You let out a shriek as soon as you saw him. Niisan stared at you, after a few minutes passed, he smirked while his gaze stayed on little old you; his younger sister.
You cower even more, shrinking yourself hoping to hide from his eyes, but to no avail. There's no way to run. If you want to run, you need to pass him. You looked down at your own feet, not wanting to see him.
"oh come, on. After all that, you don't wanna look at your niisan?"
You tried so hard to not let out a cry and give him the satisfaction. But you're shaking like a leaf; he raped you. He raped you. Which part of it is consent? Why does he speak of it as if the both of you just finished making love?
How can a brother raped his own flesh and blood?
"now, now, y/n. Be a good girl and suck my dick. I miss that pussy so much, i wanna try the mouth-pussy next. You don't mind, do you pumpkin?"
Fuck, he even use that nickname he has for you. How could he? How... How can kaneki be so evil? How can he bring himself to violate the trust and bond they both have for each other?
You let out a cry when you're forced on your knees and confronted with his cock once more. Standing up and hitting your face, you can't help but feel disgusted.
You turned away slightly, crying. "Come on, put it in your mouth!" He grabbed the back of your head, forcing you to choke pathetically instantly; it is your first time having a cock inside. It's not your fault.
Forcing your head back and forth to please him, you gripped his thigh for support, sobbing and blubbering with spits from so much force. Until he finally comes, it reminds you of the way he shoots his semen into your poor pussy; it's still sore , you thought as you remembered how he defiled your virgin and untouched pussy.
He lets you go, laughing softly as you hunched forward and coughed.
"clean yourself up, you look like a mess."

warnings: love potions
Tumblr media
Love in a bottle.
A fairly simple creation, Natsume thinks, all things considered. Especially for a magician of his calibre. The ingredients are straightforward enough to obtain, should you know where to look (as he does): the heart of a dove, an angel’s hair, a single speck of stardust, and the moon’s weeping tears.
Of course, it’s not all that easy as he makes it seem. Love is a hard enough emotion on its own, but to replicate it, fabricate it? It takes precision and finesse.
Still, Natsume has learnt under the tutelage of Wataru-niisan and his Mommy, two of the most knowledgeable magicians to walk the Earth. This little potion may be a little more time-consuming than he’d like it to be, yes, but it’s nothing compared to some of the other concoctions he’s had to create under Wataru-niisan’s watchful eyes.
As he waits for the potion to set, he finds himself thinking of you.
This has been happening rather a lot lately. He sees you every day in class and you always smile at him when you notice him. He doesn’t quite know what to do with these distracting feelings. Perhaps that is why he’s spent the past few hours holed up, attempting to take his mind off of you–though not as successfully as he would’ve hoped.
The potion begins to bubble up, distracting him from his thoughts as he attempts to salvage it before it tips over entirely out of the cauldron. Slowly, slowly, he transfers it into a little glass vial. It shimmers when the light hits it, a kaleidoscopic array of colours that signifies a job well-done.
He sets the bottle aside, taking a moment to stretch. His back lets out a satisfying pop and he hums to himself, pleased. His throat feels rather sore, though, so it might be best to get himself a drink of water. Kanata-niisan is always nagging at him about hydration…
By the time he gets back (he swears he was only gone for a minute!) he notices the door to the secret room is ajar. He peers in cautiously, and sees you standing there in the center of the room, something glittering clutched in your hands. Upon closer inspection, he realises it’s the bottle.
The bottle of love potion.
Oh, no.
“Natsume,” You say, slow and careful when you catch his gaze, setting the bottle down. Natsume braces himself for the inevitable confession. To watch you shape the syllables with your lips, to hear you lilt the words like birdsong, saying: I love you without truly meaning it, compelled by the whims of a false Eros. “Natsume, I’m sorry!”
What.
“WhAT.”
“I’m sorry, I swear I didn’t mean to…” You blink, moving closer so you can place your palm against his cheek. “Are you okay? You look…”
“Y-yes, I’m fiNE.” He assures, leaning away from your gentle hand. Why aren’t you throwing yourself at him? Why aren’t you blabbering meaningless poetry, miscellaneous lines about the hue of his eyes and the shade of his hair and the curve of his lips?
The potion is targeted. Its aim is to cause the recipient to fall in love with the first person they see which, in your case, would be him. He knows his potion works, he’s brewed it enough times for it to be so, and yet? You don’t seem affected?
“Natsume?” Your expression is soft, confused.
“It’s nothiNG.”
You reach out to touch him once more and he ducks, feeling your fingers lightly graze against the side of his face as he stumbles awkwardly backwards and makes his escape.
He can feel your eyes on his back, bewildered and maybe a little hurt at his brusque dismissal, but he refuses to turn around and look.
Tumblr media
Natsume keeps a close eye on you for the duration of the next week. He’s certain that the first day must have been a fluke, an accident, a minor setback–now that it’s over, things will begin to work the way he expects them to. The love potion will run its course, he’ll spend a week fending off your desperate attempts and then things will go back to normal and you’ll remain a regular annoyance.
But no.
For some reason, you still treat him the same. As you always do, all gentle smiles in the hallways and casual waves and hey, Natsume-kun, how are you?
It irks him to no end.
Why isn’t it working? Did he make a mistake, add too much of one ingredient or too little of another? No, that can’t be right. He made sure to measure it out perfectly. So then, why won’t you fall in love with him? Well, it doesn’t have to be him, of course, but it seems like it’s the most likely option.
(Maybe it bothers him–that you might be giving your heart to someone else. But no one else has to know that.)
He itches to solve this mystery, but he’s not going to run to Wataru-niisan as soon as there’s a simple problem he can’t figure out.
On Monday, he tries tailing you around discreetly. Yet you show no difference in how you treat your other friends and how you treat him. (He won’t admit–he was hoping for some preferential treatment.) Maybe you’re a little nicer to him, more gentle, more…soft–around your friends you snap back, just as snarky and unwilling to pull punches.
Still, you do notice him in the end and invite him to sit with you at lunch. He’s not once to pass up the chance to ‘do more investigating’ (to spend more time with you) and he agrees.
It’s nice, he might admit if he were to be held at gunpoint. You’re more chatty, but you listen to him when he speaks and offer your own opinions thoughtfully.
He can tell that your friends (specifically Baru-kun) have something to say about your abrupt change in behaviour but are kept quite by the force of your glare and Hokke-kun’s neverending jabs at the orange-haired boy, distracting him.
Lunch speeds by, and he feels like he hasn’t gotten enough time to talk to you. You invite him to sit with you and your friends again tomorrow and he agrees readily. After all, he needs to get to the bottom of this mystery.
On Tuesday, you’re paired up with him and Oogami-kun for a project. He doesn’t expect it, but you and the silver-haired boy get on like a house on fire. The two of you spend half the lesson chatting excitedly to each other about his dog, and it’s starting to annoy him.
(So what if he threatens to turn Oogami-kun’s hair orange if he doesn’t stop blabbering and start working? He’ll just match his beloved dog.)
(And it got you to laugh, so Natsume takes it as a win in his book.)
On Wednesday, he’s starting to suspect you may be putting up a front. He thinks he needs to get you isolated, perhaps, away from other people so he can gauge your reactions. He asks if you’d like to spend time with him after school. You agree, albeit a little confusedly. And that’s it. He takes you out for a little shopping, waiting for you to slip up.
But you don’t?
Nothing really happens on that outing
He just takes you to a little cafe–him seeing how your eyes sparkle when you look at the Specials menu has nothing to do with it, he was just feeling rather hungry himself!–and he pays for your drink and he wipes off some crumbs on your cheek (you blush rather cutely when he licks it off his fingertips). After, he walks you back to the dorms and you tell him you had a lot of fun and he agrees because he did and perhaps you should do it again sometime.
You give him a grin.
(His heart beats a little faster.)
By Thursday, he’s slowly losing it. Every theory he’s had has been proven wrong, and he’s no more close to finding out the truth then he was at the beginning of the week. Maybe there was a mistake in the potion after all?
Natsume decides to confront you once and for all, knowing that it might be the only way he gets any answers. At the end of another one of your little outings–he’d taken you to a little park and the two of you had enjoyed a picnic–he takes you aside. “Y/N, I have something to ask yOU.”
He feels…nervous? Which is strange, because there’s really nothing he should feel anxious about. It’s just you. You, someone whom he considers a friend, of sorts. It’s just you.
(Perhaps that’s exactly why he’s nervous?)
His only consolation is that you, too, look nervous. You’re fidgeting in place, unable to meet his eyes. “I, um, sure. What is it, Natsume-kun?”
It’s now or never. “Why aren’t you in love with ME?”
“H. HUH?!”
“The love potion, you drank it, but you haven’t been acting much differeNT? And you aren’t in love with me and I can’t figure out wHY.”
“The, the love potion?” You blink, confused. Then realisation hits you. “Oh. Oh, it was a love potion?”
Natsume is flabbergasted. You didn’t know?
“Maybe the reason I haven’t been acting any different is because the love potion didn’t need to fabricate my emotions.” You shrug, playing with your hair awkwardly. “And I thought you felt the same, but I guess not. Um, is that all you needed from me, Natsume-kun?”
Natsume, who has just spent the past three minutes speedrunning every interaction he’s ever had from you trying to see where the emotions you’ve mentioned come into play, jerks his head up to stare at you wide-eyed. “You–you like ME?”
“I do.” You huff a laugh. “I thought you were aware. I mean, you took me out on a date. Two, actually, if you count this one.”
“I didn’t intend for it to be that wAY.”
“Yeah,” You nod. All of a sudden you seem a little…sadder? And it hurts, to know he made you feel that way.  “I know that now.”
“But,” He hesitates, because this is a pretty big step for him to take but he hurt you and he wants to make it up to you, somehow. And he doesn’t know if he loves you or not but maybe he could, with enough time. After all, all it took was a week spent with you and that was enough to get him all giddy at the sight of you. It isn’t a stretch to assume a month could make him fall in love with you. “If you’re okay with it, maybe the next one will be a real daTE?”
You grin, just a little. “Yeah, I’d like that.”

