BSD Chapter 108

In the narrow room - Part 4

Finally a longer chapter, and it was such a roller coaster!!! Now I don't know what is true anymore and I can't wait to see what will happen next.

Please note that neither my English nor Japanese is perfect. Please let me know if you find any mistake!

SPOILERS AHEAD

Sigma shows the piece of paper he picked up earler (that has the word "Help!" written in Russian) to Fyodor and asks him if he is the one who wrote it. Upon seeing the piece of paper, Fyodor has a breakdown. He starts screaming and keeps saying "Help me! Help me" in Russian. When he finally calms down, his experession changes and he looks like another person. He asks Sigma what year it is.

Atsushi is fighting Akutagawa. He keeps calling to Akutagawa, saying that he knows Akutagawa is still there. Because he didn't kill Aya, and Atsushi knows that it is because of their promise. He tells Akutagawa that the 6-month limit has not been over yet so it is not yet time for them to fight each other. Akutagawa doesn't seem to listen and keep fighting him, forcing Atsushi to launch a counter attack. But when he is about to his Akutagawa's face, he stops himself because he thinks he is gonna kill Aku with the tiger strength if he is not protected by Rashomon. Akutagawa takes the chance and catches Atsushi by his arm and leg by rashomon.

Atsushi shouts to Akutagawa to wake up, reminding him that he wants to become stronger. He says that the real strength is not when you compare it with each other, but it is the strength to face with your own self, and that is the "real strength" that Dazai is looking for. Upon hearing that, Akutagawa has some reaction, and Atsushi thought it has worked. However, Akutagawa goes a head and rips Atsushi's arm and leg off. (Bram is seen watching that while saying 'He is not that naive')

Back to Sigma and Fyodor, the "new" Fyodor tells Sigma that the Fyodor that Sigma knows is the bad guy, and that he can not stop "him". But he can see hope in Sigma so he takes out a knife and asks Sigma to take it. He says it is the "Sword Kladenets", and it may look like a normal dagger, but it is similar to the holy swords and is the only thing that can kill "the one that is his ability". He holds it out to Sigma while saying sorry because the bad Fyodor is the one born out of his weakenesses, and that he has let his own abiliity take over him.

Sigma lowers the knife bun and reaches out to take the dagger, but when he gets closer, Fyodor turns back and stab him with the same knife, saying 'Just kidding'. Fyodor then tells Sigma that it is just an act to get Sigma to lower the knife. And that multi personality act is so cliche, but it can make people lower their guard, and that the dagger is no more than a normal life he took from the guard.

Fyodor asks Sigma if it is painful. Because if he becomes an agency member, that pain will keep coming to him as the agency is Fyodor's enemy. He then asks Sigma if he still wants to become a member of ADA despite all of that. Sigma tries to get his gun back but his move is all read by Fyodor. Fyodor then tells Sigma that now that he knows how determined Sigma is, he will let Sigma touch him and read whatever he wants to read, if Sigma has that courage to do so.

Fukuchi is on the call with the Secretary in the government, who has no option now but to tell him how to unlock One Order. The Secretary questions Fukuchi about his action, and tells Fukuchi that he will have to throw away all the Fukuchi fan merchs he has at home now (TN: Sorry it is so funny I have to include it xDD). Fukuchi tells him to just do that and finally opens One Order.

Aya and Bram sees a bright light from the tower when One Order is unlocked and Bram says there is just secondds until the world burns.

No one likes syringes!

Summary : You gotta take your weekly syringe but you're afraid of needles so how can these mfs (Dazai, Kunikida, Atsushi, Aku, Chuuya) convince you to take it 🤷

Genre : bit cracky and fluff, prob lots of teasing bc u know who tf im talking about 💀

Warnings : heartattacks bc we all simp too hard for these men 🛐 maybe a bit of suggestive themes at the end

A/N : managed to inject myself for the first time (aint no drugs, need them bc HEALTH) and bro, my hands r still shaky bc fear 😭 how do ppl do this so easily 💀 also the syringe is like a pen (also for this story) but broo its still scary and i need some bsd character comforting me 😩✋✋

Dazai Osamu

Lets say yall live together and hes at work while u r home alone

cant bring yourself to do it alone bc bro syringes are scary (even if its just a pen bc NEEDLES BRO) 😩😭

So you text him and ask what hes doing and tell him if hes got time to come home asap bc we r nearly crying at this point

hes gonna be SO ANNOYING like "i was just waiting for a text from you~ dont worry, your knight in shining armor will save you"

BROO he prob knew that you gotta take them today and also knew that nothing would be going on at the agency so he couldve stayed at home but nah 😭😭 (sadistic a** fr fr)

but hes still hurrying nonetheless bc hes not that MEAN -right???-

arrives at home and finds you on the couch holding the pen with shaky hands and his heart does feel a TAD bit guilty bc fr he couldve stayed at home and u would have gotten this shit over asap

gon be all like "dw im here now, okay? Lets just get this over with and then we'll cuddle, how about that?"

homegirl is about to cry at this point bc just FREE HER from this misery

sits next down to you and takes the pen from your hands

If you do wanna try it out yourself, he'll gently guide you through it

He knows how afraid you are and teasing would just make you sob instantly bc the pressure is already too much to deal with YEAH U BETTER STFU U TEASE !! jk still love him

will try to change your mind tho by sayinf stuff like "Really? ~ i mean its brave and good of you to try it yourself but I really love helping you, you know. Want to do everything for you, darling." he knows EXACTLY what hes doing to us by saying that

gives you a kiss on the lips and just deepens it while looking STRAIGHT into your eyes got my knees weak for him fr

you only feel a tiny sting and as soon as a "click" is heard, he'll break the kiss and just grins at you as if he didnt trick you lol

but who are you to complain, he sees that you liked it and will def comment on that

"see, love? Wasn't so hard after all. But you still did well. Proud of you as always"

pecks you on the lips again before setting the pen onto the table and wraps his arms around your waist bc NO WAY in hell is he gonna let go after that

u can understand why kunikida has to SIGH all the time as soon as dazai opens his mouth but oh well, you're too whipped to care about at this point

wont let you go so guess you'll have to reward him 💅 no ones complaining LOL

if you tell him to help you next time before hes gone for work, he'll def do it bc he loves u but poor kunikida gotta expect him arrive at work late more often bc he wont leave home without rewards 🛐

You already know that he got the exact day, hour, minute and SECOND written down on when you gotta take your pen

You tell him that the day is enough and that the time doesnt matter but NOO 😤 YOU WILL take it at the exact time

If its at ungodly hours like 3am or smth, bro he'll wake you up like no mercy for his schedule 😭

If u complain to him tho then dw he will rearrange it for u bc he may love to stick to his plans but he wont ignore your needs and stuff either get urself a man who takes care of u like that 😤😤

will prefer to do it before work, so if you're not an early bird then he'll wake u up but dw you'll get a forehead kiss and bro's already fully dressed n' stuff BUT waking up to him looking at you with such a loving gaze will make u forget that its 5-6am or smth 😩

will first let you get up in peace and make u some calming tea bc he knows what will come next ✋

"Y/N, I know you don't like it but you have to take your pen today, okay?"

if we start a tanthrum then he already knows about it like bro's prepared for everything!!

