a while back i promised myself i'd draw more as a sort of new year's resolutions. it didn't need to be finished, it didn't even need to be digital, i just needed to draw more - make use of my unused art supplies and all that.

this drawing is hopefully the first of many to come, as i was shooting for either one drawing a week or one every two weeks. so, either 52 or 26 drawings. i was supposed to post it on sunday, but frankly i fell asleep.

this girl's name is akila, and you can see the sketch i used for the digital drawing below it. i adapted her from one of my original stories for a friend's dnd one-shot, where she helped kill a vampire dragon. it was my first time playing a hexblade warlock, and i had a lot of fun.

akila is what i affectionately call one of my edgy weeaboo ocs, what with her being a foxgirl who wields a sharp katana named memento mori, and who talks mainly in a monotone voice (it makes for an excellent deadpan when the opportunity shows itself).

she's used to working alone, but despite what that might sound like, she can actually be more cooperative than it looks and work with a group to achieve a common goal.

i might eventually come back to this drawing to polish it a bit, as i feel like i could have done more, but for now this is it.

anyways, there might be more art coming this week! so keep an eye out for that.
