hey aimsey i realize your lore is done and no vol2 and such but i just wanted to say thank you for the story you did tell. i was so grateful to see more of bearsmp, i loved the love your character had for others, i loved the themes of forgiveness and moving forward and grief, i love the way you told a story so much. I love the themes of being haunted (by ghosts, by memories, by the past, by guilt). c!Aimsey the world :,) hope youre doing well!

c!aimsey is so tragically yet so beautifully human. even though they have been haunted their entire life, they never fed into the cycle of violence, because despite everything she wanted to live. through heart break, abandonment, grief and even death she remained true to her intentions which is something i’ll always love about the character itself. to have someone with the ability to portray grief so honestly was such a big thing i wanted to ensure i did based on the fact it’s one of the things i never see usually in media and i wanted a way for people to see the way c!aimsey grieves and notice that it is okay. it can take weeks, months, years and you can think you’re over it but have a day where you just can’t stop crying over what you once had - and that’s okay. c!aimsey belongs to you. you are her, as much as she is you. you love her, just as much as she loves you. despite everything, she tries and you can too.

I want to be real clear about the fact that I think all or at least most of the pirates are gonna fall or die. Aimsey and Quqqie were the audiences’ sacrificial lambs to show that anyone no matter how likable or interesting can and will meet a brutal end due to forces beyond anyone’s control. No character is safe. It doesn’t matter how interesting their story if they make the wrong choices they will fall just like Aimsey and Quqqie. It also acts as tension building for the audience, we know the corruption is not something to be taken lightly, we know that Olive’s slime is probably going to cause Olive and maybe more people to fall. We know how that those robed figures be they cultists or not are dangerous liars and not to be trusted. We have a much better idea about how twisted their world can be, beyond what any of them know. And we know none of them are safe.

#pirates smp #scurvyblr #think Outsiders most of the characters probably aren’t surviving to the end #I really liked Aimsey and Quqqie’s characters and I understand why people might not have been happy with their ends #but I think it’s important to remember that it’s day one and that over time Aimsey and Quqqie’s death will be further explained #and given even more weight as people find out what happened #I also think it set the tone and expectations very well I trust that POW and the creators knows what they’re doing

cannot stop thinking about c!aimsey grabbing c!guqqies lifeless body and holding it as tight as humanely possible, her knuckles turning a dark shade of blue from the pressure because every inch of aimseys body is screaming that there is a hope if she holds her dead lovers body tight enough, she will come back. despite bloom knowing this won’t happen, she does it anyway. she clutches onto guqqie, trying to clasp onto pieces of her clothing to hold her closer. she is whispering apologies, but the whispers quickly begin to get louder as the words aimsey sputters start to match the intensity of her own heart beat, to the point where aimsey is screaming and begging for guqqie to come back as it echos through the ghost town. tears begin to fall onto guqqies pale face, aimsey cupping it gently while still muttering incoherently about how this is all her fault, how this has changed everything

suddenly, it all goes quiet, no more talking, and the rain stops. all there is to be heard are sobs. aimsey realises that she isn’t coming back.

#i imagine caimsey still has nightmares about this #they were extremely traumatic at first #but they’ve became easier to manage #when the nightmares happen #she wakes up and makes her way to her kitchen #she brews a coffee and sits outside #it’s night time #she watches the stars and traces the constellations #she turns to her side as she sits on one of the two cabin chairs that are outside her cottage #she eyes the empty chair for a moment #bloom smiles #and she looks back up at the stars and closes her eyes #aimsey begins to dream of the pair #both of them alive #both of them happy #watching the sunrise #together
