stress colours starting to develop on a lot of my succulents! it's awesome - they really like the new lights thank god! lots of pinks and reds starting to show 🥰

in order; anacampseros sunrise (sand roses), sedum rubrotinctum (jellybeans),

crassula ovata (jade), crassula ovata gollum,

sedum pachyphyllum (also jellybeans, but bigger), echeveria agavoides romeo (romeo wax agave. not an agave despite the name)

kalanchoe daigremontiana (mother of thousands), pachyphytum oviferum (moonstone, missing a lot of its farina at the lower leaves but it's getting very pink)

aeonium haworthii kiwi (or just aeonium kiwi), echeveria pulidonis (pulido's echeveria. this guy just needs to root now 🤣)

Anyway. Plant side of tumblr I need some help!!

Okay so to preface: I have a kiwi aeonium that I kept in my windowsill in my room at home, that’s been alive for over a year. I’ve grown really attached to it, and have been meaning to get it a new pot since it’s outgrowing it’s old one (which wasn’t a good pot since it didn’t drain). Unfortunately, I am broke, and cannot get one at this time.

I also moved a couple weeks ago, and brought Kiwi with me. It turned back to plain green (which I remember learning was a sign of energy being spent elsewhere, such as rapid growth due to straining for sun), and developed black spots.

I’m not sure if the spots are from stress or disease. I tried researching briefly, but the first result I got was Root Rot, in which case I can’t do anything until I get a new pot.

My question is: should I continue to water Kiwi until I can get a new pot and clear out its root rot? Or would that hurt it worse? I really don’t want my plant to die, but I know what to do.

The flower of a Aeonium 'Kiwi'” Aeoniums are natives of Madeira, the Canary Islands and North Africa. Kiwi is a compact cultivar of the species. It grows to about 40cm but looks best if kept cut back. If you want to be really mean you can pinch out the flowers. Cut it back after flowering to retain it’s best shape otherwise it will end up “leggy”. As with a lot of succulents, make sure to propagate or give away the cuttings as they are really easy to strike.
