Xavier x witch reader where they have been dating and over time he’s gotten more and more interested in her practice, and she decides to teach him about meditation. So in his dorm she surprises him and sets up a sanctuary with her candles, crystals, incense, etc. and for the first time he finds true peace while learning how to meditate and he starts crying happy tears without even realizing, which results in a lot of concern, but ultimately ends in tooth-rotting, peaceful fluff.

The room smelt like incense whenever Xavier came over, your crystals were laid on a special table you brought, the incense burning. Before meeting you, Xavier didn’t know much about spiritual guidance, meditation, any of it, and he still really didn’t. 
He’d just quietly watch you intently, trying to figure out on his own what you were doing. Couple months into dating, he noticed how you started leaving crystals in his room, sometimes putting small ones in his pockets. There were a few crystals that he knew and what they meant, the first was a rose quartz. 
It had been his favorite because you gave it to him explaining how it meant unconditional love. He kept with him constantly, making sure it would never leave his body, whether wearing it as a necklace, or just leaving it in his pocket. 
With all your powers, it puts a mental drain on you, leaving you tired and stressed by the end of week, which was when you started meditating. 
Your grandmother taught you how to meditate when you first started showing your powers, she explained that not only it calmed you down, slowed down your heart beat, practiced breathing exercises but it also heightened your spiritual awareness. 
You loved mediating, you started and ended your week with it, and always invited Xavier to join you who always declined.
As the semester started getting tough, midterms coming up, everyone at Nevermore was on their last string, stressed to the max. 
Xavier was one of them, he had an exam on a project on exams, his work piling up on him, barely seeing him the past couple weeks. It hadn’t been on purpose it was just Xavier never had a time to take a breath or relax.
Taking the time when he was out studying with Ajax, you snuck into his room, moving all your mediation stuff into his, setting it up into his room. Your little rug was on his floor, setting up candles and crystals around the room, the lights off, the blinds closed. 
Coming up to his room, Xavier smelt that familiar incense that was always in your room, smiling to himself before opening up the door. Seeing you on the floor of his room, smiling at him. 
“C’mon.” You gestured, Xavier just nodded, pulling off his jacket, setting his stuff down before joining you on the floor. Mimicking your legs, crossing them over, resting his hands on his knees. 
“Let’s meditate together.” You smiled, Xavier just nodded, following your instructions. Leading him through a short breathing exercise, you kept your hands on your knees, your eyes closed, breathing in and out. 
Peaking your eyes open, you already saw Xavier looking at you, smiling softly, before closing your eyes again. 
As you finished explaining what to do, both of you were quiet. You tried as best as you could to explain, muttering soft words of encouragement to him, reminding him. 
The room was quiet when you heard it, it was a little hiccup, followed by a sniffle. Peaking your eyes open again, you saw Xavier starting to cry.
Not being able to hold in anymore, Xavier let out a cry, gasping for air. Coming up to him, you wrapped your arms around his neck, letting his head rest on your shoulder. 
“Shh.” You cooed, “It’s okay.”
Holding him as his sobs turned into sniffles, you pulled him away from you, cradling his face. 
Smiling softly, you wiped away his tears, kissing the tip of his nose. “Do you want to talk about it?”
Xavier was quiet for a moment, trying to figure out the right words, “I-just..”
“Hey it’s okay, take a deep breath.” You placed your hand over his heart, “Take your time baby.”
“I never felt like that before, and it was overwhelming.” He confessed softly, his eyes closed not wanting to see the look of disappointment or anger on your face. 
“Can you explain what the feeling was?” You were delicate with him knowing how your first time was, similar to his. 
“I felt calm, at peace and I never felt like that before and it scared me.” He said. Holding him tighter, you kissed his forehead, pushing some of the hair that fell on his forehead, tucking it behind his ear. 
“I know it's your first time.” You whispered, “All your emotions come crashing at the same time and you don’t know how to react but you did amazing Xavi, I’m proud of you.”
Xavier just smiled shyly under your gaze, hugging you tightly. Staying there for a moment, you started to pull away, Xavier not liking any of it, hugging you closer. 
“I know, I know,” You laughed, “I need to clean up and we can cuddle.” 
Keeping your promise, you tidied up, joining Xavier on the bed. 
Shifting around, you leaned against the headboard on his bed, Xavier sitting between your legs, his head rested on your chest. 
Running your hands through his hair, you massaged his scalp lightly. “You need to stop pushing yourself like that, you need some time to yourself to calm down.”
Xavier just hummed, his eyelights becoming heavy, fluttering shut. It didn’t take long for him to fall asleep, hearing how his breathing started to become deeper and slightly slower.
Looking down at him, the pad of your thumb just runs down the bridge of his nose, kissing the crown of his head, before falling asleep yourself.