Art by @cavematsu and old au shared with @girlymatsu and @ichikos ! The run down is tottys wife passes away after giving birth to their son, and 8 months later we fuck and it’s bad for both of us.
Tw: maternal death, intoxication, implied abusive relationships, mutual pity sex, grief and child neglect
Christmas party
You look so much like her it's insane. Todomatsu can see the similarities to the point where the differences might as well not exist.
But they do, and you pale in her memory. Like a generic copy of Todomatsu's dead wife, which is probably why he always thought about you during work.
Not to keep you in his back pocket, you weren't an option and Todomatsu would never betray the love of his life. Not for you - not for the poor man's Dani.
Your lips aren't as full as her's were, but that lipstick shade is close enough. Your complexion a bit more cool, almost murky in comparison to Dani's warm hue. Your eyelashes are not as full, but you have less laugh lines.
Even though Todomatsu never thought of you as Dani, nor Dani as you but it was easy before to tell the difference. Your voice is higher than Dani's naturally low pitch, despite being the same weight your fat pooled almost equally in your upper and lower half while Dani's shape was more a pear than hourglass.
She didn't need this much mascara, and she didn't need glasses. Dani kept her hair styled in a cute pixie that took much longer than Todomatsu would ever expect to maintain.
Under the Christmas lights Todomatsu can see all of the differences, but in the face of the similarities they might as well not exist.
You're bursting out into laughter, spitting out a bit of alcohol at a joke Osomatsu made at Todomatsu's expense. Dani would've laughed like that too, Dani had laugh lines from the amount of unadulterated joy she felt, and Todomatsu can see the hint of your overbite and beyond that your tongue. It's color and shape... Todomatsu looks away feeling flustered.
"He used to be afraid of the dark too." You lean over and push Todomatsu by the shoulder with tears in your eyes, "What?! For real?!"
A beauty mark right next to your lip, one right under your eye. Dani's mirrored the positions exactly.
Todomatsu's known you for a long time but he's never met with you outside of work. Why would he when he was so happy and in love?
You'd given him advice to relay to Dani, you'd even given him some old baby clothes before the ultrasound revealed Matsumatsu's sex. You offered tips based on your own history with a heart condition and the hardships you faced when dying during pregnancy.
But you lived and Dani did not.
"That was such a long time ago, Osomatsu-niisan. I'm not like that anymore." Todomatsu looks away again but he can't keep his eyes off of you.
You're throwing back another shot of sake and Todomatsu takes a drink of his own after each one. You keep smiling and touching him, and Todomatsu wonders would it be alright just this once?
Do you want him?
Would you care if he pretended you were Dani? After all its only been eight months, surely you'd understand the pain Todomatsu's going through. It's so hard to lose the love of your life, and Todomatsu has needs...
If you'd be willing to help him, he'd make it worth your time?
After all, aren’t you always offering to help Todomatsu out? His work, that he gratefully pushes off onto you, his child that he drops off in the early mornings so Todomatsu can sleep for at least an hour without wanting to smother the little bastard. Todomatsu let’s you give and give, and surely you want something in return.
You want him, right? For Todomatsu to repay your kindness, by letting you replace what he lost? That’s your goal, isn’t it?
Why else would you care so much? Isn’t the excuse, “I know how hard it is to lose someone,” a bit too lame? You’re divorced too, and for as long as Todomatsu’s known you, there’s this vibe of insecurity and over eagerness.
This time Todomatsu has something to give back. Maybe Todomatsu can repay you for everything you’ve done, he won’t ever promise you Dani’s place -but…can’t Todomatsu get what he really wants more than anything? You can stop doing the other favors if you need to, but this one is the most important.
Todomatsu has needs and you’re the only one left to fulfill them.
You're doubling over in laughter after Erina's pun. Dani would've shot a joke back thrice as funny without hesitation but you're choking trying to get your rebuttal out.
When you make eye contact with Todomatsu it terrifies him because that's not how his Dani smiled.
"I met your twin today at work, why didn't you tell me about her?" Todomatsu told Dani conversationally, she looked at him with confusion, "My twin?"
"Yeah another new recruite. You guys both have the same birthday and last name, it's almost as if you don't take me seriously or something."
Dani asked for the information and it turns out no, when she stared at your contact card she giggled and said, "Jesus Christ I can't expect you to remember me in a murder line up, could I?"
Simpson and Simplins. August 1st and August 2nd, in the same year too. That day when he learned these things about you Todomatsu automatically edited them in his memory so these aligned perfectly with his Dani.
Erina's talking again and Todomatsu's downing his 6th drink of the evening. He probably shouldn't have anymore.
"If you could have sex with one real person in all of history who would it be?"
The smell of gingerbread is gonna make Todomatsu sick, but jeez his dick is so hard thinking about the answer.
"My dead wife." Todomatsu's eyes begin to water and Osomatsu sucks in a breath next to Erina, he even starts scratching his cheek awkwardly. "Who died in childbirth eight months ago, I'd love to have sex with her one last time."
Just a few simple simple gestures and suddenly Dani is back in front of Todomatsu, alive and well with her swollen stomach and beautiful smile.
"My body still yearns for her." You snort immaturely next to Todomatsu, leaning over and Todomatsu slumps to the table.
"Lemme see her."
You slowly slurp from your shot glass, judging Dani critically, before swallowing the entire drink. "The ultimate downside of finding the one is she might die and leave you wanting." It's half bragging, half pure grief that has Todomatsu extending the phone towards you.
So you can see what you're being compared to. The perfection that was his Dani. You're drunk and when you finally wobble enough to sit up straight the first thing you slur is, "I pick your dead wife too."
What?
Todomatsu blanks, "She's so hot I want her to ruin me." You then snatch the phone from Todomatsu and show it to Erina, "Look how hot this dead girl is! If I knew how a threesome worked, boy say..."
You start pouring yourself another drink, but Todomatsu reaches out without thinking to stop you. He briefly tries to calculate if you're too drunk to make a move on, if it'd be wrong to try to take you home.
"What's wrong, Todomatsu-kun?" You ask, "I think you might've had enough tonight." Todomatsu gingerly pries the bottleneck from your hands.
"Don't worry, I'm actually faking this." You tell him with a wink which immediately lets Todomatsu know you've had too much. "Alright." He humors you while Osomatsu and Erina sneak off into their own little world.
"No, I definitely am." You look a lot more aware and less loopy than before. "In fact I can sound perfectly normal if I wanted to." That's a scary little trick. Your voice switches to its sober cadence.
"Are you lonely, Todomatsu-kun? I know I am these days."
Maybe Todomatsu was actually the drunk one because one moment you asked him a question, the next Todomatsu finds himself in his back on your bed.
When'd he get here, when did you take off his clothes? All Todomatsu can remember is a few disconnected sensations of pure ecstacy. Like a high he'd been chasing forever.
Todomatsu's Dani wouldn't have played coy for so long, she wouldn't have hinted at what she wanted. She wouldn't have used a joke to cover her desire.
Dani wasn't vulgar by any means, just open. She wanted Todomatsu and she let him know that without the confusion of subtly.
He can't close his eyes for this, not really. If Todomatsu closes his eyes then Dani disappears and all he'll be left with is your voice, and not her appearance.
You're beautiful in your own right, but you don't know how to touch Todomatsu like Dani could. He can still remember how she would drag her nails across his chest when she rode him. You're just clutching Todomatsu's shoulder with an unsteady grip, like you might push him away any second.
She's almost you, Todomatsu thinks when your nails hurt him. You're smiling - that's so it's familiar, your teeth catch your bottom lip just like his Dani's, and as Todomatsu lifts his pelvis you puff out like a gasp.
You say Todomatsu's name and he murmurs Danielle's. He can't look away, even as your head whips down in confusion.
"Hey?" Your voice isn't gentle, but even though it's clear you're offended you aren't shoving Todomatsu yet. You're still grinding so you can't be that mad.
"Don't call me by her name." Todomatsu shivers, so your voice can get that deep too? If he tries his best those dark freckles have their positioning flipped, and Todomatsu can pretend that the hints of your dark hair are actually a part of the ceiling.
Your glasses are pressing into Todomatsu's elbow where he's gonna keep them. You aren’t supposed to have those.
"I'm not her." Todomatsu blinks and he can't even see you anymore in his bleary vision.
"Todomatsu." You're losing your resolve quickly because Todomatsu remembers how much you loved it when he fucked you like this. "Keep up that energy, babe." Why didn’t you say it like how you’re supposed to?
Why did you say, “Please keep it up,” instead? Don’t you remember how you used to talk to Todomatsu?
Todomatsu hears your voice and corrects the mistake that goes through in ear out of the other, "I like that, Totty." Why would you say that, Dani? Of course you like that... oh Danielle... Does that feel good?
That whimper isn't right - and Todomatsu's lucky that he can't see a thing because he's sure the expression on your face doesn't match the mischievous, toothy little grin he's used to.
Todomatsu's grateful for the tears he can't wipe away, he's appreciative that your hips feel just a little lighter than before too.
When you were pregnant it was so hard to lift you like this. When you were - Todomatsu in a panic touched your stomach to make sure that little bastar- his son. Your son. Isn't there to kill you?
He sighs blissfully when he realizes your stomach is only padded with fat.
The noises he's making are harder to conceal, and you're not as passionate as before. "Please."
Todomatsu whines, "Don't make me beg, Dani." You snort, and that's his girl. Tease me, grab me by my hair and bite into my neck. Dominate me in every way, make me submit. Todomatsu's missed you so much, and he's been so good.
"C'mon now." You break the spell momentarily.
"That's not my name...This is getting uncomfortable," You still haven't stopped riding Todomatsu and he hasn't stopped pumping his pelvis into you.
"Could you actually at least not say her name?" You're mumbling something about trying to be understanding of his grief, but you're starting to feel bad.
"I know I'm not as pretty as she was, but can it just be me and you? Please?" You're cupping the bottom of Todomatsu's cheek, trying to wipe away his tears.
"You're making me feel worse than I already do." Todomatsu can hear what Dani would've say in his ears. This is getting pathetic all around, babe. If you're gonna sleep with someone else, at least do it properly. You can't triple cuck everyone involved and make it not weird.
Todomatsu swallows, trying to pick his next words carefully, he's being greedy and can tell he's not gonna get another shot at fucking Dani again.
You've finally stopped moving altogether, Todomatsu's tears have been dabbed from his cheeks and you look more terrified than he'd ever seen you at the office.
"No..." You suck in a breath, the absence of warmth will be missed but only briefly. "You're just as beautiful as she was I... you seriously look exactly like her, so I was being rude. I'm sorry."
Dani would've cussed Todomatsu out, she would've crashed her lips into his, and kissed him until he couldn't breathe. Dani didn't do jealousy, she knew she had Todomatsu wrapped around her finger and it took very little to regain his fleetingly wandering attention. That's what she did two years ago when you first showed up at the office. So Todomatsu wouldn't forget about her.
"You're not Danielle, and I know that." You settle next to Todomatsu to study the ceiling.
You're quiet.
"I don't want to be your band-aid."
That's bullshit. The selfishness in Todomatsu wants to scream hypocrite! Liar! Instead Todomatsu tilts his head up to look at your ceiling with you.
"Why not?" He asks softly so the rage in heart settles, "Isn't that the whole reason you're sleeping with me? Aren't you using me as your bandage?"
This line of thinking catches you off guard, "I wasn't imagining my ex." You defend yourself half heartedly, Todomatsu can tell you're picking your words carefully. "I didn't call you the wrong name." You don't even sound jealous.
"But you would've been here with anyone else since it's not as if you like me, or that I'm special to you." You roll over but don't kick Todomatsu out yet.
"You left your ex so you're lonely, and my wife was taken from me so now I'm lonely. Let's be each other's band-aids for tonight."
Todomatsu knows you've got one argument left in you and it's the same one he'd use in your position in order to hit under the belt.
Do you really think I'm okay with being her replacement?
No.
"Just say my name, okay?" That's such a pathetic request, and Todomatsu pitied you almost as he pities himself when you pull him ontop. "Don't call me Danielle, please." You're on the verge of tears, Todomatsu can hear just how vast that pit must be.
You sound so alone.
"I won't, Robin." You've looped your arms around Todomatsu's neck, and he kisses you tenderly when he slides between your thighs. Todomatsu understands his grief like he knows the back of his hand.
But this?
Todomatsu didn't expect to shift his attention from his own pain to the suffering of someone else. You're cautious in your neediness, like you're afraid that Todomatsu will say or do something that bruises you further. Your tongue is shy and skittish, your lips yield to Todomatsu's, you melt like snow under the warmth of his touch.
He hates having this much control. You feel so good wrapped around Todomatsu to the point where he could let you dissolve him. Swallow him whole until there's nothing left to give.
Todomatsu feels so alone.
The word slips out sincerely under Todomatsu's tongue, through his teeth and into your mouth. "Thank you so much for this." You pull away and Todomatsu murmurs them more into your neck, pressing a few kisses as he goes.
It feels so nice, so warm. "Thank you, Robin." Todomatsu pities you an incredible amount when the friction slicks, you really want to hear your name. "Thank you, Robin." You're squirming, and so much wetter.
If Todomatsu lifts your leg, you hold it there, if Todomatsu pins your hands you stay still. He can manipulate and control your body which is a freedom he's unaccustomed to. There's places to touch that Todomatsu's never felt before, new textures that he wants to explore, differences in anatomical variations. He wants to know more, to consume it. To bite, chew and swallow this novelty.
Dani wasn't submissive, Dani wasn't like this, and it's not Dani that Todomatsu is nailing to this bed. He's only been thinking of you - his Robin... No, Todomatsu tries to stake claim but it feels wrong. You're not his Robin. He doesn't own you, or can align himself with you in that regard. Todomatsu's heart still belongs in that urn sitting on the mantle of his living room. On that alter, with that picture, in the dust with his Danielle.
Danielle's Todomatsu is crying again, and you've just closed your eyes. You're ignoring Todomatsu's whimpers and sniffles, instead letting him bleed out in order to dress your own wounds.
"I love you?" You don't even sound convinced when you speak, Todomatsu can't tell if it's a poorly timed but legitimate confession, or if you're saying them in order to fulfill a fantasy.
"I love you too, Robin." Your eyes pop open wide, with the most lovely surprised smile, "You do?!" God, you ask so drunk and sweet that Todomatsu can't even feel guilty for lying.
"I always have." He plays along, that relief in your expression can't be wrong. "Ah! Th-thank you too then!"
You were wet before, and Todomatsu was enjoying fucking you but now, you're lying to Todomatsu and he's lying to you in turn. It's only been a few minutes but the sound of someone moaning his name, and saying so dishonestly honest 'I love you', while rolling their hips.
Todomatsu cums faster than he thought he would, and the second he does he breaks into a sob as he lies to you one more time, "I love you Robin." A major betrayal, and Todomatsu realizes with a jump he didn't use protection. Todomatsu cheated on the love of his life tonight and he didn't even use a condom.
You could get pregnant - Todomatsu could lose you too, he could kill you just like he killed his Dani. Todomatsu settles onto your chest, heaving hard to suppress the urge to hyperventilate. He won't throw up if he can find your heartbeat.
Todomatsu is driven by logic, there's nothing to he done at this point, if you're pregnant you'll get an abortion. He won't let you die.
Todomatsu nuzzles you until he locates your pulse. With an ear pressed Todomatsu stops choking, he stops writhing and his breathing stabilizes.
It'll be alright, Todomatsu won't make the same mistake twice. He won't.
_____________
This marriage is out of convenience since you seem hell bent on getting another kid. "Y'know, I'm kinda scared you never actually wanted to sleep with me. You just wanted to get pregnant."
Todomatsu's frustrated a bit since you only talk about the children, and work. He doesn't know a thing about you other than you love babies.
"I wouldn't have done that when I could just steal my cutie pie." You bow raspberries on Matsumatsu - Touhimatsu's cheeks. It's gonna take time getting used to, but Todomatsu is getting better at remembering his baby's new name.
Your toddler pokes Todomatsu's one year old son, then demands kisses of her own. The three of you are really affectionate, Todomatsu thinks with
envy. Over the months Touhimatsu's has become brighter of a child, now smiling at Todomatsu more than ever. He began crying and calling for mama so often you told Todomatsu you weren't leaving your son by himself.
Your son.
You claimed Touhimatsu as flesh and blood for months now, and he's come to love you as his primary caregiver. You sing to him, feed him, play, nap, change him and do all the little things Todomatsu was too tired to do with a smile. You look like his mother too, there's no denying that fact. Your physical appearance aside, the care you show for Touhimatsu is the exact amount you show for Vivi.
Touhimatsu is loved more as your son than he ever was by Todomatsu alone.
"Touuuhibibabyy!" You're singing one of your silly songs, and Vivi joins you, then Touhimatsu babbles along. The three of you start singing some love song you altered the lyrics to be appropriate for familial love.
This picnic is peaceful, the breeze is nice, Todomatsu's two children are laughing while you play a game of peakaboo, and everything feels wonderful. Todomatsu hopes the bittersweet taste will leave him soon, but for now he's glad he can witness this family. One day Todomatsu will feel apart of it by choice.
One day Todomatsu knows he'll feel happy that this is his life, one without conditions, or Dani's death as a prerequisite. One day Todomatsu will say, "I'm happy to be alive, and I love my family." and he'll mean it with his whole heart.
But for today, Danielle's Todomatsu sits with her on that mantle, in the urn, between the ribs of her shrine. He's smiling for her right now, but soon Todomatsu will smile for himself.