"Kuni, do we really ha-" "Yes." "But you know I dont li-" "Yes and yes. I know you hate it but don't worry, I've already written everything down on how to do it and what to be aware of so its okay to feel afraid but don't worry because I'm here. Nothing will happen and I've already bought your favorite snacks so you'll feel better but dont eat too much of it when I'm gone. "

u already know he spent a night or smth just researching everything about it as soon as you told him

prob even went to a library and once came back home with multiple books in his hands, hes THAT dedicated UGH I LOVE HIM 💕

If the pen is kept in a fridge then dw he already put that shit out for it to not be cold anymore (prob counted the minutes and seconds LOL)

he'll sit you down on the bed or couch, disinfect the place on where you'll take it (lol that sounds WRONG) and he'll give you a peck on your forehead before asking if you're alright and ready to go through with it bc no way in hell is he gonna do it while you're too shaken up for it

If you wanna try to do it alone then he'll take your hand into his as you're grabbing the pen, slowly guiding it while praising you for how brave you are for trying this and that hes proud of you IM SOBBING

will also tell you to look at him if you get more afraid by seeing it on your skin

Honestly even if you dont wanna do it yourself, he'll make sure to be there and will praise you every time you get through with it bc you KNOW he means it

Honestly makes you tear up everytime and u just wanna kiss this man fr

you thank him and tell him how glad you are to have him, he'll be smitten even more than he already is

Cup his face with your hands and kiss him bro's gonna find it really difficult to not stay at home and just be in your arms

at the end of the day, his love for you exceeds his ideals so he wouldnt mind arriving at work some minutes later if he gets to have you in his arms for a bit longer

Will arrive at work with such a good mood that hes prob gonna freak dazai out with it especially when he overlooks some dumb remarks from him the power of love YALL but who can blame him, his heart is thumping louder than dazai's rambling LOL

maybe yall will continue when hes back home, who knows 🛐🛐🛐🛐🛐

when you told him about the pen for the first time, he was literally thrown off like "wait, so you have to.... stab yourself regularly with that?????"

hes just SO precious bc his heart's squeezing at you asking him if he could help u bc you just feel so comfortable and just knowing that makes him SWOON

But at the same time hes panicking bc HOW CAN HE DO THAT WITHOUT HURTING U

as soon as yall hear a click, he quietly counts to three before pulling it out and BROO the relief is refreshing af

"WE DID IT, Y/N!!!" Is hella giddy bc how can he not be proud of the both of you!!!! You did it!!! will honestly pull you in a hug bc hes just so happy

prob gonna realise that he just did it without asking u and will be sheepish all like "o-oh sorry, i just got too excited" "no tsushi. We should be happy about this so dont let go!!" no need to say it twice bc hes gonna wrap his arms even tighter around you and nuzzle his face into the crook of your neck ILL GIVE U A KISS TSUSHI 🛐🛐

will he feel bad for arriving at work a bit later? Maybe but a scolding from kunikida wont hold him back from holding you for a tad bit longer

He'll be a bit less nervous for the next times and it will surely decrease with each time bc practice yk but will obviously still hold you until he made sure that you're feeling okay afterwards

Honestly its gonna be a mix of every reaction possible I think

Like if you tell him about the pen, hes first gonna feel a bit pressured like "O-Oh wait so you want ME to help with it??"

Like no offense hes obviously feeling pretty happy about that you are asking him for help especially for smth important as your health

But he knows hes not the most gentle person and does have his worries that he might accidentally hurt you or smth

wont ask anyone for advice bc its his love of his life can i be that pls that asked HIM so he'll do it at the end of the day!!

but if hes feeling rly unsure then he wont mind slipping a question about it when hes reporting to mori

For the lemonade thingy, may I please do watermelon and "going to the beach"? For the fandom, I was thinking Bungo Stray Dogs! My initial plan was to ask for Atsushi and Akutagawa, but considering you mentioned getting burnt out on them, may I ask for Dazai and Kunikida if you do get burnt out?

“Tell me you’re not wearing that coat on the beach, Ryu.”

“You know I am.”

Atsushi did know, and despite how out of place he knew it would make his boyfriend look, he understood why he insisted on wearing it. They’d be in a public place, surrounded by potential threats. He needed – wanted – to have it on him.

“All right,” the weretiger conceded, putting his prepacked beach bag by the door and turning to face his partner with a small smile. “But before we go out there and you roast alive inside that thing…can I at least see you shirtless in here?”

Akutagawa paused. He considered for a long few moments, then slowly shrugged out of his black overcoat and draped it gently across the bed. Thin white fingers moved to the top button of his shirt, sliding to each next one slower than the last. By the time he’d reached the last two, he’d stopped entirely, visibly torn.

“Weretiger…”

“It’s okay,” Atsushi said hurriedly, moving to stand in front of him, wrapping his arms around his partner’s waist. “You don’t have to. I’m impressed you got that far, actually.”

Akutagawa seemed to relax, relieved he wasn’t being pressured into taking a step he wasn’t entirely ready for. “One day,” he promised.

“I know,” Atsushi murmured, kissing his cheek. “Don’t rush yourself, all right? Only when you’re ready, Ryu.”

Akutagawa kissed him to show his gratitude, wrapping his arms around Atsushi’s shoulders.

Atsushi kissed him back for a minute, then pulled away and grinned. “You know, you did get most of the shirt unbuttoned.”

“I did.”

“Which means you’ve given me access to most of your upper body.”

“…weretiger?”

Atsushi slipped his fingers into Akutagawa’s open shirt, gently scribbling along his upper ribs, fully prepared for the struggling that would follow. He giggled along with his boyfriend as they collapsed onto the bed together, Atsushi on top, tickling easily and ruthlessly as Aku grunted and whimpered and essentially did everything in his power not to laugh.

