I've finished Ten's run. I am devastated (kind of like I was at the end of Nine's, but even more because we got three series to get to know him and contrary to Nine, he didn't accept the end of his story, his last words were really gloomy), but frankly.... I freaking love Eleven. I mean, I already knew I would love him, but Tennant's era was just so SO sad.

Ten never found peace and watching him disaster after disaster weighs on your heart like nothing else ever will; even my mom, who's usually totally unphased finds it sometimes hard to watch his advendures, because he's such a dark character, and what makes it even worse is that he shines like a thousands suns: he's got a beautiful childish smile, sparkling eyes, adorable freckles, he's a total hyperactive and he's so loving, always in for a hug. So when he goes dark, it feels off, somehow...

So Eleven obviously feels more peaceful. Of course he has his moments too, but when he's facing an enemy he's afraid of, he actually looks scared, not dangerous. Ten sometimes felt like a vilain, whereas Eleven seems more fed up than anything when things go south.

I also love the plots of his episodes more than Ten's, so far.

As for Nine, I'm so sad Eccleston didn't get two more series. But it seemed fitting for his character, I think because Nine was fresh from the Time War and he never got time to rest. But he still seemed more chill and less murderous than Ten, strangely.

Anyway, if Nine and Eleven have taught me anything, it's that I don't just watch Doctor Who because of my love for David Tennant and Ten, but also for the amazing stories.

If you want to start watching Doctor Who, don't skip Nine, for the love of everything that is beautiful. And if you've skipped it, go back to it!

During one of your daily activities, you and a few other passers-bys pared witness to a new vilian attack in the middle of the street. You didn't care if people were evacuating, your time was spent by quietly gushing one the most handsomely hero's you know. Your beloved Song Bird, Nightwing.

But a little pest was aiding him.

Some girl in a magician garb had ruined one of your most treasured times of the day with her unwanted presence.

Two against one, they easily managed to get that vilian away, but...

After a spell gone awry, Nightwing had been turned into...

A BUNNY?!

You wanted squeal at his adorable form, but you still had to deal with little-miss-attention-stealer.

So, while the girl was questioning the vilain. You, playing a good, stupid, sweet little gothamite. Take the helpless bunny to your shop. Saying you'll help him find his owner.

Which the Nightbunny didn't seem to mind.

Instead, he snuggled into your chest area as his furry little chest puffs up with pride. Showcasing the blue bird from his costume that had turned into fur.

When the two of you made it back to your shop, you set him down on the counter as you went into the breakroom area to look for any snacks.

But you find the small bun playfully running after you, jumping over your feet as you walk. You stop and look down at Nightwing. He stomps his feet, kicking his feet as he runs circles around you. It kinda looked like a little dance, you pick him up carefully and press and small tender kiss to his whiskers.

The moment ends as the girl magician runs into your shop. Her face full of fear as she gasps for air, clearly showing she had run here. You glare at her, but she said that she lost her "pet bunny" and was looking for him.

Saying she was SO glad you found him. While he tried to pull Nightwing from your arms. You frown, but let up, giving the magic user the hero that transformed into a rabbit.

"I'm glad I found him, poor thing, he got lost in all of that vilian chaos. As a pet owner, shouldn't you be more reasonable?"

You smile gleefully as her faced warmed up in embarrassment for being scolded while Nightbun held a look of amusement in his button eyes.

"If you need a sitter, stop by any time!" You call out as she and Nightbunny leave.

You ignore the ache in your heart as you wipe down the counter.

"Hey (Y/N)!" Dicks voice greeted you with the click of your shop door accompanying him. You fix your face as you greet him back with your customer service smile.

"Hi Dick," you say forgetting you mostly called him Richard.

"You finally said it!" "What?"

"You said my nickname," he winked at you with a cheeky smile you knew since the first day you saw him.

"Sorry, just a slip of the tongue." You mumble as Dick tries to keep your attention with a new topic.

"So.. How do you feel about animals, more specifically, bunnies?"

I know King Magnifico is supposed to be a vilain but he is so my type physically (muscled, tall, great hairs, blue eyes, great clothes), mentally (confident but arrogant, dominant but charismatic, cocky but funny, loving and generous and kind (at first)), and socially (a powerful king). 💋

Cette année, nous sortons de notre chapeau magique de grandes figures classiques pour vous proposer un petit défi artistique en cette saison du frisson. Place aux présentations : voici Hewie le fantômblr et Bones le squelette (violet). Mais… vous pouvez les appeler comme vous le souhaitez !