Crystal Hearts
Prequel Part 2: ... Love itself
»»——Previous——- CH9 ———Nexr—-««
"EXCUSE ME!!"
the door slam open--destroyed in the process as someone hand went through it to unlock the door handle--revealing a very, very angry Hiiro. With his fluffy bunny ears that are pointed upwards and facing outwards, bared teeth and making threatening noises such as growling.
" NIISAN? NIISAN WHY ARE YOU CRYING?!" it seems that your presence also become similar to Rinne which cause hiiro who's looking for his older brother to be alarm when he felt his big bro is weeping.
"Eh...where's NIISANNNNNN?" he doesn't see his older brother but can feel his presence when he look at your direction who's still weeping.
"MC! Why are you crying!?" He rudely walks into the room and picks you up from the sofa. And start to comfort you.
" wah. You felt like your my niisan!" He point out as he pat your back as you till weeping. While holding you, he look at eichi. "It's bad to bully!" he glare at him.
"Well, I am not 'boolying' anyone. Amagi Hiiro-kun. You see. MC just to admit it, the fact she made Hiyori intake those sweets when I warned them last time." Eichi chuckle how hiiro suddenly become a very overprotective over you. Its very interesting.
"Besides if I was a booly... I would question the most important thing... The sleeping beauty have awaken and pretending to be one of my faefolks..." His eyes zoon into you, telling you that he already guess what fae you really are. You froze at his words.
" What?" Hiiro tilt his head, in confusion. " If you don't want mc under your leadership... Then I'll take mc, to be under my brother rule!!" the younger Amagi cannot bare to see you be bullied so he decided for his older brother.
The Amagi after all have a village where his brother is to be a monarch if not for the fact he run away.
"WAHHH! MC!!! IM HERE!" aira who was dragged by Jun to a very safe place, which is the other side of world of fae with his speed.
He Came running to the place where he heard your taken too by Yuzuru after the event, his catching his breath as he look at the destroyed door. His eyes widen as he look at your crying face while being carried by Hiiro, who is sneer at eichi.
"... What's up with your ears..." He cannot help but question. " Ai!" you went down from Hiiro gasp and went to hug Aira. Through aira is scared of Eichi as his the leader of light faefolk his under at.
He hold you protectively, through tears are threatening to fall as his slowly effected by eichi presence. " MC did nothing wrong!" He quickly says.
" My... Why is everyone so overprotective of you..." Eichi can't help chuckle. " What a turn off event." He suddenly pause. " Honestly... You just have to say "yes , I did something bad" and I wont tell you off to the other leaders of faefolk. 'Sleeping beauty'." He went back to his chair. He rest his hand on his palm as he look at the three of you.
" Sleeping beauty??? W-wait--... Did that mean." Aira suddenly realize what eichi meant by that, his eyes widen and eichi who realize that certain light fae know about your secret yet...
" Oh my... Shiratori-kun... Could it be you knew yet never told me? Your emperor?" Suddenly sigh, and aira cannot help but fall down to his knee yet holding onto you while the effect of an angel made him felt suffocated.
Suddenly the issue become dare, it's no longer of an issue about your sweets full of "love"
"S-sorry... P-please don't t-take mc away! I wish to not say it!" He weeps as his emotions become disarray the moment he heard the angel sighs.
Was it bad? Was it bad? He don't want to tell anyone. MC don't want to tell anyone. Why does it felt so suffocating... MC don't go.. mc would be taken away if they know their secret... MC will be tormented for what they are... How can someone like him protect his friend....? Is he weak...is he weak???
"ai!" You worriedly hug Aira who's breaking down and finally stopped crying as you become very worried of what eichi bloodline of a pure angel is doing to your friend. "Stop it!" you glare at him.
"Aira! MC!" Hiiro who too gets effected by eichi sigh but not as much like aira is suffering in the moment. He went in front of you two in defense mode. Glaring at eichi.
"MC... MC *hic... I'm sorry... I'm selfish... I don't want you to leave.... *Hic..." The light fae cannot help but weep, his mind all full of thoughts of sadness and hopelessness. He cannot hear anything but overbearing suffocating feelings that slowly turning his heart dull.
"Stop it! Stop it...!" You notice something is wrong as eichi continued to frown at Aira action of selfishness, hiding your secret.
" Sleeping beauty. You have no right to tell me off for what I do to people under me." The light fae leader gives you a smile that isn't a smile as it never reach his eyes. "It's a common practice to punish who have go against the rule..."
You glare at him, the room felt very suffocating but you stood up and went toward him with steps that seems to carry weight and felt very heavy. Hiiro tried to stops you as everything seems very dangerous and scream death to him.
"STOP IT! DAMN YOU! I DID SOMETHING BAD, I DID SOMETHING BAD! STOP TORMENTING AI! STOP IT YOU MEANY! YOUR GONNA KILL HIM!"
you then slap him across the face. Eichi suddenly stops. Aira who finally out of the torture fainted into hiiros arm.
" pff-- ahaha. Hibiki-chan is so interesting!" after the long silence, eichi finally broke into a laughing fit.
"I HATE YOU, YOU BASTARD. THIS ISNT FUNNY! AI HEART IS DULLING YOU SICK FUCK!" you shakes eichi, quite rudely. Anger in your eyes.
"ITS MY FAULT. IT WILL ALWAYS BE MY FAULT. BUT IT'S FINE, DONT EVER TORMENT AI AGAIN! I DECIDED NOT TO TELL! " you felt tears fall from your eyes.
" so you don't have to punish ai..." you let go of Eichi and went to aira side as the amuse angel watch you kiss aira forehead to heal him.
A healing that an angel fae can do, to heal a dulling heart that's about to crumble. Aira who have an angst face slowly sleep peacefully.
"Usually keeping such an important news of the sleeping beauty being awake should be told quickly to the higher up. Keeping such very crucial information is penalties of heart crumbling or being feed noir flowers... But if you do what I order you. Shiratori Aira would be free off charge... Core Fae-chan..." The leader of the light fae, words are full of the truth.
"..." You held Aira hands as hiiro look at you worriedly, he doesn't understand what happened but he can't help but understand something crucial have happened in the room.
" What... What do I need to do." Your very determined to not make Aira suffer for your own decisions.
" Go to the human world and collect a red passionate Crystalize hearts."
"... Seriously red?" You look at him in disbelief. Red means having someone be smitten and head over heels in love with you. It's very not easy to get at all. You only see those when wataru give you, your allowance for the week.
"Oh my... Complaining? Collect 5." (Eichi)
"Ehh-- but that's--"
"It seems you wanna collect more. Ok go collect 14 of them. Like the day of valentine!" he finally decided, giggling as his very amuse and waiting for your response to add more to the list.
"..." Holy shit this guy is so mad asking you to go and have 14 people fall in love with you to collect those heart.
"Fine..." You sigh, it seems your gonna stay in the human world and practice your otome game skill in real life.

"MC~ your tail is so fluffy...!" aira who is resting on the infirmary says as you happily hugs him after he waken up. The white tiger tail that is yet to disappear after haft a day since you use Rinne spells
"Your presence is similar to niisan. How did that happened?" Hiiro who's watching you like a hawk commented. "Niisan is the only white tiger with the same presence you have right now." He cannot help but glare at you for a moment when he close his eyes and felt his brother is around but not really.
"I don't know...(´ε` ) " You refuse to tell. "I'll probably be back once the day end." As you said that the two look dejected.
"...???" You tilt your head confuse at their reaction.
"Awws .." they both says as they reach to pet your ears and held the fluffy tail till they can.
"You guys are fur-- aw..." You get pinch by Aira before you continue your words. You pout but hugs aira happily. "Sowwy." You apologize.
"MC~! I brought you guys dinner!" the door slam open revealing Niki who's holding packed dinner he made in worry when your taken away after you guys saved the day.
You all welcome him as you all hungry from the event just now, happily eating you accidentally mentioned your going to leave for the human world to aira.
"What?"