“Come on, Ryu,” Atsushi teased softly, grasping his wrists and pushing them above his head when he tried to fight back, his free hand shifting into a half-tiger form with long, unbearably ticklish claws. He raked them gently along his boyfriend’s skin, but it was enough to make Akutagawa very nearly scream as he finally dissolved into raspy laughter.

“Gahahahahahahahaha! Stohohohohohohohop, weretihihihihihiger!” he cried, face lit up in a bright smile despite himself. He struggled uselessly, though it was clear he wasn’t uncomfortable with the situation. Just caught off-guard. “I hahahahahahahahate you!”

“I just want to see you smile,” Atsushi cooed, purposely digging his claws in a little rougher, searching for the ultimate weak spots along the backs of Akutagawa’s ribs, enjoying how his struggling turned more frantic, his laughter more panicked.

“Nohohohohoho, no! Dohohohohon’t – not thahahahahahat spot, plehehehehehehease, weretiger!” Akutagawa begged, eyes alight with something akin to playfulness. Then his partner found the sweet spot, and he arched his back and screeched, “NOHOHOHOHOHO!! AHAHAHAHAHAHAHA FUHUHUHUHUHUCK, STOHOHOHOHOHOHOP IT!!”

Atsushi smiled lovingly down at him as he writhed and cackled. “But I’m not going to get to do this all day. I want to get my fill now, Ryuunosuke~” He whispered the last word directly in his boyfriend’s ear, knowing it would make him go crazy.

Sure enough, Akutagawa howled with mirth, kicking uselessly and trying to squirm out of Atsushi’s grip, his adorable dimples finally making their appearance. “PLEHEHEHEHEHEHEASE, ATSUSHI!! ANYWHEHEHEHEHEHEHERE BUT THEHEHEHEHEHEHERE!!”

Atsushi eventually moved on to tickle other spots, but not before he leaned down to soak up all of Akutagawa’s rare, crazed laughter with a passionate kiss.

sure thing!

☆you had been working on a mission that mori has sent you on. little did you know, mori knew you were going to get hurt, he doesn't exactly care if an underling get hurts

☆you were sent alone, of course, and it ended with you getting too close to an explosion (as that seems to be a reoccurring theme in bsd)

☆you got lucky as the area you were in wasn't too far from emergency services and they immediately jumped into action, so you got to the hospital before you could bleed to death

☆i would like to think that this mf never answers his phone if he doesn't recognize the number, so it was either gin, chuuya, or the bastard of a boss that told him the news

☆he managed to keep his composure in front of them?? expect if it was gin that told him, then his panic attack would be very obvious

☆he wanted to rush to the hospital, but oh look at that. he's a public criminal... he can't go anywhere near the hospital

☆so he asked gin to go in his place, of course he would only trust his little sister with that. she gets the information she needs from the doctors, but she doesn't visit you for too long. surprise surprise, she cared about you too. like a lot, so it hurt to not only see her brother in such a state of panic, but it hurt to see just how injured you got

☆that's how it went every single day. akutagawa would ask gin to go pay you a visit, hoping that you would be awake

☆during this time, he started taking care of himself less. typically that wouldn't mean much, but you had actually convinced him to start taking care of himself more. now that you weren't around to make sure he was doing that, he fell back into his old habits of just not taking care of himself

☆gin and chuuya tried their hardest to make sure that he was at least eating 2 meals a day. gin would quite literally drag her brother and basically throw him in the shower once a week

☆this poor baby had finally found a reason to take care of himself, to start seeing the good in some people, to stop putting himself in as dangerous situations as before, and now it's been ripped away from him

☆hell, dazai probably even noticed that akutagawa wasn't fighting atsushi for his approval as much

☆and queue a lot of peoples confusion when he suddenly started attacking atsushi again dont let atsushi find out why, he may accidentally use it against him during an agrument

☆it was gin who got the call that you had finally woken up after being in a coma for a year. of course, aku still couldn't visit you, so she went in the check on you... basically see if you can handle if aku decides to break into the fucking hospital to see you

☆thankfully he doesn't. but he really wants to, but he knows that you wouldn't be too pleased with him if he did that, so he exploded something to get that urge away.

☆he is probably going to get more violent in this time, he has no way of contacting you (cause they don't allow phones in the hospital) and has to depend on someone else to know if you stay awake

☆and finally, after (insert set amount time here, i have no idea how long hospitals keep you after you wake up from a coma) you were finally released. while you were mainly stuck to a wheelchair because your muscles are too weak to carry your weight, you made sure that you could at least stand with only one crutch so you would hug your boy

☆you and gin decided to make it a surprise for aku. and man, did it work. if it wasn't for the fact that you were leaning on one crutch, and the wheelchair behind you, he would have thrown himself at you

☆instead, he 'calmly' walks over to you, lays his head on your shoulder, and just starts crying. gin was nice enough to give you two some privacy, please hold this boy to the best of your abilities. he has missed you so much

☆now, if he's under the impression that you went willingly, expect him to lecture you. he listens to you though, so simply tell him that mori made you go and gave you no warnings

☆it's not like you have to worry about the people that attacked you though, they died in an... accident about two days after you were sent to the hospital :]

☆surprisingly, he is willing to help you with physical therapy! but you are going to have to explain why you are having to do each exercise. it's not that he doesn't trust the doctors, instead he is curious about how these will help you. it's a learning process for the both of you, how cute!

☆possessive. anyone even looks at you wrong now and he threatens to kill them. he will go against moris orders if it means that you are no longer going on any mission he deems dangerous.

☆i feel like he'd also freak out anytime you got hurt. if it was a small papercut, he wouldn't freak out, but you fell because you're leg gave out on you??? roshomon is now carrying you for the rest of the day.

