union station, create streetcar suburbs in la county, increase density in the suburbs, turn all boulevards and avenues into mixed mode thoroughfares, increase cycling network, create a statewide engineering and construction firm instead of outsourcing, produce american made rolling stock, create a high speed rail system, and turn cities back into thriving hubs of culture where we can afford rent, create art, live lives, move freely, build community, and live healthier, more fulfilling lives.

Frankie's incredibly confident in her own abilities, but this manifests itself as arrogance sometimes. When the American mechanics first arrived, there was definitely some tension - she knew she was more experienced than them, and she wasn't interested in helping them get better. It wasn't until she began to befriend Ken that she realised the others weren't actually useless. Being a workaholic is definitely also a negative trait of hers. She'll miss anything if there's something at work she thinks she needs to do, and it can really frustrate other people. Frankie and George don't fight, but I can definitely imagine this causing some arguments in the early days of their friendship. Her abrasiveness can definitely rub people the wrong way, especially figures of authority. Frankie has no problem yelling at someone when she disagrees with what they're doing, regardless of rank, and whilst this can be admirable it can also get her into more trouble than it's worth.

I’ve always said that Americans created and fully believe a history that is just tainted fully by propaganda, and if you look at any event just… as it actually happened you can break it. And even they did the whole rebrand of “well, men exist to protect women?” Against what? What do we need protecting from? wait… other men? How wonderful and selfless of you.

And it’s not just men who believe it it’s so many women. All their problems are either created by men, or not even that significant they just completely erased and ignored womens history that had it ten times worse.

As I have said before. I am done. I can’t. I can’t watch it and I am not going to even watch season 4. It’s too heartbreaking and I have no fucking hopes for season 5. I just watched Will and Mike’s clip in the van , the Mike el forehead touch and Mike monologue and I can’t believe they can hate a character to this degree.

I feel like they had too many ideas and instead of keeping it simple and core to the main characters they tried to do too many different things from different references (remember the white board with all movie names they took their so called inspiration from) that it turned into a big flop.

To have an unrequited love is fine

To have an unrequited gay love is also fine

But in this situation with everything that we have seen so far from season 1

IT IS NOT FINE

The whole thing doesn’t make sense. Mike wheeler doesn’t make sense. His character went from the leader, the protector, the person who could tell Will was alive by just his breathing, the person who knew his mood or if he was okay is now a prop for Eleven, he didn’t even questioned why Will is crying, didn’t even noticed ???? And actually smiled when Will said El needs you. I can’t !!!! Mike’s character couldn’t be more degressed they made him into a pathetic asshole who is like a jerk to his best friend of 10 years apparently for no reason and the only problem he has is telling eleven I love you back

The whole Eleven’s development till Season 4 Vol1 flushed down the drain by getting back together with Mike because of his love for her.

And I can’t even formulate about Will, the once Main Character reduced to a gay pining selfless boy who only touches his neck when he senses vecna. He has been through so much so so much and he thinks he is a mistake 💔

This all is just lazy ass writing trying to keep your audience (mileven shippers) happy. Everything boiling down to that lousy, zero genuine Mike monologue and they called that his best acting !

They used Will’s feelings to push Mike and Eleven together. They treated Will’s character and his feelings like shit. He opened his entire heart to Mike ! Told him he is the heart of the group all so that Mike can tell Eleven I love you. I hate this. They treated his character like shit, his feelings were like device to prove mileven is endgame. It already was !!!! They both are dating for two seasons now. They made him so miserable.

And I with my own two eyes saw the swing set in vol1 I was not tripping. I mean how that painting changed

I give up. I got way too attached. My mistake.

“Collision” Updates (i’m so sorry 💔 )

Hello everyone!

For those of who who have been waiting on my fic “Collision”, this is for you.

So, I have good news. And I have some bad news.

Good news is I finished the first 3 chapters.

Bad news is, I'm re-writing all of it currently.

I apologize for this delay.

(yes fandom I know we've had enough of the delays lately but bear with me bby’s, I promise i’m working my hardest 😭)

The problem is, I just didn't like how it was turning out. And I want to give you guys the best experience I possibly can through my writing.