“Would you mind moving your fat ass to the free spot of the bed by any chance?” You can’t help but let the smile grow on your cheeks as Chifuyu groans and whines at the mere suggestion, repositioning his elbow right between your shoulders to squish you straight back down into the covers, so you almost receive a face full of hardbacks and paper. You try to roll onto your back to get from underneath him altogether, to which your clingy friend only lays his body right back onto yours.
“‘S not my fault your room is so cold. I’ll freeze.”
“Matsuno, get off!” you giggle once the tickle of his breath crawls from your neck all the way down your spine, shifting enough to get a hand along his side and send him skitting off of you. Ticklish. Your saving grace. “It’s not even me who keeps the room cold. It’s the damn apartment.”
You’d met Matsuno way back, and despite being a couple years younger than him and an -exhausting brat at the time- apparently, he’d always been there for you. No matter how much Baji had tried to keep you away from his less than stellar ‘hobbies’, there had been the one meeting, and then a second, and a third— and somehow you had managed to endear the older boy enough that years later, you’d still be friends.
Your begrudging best friend only rolls his eyes before plopping himself a more respectable distance away from you on your bed. You stare at the side of his handsome face until he gives you another look, then shifts a little closer, scrunching up the plush between you two. You really can’t get distracted again though, so you frown down at the mess before you. And understanding as ever, Matsuno runs a calming hand through your hair. You’ve been pretending to do work for a few hours now, but at this point the words barely have any meaning left. Just black ink on a page that’s making your head hurt.
A flash of dark hair passes by your door from the corner of your eye, catching your attention too easily. “Chifuyu, d’you think you could keep from flirting with my sister every fucking time you’re around or what?” The deep voice catches you slightly off guard, ripped out of your less than coherent thoughts to pry yourself up onto both elbows. But the way his sharp, brown eyes linger on you for a few breaths too long to be without meaning doesn't.
You right yourself a little more automatically, pulling at one of your spaghetti straps when the position pulls the top too low for your liking. Not that he has anything to say about what you do or how you dress anyway, but the instinct is still there. Even the hand in your hair slows a little. Your brother doesn’t disappoint in his reaction when he crosses his arms over his wide chest and makes a little ‘tch’ at both of your silences. Still ever the distrustful older brother, it seems, even though you’re definitely old enough to know by now. And so does he, for that matter.
Of course, you and Keisuke have talked about it. You often joked that you stole his middle school boyfriend away from him, pulling grins and disbelieving chuckles out of him when you’d be making dinner alone in the kitchen. Sometimes, he’d just turn the tv up loud enough for you to cup your hands over your ears and walk out. No more words are needed between a big brother and his younger sibling. And he’d found his own best friend just as quickly, so it wasn’t ever an actual issue.
Your relationship is about as unremarkable as they come. Or— it had been, until a few months ago. You’re not entirely sure what changed, only that his eyes find you a bit more easily now, like a blaring warning sign that sends shivers all up your spine. Lingering gazes that you can’t help but overanalyze, because Baji Keisuke is surprisingly good at not letting himself get read. And though you feel that same unease settle into your stomach when he meets your eyes again, a colder, harder glare, you pipe up. “You’re so jealous, nii~san.” The over exaggerated way you jut out your lip and snuggle into Chifuyu’s shoulder is enough to get your friend laughing, though your eyes stay on the noiret in the doorway. “But I’m sadly not his type. He’s all yours.”
“You’re stupid,” Chifuyu snorts when you finish, pushing you away from him with a hand on your forehead, then clicks his tongue. “I’d sooner die than fuck either of you.” His laugh is pleasant, soft and gentle and it makes you happy to see him so happy- eyes tracing the glint of the ring that sits on his fourth finger, definitely after the state you’d pulled him through only a few short years ago. It’s a good moment. Only spoiled a little by the expression on Keisuke’s face when he places a hand on the top of the door and tracks his eyes over your smile, down your top, staring at the exposed of your thighs like he’s got something else to say.
Living with your big bro had never posed an issue. He wasn’t the cleanest and you had to see a whole lot of him, of course, but as a broke student there really wasn’t anything to complain about. Kei nii takes care of you, pays for the apartment without much complaining, he’s not the worst cook in the world, and best of all- he wouldn’t stand for you bringing home regretable fucks you’d feel embarrassed about when sober. The problems start with his best friend, the one currently splayed out on your couch in only sweatpants that sit much too low on his hips not to be distracting.
Pretty, clear skin of his shoulders and chest are almost entirely covered in tattoos, you’d basically seen the collection grow over the years. All toned and pretty and distractingly available all the time. You should rephrase: the problems start with Hanemiya Kazutora’s way of eating you up with his eyes. His way of looking at you always had been distracting, from as soon as he came out of juvie years ago and basically went back to spending all his time at your house. The house of your mom back then, which felt a lot safer than you do now. You can’t help but feel— off.
That’s what it is. There’s something off about Hanemiya’s eyes, something you just can’t put a finger on. Like a giant snake waiting for you to get into range, or a cat staring down at your vulnerable neck. Bright eyes that track you all the way from the door to where you shrug off a drenched coat and trace over you as you walk to the kitchen, wordless. After a few moments he chuckles though, nodding at your choice of clothing. “Nice shorts.” They’re Kei nii’s, not that you really thought much about it throwing them on. So you smile in thanks.
There’s a part of you that feels bad for being so creeped out whenever he’s around. A part that loves scolding the other half of you for being so hung up on the idea of jail, of what he had done when he was younger. Everyone makes mistakes, and you of all people can’t hold past actions against him if you don’t plan on doing it for the two other prominent figures in your life. But it’s just— you turn to lean against the dining table as he gets up from the couch and runs a hand through his hair— you trust your instinct. It makes the hairs on your neck stand up any time you have to be alone in a room with him.
Hairs that are very much on end right now, filling a glass with water to distract yourself a little. “Where’s Kei nii?”
“Out… he’ll be back soon though,” the soft voice comes from your left, your focus on the floor, then the door as you hear him walk a little closer. You’ve thought of bringing it up to Keisuke before, but always decide against it. Those two have been through a lot together after all, and it’s not like you actually have a solution. So you suck it up and send him a tight smile when he comes to rest against the table like you are, all skin and charm and a cologne that smells familiar enough to make you a bit nostalgic.
And in truth, it’s not like he’s been mean or particularly unlikable. If it wasn’t for the major creeps you get any time he smiles or feel the brush of his skin over yours, you’d probably be able to have a crush on him for a little while— until it dies out one autumn and you’re back to being just Keisuke’s little sister. You’ve sure had your fair share of innocent or not-so-innocent infatuations with the majority of his friends, each and every one earning you a disgruntled squeeze or string of explicits from said brother. Usually ending in some derivation of ‘fucking gross’ and a chuckle by you.
But you still have to get up and walk around when he turns to you, picking up the remote from the coffee table to flick through a few channels. You nestle yourself instead into the couch, the soft background noise doing little to actually make you feel more at ease. You’re in your own house, shaking about Kazutora following behind. It’s silly, Keisuke would definitely say it is.
“If I didn’t know any better, I’d think you hated me,” he chuckles when you shift from your spot on the couch as soon as he lands on the other end of it, curling your legs to your chest. You give him a wide eyes look when you feel him staring, but he laughs. “Relax, bun bun. I’m not going to bite.” The slight flush of his ears and the way he props his feet up on the coffeetable are brushed off casually, but a cold shiver still covers your back in goosebumps.
“Of course I don’t hate you,” you mumble back, uncurling your hands from the tight grip on the plastic tool.
“But?”
“No but. I don’t… I don’t hate you, Hanemiya. We just don’t talk a lot.” You ignore the prickling of your skin when he hums, eyes flicking back to you every few seconds.
“You still got that boyfriend?”
With a deep breath in you manage to relax your shoulders, and rest your chin instead on your knees. “Mh-no, we’ve been done for a while. He up and left one day and didn’t bother even telling me about it so… it was pret~ty easy to figure out that it was over.” You turn your head to the side then, curl your feet into yourself a little more when you notice he’s still looking. Your cheek is pushed out on your knee. “Kei nii told you about that?”
His bright eyes seem to glitter when he smiles, sucking his bottom lip into his mouth for a second before he nods, looking from you to the documentary playing before you, then back. “Yeah, he has this amazing ability of not shutting up when it comes to you. It’s like he expects me to have a better idea of how to handle his pretty, little sister or something—” The little laugh that falls out of him rings sweetly through the room, the compliment almost flying over your head. “Which I don’t. Not one like you anyway.”
“I don’t—”
The door swings open hard enough to make you jump an inch. Kei nii does lift an eyebrow to see you sitting in the middle of the room, tilting his head in confusion. “You two bonding all of a sudden? That’s a first.” His low voice breaks the thick silence that was built to let out a low sound, somewhere between a chuckle and a hum. Before you can think of a response, he drops his eyes a little to your legs again, so you spread your knees to make sure nothing’s exposed, but no. You’re all covered up, and if he notices your frown his way when putting away his coat, he doesn’t mention it.
“It’s not,” you quickly quip back when his lips curl into a satisfied grin, letting him pull you from your spot to sit there himself, “we just haven’t talked a lot.” It’s a pretty feeble excuse, you’re plenty aware. Though all the years you were the one skitting around him most days after all, happy to let Kei shoulder most of the conversation responsibilities if it meant that you could slide off to your safe, little room. If it meant getting rid of the constant feeling of eyes on you. Isn’t this the same big brother that told you to trust your gut when you first started going to college parties?
When he tugs you back a little by your hand, you turn over your shoulder to watch his suspiciously blank face turn a little softer, a little sweeter. “Don’t go yet, just sit back down.”
“You took my spot.”
He’s not shaken. Just pulls your arm down more, and even with the little bit of pressure you can feel the way his strength works in on you. The look isn’t just for show, it says, I’m stronger than you. “Sit,” he says again, mouth corners curling up when you grab his shoulder to hold yourself from toppling into him. It doesn’t really work, and before you know it you’re falling over with your knees either side to catch yourself from falling right on top of him.
“Fuck you,” you whisper at him when Keisuke chuckles under his breath, using his free hand to clamp over your hips and pull you down properly, which means you’re now— in his lap, chest heaving a little too close to his and your shirt ridden up over his forearm, basically eye to eye. “Nii nii…” It shouldn’t be weird. It shouldn’t be a big deal to touch your own flesh and blood like this, and you know you could laugh it off. If only his eyes weren’t so damn dark and blown out, you would.
“Should I come back in a couple hours?” Kazutora suddenly clears his voice from the other side of the couch, sounding a bit too amused for your liking, and you can feel the heat from your chest climb just as quickly all the way to your cheeks and ears. “If you two want to get it on…” They probably glow with an obvious color of embarrassment, your lip lifting in protest. But Kei nii just looks satisfied with himself, narrowed eyes pinning you in place. Kazutora grins at you too, a toothy, gleeful smile at your misery. You dig your nails into the soft skin above your big brother’s collarbone in an attempt to make him let you go.
“What is— Don’t be fucking weird, we…” you bite your lip when you glance back over at your brother, his hands still on your hips. “Niichan, this isn’t funny. Lemme go.” It’s not quite so easy to ignore him when he drops his face into your neck, second arm wrapping around your shoulders to keep you in place as you jerk back. Because yes, you’re aware you’re the pervert here. His mouth is just- basically on your tits, and the breath he blows out goes through your shirt and tickles and he’s never ever asked for affection this way before. You’re not sure whether to curse him out or encourage him to let it out.
For a few seconds you sit like that, squished to your brother’s warm chest, your own shallow breaths seeming much too loud. But then you find the other man’s gaze, the way his tongue swipes out to wet his lips, and it has you pushing yourself off of Keisuke’s lap. Your brother doesn’t look too happy, but you really don’t care.
“I’ve got a lot of work left tonight, so you can eat without me,” you breathe out too quickly, busying your hands with the edge of your top when you stand. “Goodnight, aniiki. Goodnight, Hanemiya-san.” And then you’re out of there, legs a little too shaky, and with two sets of eyes trailing you all the way down the hall. You don’t manage to get much done.
And when someone comes to the apartment barely an hour later, you pretend not to hear the way the bed squeaks in the other room, muffling low groans by wrapping your pillow around your skull. If you don’t die of embarrassment, maybe suffication will do.
The next day is uneventful. You do your very best not to linger in any room with either of them too long. It’s not subtle, and you’re pretty sure you can feel the burning of Kazutora’s eyes on your face every once in a while, but it’s easy to ignore when you’re distracting yourself with cleaning up their mess. Whatever was said after you locked yourself in your room, you’ll never know. But you’re not particularly curious. You can’t help but think about it too much, the way his hands had flitted up along your sides with a bit too much eager possession, the barely tangible brush of his lips along your pulse point.
If it was someone else, it’d be romantic. You put the towels down in their spot in the bathroom, and fish out your phone when it vibrates against your thigh. A message from Chifuyu, curiously prying about your silence. But what can you say? That you’re having doubts about living with your older brother now, after almost five years of peace? That everything that happened last night felt the furthest from platonic, and that you hadn’t shaken him off like you should’ve? You look up when someone clears their throat, leaning against the doorframe as he does.
“You’re being rude.” It’s short, direct, his voice dripping with something you can’t quite pin-point. All you’re sure about is that he doesn’t sound too pleased when he says it, but it’s not mean. “Y’know Tora has had a rough life. He’s only around as often as he is because I don’t want him to feel alone.” Not exactly why you’ve been avoiding them— today, at the very least, but it still makes you grimace. You clean up the counter, put the toothbrushes left, right, left again- anything to keep yourself busy. Anything not to have to look at him. “The least you could do is pretend like you don’t hate him. I don’t like all your friends either, but you don’t see me making a fuss.”
“I don’t hate him,” you say again, voice threatening to break. It’s nothing you haven’t said to yourself before, but hearing it like this hits a bit harder. “What do you want me to do, niisan? I don’t have much in common with him.”
“He really likes you, you know,” Keisuke suddenly says, shutting you up instantly. “He says you make him feel at home, like he’s got some family of his own.” You should feel guilty, his tone says. And you do, disarmed with a single, simple sentence. This isn’t really news to you. Kazutora had come up here and there in conversation with your best friend before, about his home life, how Toman had been everything to him growing up. It’s a slap in the face to you, someone who’s always had someone.
“I went and got us some lunch. Come join us,” he asks, though it’s more of a demand. One you’re more than inclined to abide by, considering your actions all day. If he noticed, Kazutora most definitely did as well, and though it wasn’t the reason you’ve been walking on eggshells, it definitely hasn’t helped. Keisuke’s dark hair is damp, falling over his eyes as he leans forward to check your phone when it lights up. You stay silent though, biting your lip as you drag your nails along the white porcelain of the sink. “Okay?”
You nod. One short, deliberating motion as you try to find words to your thoughts. You want to speak up, really. You want to be an adult and talk over whatever it— that situation yesterday night— was, but your tongue feels so heavy. Too heavy to speak, let alone ask the pointed questions that are glued to your tongue. Seemingly knowing you won’t speak, he lets out a deep sigh and walks further into the bathroom. His hand comes to rest on your arm, his fingers wrapping loosely around your wrist.
“You’ve never been this fucking quiet in your entire life,” he grins, handsome face relaxed when you turn to face him. “Is that what a man’s gotta do to get you to stop acting up? Huh, brat?”
Heat flares right back up under your collar before you can help it, putty with the way his eyes flick from your eyes to your lips and back again. As easy as breathing, he rakes his hand up along your arm to tug you into him, letting you topple unmoving against his chest until you can smell his shampoo and the scent of fresh linen. “My little sister likes to cuddle, ‘s that it? You touch starved or somethin’?” Your hand shoots up and fists into his shirt to push yourself off, but you don’t quite manage to let go.
Not when he wraps his strong arms around you, not when a puff of air comes to the crown of your head, and not when his thumb presses comforting circles into your skin. “You’re so tense,” he mumbles into your hair, “don’t be like that. I can touch you, you’re family. You’re the one making it weird.” It’s soft and true and you instantly feel a bit sorry, because maybe Keisuke’s just going through some stuff. Maybe he needs this. But the silence still drags on too long, his hands sliding down your back, down, down, down until—
The buzzing of your phone breaks it. And Kei nii groans out loud, brows furrowing deep and harsh when you move to pick it up. His arm stays clamped around your waist, pressing your body too close to his own glowing skin. “Why the fuck-,” his eyes narrow further when he snatches the device from your hand, “is Chifuyu texting you still. Why is… I- are you two fucking or something? I thought you said I didn’t have to be worried.” His voice is low enough to have your hairs standing up on your arms, growled with such a visceral, sudden anger that you open and close your mouth a few times like a fish gasping for oxygen. His face is so close to yours when he stares you down, waves the phone back and forth in your peripheral vision.
But why- you have nothing to feel guilty about. “No, we’re not! He’s engaged, and he’s my friend, niisan. Why are you like that- a-and let me go!” This time you do push against his chest, an affronted furrow coming to your own face when he glares. You understand being worried about a mutual friend, but how can he even think that. Accuse you of doing something so vile. “He’s like a brother to me!” you breathe out to placate him, making a pitiful whimper when his grip on you gets a bit too tight for comfort. “Niisan, believe me, I’m not doing anything like that!”
You put all the force you have in your arm to widen the distance between you two, but Keisuke quickly puts your phone down to grab your chin and make you face him again. His hold does let up a little as he looks down at you with those deep, blown out irises that glint in the harsh LEDs. And then he clicks his tongue, leans down until you’re basically nose to nose and you slump in his hold. You can’t help it, it’s instinctual. If you want out you’d really have to fight, and you don’t actually want to hurt him, right? This is your big brother, the one you love with all your heart. Even when he’s mean and a hassle, even—
You freeze when his lips meet yours, first ever so gentle, but quickly pushing down more when you don’t pull back. Not that you’re in the state to do much of anything except listen to the pounding of your blood rushing past your ears. He leans in more and kisses deeper, pulling you by your belt loop into him as you shake and tremble, tongue brushing against your mouth. You finally pull away at that, almost toppling back from the harsh movement. “Don’t say stupid shit like that,” he grunts, straightens up to regard you and the way you’re looking anywhere but him. “You’ve known Tora for longer than you’ve known Chifuyu.”
He stays for a few seconds of silence, his own chest moving up and down hard enough to show under his shirt, before running the back of his hand under his nose. Your own head is spinning, confusion and anxiety mixing into a tight ball that sits at the top of your throat and keeps you from saying anything. “Come eat.” You don’t speak when he grabs your hand and laces his own fingers between yours, or when you pass by Kazutora who’s propped up on the bed. If he heard any of the commotion in the bathroom, he doesn’t let it show.
Just gives you a long, languid up and down that sends more cold shivers down your spine. Kei nii places your chair closer to his before forcing you down to sit, rakes his fingers along your back again, then plops into the chair himself. Like nothing ever happened. And the other dark haired man sits down across, tapping his hands on the table a few times before he smiles, pointing at the food. “Baji, wanna share?” His lithe voice rings loud through the apartment. It’s colder than usual, you think, biting your bottom lip hard. Kazutora’s smile is still off, a little too turned up at the corners, a little too predatory.
It only seems to widen when he meets your eyes without faltering, his own cheeks flushing a little. “You know what they say, sharing is caring.”
In a way, you anticipate the knock before it comes. Your music isn’t loud enough to entirely drown out the sound of the two of them watching tv or the call to some other friends, but it’s enough to keep you with your head down in the books. You have too much to think about as it is and not enough time in the day to make all the mangled pieces fit. Because the more you think, the more you remember— things you never took notice of now amplified with a spotlight. Keisuke had always been possessive, had always been unrelenting on any man you ever hung out with. You used to think it was a little funny, a little cute.
But with the memory of his lips on yours, the way his hand had slipped along your spine to keep you in place… Your body has a strange sensation that starts in the low of your belly and spreads all around. You pull out one of your earbuds to listen for the noise of them. The tv is out, and considering the phone call earlier it isn’t a stretch to think Kazutora has left for the night, and your brother is taking a shower like he usually does before bed.
You groan, raise your arms above your head, and drag yourself from your desk to let yourself drop into the covers with all the dramatics of a toddler. And it’s as you’re thinking over everything yet again, any sign you may have misread— the knock comes to your door. You turn your head towards it. “Hey, brat,” he mumbles, sounding … quiet. Keisuke isn’t loud by nature, nor is he particularly talkative, but he’s never quiet in the way that he sounds now in front of your door. “Did you lock me out of your room?” he asks at the silence, gently jiggling the handle a few times.
“I was finishing up my paper,” you softly respond, thinking over your words. “I didn’t try to lock you out.”
The man on the other side is quiet for a few seconds too, before he hums. “You gonna let me in at least?” Though the thought does cross your mind, you do get up to unlock the door. The tall man steps inside, leaving the door open after him. He goes to sit on the bed and you follow. “So…” So, time to talk, you think in response, sitting down too. “You didn’t like it, ‘s that what it is?”
The question takes you entirely off guard. “Wh-what? No, I- That’s not- You can’t just do that!”
“Why not? If you liked it, and I liked it—”
“I didn’t like it, niisan!” you snap back, barely noticing how he turns towards you so his legs are spread either way. Every touch sets you on fire though.
“That’s not what your face said earlier,” his lips quirk up when you try to hit him, grabbing your one hand, then the other too when you try again. “It’s okay if you did. I know you better than anyone else, don’t try to deny it.” He leans in, as if to kiss you again, and you pull back- hitting your head against the headboard in the process. “Stop wiggling, I just want to try something. Don’t make such a scene.”
“Niichan,” you yelp, turning your face aside when he crawls closer, nuzzling along your chest up your throat. “Why me? Why me?”
“Because I love you,” he only says, a logical justification for the sin at hand. You can’t help the way your body warms, glowing under him. But it’s beyond you why you just lay there and take it when he lets your arm drop to cup your cheek, lean down into your space- so close you can see each individual eyelash and the small scar on the bridge of his nose. ‘Just let me,’ he mouths, before his lips are back on yours. There’s no innocence in the way he kisses you, the hand that slides into hair at the bottom of your skull and tugs. Just tongue pushing inside and greedy, wet kisses that make your stomach flip.
He groans when you kiss back, a throaty sound, pulling back to look at you. Your flushed lips and teary eyes are enough to have him huffing, diving back in again. He tastes nice, your mind supplies, and your mortification only burns through your chest hotter. “See,” he pants when he pulls back, “you want it. I know you.” He traces his finger along the seam of your mouth for a second, prying it open with a hum. “Someone we know told me you would, you’re a little slut- hm?” It’s unfairly effective, his fingers dipping inside your mouth and exploring your tongue, spit coating them as he presses further. “Y’should’ve told me, baby. If I knew my little sister was such a whore—”
“Stop, stop please. We can’t.” Though you say it, you have no intention of actually moving, everything hurting from the need, the touch. You want it, it rings through your skull.
“We can.” As his hand dips under your shirt, you can feel your panties cling to your pussy, a traitorous feeling of your own body working against you. You never wanted this, you didn’t, he’s wrong and you know it. But his large hand pawing at your tits under your shirt and the way he nudges a knee between your legs is working. “I can tell,” he whispers in a sing-song voice, thick lashes framing his dark eyes.
You let out a little sound he accepts with a grin, pulling his fingers out to kiss you again. Sloppier, letting his spit stay on your tongue. “My little sister just wants to get fucked by her big brothers, right? That’s what gets your pussy gushing?” He chuckles when you squeak at his hand, grabbing his wrist where it’s making it’s way into your pants.
“Please-” stop. It doesn’t quite make it past your lips, definitely not when he licks a stripe from your jaw down your throat, sucking a mark into the skin. Your body is so hot and everything is sensitive to the touch.
At this point you’re just as embarrassed of the situation as you are at getting turned on in the first place, of how you can’t manage to say ‘no’. Even though you know you should. Even if everything is crumbling around you. His self-satisfied grin only grows when the wet sound of his fingers sliding around in your wetness makes you slick more, your body actively sabotaging you. You turn away, bury your face into your pillow as he starts rubbing your clit. The rough pads of his fingers feel like heaven, and your thighs shudder when he rubs you just right a few times, biting down on your neck.
He grinds himself against you, head cocking back with a sigh. He’s hard. Your big brother’s cock is hard in his pants, and he rubs it between your legs enough to have you mewling and shuddering. It’s embarrassing, it is, but as long as no one knows… “Say it for me,” he asks then, already busy shuffling your shorts down your legs. He rubs a palm over your pussy, before landing a slap straight between your legs and laughing when your legs twitch. “Come on, tell me you want to have that ‘big brother’s cock’.”
He spanks your pussy again, before spitting on it and lazily rubbing that around. “Come on~”
“You started without me?” it sounds from the door, your eyes shooting open to watch Kazutora with only a towel around his waist. A towel that’s tenting over his cock, as Keisuke grabs your tits again and rubs himself against your soft thigh.
“Just a little. Hurry up, I’m hard as fuck.” He shoves his pants down to let you admire him for only a second, mind flip flopping between both men again and again. Kazutora does as asked, undoes his towel to scoot in next to you two on the bed, and groans when slapping your tits, pinching your nipple between skillful fingers. His cock twitches, glossy tip and red and so hard, it’s hard for you to imagine he hasn’t been for a while.
“Fuck, I knew you were gonna be so good. I fucking told you, Baji.”
“Yeah, yeah,” he breathes out, making room to let Kazutora latch his mouth onto your nipple and suck, his free hand toying with your clit. It’s unfair, the amount of stimulation leaves you a cockhungry mess. Your brother kneads your thighs for a few seconds, eyes narrowed, before he takes over for Kazutora to spit on your pussy again, leaning down to suck on your clit.
But he seems to think better of it and groans, getting up between your legs to pull your hips level with his. “I’m fucking her pussy though. Your big brother’s gonna fuck your pussy nice and full.” Your mouth is occupied by Kazutora’s, so you can’t even whine or say anything in response. But the effect is instant, pussy clenching and more slick mixing with the mess between your legs.
Kei nii grins, before lining up. “You like that?” Kazutora asks when he pulls back, looking too lovingly into your eyes. He’s all flushed, like a schoolgirl with a crush. “You’re a twisted little thing, baby. I love it though. I really do.” He sits up on his knees to brush some hair away from your face, then smiles so pretty. “Open up.” As Keisuke rubs his throbbing cock between your legs, arms clamped down on your hips like his life depends on it, you can’t help but whine out long and pitifully, something that makes him smile.
Another tap to your lips has you lulling out your tongue, letting Kazutora rest the head of his cock onto it. Your lips wrap around him as he sighs, placing his large hand on your head to push a little closer. While your brother slides in between your legs, stretching you so wide it stings, Kazutora stares at the way you swallow around the cock in your mouth and fucks into your mouth. Spit dripping down your face and tears clumping your lashes together, moaning incoherently. Kei nii pushes in deeper, places his hand on your belly to make you feel every inch as it slides into you so much more.
“You gonna let me breed this cunt nice and good? Fill you up, fuck my baby into you?”
You choke around Kazutora’s cock when it’s paired with a thrust from both men. “Shit, she likes that. You like your brother’s cock this much?” Your agreement is muffled, but Keisuke’s face lights up a little too eagerly when you still do your best to nod, bottoming out inside. Your pussy is a mess, spit and your own slick dripping down your ass into the fresh linen.
“Call Kazutora niisan too,” he orders then, thumb on your clit as he pulls back, narrowed focus on your cunt as it clings to his thick cock. “He’s been wanting this for longer than I have, y’know.” Kazutora lets you up to take some much needed breaths, before he leans down to kiss you again, cup your cheeks and worship your mouth. Tugging your bottom lip between his teeth, sucking on your tongue. As Kei starts a ruthless pace, hard, deep thrusts creating a lewd ‘pap’ every time he bottoms out. His cock fills you up so well, it’s making your mind twist. “Come on, slut, say it.”
The string of spit between your faces is broken when he pulls back to gaze at you and your fucked out expression, fucking his cock into a tight fist with your spit. Your mouth falls open when Kei nii pinches your clit hard, legs clamping around his ass, and stare back at the half blond-half noiret as he waits. “Tora nii~chan,” your voice comes out high pitched and whinier than you’d like, but the way he reaches down to grab his balls is intoxicating. “Tora niichan, wan’you to fuck my throat as nii nii breeds me, please. Please, p-please—”
Keisuke chuckles. “You’re gonna make him cum.” But he doesn’t slow, just rocks the bed back and forth as he drives in and out of your pussy with a crazed focus, hitting your spot just right. You grab at his arm to dig your nails in while Kazutora gets back over your face, this time gripping your face tighter as you lick along the slit.
“Such a good little sister. Our little slut.”

