And she's trembling. She's been trembling and shaking the entire time and only max notices since he hugged her. He'd probably hope others did too, and maybe they did, but imagine Magpie returns his hug. Imagine up until this point she hasn't really liked giving him affection in that way, but now she really wants his hug. It's only until they are alone that Max quietly tells Maggie it's okay. And she sobs.

Like imagine it is obvious that Max would have done this alone if no one was willing to come along and Maggie gets to feel so wanted from this that the fear she suppresses while a hostage melds together with how much Max's actions mean to her, that she can only hide it until it's just her and max

Brooooooo why are the like NO CONTENT about Injustice Superboy??? His story is so TRAGIC and compelling!! Homeboy lost like most of his friends, had to fight Superman (he lost), was trapped in the phantom zone for like 6 years, became Superman, got tortured by Brainiac, was left to die in the vacuum of space, then got yote to another dimension (alongside Wonder Girl) by alt-timeline booster gold. And he’s only in like 14 comics!!! And we never get a follow-up for what happens in that other dimension with him and Cassie!! I would pay 1 trillion dollars for a good fic centering him & Cassie grappling with their trauma and loss, and learning to live in a alternate universe separate from everything they know and love.
