Desperately need a fic from a police officer’s pov and they watch SuperBat interactions bc like all the cops either hate or love Bats, but are still kinda terrified of him, but ofc Supes is all sunshine and smiles and “He’s my best friend y’all!” And they KNOW bats probably totally has kryptonite and an attitude worse than the devil.
So they end up in a situation where they’re working together and Batman in taking with the police and Superman’s standing behind him waving and smiling at everyone while Batman is giving single-word or just huffs for answers. And then Superman freezes and cocks his head and to everyone’s surprise grabs Batman by the shoulder and whispers something in his ear and then what’s more surprising is Batman doesn’t even mind as he wraps his own arm around Supes and then they’re gone in a blur of blue and Black. All the cops are just left standing there like 🧍‍♂️shocked bc Bats didn’t mind Supes touching him.
Or another instance where it’s after this big battle in Gotham and it’s with whatever villain but Superman is there too and the villain had kryptonite. Anyways so after the battle Bats is talking to the police and handing over the villain and Superman comes over after talking to the civilians, picks Bats up by the scruff mid sentence politely nods to the officers he was talking too, and moves him a couple feet away and just starts yelling at Bats abt how stupid it is for him to run around jumping in the way of heavy blows EVEN if they have kryptonite and Bats just scoffs and turns his head away and all the police on the area watch as Superman and Batman argue about how stupid it is to risk your life to save the other (they both did it) completely oblivious to their audience and the police whose POV it’s in just thinks “god they sound like a married couple. Wouldn’t it be crazy if the two of the worlds greatest hero’s were actually a couple lmao. But that’s crazy they’re just really good friends”
Gordon watched all this trying not to blow his fuse bc yes, Batman does need to be yelled at, and yes, he does need to prioritize his safety more, but NO, you don’t need to be having your lovers quarrel in front of the whole damn GCPD.
Or in another instance Batman racks up a bunch of charges on him for whatever reason and the GCPD by luck manages to arrest him and so here comes Superman trying to bail his partner(in more ways than one) out of prison and the police are like “we’re really sorry Mr. Superman sir but we can’t legally do that” and Supes goes “what the hell did he even do” and so the officer goes “Property Damage, unlawful violence, arson, punched a cop in the face and broke his nose, caught carrying weed which is illegal in the state of New Jersey, multiple -and I mean multiple- unpaid speeding tickets. Oh, and the DMV wanted us to talk to him about his unregistered Batmobile and Batbike.”and Supes is about to cry as he quietly asks “Okay, so how much is bail” And the officer looks away and mumbled “sixteen grand” and Supes gasps and cries out “I don’t get paid enough for sixteen grand!!”
However thirty minutes later Supes is back at the GCPD station shakily counting out bills bc he can’t use a check or card (obvi) sweating heavily and looking extremely pained. The cops don’t even ask where he got all those bills so quickly and just watch him and another 30minutes later Bats is out and Supes is shaking him by his shoulder shouting “so who’s gonna lag me back!! Who’s gonna reimburse me for for 16k?? Whose gonna apologize for the heart palpitations you gave me?? Whose gonna apologize for all the gray hairs this is going to give me?? You’re giving me gray hairs all the time B!! I can’t do this!!” And Batman just sighs and pats Superman on the back as they walk out of the station and Superman is mumbling about bank credit and loans and how bad he looks with wrinkle lines and gray hair sounding like he’s about to cry.
Meanwhile the police try not to loose their minds throughout this whole interaction and Gordon’s just staring at the door blankly smoking a cigar and the police whose POV it’s in looks at the cigar a little bit closer and goes “That smells like weed” and Gordon looks at her and just says “I feel for Superman a bit more than I want to”

Haha Whoops Uh Oh! (UPDATED 6/11/23)
so this isn't the type of post I normally like to make, but! uh! hey! I just got ambushed by a HUGE tuition bill I wasn't expecting, and I'm out of options to pay it - they've already applied my scholarship and loans, I'm already working multiple jobs that are basically just barely paying for rent + groceries, and I only have enough on my credit card to pay for One of the three payments they're requiring, which only gets me through till July (with, again, no options that get me that amount of money by that time).
further full disclosure, this bill came at like, the worst possible time - they've given me four days to make at minimum the first payment (which, again, I can only do by maxing out my credit card), and on top of juggling multiple jobs I'm also in the middle of two classes, including one which involves upcoming travel (that is already paid for, thank god). Hence, me Scrambling a li'l bit!!
as such, I've set a new goal on my ko-fi!! it is, of course, HUGE, but genuinely any small amount people are able to contribute goes a huge way to giving me SOME way to pay it off. note that 3-coffee doodle requests are still A Thing, commissions are still a thing (if you have one active I'll be getting to them this & next week), and I'll be streaming wherever I can to pull together money that way - wherever it comes, any support is HUGE and I mean that.
UPDATE 6/11/23: I am updating the original post to remove the ko-fi link and yet you fine folks know: HOLY HECK, y'all managed to get my tuition dealt with. words truly cannot express my gratitude for that - I'm so, so, SO humbled and thankful for everyone who came out to get me out of a really rough situation.
in the slightest, smallest attempt to pay forward the kindness i've been shown, I'm gonna try and use this moment to direct y'alls attention to some other folks I know who could use some kindness! hardly comprehensive, in no particular order, just top-of-my-mind type type beat. (note that these are all folks' twitter handles - some of 'em are on tumblr too, but I figure best to direct you to where I know they are 100%!)
