Hello my dear! The answer to this is always of course, though I've been pinwheeling through different pairings and fandoms (though what else is new) because I haven't had a hyperfixation since Good Omens :(
I'll list a few from different recent fandoms. My bookmarks tend to be more mature or explicit ratings and longer fics because I love a good established dynamic
Mystrade (Mycroft Holmes x Greg Lestrade from BBC Sherlock)
I've been reading for these two since October now so there's definitely a few for them.
Paperback Writer by meansgirl
Rated E and totaling 82 265 words, this was an awesome fic where it's technically still canonverse only Greg is secretly an erotica author who just so happens to be Mycroft's favourite. So then of course Mycroft finds out.
Human Remains by Saziikins
This series lives in my head rent free and is so wonderful. It's canon compliant and a very slow burn of Mycroft and Greg getting together and then making a relationship work. Rated E, it's got 3 works in it and totals around 900k words, but the second work is a retelling of the first from Mycroft's POV instead of Greg's.
Pater Noster by manic_intent
Another rent free series, this one is Mystrade but set in the Good Omens universe where Mycroft is a high ranking demon and Greg a lower tier angel. So of course after being brought together a very human Sherlock, they fall in love. Eventually. I adored every bit of it, there's 3 works numbering at 26k words and it's so much fun.

Ah, my beloveds. I only listed three here but I have a ton of bookmarks saved for them that I am only too happy to share, should anyone need some recs
Not For All My Little Words by mia_ugly and soft_october
Rated E and about 8k words, this is set post season 2 and is Aziraphale and Crowley's reunion and apology.
you're not a religious person (but) by isozyme
Some snippets of Aziraphale and Crowley over the years. Historical fics for these two are some of my favorites and this fic takes us through some great moments to post season one. Super cute, rated M and nearly 20k words.
post-professional endeavors by darcylindbergh
A look at Aziraphale and Crowley figuring themselves out in retirement, as told from the POV of their poor realtor and other humans involved. I love outsider POV fics and this was top tier. Rated T and about 9k words, it was extremely cute.

If you're in the NBC Good Girls fandom you'll probably already know this author, because everything they write is phenomenal, but this fic was lovely. A friends to lovers AU for Beth and Rio that still kept the original characterizations, I can't recommend it enough. Rated E, about 77k words.
Curse of the Green Hag by Moorishflower
A Xedgin fic for DND: Honour Among Thieves. It's a fuck or die curse fic with just enough plot for me to be invested. Edgin is great, Xenk is great, and the smut is great. Enough said. Rated E, 16k+ words.
The Veretian Flytrap by Just_Another_Day
A Dament fic for the Captive Prince fandom, this fic is a great twist on the canon story if Damen and Laurent were an Alpha/Omega pairing. Super in character and has all the greatness of the trilogy itself, I loved it. Rated E (obviously) and is 176k+ words.

PSA: GatheringFiKi is back!
Hello, my favourite people!
If you've been with us for some time, following the mis-adventures of this little, but mighty fandom, or perhaps even taking part in them from time to time, you'll be delighted to hear that we are now in a position to resume normal service.
If you're joining us just now and wondering what on earth is going on - welcome! We are a small community focussed around the Fili/Kili pairing (and other fictional pairings fortrayed by Dean and Aidan), which has always traditionally ran frequent events to generate new content and encourage fan interactions.
Our activity was kinda suspended a year ago when our admin, @linane-art scampered off to travel the world for a year.
I have no idea why I'm writing this in 3rd person. Ahem, anyway - I'm back. And here's what I'd like to do with GatheringFiKi:
Firstly, I'd like to figure out how many content creators we actually have at the moment, since these folks are my audience. So if you are currently actively writing / creating artwork or edits in the Fili/Kili fandom, or plan on doing so in the near future, please REPLY TO THIS POST. Please also feel free to forward it to anyone who might want to respond.
Whatever else happens, there will be a 12 Days of Christmas event happening in 2023! I have no idea how many photosets I will actually be able to make before mid-November, but I'm aiming for at least a couple. It's such a highlight of every Christmas for me, I can't wait!
There may or may not also be some little prompts posted for Halloween this year. This would be about a week before the 31st, a very informal little event.
Whatever else happens, from now on, I would like to see GF becaome an amplifier for any and all new Fili/Kili content. Updates to your existing fics, new fics, artwork, edits, photosets, and not just the things 'worthy of recs'. ANY new Fili/Kili content - please submit or send us a link and we will re-blog, so it reaches more folks.
If we still have a decent number of creators, we will go back to running events. The plan would be to run a survery before the end of 2023 for you to pick your favourite events and run 3-4 of those accross 2024.
If we don't have creators, I will focus on delivering only the 12 Days of Christmas event annually and promoting any new FiKi content as above, based on the assumption that we're all reverting to focussing on our own works and posting them unprompted.