HELLO TY FOR THIS ASK

i have so fucking many aus so i'll ramble about a few

my latest one takes inspiration from this post and it's basically, dazai takes in atsushi and the akutagawa siblings, but realizing he can't really find a job to support all of them at once, he decides to go and (try to) reopen odasaku's favorite curry place. there are a few issues.

he is Not a great cook

atsushi can only make chazuke

aku and gin don't know how to cook

the place is kind of a mess

so eventually he goes and calls up chuuya and he's like "hey, you know how to cook, can you help me" problem is, chuuya's pissed at him bc THIS is when he calls him again and it's not an explanation of why he left, not a "sorry for blowing up ur car", not any of that, it's just another favor. so his immediate response is "fuck you, no" and dazai has to nag him into coming and helping, this being via taking some random pm member for hostage and specifically requesting that chuuya come pick him up

chuuya does indeed arrive, but he also breaks dazai's nose, so dazai ends up vaguely explaining with an ice pack on his face lmfao. this bit is what i have planned most vividly and is hopefully? gonna be a fic i publish. but also, later, ranpo ends up at the curry place and is like "damn you live like this" and dazai replies just kinda, "either order or get out" but ranpo offers him a better job (that being working at the ada), and while he hesitantly agrees, it's only a part time thing for the first bit. also although i haven't decided yet i think he might also end up finding kyouka before the pm gets to her and tachihara before the hunting dogs find him bc i am weak to 1. found family 2. BIG found families.

chuuya is absolutely fucking baffled when he runs into dazai during an ada job, btw.

"i thought you ran a fucking curry shop" "i do that too" "?? what the fuck" "it's called being a PART TIMER chibi" "i'm gonna break your nose again"

anyway next au!!

cowboy au (btw, they still have abilities) where nathaniel is a travellng priest looking for a doctor to cure margaret who's deathly sick, and he hasn't really been having any luck (he's been searching for months to no avail), and eventually at this one town it's like.. it's late at night, nathaniel's thirsty, he heads to the bar to get some water. nikolai promptly swaps their drinks, nathaniel drinks something really strong and passes the fuck out, wakes up to being in an inn room (with noteably less money) and storms the hell out of the building just to find nikolai petting his horse and acting all innocent about doing anything. nathaniel just tries to leave, nikolai follows, and they travel like that for a bit (occasionally trying to kill each other) before they get the third member of their dysfunctional little party

do you remember that one kid fyodor killed?

this little guy (karma), is a pickpocket who steals nathaniel's bible in the hopes of selling it to get food. the two find him, both kinda realize his situation and while nathaniel is about to point him in the direction of the town's local church nikolai goes "fuck that" and just straight up kidnaps him, and they keep traveling. nathaniel and nikolai are mutually, regrettably, falling for one another, but this just manifests as more murder attempts, to the point that one night, nathaniel tries to strangle nikolai, nikolai wakes up and strangles him back, and when nathaniel passes out he fucking dreams about nikolai and is HORRIFIED. things only get worse and gayer from there and i also think they go on a train at some point.

karma's enjoying the horse rides at least, and there's some other characters that show up though tbh idk who besides this one dazai scene and gin at one point

okay this other au is shorter, but basically: ada kajii. this is built off of SO many headcanons, but essentially kajii's backstory is just the lemon short story. except that kajii never found lemons, bc instead kunikida (his old friend/school friend that fell out of contact with him) reaches out, they become friends again, and so when kunikida joins the ada, so does kajii. kajii works as a clerk bc, like, he doesn't. know he has an ability. Oh Boy Does He Get A Surprise during dead apple

okay i was gonna talk about my eternal winter au but that would be an essay /lh

SO instead!! shiburan au, an au i never. properly named beyond that it's a shibusawa x ranpo focused au. also co owned with my bestie @feralshadowdemon <33

basically, yokohama is a smaller, calmer seaside town, no abilities or anything. shibusawa moves in, working at the pet shop across the street from this coffee shop that's connected to a bookstore. the coffee shop is run by (most of) the ada, and the bookstore is run by yokomizo; mushitaro and poe work there. the members of the ada who work at the coffee shop are fukuzawa (he owns it), ranpo, kunikida, and yosano. dazai is fukuzawa's newest adopted kid, and ran away from home. (he was living with mori (and elise) before) yosano Understands his situation, having done the same years before.

ranpo starts going over to the pet shop a lot, both bc he's running errands (fukuzawa owns three cats) and bc he likes talking to shibusawa. they eventually exchange phone numbers and start texting. in the background of this, btw, is soukoku: they had a messy breakup years ago, they act like they don't like each other, etc etc normal skk things. the flags are a biker gang who are alive and well here, and chuuya hangs out with them a lot. dazai is a bit jealous of them, ranpo knows this, and so when chuuya starts volunteering at the pet shop, ranpo brings dazai along on an errand run so the two run into each other again. they start talking again, slowly bonding again by virtue of wingmaning shiburan

the akutagawa siblings live with hirotsu

fukuchi is the hunting dogs' dad; except for tetchou, who's jouno's boyfriend. he has stricter parents.

odango is engaged here but oda travels a lot so they haven't got married yet

ango works in an office in the big city, but he visits dazai sometimes. they are friends

bramcraft is married, they adopted aya

kyouka and kenji also live with fukuzawa!! twincoded tbh

kyouka has narcolepsy

For the art of atsushi holding a flower, the dahlia representing the, "ability to bloom after many other flowers have died" is so interesting for me for so many reasons. The analogy makes me thinking of difference between Canon and BEAST Akutagawa.

Dahlia’s are considered tender plants that are difficult to take care of because if you treat it too harshly or without proper care, it will decompose and rot, especially in the winter, and even if nothing has been injured or cut away. Something something dahlia’s being tender plants that break so easily representing how Akutagawa has never quite been suited for harshness, how he’s always his best when he’s treated with care—treated with kindness and gentleness and tenderness he’s never been given before. When you treat dahlias carefully with love they won’t rot from the roots up, and when you treat Akutagawa carefully, his despair and rage rots away at him a little less.

It also reminds me of that panel in BEAST where Kenji tells Aku that his friends passed on all their good halves to him. I guess that’s what the metaphor fits. Even in the harshest conditions he’s managed to come out alive—both beast and canon Akutagawa. Not just him and his friends but the countless of people Akutagawa has had to either watch die or kill if it meant surviving another day. He may be rotting from the inside out from a lack of tenderness but he’s survived long enough to become on of the most powerful and terrifying forces in the Port Mafia. This hits deranged territory but consider the cost representing rot.

I think Atsushi wearing the coat and holding (is he giving Akutagawa the flower? I hope he is) the Dahlia is great because it’s almost metaphorical of bearing all of the rot and years of survival that comes with it. Giving the dahlia to Akutagawa the same it’s a symbol of rebirth, a symbol of being able to start anew and be given a chance he never had at the start. They say dahlias are incredibly toxic to felines. It’s funny but there might be a layer to that too.