@/Pochiyaki is a friend & artist who's been trying to get out of a bad money situation a while, and could definitely use some love!
@/rudeboimonster is similarly a dear friend who's been struggling to find long-term work and housing, anything you got would help.
Or, considering supporting the work of a creative you love! A few I've been loving lately that I'd recommend:
@/cosmignon (Runaway Draikana webcoming, and other comics and illustration work)
@/SynthCharmVA (voicework & writing/show development)
@/Tonya_Song (music - including vocals, piano and composition - plus education and activism work)
@/jaypg_art (character design, visdev, and illustration)
@/littlegoodfrog (Matchmaker and other comics)
@/winonaparadise (Girls With Horns and other comics/illustration work)
@/derekmballard (comics, including the upcoming Cartoonshow graphic novel)
@/_PartyCoffin_ (Welcome Home, and just about every art form you can conceive of)
and of course, if you're not following & supporting my amazing partner @/hollowtones, who helped me through this tough situation in every possible way - well you ought to be!! a delight and talent in every imaginable way, and I'm only a little biased on that.
and above all else... THANK YOU ALL SO MUCH!!!!!!

You left the exam hall a couple hours later. To find out that your dad left a total of seven missed calls. You thought someone fucking died.
Of course, you called back. Preparing for the worst.
Your father picked up the phone, he explained that it was your friend. He had a mental breakdown because you weren't there for the opening of his dream restaurant. Eventually though, he calmed down enough to come back into the building to return the phone, eyes noticeably dull and tired, worse than before. He never stopped trembling.
The three of them sat down and talked.
Neither of your parents knew you stopped contacting him. They thought everything was fine, so your friend couldn't fault them for that.
Your parents trusted your friend, so they gave him your phone number and told him basic information about you now. Such as, the country you're studying in and the course.
You felt a pang of guilt, but you had to move on. You understood that he was busy, it would probably do no good for you to try and reach out to him. You would just ruin his plan and distract him too much. At least, that was what you thought.
Usually, he would call every day. But that turns to once every three days. Then once a week. Then never.
It's true that he would not miss a single day to send you a sweet message, a reminder to practice self care and that you're very dear to his heart. Which would be then followed by an update to his progress, it was stressful to read what he was going through and that was all he talked about. You felt like his personal diary, he stopped asking about how things were going for you.
Since it doesn't seem to bother him you weren't replying because he would send his texts when the entire world is asleep, you stopped opening his texts too.
You wanted to tell him in person that you're moving out to pursue your studies and you were granted a student loan. A crushing student loan. But... You believe his ten minutes of free time a week is better used for his sleep. Or even going to the bathroom perhaps.
A day passes by another and in the end, you moved on without him. Without telling him. It just always slips your mind every time you see him brisk walking towards his beat up car with a stack of metal trays in his arms. They must be extremely heavy, you could see the veins bulging out of his forearms and forehead.
It was hard to watch his cheeks get sunken in, his hair going back to its' matted, unhealthy state, dark bags forming under his constantly bloodshot eyes. He looked like he aged a decade older from all the stress and pressure. But... He is working towards his dream and you're happy for him. It was great that he finally achieved what he wanted, he deserved all of its glory for working his ass off like that.
You held no ill will towards him, but you grew apart. He was so consumed with work that the friendship suffered in silence, there were no more fun hangouts together at the mall, you don't get to eat his cooking anymore (you didn't want to burden him by buying a tray, he already has too much to do), no more fun conversations about the silliest shit. It was just... Bank loans, revenue, expenses, investors, employees, employers, credit score, mortgages, taxes etcetera. The urgency and distress was also rubbing off you too, there were nights you woke up in a cold sweat because you had a nightmare that your hypothetical restaurant failed and you went into debt.
So you thought, he needed his time. You shouldn't really interfere with anything you don't understand. Your friend is already nose deep in the real world, you're not even close to it yet and you're not ready for it yet either. Therefore, you took the route most young adults take after getting a high school diploma: getting a bachelor's degree in some field of study that you probably don't even like.
You trudged onwards to the direction of your hostel. You need to get ready for your shift, money is a little tight now and you don't want to burden your parents too much. They're already sending a lot of money to support your living.
If your friend knew you were working hard for some extra money, his heart would break. It would be devastating news to him, no doubt, he would at least have a dozen freakouts and breakdowns. But you don't know that, yet.
As expected, your friend eventually called you. It was later than expected; it took him a week before he called your new phone number himself. He needed to calm down and collect his thoughts, as he knew that he might just drive you away if he comes barreling in with passionate yelling and sobbing over the phone. Plus, he also needed to focus on his new restaurant too, he can't just abandon his lifelong dream like that. How else is he going to make enough money to provide for you? He can't take back the money and time he invested in this now, all he can do is keep going and find some compromise.
It was tempting to go M.I.A. and hastily book a plane ticket to wherever you're studying. He was deeply yearning for your presence, he was desperate, he was clawing his arms and decorating them with nasty scars in an attempt to keep the urge at bay. He was extremely miserable but he had to keep going, to build that wonderful, cushiony foundation for you and him to fall back onto.
Everything he does, he does it for you.
He was polite, kind and pleasant during the first phone call you both had in two years. Though, there was a noticeable twinge of hurt in his mildly wavering voice. He still sounded like he's happy and relieved to hear you again.