Dust and Devils on my Conscience
After his father takes over an oil drilling company in the desert, Paul decides to join his parents in between two semesters at university, looking forward to a summer of wandering the desert with his mother, chatting with a girl he's met online, and pining over his father's fixer. He hadn't quite planned for the worm activists, or the acts of industrial sabotage.
10/10 chapters completed. 43k words. Rated E. Modern AU.
Venus as a Boy
Duncan lay down next to Paul, causing him to prickle all over his whole body. He smelled like soldier's soap, pulverized rock, sun protectant. Soothescent. Also, perceptibly, like spice.
“I’m going to kiss you, so you can taste me,” he said.
“Alright,” Paul croaked, which really meant: please.

Bloody and Raw (but I swear it is sweet)

or, the colloquial "spiceblood" AU featuring vampiric Bene Gesserit tendencies, far too many religious references, and Duncan and Paul perpetually disagreeing about which one of them is supposed to be taking care of the other.

a few! but i could definitely do with more so if anyone’s reading this, please feel free to send me some recs too! but these are some of my favorites that i’ve found so far.
regrets only by c_r_roberts: katniss falls in love with peeta while engaged to gale and has to choose between them. admittedly, another weakness of mine are fics where katniss has emotionally torrid affairs with peeta. probably because i think gale’s an asshole so i don’t feel as morally conflicted about it LMAO
hero of the story by atetheredmind: one of my fav everlark fics in general. peeta and katniss have an affair while married to other people years after their last reaping.
on the threshold by ghtlovesthg: katniss and peeta strike up a friendship after their last reaping. unfinished but fucking adorable. i love this fic so much.
p.r.i.m: pranks resulting in matrimony by ghtlovesthg: a similar premise to the last fic but through the pov of prim and much more light-hearted. i love the way this author writes katniss in love. it’s very true to canon but also so endearing.

i drafted a bunch of new stuff to put a pause between all the old self reblogs, my brain is kind of not fully there in terms of making new edits (i have some things downloaded but lmao) i assume because the last presidential elections in my country just threw me in a depression i don't know that man is about to fuck our economy so bad lmao plus the redbubble thing has also been pissing me off, it's a lot, anyway! they're also a bunch of new designers and brands that i found through instagram, so that should be fun, i don't like always having the same stuff over and over and i know a lot of yall use this blog for art references or to sew your own version of whatever i post or for inspiration so hopefully new designers/brands helps with that too. i've been trying to find designers/brands that use more diverse body types as models too, so if anyone has any recs feel free to send them! if you like what i post, please reblog the posts, don't just like them, posts don't spread on this website if you just like them. please reblog. thank you i love you. thanks for all the support! 💖

