stress colours starting to develop on a lot of my succulents! it's awesome - they really like the new lights thank god! lots of pinks and reds starting to show 🥰

in order; anacampseros sunrise (sand roses), sedum rubrotinctum (jellybeans),

crassula ovata (jade), crassula ovata gollum,

sedum pachyphyllum (also jellybeans, but bigger), echeveria agavoides romeo (romeo wax agave. not an agave despite the name)

kalanchoe daigremontiana (mother of thousands), pachyphytum oviferum (moonstone, missing a lot of its farina at the lower leaves but it's getting very pink)

aeonium haworthii kiwi (or just aeonium kiwi), echeveria pulidonis (pulido's echeveria. this guy just needs to root now 🤣)

Two tiny wee echeveria pups that arrived no-root instead of bare-root. The Romeo on the left was rootless for two months in spite of all attempts with dry soil, damp soil, no soil, and anything short of busting out the paddles and screaming, “LIVE, DAMN YOU.” She lost almost half of her total leaves and started to shrivel up like a wadded-up pink Kleenex, and hope was pretty much lost until somebody on Reddit posted a tip involving balancing stubborn succulents on top of a shot glass just shy of touching water.

Nothing to lose at that point save a couple of bucks for cheap shot glasses, so.

Roots started growing in three days. Three days, after two straight months of shrively disappointment.

THREE DAYS.

When the Luming on the right arrived, I didn’t even bother with soil. Again, roots in three days. She didn’t lose more than three leaves.

I may never start an echeveria in soil again.

Obsession level: ridiculous! But I am satisfied with the state of these succulents. No filter on any of these, but assorted grow lights are being used to help them reach their full potential. (They wouldn’t look nearly as compact or colorful in regular lighting scenarios, there are too many overcast days right now)

I can’t pick a favorite. But I can tell you how proud I am of the echeveria cante (big white plant in the top photo, left hand side) and the bloom it made these past few months (photos 2 and 3). Another is on the way! Also my echeveria laui, white plant in photos 6 and 7 has experienced a major glow up: so many new leaves, I am just SO PROUD. Oh yes and my sunburst aeonium in photo #4 has grown SO FAST I wish I had a good before picture!

Soon I will need to permanently curb the collection bug, but it’s all good!

Left my Echeveria Agavoides Romeo Ebony in it’s original pot for the longest time till I was trying to repot it and discovered that it has not rooted :O. Plucked off a few leaves and trying to tease out some roots over water. Hope it works

Propgress September 2019-Jan 2020. E. Lauii are propping well, agavoides Romeo/Reuben all failed, and echeveria PVN propping with minimal success.

In my Star Wars succulent AU, the e.lauii are trooper clones growing up on Camino. Today, I put a batch of 5 props in their own little pot.

It took six months for the Romeo and three months for the Luming, respectively, but I finally have these girls established enough to put out new leaves!

(…and they already need a wider container. They spread out significantly more than expected, post-shot glass. I’m very reluctant to jostle them around much at the moment, though.)

Marisa’s most prized possession is an echeveria agavoides romeo from her girlfriend, Noelle.

Actually, this is the basis of Sasha’s and Marisa’s relationship. Marisa and Sasha fought side-by-side to save Sasha’s life. As a result, they are the closest of friends.