The call started off with a greeting, then some small talk, then finally to the meat of the call;
Why didn't you tell me? He asked. It seems like he was fighting back his tears.
You didn't answer right away, you don't know what to say.
You could tell him the truth that he was too busy with his endeavors and you just don't feel like interfering by burdening him with "unnecessary information". However, you think that might wound him deeply as you're somewhat blaming him for your own actions.
You could lie... and tell him what, exactly? Either way, it would hurt him even more and there is probably going to be some resentment.
So, you apologized. You kept your reasoning brief and simple; you needed to move on. You acknowledged that whatever you did wasn't very nice of you, but you still had to proceed and you thought that it would be better that you didn't tell him.
There was a moment of silence between the both of you.
On the other side of the call, your friend was wracking his brain, trying to comprehend what you just told him. It came across as you not wanting to do anything with him anymore because you feel unprioritized, unimportant, inferior. Guilt and remorse was eating him up, he is putting all the faults onto himself.
He spiraled downwards in that call, spewing nonsense and absurd promises to destroy everything he has ever worked for just to have you back in his arms. Deranged negotiations involving the idea of blinding, deafening, mutilating or doing some sort of bodily or mental harm to himself to prove something; prove that he puts you above everything else and also to punish himself for neglecting you.
It was horrifying to hear your dear friend babble about putting himself into financial ruin for the sake for your forgiveness. He spoke of his accomplishments and advancements as they were disposable, as if it held no value compared to you.
This isn't normal, far from it, Your friend devolved so much to the point he was making demented pledges to kill and maim your enemies for you, and only you. To eviscerate the ones you dislike and send videographic proof of it, to disembowel his business associates to show that they mean absolutely nothing to him. Mind you, he was talking about real, breathing, living humans.
It was hard to fully grasp the insanity in his now incoherent words, he was muttering apologies and self hatred. Promises of severe self harm was also common in his mad speech. At one point, religion and superstitions were thrown into the mix. But you could not understand what he was chanting about.
What the fuck are you talking about? Your friend didn't pick up on your distress... or words over his excessive tirade against himself.
Everything I do, I do it for you, and I would do anything and everything for you. I love you- You hung up.
You couldn't take a second more of that. It was really difficult to see this side of him. It hurts you too that he became like this, perhaps all the stress from building a business from the ground up fried his mind. Whatever it was, you knew that he is not good for you anymore.
You sent him a final text message telling him that you're not comfortable with him after that massive sanity slippage. You wished him luck and expressed your regrets that it had to turn out this way.
You didn't give him a chance to respond, you blocked him immediately on everything and went on with your day.
Whatever he said kept replaying in your head like a broken record. It was pure horror.

Note
for the prompt list you just reblogged, what about "i didn't sign up for this" with either obi-wan kenobi or the bad batcher of your choice?
I’m on the run (with you my sweet love)
Tumblr media
Pairing: obi-wan x reader
WC: 1.2k
Summary: after hearing that obi-wan is living in exile, you do your best to find him, determined to live out your lives together as you’d dreamed.
Suggested listening: Chemtrails over the country club by Lana Del Rey
A/N: IM SO BAD AT ANSWERING OH MY GOD. Thank you for the request I’m so excited!!! tbh, I struggled with this so hard because I physically cannot give Obi-Wan an angsty situation but we made it work hehehe. Obi-Wan is both my fav Star Wars man (which surprises people sometimes) and one of the characters I write the least, so this was SO fun! Sorry it’s so short, but I plan on writing much more for him soon!❤️🫶🥰
The house was small, really just a small kitchenette and living space with a bed nook off to the side. Like all houses in the dune sea, it was low in the ground, slatted windows up high on the walls to offer light with as little heat as possible. You wouldn’t call it nice by any means, not compared to what you’ve lived in before, but it had a certain coziness that had excited you. You had flushed out your credits just as soon as Bail had told you of Obi-Wan’s exile, and gotten yourself on the first ship to Mos Eisley that you could. The house had been easy enough to find, there were plenty of people in Mos Eisley eager to sell property to someone, particularly when that someone came with a sack of credits.
The hard part was finding Obi-Wan.
You spent the morning in the center of Mos Eisley, gathering supplies and what small furnishings you could transport for your new home, listening intently for anything. Any word of a newcomer, any whispers of the fall of the Jedi. Unfortunately (or fortunately) no one said anything.
Beru and Owen were the obvious next choice, and they came with much greater information than you had anticipated. You hadn’t met Anakin’s brother and sister-in-law before, but you had seen holos of them during your nights in with Padmé. Owen had been… reluctant to talk to you, but Beru had quickly pointed you in the direction of the cave Obi-Wan had been hiding out in the past few rotations, not terribly far from your home or the Larrs homestead.
Which is how you found yourself here, at the mouth of a cave, a fabric shawl draped carefully over your shoulders to protect as much of you as possible from the blazing Tatooine suns.
It was easy to walk into, and the dark walls and open space gave the whole space a chill in the air that hung itself uncomfortably around your shoulders. He wasn’t here, but there were signs of him present. A rucksack with some rations and credits, his robes and tunic–carefully folded in a pile resting on a large stone, and a small lamp. You ran your hands down the soft fabric of the robe, before picking it up and bringing it close to you. It smelled just like him, and for the first moment in what felt like a millenia, you let yourself ache in your chest. You had missed him something awful, worried something awful. When Padmé had explained what had happened, what he would have to do, you had feared the worst.
When none of them came back, you had all but accepted it.