I’ve been working all night on the first chapter layout and I promise you guys, it's looking so much better.

In the meantime, here are some sneak peaks of what I've added so far.

1. Y/n is apart of a fictional na’vi clan I created called the ‘Sekani’ tribe. I am Native American, and it is based off of my own tribe because na’vi culture is pieced off of factual aspects of Native culture. I thought it would be a great opportunity to share the experience of feeling like a na’vi id my readers were shown a world based off of a real tribe.

2. It does not follow the events of ATWOW, so unfortunately, we lack characters like Ao’nung, Tsireya, Rotxo, Ronal, and Tonowari.

But, to make up for it, I have created characters that are very closely modeled and based after them.

3. The Sekani are very similar to the Tayrangi, but more governed.

4. I'm doing a ‘find all of the parallels and references from the first movie’ thing with Lo’ak and the reader.

5. Sekani wear white paint around their eyes almost similar to eyeliner.

6. Enemies to lovers type shit.

7. I wanted to be inclusive, so due to the Sekani climate, they can have any texture of hair (culry, straight, wavy, braids, love, etc)

8. Y/n’s personality is strongly similar to Annabeth from the ‘Percy Jackson’ series for those who are familiar.

9. Lots of bonding with the Sully family along with your adventure with Lo’ak.

10: I know at least one of you is thinking it, and no.

Neteyam does not die. The only deaths are minor characters, the only major death is one I refuse to spoil so read and find out.

its really a mixed bag LOL generally he sleeps lightly and disturbedly. a little more scheduled at the fresk facility (not his choice) but a little less horribly overall once hes with faust.

Details irt his dying and undying: he was like esploded and shot because he happened to join the military just before the once-every-20-years-severe-civil-unrest. and he died but the soon-to-be-defunct Citizens Longevity Project stitched his sorry ass back up and life supported him and tried to see wtf else would work Experimentally. it was Painful and Traumatizing for him. The project got defunded like a year or two after they realived him but long story short the founder coordinated things to where he and the others would pretty much have to just relocate but still stay in Custody. It was already pretty horrific but the quality of care obviously went steeply downhill LOL the only good part was that they didnt really bring in anyone new to get experimented upon.

2. Unlike harvey he actually graduated highschool before joining the military, but honestly it probably woulda been better for him to go earlier since he kinda sucked at school LOL. part two: i regret to inform that altho he was mainly a soldier/body to get shot at, his position during peacetime was pretty much just a junior cop.

3. He's pretty unimpressed by Faust's fancy coffee-making skills and doesnt really like coffee in the first place, but anything that isnt Facility Slop is a treat to him so he drinks it anyway.

He still remembers how to shoot *smiles* thats pretty much all tho, he'd have been a decent fighter in his youth despite his tall scrawnyness but those days are long gone. he sure can try tho.

I don't think he's ever really had pets or anything, but he'd likely enjoy a dog. i say this insultingly.

💔 — what are three of your oc's negative traits?

Im gonna like.....not bring his Circumstances into it so i'll just focus on his base personality LOL. he's a Sheeple for lack of better words 😔 severely. Kinda in the same vein, he's quite approval-seeking. And i think he also suffers from harvey's disease in that he acts very passive and clueless while participating in (usually indirect) violence. altho i suppose he paid for that last one pretty quickly seeing how his bout in the military ended LOL.

💜 — what is your oc's ancestry/genetic background?

Apart from several generations of region zeroites, i think his and harvey's ancestors are majorly like. german/british medwestern americans.

🥪 — what does your oc's typical lunch look like? do they usually eat lunch?

Faust gives him his unwanted scraps like he's a dog. He gets his own lunch when theyre living together too tho, ofc. hes a VIP. He has whatever Faust is having and its a LUXURY compared to the like. cheese sandwiches and slop he's been served at the freak facility.

🤔 — what are some of your oc's quirks/mannerisms?

He's often very confused or volatile Because he is confused because he was like literally reborn today and he can't catch a break. He has a staring problem.

🧐 — is your oc more logical or emotional?

He's guided by his desire to Keep The Peace, and he usually sees that as doing what he's told. I think its an emotional response. It's hard for him to follow much logic even if he wanted to nowadays, he's only able to operate in the Non-Warehouse World off of what the extremely biased other in his life have told him since he's been out.

