Born in the Wrong Generation

Dear reader, I would like to promise you, as I do myself, I am to be nothing but genuine and honest with you. As I write my first blog ever at 6 a.m., love is all I have in mind. You see, I am a hopeless romantic living in the 21st century. I know; I am a bit of a unicorn. Consequently, I am ever so lonely. Why is that? I am glad you asked. I am chronically single and have a virtually nonexistent social life. The fact that I am barely entering my mid-twenties makes this beyond sad. The surprising part is that this is not for lack of trying. Yes, I haven't left my apartment in the past two weeks. However, I have subjected myself to subscribe to a plethora of online dating websites with unfiltered, semi-recent pictures of myself and a sincere biography describing who I am and what I seek.

Furthermore, let it be known that, unlike many, I do not shy away from sending the first message when the opportunity presents itself. Nonetheless, all I am met with is, "hey whats your bra size?", "you up for hooking up tonight?" and even "you may not be my dating type but i would totally do you." Trust me when I tell you that I have plenty more horror stories in the form of messages exchanged with those with XY chromosomes through websites such as Tinder, Hinge, or even Bumble. It is almost as if it never crosses their minds that an actual human being is on the other side of the computer.

I must confess that, at this moment, I loathe nothing more than the thought of going through this maze of online dating even for one more day. So, I ask you to be my witness as I muster all of my courage and quit them all. Meanwhile, I will keep believing that one day, I will meet someone as wonderfully and uniquely weird as I am, preferably in person. To be continued…

It pains me to see people fighting in the name of religion. We were a beautiful country, but now it's not the same. I wish it was normal again. Sharing your tiffin with a Muslim friend and eating his tiffin too, celebrating with them. We never knew that we can be divided in the name of religion. I wish I could have the good olden days back.

I am incorrigible as you must have known now, and I needn't say the damn reason. I was away, I know, but I was busy, busy? Am I a corporate that I can't even spare 10mins to write this blog? Well, that's an excuse. Nevermind, I will try to do better. Because, every day is a new day:)

Another reason why I was not in a mood to write the blog, that I was disappointed, I was feeling low because I did not get admission in the universities in which I wanted to and you know that's massively depressing.

I don't wanna go..but I have some work to do.. see ya soon.
