You can be seen this summer in the new series of Good Omens alongside David Tennant and Michael Sheen - who do you play in the show and what appealed to you about the role? 

I play Elspeth  - a grave digger living on the streets in Victorian Edinburgh who digs up bodies for a local doctor to earn extra money. The role was so far from anything I’d played before! The show is wonderful and weird and funny so that’s what appealed to me most. And Douglas McKinnon who directed it was brilliant, he knows that universe inside out and has such a clear vision so working with him was fascinating.

What was your experience like working with two titans of the industry such as David Tennant and Michael Sheen? 

I was terrified! But they were both so lovely and it was amazing to watch them work. And they’re so funny in the show, there were a few takes where I completely lost it and couldn’t stop laughing.

Posted @withrepost • @mat8iou Really enjoyable evening at an advance screening of Canyon Del Muerto - a new film by @coertevoorheesfilmmaker who I previously knew through his film about a fictional legal case involving the Parthenon Sculptures. It tells the story of Ann Axtell Morris, America's first female archaeologist and someone I previously knew nothing about. Her husband was partly the inspiration for Indiana Jones and she was clearly someone born at the wrong time - a woman with a great passion for doing a job that no women did back then. There's a darker side to it though - the 1920s approach to dealing with human remains that are sacred to the native Americans is very different to how we approach these things today and it seems hard to believe in some ways how it was less than 70 years between the events in this film and the passing of the NAGPRA act. The film makes no attempt to gloss over the archaeologists' eagerness to explore grave sites. It's a film about mud, lust, forbidden things and amazing scenery. Do watch it if you have the opportunity. It stars Abigail Lawrie, Tom Felton, Hanako Footman, Ewen Bremner Tatanka Means, Wes Studi, Jonathannl Nez, Finn Jones, Jacob Fortune-Lloyd & Abigail Breslin.