“Close your eyes.”
The words were whispered by her ear and the sentiments encouraged with a kiss right below it. Aelin shivered, her skin pebbling from the gentle caress of breath and the anticipation of what would happen if she did as Rowan asked. He kissed her again, this time her neck, over and over until Aelin couldn’t help but sigh. 
Then Rowan rose over her, leaning in close enough for lips to brush but not quite kiss. “Come on, love.”
“What do I get?” Aelin’s hand ran over his bare shoulder, stopping when she reached the edge of his hair. They were both utterly bare, a sheet haphazardly draped wherever it pleased. They were spending a lazy, mid week morning in bed. Aelin had edits to do but Rowan was on that blessed sabbatical between books. He had the time, Aelin didn’t, but she wasn’t going to waste an opportunity to waste away some an hour or so under Rowan’s undivided attention. 
“That’s for me to know,” a sweet kiss that left her wanting more. “And for you to find out.”
With one final look into Rowan’s green eyes, Aelin finally did as he requested. The world dimmed and she frowned when every remnant of Rowan vanished. She didn’t like this and missed the closeness of his body. Maybe if she just took the tiniest peek she could find him, touch him.
“If you open your eyes, you’ll get nothing until tonight,” Rowan told her, like he was able to read her mind. 
“Bastard,” she huffed, making her boyfriend chuckle. 
Patience was not a virtue Aelin possessed, but it seemed Rowan wanted to play a game. She would try and have some to go along with it for him, she was gracious like that. There was shuffling of sheets and then the world dimmed just a little more. She could sense that Rowan was braced above her and still not touching her. Aelin was about to demand he do something when there was a ghost of a breath on her neck. Instantly every sense went on high alert as anticipation took over. There was a featherlight brush of Rowan’s lips over her pulse and then the fingers that tickled through the valley of her breasts nearly made her jump. As he laughed Rowan kissed her. When he pulled away Aelin chased after him, but she didn’t open her eyes. She wasn’t looking to ruin his amusement, she knew he was having fun.
“Stay still, Aelin,” Rowan said.
She knew she was in for it now. There was a smiling edge to his voice. Aelin tried to relax into the mattress, it was hard to do while trying to predict what Rowan would do next. He dragged his fingers the same path that they’d travelled before, right down the centre of her chest. Rowan did that a few times, then added his thumb to sweep over the curve of her breast. That teasing touch had Aelin humming her approval and in the hope that it would encourage him to do more. It did, and Rowan returned to her neck, kissing and nipping. Aelin fisted her hands in the sheets to prevent her from breaking Rowan’s command. Then his hand was moving downward, making long sweeps and getting a little lower each time. This was an exercise in perseverance and Aelin was holding on by a thread. Especially when his fingers dipped even lower finally about to graze over—
The sound of the door bell had Aelin’s eyes snapping open, finding Rowan already looking at her. 
“Leave it,” Aelin said, hips pushing up to encourage Rowan to keep going. 
“It’s probably my author’s copy.” Rowan sounded pained. “I can’t.”
The bell rang again and Rowan swore. He was in no state to answer the door, the person making the delivery would cop quite the eyeful. Aelin growled, rolling out of bed and grabbing a t-shirt.
“What are you doing?” Rowan asked. 
Aelin yanked the shirt so that her head popped out of the collar. “You can’t answer the door, you’ll take someone’s eye out with that thing.” 
She pointed to his raging erection, leaving him laughing as she hurried to the door. Rowan lived in a tidy little town house but it was still a race to the front door—Aelin nearly tripped rushing down the stairs. Opening the front door she saw the postie was returning to his bike, Rowan’s package in hand. 
“Wait!” She called out, darting down the three concrete steps of the porch.
The postman turned, and their eyes went wide. It was very easy to piece together what had kept Aelin inside so long. Dressed in a man’s shirt, hair a mess, and she wouldn’t be surprised if there was a hickey on her neck. 
“Just sign here,” the postie said, politely averting his eyes. 
Aelin took the device and scribbled away on the little screen and then was handed the package. It looked like Rowan was right judging by the weight and shape of it. This was his copy of his brand spanking new book. Aelin pulled the hem of her borrowed shirt down when she got to the steps, making sure her ass was covered as she nearly bounded back to the front door. She loved it when her new books arrived, it was always a thrill to see a story printed and bound. It was safe to assume Rowan would feel the same. 
Shutting the front door with her foot, Aelin turned the package over in her hands. Rowan had been very secretive about this book and it had her curious as to what was hiding inside. When she got to the top of the landing she pulled the tab, ripping the cardboard packaging down the side. She almost reached in and pulled the entire book out, but in the end she stopped herself. Receiving an author's copy was sacred and even though she was nosy and maybe a little obnoxious, Aelin wouldn’t take this moment away from him. 
Aelin stepped into Rowan’s bedroom, the morning light giving it a soft, warm glow. He was still lying in bed, gloriously naked and smiling at her. 
“Your book came,” Aelin said, waving the package in her hand. 
Rowan sat up a little bit. “How do you know?”
Aelin shrugged as she sat on the bed. “I may have had a tiny peek.”
“You opened my book?” There was an unexpected edge to his voice but Aelin supposed she deserved it. 
She handed him the book but he was already pulling it from her hand, looking slightly panicked for no apparent reason. 
“I did think about opening it, but,” Aelin gave an apologetic grimace. “Author sense kicked in and I thought better of it.”
Rowan shot her a chiding look and just straight up ripped open the rest of the cardboard packaging in two. Aelin watched intently, seeing a red cover and a hint of gold lettering. The book fell open in his hands and he thumbed through until he got to the front pages. His eyes darted over the words and judging from where in the book he was Aelin assumed it was the dedication page or maybe the table of contents. Rowan snapped the book shut, flipping round so that it faced Aelin the right way up. 
“Have a look,” he told her. 
Aelin took the book without taking her eyes off the man in front of her. There was something going here and she had no idea what it was. She was the schemer, and she felt out of her depth when it was turned on her. Her fingers ran over the embossed cover, tracing of the elegant design Rowan had chosen. The title was The Flame Princess, and it looked like it wasn’t related to any of his previous works. Aelin started at the beginning, reading the title page, glancing over the publishing information, the list of other books Rowan had written. And then she got to the dedication.
For Aelin. I love you. To whatever end.