And I don’t want to just talk about Akutagawa because I think the meaning fits atsushi too but I’m finding it more difficult to draw comparisons more. Something something about how Atsushi is the definition of the a flower able to bloom “even after others have died”. Both because he’s incredibly resilient but he also has no choice but to continue moving forward. The treatment he’s endured since childhood has canonically nearly killed him multiple times. I’m sure it would have killed someone else if they were in his position. Getting mutilated and limbs cut off and thrown into walls and literally everything that has happened to him would kill anybody else. Not only that but it would be a very justifiable villain origin story. Yet Atsushi, although rotting in some places, still manages to survive and grow and not succumb to the forces that spent almost two decades trying to destroy him.

But rot is rot (and I love talking about angst). If the black is rot and white is the healthy parts of a dahlia, then life has been constantly nipping at Atsushi’s roots and his stem until they’re weak, and he’s standing upright out of sheer will alone. You can focus that symbolism in many different places: Atsushi hiding his rot from others with a fresh looking dahlia when he’s on the verge of giving out (but Akutagawa looks withered despite the core remaining vibrantly white. The way they’re surviving are different in a way). Atsushi is not being treated carefully as dahlias should be, because his ability to reverse his wounds makes him sturdy and people forget you still need to be gentle with sturdy flowers.

To sum up everything in an analogy: Akutagawa seems more like a dahlia whose petals are withered and tangled and visibly unpleasant, but reveals are much prettier core if you’re willing to look past it, but nobody (save for very few) bother to put in the hard work. Atsushi is more of a Dahlia that has brilliant—if not a bit limp—petals that distract you from the fact that the roots are decaying and in dire need of care, and even if you see them, they don’t appear to bsd to the eye. So it’s left festering, in a way. Either way, they’re both flowers that require and deserve tenderness but have no access to it.

I just realized: out of all of them from between Canon and the BEAST universe, BEAST! Atsushi is the only one that does not wear anything white, or anything light colored. Canon! Atsushi has his button down. Canon! Akutagawa has his blouse. Beast! Akutagawa wears a light color coat. But beast! Atsushi wears a grey/black turtleneck and a black coat. In regards to the flower analogy, Beast! Aku could be a dahlia that has rotted away for the longest time but is now receiving the care needed to repair (the black shirt, but brown coat). But beast! Atsushi never got any kind of kindness, really. Beast Akutagawa and Canon Atsushi have the ADA to help them. Canon! Akutagawa has Atsushi trying to pull him out of the dark. But Beast! Atsushi’s savior was a man that took him out of hell and placed him into another hell and there has never been room to repair him. At the end, BEAST Atsushi ends up back at hell #1, wearing blue scrubs which do nothing for him because they’re not white, (they’re not even a light blue!) and do not carry the symbolism that comes with white dahlias. Because if we talk about dahlias, blue dahlias do not exist in nature and you have to wonder what Beast! Atsushi would get from staying in the place that features in his nightmares.

I have more things I would say but I’m like. Completely going off tangent. But the idea that dahlias have, “the ability to bloom after other flowers have died” was just interesting to me for many reasons.

This was such a brilliant and spot on analysis Anon, I have barely anything to add!!! I really wish Akutagawa would find someone who would treat him with kindness like he was a delicate flower, as corny as that sounds. Akutagawa having never been suited for harshness is an interesting concept. It sure looks like it, thinking of his frail costitution and eerie presence- sick and ghostly, you know what I mean? Beast is out there to show us that Akutagawa is the best version of himself when treated with love and support. And I feel like a flower with rot in it is a description that fits Akutagawa a lot, because in my opinion Akutagawa is not one with evil as he may appear- more like, he knows what he does is morally reprehensible¹, and I'd even go as far as saying that he wants to do good (although on a very unconscious level he himself could never acknowledge), he was simply never given the chance to. That's why in the end it is fitting to see him as a vulnerable flower that was easily corrupted and thoroughly damaged.

I love the idea of Atsushi giving a flower symbolizing rebirth to Akutagawa!!! I'm insane over it. And the fact that the flower representing Akutagawa is also toxic to felines is so funny afjvakyflakifbv I actually love it it fits them a lot.

I think we should stretch on the fact that dahlias represent the ability to bloom after many other have died. Both Atsushi and Akutagawa survived a childhood where dozens of children just like them didn't make it. I like the interpretation that they should carry on and try to live happy for the friends they lost too, I wish they'd say it to each other. Moreso for Akutagawa, since he still feels responsable for the death of his family. He needs someone to tell him that he too is deserving of happines, because that's what his friends would have wanted.

About Atsushi and Akutagawa's corruption, I think it opens for SUCH an interesting topic. Atsushi's rot is hardly visible and barely transpires, while Akutagawa's rot is evident and striking, but he does hold that white core that goes unnoticed by everyone and yet truly represents his essence, his heart. A whole essay could be written on this, but here let's limit to say that Atsushi and Akutagawa truly mirror each other in the way Atsushi is as selfish as Akutagawa can be selfless, and Atsushi's kindness is as constructed and fictitious as Akutagawa's cruelty is, and they're both carefully crafted for the same reason, that is, to survive.

Beast Atsushi truly is the ultimate damned, isn't him 😭😭😭 To be fair though, I feel like Beast Akutagawa can hardly be considered to be wearing anything light, too... For how I see it, his coat is probably as light as Atsushi's turtleneck. I feel like the Beast universe is overall darker / grittier than the main one, but some kind of solace can be found in thinking they're still in it together.

¹ Way more than Dazai, btw, for whom good and evil never meant anything to begin with.

I was watching cannibalism stageplay and found that it pointed out smth very interesting!!! Atsushi's relationship with his orphanage director/headmaster actually resembles Akutagawa's relationship with Dazai

Both Dazai and the orphanage director/headmaster deeply abused and traumatized their students, but it is revealed that both of them did so in concern for their students' survival.

Dazai treated Akutagawa harshly so he would have the strength to live, and even thrive, in the mafia. The orphanage director/headmaster treated Atsushi harshly so that atsushi could keep living with himself when things eventually came crashing down around him (such as when the tiger went feral).

They are also both revealed to have had a rough—arguably even rougher than their students' in some aspects—life, and as such wanted to protect their students from the same pain and agony... though toughening them up through even more agony, enough so that they could persevere and survive through real awful situations later on

honestly i never even thought about this parallel before the stageplay, so this was super duper cool

(more stuff analysis about dazai under the cut!!!)

what's even more interesting is that dazai seems to acknowledge this parallel, and it's through this that we gain further insight on how he views akutagawa. It's clear that he knows full well that what he had done to akutagawa was unforgiveable, and does not expect forgiveness.

however, it's still evident that dazai cares for Akutagawa (again, still does not at all justify what he did to him, but definitely helps put things in perspective). If he hadn't, why would Dazai have put him through all that training and suffering to toughen him up, when he could have just as easily thrown him to the wolves and left him to die as a meaningless grunt in the mafia?

