Okay so today I started out normal. Then after maybe an half an hour or a full hour I got stuck in an Australian accent. Which isn’t too out of the ordinary, because I have adhd and sometimes just get stuck in accents for a bit

After like maybe thirty minutes or less the Australian accent turned into an Irish one

Then I was stuck in an Irish accent for several hours. Very unusual, as that doesn’t happen a lot

Then for maybe thirty minutes or so I got my usual accent back (which is a mix of a few accents since I’m a military brat, but mostly American)

Then I got stuck in an Irish accent again. And now it’s one forty one at night and I’m still Irish

Gonna see if I’m Irish in the mornin’ or if I’ve gone back to normal

wait i just remembered. on friday we has a "awesome committee" staff meeting which is apparently just a meeting for staff to like. bring food. play games. and bond with each other? and this week we played two truths and a lie

mine were i have only broken one bone and it wasn't even my fault (lie), i'm the youngest of five children (true), and i dislocated my arm six times before the age of seven (also true)

so many people picked the youngest of five children as the lie. one person commented that they thought i might have four sibling but i don't give off youngest child energy or something

what does that mean

what. what energy do i give off. what birth order vibe do i have. i just remember this happened and it has been haunting me ever since

Hi everyone please be mildly disappointed in me for starting the fabric cutting on my quilted scarf gift project at 2:45 AM, but everyone be proud of me for realizing at 3:45 AM that it was an insane choice and that I should be satisfied with my progress and go the fuck to sleep instead of staying up til 6 am and making a fuckton of cutting mistakes.

(my guy is me here) #I did 1/3rd of the background cutting in about an hour #so the background alone would have taken me til almost 6 am #nd then the accent cutting would likely take the same amount just given the pieces involved #that said it’s nice to know a calculation for how long I’ll be putting into this #usually I enter ADHD mode for however long and have no fucking clue how long I’ve worked #now I know: cutting on this specific project is equivalent to about 5-6 hours of working undistracted but kinda slowly #I imagine piecing won’t take too long if I do my prep work right #the prep work itself will probably be an hour including toying around with the design #and the quilting will be verrrry quick but I SHOULD do a practice block bc I’m working with minky fabric for the first time

and finally for @pr1-appreciation-month-2023 , my one, my only, my ride-or-die, and the person who introduced me to PR1 in the first place, Jeremy Dooley. he’s been one of my favorite let’s players, content creators, and just people in general since 2017, and every time I watch him play I just have so much fun and my appreciation for him grows. I love his passion, his humor, his love for his cats wife and friends, and the sheer number of projects he’s taken on is a mood and an inspiration. his community is also so genuinely good and funny, and I love hanging out in his chat no matter what he’s doing! I hope I can meet him and Kat in person someday to tell them in person how much I appreciate them, but until then I’ll continue supporting everything he does (and posting his worst quotes on here for everyone else to experience with me).

#my absolute hatred of talking on the phone was another adhd tip off in hindsight. audio processing problems. #phones are a bit distorted anyway and if someone is talking fast or with an accent my life just starts to flash before my eyes #and it cuts out all other communication cues so you can only rely on what you hear #it's easier with people i know well because im familiar with how they talk but with strangers it's just so awkward and frustrating