Aelin’s heart was beating so hard she could hear it in her ears. Eight words had altered her world just like that, and she read them over and over until she knew each letter by heart. Rowan had a way with words, it was what made him such a good writer. But flowery words weren’t needed here, because as the man that held her heart this is who he was. Open and direct, an honest man who wanted to tell the whole world how he felt. The simplicity took nothing away from the sentiments. It was perfect. 
“You love me,” Aelin said, her cheeks aching from her wide smile. 
“I do, Aelin,” Rowan said, bringing himself level with her face. “And I want the whole world to know it.”
She looked back down at the book, the page blurring as her eyes misted over. Her fingers ran over the words, this moment would live in her memories forever. Aelin knew that she loved him back, she had just been searching for the right time to tell him. Nothing seemed right and thank Mala she had waited so that they could have this moment instead. Looking up and blinking away the tears Aelin found Rowan watching her, something shy about his expression. Aelin put the book on the nightstand with reverence, leaving her hands free to cup his face. 
“I love you, too,” she told him, her heart leaping at the blinding smile Rowan gave her. “How could I not, when you’re ready to declare it to the whole world.”
“Aelin.”
Her name was the only warning before Rowan pounced, easily pulling her beneath him. Aelin had kept her hands on his cheeks and used that leverage to bring him down for a kiss. With every caress of their lips the words were reiterated.
I love you, I love you, I love you. 
But Aelin couldn’t resist, she had to say it aloud again. “I love you, Rowan Whitethorn.”
Rowan brushed their noses together. “I love you, Aelin Galathynius. To whatever end.”
Hearing those words Aelin’s heart felt like it was about to burst from her chest. She would never tire of hearing it. 
“Now,” Rowan said with a brazen smile. “Where were we?”
“Oh, gods.” Aelin choked out. He wasted no time, Rowan took up exactly where they had left off.
His fingers slid to her very centre before dragging up to her clit. Aelin’s moan shuddered out of her, Rowan swallowing the sounds. He teased her, driving her mad because he withheld just enough to keep her on the edge of release. He relented, just a little, but not enough. 
Rowan’s fingers played at her entrance and his thumb pressed down on her clit, making her ache for him in the best way. 
“Rowan,” her voice was a breathless whisper. “I wanna come.”
Aelin was impressed that she managed to get the words out her brain was so frazzled. Rowan adding a finger inside her didn’t help the matter. 
“But where, Aelin?” Rowan’s mouth was an insistent weight on her neck.
“What?” She asked, hips moving in time with his taunting fingers.
“Where do you want to come?” Rowan kissed the hollow of Aelin’s throat, downward to the centre of her chest, and then she whimpered embarrassingly when his teeth closed over a taut nipple through the fabric of his shirt.
Aelin wondered why and hated that she was still dressed, what a disaster. Without the godsdamned she would be able to feel Rowan's teeth and the warmth of his mouth. 
“Aelin,” Rowan said, his thumb circling the nerves at the apex of her thighs, like that could wring an answer from her. 
And through some miracle it did. 
“Your cock, Rowan,” Aelin decided. “I want you inside me. Please.”
Rowan gave her a single kiss. “Anything for the woman I love.”
When Rowan drew back to get a condom Aelin took the opportunity to get rid of the t-shirt. She flopped back onto the pillows, waiting, knowing that Rowan loved her like this. Naked and sprawled in his bed. Foil tore and Rowan rolled the condom on himself while Aelin slid a leg either side of him. She watched as his gaze darkened further as he took in every part of her that was on display. His hands started at her ankles, then pressed their way up her body, touching and feeling everywhere that had fire sparking in her blood. 
They were eye to eye now, and Aelin draped her arms over his shoulders and back. “You love me? Then show me.”
“I’ll fuck you so well it’s the only thing you remember,” Rowan said. 
Before Aelin could think of some smartass remark to make in return, Rowan rolled his hips and pushed into her until he had nothing left to give. She moaned his name before he started moving and intelligible words were beyond her. Rowan’s thrusts were slow but thorough, her body shuddering with each one. Aelin clung to him, one hand buried in his hair and the other clawed into his back. 
“I love you,” Rowan whispered harshly, his voice giving away that he was just as wrecked as she was. “You are it for me, Aelin. I’ll never love anyone like I love you.”
“Oh, Rowan,” Aelin gasped. “I love you so much.”
“Are you close, Aelin?” He asked. “Is that the only thing you remember? My name and that you love me?”
“Yes, Rowan—” Aelin moaned as her body surrendered to the feel of him. “I love you.”
Rowan groaned and her core pulsed, her release right there, just out of reach. His hand coasted over her body until it reached her thigh. Rowan’s fingers splayed in a broad grip, slanting their bodies together so he hit deeper. 
With absolute tenderness, Rowan kissed her. Like she was the most precious thing in the world. “I want to hear you say that forever.”
Gentle was not what Aelin wanted right now, even as her heart flipped in her chest. “Harder, I need it,” she begged.
Rowan gave it to her. He angled his hips to apply the right kind of pressure where she needed it. Each thrust was precise and only took a few more before Aelin was breaking apart. She came, moaning from deep in her throat and then the babbling took over. 
“I love you, I love you,” Aelin repeated the words over and over until her racing heart began to slow. 
Rowan’s hips stilled and he groaned into Aelin’s neck. They both went limp, Rowan had the care to roll off her before he collapsed completely. Aelin wasn’t so gracious. She twisted so that she lay on him, her ear pressed right over his heart. A heart that belonged to her. Aelin kissed Rowan’s bare skin, feeling the flushed warmth on her lips. His hand found its way to her hair, brushing it aside so he could see her properly. 
Aelin looked up at her boyfriend, her very handsome boyfriend who loved her. She couldn’t wait until his new book came out and all his readers could see those words and know what a wonderful man she had the privilege of calling her own. It might even deter some of the more avid fangirls. That thought made her laugh, and she tried to muffle the sound on Rowan’s chest. 
“What is it?” He asked, a thumb grazing over her cheek. 
“When that book comes out you’re going to break some hearts,” Aelin told him. 
His brows furrowed. “Why?”
Aelin propped herself up on his chest, tracing the patterns of his tattoos. “Because you love me, and just me. All those girls who have been fawning over you will finally know where your heart lies.”
Rowan chuckled, catching her hand and laying it over said heart. “With you.”
“Just so you know, I won’t be outdone by this, your little declaration,” Aelin said. “I’ll have to think of something more… something better.”
“I look forward to it,” Rowan said, sounding all too pleased by the challenge she had set herself. “So. Through my words and deeds, have I given you sufficient declarations of my love for you?”
Aelin pushed herself up and brushed back Rowan’s hair, contemplating her answer. Then she smirked at him before she kissed him deeply, leaving him breathless when she broke away just enough to give him her answer. “Not quite yet, I think I need a few more. Just to be sure.”