Pour ce défi, commencez par choisir le personnage vous plaît le plus ou donnez libre cours à votre imagination pour créer celui de votre choix. C'est VOUS qui décidez, vous savez.

Dans la suite de ce billet, nous allons vous proposer des thèmes pour faire parler vos méninges, vos sens, vos émotions. Bref, votre âme d'artiste ! Per your lovely, lovely flawed show tag, I am curious what you think the flaws of Fringe are?

I’m sorry it took me so long to answer, I got distracted!

Fringe definitely had its share of flaws. I won’t even address the ones that can “be excused” by the fact that it was a show made before/early 2010s in terms of representations/inclusions, because you know, it is what it is.

I think my biggest ‘regret’/annoyance has always been the writers’ tendency to…shove traumas under a rug, or to not properly (if at all) talk about the consequences of some events that happened. I get that they had to make the characters go through a lot of drama because that’s the point of stories, especially on TV shows that have over 20 episodes per season, but the characters suffered through some terrible stuff time and time again, and they were just FINE. And it’s not like they didn’t know how to do it!

I’ve always loved the first few episodes of season 2 because they showed recovery. Olivia had a bad car accident, then she had to kill “Charlie”, and it took her time to get better from all of that, not just physically but emotionally, too. And yet, over and over again after that, she goes through horrible things and there’s…almost nothing? Like, I adore Marionette, I think it’s a brilliant episode through & through, but I still can’t believe Olivia went through all the shit she went through Over There (and coming back) and didn’t have some serious PTSD, on top of EVERYTHING ELSE she’d already gone through (aka why I wrote Shivered Bones). Peter too was barely allowed to mention what Walter did to him after he came back at the end of season 2, barely ever allowed to mention what Altlivia did to him either, except in some awkward bits of dialogue (I will discuss Peter’s character a bit more later).

Also, the whole REWRITING THE TIMELINE at the end of season 3?? Biggest cop-out. I mean, I’ve never hid the fact that any kind of ‘amnesia’ plot is honestly one of my LEAST favorite tropes, in anything. From the moment that season started airing and Peter reappeared being a complete stranger, I just disliked that so much on principle. But what will always pain me is how by doing so, the writers completely erased not just Peter but THE FIRST THREE SEASONS.

Like, poof, gone.

Conveniently, it erased Baby!Henry in the process, which the writers might have felt would be too much of an issue? Personally I would have loved to see that unfold. I know I’ve discussed this before on this blog, probably more than once, but they could have kept SO MUCH of season 4 the way it was, as far as the Bridge was concerned, could have come up with a brand new Vilain to do all the “NEW UNIVERSE” stuff Bell/Jones tried to do, while our core characters had to deal with the consequences of everything that happened in season 3 (including Peter being a dad, WITHOUT trying to force a stupid ‘love triangle’ down our throats, thank you). It would have made for great, impactful family drama, because who are we kidding. Anyone who loves Fringe typically loves it because it is such an emotional, family drama. So yes, I will forever mourn the universe(s) we had season 1-3, and endlessly daydream about what could have been.

Now let me talk about Peter Bishop, it’s been a hot minute. Peter Bishop, who was hated basically the entire time the show was airing, and still now is strongly disliked by a lot of viewers, and honestly, I can’t blame them? I’ve had over a decade to analyze his character, have spent hundreds of hours writing stories from his POV, explaining his traumas & mistakes, have written giant meta posts about him back in the days to explain his behavior, so I’m not exactly objective, but I’m also very honest about how flawed his character is. Not (just) as a human being, which is normal because humans are flawed. I mean, he’s flawed in the way the writers used him/wrote him.

He’s probably the most inconsistent of all the characters. He’s the character who suffered the most from the ‘let’s make this person act out a certain way to make sure it fits our plot’ syndrome. I will never forgive the writers for how…clueless (for lack of a better word), they wrote Peter in early season 3 during the Switch. Yes, Peter was traumatized as a kid, yes he was in love, yes yes, I know all of that, I’ve written endlessly about it to explain his cluelessness so I know.

