It isn't a perfect way to organize my collection, and I need to catalog more because I have a big project coming up, but I really like having it in a notebook. It might be helpful to save your labels, too, but I don't prefer that, because I want to memorize and physically write out the specs of my yarn.

You might want to dedicate each page to specific projects, as well!

He’s the definition of girldad. To a T. Like, when she’s younger and he’s still new to the whole thing it’s all scary but once he’s past that and realises it’s literally just a tiny person. It’s over for everyone around him.

Waking up in the middle of the night to baby cries was something he took in stride. The first few times definitely scared the shit out of him and he wanted to wake you up. But then again, realising that it was just a tiny person. He would get up and probably fall asleep on the sofa with her instead of taking her back to the cot.

Not that he would admit it but he felt way more relaxed with her sleeping on his chest.

When she gets older, she starts asking questions about him and his job and all the ‘why’ follow ups. We’re talking ages 7-9 here.

Then telling her it and she goes onto call him Simon for three days straight before moving onto another source of entertainment.

so back in 2005-2007 I was an anthropology major, I was told that matriarchies never existed. at the time my professor said that it was kinda sexist that anthropology thought that way. so I wonder if anything has changed since then. I'm not talking about the weird mother goddess cult that hippy 2 wave feminist wanted but like, people who say they are like the muoso (I'm sorry if I spelt that wrong), and other groups. I've heard several native Americans from varrying nation that said their culture was matriarchal, and if modern anthropologist are taught that the experts on society are the people in that society, why do/did anthropologist decided a matriarchal society was impossible. I know this could take a long time to answer so if it's too long for you maybe just some helpful links to an article if you know of one.

So the answer—as always, with anthropology—is complicated.

Saying that XYZ never happened is difficult, given that all it takes is one positive instance to disprove the statement. Yes, there certainly have been (and still are) matriarchal societies. (Please also keep in mind that matriarchal societies aren't inherently better that patriarchal societies based on that one trait alone.)

If I had to guess, what you were told was the product of several theological whiplashes in anthropological theory. And you are indeed correct: some of it has to do with Second Wave Feminism. Archaeology and anthropology have been unfortunately late to the ballgame, and feminism is one of those topics.

Basically, for a long time anthropology was dominated by rich white dudes who believed that men were the center of all anthropological innovations ever (more or less, this is the simplified version). Then in the 80s/90s, Second Wave feminists managed to break into the discipline and the stance went from everything is patriarchal to everything is matriarchal.

"Whoa," said the male anthropologists who were feeling Threatened™ "we don't like that at all." Which results in a second over-correction back to the insistence that there was nothing matriarchal. If I had to guess, this is the general series of events that found its way into your classroom in the mid 00s.

If you fancy a deep dive into a good example of early feminist anthropology, check out The Gender of the Gift: Problems with Women and Problems with Society in Melanesia by Marilyn Strathern (first published in 1988). Or, if you're not inclined to read the whole thing, just read the very last five pages titled Comparison. Or you can read a review of the book from shortly after it first came out.

Other anthropologists are encouraged to chime in, and especially tell me if I've said something wrong.

Hunter's First Day

The entire ass reason why I needed Hunter in the white uniform was for this drawing (and then I ended up making 20+ renders because ofc I did) but here it is. Hunter being extremely nervous about his first day at Hexside.

I've actually gotten a chance to meet Zeno at Zenikacon in PA (probably spelt it wrong) and I asked him what Hunter's first day at Hexside would be like. He said something like he'd be super excited to learn magic in a safe environment, but also extremely nervous because he's hardly ever interacted with kids his age outside his friends and would be afraid of making a bad first impression.

I feel like leading up to the first day Hunter would be more excited then nervous, but when he puts on the uniform for the first time that's when it really hits him and he starts internally panicking.

I'm actually about to move out soon to go to university and I feel that completely, so this is kinda like a self-projection for me haha.

Just Another Day in Hades...(Requiem of the Survivors Event React III)

So we're back and this is final part to my react post!! It's mostly the damn image limit that kills me. Let me have 50 images per post ugh. Anywayssss

WOMP I spelt his name wrong in another post like all the way wrong. It's bad enough Orias couldn't even remember his name lmao

I'm crying because level with me... I read his name because of the typo as "Zaddy" instead of Zadkie Sure. I mean I'll call him Zaddy ᕕ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡° )ᕗ (btw this is a different way of calling someone "Daddy" during sex) Now you know your admin was being horny for another angel again. I am never leaving the streets at this point and Dre has his eyes on me ready to have some words. m o v i n g o n n nn

So Orias is hyping up the angel trying to get him ready for when leviathan gets over to him. they see him from afar and have their little talk, and Zadkiel is nervous asf (as he should be) but Orias is like "you're fine :D" all while he's over there slobbering over Levi's soul again.