Moving Meditation Motivations Discovering the Right Focus Technique
There are some people who can sit through meditation while other individuals simply cannot. During a passive meditation they find themselves fidgeting and unable to focus. This leads to further frustrations, and an unwillingness to try any sort of meditation again.
The advice most people hear is to try again or that they were not doing it right. Well, guess what? There are other ways to possibly reach a meditative state of mind when your body is in motion. Moving meditation, if done accurately can give a person the same benefits as passive meditation where one sits.
How to Choose Your Activity
It should be something that engages you and holds your focus for an extended period roughly anywhere from 15 to 30 minutes a day. To gain a better meditative state one must do something that is continuous, fluid, methodical, and repetitive so that the movements become more automatic in time.
For example, a walk in the park at a steady pace putting your attention on your breath, and taking in the sights that surround you such as:
how the sun feels on your skin
the clouds overhead
if there is a wind breeze
examining the trees and their own leaves
It's all about the state of mind you're able to achieve being one of mindfulness, of living in the moment, of relaxed awareness.
Other Suggestions
Walk a Labyrinth: One walks clockwise in a circle or in a particular pattern towards the center of a destination point. It should not be like a maze where you find yourself frustrated towards the end, but choosing a pattern that fits you and your needs.
Qigong: This is a 5,000-year-old Chinese health exercise technique. Its goal is to synchronize the breath with the mind's intentions. One moves with flow and grace as they further learn this skill.  A regular practice can lower your blood pressure and boost your immunity, flexibility, and circulation.
Example:
1. Relax your body, imagining that your feet are sinking deep into the earth. Your hands are in front of your lower belly, palms facing each other, forming a ball of energy.
2. Inhale. Open your arms to the sides as if to expand the ball, while raising your arms, to shoulder height.
3. At shoulder level, turn the thumbs back and the palms up and exhale, releasing any tension from your body as you drop and relax your shoulders, elbows, and hands.
4. Inhale, as you raise your arms up over your head.
5. Palms facing down, deeply exhale as you lower them, “showering” the body with cleansing, revitalizing energy. Repeat three times.
Yoga Exercises: There are several different methods of yoga, some having religious dogma attached while others focus primarily on the exercises themselves. Everyone has different preferences, but if you are looking to simply relax and reach a meditative state then I suggest trying out the exercises themselves. This is a practice to connect the body and mind into one.
Tai Chi:  Short for Tai ji quan, or T'ai chi ch'üan, is an internal Chinese martial art practiced for both its defense training, its health benefits and meditation. The term Taiji refers to a philosophy of the forces of yin and yang.
Karate Katas:  A practice of detailed patterns of movements either solo or in pairs. Karate kata are executed as a specified series of a variety of moves, with stepping and turning, while attempting to maintain perfect form.
Art: painting, drawing, etc.
Crafts: knitting, crocheting, paper folding, weaving, anything rhythmic.
Exercise: stationary bike, weightlifting, elliptical machine, step climbing, sports, etc.
Playing a game that has a repeating theme and is not too difficult that one can get into.
Music: focusing on the song's rhythm, beats, and possibly lyrics. Pick something that reached out to you as an individual.

