𝘼/𝙉 This is a repost. I love XXC and I read a fanfic in the past that had him being the one to help raise WWX. But anyways! In this fic don’t bother to understand age’s because that shit is so hard to figure out in the actual story itself. XXC and WWX are both young but WWX is obviously younger. Also in this they’re actually blood related rather than martial uncle and nephew. They are foxes (or rather Huli jing’s). XXC is a silver fox, and WWX is a black fox! Final thing, I’m an American so please correct me if anything is wrong; I’m going off titles I’ve been given from the books and other people. “Ā-Yīng, where are your Ā-Niáng and Ā-Diē ?” he frets, squatting down to his height and ignores the smell that was emitting from the little black fox.

Wèi Yīng sniffles and reaches out for Xiǎo Xīngchén, gripping his white robes tightly. “Ā-Diē and Ā-Niáng never returned and Ā-Yīng got kicked out. I was scared and got lost without them… T-Then the dogs! XīngXīng Shushu please don’t leave me!!”

Xiǎo Xīngchén, who is still so young himself, takes off his outer robes and swaddles up his little nephew. “You’re safe now, Ā-Yīng. XīngXīng isn’t going anywhere,” he promised.

In the Monkeybones au, animals can also have weapons blood are also be considered as a meister's weapon. Animal weapons are considered to be very rare because if a kishin eats the animal weapons' soul, the kishin would be able to unlock their evolution form (their evolution form would be a much more monstrous version of themselves) and if an animal weapon were to be discovered, the animal weapon would fall under the direct protection of Lord Death aka Kid, himself.

Since Mk is a demon monkey, he too falls under the protection of Lord Kid. Mk is only able to access his meister's powers at the moment, but is able to unlock is weapons blood subconsciously just like his mother Maka.

MK's weapon partners are a pair of pocket sized hamsters named Xiǎo Yún (little cloud) and Xiǎo XīngXīng (little star)

Did I pick this song entirely for the Peking Opera motifs because I’m a narrow-minded Westerner who fixates on and values “”””authentic”””” aspects of Chinese culture over more original stuff? Yes. Will I apologise? No, this song is still kind of rad.

As always, please forgive my poor translation. As far as I can tell, the lyrics are supposed to lambaste consumerism, materialism, and shallow obsessions with fashion and inspire listeners to have confidence in themselves and dress however they want. I think. Maybe.

A cute little drawing based on a conversation I had with bbb35. Ling is going to Drachma for a few weeks for a summit while Lan Fan looks after the nation. Dolcetto is going with him for protection a long with a few other guards, but ten year old little Ai is still worried about her daddy and uncle being gone so long, so she makes them some pan chang knots in hopes they’ll have a safe journey. Pan chang knots represent good luck, longevity, and happiness.

A few more notes: yeah, Dolcetto is looking a bit old. I headcanon he was 27 during the time FMA takes place and its been roughly 22 years since then so he’s almost fifty now.

Also a few translation notes: the first thing that Ling says in Mandarin is “Wǒ de xiǎo xīngxīng” or “my little star” The second thing he says is “Wǒ ài nǐ” which means “I love you” I think you can guess what Ai said from there. Anyways, hope you enjoyed this pic!

I wanted to uh you know, draw everyone! Even though it’s mainly just sketches and one colored drawing, I still tried my best! (Sorry if I messed up drawing any of the designs btw! I used references but I tend to forget details a lot!)

But uh, yeah! I’m unsure what else to say, um, under the cut will be the colored drawing by itself! I hope all of you like it!