Still, Peter should have figured it out. Peter as we saw him in season 1 and 2, especially second half of season 2, would have figured out. He figured out BY HIMSELF that he was from another universe, ‘just’ from his dad and Olivia’s weird behaviors and the fact that he didn’t go ‘POOF’ on that bridge in 2x18. Peter went to another universe, he met Olivia’s alternate. He’d just spent weeks running from his life, trying to accept the fact that he was lied to all of his life. At best, he was suspicious, at worst, he was paranoid (as was mentioned in 2x20 in Northwest Passage). Literally 3 days after he gets to THAT OTHER UNIVERSE, and 3 hours after meeting Olivia’s doppelganger, Olivia ‘I hide from my own emotions’ Dunham comes tell him he belongs with her and smooches him, so he goes home. Yet the writers want me to believe Peter would not have still been reeling from EVERYTHING that just happened in his life, and not be a bit on edge?

Like, ‘damn, the woman I love and have come to know quite well these past 2 years is suddenly SO DIFFERENT? ALMOST LIKE SHE’S ANOTHER PERSON? A BIT LIKE THAT ALTERNATE VERSION OF HER I MET 48H AGO, THAT’S NOT A COINCIDENCE AT ALL’. But nope, Peter just accepts it, EVERY CHARACTER on that side just accepts it, when Lincoln and Charlie keep on looking at our Olivia like “Is this chick for real? WHAT IF THEY SWITCHED THEM?”

I’m forever frustrated. It just doesn’t feel believable to me, never has. It feels like the writers went “we want everyone, and especially Peter, to be clueless the entire time so we can write our drama the way we planned it.” And that’s a shame, honestly, because that whole damn arc is already so good as it is. But it would been even better if Peter HAD figured it out, if he’d kept on pretending for a bit, if HE’D conned Altlivia the way she conned him. Like I mentioned before, Olivia already went through so much trauma during the Switch, they could have found ways to make her miserable upon coming back, without Peter having slept with her alternate for a few weeks—and the knowledge that he didn’t realize what was going on. More daydreaming on my part about what could have been.

I could go on when it comes to the way they wrote Peter honestly. The whole “maybe Peter has feelings for the other Olivia” crap in the second half of s3, and “the universe that will survive depends on which Olivia Peter chooses”, excuse me??? Altlivia basically abused him??? She used him in so many ways, including sexually. She wasn’t even herself, she was pretending, playing him the whole time. HOW IS HE SUPPOSED TO HAVE FEELINGS EXCEPT A LOT OF SELF-LOATHING AND MORE UNRESOLVED TRAUMA?

Anyway, I think you get my vibe and why I’ll forever be sad/mad about this. As a writer & storyteller myself, one of my strengths and favorite aspects of writing is figuring out the characters’ motivations, what drives them, and how it makes them behave. Peter’s character is just…wobbly, during those arcs. He’s inconsistent from plotline to plotline, and it feels off to me. He’s a lot more true and consistent to how I understand him in season 4, but in season 3, he’s a hot mess, meant as a plot device more than anything else, and that makes me sad. Characters are what drive stories and shape the plot, not the other way around. So yeah, I don’t blame people for always having such strong opinions/dislikes where Peter is concerned.

I could come up with more things, but this is already long enough 😂 In case that wasn’t clear, those flaws don’t stop me from having the deepest love for this show. What it did well, it did extremely well, and even all those years later, I still cry rewatching it, because the emotions were real. They're still real.

Plus it gave me Olivia Dunham, so really, it wins just for that.

Random Headcanon: i am a firm beliver in the Izzy isn't Crazy theory but in the sense that she's not like a super vilain? She's doing this for shits and giggles and as an excuse to get out of the house and do wacky shit on TV, the fact she made friends is just a bonus for her.

General opinion on her character: LOVE HER SO MUCH OMG <333 MY FAVORITE IN CANON I SWEAR TO GOD!!!! hell one of my friends agrees, we watch TD together and we both adore the shit out of Izzy. She was fucking robbed by being eliminated pre merge 4 seperate times