day 4: today is the day you will shift. anchor this firmly in your mindset. as you go through your day and routine, consciously connect every action to shifting. drinking water, brushing your teeth, showering, watching tv, breathing, eating— associating literally every activity, no matter how mundane, to bringing you closer to shift. even negative experiences can be reframed as stepping stones toward this goal. let this relentless positive focus saturate your consciousness. this day takes you into your desired reality.

alright!! this is technically not day 4 as it would’ve been monday the 5th not today (tuesday 6th) so, excuse that, i’ll explain. anyway! before we get into this, i just want to state: no, i did not shift, but maybe got close. this attempt is similar to another. i will explain what happened and my overall thoughts about this process. long post!! ⋆⋅☆⋅⋆what happened?⋆⋅☆⋅⋆
so to address the timeline, i did attempt to shift monday which is the official 4th day but right when it hit 12am for me since i’m in bed by then. i love “awake” methods, they’re all i usually do but i can only do them at night when i am left alone and nothing is bothering me. i’m busy during the day and there’s never a quiet moment.
i did everything as usual, i got myself ready for bed, buzzing with good energy and semi-controlled giddiness. i lay down, put my headphones on and i listen to reya’s guided meditation. i get into a nice deep calm state, i don’t feel my body too much and i’m very relaxed. i affirm and affirm, keep relaxed. i don’t feel any “symptoms” per se, maybe like a tingling sensation here and there but i barely notice (i know i don’t need to experience these). so this continues on and eventually i go in and out of consciousness. the whole time i doze off and come back, i hear the subliminal music in my ears and no cue i’m in my wr. i remember getting frustrated but not why, i wasn’t mad i wasn’t in my wr or anything i know that for sure. really strange, but i’m not thinking much of it. in summary, i fell asleep and nothing much happened.

that brings me to 12am today. i got ready for bed as usual and around 11:20pm (of yesterday) i’m finally in bed. i’m looking through notifs, apps, etc., then i decide to shift again. because why not? fuck it, let’s do it.
so after reviewing my script (and adding to it), i lay back with alunir’s guided meditation playing in my headphones. i’ve used it several times before. i relax immediately, etc etc etc., you know how it goes. again, not many “symptoms”, i barely notice the smaller ones like tingling. i get into a very very relaxed state, can’t feel my body much and i affirm and set my intentions as i hear what alunir says. like the last attempt, i doze off a little at first but then i’m fully awake. and soon i start smelling the faintest scents of rain and cologne (scripted this for my wr). i’m even calmer than last time this happened, got excited but i shut that shit down quick to focus. another cue i had in mind to know i’m in my wr is connor “waking” me up. he would gently wake me up not by talking but touch. (i’ve yet to post abt him, i will soon. he’s connor from a game called detroit become human. he’s like my assistant(?) in wr)
man i just remembered as i’m typing this up, i felt a shove to my arm/shoulder. it wasn’t aggressive but not so gentle, somewhere in the middle. i can’t tell if this was just a jerk my body did or something more for a split second. i don’t know what to define it as but i’m more sure it was just a jerk than anything else.

i think this is an amazing process. i believe it really helps lock down your belief in shifting as well as whatever you want to work on while using this. i felt pretty confident about my abilities to shift and it helped strengthen my positivity about shifting as a whole.
throughout all the exercises of this process, it helped strengthen so many parts of myself. reflecting on my journey thus far and what i hope to get out of one of many lives is so incredibly motivating and eye-opening. it gets you to really sit down and think about what you want and what you see for your overall life. this process really helps you see your dr(s) as a real place. not something you can only dream of but a real place where you can be. where everyone around you is real and have very real lives.
i definitely recommend others to try this process out. even if you don’t end up shifting, it can help strengthen your mindset and get you to think deeply about your dr(s). in turn, get you that much more closer to shifting!! ◝(ᵔᗜᵔ)◜

In general, I tend to feel a pretty big disconnect between how 'anxiety' is typically described and what anxiety actually feels like for me, to the point where I didn't actually realize that what I was experiencing was anxiety until I was like 27 years old even though there's not really anything else you could call it.
I joined a weekly anxiety workshop group several years ago and it was a baffling experience because it almost felt like I had joined a peanut butter sandwich workshop and everyone else was visibly assembling and eating turkey sandwiches before my eyes. Like, am I the only one whose sandwich tastes like this? Am I the only one whose peanut butter sandwich isn't improved by putting mayo on it?
Almost the whole workshop was people talking about anxieties due to managing their responsibilities at work, whether they're any good at their job and family duties, workplace social politics, and worrying whether people in their life care about them. We'd do things like breathing exercises and stuff to center ourselves in the 'now' instead of worrying and wondering. To me, these worries all seem super manageable and the kinds of concerns I usually deal with pretty well.
For me, anxiety almost always comes from feeling like I'm in physical danger in some way RIGHT NOW. Like I get stuck in this loop of constantly checking some part of my body over and over again because I'm worried something might be wrong with it and I might be dying. Or I'm lying in bed and hear the dishwasher make a funny sound and think someone broke into my house and is going to kill me and sit awake in bed all night freaking out. I get these weird feelings of certain dread and foreboding like, "You will get hit by a car and die if you walk to the library tonight." And the weirdest one (which I was struggling with during the anxiety group but haven't for a few years) is sometimes I get stuck manually monitoring my breathing and swallowing until I start, like, hyperventilating for days on end.
So breathing exercises tend to freak me out because as soon as I start consciously controlling my breathing, I can't stop and I'm stuck breathing manually for days, afraid to sleep because I'm worried I'll stop in my sleep. Physically centering exercises where we notice sensations in our body and things around us don't help me because I start noticing signs that I might be dying and then worry about them for days after the physical centering exercise. I feel like my anxiety comes from being extremely present in and aware of my body, not the other way around.
In general, gentle self care isn't soothing for me. I want to know that I'm not going to die in the next 30 minutes, not waste what might be my valuable remaining minutes doing something soothing and relaxing.
I also got some apps to manage anxiety and I found myself being like, "Well bananas certainly don't make my peanut butter sandwich WORSE, so I'll start incorporating those into my daily peanut butter sandwich routine I guess," but didn't really feel like it helped. I don't really see how stuff like journaling, yoga, etc. really help these feelings at all. Affirmations don't help. I don't need to feel like I'm 'good enough' as a person, I want to know if I'm in danger.
Does anyone else get this kind of anxiety?

