Even if a lot of them are underwhelming as characters, their dynamic elevates all of them, and being a villain found family also makes them much more unique imo.

man they did akhos and patroka so dirty in xenoblade 2 like akhos is so cool except he only gets like two good moments throughout the entire game. patroka has it even worse, she doesn’t even get one good moment and has bad voice acting to boot. the two of them are definitely the least plot important members of torna so i get that they’re not gonna get the same time that the rest of them get, but… cmon man they’re so cool, i want more of them

#xenoblade #xenoblade chronicles #xenoblade 2 #xenoblade chronicles 2 #akhos #patroka #basically all we get of them in terms of backstory is the quick cutscene in ch9 #which happens during an already super busy moment in the story #akhos at least had the benefit of being the most relevant villain in ch3 and he kinda slays that whole chapter down #but patroka gets like NOTHING #she’s introduced at the end of by far the worst segment of the game #her and mikhail are the most underwhelming end of chapter boss fight in the game other than ch8 which doesn’t have one #but at least mikhail has torna the golden country + history with jin #it’s just a shame and makes me really yearn for an alternate version of this game where we play as the torna gang

XC3 Reincarnation AU: Taion

Taion doesn’t actually need glasses. He just kept reaching for glasses that weren’t there, so he now wears them for the sake of familiarity.

Being transferred to Colony Gamma was a… surreal experience. Mio was achingly familiar in a way he couldn’t quite place. His first meeting with Teach got off to a rough start when they locked eyes and Taion suddenly felt squeezing restriction panic eyes filled with hate DON’T EAT ME.

He totally had a big geek-out when his second Blade manifested. I mean, come on, its a bow and a scythe AND a shield?

Thankfully for the rest of the Ouroboros (and Manana’s sanity), his cooking skills improve quite dramatically.

You bet your ass he spent hours catching up with Alexandria and Isurd once they got their memories back.

Once they got past the whole “I kidnapped your granddaughter” thing, he and Gray actually have a rollicking good time discussing plays and how to get theater into Aionios.

He has a serious fear of being squeezed/restrained.