General opinion on his character: She deserved more screentime tbh. then again this is fresh TV writters so maybe it's good that she didn't get any screentime lmao at least she didn't get character assassinated. She's notable for not being out of character often in fics i like so it's a bonus for me :D

i lied

so i finished sailor moon today thus why the review is now

i did finish my happy marrage yesterday but i was too busy to wirte a review so i'll bang that out after this

now without further ado

sailor moon r

omg guess what; theres gonna be spoilers

and with making sure this goes to the right blog

i'll strucuture it like how i did the full synopsis of the first season

so characters then plot

also imma split the plot into what i consider to be the different acts of the peice (and no these are not compliant with the manga acts)

good? good

usagi:

fuck maaaan. as i said in my review of the fist 13 episodes sh'es matured a lot and you can really see that the events of the previous season has effected. even in the climax of this season she's way more mature about the impending threat and increadibly willing to sacrifice herself to protect her friends and the planet incomparion to her wanting to give up the silver crystal to save them in the first season. obviusly the cerumctanses are different but still beautiful character developement. her relationship with chibi usa is facinating. they start out as siblings who hate each other and then grow into really good siblings. even once knowing that usagi is actually her mother they still remain mainly with a sibling vibe as while usagi is her mother it's not this verson of usagi that is her mother with i aprechiate. and don't worry she still feels her age. i believe she's still 14 by this point but would soon be turning 15 (checking the wiki roughly) and she definatly feels that age if i'm correct. she's such a well written charcter it's insane. i don't have much else to say about usagi. she's fighting hard to end up on my fav list for sure

chibi-usa (small lady):

man i wanted to hate her. like as a concept i did not see how they were gonna exicute that well. but holy shit she did it. like don't get me wrong i hated her at the begining. her anger and distane for usagi is really interesting. but the way she grows throught out the seires was marvilous. her hating usagi at the beinging and adoring sailor moon. finding out that usagi is sailor moon and how that destroys her world view a little, and then at the end when she's leaving calling usagi her mother, ah so cute, great characterisation. her relationship with mamoru is interesting. she's initially implied to have a crush on him. at some point i do believe this fades but it's still a little weird considering it's her future dad. when she demands to hang out mamoru to annoy usagi, once she's over the crush, it's fine and quite funny. her relationship with the other sailor soldiers is sweet. she likes them as much as they adore her. and tbf it's the same with usagi's family. yes she manipulates them into thinking she's their cusion, thus causing them to like her, but even with that they would have liked her anyway

ami:

she keeps getting more and more things to do it's great. genuinly thought they'd just forget about her but her focused episodes have been great. the one where she deats the vilain by not giving into the illusions she's being shown of her friends hating her. great stuff. more than what chibi USA could do. and usagi to a certain extent. her dedication to studying as well is still very fun. the way she keeps bringing it up is great each time. i'm not borad of it yet. mercury very much trying to buy a place on my favorites

rei:

this ones really interesting. as she gets a lot of focus in the first season she takes a back seat in this one. which definatly allows the others to shine but (asides from in the 1-13 blokes of episodes) i don't recall her having an episode fully focused on her. which again, not bad as it allows for others to be shown I REMEMBERED HER FOCUSED EPISODE. in my mind it's more of the another characters focused episode and i'd probably class it as much. but she is the other focal character and it does a great job of showing off her character. again still a very stong character albet with less to do. okay but her relationship with chibi usa is quite cute as she seems to be the sailor soldier chibi likes the most and they get along accordingly

makoto:

i love her but (asides from the episode in 1-13) has no episodes to herself. it's tragic. yea she a fun character but she just gets nothing to do. like they put in work to flesh out ami who also initially didn't get much but no effort into doing more stuff with makoto. i like the fact that despite being the tallest and most 'boyish' (at the moment) she's actually the best at cooking, cleaning, ice skating etc. like she a better cook than minako, usagi and rei (I don't think we've seen ami cook but i'd assume it was pretty calculated). but yea, I like her but she has nothing to do

minako:

again you can tell, once she has an episode focused on her that we was initially meant to be a protagonist herself. the episode where everyone is sick and she has to take care of all the other sailor soldiers, so good. it does a real good job showing her relationship with chibi usa and her dynamic with the rest of the soldiers. i wish we had more episodes focused on her but I get that she kind of steals the show a little considering she is essentially a sleeper protagonist thus focusing on her too much would probably feel a little weird after a while.

luna:

she has less to do but as ever a grace to have on my screen. side note my friend has a bunch of screen caps of luna just being cute from the show and while yes I'm calling her out I also totally understand and would have done the same if I was watching it on my phone (I mean luna is my current wallpaper)

artimis:

omg look i named him this time. yea he gets better...

