Almost there!!!
One of the very last updates I'll be posting when it comes to my project. So far I have all my interviews and images (sadly there are no videos or archival footage of Waialua, so my best bet will just be with the photos)
Unfortunately, just as I was about to start piecing all of this together, I got sick :(
However, I am better now and will be piecing it together tonight and tomorrow and hopefully sending it in later that same day. Thanks for following me on this journey; it's been a rough but eye-opening experience.

Content is not an emotion talked about enough.
It isn’t always about the small smile on the main character’s face at the end of the movie, staring out at the sea. Children playing in the background as her not-so-subtlely-handsome husband comes up from behind, placing his hands around her waist, nuzzling into her neck.
It isn’t always sitting on the front porch steps of the childhood house that turned out to be home after his parents tragic passing. Grass waltzing in the wind while a wind chime made by him and his mother plays a song he knows all too well.
Sometimes. Sometimes it’s realizing you’re no longer in a constant state of fear. That your heart rate has settled back to normal and doesn’t jump at the slightest sound.
Sometimes. It’s noticing the absence of the intrusive thoughts that trickle into the back of your mind at the most random of moments.
Sometimes. It’s understanding that while things aren’t perfect, they are better after three years of manic and depression.
Other times, it’s in the heavy feeling your body gets after a long day of activity.
Other times, it’s in the way your bones are weary, but your mind is not.
Content is not an emotion talked about enough. It is the absence of melancholy, but not the presence of elatedness. It is not so bad a place to be.