I have a bit of a dillemma...
I fucking love edging and denial. It gets me wet and needy like nothing else (aside from maybe anal) but everytime I edge/do denial I mentally crash so fucking hard a few days later like someone stole every bit of dopamine I had and the only way to get myself out of that pit is to cum four or five times in fairly rapid succession...
You got any tips on how to avoid a crash like that? Or should I just stop with it until I have a partner/Dom(me) who can help me through those bouts?
tbh it sounds a bit like a sub drop!!! which is normal to have with denial, it’s normal to have with any type of kinky stuff and tbh it’s almost more common with denial than an orgasm bc rather than all the sexy hormones getting resolved u work urself up without release 😞 (⬅️is turned on by this but understands how it can turn into a physiologic nightmare)
my tip would be to do some kind of aftercare!!!! after any kind of play whether i came or not i used to always immediately just clean up and go back to whatever i was doing and pretend it hadnt happened. but i’d always feel a lil depressed/weird/ashamed/altered ranging in severity for a period after. i had to finally have a rly bad crash after a piss scene (bc ukno…. more shame lol) to realize u still need to do some self care to ur body and mind after playing even if ur alone!!
what i do now is stay where i am for a few minutes, i dont immediately rush to clean up and move on. i relax and catch my breath and just let myself feel the comedown, and i run/pet my hands along my body like someone else would soothing me, and tell myself (or imagine someone saying) in stern soothing authority voice like: “Ur okay, u did good, this is normal and fun, this was nice, ur okayyyyyy silly goose. Relax, ur okay” etc. the touching is good for nervous system (u can also look up vagus nerve stimulation, there’s a lot of exercises u can do with just ur hands to reset ur nervous system any time ur anxious! not just in kink) + self reassurance rly helps mentally. there’s also like, u can google Aftercare ASMR which is what i do sometimes to listen for a few mins when i feel anxious after play lol, im not rly an asmr person so idk if it has been any more effective for me than the self-talk but some ppl like it so im mentioning it!!!!
moving on from that initial check-in, i start slowly moving (move around legs first, like testing movement, then i stretch) and i drink lots of water, breathe deep for a bit, keep stretching for whatever position u were in. only then do i start cleaning up. i also try to reward myself after cleanup, like snuggling under soft blankets with a good book or mindless feelgood show (mine is like………….. Animal Information videos. clickbait shit like The Top Ten Dinosaurs Ranked lmao) and a nice snack!!!!
that is my lil routine and it has rly helped me with the shame/crash/bad feelings i used to have after both edging or cumming!! modify for whatever helps you, it sounds corny but it rly has made me feel better than i used to (and then im also feeling better again faster to go at myself all over again sooner 😎) it can also help if u have someone to talk to, i have an intermittent fwb who’s kinky so there’s been times it helped me to text and say like Omg im feeling bad😞 bc I did x gross thing 😞😞😞 and get reassurance lol

If Nanami Kento is anything, he is a worrier. 
I feel like from the second the light meets his eyes, he’s worrying. His morning kiss buys him but only a few minutes of peace before he’s stressing about the day again. He worries about a lot of things--making sure your morning cup is brewed perfectly, your breakfast is on the table before you come down, making sure to spend enough time with you before he has to go, getting to work on time, etc. He’s never messed any of these things up, but there’s always the concern that he will. 
He cherishes any time that he gets to spend with you. Even if it’s a quick peck on the lips as you’re rushing out the door he will cherish those few seconds and it’s back to worrying. He has relaxation methods that you’ve introduced to him like grounding himself in the moment, breathing exercises, and going through his five senses to name three things but none of them calm him down in the same way that a simple text from you does. It doesn’t have to be elaborate or anything, but something to remind him that you’re thinking of him or that you’re okay. 
His worries carry out into the evening, but they’re a different kind of worry. He worries that your throat is going to hurt tomorrow from the way that you’re screaming. Or that you’re going to get a cramp in your legs from the way he has you bent. Sometimes he worries about the creaking bed under the two of you, worries that it’s going to give one of these days but it takes a simple tug of his hair to bring his attention back to you. 
You. 
His sweet darling that takes care of him in ways that he can’t take care of himself. He doesn’t care if he cooks or cleans most of the time or if he pays for anything because to him, your love is priceless. He would sell his soul if it meant he can guarantee his forever with you. 
You’re always there every morning to greet him with a kiss. Always there to make sure he doesn’t sleep through any alarms and that he does a little bit of calming meditation in the morning to start his day right (all it takes is closing one’s eyes and have a few moments of deep breathing). You’re always there to compliment him on the morning cup or the breakfast he whipped up and always there to pack a nice healthy lunch for him for the day. 
You’re always there when he comes home, waiting on the couch with a book and two glasses of wine, one untouched and ready for your beloved to sip from. Always there to welcome him with open arms, to kiss him like you haven’t seen him in years and to listen to him when he needs to vent. Of course, he then worries about you and to hear how your day was, and until you’ve reassured him that everything is okay now, his anxiety won’t reside. 
There doesn’t go a second in the day where he isn’t worrying. But at least he’s got you there to help him destress ;)