*slides in* can i have some fluff about tsuzuru and reader meeting the entire minagis _(:3」∠) (p/s love you emily~ hope you have a nice day)
My face when I read this request? I am FLOORED Miru. Big brain time. Love you too 💕
Thanks to @androidjasmine here is a photo of the young ones and their names to keep you all on your toes! It’s all fun and games until you remember everyone is called almost the same. Enjoy! 💕
Meeting at the Minagi's (TsuzuruxReader)
Kaoru stopped in his tracks and squinted his eyes, holding onto the heavy basket full of clothes. “Are you two really going to stay there until they come?”
“Of course we are!”
“We are!”
None of his two youngest brothers even bothered to turn around, eyes fixed on the door’s entrance, hands on their hips.
The seventh Minagi adjusted his glasses from inside the living room at the responses. He then licked his finger to pass another page of his book. “Don’t waste your time Kaoru-niisan. I’ve already tried to talk to them. It’s a lost cause.”
“Hey, I heard that!” this time Takeru’s head moved slightly, though his body and eyes remained facing the door. “And we are not a lost cause! We will make sure this Y/N person is good or bad before they set a foot inside!”
“Inside!” the youngest Minagi happily yelped.
Kaoru rolled his eyes, leaving the basket on the floor of the living room. As long as they were occupied for now it was fine, he imagined. He had been all over the place since he came back from school so any peace he could get was appreciated. “Can you fold these Tooru? I need to check on the vegetables cooking for dinner. Don’t want to ruin them.”
“What are we having?”
“Stir-fried crispy noodles.” Kaoru looked at the clock. “Some side dishes too If I manage.”
The young boy left the book on the side and stretched. “Sounds good. Want to help me Mitsuru? I know you can fold socks now.”
The soft boy who had until then been engrossed watching tv turned around quickly. “Yeah! Can I show them to Tsuzu-nii when he comes? He doesn’t know I learned yet!”
“Sure. You better fold them the best you can then, okay?”
“Okay!”
Kaoru smiled at the exchange. He was about to head back to the kitchen when the front door opened. “Ah, those must be-”
“Get away from Tsuzu-nii!”
There was a sound of something heavy falling and hitting the ground.
“Ow! Takeru what the-That hurt!”
“Tsu-nii comes home!”
Laughing, Yuzuru ran past the first twin and jumped on top of the second one -still untouched- who took him in his arms.
“You don’t have to follow everything Takeru does Yuzuru.”
“Come on now, I already told you before they are not coming for another two hours!” Kaoru walked in and bent over to help them stand. “Sorry Suberu. They have been all over the place about Tsuzuru’s and Y/N-san’s visit.”
“I can see that… why though? You didn’t act like this with Meguru-nissan.” he caressed his pained back. Takeru huffed, crossing his arms and turning his back on them.
“Meguru-nii stinks! He hasn’t come back to visit ever since he got married!”
Noboru chuckled, leaving Yuzuru once again down. “I see some pieces coming together.”
“Me too. Anyway, you two can stay here but only as long as there’s no more headbutting. You hear me Takeru? You promised you would behave today.” after he received a pouty nod from him, Kaoru decided to leave it be and turned his attention to the middle schoolers. “Welcome back you two. How was school? Think you two can help me prep the table and take away the toys?”
“Are mom and dad not home yet?”
“They both texted they might be a bit late, hopefully still on time.” The oldest finally managed to enter the kitchen, lowering the heat of the big pan. He should start prepping the rice and the noodles.
“Then we’ll shower and come back down.”
“Hey Mitsuru, are you and Tooru folding socks?”
“Yeah! I’m going to show them to Tsu-nii!”
“Tsuzuru’s partner uh.” Suberu muttered as both climbed the stairs. “I'm kinda excited too, not going to lie- who knew this day would actually come.”
Noboru laughed softly, following his twin inside their shared bedroom. “I know. Whoever was able to crack the head of that brother of ours, as much as I love him, deserves a raise.” .
.
.
A sneeze came out of you stronger than you had anticipated, making you stop in the middle of the road.
“You okay there? Here.” Tsuzuru looked inside his pocket, pulling out a small box of tissues and handing it to you.
“Ah- Thanks.” You cleaned your nose while looking at him ask for two train tickets on the station. He then gave you one and kept one for himself.
“It’s weird for you to sneeze, do you think you are getting sick? It’s gotten pretty chilly at night lately.”
“I’m good. You on the other hand are the one who looks constipated.”
“Ah…” He sighed, shaking his head. “Well, you can say that again, sorry. I don’t know why I’m so nervous.”
You nudged him on the way to the platform. “You worry too much. It’s just your parents and brothers right? Anytime you mention them it even makes me jealous of how much you all care for each other.”
“They are great. For the most part at least. It’s just… I guess I’m like this because I’ve never brought home someone. So, yeah. Don’t pay much attention to it.”
And while he tried to shrug it off, you couldn’t help but feel a little happy. You both had been dancing around the idea for a while, and after arranging times, although the two oldest Minagi brothers had had some difficulties to come at the last moment, you both decided to keep the day and meet the rest of the family.
“You know, I would lie If I said I’m not nervous, but I also can’t say I’m not excited. Hey,” tapping Tsuzuru’s knee he spun to face you. “We got this. Mankai was already covered right? I doubt I’ll have a bigger interview than that one.”
The sound of the train made its way into the station at the same time Tsuzuru groaned.
“Please don’t bring that up. I’m still trying to forget it.”
You laughed at the face he started to make. “See? This will be a walk around the park. Plus I believe bought sweets for everyone,” you lifted the token bags you had been carrying since you two had met and nodded proudly. “I count on convincing at least four to my side.”
Your joke finally made him grow a tiny smile. As the train stopped in front of you two he reached out to take your hand into his, your touch seeming to calm him down. You gave his hand a light squeeze.
.
Later on
“Okay, here we are.”
You rolled your eyes at your boyfriend’s dramatic remark when he stopped at the sight of -what you guessed was- his household roof.
“Tsuzuru.” cupping his face you pulled him close, his nose against yours. “I love you and I’m going to love your family too.”
His cheeks grew warm at your loud statement. “Just… if my little brothers are too much, let me know. Everyone kind of… tends to get overexcited.” he confessed. You both walked up to the front door, Tsuzuru knocking a few times before he stepped back to stand next to you.
Immediately a few voices came from inside the house, followed by the sound of closing steps. A woman opened the door, beaming at the sight of you two. “There you are, welcome!”
“Hi mom.”
“Hello dear.” she hugged him tightly as you followed them inside, setting down the bags and enjoying the scene. She gave off the same natural warmth and comfort Tsuzuru gave off, along with the distinctive turquoise vibrant eyes both wore. "I'm glad to see you are doing good," she then turned to you with a gentle smile. “And you must be Y/N, it’s so nice to formally meet you in person.”
You smiled back as you bowed. “I feel the same. You have a very lovely home by the way,” Tsuzuru and you started to step out of your shoes, tucking them up against where the others lay when the voices you had heard with the door closed -and a good sound of running steps- became louder and louder.
“Oh, I guess the twins weren’t able to stop them.”
“Tsuzuru-nii!!”
Tsuzuru's mother moved you both discreetly to the side as three balls of energy of different heights passed in front of you and tackled your boyfriend, making him almost fell to the ground. "H-hey, careful!" All of them wore brown hair and turquoise eyes just like in all the photos you had seen of them, and talked at such speed it was difficult for you to understand what one said over the others.
"We missed you!"
"Missed you lots!"
“Yeah it’s been ages, what took you so long?!”
Your heart grew warm when you noticed Tsuzuru’s eyes softening, even though he was slightly scolding them at the same time -trying to calm them down. You turned to her mother, who was watching the scene with the exact same expression. “Is there anything I can help you with meanwhile? I guess preparing food for this many people is no small feat.”
“Oh don’t worry Y/N, you are our guest today. I imagine you are tired too.”
“Tsuzu-nii you have to see my socks, look!"
"Leave the socks alone, come upstairs to see what game mom bought us last week!"
“Well aren’t you mister popular around here.”
His mother chuckled, embracing herself. “They get really attached to him whenever he comes back.”
“I imagine.”
"Are you Y/N?" one of them glanced your way, hiding behind Tsuzuru but without fully letting him go.
"I am. It's nice to finally see you all instead of just your pictures."
“Woah! Are these presents?”
“Yuzuru?” his mother called out “What did we talk about looking inside other people's bags?”
“Oi, Yuzuru!” Turning away from praising Mitzuru’s folded socks and Takeru’s hold, Tsuzuru tried to take him away from your bags too. You smiled, waving silently as to tell them it was okay. You crouched down to his height.
“Yup! Some sweets I brought for everyone later. I hope you like mochi.”
“I do! Take-nii too!”
“Is that so?” You turned to said boy, making him flinch and blush, still trying to hide between Tsuzuru’s legs. He glanced your way frowning shyly.
“I only like it with cream...”
“I-I like it with chocolate and strawberries!” Mitzuru called getting close to you now, socks now long forgotten. You smiled, mentally thanking asking Tsuzuru for advice.
“Good thing we have both and some more then.”
As if that changed everything, the three youngest Minagis started jumping and celebrating enthusiastically around you. Tsuzuru’s mother smiled while Tsuzuru himself tried to calm them down again.
“Thank you Y/N. I will take them to the fridge. For now let’s try to enter the living room and get you two seated. Kaoru has been all afternoon in the kitchen and your father and I are trying to help him finish making dinner, I’ll go get them.” .
.
.
With the youngest right on his toes, Tsuzuru guided you to the living room, finding the twins and the one you guessed was Tooru -mainly because of the glasses- waiting patiently for their turn.
“Hey guys. Y/N, these are Noboru and Suberu, the twins and Tooru.”
“Hi there!” you waved brightly, receiving a few quiet smiles. They seemed warier to approach you than the young ones, so you had waited for Tsuzuru to present you. "Oh. Tsuzuru was right, I can differentiate you better than I expected."
"Ah- yeah, when we were younger we used to look a lot more similar."
"I see... Are you two really middle schoolers? I'm really jealous of this house's general height."
The spring member laughed while turning to the one who had been quieter, kneeling next to him. “Hey buddy."
"...Hi"
"I see you are already on the second volume of that series, uh” Tsuzuru placed a hand on top of his head patting it. “I loved when I was younger a lot too.”
Tooru looked up at him surprised. When he noticed his behaviour he blushed, adjusting his glasses and quickly lowering his head smiling. He hugged the book against his chest tighter and nodded. "I missed you around, Tsuzuru-nissan."
"Me too." Tsuzuru patted his head once more as he stood up. "Y/N's right, I can’t believe you two are this tall already.”
“Well- It’d be nice to beat you nissan.”
At that moment another figure entered the living room, older than all the others you had seen so far. “I hope we don’t scare Y/N with all this chaos guys, we can hear you from all over the kitchen.”
You walked up to him and bowed with a smile. “Everyone has been great so far. It’s nice to finally meet you, Minagi-san.”
He nodded with a friendly smile, the wrinkles around his eyes making his face calming and comforting to look at. “The sentiment is mutual. You know, Tsuzuru's never brought anyone home before. He must be serious about you.”
You grinned, noticing the spring member's face gain color. “I’ve been somewhat informed.”
“Yeah! How did you convince him to go out with you?”
“I know! Is it because he tells amazing stories?”
"He also plays football super good."
"But not as good Meguru-nissan!"
"But still-!"
“Guys I appreciate the effort but can you not.”
The man gave a relaxed chuckle, ruffling his playwright son’s hair affectionately. “We are just glad to see you are doing good Tsuzuru, we’ve missed you.”
“You all have a weird way to show it.” Tsuzuru sighed embarrassed.
“Mhm? We haven’t taken out the albums yet.”
“And it will stay like that over the whole dinner.”
“Coming through!”
Making way for them, Tsuzuru’s mother and Kaoru arrived with a few more plates to share with everyone in the middle of the table. After they were placed, the high schooler turned to you. He gave away a similar vibe as the spring member, looking a bit all over the place, although that could also have been because of all the cooking and prepping you imagined it took. “Nice to meet you. Kaoru, right?”
“Yeah,” he smiled back. “Nice to meet you too, Y/N-san. The house is a bit of a mess but I hope you enjoy dinner at least.”
Oh, he definitely is a clone of Tsuzuru. “Are you kidding?” you shook your head at the number of plates with the biggest smile. “It smelled amazing even from the entrance! I can’t believe you cooked all this.”
The boy flushed at the sudden compliments. His parents shared a smile behind you as they made everyone get to their seats. “Ah- well, kinda. We use to have food prepared each day so it wasn’t that difficult.”
“Styr-fry crispy noodles, uh?” Tsuzuru looked around as you all placed your hands together and gave your thanks. “Mhm, this is good.” He nodded contentedly. “I can't believe how much I missed this flavor. Thanks Kaoru.”
Kaoru instantly lighted up at the statement, making you understand just how much Tsuzuru’s opinion and figure were valued around. All the young ones had fought in order to sit next to him, so you decided to give away your seat and instead eat next to one of the twins and his mother.
“So Y/N, are you studying too?”
“Yeah.” You explained your major and engaged in conversation with Kaoru and the twins, talking about selecting careers and future schools.
“How’s Tadoru-nissan? I’ve talked to Meguru-nissan lately but he’s unavailable whenever I call.”
At Tsuzuru’s questions, his mother placed a hand on her cheek pensively. "I wonder too. The last thing I know was him staying in an old village, where was it...?" her husband shook his head when she glanced at him. "But well- you know how he is. One day on one place yet tomorrow he could be perfectly knocking on this door."
"I hate how right you are..."
“Hey, Y/N! What do you think of his stories?” Takeru looked at you, eyes bright with expectantly. "Aren't they just so awesome?"
Having your mouth full too, you could only give him a thumbs up while nodding. You swallowed and chuckled. "They are. Your brother is pretty awesome in general."
You noticed Tsuzuru rolling his eyes, hiding his probably flushed face by drinking water.
“Right? He works so hard too!”
“Maybe too hard though.”
“I agree.”
“We used to do plays written by him when everyone was younger.”
His father leaned on the table entertained. "Right. You all loved to be selected for different roles."
“Oh, I didn’t know that! I’d love to see a full Minagi play at some point.”
Tsuzuru's eyes opened in shock. You could perfectly read the word traitor coming from his lips before gasps and general chaos erupted.
"We could?! I want to!!"
“Man they were a mess but it was fun. Tooru always wanted to be the hero, remember?”
"Me? No way!"
“Play, play!”
“I-I too wanna do a play written by Tsuzu-nii!”
His mother cleaned the corner of her third-youngest and smiled. “Maybe Tsuzuru could write something the next time he comes. Now it’s dinner time okay?”
Takeru gasped with excitement and stood up, looking at the playwright. “That would be so cool! You have to promise you will make one for us!”
“Promise!”
Tsuzuru scratched the back of his head. He looked in your direction but you shrugged, enjoying the situation too much to intervene. In the end he sighed and smiled defeated. He could never win against such excited faces. “Sure, I’ll try to come up with something next time.”
"Yay!!" .
.
.
“Are you sure you two don’t want to sleep here tonight? It’s gotten really late.”
“It’s fine mom. We both have University tomorrow so we should try to head back”
After having dinner and enjoying the sweets you had brought, midnight almost reached the Minagi household, so you two decided it was about time to head home. You were now at the entrance, having already said goodbye to the rest of the siblings and now being just both parents and Kaoru left.
“Alright, just be careful okay? And Y/N, come back whenever you want. We loved having you today.” Tsuzuru’s mother gave you a hug while his father smiled agreeing, nodding as he rocked an already sleep Yuzuru in his arms.
“It was a pleasure.”
“I’ll go with them,” Kaoru suddenly decided, stepping in to grab his own shoes. “I want to buy some ice cream from the convenience store anyway.”
And so, you three kept talking until the station came to view. Tsuzuru took a deep breath. It had been quite a while since he had walked around like that, a nostalgic feeling emerging as he remembered old times by looking at the streets. Time really flies.
“You didn’t have to walk us back, it’s late.”
“I know. Still wanted to.” his younger brother shrugged and placed his hands inside his pockets. The evening air was fresh. “I like them.”
“Uh?”
“Y/N-san, I mean.” looking behind Tsuzuru, he saw you humming while waiting for the train tickets back to Veludo to come out from the machine. “They must be special if you’re willing to bring them home to meet us.”
Tsuzuru copied him, watching your back and your little dance in the distance. He unconsciously felt the corners of his mouth rising up. “…Yeah. They are.” It was embarrassing to say it out loud in the silence of the night, but it was true.
“Meguru-nissan and Tadoru-nissan told me they would both try to come for dad’s birthday. You should bring them too.”
Tsuzuru snorted. His older brothers were on a whole new level. He ruffled Kaoru’s head. “Thanks. For everything.”
“You know you don’t have to thank us."
“Still-"
“Done!” You waved the tickets as you made your way back to the two brothers. “We are all set to go.” Kaoru nodded in understanding.
“Then I’ll go too. It was nice getting to know you, Y/N-san. We leave our big brother in your care. He’s a worrywart… so please don’t be afraid of taking his coffee and make him take a break.”
“Oh, that’s some hard quest right there.”
“I’m still here, you two are aware of this right?”
You both laughed at the spring member. “I will do my best to take care of your big brother, I promise." you turned to him.
Kaoru's eyes softened at your response. "Thanks." .
. .
“I think they liked you.” The playwright suddenly commented once inside the train, some time after you parted from Kaoru. You yawned and looked up smiling. “I got that feeling too, although I didn’t wanna jinx it. Were you expecting something different?”
He shrugged. “Not really. Just glad it ended well.” Tsuzuru took your hand, caressing it with his thumb.
“I liked them too, you nailed every single one of them.” You yawned again. “I’m also deadly tired though.”
“Welcome to my life.”
You giggled, allowing your head to rest on his shoulder. You could feel how happy and fortunate he had felt tonight, being able to enjoy some quality family time even though he used to complain here and there. Soon enough your breathing fell into a steady rhythm at the soothing sound of the rails. Along with the empty wagon, you closed your eyes enjoying Tsuzuru’s warmth.
It had been a nice day.