“Don’t move.”
The voice that came from the cave mouth was cold and cautious, strong and intimidating. It was also home.
“Ben,” you whispered, using the nickname you had given him some night who knows how many moons ago, hoping to show him you were you. You were here.
You removed the shawl slowly as he stepped out of the mouth of the cave, his form no longer silhouetted against the blinding sun. His hair was looking slightly ragged, the tunic he wore now hung awkwardly on his frame–it must’ve been a loan from Owen you decided.
“Is it really you?” he asked, walking up to you cautiously, moving slowly as if you were made of mist that would simply vanish if he got too close. The sun had already begun to bring out even more freckles across his skin, growing ruddy with exposure.
“I’m here to take you home with me,” you murmured, closing the gap between the two of you and pulling him close to you, one hand cradling the back of his head while he pressed soft kisses into the crook of your neck.
“You can’t, I have to stay here. I can’t return to Coruscant with you.”
You pulled back for a moment, brushing the hair away from his face, “who said anything about Coruscant?” Before he could answer, you pressed your lips to his, capturing him in a kiss meant to soothe yourself and reassure him. He was alive. You were here. The rest you could figure out together.
* * *
You hadn’t said much on the walk back to your home, hadn’t been able to. Obi-Wan refused to let go of you, his hand lingering on a spot on your body at any moment. It was as if he was finally allowing himself these open, semi-public touches at last, though you knew the price of this freedom had been costly.
When you approached your home, you led him down to the living quarters and quickly worked at getting a small iced tea ready while he settled in. Well, attempted to settle.
“You bought this? Here?”
“You think I’d rent? In this economy?” You scoffed, and he gave you a lighthearted smile in return as you guided him towards the small sofa in the middle of the room. “I’ve only been here a few rotations, been looking for you,” you moved to settle beside him, knees clinking into one another with a familiarity you had been longing for. “You’re a hard man to find Master Kenobi.”
“I didn’t realize you’d be looking,” he reached over to place a hand on your cheek, steadying himself against you for a moment. It had taken you the better part of the afternoon to get from the cave to your home, and your living room was now painted in the orange and magenta hues of the setting suns, low light making him look even softer than you had imagined. “To be quite honest, I feared you’d assumed the worst.”
“Then you don’t know me at all.”
He pulled your head closer to him, bringing his forehead to yours in a sweet, intimate gesture. “I cannot put you in danger, I will not. You’re a senator, you cannot give up your life for me. You didn’t sign up for this.”
“I’m more than just a senator you know,” you breathed, your eyes fluttering open to look into his while his breath hitched in his throat, “as per that night on Chandrila, I’m your wife. You think I don’t want to be here? That I didn’t sign up for this? I said "till death”, Kenobi, and I meant it.”
“I couldn’t contact you, I’ve had to close myself off to the Force since arriving. I’ve lost so much. I cannot lose you dearest.”
You moved closer to him to bridge the gap between your mouths again, breathing a simple, “you’ll never have to,” as you did. This time you kissed him with the fervor and passion of a woman coming home, and he drank you in like a man lost in a desert. Which, you suppose he was. Here was your Obi-Wan, your Ben, wrapped in your arms and in your home for as long as you’d like. You were free to press yourself against his freckled chest and trace the starlight colored scars across his skin. You could live in the serendipitous bliss of him, his smell of caf and leather and something woody, the kind way he carried himself.
It had cost you both everything, had cost the Republic, but at last you were free to be Obi-Wan Kenobi’s wife in more than just secrecy, your sanctuary guarded by the twin suns of Tatooine.

[“There is not one banking sector. There are two—one for the poor and one for the rest of us—just as there are two housing markets and two labor markets. The duality of American life can make it difficult for some of us who benefit from the current arrangement to remember that the poor are exploited laborers, exploited consumers, and exploited borrowers, precisely because we are not. Many features of our society are not broken, just bifurcated. For some, a home creates wealth; for others, a home drains it. For some, access to credit extends financial power; for others, it destroys it.
It is quite understandable, then, that well-fed Americans can be perplexed by the poor, even disappointed in them, believing that they accept stupidly bad deals on impulse or because they don’t know any better. But what if those deals are the only ones on offer? What good is financial literacy training for people forced to choose the best bad option?
Poverty isn’t simply the condition of not having enough money. It’s the condition of not having enough choice and being taken advantage of because of that. When we ignore the role that exploitation plays in trapping people in poverty, we end up designing policy that is weak at best and ineffective at worst. When legislation lifts incomes at the bottom—say, by expanding the Child Tax Credit or by raising the minimum wage—without addressing the housing crisis, those gains are often recouped by landlords, not wholly by the families the legislation was intended to help. A 2019 study conducted by the Federal Reserve Bank of Philadelphia found that when states raised minimum wages, families found it easier to pay rent. But landlords quickly responded to the wage bumps by increasing rents, which diluted the effect of the policy. (This happened after the COVID-19 rescue packages, too, but commentators preferred discussing the matter using the bloodless language of inflation.)
In Tommy Orange’s début novel, There There, a man trying to describe the problem of suicides on Native American reservations says, “Kids are jumping out the windows of burning buildings, falling to their deaths. And we think the problem is that they’re jumping.” The poverty debate has suffered from a similar kind of myopia. For the past half century, we’ve approached the poverty question by attending to the poor themselves—posing questions about their work ethic, say, or their welfare benefits—when we should have been focusing on the fire. The question that should serve as a looping incantation, the one we should ask every time we drive past a tent encampment, those tarped American slums smelling of asphalt and bodies, every time we see someone asleep on the bus, slumped over in work clothes, is simply: Who benefits? Not Why don’t you find a better job? or Why don’t you move? or Why don’t you stop taking out such bad loans? but Who is feeding off this?”]

