ngl i was really debating on who to use this prompt for, but ultimately decided on wanderer, the murderous meow meow.

notes: the reader isn't the traveler, they have a vision, but I didn't specify details about the element/weapon so go crazy ig, i’m trying not to like, give wanderer a specific name bc he's got like 8 at least and then there’s the customizable names, the prompt is from the enemies to lovers midpoint list, so ofc, yall aren't gonna be besties (or possibly more) 100%, but it’s a start

When the Traveler asked for your help in occasionally joining them as they moved across Teyvat, you did not think that you would be actively fighting life-sized mushrooms on top of that.

The creatures, while cute from afar, were far more dangerous up close, especially for someone who either did not have a vision or did not have any sort of combat training. Although you can't help but almost feel bad as one of the many mushrooms you had fought squeaked in pain, coming into contact with your own attacks.

You feel a strong wind coming nearby and you scowl. Because not only do mushrooms move past you, you have to dig your feet into the ground, lest you be blown away by the wind's strength. Your surprised expression immediately morphs into a scowl, of course, of fucking course.

Laughter is heard before you see him, "Ah, hello to you too."

You're tempted at making an obscene gesture, but instead, smile tightly, because you know that he'll like the attention.

"Well, I'm glad that what you lack in height is made up for in your strength."

But your enjoyment the anger on his face is short lived. As you hear the angry squeaks coming from the fungi, you grab his sleeve, and with some force (maybe a little bit exaggerated, since he easily stumbles, although that could be since he was taken off guard).

Despite his protests, at least he thanks you.

The Traveler and Paimon watching this, look silently towards one another with a shared look that is of purely pained understanding, back to you both now sharing friendly banter, then turning back to share the same look again. The pair mutually agreed on one thing: you both were hopeless.

The afternoon continues as normal, or at least as normal as it can be whilst hunting mushrooms and other beasts that made Sumeru their abode. You were currently enjoying one of the pita sandwiches that the Traveler had brought along. Using the giant tree behind you as a way to shade yourself. The rustle of grass beside you has you peering from the wanderer at the corner of your eye. “I didn’t think you’d deign yourself to sitting among the rest of us,” You say thoughtfully after swallowing your food. (Seeing as how he would usually head off on his own, even with the breaks that everyone else took.)

He sniffs derisively, “Seeing you laze about reminded me that taking breaks is good too. Can’t have you working too hard.”

You make a face at his expression, far too pleased with himself for your liking.

“Oh why thank you, honorable wanderer. Are you sure it’s not because you missed my presence that much you wanted to sit next to me?”

He doesn’t answer, and for a moment you think you possibly could have gone too far, before you take a closer look at this wanderer.

Oh my... He was smiling! A part of yourself feels giddy yet proud at this new reaction. For the amount of time you had joined the traveler’s expeditions, this was the first time you saw anything close to a real smile. Most of the time you had shared disdain for one another.

“...I suppose, you are not the most intolerable.” He shrugs, making a point to observe the giant tree above you both.

You grin, akin to a cat that caught the canary, “I think we’re friends now.”

“God, don’t say that,” He says, yet continues to move to sit next to you.

Still, you laugh quietly to yourself.

Ok the dream (pls forgive my awful writing skills, im just good at rambling🙏):

I lived in a house that ive never actually been inside of, but ive passed countless time irl. Its across the road from a river, and the wall facing it is almost entirely glass. The yard is really nice too.

I didnt live alone though! The other ppl that lived there were all of atz, Changbin and Lee Know. (LEE KNOW HAD A LIKE, 2-3 YEAR OLD BABY TOO??? He carried her the whole time, and when I asked where the baby came from he looked like he was gonna slap the shit outta me and feed me to the cats bro 😭)

Other than the baby, everything was super chill. We were all besties, just tryna vibe. Most of us had our own rooms, I think there were only two rooms w two ppl in them, but that what they wanted. And everyone got along for the most part. BUT THEY WERE TEASING THE SHIT OUTTA ME FOR LIKING BIRD PHOTOGRAPHY 😭💔

They thought it was the goofiest shit ever, so when I got excited abt seeing some loons (and some penguins? Idk why tf there were penguins, it makes no sense) in the river, THEY HID MY FUCKIN CAMERA FROM ME??? I have a nice camera irl, but THEY HID IT FROM ME IN THE DREAM! 😭

I was super embarrassed bc i couldnt find it, and they were all in the living room listening to me freak out like, "YALL, PLS, I NEED TO GET THIS SHOT. pls? 😭" and GIGGLING AT ME! They were all so proud of themselves too.

Changbin hadnt been home, but got back in the middle of all this and felt bad for me bc i was starting visibly stress, so he made the others get my camera for me. He was like, "Uh?? You guys realize that that was a gift they got from their family, right? An expensive one at that, come on yall.. 😔"

So they give me my camera back, Wooyoung sides me, Lee Know (and his baby) heads outside w me bc he lowkey wanted to see the birds too, Changbin and Hongjoong follow too, and I get the pictures. The baby literally ate mud, and there was a giant dog that we took in? I think thats the end?

So why do we struggle to say and/or hear "tickle" out loud?

This mostly applies to lees, but I know of at least two Lers that also struggle with it. And I have a few thoughts.

1.) A BIG part of tickling is the teasing aspect. And there's just, something inherently teasy when saying the action of what you're going through out loud. And since verbal teasing is so connected to the action of tickling, hearing the word can almost make someone feel it. Or at least, imagine a tk scenario playing out. It's like a Pavlov effect.

