But I am an optimist and I will focus on the good which is that they're doing the characters incredible justice, and if I see one person try to deny their chemistry I will A Clockwork Orange their ass to this trailer for days. Because That Is Alex and Henry. That's them in front of my eyes and I think they're in very good hands and this is the most coherent thing I can write I'm still crying-/srs

OH MAN SUCH A BROAD QUESTION I GO INSANE. /pos

i cannae pick a favourite, so I'll give you what i'm kinda pondering on atm.

Idk a lot of the code and resistance lore etc cause I'm still catchin up ont backlog and i'm working a lil slower cause I gotta be paying more attention to catch the french than Phil streams. But from the posting, my guy mighta somewhat gotten some less than true ideas in his head.

But what is strikin me is his desire to like,,, try and extend compassion to guys who, as far as one can tell, have been hunting him and haunting him for a Good While. His "not all codes" mission statement might true or untrue but like, he is trying to understand why they'd do this, and extending the benefit of the doubt, yknow? Summit that could REALLY fuck him over if he's wrong. It's funny cause he says that he dunt trust easily, but I think he looks for reasons to trust people, or at least looks for reasons that their cruelty isn't cruelty for cruelty's sake. It's not a naïvety, and it's nae as cut and dry as I'm making it here, but I think it's important.

And here's where i start just making shit up, but maybe its because he believes that should be extend to everyone. Etoiles is very fuckin emotionally intelligent i think, and sometimes he's a cunt (/affectionate), but he's really fuckin aware of shit. He's aware people have reasons to fear him, he's aware of who is his, what he represent and how that impacts people. And maybe its a case of being what you'd want people to be. He understands the importance of trying t understand why someone would end up doin violence, he understands the importance of not always following your gut to fear what could hurt you. Because he is those things to a lot of people, and he dunt wanna be feared.

Do you guys remember the Dee Dee twins from Batman Beyond? I know they're supposed to be Harley's granddaughters but imagine if this takes place post-TSS events, and yes, Rick lives, okay?

He's always been—mf engaged to (Y/N) the second he woke up from unconsciousness and has lived together in a quiet lil' neighbourhood since.

But anyways!

I can't stop thinking about them being Harley's goddaughters or protégés instead, and one day, she begs you and Rick to take care of them for the week while away for a once in a lifetime gig.

“You listen to your aunt (Y/N) and uncle Rick while I’m gone!” She’d say, though, she should’ve known better than to think her own carbon copies, of all people, would listen.

I can just imagine you and the girls being joined at the hip, telling them stories from your days as a criminal, even if you’ve left that life behind. Rick’s the ‘grumpy uncle’ they love to annoy. But! They may be opposites, but the second someone talks bad about you?

Rick will see red, no doubt, but if he hears the girls discuss on how to get rid of the loud-mouthing pos, he wouldn't encourage it. But he sure as hell won’t stop them either—these are Harley girls we’re talking about; it’s not like they listen to him all the time. And, well, if they proceeded with whatever they had in mind, well, the bastard deserved it, didn’t he? Nobody really liked Mr Walker anyway.

What they'd do throughout the week their beloved aunt (Y/N) and uncle Rick, a headcanon:

Switching conversation topics when they're bored at the flower shop you work at. One second, it would be about the flowers, which, let's be honest, they're barely listening to, only to excitedly ask about what crimes you've done were the most memorable ones. Without the presence of customers, of course.

Pranking or scaring away any women who visits Rick's workplace solely for the purpose of gawking or flirting with the man, despite knowing he's married. A simple hiss or a quick display of the baseball bat they had with them ("We like playing baseball, don't we, Dee Dee?" "Yes, we do, Dee Dee!) and the visitor's out of the door!

Not once have you nor Rick seen these two play baseball.

They just really love their aunt (Y/N) and uncle Rick, okay!

BONUS: If you also have to babysit Bruce the hyena, the twins would sneak him out of the house at 3 AM, purposefully messing with Mr Walker's front yard and making sure he sees it. He didn't see the girls, however, so, when he tells his neighbours about a hyena on the loose, most of them just he was the one with the loose screws.

I initially thought Rick would work as a lumberjack, but, imagine if he was the sheriff of the neighbourhood?? Mr Walker calls him to complain about the hyena problem, obviously unaware of the culprits silently snickering at one another as they watch him desperately demand for 'justice'.

"Mr Walker, I personally don't think it's possible for a hyena to cross the city undetected for the sole purpose of terrorising just your garden," Rick responded calmly, though, he was unable to bite back the condescending hint in his words, "But, we'll look into it."

Once Walker's out, looking more stressed now that even the sheriff himself was looking at him funny, Rick would glance at the twins, raising a questioning brow at their futile attempts to look innocent before returning to his report.