Cabinet of Curiosities Opinions
Roland (Lot 36) is not a neo-Nazi and the hair wreath is not made from the hair of concentration camp victims.
I didn't think this needed to be stated, since he called the Wolmar family evil, which he definitely wouldn't have done if he agreed with them. But apparently some people see "German guy talking about Nazis" and assume he's one himself. Weird.
As for the hair wreath, such things were popular in the 19th century, not the 1930s-40s. I went looking and couldn't find any extant examples from that era. Given the presence of other antiques from that period in the storage unit, like the summoning table, it makes far more sense for the wreath to be an earlier family heirloom. At the very least, even if it WERE some perverse latter-day craft project made by Dottie or her mother or something, there would be no reason for Roland and Agatha to assume that. So they'd probably believe it was innocent even if it wasn't.
2. Emilia is an avenging angel sent to test people like Nick.
This is a bit more of a stretch, but bear with me. When he gives her the lock, she says (in Spanish) "What kind of man are you?" An understandable response to him being a racist asshole, but to me it sounds like she's saying it in a measuring way, as if she's really wondering. Later, in her final appearance, the light behind her umbrella gives her a halo effect. And condemning him to be devoured by a demon he set loose seems like a pretty fitting thing for an angel to do if she's seen that he's past helping.
(This take brought to you by: whiny pissbabies on Reddit going on about "well he's not THAT bad and even if she couldn't see the demon, she KNEW the loan shark was after him so she should have REALIZED he was in real danger and let him out!!! the clearly symbolic racial-, gender-, and class-disadvantaged person in this 45-minute fictional story is the TRUE bad guy here, not the man who was listening to a white nationalist radio show and agreeing with it!")
3. Stacy's coworkers (The Outside) weren't actually that bad.
She feels isolated from them because they have nothing in common to talk about. We never see them actively being mean to her; just not being her best friend- and nobody is obligated to befriend coworkers if they don't want to. They invite her to the party, so clearly they do think of her. Sure, the one lady reacts badly to being given a taxidermy duck for Christmas, but...taxidermy IS a pretty contentious gift. Not something I would spring on someone at all. Stacy was just doing her best, so I don't blame her either. It's just an awkward situation all around, that's nobody's fault.
I feel like the point is not "this woman's bitchy coworkers drove her to change herself." It's that marketing and the media cause women to be internally critical on a deeply harmful level, even if nobody else is actually being critical of us.
4. The Outside has themes of sublimated homosexual desire.
Stacy has a tense relationship with her hsband, idolizes the women at work who are constantly touching and stroking each other, and literally makes out with the feminine-looking Allo Glo creature in the basement. I mean. Come on. This one seems like a no-brainer to me. I don't think that's the PRIMARY theme, but it's definitely there.
6. Nancy (The Murmuring) had something to do with Ava's death.
One theory I saw online was that she'd rolled over on her while co-sleeping, since the ghost she mistakes for baby Ava appears in the bed next to her. I'd believe it, and it definitely adds another layer to her sympathy with the mother ghost- who I just learned is named Claudette in the credits. Even though I very much doubt she did anything that purposeful.
7. Alternatively, Ava was not a baby when she died.
Edgar and Nancy are both on the older side to be new parents (Essie Davis was 52 during filming, though the character is probably somewhat younger), and Nancy has clear experience talking to older children when she addresses the little boy ghost. Ava's death was recent, so while I suspect the intention is that she was a surprise baby to a couple who assumed they'd never have any, she could have been any age within childhood.
8. Ava was named after birds.
"Avis" means bird in Latin and her parents are ornithologists. It just makes sense.

Learn Well And Enjoy Your College Years With These Tips
Are you thinking about going to college? Have you always wanted to get a degree, but been afraid to explore it? If so, you are not alone. There are many people all over the world that have chosen to return to school and get the degree they have always wanted. https://collegestudenttextbooks.shop is filled with a lot of stress as the best thing that you can do in regards to school is to prepare in advance. Avoid procrastination at all times, as this will only add to the stresses that you already face. By doing your work ahead of time, you can feel prepared and organized as college goes on. When you are choosing a major, do not simply think about money. You do not want a career in something that you find boring or uninteresting. A good choice is a major that will keep you interested fifty or more hours a week for the rest of your life. Explore your interests. If you have debts with a credit card company, pay them off monthly. By doing so, you avoid the risk of late dues or unnecessary fees. A credit card is best saved for emergencies only. Keep in mind that the reason you are going to college is to get an education. If you are having issues with money, it might distract you from your studies. Do not get involved with the people that want to party all the time. Having fun during college is important, but there is a time and a place. If you allow yourself to fall into those bad habits, your grades will surely suffer. Only have fun when you have done everything you need to do.. When taking a test, remember that it is just a test. Many people get intimidated by tests thinking that they are more than they really are. They are supposed to be a review of what you have already learned in your class. Having confidence in yourself and studying well can help you do well on them. Textbooks can take a huge toll on your wallet. Fortunately, you now have many options to save money. For example, you can rent textbooks online. Another option is to purchase online-only access to required textbooks. While you won't have a physical book to take notes or highlight in, you will save money in doing so. When you are getting ready to go away to college you should sit back and picture what you want it to be like and work towards that. You will be more focused if you have a ultimate goal in mind and know what you are working towards. Ask some friends that are already in college what it is like to get a good idea of it. Write out a to do list the night before. This is a great way to help prep your brain for all the studying you have to do tomorrow. You'll wake up with a set of purpose instead of a sense of anxiety which will make your day that much easier to deal with. Take short breaks when you study for exams. You need to take breaks to let your mind rest, but you don't want them to be brief. Taking long breaks can thwart the best of studying efforts. They make it harder to get back to work, and they make it hard to work up the needed momentum. Keeping breaks short is the way to go. If money is tight, and your choice is to either take out a loan or leave school, the smart choice is always to get a loan. Even though this may put you in the lurch temporarily and add to your current burdens, if you have chosen your major wisely, it will increase your earning power. You should be able to pay your loan back with your increased earnings. Leaving school is a sure way to guarantee low earning power for life. Hopefully, you have learned more about what it takes to be successful in college. Apply the tips and suggestions you have just read. You will be well on your way to obtaining the education of which you have always dreamed. Additionally, you will be greater prepared to enter the marketplace.