2.) It might be due to slight embarrassment that something like tickling gets to us so easily. I know that I personally was embarrassed for a long time until I found a group of like-minded friends. And it's almost like... I don't want to say it out loud and risk getting "found out" in a sense. That mentality still carries over even when I'm talking to other knismos.

3.) Maybe, just maybe, lees enjoy the power the word holds over them to some extent. :3c They enjoy being reminded that they're weak to it. And we don't want to get desensitized to it.

you ever have a headcanon that has little to no canon basis and/or doesn't even mean all that much? just those insignificant little details that don't have any evidence supporting them but you still have because they're neat. i have several and one of them is the headcanon that frazie simply. cannot cook. she is terrible in the kitchen, partially on purpose bc she simply Does Not Like cooking. another is that dion cannot aim for shit with most things, throwing knives in particular. he can juggle but he cannot hit a bullseye. do not trust him with a bow or gun; he cannot shoot straight to save his life. i know it doesn't make sense but it's funny and i like it so it's a headcanon i have.

Raz can't dance. He can perform, he can show off, he can NOT fucking dance he has two left feet. Even as he gets older its all bad, he tries so hard but it never works.

similarly, regardless of the practice he gets, Augustus cant figure out pyrokinesis all that well?? He sorta just...makes things burst into flames rather then controlling the burn. He's better at breathing fire on stage, anyways, so its no big deal but he cant be trusted to light the campfires. Not anymore. Not unless he's using matches and normal ass methods.

for me its not Frazie who cant cook (she just doesnt cause she thinks its tedious so i agree with u there), its Dion. Mf cant make a grilled cheese without setting off the fire alarm. He burnt a cup of ice once, no one knows how that happened. He's a scientific anomaly who cant fucking cook at all. Someone get this boy to a lab to be studied.

Nah nah nah Frazie's talent is being completely unable to juggle! :D She can throw knives, she can balance, perform on a tightrope, spit fire, but GOD FORBID you give her three balls and ask her to juggle she will fail, they will fall on her head, she CANT. JUGGLE. (she was banned from practicing after nearly stabbing herself in the head with a stray knife she was juggling with, like she cant be trusted to juggle)

Last one I can think of is, as naturally talented and beautiful as she is, Dona cant sing. She cant. Augustus can! She cant. She's better with dancing, performing, and giving orders but singing was never her strong suit. Ruins the primadonna image but it just gives her an excuse to listen to Augustus's voice more and thats romance, folks ;3c

but yes I love lil HC like this, just small things that dont matter too much but add more to the personality of a character!

I’m very INTRIGUED by the vague idea I have of events that happen in protectors regarding Janeway returning to earth just cause like,,,,,, I don’t have the full picture I haven’t read these books yet obviously but FOR AU PURPOSES I guess I’m wondering how Janeway gets from Earth back to the DQ inevitably when the premise of Protectors involves like, her superiors in Starfleet questioning her abilities given the trauma she experienced and potentially wanting to reassign her blahblahblah. Supposedly she doesn’t give an epic speech behind her need to return to the DQ (sad 😔👌) cause that would be cool in my brain eheggh. I guess I’m like BRISKING the idea that she’d maybe fret over reassignment, externally having this list of reasons as to why she’s needed out there, maybe bring up the fact that her kids are out there too, I just imagine her being like ‘I’m a mother’ but HEH secretly having this internal punch and motivation that she’s preggy and she neeeeeeds to get back out there. I suppose it’s be cool too if after her imploring and utter rejection and denial for her to return out there she’d just BAIL and be like k bye heck yall lol I wanna go back to my space boyfriend and our freak kids and also I’m pregnant hahaha SEE YA. It would be less sexy if they’re just like omg go for it admiral Janeway return to ur fleet aha but I suppose that might happen also. Inevitably though I’m like hehe :3c the idea that she’d know she’s pregnant and trying to hide that from eeeeeveryone during this duration of time because it’s so obviously a BIG ISSUE and maybe a clouded of judgement on her end and is obviously driving her decision making. I’m curious as to what the extent of her medical examinations would be,,, if she BEGS for the emh to help hide her condition from starfleet (this is why I imagine she’d just put up with him smothering her so much after the fact like it becomes their little secret for a while and the Doctor likely becomes her confidant and she might cry to him once about how she’s scared to tell chakotay and he consoles her over it and maybe ruins the mood by remarking on her mood swings or something HAH)

A few Daisy headcanons; -She decided to disband the Inquisition because she couldn’t care less about human politics and prefered doing things her way instead of siding with either side. -She never married Bull and instead started to work with/for him as another Charger. -She WILL however have kids with him, and I’m thinking probably twins. -Since she’s an artificer, she knows a bunch of talented blacksmiths that works with magic and got herself a personalized prostetic that fits her aesthetic. -She loves steampunk stuff and her outfit is based around that. -She DOES have a Vallaslin, but it’s so faint it’s almost invisible to the naked eye. -The reason for that is because it kinda dissipated after she first got it, so her Keeper tattoed her a second time but it did the same thing.  -The Keeper believed it was a sign the Gods judged her immature and would never be able to provide her part to the clan. -And because of that, she was sent to “spy on human affairs’ (the reason why the main character is present at the Conclave) but it was actually a suicide mission that the Keeper hoped she wouldn’t survive. -Oopsie Daisy, turns out she DID survive the encounter. -Her tattoo is the simplest version of the Mythal tattoo. -She drank from the Well of Sorrows cuz she would be damned before letting a human she doesn’t trust drink from it. -Her vision is a teeny tiny bit worse on her right side than her left side.