How to confess; for dummies
What did Reiji do to deserve this? Just a few minutes ago, he sat comfortably in his armchair, his favorite book "How to have sex; for dummies" in hand.
He didn't have to play mom for his brothers for that day, so he decided to not let the opportunity to relax go to waste.
He already had his hair curlers in his hair and wore his long nightgown and pink, plush crocs as he reached for his tea. Only to smell that something was off about it. It smelled weird.
Reiji scoffed loudly, "Herr Gott nochmal! Diese Burschen!*"
(*A very old-school German way to say: "God damnit! These guys!" I just found it funny kfkfkf & he speaks German fluently so-)
The black-haired gracefully waddled into the living room were all of his brothers, conveniently, played uno together.
"Fullhouse!", Ayato yelled as he layed down his cards, making the others moan in defeat. Reiji gasped at this, pulled his spatula out of his pants and walked over to the group.
"NO YELLING!!", Reiji hit Shu right across the face. Shu fainted. Or pretended to faint. No one knows.
Subaru slammed his hands on the table, making it break in the process before pulling out an uno reversed card. Everyone in the room gasped, everyone, except Reiji, getting all riled up. The albino refused to use Reiji's spatula, so he used Kanato instead. He smacked his older brother with his younger older brother in the face.
Ayato, Laito and Teddy cheered Subaru on, but Subaru carefully laid Kanato on the floor, saying, "No. No more. I already paid him back."
Reiji was full on crying by then, face red from being slapped with Kanato. The vampire wiped his tears away, "Which one of you touched my tea!?"
"Huh? What are you talking about Bitch-niisan?", Laito asked as he dealt the uno cards for the next round on the broken table. Everyone went back to their previous places, ready to win the privilege of the last pizza slice.
Reiji tried to scoff and ask again, but what came out was a whine as he stamped his foot and ran away.
"They don't even care!", he yelled in his pillow and then cried himself to sleep.
A few hours later, the black-haired found himself ontop of the roof of his school. He didn't want anyone to see how miserable he looked like. How defeated he was.
Ruki opened the door to the roof and took a few steps forward, making Reiji turn around slightly at the sound.
The half blood stared into Reiji's pink eyes for solid 4.44 seconds, and proceeded to hit the most gorgeous whip, ever whipped, "Pathetic.", he says. The pigeon tried his best to hold back his tears, but it was hard.
Suddenly, a figure appeared behind Ruki, kicking him in the balls, "You forgot to 'nae nae', you faker!", they screeched at him.
The pink-eyed watched the stranger punching the Mukami so hard he lost all of his clothes. They were just gone. Ruki stared at the (Y/HC)-haired, terrified. He quickly stood up and dusted off his naked body before leaving the rooftop, without speaking another word.
Reiji was left there, awestruck, as (Y/N) was approaching him with a skip in their step. They slowly raised their hand and petted him on the head.
A large smile spread across Reiji's face. There was still someone who cared for him!
(Y/N)'s expressionless stare turned slowly into a smile as well, that kind of smile only our yandere waifus can pull off. "I was the one who messed with your tea.", they admitted, turning Reiji into the shocked pikachu meme.
(Y/N) ignored his face as they continued, "I openly stalked you for a while. I know everything about you. What you are. Where you live...", their gaze drifted to Reiji's crotch. Reiji took in a sharp breath, "...what color your underwear is. Hm? What were you thinking? Ah, yes I know that too."
They pinched the vampire's cheek, "Anyways, let's marry and drink your love poisoned tea together."
You could see sparks and smoke coming from the black-haired's head, shocked from that proposal, while (Y/N) smiled at him expectantly. Suddenly, Reiji's legs gave in under him and he fell from the roof.
Now with torn clothes and scratches all over his skin, he ran away.
In the end, he found a boar and meerkat in a pretty cool forest where he lived until...he woke up from his dream.
He quickly sat up, his skin covered in sweat and his breath heavy.
"Good morning, bby boi~"
Reiji slowly turned his head to the side where (Y/N) laid, smiling at him like they did when they first met.
Wtf did I just write

