are you a personal blog who followes many roleplay blogs? then you might want to read this one!! don’t take it as a criticism towards you, but as a way to interact with the RP blogs you find in your dash!

ASKS

most roleplayers love to recieve any kind of ask! headcanons, random questions, comments about their current plot... anything goes! Don’t be afraid to approach us, especially if we reblog headcanon prompts!

don’t spoil other’s plots! what would be the fun

make sure you’re on the same page when it comes to headcanons and ships! don’t ask characters about relationships they’re not involved into, or theories they don’t share with you! asking to the player if they ship something 

REBLOGS and LIKES

most roleplayers prefer to have a “clean” notification section. this means that if you go on a like spree, chances are they’re going to be upset, since possible threads replies or mentions might end up hidden under dozens and dozens of other notifications. of coures a few likes are always appreciated, but don’t take it too far

don’t reblog threads, promos headcanons and art from the RP blog! if you’re enjoying an interaction between two characters or a theory, let the player know with a like, or by telling them in the askbox. if you’re into their art and headcanons, try to ask them if they have a personal blog where they share them as well, so you can reblog them from there

general rule of thumb when it comes to reblogging stuff like aesthetic posts, musings and fanarts the players themselves reblog, always try to look for the source instead of reblogging directly from the RP blog

ROLEPLAYING

don’t expect most people to roleplay with you! most RP blogs tend to focus their roleplaying with other RP blog if you’re interested with interacting, a lot of players are more than willing to lend a hand and help others getting started, so don’t be afraid to ask!

ALWAYS READ THE RULES

while the other points in this post are generalized, reading the rules of a RP blog you want to follow is something you should always do.

some people are more leaning on recieving certain kind of asks or having stuff reblogged from them; some people don’t want to be followed by minors, some other don’t want to be followed by personal blogs at all!

again, in doubt, try to reach out and ask for the rules page, or some explaination on specific rules! that’s always appreciated, and show interest in your part

August 7, 2022:

Dear reader, I would like to promise you, as I do myself, I am to be nothing but genuine and honest with you. As I write my first blog ever at 6 a.m., love is all I have in mind. You see, I am a hopeless romantic living in the 21st century. I know; I am a bit of a unicorn. Consequently, I am ever so lonely. Why is that? I am glad you asked. I am chronically single and have a virtually nonexistent social life. The fact that I am barely entering my mid-twenties makes this beyond sad. The surprising part is that this is not for lack of trying. Yes, I haven't left my apartment in the past two weeks. However, I have subjected myself to subscribe to a plethora of online dating websites with unfiltered, semi-recent pictures of myself and a sincere biography describing who I am and what I seek.

Furthermore, let it be known that, unlike many, I do not shy away from sending the first message when the opportunity presents itself. Nonetheless, all I am met with is, "hey whats your bra size?", "you up for hooking up tonight?" and even "you may not be my dating type but i would totally do you." Trust me when I tell you that I have plenty more horror stories in the form of messages exchanged with those with XY chromosomes through websites such as Tinder, Hinge, or even Bumble. It is almost as if it never crosses their minds that an actual human being is on the other side of the computer.

I must confess that, at this moment, I loathe nothing more than the thought of going through this maze of online dating even for one more day. So, I ask you to be my witness as I muster all of my courage and quit them all. Meanwhile, I will keep believing that one day, I will meet someone as wonderfully and uniquely weird as I am, preferably in person. To be continued…

Four of the blogs involved were rp blogs, two were personals. The responder that was needlessly harassed was an active rp blog. The person who began arguing with them was an rp blog who had hardly posted any rp related content for months, their friend who starting tagging the responder after they blocked the first responder was also an rp blog who hasn’t really had rp activity for months as well. The person who was blocked then used a personal account to come back and continue to tag the person who told them to stop, calling them some names and mocking their age. Which is kind of rich because that person was actually well over 30 according to their info, older than the person they were ridiculing for basically nothing. Then another personal blog joined in and tagged them to ridicule them too. It was pretty ugly and didn’t need to happen given the responder who was harassed wasn’t actually wrong in the first place according to the OP and had tried to end the argument regardless with blocking. Personal blogs aren’t bad at all, no one tired to say that, but they can still be misused and were during the blog hopper discussion. It's good some people are using personal blogs is to protect their safety from overzealous, immature rpers, but it goes to show some people will try to take advantage of the anonymity a non-rp account can give them as well. It's good to just remember to protect your privacy in general by making sure to have throw away/proxy accounts when interacting with a blog like this. I've actually never seen so much shit before over some super harmless opinions and preferences. I mean, like, this wasn't even about spicy stuff like bigotry or morality in rp. Smh, crazy!

In Your Arms

Last Friday night I went out drinking and ended up bringing a guy home with me! He was really sweet , nothing ''happened'' as such , cuddling and making out only. In the morning we lay in each others arms and just talked.

After he left, I had the weirdest feeling in my chest, I wanted to text him straight away and spent the whole day agonizing about that.