"Good job." He'd say nonchalantly, and rather than looking peeved or disappointed, they spotted the small smile on his face. He didn't bother turning when they high-fived.

But other than the fact that he's been cockblocked since their arrival, and honest to God, it's been driving him nuts, they've made your and his days much livelier than the usual.

I can see it now; you're all watching TV, Rick holding you against him with one arm around you while he leisurely pets Bruce's mane with the other. Similar to the beloved house hyena, the twins sat on the floor in front of you, listening to them cheer for the antagonist and argue about what's for breakfast tomorrow.

Yes, the Flag's were quite the household, it seems.

auughhh and her lore if you wanna read below but I understand that OC lore isn’t everyone’s thing

OKAY SO she comes from a universe where her kind are robots made by a company to terraform planets for the ultra wealthy. So if you have the funds you can purchase a whole planet and whole armies of these little bots will shape it however you want.

BUT. While on the assembly line, before even recovering her directive, a portal opens up and throws her into this odd pocket dimension, which is just a half built city floating in a bright void. (Also when I say half finished I mean more like brutalist aesthetic with just concrete and no glass on the windows)

This place (named ‘Gearsky’ by locals because massive floating gears are the only thing that exist here outside of the city itself) is full of people from their own dimensions just trying to get by. She explores, and comes across a little bear being picked on in an alleyway. (The lil green bear [party bear] in the pics above)

She saves him and then it subconsciously becomes her prime directive to help Party Bear get home/care for him. So they set up base in one of the empty apartments and she just sorta takes care of him.

NOW. How do you get home you may be asking? Well it’s easy. You just need to beat someone in a deathmatch.

Enter the only form of entertainment on this island. The man who is the dictator of this place and subsequently the host of this game, aptly named Host, loves running this game. The rules are simple. 3 people enter, and two can leave alive. Only one needs to die, and the other two can get sent home. The only thing is, you have no idea who you’re going up against.

Now, RB, being a bot made to terraform, has some power behind her with her explosive abilities. But Party Bear has no defenses. So RB tries to strike a deal with Host.

She offers to kill both people in the ring with her for multiversal travel.

Host is intrigued by this offer, and accepts. After wiping the floor with her opponents, she’s granted access to all dimensions. She’s obviously excited and goes home to try and let Party Bear go home, but is heartbroken when she discovers that she’s the only one who can travel using the portals.

But this catches the attention of someone else.

Her future boss.

Another robot, by the codename TB-89.

He took note of her deal, and approached her with a job offer.

Man’s long story short she works for him as an assassin!

Watched Kung Fu Panda 4.

Twas good, not great though.

Cons:

Felt less original and more like nostalgia bait

Writing not all that great (2 was a fucking masterpiece)

Awkwafina is not as funny as casting directors seem to think she is

The Kung Fu Panda movies take place in what's essentially Magic And Anachronistic Furry China, a country name dropped multiple times by the first three films. Feels a lil sus that they don't do it even once.

The Five were snubbed AGAIN!!! Were their actors all busy or smth??? I feel so robbed.

Animation seemed more focused on hyperealism than the style and pizazz of the older films

Felt cliche but not in a fun way

Jokes just aint hittin as hard

Po's character "arc" felt like a weakly rehashed version of 3's.

Pros:

Po's dads are gay as hell

Zhen is cute

Soundtrack slaps

Tai Lung still fuckable af

At the very least less explicit fat jokes, impressive for a series built on them. Still a few there tho -_-

Po, for all his slapstick humor, is still treated as a serious, talented, and fucking scarily strong martial arts master and a genuinely kind and good guy. Determined as hell and really fucking loves his job.

Situation. i feel like Mikey probably gets the short end of the stick vis-a-vis brotherly comfort bc comparatively, his own trauma could be seen as not so severe (even though it totally is!) -stitch

you're right that Mikey gets kind of left behind though, which isn't ENTIRELY everyone else's fault to be fair. Mikey kind of leaves himself behind too. he spent so much time angry at their situation that now that things have changed he kind of just expects himself to be happier/better automatically. and he goes a bit crazy with the freedom for a while which makes it hard to talk to him about his emotions, because he SEEMS to be really happy all the time! That's good, right?

I think he's also a little emotionally illiterate when it comes to himself. he can sniff out other people's emotions just fine but when he looks at himself its a bit harder for him to tell. unless the answer is obvious (like being mad because splinter yelled at him or something).

so yea Mikey kinda just doesn't know what to do with himself. which is funny cause that's the same boat all his brothers are in, in one way or another. and they could probably really easily relate to each other if they'd just!! talk about it!!

his life mission was to convince his brothers that their dad sucks ass, and now they all agree with him! and they've all moved out together! so why are things still hard??? maybe he should do some underage drinking about it or something.