Japanese vs. English Todoroki - A 302 Comparison
After chapter 301 gave us a bit of Touya’s backstory, this chapter continues giving us some flashbacks as well as the conversation between the Todofam in the present time with plenty of questionable lines! Just like with 301, we’ll take a look at every line from this chapter so this is another lengthy post...
Tumblr media Tumblr media
「今後は焦凍を他の子らと一切近付けさせないことにする。」
「今後 ; kongo 」-> from now on; hereafter
「は ; wa 」-> topic marker particle
「焦凍 ; shouto 」-> Shouto
「を ; o 」-> direct object marker
「他 ; hoka 」-> other
「の ; no 」-> possessive particle; similar to an apostrophe
「子ら ; kora 」-> children
「と ; to 」-> with
「一切 ; issai 」-> absolutely not; without exception
「近付けさせない ; chikadzukesasenai 」-> won’t let someone near someone else
「ことにする ; koto ni suru 」-> to decide on
= “I’ve decided that from now on, I will absolutely not let Shouto near the other kids.”
The official translation says that “we” are keeping the kids away from Shouto. While the Japanese line doesn’t include the pronoun for “I” it makes a lot more sense to go with that since Rei didn’t exactly have much of a say in anything, so whether or not she agreed to this isn’t even important. The point is, Endeavor made this decision.
This was most likely right after Touya tried to attack little Shouto so a direct continuation of the last flashback from chapter 301.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
「俺は仕事でずっと面倒を見るわけにはいかんその為の使用人を雇った。おまえも燈矢から目を離すな。」
「俺 ; ore 」-> I
「は ; wa 」-> topic marker particle
「仕事で ; shigoto 」-> attending work
「ずっと ; zutto 」-> continuously; straight
「面倒を見る ; mendou o miru 」-> to look after someone
「わけにはいかん ; wake niwa ikan 」-> cannot afford to
「その ; sono 」-> that
「為 ; tame 」-> sake; purpose
「の ; no 」-> possessive particle; similar to an apostrophe
「使用人 ; shiyounin 」-> servant; employee
「を ; o 」-> direct object marker
「雇った ; yatotta 」-> hired
「おまえ ; omae 」-> you
「も ; mo 」-> also; too
「燈矢 ; touya 」-> Touya
「から ; kara 」-> from
「目を離すな ; me o hanasuna 」-> don’t take one’s eyes off
= “I am attending work. I can’t afford to continuously look after him, for that sake I hired a servant. Don’t you take your eyes off Touya, either.”
The na at the end of me o hanasuna is a negative command to say “don’t do” I’m not sure how exactly Rei is supposed to not take her eyes off Shouto and Touya when they are kept apart from each other, but what do we expect anyway? Also, keep in mind that Touya is 8 years older than Shouto and has been training on his own for around 4 years at this point without his parents being able to stop him. Of course, Endeavor is not going to be the Number One Hero if he can’t even stop his own child from doing whatever he wants. How are two adults not able to handle one tiny child??
「。。。あの子はあなたに見てほしいんだよ。」
「あの ; ano 」-> that
「子 ; ko 」-> child
「は ; wa 」-> topic marker particle
「あなた ; anata 」-> you
「に ; ni 」-> by; from
「見て ; mite 」-> to look
「ほしい ; hoshii 」-> to want
「んだ ; nda 」-> explanatory particle
「よ ; yo 」-> emphasis particle
= “...That child wants you to look at him.”
The “that’s all” in the official translation is a good way to capture the nuance of nda yo.
「。。。俺はヒーローの世界しか。。。見せられないよ。」
「俺 ; ore 」-> I
「は ; wa 」-> topic marker particle
「ヒーロー ; hiro 」-> hero
「の ; no 」-> possessive particle; similar to an apostrophe
「世界 ; sekai 」-> world
「しか ; shika 」-> only
「見せられない ; miserarenai 」-> to see (potential negative) *shika requires the verb to be in the negative form
「よ ; yo 」-> emphasis particle
= “I can only show him the hero world.”
Shika is usually used in a negative context, so an alternative translation would be “I can’t show him anything but the hero world.”
Anyway, I absolutely love (sarcasm) when people try to claim that Endeavor was a loving family man who just didn’t know how to express his love even though it’s so obvious that he couldn’t be bothered to try and be an actual father. Saying that he can only show him the hero world is just a lazy excuse, similar to him telling Touya that he’s ignoring him “for his own good” - none of those are in any way helpful or something that a child could understand. Instead, it only signals that Endeavor doesn’t care. No one is born a perfect parent nor is anyone expected to be one, but a good parent would try to do a good job and not neglect their child because they are incapable of being a parent. It’s also like he pretends that only the hero Endeavor exists and that he isn’t anyone outside of that. He’s a hero and nothing else (unfortunately, he isn’t really a hero, either, though). The problem with separating the hero from the person behind the hero is taking away the responsibility and sort of using the hero persona as a shield. Instead of recognizing that he failed as a parent, he is acting as though he doesn’t exist outside of his hero job and thus doesn’t have any responsibilities outside of work. That is how he also ends up blaming Rei for everything that happens rather than acknowledging that this is all his fault.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
「ヒーロー? 逃げてるだけじゃないの。。。」
「ヒーロー ; hiro 」-> hero
「逃げてる ; nigeteru 」-> running away; escaping
「だけ ; dake 」-> only
「じゃない ; janai 」-> aren’t
「の ; no 」-> explanatory question marker
= “Hero? Aren’t you just running away…?”
This is a fantastic line and it’s nice to see her call him out, however, it also just makes no sense when later on in this exact chapter, we see Rei - in the present time - now being a lot nicer to him and supporting him instead of calling him out for being at fault for what happened to Touya.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
「燈矢兄遊ぼー!!」
「燈矢兄 ; touya nii 」-> Touya-Nii
「遊ぼー ; asobo- 」-> let’s play
= “Touya-Nii, let’s play-!!”
「おお」
「おお ; oo 」-> Oh
= “Oh.”
Something I want to point out about this panel is that we see two desks here. Do they have a computer room? Do Touya and Natsuo share a room? While there are plenty of books on Touya’s desk, the one next to him has a couple of action figures on it. Though it’s hard to determine who those action figures are supposed to be, it would be absolutely hilarious if they just had a bunch of All Might figurines that they placed around the house to piss off Endeavor.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
「焦凍見るな。兄さん(アレ)らはおまえとは違う世界の人間だ。」
「焦凍 ; shouto 」-> Shouto
「見るな ; miruna 」-> don’t look
「兄さんら ; niisanra 」-> older brothers
「アレ ; are 」-> that person
「は ; wa 」-> topic marker particle
「おまえ ; omae 」-> you
「とは ; to wa」-> topic marker with added emphasis to the topic
「違う ; chigau 」-> different
「世界 ; sekai 」-> world
「の ; no 」-> possessive particle; similar to an apostrophe
「人間 ; ningen 」-> human
「だ ; da 」-> be
= “Don’t look, Shouto! Your brothers (they) are people of a different world.”
Here, we have a sentence where the Furigana (= what the character says) read as are and don’t match with the Kanji (= what the character actually means), which read niisan.The ra at the end of niisanra is a pluralizer, just like tachi (ra is more informal). These pluralizers can be translated as something like “group” to say something like “the group of which your older brother is a part of.” It’s interesting that he says this, though, since the word kyoudai (=siblings) exists, which would better include all of Shouto’s siblings. Adding ra to the word Niisan (=older brother) rather than using a more neutral term like kyoudai then sort of adds emphasis to the older brother. This would be a great moment to joke that this is where Touya got his sexism from since Endeavor can’t even be bothered to mention that Shouto also has a sister here. But, I think this “group of which your older brother is a part of” refers to Touya specifically for a different reason. Natsuo himself has mentioned that Endeavor never even acknowledged him and instead he was tossed aside right away. And while Fuyumi is the one shown to be closest with Endeavor in the present time, that's only because Endeavor relies on her since she more or less replaced Rei in her mother role. But back then, she was probably just as ignored as Natsuo. That makes it feel like even here when saying “your siblings are in a different world” he is referring to Touya being a failure and thus not being part of the hero world, while not even acknowledging Natsuo’s or Fuyumi’s existence at all.
「いっかいだけでいいから燈矢兄たちと遊ばせて。」
「いっかい ; ikkai 」-> one time; one round; one game
「だけで ; dake de 」-> just
「いいから ; ii kara 」-> listen up
「燈矢兄たち ; touya nii tachi 」-> Touya-Nii and the others
「と ; to 」-> with
「遊ばせて ; asobasete 」-> let (someone) play (command)
= “Listen, let me play with Touya-Nii and the others, just one time!”
Ii kara is an expression used at the start of a command sentence for emphasis.
As mentioned before, tachi is a pluralizer and it’s similar to saying “Touya-Nii and the others” which is important for two reasons. One, this indicates that there were no further incidents where Touya tried to attack Shouto, since the latter doesn’t show any fear or resentment towards Touya, probably not knowing about the incident at all. And two, it really feels like Shouto is looking up to big bro Touya here. The oldest child - the head of the kids, if you will - and all Shouto wants is to hang out with this awesome brother of his. It’s not clear whether he knows that Touya used to be trained too or not, but either way, Shouto emphasizes Touya here and I’m glad the official translation included it like this, too!
「ダメだ出力訓練だ。」
「ダメ ; dame 」-> no good
「だ ; da 」-> be
「出力 ; schutsuryoku 」-> output
「訓練 ; kunren 」-> training
「だ ; da 」-> be
= “It’s no good. It’s output training.”
As mentioned later on in the chapter, Endeavor only ever taught Touya how to increase his flames and not how to decrease them. So I assume that “output training” is just that - training Shouto to increase his flames.
I’ve seen some people claim that the panel we get of Touya is him looking at Shouto in some evil or jealous way, but it’s more realistic to assume he’s looking at Endeavor, especially when looking at the part that comes right after. ALSO, please look at Natsuo in that panel.
Tumblr media
He looks so worried as he’s realizing that he’s about to hit Touya-Nii in the face with the ball. You think Touya manipulated Natsuo? Actually, Natsuo physically abused Touya :/ (this is sarcasm). This is also the part where, in the anime, Touya just falls down and Natsuo and Fuyumi laugh at him. No wonder he ended up as a villain. Bullied by everyone in his family, the poor kid...
Tumblr media Tumblr media
「そりゃあ ; soryaa 」-> well; that is to say (interjection, form of それは)
「あの ; ano 」-> that
「時 ; toki 」-> time; occasion
「は ; wa 」-> topic marker particle
「俺 ; ore 」-> I
「が ; ga 」-> subject marker particle
「悪かった ; warukatta 」-> was at fault; was in the wrong; was to blame
「よ ; yo 」-> emphasis particle
「焦凍 ; shouto 」-> Shouto
「に ; ni 」-> for
「罪 ; tsumi 」-> fault; responsibility
「は ; wa 」-> topic marker particle
「なかった ; nakatta 」-> wasn’t
「もの ; mono 」-> sentence ending particle used to indicate reason/excuse/dissatisfaction
「でも ; demo 」-> but
「お父さん ; otousan 」-> dad
「も ; mo 」-> also; too
「悪かった ; warukatta 」-> was at fault; was in the wrong; was to blame
「んだ ; nda 」-> explanatory particle
「よ ; yo 」-> emphasis particle
「俺たち ; oretachi 」-> we
「は ; wa 」-> topic marker particle
「失敗作 ; shippaisaku 」-> failed creative work; flop
「だから ; dakara 」-> because
「相手にされない ; aite ni sarenai 」-> don’t associate with; take notice of (passive)
「すごい ; sugoi 」-> terrible
「よ ; yo 」-> emphasis particle
「な ; na 」-> sentence ending particle; used to seek confirmation
「要らない ; iranai 」-> not needed
「子 ; ko 」-> children
「を ; o 」-> direct object marker
「くって ; tsukutte 」-> making
「これ ; kore 」 - > this
「が ; ga 」-> subject marker particle
「現代 ; gendai 」-> modern era; nowadays
「ヒーロー ; hiro 」-> hero
「なんだ ; nanda 」-> explanatory particle
「ぜ ; ze 」-> emphasis particle
= “Well, that time I was to blame. Shouto wasn’t at fault. But dad was also to blame! We’re failed creative works, so we aren’t being associated with. Terrible, isn’t it… making children they don’t need. Is this the modern era hero?”
We know that Touya attacked Shouto when Shouto was a relatively fresh baby, but here Touya is 13, so this is roughly 5 years after that incident and yet Touya is still thinking about it and still feeling guilty about it, too. It’s also obvious that he never properly spoke with either one of his parents about this since a parent would then sit him down and help him work through these feelings of guilt. Then again, not his parents! Maybe he did tell them this before too and he didn’t get any reaction from it. It’s also sad how well he understands the whole situation and how much critical thinking he has (more than most of the fandom!), questioning how someone like Endeavor can be considered a hero when he isn’t even a decent person to his own family.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
「たまには姉ちゃんことで言ったら。。。?」
「たまに ; tamani 」-> occasionally; once in a while
「は ; wa 」-> topic marker particle
「姉ちゃん ; neechan 」-> big sister
「こと ; koto 」-> phrase nominalizer
「で ; de 」-> with; via
「言ったら ; ittara 」-> if you said/told
= “If you told big sister one in a while…?”
This one sounds a bit strange when just doing a direct translation since this is one of those cases where the rest of the sentence is omitted because this part is enough to understand what he’s trying to say.
The one compliment I always have to give Horikoshi is managing to write very believable sibling dynamics/interactions. Also, I can’t help but wonder whether they are sharing a room (which doesn’t really make sense considering they live in a large house) or if these two just like to have sleepovers (I prefer this theory).
「夏くんまで俺をたしなめるのか!?やめてくれ!夏くんしか理解できないから話してるのに!!わかるだろ家の女は皆だめだめなだ!」
「夏くん ; natsu kun」-> Natsu-Kun
「まで ; made 」-> even
「俺 ; ore 」-> I