Pairing: Nikita Zadorov x Reader
Summary: After a little rain comes sun... And thunder. Thunder in the form of a six foot five Russian defenseman.
Word Count: 1389
Warnings: Shitty Bruins fans, harassment, some puck bunny comments, borderline sexual harassment, but also hinted sexual stuff at the end!
A/N: I love Zadorov and there is NOTHING on him anywhere. He's so cute as well. Easily the best dressed player in the league. Have you seen him in those suits... WOW. THE MASTERLIST JOIN THE TAGLIST HOCKEY DISCORD
You, adorning your Zadorov jersey, shuffled along the rows of the Saddledome. You had a glass ticket that was next to the penalty box for the Flames. But for now, it was time to watch their warm-ups like many of the other fans. Around you was a large group of older Boston Bruins fans already in their seats. The way they were eyeing you made you nervous. The Flames players skated out for warm-ups skating past where she now stood.
“What are you? Some kinda puck bunny?” Someone questioned from behind you. At first, you weren’t paying attention, but a tug on the back of your jersey pulled your eyes away from warm-ups. “Hey Zadorov slut.”
You turned to them after them tugging hard enough to cause you to stumble back into the seat behind you. “I’m just a fan, can you please stop?”
“What’s the accent, huh, sweetheart?” One of the other older guys questioned.
“Leave me alone please.”
The grey-haired guy wouldn’t let go of the sleeve of your jersey. Even though you struggled and pulled. The last thing you wanted to do was ruin the brand new Zadorov jersey. No-one around them was coming to your aid. You looked around, hoping someone would help you cause it was like he wasn’t stopping. A loud sound from behind you startled them. The guys doing the harassing looked past you. You turned to see the 6’5” Nikita Zadorov standing against the glass glaring at the group.
“Don’t touch her,” He shouted, slamming his fist against the glass.
They seemed to listen to the Flames defensemen because they didn’t speak to you for the rest of the warmups. At the end of the 15 minutes, Zadorov came over with a puck in his glove. He smiled and pointed to you. He chucked it over the glass. You flipped the cold puck over in your hand, the Flames logo staring up at you. The kids nearby got excited but were sad when you caught the puck. One thing you hated was seeing the sad kids and there was one girl that stood in front of you that was also wearing a Zadorov jersey.
“Here you go sweetheart,” You smiled, passing her the puck.
The young girl got so excited jumping up and down and holding it out to show her parents standing nearby. You smiled and laughed as the kids were all bouncing at seeing a Flames puck up close. By the time you looked up from the kids, the team had skated off the ice and back to the changerooms.
“Thank you for that,” A woman’s voice spoke up.
You smiled at the girl’s mother. “It’s all good.”
Everyone started moving to their seats after warm-ups ended. After buying a coke from one of the food stands, you moved to the opposite side of the arena and found your glass seat. Right next to the penalty box. You watched on as the stadium filled with fans becoming the ‘Sea of Red’. Something that was exciting to witness for yourself. It wasn’t long before the teams returned to the ice ready for puck drop. You were ready to watch the Flames win.
Marchand knocked into Markstrom making the ref call goalie interference. But that wasn’t enough. You watched as Zadorov skated to drop the gloves with Marchand. 6’5” vs 5’9”. Not exactly fair but that didn’t matter to a defensemen protecting his team. He screamed something in the Bruin rat’s face as he shoved him away from the crease.
“Get him!” the guy beside you shouted.
The ref stopped and sent them both to the sin bin. You watched as Zadorov skated to the one right beside you. He was pissed off and helmetless from the fight. He looked… sweaty. And sexy. He caught your eye and smirked at you. Whether he remembered you from before the game or not didn’t matter.
Calgary came onto the ice, waving thank you to the fans still in the crowd. The final score was 5 to 3 with Flames winning. Each player had something they were throwing to the fans. Some had pucks, t-shirts or hats. Many kids were back down against the glass but you just stood at your seat. Making sure to take pictures before you leave.
Zadorov spotted you in the crowd once more. Paying no mind to the people around you. He grabbed a puck and skated across the ice. Standing before you, he held up the puck once more and made sure you knew to keep it. After you nodded he flicked it over the glass.
You flipped the puck over in your palm again. Just like before the game. This time, on the other side of the puck, was an instagram handle. One that you didn’t recognise written in silver marker.
“Me?”
Zadorov smirked and nodded. Tyler Toffoli bumped into him, the pair sharing a laugh. The other members of the team were heading off the ice. Zadorov sent you one more smile before the pair left the ice. You sat back down, knowing the three stars were yet to be announced. While you waited, you pulled out your phone and opened instagram. You searched the handle and a simple account popped up. A private account to be precise. As you requested to follow him, the announcers started the star presentation. Toffoli, Zadorov and Lucic were the three stars of the game which was awesome to witness.
You followed people out of the Saddledome and continued your path down the street into the city where you occasionally went for post-game drinks. After a win like tonight, it seemed like many people had the same idea as you. You ordered your drink and found an empty table to perch yourself at. People watching was the entertainment for the night. Drunk girls dancing like nobody was watching. When in reality everyone was watching them twerk. Guys arguing over something stupid. It was like most of your solo nights out at the bar.
“Well I didn’t think I’d see you out tonight,” A voice spoke up over the music. It was the certain Russian accent you’ve heard only in interviews.
The seat across from you was pulled out and Zadorov settled himself into it. Over the music the hollers of his already tipsy teammates could be heard. If either of you looked in the back corner of the bar, his friends were posted up. All celebrating tonight’s win against the Bruins.
“Well I decided to stop by on my way back to my place,” You respond.
Zadorov holds out his hand, “Nikita.”
You slipped your hand into his and shook it, yelling your name over the music. “So, Z…”
“A nickname already?”
“There are like 5 other Nikita’s in the NHL,” You state, “I need to differentiate them all.”
The smirk that came across the Russian’s face should have been illegal. “Yet, my name is the one on show across your back.”
“Is that how it’s gonna be?”
Zadorov chuckled, “It’s definitely a sight for sore eyes. A sexy woman wearing your jersey… It’s something most men dream of.”
Two drinks were placed on the table between the pair of you. Both looked up to see Toffoli already retreating back to the corner. Upon closer inspection, they had gotten your order correct. Zadorov was drinking what looked like stereotypical Vodka but anything was possible. Knowing athletes, a majority don’t like to drink during the season.
“Well…” You smirk, “I originally wanted Tkachuk’s jersey but he was traded to Florida before I could buy it. Don’t you think it would have looked good on me?”
Upon hearing your words, Zadorov slid his hand up behind your neck. Gently pulling you closer over the table so he could whisper into your ear. “How about we go back to yours and I’ll make it so the only name you say is the one across your back?”
“Hm… Try me,” I retort, sending him a sly smile.
“Let’s get going shall we.”
“Sure thing Tkachuk replacement.”
On the way out of the bar, once out of curious eyes, Zadorov pulled you close and hand settled on your ass. Giving it a squeeze. “Just you wait baby. The only thing you’ll be wearing is my jersey as I make you forget everything but my name.”