Battlin' Jack Murdock Rant
Possible unpopular opinion here but something I think people need to cut Jack some slack on is the Matt doing his stitches thing.
Now I'm not saying that it is a good thing that Matt was sewing up his dad's face. But I am saying that Jack might not many other options.
But What about the hospital? Or Urgent Care? Or a clinic? I hear you ask.
Well, do you know what those things require? Money. You know what Jack didn't have a lot of? That's right. Money.
You know what else he probably didn't have? Health insurance.
So yes, he could have got to the ER, waited for hours since his injuries are not life-threatening, gotten professional medical attention, and a bill that he cannot pay. Yes, eventually the hospital will write it off. But in the meantime, it's sitting on his credit report, dragging it down even further.
Assuming the hospital doesn't turn him away for not being able to pay them. Which, since his injuries aren't life-threatening, they can do. Law only says they have to treat you if you are dying. Which is why people without insurance or money don't go the hospital or even the doctor until it gets that bad.
Yes, there might have low-cost clinics with a slide scale that maybe he could afford. But they might not have stuff for stitches because that's not where people go for that stuff. Or aren't open when his bouts get done so waiting until morning. Or even the adjusted payment is still out of his budget.
Yes, maybe he and Matt qualified for Medicaid. But maybe Jack couldn't figure out how navigate all of the red tape. Or maybe he tried and they were rejected. Maybe they were in that uncomfortable zone where you don't make enough to cover everything but you make too money to qualify for food stamps and other social welfare programs.
I've been in that zone. It's not fun. It usually means you end up putting things like paying your rent and getting enough food above going to the doctor for any reason.
The only legal short-term loans he might have been able to get to cover an extra expense like that are payday loan places. Assuming they considered boxing (and whatever else he might done to make ends met) regular employment. Which they probably didn't.
Even if they did, the interest rates on those loans are truly outrageous. And a lot of those companies (especially prior to 2008) could some things to make your situation worse. Like keep hitting re-sent on the check after they got an insufficient funds bounce from the bank so you get a bunch of overdraft fees. (Currently, they can only do this twice before they have to stop. But they have also been fighting this and similar regulations since they were put in place).
Just saying that sometimes you don't have good options. You only have bad ones. So you pick the least bad one or the one you can live with.
Just saying that Jack Murdock was doing his best in a bad situation. He was trying to be a good dad to Matt. Maybe cut him a little slack.

June 📿 2024 Monthly - Cancer
Preshuffle: You’re going back and forth on a decision, weighing the pros and cons of whether you want to let something go, or maybe spend a lot of money on a purchase. You’re having to defend your position, simply stepping back and considering things, showing someone on the outside is pressuring you - they may want a specific thing, and now.
Meditation: You’re afraid of the worst outcome. The vision was you in a giant…the deepest lake in the world? I’ve seen a picture of it, it looks like a giant black sinkhole 🕳️ inside of a lake. You went to “dive deep” and a giant freaking monster met you to open its’ humongous mouth and swallow you up! You “snapped out of it” on the beach - showing it had been a dream or a premonition, maybe just fear, but if you’re holding back there’s a reason.
Main energy: 6 Cups
Typically a card of the past, with Integration this can show how a situation that’s been going on is working out now - because success clarifies. This can be referring to children for some, maybe child support, or a financial situation where a partner or someone has to stepped in to help. Could be regarding a loan, someone co-signing for you to make a larger purchase. I see it working out successfully, whatever it is, and your color cards are some of the best in the deck 😊
What’s going on in June:
7 Cups:
You’re the one clarifying, this could be regarding work, you could have a string of failed jobs/careers on your resume - which may not even be your fault. 7 Cups would show confusion and multiple options, some of you could be trying to find a job that’s reliable because you haven’t yet. Knight of Pentacles shows slow progress, but consistent effort, I don’t see it being your work ethic that’s a problem. Or applying for jobs, you could keep up to date with everything new every single day and there has just been no contact on their end. Ace of Pentacles & The Tower at the bottom could show starting something new and then it’s over unexpectedly. Contract/temp work? Could be, just to have the bills paid. You may have been going down the temp route in the hopes to be hired on due to your work ethic and kind disposition, being a good person to have around, which this shows you are. But no dice 🎲 so far.