mamoru:

man really wanted to make me hate him for a while. so after he gets his memories back hima nd usagi start dating. but oh no, he starts getting weird dreams about if they stay together only bad things (the probably death of usagi) will occur. oooh nooooo. so he breaks up with her with no explanation. so usagi is destrught and keeps trying to win back his affections. now how much of this could have been solved if he had just told her what was happening. so much. now you may be thinking maybe he couldn't tell sailor moon. she ends up getting the same fucking dream as him and then they have a conversation about and they start dating again. so all of that was pointless. but anyway after they get back together again it's really cute. and the way he interacts with chibi usa is great and whatever. he's back in my good books but on thin fucking ice. oh and it was future him that told him warmed him about the future saying "he had to test their bond" or some bullshit. whatever.

koan:

honestly really interesting that she turned good first. like it made sense but I also found it interesting. she has mycolour scheme out of all 4 sisters and her episode when she turned good due to rei was beautily done. really enjoyable to watch

berthier:

has my favorite design out of all the sisters. her feeling betrayed and abandoned by koan was really nicely done and the fact that she couldn't get over losing to ami was very funny

calaveras:

honestly i care about her the least out of all the sisters and that's due to her having very little to do incomparison. her feeling betrayed by petz was a nice touch

petz:

girl calaveras wasn't gonna betray you what are you doing. but in all seriousness her betraying calaberas due to her previous sisters 'betray' was very well done. and then later on when she tries to save saphir. damn that was good

damn. like considering they really didn't need to keep bringing her up I'm glad they did. she might not really deserve I singular placement here but fuck it I want to include her on her own. man, the fact that she kinda knows usagi is sailor moon (she at least understands that usagi knows whats going on at the end) but accepts that usagi just can't tell her. so good.

errr lets see. umino is still here. vibing mainly. usagi's family donm't do much this time round. And motoki has like one appearance which is sad but understandable

Samedi 29 avril

La dernière période de cours qui se profile. Huit mois au collège Alrest et à peine deux mois, troués de jours fériés avant la fin. C'est le moment où, en tant que TZR - remplaçant - je commence à rêvasser. À quoi est-ce que ça ressemblerait, si j'y restais ? Deux années de suite dans le même bahut ? J'ai connu ça, pourtant, en région parisienne. Mais ça me semble loin, si loin... Je sais que dès mardi, je commencerai tout doucement à ramener un peu de matériel depuis ma salle chez moi. Petit à petit jusqu'à ce que, à la fin du mois de juin, j'aie effacé toutes les traces de mon passage.

Je n'ai pas spécialement envie de rester dans ce bahut. Les collègues sont géniaux, les élèves adorables, mais se taper les deux tiers de l'Ile et Vilaine dans le sens de la hauteur pour s'y rendre, ça use. Et pourtant, déjà, ce léger sentiment de nostalgie. Je commence à m'évaporer. La réalité de ce qui m'entoure au niveau du boulot perd un peu, juste un peu, en consistance.

Ça n'est qu'une année scolaire pourtant. Que la règle du boulot. Et pourtant, pendant dix mois, cette salle de classe aura été l'épicentre de ma vie professionnelle, à laquelle je me suis ô combien attaché. C'est étrange de se dire que bientôt, ce ne sera plus qu'un souvenir. Mais est-ce que ça n'est pas plus beau comme ça ?

Non. C'est juste mon envie de rendre tout ce que je vis dans ce métier beau. Il n'y a pas grand-chose dont je suis fier dans la façon dont je bosse. Mais ça, oui.

Hi 👋🏽 I looove all cast in His Inheritance. Even The vilains 😍 oh, my fav is Dyson. I adore Dyson. I hope you don't plan anything against Dyson, Jamie. You know, I capture Ian Mcshane as Dyson. Don't know but somehow Ian fits perfectly into playing Dyson in my head. For example, when Ian played Winston in the John Wick Franchise.. ahhh there! Protagonist-criminal vibes😍

Anyway.. can't wait for the next chapter..

Oh, wow. Thank you so much. I love Ian McShane and I could totally picture him as Dyson. 💕 He was amazing in John WIck, wasn't he?

I have it on good authority that if ANYTHING happens to Dyson, I won't have anyone to fix my mistakes in this story lol I'm not saying that's impossible something happens to him but at this point, it's very unlikely.
