I animated second half of (magpie) bird scene so it comes from the right. It needs clean up though.

Wk 10 - Background colouring II

Bird's eye view of Acland refreshening landscape. (Blue, green and orange) (30/04/24)

Same night background but added houses and windmill to fill in the empty space. (01/05/24)

Replicating Harry's background colouring, I rushed on the buildings, cows, flowers and text. (01/05/24)

With reference to my style frame of the coal mountain, I tried to use the colours (bloody red, light orange and desaturated yellow) to show the horrifying destruction on Acland's landscape with coal mountains and nuclear plants appearing above the black pit. (I may have darken the colours close to black too much.) (01/05/24)

Desaturated Acland (Blue and Yellow) - Glenn Beutel's vision of the world becomes gloomy and almost colourless as he is all alone and his time is coming soon. Acland houses remains as footprint in a similar shape to black pit and trees have dried up as the leaves of life were stolen away. (I should have made the trees fallen.)

Fiery Acland (Orange and Yellow) - The alternative approach where New Hope's post-destruction created Hell for Glenn Beutel. Everything dried up, but his home. But we went with the desaturated one, as it conveys better of Glenn's surrounding after chaos.

Week 9 was IGA First Nation Presentation.

STUVAC - Clean Up (Bird Scene)

I didn't really clean up the bird as a magpie. It was all animated by Prajit. I clean the lines that were intersecting such as the body crossing over the wings. Wk 6/7 + STUVAC - Backgrounds Colouring, not design I took on the background and colour role (we split role):

Changed the composition for Acland beautiful garden background and played with blues, greens, yellows, purples, and orange. I gave the grass and house textures by stroke lines. (Mobile drawing app IbisX paint) (29/03 - 09/04/24)

Played with blues and greens to create the cold/cool ominous night and distorted sky. I used charcoal-textured and soft-pressured air brush, and gave the roofs textured lines or else the roof looks bland alone. (Adobe Photoshop) (10/04/24)

In the animation, the black pit scribbles will go over the empty patch in the night background, which I had to key out the whites of Prajit's scribble animation and increase the threshold in Adobe After Effects.

----- Week 7 was mostly on Sound Brief. - Giving our sound designers somewhat the kind of music and mood for our animation which include references to Last of Us and ambience found in nature and surrounding environments. -----