If not that, there may be an ex that’s been lax with child support even though you have the kids full time, and I don’t see battles or drama, just struggling finances and someone that’s probably had an excuse - you could be showing them some grace knowing it’s not their fault. If financial, there could be several things on your credit report (US) that you signed up for when things were good, and they went bad unexpectedly (probably the past energy), and you could be *finally* getting somewhere with that now - after consistent effort and paying them down one by one. Finances seem to rule June for you.
8 Pentacles rev:
This can show the loss of a job, it happened very quickly and unexpectedly - even if it was a temp thing, it was expected to be longer. 7 Pentacles clarifies as no fruit 🍉 to your labor, no use continuing on in a certain direction, which could be a message that’s been sent to you or a direction from some higher up that’s let you go. It doesn’t feel like it’s your fault or decision, though it’s possible you quit doing something pointless in your eyes - most are having it done to them. This is probably the past energy because this month feels more about where it’s heading after the struggle 🙏
9 Pentacles rev:
Family probably stepped up to help support you, maybe a partner if you have one. If it’s the ex’s issue, you could’ve been supportive towards them, telling them “don’t worry about it” for a couple of months while they get on their feet. There is a lot of support shown for someone that’s financially going through it, which is just a season for them, it’s temporary. Shit happens. There’s no word of Ace of Pentacles though - when the new job is coming in, when more money or the solid offer is coming. It may not be in June, unless the clarifiers change, you could be helping someone out financially until they find something reliable. Or that’s you, some of you may have moved in with family temporarily to save yourself the grief of bills & payments. If you’re getting unemployment I do see you tackling those sorts of things, trying to keep up with something. A car payment. Insurance. Mom’s prescriptions. Something like that, you’re not just resting on your laurels - or someone isn’t, whoever this is. Could be a kid for some of you - or somehow related to one. Your kid’s baby mama idk, it doesn’t matter who.
The High Priestess:
There is a deeply nurturing and loving vibe from someone, The Hierophant at the bottom. It’s connected to The High Priestess, either you are a very deeply emotionally & spiritually connected person, “the wise one”, or someone else is. Like Mom, if you’re staying with her. It’s just understood that things are better this way, even if someone is lacking financially, it’s like their heart is healing in the meantime and that makes it worth it. There is no judgement, no harsh words, no expectations even, it’s like you’re making the best of a difficult situation and helping to move it forward in a positive direction. Could definitely be your kid, The Hierophant is a parent/guardian/teacher - the kind that has guidance and a solid moral compass. Someone could be deciding to go back to school or get a certificate of some kind to help the job search along, that could be a parent’s suggestion (a wise one). The Hierophant can represent college too - “the establishment of learning”. Or church. Healing is being done somehow for someone, before moving forward - probably not by choice.
Judgment & 3 Pentacles:
Beautiful reading really. You’re going to ponder the outcome of the decisions that have been made, the people that’ve helped you along the way, the bigger picture of everything as a whole and where it’s lead you, and feel appreciative of a new beginning that’s becoming available to you - with the help of others. Or you’re one of the others helping someone, if so I see appreciation here. There’s clear cooperation with 3 Pentacles, and that’s everyone having something to bring to the table and being appreciated for it, there’s no ill will or bad intentions in this reading at all. The Devil rev is at the bottom, wherever someone has been stuck, probably financially, they’re going to get unstuck because of the help of other people - and it seems to have healed more than just the finances. They were also spiritually fed in some way, they’ve learned a lot through this experience, The Fool clarifying is the beginning of a whole new life cycle. A good one! Color cards are beautiful, Oracle cards are positive, June is a good month for the things that really matter 💛
333 is here with Integration and 3 Pentacles showing sometimes the more the merrier, other people can help us along our journey and provide comfort and support during the hard times - or we can provide that for others, which Cancer is probably the best at out of all of the signs (typically).
Signs you may be dealing with:
Heavy Scorpio & Virgo, Cancer, Aries & Capricorn
Oracle: ✨
33 Integration 🧬
We are a sum of all of our experiences in this and other lives. We all bring forward a wealth of knowledge, talents, and wisdom. One of the challenges is remembering who we are. We are bombarded every day in every way with messages on who we should be, what we should do, what we should wear, how we should live…
These messages coming from the media, society, our family and friends, and even strangers can drown out who we are really meant to be: who we have grown into lifetime after lifetime. Find some quiet moments in your day to identify and start a relationship with that small, strong voice inside of you. Pretty soon you won’t hear the other messages. Many times in your interactions with others, you hear that small voice tell you something is not right. Your logical mind tells you stop it, nothing is wrong, you’re being silly/dramatic or overreacting. You may ignore your inner voice in a quest to fit in, be loved or admired. You do not realize that your inner voice is warning you that the other person’s energy is not matching their words or actions. Listen to your instincts about this situation or person.
Sweetheart 🫶
Pure - Unconditional Love - Beloved
Compromise 🤝
Agreement - Reconciliation - Consideration
We enter into June as:
Sun Sparkler 🎇:
“Integrity is what turns on the light.”
Sun Sparkler reminds us that it is through kindness to others and being of service that we are abundant. Are you living your life as fully as you can? Are you being honest and kind to others? Do you hold the door open for people on the elevator, or let it close? Do you let people merge over in traffic, or pretend not to see them? When we put a blinder on one area of life, it creates the same blind spot in every area. You can’t shut out pain without shutting out pleasure too. Sun Sparkler reminds you of the miracle of honesty, it leads to integrity. You may have done work for another but do not expect a reward, revel in alignment with Spirit, self-esteem is the gift. You’ve been elevated to a new level spiritually, continue to serve others and life will prosper beyond your wildest dreams.