Dazai saw a young child, only 2 years younger than him, with a similar lack of a will to live in his eyes. He didn't need to take him into the mafia, but he did. he saw that kid with nothing else to keep him pushing through life, and sought to give him a similar home and salvation that the mafia brought him. Perhaps even better, perhaps give him the hope that dazai had wished the mafia have given him (as it is revealed in stormbringer that he had already gotten tired of the mafia after a year despite saying that he might find a reason to live bc of it in 15).

but for akutagawa to be able to find a home in the mafia (which, its clear that he does later on, such as when he was trying to bring kyouka back to the mafia) dazai had to make sure that he could survive through the bad, hence the... well, y'know. we've all memed on that one gif of dazai beating the shit out of aku. i think. i dunno maybe im just fucked up.

dazai isnt a dick to akutagawa bc he was an edgy teenager or just for shits and giggles. and he didn't push akutagawa to the fullest because he didn't comprehend how strong he actually was, pushing on a notion of weakness onto him.

dazai knows that akutagawa is strong. we know he knows. Hell, Chuuya (and atsushi too but idk if im remembering the guild aftermath scene right) knows.

So did Dazai's method of putting aku through hell to make him develop a "loathesome anger to help him survive" work? yeah. does it resemble what atsushi went through at the hands of his orphanage director/headmaster? yeah.

however, the similarities in their way of teaching doesn't end there. Dazai's method of training akutagawa resulted in an extremely low self-esteem, the kind that depends on another's approval. While atsushi doesn't necessarily depend on the approval of others, he does have a very low self esteem and rather depends on helping others to prove that he's worthy of living.

This unfortunate side effect of Dazai's and the orphanage director/headmaster's teaching method is likely unintentional, as both probably only focused on the intended outcome of strengthening akutagawa/atsushi.

so anyway idk how to end this so yeah. tldr cannibalism stageplay pointed out the parallel between atsushi's relationship with his orphanage director/headmaster vs akutagawa's relationship with dazai. as such, it helps give really interesting insight on why dazai treated aku that way.

okay so i LOVED fyodor not noticing chuuya is a vampire - fyodor may be on the same level as dazai in intelligence/strategy but he does NOT understand trust/friendship and he was able to take chuuya at face value becuz it didn't occur to him that chuuya and dazai would be working together - that chuuya would be doing all this becuz dazai asked

we know that the vampire ness didn't necessarily cut off the person entirely through akutagawa - despite having no control over himself aku was still able to "fight" against the ability by not breaking his promise and his fight w/ atsushi where he reacted - becuz their bond was just so strong

so applying that to skk who have trusted each other since they were what? 15 ? chuuya, if he had actually been a vampire, he still could have had the potential to fight back but NONE OF THIS OCCURED TO FYODOR

WHY?

BECUZ HIS BIGGEST WEAKNESS IS HIS INABILITY TO UNDERSTAND TRUST/BONDS/FRIENDSHIP OR AT LEAST THEIR IMPORTANCE

even when dazai wasnt with the ada - had less friends than pawns - he still trusted chuuya - so even then he wasn't unable to rely on someone

dazai's masterplan relied heavily on his friends / allies -- fyodor's didn't

atsushi’s distorted view of dazai

i originally posted this as a twt thread but i figured i'd put it here too since tumblr is kinda better for character analysis type stuff!!

it started when a mutual posted these panels from the manga:

and it got me thinking. because this really just shows how distorted atsushi's view of dazai is. like. i don't think he fully comprehends how little regard dazai had (and to a certain extent, has) for other people's lives. the reason akutagawa is like that is BECAUSE of dazai....

and like i'm of the belief that part of the reason dazai has put sskk together is bc they make each other better, they call out each other's flaws. atsushi calls akutagawa out for being the slaughterer he is, and as we saw with the the scene of him sparing the guy on the ship, aku has become better for it. (in a similar way, aku calls out atsushi's weaknesses, too). so in a weird way, this is dazai "fixing" the mistake he made with how he trained akutagawa, bc he basically taught him to be ruthless.

do i think dazai has regret? possibly, but i think it's more strategic than moral. like, i don't think he regrets for inflicting emotional damage as much as he regrets how akutagawa turned out. he also basically refuses to confront this issue head-on. he uses atsushi as a conduit and never really apologizes (which he should apologize!!!!).

so because he doesn't really take responsibility for how akutagawa turned out, atsushi has this idea in his head that it's entirely akutagawa's fault that he's so violent. atsushi doesn't really know what dazai put him through. i wonder if he ever will, because i think that'd be really interesting to explore, especially how it's implied that he's starting to see dazai as more of a father figure now (ex: his replacing the orphanage director as atsushi's mental motivator). i think atsushi would have really mixed feelings about learning how dazai was in his pm days. i don't think he'd hate him or anything like that, especially since he's changed some since then, but i think it would make for very interesting character exploration for them both.

2. Favorite canon thing about this character?

There's so many things, but the first that comes to mind right now is that he loves drama. I think he mentions it in a teapot voice line? He fondly recalled being at the Harbingers' banquets and watching them try to get out of missions they didn't like.

Speaking of the teapot, I find it adorable how polite he is there, compared to the way he addresses the Traveler in his normal voice lines.

4. If you could put this character in any other media, be it a book, a movie, anything, what would you put them in?

Avatar: The Last Airbender. I wanna see him and Toph together. I feel like they'd get along really well :)

24. What other character from another fandom of yours that reminds you of them?

Okay... Hear me out... Ryunosuke Akutagawa from Bungou Stray Dogs. Their demeanors are similar; both are blunt, cold and aloof. They both avoid interacting with those around them and appear quite detached. Both had questionable mentors (Dazai and Dottore), though I would compare Akutagawa's and Dazai's dynamic to that of Scaramouche and Ei, too. Dazai and Ei both abandoned them and generally act like Aku and Scara don't exist. Both replaced Aku and Scara for someone "better" - Atsushi and Raiden Shogun (though in Scara's case, he was only a prototype puppet, but, you know, I feel like he would still think of it as replacement because he was "too weak and emotional" for Ei).