See. Look at him. Just confident. Also this part I'm just gonna hurry up and paraphrase so "Levi" walks up to Orias and the angel and after the two of them stare at each other BAM Orias tells the angels to attack "Levi" immediately.

Looks like they got him right???

W R O N G

After Orias ripped through "Levi's" chest and ate the orb, it didn't taste at all what he expected, and...it had the opposite affect of what he thought it would too.

Won't you look at that, Orias wasn't the only one who fucking came in with a failsafe key sort of speak. SO remember back when I said Zadkiel was staring at Levi??? Well he knew who it was because it wasn't really Levi at all but an old colleague of his named Ose that was disguised by the real Levi who only half trusted Orias's note. And as I suspected, Levi was too smart for that and if we remember that he and orias are the ones that can lie. so both parties threw everyone for a loop.

Leviathan played his cards right and he won. Foras witnessed such a thing before his eyes knowing he was probs gonna win anyway lol

And omfg how cheeky, Levi also just wanted to know what would happen if Orias swallowed the soul omg. Lol this is wild. So in short honestly, Zadkiel gave up, seems that he was under Gabriel since he said his name as his last words and the Leviathan monster pretty much swallowed everyone up. It nearly goes for Orias but Levi stops it.

Yes, even after all this bullshit, Levi sticks to his original promise that he wasn't going to do anything to Orias. In fact, he even has the monster spit out a few souls for Orias to eat.

Now see here, this whole "omg being over 21 means your so old now wow" joke is tiring because no one in their 20s looks like Orias who I assume looks like a wrinkled fucking peach under there and his hair is kinda greyed out too? which I mean I've heard of that happening but come on. lol

otherwise though it comes to a conclusion that Orias was pissed off that he was tricked even though he's the one that tricked Levi in the first place

I can't either Foras. I really can't. Orias needs the timeout chair if he's gonna act like this because omg it's almost like Levi is gentle parenting him so he can act better but I mean technically none of this is a good example of gentle parenting lol But also, Orias has a new noose on his neck and if I'm reading the room correctly, I think Levi intends on using it in it future because of how he says "your life belongs to me" and that it's not like the old one.

Orias is on a tight leash now, Levi's promise still hasn't changed, and our nobles learned more about him and us too.

CONCLUSION So for this event I give it a 9/10. One point off because Orias is being a little brat which kinda came off to me as in his big age, he was still acting like a child. Like yes, give him some grace because he was at that farm with Levi and had horrible stuff done to him and especially one that causes aging to where he may even die in another year or so and he's addicted to angel souls now and it makes him want more and more. I'm pretty sure I'm forgetting to highlight something...but I'mma be honest I'm running off fumes and I haven't slept at all SO if I do remember I'll just edit it in here. But but I hope you all enjoyed the heavy lore again, I really appreciate this that they're doing for the story because it's starting to kind of align with the main story kindish? And we get to see glimpses of how the devils are without MC around so I'm getting my piece of slice of life demon pie.

NOW though with the event done. I'm sure the next one crossing my fingers will be a Lucifer-centered one. maybe. Because they have told us before chapter updates would be every three months or so so that's a lot of waiting that I'm glad for because that means more time to beef up cards, unlock holy board stories, farm for materials. The best time for a f2p peep. btw these advanced candies are gonna fucking be the end of me, it's almost like I need to ONLY nab those during events because they get you at the end with those.

Favourite Character to Draw:

Arratniel

He’s this sort of alien from a different dimension who “governs” a town. He acts like the only normal one there, but he’s just as weird as everyone else. He’s just super pointy and fun to draw! I love drawing sharp characters. A nice balance of solid shapes, and fine detail.

Latest Character of Mine:

WICKEt The Wizard!!!

(Yes, his name is spelt correctly) Technically, he’s a DnD character, but he’s really fun to draw. Just a little goober who is entirely convinced that he is a very powerful wizard, and that he has killed every wizard in existence, but he is very wrong. He is also semi-illiterate, and therefore has learned the only four spells he knows, very incorrectly. He’s awful and I love him.

First Character I Made:

Mason

She is a Silent Protagonist from a story called MasonMaggedon. She talks eventually, but not until over half way through. She’s one of four roommates, the most responsible one, and is severely traumatised! I redesign her and her roommates every time I get a new sketchbook, but I ought to write for them again. Lots of secrets in her story, per all my stories, I suppose.