Depending on how old you are 5'0 is actually not that short. I think I had my last growth spurt when I was 19 or 20. Not much but added another centimeter. Either way, being on the short side also has its benefits! We won't run into knee problems due to our height 💪🏻

I'm like... 5'5-ish (167 cm) but I feel incredibly short because my bf is literally 6'1 or so and his brother is somewhere around 6'7 or so... I feel like a dwarf next to them lol.

Im walking down the stairs after school in the student rush and as I’m turning on the stairwell, a guy’s hand on the other side of the rail brushes up against my knuckles. I turn around dead serious and say: “we’re basically in love 😕❤️😐🫤” (never saw him again) a modern romance. 💔

Levi: 

when I was a wee little child at a Marshall’s. I’m lugging around the big ass cart and something drops from a shelf I push by (nothing breaks tho) and I don’t notice. A random ass white lady turns to me in a nasally voice: “aren’t you going to pick that up?” i was a shy kid and wanted to kill myself on the spot if she didn’t do it herself. I felt like a monster, a plague in the universe, ashamed :/  😢

Connie + Sasha:

In kindergarten lunchtime. We’re served the rectangular pizza slices (the ones that come in a box iykyk😋😋). this is still uniformcore era and I got a white shirt on. BOOM all the gaps in my baby teethed mouth pushes pizza sauce onto my shirt. Me and my best friend try to fix the stain by pouring milk on it. 🤪🤪(milk is white and so is my shirt, whats the problem??) it didnt work. 🤩🤩🤩

Eren: 

I was in third grade and this boy I was friends with got annoyed with me and slapped me :/ he also used to get nosebleeds every other day. ☹️

Jean: 

second grade and I overheard a boy teasing another boy about liking me (not confirmed!) i freak the fuck out and get extremely depressed and can’t eat dinner for over a week bc im stressed he’s gonna say something to me and im going to be a sinner and my parents are gonna find out and im going to have to deal with confrontation and im going to feel icky and do something illegal and and and. 😖😣😣😩😩😫😫😫😟😟My sister rolls her eyes and says “he’s not going to marry you”. 🤨🤨she was so right for that.

Armin: 

my best friend in middle school who unironically wore sweater vests like the nerds we were. i miss him a lot. he was also allergic to everything. 😗😗 the whole class wasn’t allowed to drink milk during lunch best debate partner and best winning history fair partner. :(💔💔💔

Erwin:

It’s the seventh grade and we’re holding a mock trial where i’m in defense of king george iii (?) idek this is the american revolution or wtv🤮🤮🤮But ANYWAYS im the lawyer so im in charge of giving the opening and closing statement. Im sat there listening to the opposing sides witnesses and statements in the corner, typing furiously on my laptop. 😝Come my turn (and im the last to go with my closing statement btw) i start dragging every single witness’ ass about their shit, calling them out on their bullshit and proving every single thing wrong. 💥👊💥👊 It litterally was never that serious???😐😐😐 But anyways im blowing the whole case open in the last couple minutes and we end up winning the case. 😏😏😏And then everyone clapped. No but they really were. I felt famous ✌️✌️✌️✌️

im not christian my family's not christian and natch we're culturally christian but we never did xmas that hard bc my mom didnt want us to look christian but i rlly love xmas movies a lot i like the concept of a charitable spirit that overcomes people and bright lights and kids believing in magic and stuffy adults doing everything in their power to keep that magic alive for just one more calendar year just a little longer until they begin to almost believe in magic themselves i think it's really cute and sweet and this sounds insane but i like american xmas bc theres no like. irony. in france yeah it's all decked out but they dont have cheesy songs and the kids half the time dont actually think theres a guy who comes down the chimney out of the kindness in his heart and the parents dont really care to keep that spirit alive anyways and all the lights are minimalist and no ones allowed to be bright and colorful and tacky you must be in an intentionally ugly sweater at best. i know theres a million and one problems with the culturally christian takeover of america with xmas but i still feel a little bit of something inside me when we do the cheesy xmas stuff. i dunno 💔
