This creature has been smooched on her face and stuffed full of snacks <3
We qualified each rally obedience run (despite large areas requiring handler improvement <3) and finished the weekend with a 97, 84, and 97. This baby dog now has her Rally Advanced title!
(All rosettes were default as we were the only ones in our class.)

not to code gotham as eastern europe but eastern europe is the gothic literature locus classicus so i'm in full right to do it and it's just such a good parallel because. for westerners/outsiders it looks like a literal nightmare but the locals find comfort and humour in all things that throw the foreigners off. you have to find hope in a place that the others claim to be unlivable. if you give up and leave, it will always stay in your heart like an open wound.
also it just never ceases to amaze me how there are so many similarities between gothic lit & eastern european lit of the period that we would never call 'gothic' because our ghosts and our supernatural elements are not portrayed as the Other most of the time. they're there to bring you closer to your culture and heritage. they are horrors that bring you home and connect you with your people. tell me this is not the perfect approach for gotham.
i think this is also why i hate the portrayal of the city as some unsalvageable monstrosity with no kidness to be found. often places where the circumstances seem the most dire, the cultures that are branded gruesome because of the focus on the dead produce the most loving communities, as they are needed.

like yes totk is technically much darker than other zelda games, but is there any emotional weight to it? when the plot consists of these out-of-context cutscenes that you can collect in any random order at any point in the game (or not at all) with zero impact on the plot or link himself? somehow the silly toon zelda game managed to make toon king daphnes of hyrule's sacrifice more heart-wrenching than king rauru of hyrule's, and the toon guy was literally a boat for most of the game

sorry thinking about how i wrote an entirely lovecraft themed poem about transgenderism for my beginning creative writing class last semester and one single person besides the professor in that room full of english majors recognized that it was referencing lovecraft. i do not mean this in a way that shames people for not having read stuff or for not having the means to read stuff. but oh my god guys does anyone who is getting a higher level education in literature even look at the literary sources of common phenomena in media nowadays

Oh I'm sorry!
Did Marvel give you another case of blue balls while you root for another white male to overshadow the female lead of her own show?
Much love to Charlie Cox, god bless, but I truly could not give a fuck if he shows up in this show or not. She hulk is just a slice-of-life, lighthearted romp. There is no plot, just vibes. If you're not having a good time, that's on you 🤷♀️
I will cry laughing if his cameo is just 2 secs of the back of his head or something. It won't be but I love to see yall suffer. Boo hoo!

Everytime I see Jimmy and Lois in a room my brain goes "Superman Pal Jimmy Olsen and Superman Girlfriend Lois Lane is this a Superman Family comic?" and feel stupid.
But also Jimmy and Lois deserve more love. Specially Jimmy, sorry Bruce but the overly social loser was Supes bestie first you can be his other bestie, the one that isn't fun at parties.