He goes around, carrying a computer he found plugged into his neck that he believes is important to keeping him functioning, trying to remember who he is and what happened. I planned for this to be a plat-former game, actually. That, or a mix of a bunch of different game styles. Just had a cool brainwave where he is in the same universe as that weird non-Newtonian zombie I made, so I guess it’s cannon for now. He’s fairly simple to draw (and one of the characters I’m scared of showcasing), it’s just all the little robot parts that are hard to keep track of. So. Many. Moving. Parts.

He doesn’t really have a story, per se, but he’s fun to draw. He’s a little 2D shape, and he’s got anxiety. There is a 3D version of him, but it looks a lot like how I draw myself, so I’m trying to workshop it. He’s all fragmented and such, and he’s super easy to draw, solely because he’s always changing shape. I can do whatever the hell I want with his character design, because thats’s part of his design! I’m so cheeky :]

so first off for the nondairy farms(enclosures?) they work as follows:

Members of them still perform at shows and are rented out for parties and private occasions the same and their added exotic factor from not being as common as the more domestic hybrids makes them more lucrative to do so with.

but as far as looks I've stated before that I imagine them being a little taller and more built, around 5 or 6 inches specifically, and they just have tails, ears, horns and a patch of fur on their back!

ok here r some character by character hcs for their looks as well as some other miscellaneous stuff

Riddle:

Soft white and red pelt, small horns.

Small and delicate looking he's actually rather hot headed and hard to work with, wish good luck to his handler they need it.

Doesn't do shows often but when he does he shows up and shows out.

Trey:

Thick dark green pelt, large horns

Not one to enjoy the spotlight and therefore doesn't participate in shows

Would rather spend his time in the kitchen and the fields or showing kids around when they have scheduled field trips coming up.

Like I said he enjoys working with kids when he has the chance and his brotherly personality makes him perfect for it.

Cater:

Shaggy ginger and white pelt, his horns are smaller than treys but still big.

Get's rented out often and looooves having his picture taken, he's very photogenic you know

Amazing temperament, maybe too lenient at times, you could tug his tail and not get much of a negative reaction.

Ace:

Short full ginger pelt, medium sized horns.

A bit of a trouble maker and hasn't had the chance to feature in any shows yet

Deuce:

Short white and deep blue-black pelt, medium horns.

Likes helping out the best he can but between me and you.. he's not that good at it.

Trey has him help collect eggs from the chicken coop from time to time.

He just wants to make everyone around him proud!

Kalim:

Stark white pelt, stubby horns.

Popular as far as rentals for parties go

He prioritizes fun over everything else which usually gets him caught up especially when it comes to real work.

Jamil:

Corse black pelt, medium large horns the tips of which are black too.

Him and Kalim come as a packaged deal so you can't have one without the other as far as shows and the like goes.

Vil:

long blonde pelt the tips of which are purple, elegantly curved horns.

To put it nicely; he's a cunt.

Does shows often and barely anything else unless it's extremely high profile.

His time and effort are expensive you know.

Rook:

blonde pelt that is meticulously trimmer(under Vils request), large horns.

He is an enigma in every sense of the word, hard to read but overly friendly

Strongly attached to his handler regardless of if they feel the same.

Epel:

Shaggy but short pale lavender pelt, very small horns(HE'S STILL GROWIN' OK)

The prissy image vil forces him uphold makes him sick but playing quiet and polite when he isn't breathing down his neck isn't too hard.

Idia:

Yes his pelt is made up of unnaturally blue flames too, larger horns but they just make him clumsy.

Sorry I love him but no idea why they keep him around he truly is good for nothing.

Ortho:

you remember those zoomer robot cats and dogs from a few years back? he's like one of those but bigger! and also a cow.

he's all shiny black blue and white plastic baby

good temperament I'd say, Just don't talk shit about his brother.

Malleus:

Deep green tinted black pelt, HUGE fully black curled horns.

Very busy with shows and events.

He's elusive and seen as scary and untouchable to most but really a big sweetie for the most part.

Lilia:

Sporadically trimmed black pelt that has pink streaks like his hair, cute small horns that he probably paints pink to match(I imagine their being like horn polish of some kind yk).

In a word; Silly.

He's great with kids and treats Malleus like a big toddler sometimes.

Sebek:

Uneven pale green pelt, medium large horns.

Never gets booked for shows or contests, not that he's undesirable or anything he just refuses to put himself in a position where he will be Malleus' competition.

SIlver:

Mid length silver-white pelt, small horns.

Has been in a show or two and found they're not for him.

Prefers helping out around the farms when he can.

- Gwen is so worried because she doesn’t want you to be hurt, even if the cat loves you she’s still worried for you.

- Miles is very confused on how you got the cat but after his confusion he’s immediately worried. Because that means you can be in danger and so will others

- Gwen definitely pet sits your cat the most just so she can make sure you aren’t being hurt, her and the cat have a very IFFY relationship