What is to be learned in June:
Dancin’ Daisy 🌻
“Let’s just jump and see what happens.” - Joe vs. the Volcano
Dancin’ Daisy represents a new phase in life, the acceleration of all the events that happen. Daisy says “Come to me and jump beyond what you believe, into a new possibility.” It tells you take action where you may not have previously. Daisy is the life energy, she is connected to enthusiasm. Dancin’ Daisy is physical expansion and embodies in physical form the example we all seem. She represents a joyous time for you, a move, a job, or another significant change, such as a marriage. This also signifies taking a risk that will work with faith and trust. This is the moment after the leap, when you cannot see where you will land. The Daisy is reassurance that you will land on your feet, so keep the faith.
Daisy also represents radiant health. Spirit can only manifest through us if we honor the physical body we inhabit. This may mean that you need to adopt a good physical fitness regiment. Your will to heal yourself is great. If a man is attracted to this fable the indication is strong that he is pulling a new partner into his life. This is also an indication for him to look to a woman for his next brilliant idea. If a woman is drawn to this fable, she is the radiant being that is attracting all that she needs.
Yellow may be a lucky color 💛

It’s a humbling experience, while also being somehow fortuitous, when you deposit a $26.48 check into your checking account which will just barely make sure your account is covered a day before a loan payment is due, and if you didn’t deposit the check you’d be overdrawn in that account when the payment processed, thereby causing your account to receive an overdraft fee making you further in the hole.
And you only received a check for the sum $26.48 because you occasionally get minuscule payments as part of a class action lawsuit for a terrible cryptocurrency investment you made that was fraudulent. And you’ve never fully recovered from losing that money, because the lawsuit settlement will not even pay you back 1% of your losses when it’s all said and done.
And since you’ve been struggling financially you’ve had to make some other tough decisions and not always the best ones, like living on credit cards periodically and having to take out high interest loans for a stopgap.
And you’ve just been on reduced hours and salary for three months which has added another new level of stress and difficulty.
But you are taking the most austere measures you can, staving off bankruptcy for over a year. Lucky that no matter how bad things get* you at least have a place to live and won’t starve. Most basic needs are met. Your hours have just returned to full time so there is slight bit of relief coming. At least the kind where you might not need a $26.48 check to show up when it does.
You put a lot of things on the back burner not because you should, but because you have to, until absolutely cannot.
You try to get out of your head and stop thinking about how your life insurance policy would easily cover your debts and give your family a little something to help. But if you’re dead your debts don’t need to be paid since you aren’t married anymore and don’t have any kids or anyone else responsible for your failures.
But you’re not dead, not that lucky, you’re fucking here. And you’re fucking here for a good long while. So keep going. Don’t nibble at the shit. Just bite, chew, swallow. Repeat. Until….who knows? Maybe forever, but hopefully not.

What makes obtaining a Short Term Cash Loans with a poor credit history challenging?
With a poor credit history, you could be having trouble getting approved for a short term cash loans. We know how annoying and stressful this can be. Because there are a number of explanations why you can be denied the loan you require, it is crucial to comprehend why this could be the case.
Tumblr media
Lenders typically use credit files and ratings to determine the risk of their short term cash loans. In the end, the lender must guarantee the greatest likelihood of the borrower making timely repayments. Lenders find you a less desirable candidate if you have a history of doing things that have damaged your credit score since you seem more likely to miss payments or even completely default on the loan.
This increases the likelihood that lenders may reject your request for the necessary financing. However, we evaluate each application on its own basis, so you might be approved if you meet our lending requirements. While we offer short term loans UK direct lender, some lenders also offer "no credit check loans." These are loans for which there is no hard credit check, or one that creates a record in your credit history, performed by the lenders. Instead, they pose a series of questions to determine the customer's eligibility for the loan. However, ethical lenders will frequently run hard credit checks, which are available to other potential lenders.
However, our short term loans UK are intended for people who have previously been turned down and may have numerous credit checks on file. To assist you in obtaining the funds you require, our loans merely have less qualifying standards than other loan products. Getting a short term loans online is not the best way to raise your credit score. Nonetheless, you are exhibiting sound credit and financial behavior by making your loan payments on time and according to the repayment plan.
The way our short term loans UK are repaid is by the borrower being able to pay back the loan over time in several reasonable installments rather than all at once. This implies that, provided payments are completed on schedule, each repayment reduces the principal balance of the loan along with interest until the end of the term, at which point the entire loan is paid back. Small, unsecured loans made especially for borrowers with poor credit are known as bad credit loans. These loans have a size range of £100 to £2,500, and following approval, borrowers can quickly receive much-needed funds. Moreover, you will only ever deal with us and not with any other parties because we are the direct lender.
Our loans operate in several simple and effective steps. They are intended to assist you in escaping a financial rut and can be funded the same day, with funds arriving in the designated account. By completing the online application form on our website and providing the relevant information, borrowers can instantly receive a decision regarding their loan. Like with any other short-term credit options, you should think about whether you're a good fit for this kind of short term loans direct lenders and your ability to make timely repayments before applying online for a low credit loan. Your credit rating may suffer longer-term consequences if you make late payments.