They're both antagonists that went through a lot of emotional turmoil. These similarities are a little surface-level, but oh well. I couldn't think of anyone else :')

Literally, my thoughts throughout the whole chapter were "what the fuck" on different levels/degrees, and by the end of it, I was in shock and then it all hit me about five minutes ago lmao.

Guys dw I don't think he's dead; it's the information overload. Also, I'm not just saying this bc I'm in denial (ahem ahem) but genuinely because I don't think Sigma was shot with a fatal wound; and he touches Dostoevsky and automatically he's not dead. Fyodor's ability is seemingly able to kill people upon immediate contact. (Which is probably why he made Sigma's ability also through touch idk man lmao) And Sigma is not dead !!! (fucking praying) it's genuinely just the sheer amount of information he received from Fyodor; that shit was a LOT. He inquired about EVERY SINGLE SECRET that he had; bro, this is fucking Fyodor that we're talking about; that's a long-ass list. Anyways, so I genuinely just think it's like what happened to Atsushi; Sigma's ability is to take information from people, so he's a lot more used to an influx of info in his mind than Atsushi is; however, this was a shit ton of info for him to take in, it's going to take a while to process all of that. (Also his first thought being to tell the Agency AH I can't- also does this mean that Fyodor's plans maybe involve the Agency even more? Man I don't know lmao)

Next, Aya is so slay I hate her dad fr fr lmao xoxo She's so important to the story and I love it. Also, convenient hole there Akutagawa. Anyways xoxo so, we see a lot of humanity still emanating from Aku, so this is very good.

So, now uhm. We're onto Dazai's arrival! 🤠

Why's Chuuya hesitating in the first place? Fyodor told him to go and kill Dazai. He's now seen Dazai, and just isn't doing anything, he's just standing there. And Dazai's just taunting that mf.

Right, now, I don't know about you, but this really doesn't sound very Dazai to me. I don't know, it was my first thought upon reading it. Like yeah of course he'd mock Chuuya; but has he ever called him weak? And like I don't know just the phrasing doesn't sound like him. Also, his shit-eating grin just makes me piss. Also, the fact that this gets a reaction from Chuuya like it would if he were human. Instead of acting on Fyodor's orders, he goes to punch Dazai after being provoked; also, I don't know about you, but a punch from Chuuya, no matter how hard he hits (he can't use gravity also) wouldn't kill Dazai. Chuuya is going to punch Dazai out of anger and infuriation at him mocking him; not because Fyodor has ordered him to.

ALSO, we don't see Dazai's face here, and he's not smiling anymore, but also he isn't moving away from Chuuya? I don't know maybe I'm dumb lol.

Also, another thing?

"Back up and put him down."

Like, dog connotations between SKK are fucking rampant, Dazai always calling Chuuya his dog, etc. The phrasing here gets me interested lol.

Then the "...Darn." from Dazai. What's with the pause? Idk, maybe I'm just overanalysing lol.

I'm sorry but Chuuya slays so hard here.

What's with the sigh? Any right-minded person (considering that it's Dazai we're talking about, maybe not the best phrasing) wouldn't just sigh when they have a gun pulled on them? Also, what the fuck is with the gun being so bright or smoky I can't tell?

He's literally had his bones broken by Chuuya at fifteen years of age when he stepped on his wrist and snapped it, he's been tossed around like a goddamn ragdoll, he's been shot by Fyodor's sniper, stabbed by Shibusawa and stabbed by Gab; all times he has never had this reaction, and those were near-fatal wounds, two of them actually killing him. Also, nobody says "That hurt!" After getting shot, come on now.

THE FUCKING IMMEDIATE SWITCH UP.

Going from shouting and screaming in pain and anger to utter silence and a calm look on his face at having a gun pressed to his head by his partner. Also, idk if Chuuya's actually touching his head with the gun; if he is, however, then I'm sure that will nullify the vampirism I THINK. In the fifteen LN, they defeat Randou and the old boss by Chuuya wrapping streamers around himself and hiding it underneath his clothes whilst Dazai held onto it from the other end of the room, and the streamers protected him from Randou's attacks, I THINK. And I THINK that this may mean if the gun touches Dazai's head, then maybe...? I really don't know, I'm clutching at mega straws here but it's just what I thought when I first read it.

Also, what does Fyodor mean by the "With this... there's no need to worry." About what? Dazai, like, having an extra plan? I really don't know.

Then this motherfucker sighing for the SECOND TIME WITH A GUN POINTED AT HIM? Like sorry that this is such an inconvenience??? Maybe you should be a little bit more worried? Also his dead-ass fucking look makes me piss.

Anwyays, my next thought is just why he's commentating the situation; Chuuya is here. He knows. He's the one holding the gun. Dostoevsky is watching on the cameras, he knows. He arranged this shit. Dazai knows. He's got the fucking gun pointed to him. So, why is Dazai just announcing what's happening? Also, of course his shoulder's going to hurt? You've just been shot babes. And once again, the "This is the god damn worst!" He's cussing an awful lot, which is actually shocking for him to be honest. But if we do decide to go down the route of he actually has no plans left and is genuinely just left for dead, then that's lowkey valid. But this is Dazai we're talking about bro. Also, the "And I'm gonna lose to Dostoevsky." Is he trying to get Fyodor to be like "Ah, he knows I've beat him." Hm. It's like pandering lol. "And as if that weren't enough, I'm being killed by Chuuya!" He's very expressive rn lmao. Anyways, who is he voicing all of this to? I don't know. OH WAIT ANGO? FUCK WAIT LMAO OKAY SORRY.

So, I remembered the other day that Dazai, despite Ango not being able to communicate with him, can still communicate with Ango. So, pretty much, has he relayed everything back to Ango? And Ango knows what's happening right now? Hm.

Anyways, if that's just irrelevant, then who is he just chatting to? I don't know man he's wild lmao.

He leans into the gun. Also sorry he's just so pretty. Anyways. The thing about Harukawa is that Harukawa enjoys telling emotions, stories and psychological states through the character's eyes. And, said that though he wasn't going to disclose which character, there was one character whose eyes were devoid of highlights when they were showing their true self; whilst Dazai looks mighty determined here, and his words are true, he's got an act going on. But also, his eyes are genuine. They're determined, and they're real. I can't explain lol anyways. Onto the main fucking attraction here.

"Chuuya. Come to your senses. Our fate will not end in a place like this. Because you and I are destined to-"

HM? HM? Genuinely, I was so taken aback at this part, I was in fucking SHOCK. Fellas, is it gay to talk about your fate with your partner who you daydream about, every day and night, for the past seven years, and say that you're destined to do SOMETHING before it gets cut off and said partner shoots you in the head?