Little Tips about Eclipse Seasons
(May be obvious to many, but as a Scorpio lagna, it took me time to make peace with my weird needs and experiences, so everything is a discover til today)
If you're in doubt about it, don't do it
If it demands a lot - even if it looks simple and everyone is doing it - don't do it. Let it be. You need to save your energy.
Wait a little to start projects
Maybe it's nice to start some energy treatment (I'm back to mine, hopefully before Oct. 25th).
Stick only to your routine obligations.
Dedicate free time to recharge as much as you can - and in ways as silly/simple as can be.
Journaling, Pranayama, prayer, abdominal breathing, mantra chanting/listeing, Abhyanga/massage with oils according to your Ayurveda constitution, etc.
When in doubt, choose the activity that brings you more SILENCE
Relaxing and recharging, clearing your thoughts and vision is more urgent than having fun and socializing. Just for a while, ok?
Again, my experience:
Water placements (specially Scorpio), 8th house and 12th house placements:
If neglected, come back to spiritual practices you used to do.
It's never too late God is always eager to help.
Also, unless you have a very strong Pitta in your constitution, go slow with physical exercise. Priotize calming your mind.
Save energy by not overextending your body
nor your attention to intrusive thoughts and fantasies.

Remember God never fails and exerts control over the most difficult things in life.
Remember God always means well and works by yourside.
Evil is as strong as our minds (our free will) allows it to be.
Avoid enemeshing yourself with the collective...
...by identifying yourself with social events = emotionally reacting to them.
This is your ego masking as organic emotion.
It starts with classifying the event: 'good', 'bad', 'unaceptable', 'disgusting', 'life-changing', 'life-saving'.
The ego demands a position - what it's incredibly arrogant. Who are you to know? Who are any of us to know for sure?
Even specialists admit to know little and refrain from manifesting emotions around historical or social events.
Labels and emotions are not solutions, but displays of virtue that your ego demands from you (and creates them itself) in order to convince you that it IS you and it IS good...
...so you keep being a slave of coping mechanisms and racing thoughts disguised as reason and morality.
Be humble:
Silence you mind when approaching reality
Save energy:
Your attention and emotions are preserved by humbling yourself to reality and refraining from labeling it.
Use this energy to exert your free will:
Use your imagination to conceive concrete things that bring you pleasure/joy
Use your conscious mind to execute these plans relentlessly in the present time.
These are what the mind is for. It should serve your birth right to cocreate reality with God.
Not to deny it or override it, not to defend yourself from it.
And finally:
If no one is doing it, or you feel like no one is doing it,
Remember I'm rooting for you.
Whoever you are - and whomever I am,

What I Do & How I Can Help You...
I have studied & now practice a niche service which I refer to as Astro-Remediation. Self-Care Acts In The Name of Psyche

You will quickly learn that I am a sucker for lists. As I've started journaling again and on this new spiritual path I've started making a few lists. Things I can do in the name of Psyche, things she might like as an offering, etc. I think I want to start sharing some of those lists here.
As you know Psyche is the goddess of the soul. From what I've researched and what I've been sensing mental health and self-care is something really important to her. Therefore things that you do to improve your mental health and just self-care acts, in general, can straight up just be devotional acts to her and offerings. Though as I've been following more blogs and doing more research that also seems to be the case for quite a few deities.
I wanted to share the lists of self-care acts I made that I plan on doing as devotional acts and offerings to Psyche.
Eating a healthy and energizing meal for breakfast to start my day off right.
Taking a longer and more purposeful shower. Even better if I get soaps for scents that I connect with her (not a huge bath person but that works just as well.)
Breathing exercises to calm and relax (especially as someone who struggles greatly with anxiety.)
Stretching in the morning.
Gratitude journaling/writing something you're proud of doing that day.
Dancing (very mood-improving and soul-lifting.)
Coloring in the adult coloring books I have (can be very relaxing and calming.)

Here I go again. TMJ flare-up.
Most people need a night guard at night to keep from grinding etc. My issue is daytime jaw clenching. I actually wake up with my jaw feeling pretty good and by the time I go to bed it’s been hurting for hours. (When I’m in a flare-up)
I have a special ice pack I use at night that goes over my face, but I’m going to commit to doing the stretching exercises 5-10 times a day for  however long its needed during a flare-up. Then make it part of my morning, mid-afternoon, and evening stretching routine. Yes, I do stretches that often. Lol.. It’s been successful for my lower back pain.
I know my jaw muscles are used to being tense. They just are. At this point, it's their default position. So, I have to re-train them.
A specialist once told me that when I’m awake to set a timer for every 20 mins then do deep breathing exercises. He told me to do it for weeks until I was able to teach my jaw to be relaxed and not be tense all the time.
I’ve been battling anxiety and other mental health issues for years. I’m aware that this is where I store my stress. So, I’m going to try it. It sounded crazy, but I am sick of these flare-ups. And um, I was given this advice a year ago. Sigh.
The one thing I’ve learned when it comes to connection between  chronic pain and mental health is that there are ways to retrain your brain. It doesn't fix everything, but at least it is a tangible thing that I can have some control over. And see progress.
A timer, eh?
Here’s set of exercises that are useful. There’s more. But I need a goal that seems obtainable if I’m going to do them on a regular bases.
1> Stretching Exercises
When it comes to chewing and grinding, masticatory muscles play an important part. Stretching and massaging jaw muscles with fingertips for a few minutes at least ten times a day can offer relief.
Another simple jaw stretching exercise involves merely opening the mouth slowly and closing it. Open your mouth slowly and spread it as wide as possible, keep it in the open position for a few seconds, and close it slowly.
Moving the lower to the left and right sides slowly is another good way to stretch the TMJ.
2> Breathing Exercises
Also referred to as Equal Breathing, this simple form of breathing exercise requires the patient to inhale for four to five seconds, and then exhale slowly through the nose. It is considered the primary step toward reducing the amount of stress.
3> Forward Jaw Movement
The exercise involves placing a wooden stick or plastic spoon between the upper and lower front teeth and moving the lower jaw forward and backward. You can also move the jaw slowly to the left and right sides for a few minutes. Initially, you might experience some pain; however, the exercise would become more comfortable with time and help the jaw to recover.
4> Tongue Up
Tongue up involves placing the tip of the tongue on the mouth’s roof and gently applying pressure while slowly opening and closing the mouth at the same time. Doing it for a few minutes at least five to ten times a day can offer relief.
5> Partial Goldfish Exercise
It is almost similar to the goldfish exercise. Place the tip of the tongue on the mouth’s roof area. Then, the next step is placing your middle finger on the area below the chin and your thumb on the TMJ joint, in front of the ear. While your fingers are in position, let your lower jaw drop slowly and bring it up again to close the mouth. Repeat this exercise at least six times in one sitting