Thanks for the self-rec asks! I'm feeling very...not into my own ao3 right now so INSTEAD i'm going to send the asks on and tell you five things (in no particular order) that i've been thinking about this week <3
ONE: Swimming - I NEED TO FINISH THE SWIM FIC AKA THIS AMAZING WORK BY @carlos-in-glasses. I started reading and then I went overseas and I felt like I didn't have the time to go through and scream line by line and I'm so excited to dive back in (hehe see what I did there) now that it's finished!
TWO: State parks and secret service agents - not necessarily together, but I've been lowkey dreaming of obtaining my own slightly insane-looking garden gnome and a stock tank for a while thanks to the beautiful fic created by @iboatedhere (I don't have a pool and a stock tank seems like a good option right now). Also the secret service AU snippets are life giving (recent one here).
THREE: Guaranteeing nothing - screamed (literally) my way through the first fourteen chapters of Never a Guarantee and now I need to finish it!!!! @clottedcreamfudge and her writing make me so fucking feral in the best way and this fic is no exception. I had much fear about my sanity going into this because I knew it was going to drive me wild but my crops have been watered and I eagerly await completion of the arcs.
FOUR: Mythical things (aka. a dearly beloved universe) - to be fair, I'm not sure I ever stopped thinking about Jen's masterpiece - as if you were a mythical thing - because it lives rent free in my head (genuinely one of my favourite fics ever). I'm thinking about it a lot more now that @strandnreyes has put the idea of writing a sequel in my head (snippet is here). A re read is in my sights and I'm very excited about it! If you haven't read it, you absolutely have to.
FIVE: TK and Carlos getting unprofessional - @rmd-writes and I have been playing around in this document for ages, co-writing something so silly it borders on crack and it's the most fun I've had writing fic in ages (thank you to @celeritas2997 for putting up with us lol). Everything I do by myself seems so hard right now but this feels so easy and (I think it's fair to say) it's almost done? 1 and a little bit more chapters? I'm EXCITE. You can read the most recent snippets of the fic colloquially known as "(un)profesh" here (rmd) and here (me).
ALSO to anyone who has shared a doc link with me - I promise I am also thinking very hard about those and will give them the time and attention they deserve when I get home! I never know whether people like me specifically mentioning those types of things so I'll just like...sit down but please know i'm thinking of you and sorry that I haven't been around much!

thank you so much for saying so! :) oh sure! i think many of us get quite tired writing series but there are lots of really good ones out there. ones that spring to mind are:
-anything that jade (@luveline) does ('have you seen her' and 'so fine so pretty' are both quite long fics that are kind of like a part 1 and 2, but also she has lots of drabbles that build ongoing stories like her zombie!au one).
- emmy (@upsidedownwithsteve) also has some really great long fics like 'she drives me crazy' (summer camp au) and 'we tried the world' (road trip au)
-not a series, but is long, is 'nine facts, one lie,' by ruby (@stevebabey). delightful and long enough to sink your teeth into!
i am quite bad at reading series as i often forget to check back for multiple parts! so if anyone has recs, please reply to this ask with them for this lovely anon! and as always, feel free to send me recs, too :)

do you happen to have any recs for blogs that post a lot about reading???? sending this ask to you because you're the only blog i follow that mostly talks about books lol and i think it'd be nice to see more book related stuff
If you mean blogs that talk about a variety of books and reading in general, I don't know that there are many I can recommend; most of the people I follow (which isn't many) are fandom specific. Two I can think of, @morhath and @annabethisterrified, post about reading fairly regularly, including a variety of books instead of one fandom specific.
But otherwise, looking through tags of specific books I've enjoyed and finding people who post about them can lead me to people who read in general. Since if they read one thing, odds are they've read more. Which is rather intuitive, but it's true of how I find people
Looking through tags like "bookblr" and "bookworm" may also lead you to some people--though there will also be a fair bit of aesthetic people in tags like those usually, so depends on what you're looking for. You can also check those posts from other tags people use, and figure out which ones have the kinds of people and posts you want to find
Branching out and finding more book-in-general related blogs is actually something I'd like to work on myself--don't worry mutuals, I mean to do so alongside my current posting, not to replace it. I'm not going anywhere
I wish I could be more help with this, but hopefully this is a start! If anyone else has any others, please feel free to add them :)

Fjord tries to impress Caduceus with a home cooked dinner on their first date, but quickly has to realise that more often then not, things do not go as planned. And as it turns out, almost setting his kitchen on fire is not the worst part of the evening. Or is it?
Reccer says: It's a cute story about getting over an embarrassing situation and meeting people where they are.