I ended up picking up my guitar and writing a song about the whole experince, he later texted to say he had a great time, but wasn't looking for anything serious as he was still healing from a traumatic breakup. Which is completely fair enough, but he was also apologizing for 'overstepping bounds' which made me sad, cuz he felt like he'd make me uncomfortable, which he hadn't at all.

On Wednesday, I will be playing at the Open Mic in my local town, He will be there and I am going to sing the song I wrote about us!......

Little bit about me

Hi! I'm Crowe. I'm trans (ftm) and have decided to document my experience here (if I remember to update this...).

I'm a hobby writer, Pagan, on the verge of finishing high school and just trying to get by. I love music of all sorts, which makes finding a playlist very confusing sometimes. I tend to choose my playlists based on my mood/which character I'm playing—with the latter having a greater influence. I'm sure you will read a lot about my writings over time. Despite having nothing published (save for one short on Wattpad), I've been writing for 5 years, 3 of which have been serious, and all of which have been in roleplays with my writing partner and now-girlfriend, Rose.

I've been out of the closet about my gender identity for 3+ years now. I did what I like to call a "gradual gender journey" where I started off enby, then demi-boy, then transmasc, and have been pretty confident in my masculinity for a few months now after a strange femme hiccup last summer. I think I was lost in the woods then and have stumbled back to my comfortably masculine path now. I'm happy where I am. Well, mostly. I'm ready to start aligning my body with my mind and soul. My identity is solid, and while I may choose to fluctuate with the way I dress or wear makeup (beyond angling my jaw and such), I still identify as a male. I'm just a male doing those things.

I wanted to make this my safe, little corner of the internet to share with anyone else who feels they need/want it. I plan to share my strategies for coping on this journey—past, present and future—and hope that the things I write reach at least one person. That's my goal. To reach one person and help them feel like they're not alone, wherever they are in this strange world. I also know that 'safety' on the Internet is relative and foolish to try to achieve, but one can hope, and I will do my best.

Anyway, I don't know where I'll start in terms of telling my story. I don't know where I'll go once I do. All I know is that I want to share my thoughts, process, etc. Just in case. Crowe (he/him)

Diving into the new year!!

Heyoo!! It's been a while since I have been here. Happy new year to all of the wonderful people who have read about my problems for well over a year now!! 2022 was an amazing year, lots of friends, lots of memories and lots and lots of happiness. I just hope that it was just a start for something even better!!

I really look forward to 2023 and what it brings for me. However I am definitely not looking forward to what is actually coming my way right now as I type this. MY BOARD EXAMS. Because my friends, It's that time in India where every child collectively looses their shit and realizes that they have to study or they might just fail. Board exams are starting from 21st of February which is just shy of a month now. Thankfully I am a commerce student so it's not that stressful for me haha (commerce is pretty easy honestly). The exam is going to last an ENTIRE MONTH which is just going to add to the pressure. But whatever, it is what it is, you have to deal with it.

But OMG after the exams are over, I am going full grind mode on my life. My gym membership ended a week ago and my guitar also broke in like November. I am going to get a new guitar, hit the gym again and try to improve more and more. So it's just going to be non-stop grind and I'm here forrr itttt!!!!!

College is also something that i look forward to this year. I have finally decided which degree I'll be pursuing for the next like 3-4 yrs. I still have questions about which college is the best for me but I'll figure it out. It's going to be great, I can feel it!!

I'll also turn 18 this year!!! Like WTF!! time is flying. Here I was, 16 year old clueless little guy and now I am suddenly so old like HOWWW?!??! Time feels like it's going so fast yet so slow. I am finally going to be an adult and have responsibilities. Although it is scary, I am definitely looking forward to it.

In summary, life's good and I am going to make it even better. 2023 be good to me 🙏. I'll most probably write again after my exams. I might even start doing it regularly as I'll have a lot more time on my hands. Someday I do plan on writing blogs, but that thought is way in the future which I would not like to think about at the moment. Once again, thankyou so much for reading about a stranger's life (except you, you know who I am bestie🤩) on the internet. I wish you have a great 2023!!!

🌴 I may start a shitstorm with this, but I've lost track of how many "personal blogs" I've interacted with who didn't actually know what "personal blog" meant. They sure didn't know it meant "anything that wasn't a roleplaying blog". Makes me wonder why roleplayers don't just say "non-roleplaying blogs", because at least then, it's obvious that everything that isn't a roleplay blog is included. What does "personal blog" even mean? That's so nebulous. Think about it. For starters, someone always makes a blog for personal enjoyment, so that doesn't help. And a lot of people define a "personal blog" as a blog where you post personal updates, life things, etc. That still leaves a lot of other blog types. People have inspo blogs, fandom blogs, music blogs, gif-making blogs, often where they make things to share with other people, which are clearly not "personal" either... But rpers still don't want those kinds of blogs interacting with them, so... What the heck? Being super vague by saying "personal blogs DNI", then screaming at a gif-making blog for liking your posts, when that gif-making blog may not even consider their blog personal because they post gifs for everyone to reblog, is gross. Feels like entrapment. Be specific, or shut up and stop being monsters to people, because you have no one to blame but yourselves for the shitty communication. "Do not interact unless you're a roleplay blog". Try it sometime.