Going back to this scene real quick, Chuuya is looking awfully human when Fyodor says "Stop." don't you think? Anyways.

Not both Sigma and Dazai's "final sentences" being cut off. Hm. Also, once again, Chuuya looking more human than he did before. When we first saw him with Fyodor, mans was fucking SWEATING and going feral, growling and shit. And, I can't lie. The, "I've been... looking forward to th-" Who's to say that he is actually talking about dying? Bro said the same thing when he got stabbed by Shibusawa and Gab. And he knew he'd be coming back both times.

But, something I will say; I can most definitely agree that Dazai does look very dead in his eyes. That I can most definitely say.

LMAO I just got the most random ass theory in my head; what if Chuuya turned that time-stopping girl into a vampire and she's using her ability for something LMAO THAT'S FOUL my brain is actually so dumb.

He's smug. He's cocky. He has seen him be shot and thinks that he's won. But again, I just can't believe that Asagiri would do that; I know he has the balls to do it, but is it beneficial to the story for Dazai to die? There are too many unanswered questions, too many routes that this could stray down if he does. What about the Agency? What about Atsushi and Aku? What about Chuuya? The PM? Ango? Not to be all "Dazai cannot die he's too important" but yeah, I am going to be all like that. Anyways lol. My point was that the "goodbye" here, MAYBE this is "Operation Goodbye" coming into play. I WILL STAND BY THIS THEORY UNTIL MY FUCKING GRAVE. Which will be a very early one depending on the outcome of the next fucking chapter. But yeah, maybe this is the reason it's called that, and Chuuya will hear this, or even Dazai, and it's like a signal. Also, fuck off if you think that I'll believe Dazai is dead; he got shot in the head at point blank, and still had the energy to smile and be like "Aw yeah I love this" like bruh. Also, maybe Chuuya shot Dazai in the side and the shoulder before and after he shot him in the head so that Fyodor thinks "Oh, he's definitely dead." And Dazai has made sure that the second round in that gun is a blank or it's fucking paint and he replaced it fucking ages ago, whether with the time-stopping ability or he gave Chuuya the gun before he ever even GOT into Meursault, bro I really don't know. I'm sticking by my paint theory and that the bullet in that specific magazine thing is a little paintball. Dazai can literally canonically send himself into cardiac arrest and come back out of that; he did it to Atsushi in 55 minutes when Atsushi scared him. Anyways.

Not him being in a different position then he actually "dies" in man. LMAO what if this shit is Poe's novel? Anyways.

In the camera footage looking one, we see him with both his legs folded and like almost cross-legged with his hands clasped together inside his legs, the same when Aya is pushing the table. Me when I move after I die, what? Also, how come the other bullets went through his body, but the bullet shot through his head just didn't? I'm sure we've seen people get shot in the head in this series before and if we haven't, I'll be very fucking shocked. But anyways, either way, I can guarantee you they all would have/will have died instantaneously. This motherfucker is just chilling, laughing and talking about how fucking glad he is as he's dying. Bro. Anyways. Long story short, Dazai is not dead and he's a cunning little shit and I'm telling you now that that fucking magazine, that one bullet round was a paintball bullet thing. Idk man. I'm not having this motherfucker die now after this long and so many almost-confessions to his fucking partner bro.

Also, the black around Chuuya's eyes is easing; it's lesser. And also I said this as soon as I saw him, but he doesn't have the veins under his eyes anymore. He just looks a lot more human than he did before.

Also, yeah uh. One Order is fucking me up bro fr. I hate Fukuchi man, just bc you're bitter, king. Also, I find it very... interesting, that when Aya is going "Fall! Just fall!" It shows us the three generations of Double Black, all in equally precarious situations.

Dazai, having been almost drowned/set on fire/suffocated/poisoned, ALSO THE LETHAL POISON THAT IS IN HIS AND FYODOR'S BODIES, WHAT'S HAPPENING WITH THAT? LMAO. Anyways, so, Dazai, having been almost drowned/set on fire/suffocated/poisoned, then fell in an elevator and literally almost died as he apparently crawled through the hallway or something, then got shot in the shoulder by Chuuya, only to be apparently shot in the head and killed and shot in the side and the other shoulder. Maybe the bullets are antidotes lmao anyways. So, Dazai, apparently dead. Fukuzawa, having his throat sliced and also apparently, supposedly dead. Atsushi, not supposedly dead, but supposedly about to die, and is certainly in a dangerous situation; someone mentioned on a post I saw before that they feel as if this is building up for the three SKK generations working together, and I agree! Mori hasn't really been seen much; I feel as if he's going to turn up soon. Aku is of course going to either die after Aya rips the sword out or HOPEFULLY just go back to being human; same with Chuuya. I feel as if all of this is somehow planned. I feel like Tanizaki is going to turn up with light snow and the president is actually fine, and the One Order that Fukuchi has isn't real, and Fukuzawa slipped the page from him or something. Because, Tanizaki is literally behind them with Kunikida I think it was? Also, Kenji and Tecchou? Teruko? Where's Jouno? Where's Tachihara? What about the PM members that got turned? What about whatever the fuck Dazai has planned? Bro, I'm so scared but I actually cannot wait.

But yeah no. So. I am insane. I am clinically unwell. That chapter fucked me up; but we've been getting fed GOOD the past two months fr. This has given me so much SKK angst fic ideas holy shit. Asagiri and Harukawa both just cured my fucking writer's block with one chapter.

Also! Something else I saw was somebody saying how similar Fyodor's mental ass fucking scene was with Dazai's and it honestly is! Fyodor getting shot in his left shoulder first, then Dazai in his right, then his left.

Now, just a thing of note; in Christianity and stuff, the left side is usually representative of evil and Satan, whereas the right side is associated with Righteousness and goodwill. Bro, I had this shit drilled into me as a kid, left was bad and right was good. It's just very interesting to me that Fyodor was shot in his left shoulder; representative of evil, and Dazai was shot in the side that it supposed to represent goodness and all things pure, really lmao. Maybe I'm just looking too deep into this, but I found it pretty intriguing.

Anyways, my main point was how similar the scenes are; they're both playing characters that are opposite to their true selves. Though, to be honest, it's a bit of a weird one/situation because we don't actually KNOW their true selves lmao.

Anyways! This is way too long, I'm going to carry on my SKK angst with my newfound absolute shit mood bro this shit fueled me but has actually destroyed me.
