Vertumnus and Pomona, n.d.
This depiction is based on an episode from Ovid's Metamorphoses. The god of vegetation Vertumnus falls in love with the goddess of tree fruits Pomona, but she rejects him. He unsuccessfully courts her in the guise of various characters until he approaches her disguised as an old woman and thus gains access to her garden.

Vertumnalia - Aug 12th
Vertumnalia is the celebration of the goddess Pomona (fruits, orchards, apples) and god Vertumnus(god of the seasons), it is a celebration of the abundance of fruit and food at this time of the year.
To celebrate in the modern day, have an altar with summer fruits, flowers and plants, spend some time outdoors and leave an offering for the two gods.
Aside from the previous ideas, fruit juice, summer coloured candles, gardening tools, soil and dried flowers are all great altar ideas for Vertumnalia

Vertumno

(@lightofunova) A flurry of brilliant white flames comes into your vision, swirling together until they form a sparkling scroll on old parchment. Unraveling it reveals old text stamped with flowers at the bottom of the letter. Though it seems almost impossible to read, the text begins to shift and translate itself for you!
“Dearest guest,
You are cordially invited to a night of fun and games at Lady Reshi’s request. Should you wish to attend please come to my tower and bring your finest sleepwear. We will have plenty of entertainment, food, and more for you to indulge yourself in. I eagerly await your arrival.
Reshiram”
Artemis? The sawsbuck projected his thoughts into the domain, You have recieved a few messages.
Greetings, Vert. She looked up from the book she was reading. Was it on that cellular device?
Do not call me Vert. It’s Vertumnus. He paused. But yes, He levitated it over, From Jasper. I would not listen to it though, it is…
Ah. “Unsavory,” correct? At his grimace, she deleted the voicemail and pushed the phone away. It must have been accidental. Is there anything else?
Yes, you recieved this. He placed the scroll on the desk. He watched as she read it over, It almost set Asklepios and Aristaeus ablaze.
This is not from our Reshiram, is it? He shook his head. Oh, how wonderful! I’ve always wanted to visit another universe. I must begin packing at once!
How long will you be gone?
Hm, I do not know. Considering it’s in another universe, maybe a few minutes of our time?
A few minutes? Vetrumnus freezes. Who will take care of-
Why you and the others, of course! She doesn’t give him any time to respond before shifting her outfit and walking through a portal. I trust you, Vert!
(Luna has arrived at the sleepover! Send her an ask?)

The sprawling city of glimmering lights overtakes the white-sand beaches with their crystal blue waters and equally picturesque skies, not a cloud in sight. Palm trees line every highway, full of bright vintage convertibles with the top down speeding to their next destination.
Skyscrapers and Victorian revival mansions both fill the steep hills inland, with cable cars traversing between the ancient redwood trees and blue mists of an autumn morning. Or at least, what suffices for autumn in this world.
To the north are jagged cliffs and mountains, to the west is a painted desert of red and gold, where sorcerers research the secrets to traversing other worlds among stardust.
It’s 1974, in our world—or is it?
Elves defend the forests from the encroach of city, yet live in their own boroughs in town. Werewolves can be found in the neon lights of the cities at night. Witches gather to discuss the all-too-real consequences of their wars and magic, resulting in the environment’s cry of disaster in the form of smog rolling through the streets like water, the disappearance of the birds, and an increase in storms.
It’s a world of change, a world of cynicism, a world of poets and flower-children fighting to save what remains.
Welcome to the world of Vertumnus.