so, I had a science teacher in 7th-8th grade that taught us a lot about managing anxiety (she had severe anxiety herself). she helped me so much, so I wanted to make a post here telling you the things she told me, so she can help more people!
1. during panic attacks, when you feel like you can't breathe, it's usually because you're not breathing out. it feels like you're not getting enough air, but you're actually just not breathing out enough, which makes it feel like you're not getting any air in. so, keeping this in mind, it's a lot easier to try and breathe when you focus on breathing out.
2. box breathing! before I met this teacher, I had heard the 5-7-9 breathing thing a million times before, but I always forgot it when I needed it, and it was overwhelming to think about. box breathing is also a breathing exercise, but simpler. basically, you count to a number, hold your breath for that same number, breathe out, and then hold your breathe again for the same count.
so, for example, I'll use 3. so, you'd breathe in for 3 seconds, hold your breath for 3 seconds, breathe out for 3 seconds, and then hold your breath for 3 seconds. the thing I like most about this is how adaptable it is. you can adjust the time depending on how fast you're breathing. so, if you're hyperventilating and breathing really fast, you could try doing it for 2 seconds, and slowly increasing the time. it's also helpful to draw a box in the air with your finger. it gives you something to focus on.
3. progressive muscle relaxation. there's guided meditation videos online for this one! basically, you lay down, close your eyes, and focus on relaxing your muscles. you start with your toes, then go up to your legs, then your hands, etc. and you go really slow, focusing on specific areas. it really helps you realize how tense you are sometimes.
4. counting and spelling. this one helps me, but it really depends on the person. it's something that you've privately heard before ("count to 10"), but for some reason it works better for me. counting can be anything from counting to 10, counting the amount of lines on a paper, how many pairs of shoes there are in a room, etc. it helps ground you to your surroundings while also giving you something to focus on.
spelling is kind of similar, and it's exactly how it sounds; just spelling words. you could spell a word that you can see in front of you, or spell words in your mind. depending on how complex the words are, it can really distract your mind from worries.
4. touching something cold. this is another thing you may have heard before, but it's still helpful sometimes. holding ice cubes in your hands is one way to do this, but really anything cold can work; cold showers, water bottles, ice packs, even a cold floor. focusing on that cold feeling helps ground yourself and brings you back to reality.
my favorite thing to do is box breathing, but knowing that I'm probably not breathing out enough during panic attacks is honestly really helpful.
I hope this post helps someone! also, remember that things that work for one person might not work for another - everyone's different!

You may want to be checked for any deficiencies like anaemia or vitamin D as they can contribute or cause pain and fatigue. Taking a note of your symptoms and trying to find a trigger would be maybe useful too like your dietary issues. Stress and lack of sleep are huge factors too. Staying hydrated and eating a healthy diet, along with the recommended amount of sleep should help a lot but you have to factor in real life unfortunately 😔 it's easier said than done. Changing up your diet is a good idea. Listening to relaxing music, taking breaks, breathing exercises, prayer and reflection, being able to say no sometimes etc help me try and keep balance. Gentle exercise like going for walks or an small exercise stationary cycle? You can go swimming or find a sport that is suitable? I would also recommend quiet hobbies like scrapbooking, reading, Bible study, studying an interest in greater depth, sewing, knitting, cooking etc. It's just about finding balance and realising it is an ongoing journey. It is easy to fall by the wayside and not pick yourself up, but that's what you have to do 😊 I am so glad your cat is safe and well and things have calmed down for you considerably 💐
Thank you for your advice! Getting blood tests and checking for vitamin deficiencies would be the first thing I did if the healthcare system weren’t so terrible in my region. It pretty much only exists for people in traumatic accidents, and even then you might still get sent away. I wish I was exaggerating. I would give specific examples but the doctors/hospitals here have been on the news several times for how atrocious they are (not just understaffed, but genuinely horrid people), and I don’t want people knowing where I live. So, unfortunately, I have no choice but to just try and figure this out myself. I’ve been writing down now I feel after eating and so far I think sugar is one of the the main culprits. A 2019 Study: Frontiers in Psychology

Three-minute breathing

Set a timer for three minutes.