= “Even you are chiding me, Natsuo-Kun!? Please stop! I’m talking to you because you are the only one who can understand me, Natsu-Kun!! You understand that the women in this family are entirely useless, right!”
The kure at the end of yametekure is used when asking a favor from someone, in this case, Touya is essentially asking Natsuo to please stop.
I know a lot of people said this is somehow manipulative and sexist?! About the sexist part: this is literally just a way for him to sum up that he’s talking about Fuyumi and Rei, which makes sense, considering he is not allowed to talk to Shouto, and obviously he can’t talk to Endeavor, either, which means the only remaining candidates he is able to talk to are Natsuo, Fuyumi, and Rei. Since he is talking to Natsuo, that only leaves Fuyumi and Rei (= the women in the family). It’s not that deep. It’s not like he said “they don’t understand because they are women” he just said “the women in this family are useless” which is an understandable feeling. While we don’t know exactly how his conversations with Fuyumi were like during this time, we know that Fuyumi is more on the neutral side in the present time and later on in this chapter, she even admits to having turned a blind eye in the past. And the next scene shows us why Touya thinks his mom is useless, too. He has legitimate reasons to view them as useless because neither of them acknowledged his feelings or listened to him properly. So no, he isn’t sexist he just uses this term instead of saying “Fuyumi and mom”.
And about the manipulative part - I’m not sure if some of you don’t have siblings? You are allowed to vent to your siblings. Also, let’s not forget that Touya is a drama queen, so him being a little dramatic here is just him being himself. More importantly, though, Natsuo is the only one that listens to him, so of course, he’s worried when the one person that he feels understood by tells him to talk to someone who doesn’t understand him. Not to mention the fact that Touya didn’t exactly grow up in an environment that taught him how to properly handle his feelings, which is the core problem in his life, so if he doesn’t perfectly articulate his feelings then remember that his parents never taught him any better.

Obviously, he has adapted this mindset from Endeavor. Thinking that heroes live in their own world and are somehow different - better - than anyone else. Being a hero in the bnha universe isn’t about anything heroic in most cases, but rather it’s about status and being a superior person. Sure, not every hero is as cruel to people as Endeavor, but even the other heroes believe that some people are worthier than others. In a way, they really are in a different world because they have the power to decide who to save and who isn’t worth saving, even though none of them are able to recognize this. To some people, though, like Endeavor or Touya, these different worlds are very clearly there.

Once again, the official translation makes him talk in the weirdest way. We get it, he speaks informally. But no one talks like that. Please stop. Also, while the official translation only called this a “self-help book” keihatsu is defined as the act of teaching and leading others by teaching knowledge and awareness and is based on a saying from the Analects of Confucius about teaching only those who have the desire to learn and struggle to express themselves with words. There’s another word for enlightenment in Japanese, keimou, which is defined as being about teaching people the answer, whereas keihatsu is about leading people to think about the answer themselves.
Again, in a way, Rei did lead him to think about what his answer to “find out who you want to become” is so it’s somewhat fitting since she didn’t explicitly tell him who to become.
I’m sure Rei hasn’t actually read any enlightenment books, but I’m sure Touya has (that and parental books, probably). Smart boy!

Remember how in chapter 301 I said that the first flashback seemed more like a business transaction? Well, well, well. Of course, just because Touya says that Rei was sold doesn’t mean that she was actually sold, but I do think that she was sold in the sense that Endeavor is providing for her family, which would also explain why they are never seen visiting Rei (aside from the fact that this story isn’t about her and they are just not important) since they are financially depending on Endeavor and thus don’t want to get into any sort of fights with him that would possibly result in him not providing for them anymore.
Again, it’s sad that a 13-year-old is already aware of these circumstances.

Honestly, he looks so hurt there. Some people like to claim that he was too harsh or whatever, but he basically just poured his heart out to her and told her that she can’t understand his pain - which is true - and it’s so sad to think about how long he must have had this thought already at that point. Again, he is thirteen. That’s a tough age for most people as it is, and when your own family doesn’t listen to you or understand you that makes it even worse.
Another thing to note is the sweat drops on his face. As we learn on the next page, when his emotions increase, so does his fire, so it’s likely that by yelling at his mom and getting angry, his body temperature was rising, thus making him sweat. This also matches with the line that comes right after:
「火が。。。。消えないんだよ」

「燈矢」
「燈矢 ; touya 」-> Touya
= “Touya.”
This conversation is similar to two other conversations we’ve seen so far: First, Rei gives him the exact same “advice” that Endeavor has given Touya before: “Make some friends. There are more worlds than just the hero world!” and then, Rei also tells Touya that there isn’t just Endeavor, similar to how she told Shouto “You aren’t bound by his blood.” So why did these two things not work on Touya?
The first piece of advice doesn’t work because it pretty much ignores Touya’s feelings, problems, and goals. He wants to be a hero, but his father won’t let him. Similar to how his own father couldn’t just give up on his dream of being a Number One Hero, thus starting a family and his little eugenics project, Touya can’t just give up on his dream of becoming a hero. To him, it’s not even necessarily about being a hero - it’s about proving himself to his father, to have his father say “I’m glad you were born” instead of just ignoring him and only focusing on his new masterpiece, Shouto.
The second advice worked on Shouto, so why didn’t it work on Touya? Well, the two of them are the same, but they are also opposites. Shouto has only ever had negative feelings towards Endeavor since he had to witness him hit his mom and terrify his siblings. Shouto always wanted to be a hero, but he didn’t want to become like Endeavor. Shouto said that he wants to make people feel at ease, and he knows that Endeavor doesn’t make his own family feel that way, so clearly becoming like him would mean not becoming the kind of hero Shouto wants to be. So by Rei telling him that he isn’t bound by Endeavor’s blood, she’s reassuring him that he can be independent from Endeavor and doesn’t have to be like him.
So how is Touya different? Touya always wanted to be a hero, but more importantly, he wanted to be good enough in his father’s eyes because unlike Shouto, he saw the “good” days of his family. While Endeavor never unconditionally loved him like a parent should, to a kid love is love and all that matters is getting their parents’ attention. Touya had that, but then suddenly was only met with excuses of “We can’t train anymore for your own good!” which doesn’t really help a child understand why they are now being ignored. While Shouto didn’t want to become Endeavor nor did he want to be around him, all Touya ever wanted was for his father to be proud of him and view him as worthy. So of course telling him there are more worlds than just Endeavor couldn’t possibly be helpful, because how can you expect a child to just not crave their parent’s love anymore?

「早生まれの小さな身体に漸く訪れ始めた二次性徴」

「に ; ni 」-> at
「漸く ; youyaku 」-> finally; at last
「訪れ始めた ; otozurehajimeta 」-> begin to appear
「二次 ; niji 」-> secondary
「性徴 ; seichou 」-> sexual characteristics
= “Secondary sexual characteristics finally begin to appear in the small body of someone born early in the year.”
Of course, we are all surprised that “Touya was always small because he came out of the oven a little early” isn’t a literal translation.
Hayaumare is a term that describes someone born between January 1 and April 1, since the school year in Japan starts in April and kids start going to school at age 6 and so kids born between January and April will be the youngest in their class, sometimes almost a year younger than their oldest classmates. Shouto is also a hayaumare since he is also born in January, thus one of the youngest in class 1-A. So while this doesn’t mean that he was born prematurely, he would just seem smaller in comparison to his classmates since there is still so much development happening during that time. Obviously, that doesn’t explain why he was so much shorter than Natsuo. While it’s true that Natsuo is the kid that most resembles Endeavor in appearance, Rei is also pretty tall and I believe even now taller than Dabi. I think that overall, this is more to amplify that Touya has a weak body.
Also, this is clearly a great moment for him to develop secondary sexual characteristics, which include things like body hair, only for him to burn them all off right then and there. This also means that they wouldn’t have recognized Dabi by his voice, since it wouldn’t have gotten deeper yet before he left the family.

「ん ; n 」-> used for emphasis/ to show surprise
「だろう ; darou 」-> I wonder

Dechau consists of deru (to come out) and chau, which is used here to emphasize his emotions. The n after dechau is an explanatory particle and can also show surprise (basically asking for an explanation for this new discovery of him crying as a result of becoming excited).
Anyway, this is a super important new detail we now know about Dabi. In this post I talked about Dabi currently experiencing emotional numbness (in response to him telling Shouto that he doesn’t feel anything anymore), a coping mechanism that can occur after traumatic events. It doesn’t mean the person experiencing this doesn’t actually have any emotions anymore, but those feelings get repressed because sometimes it’s easier for your brain to pretend those feelings aren’t there rather than letting you become overwhelmed with extremely strong emotions. However, individuals experiencing emotional numbness might still show emotions like anger in situations where they might feel powerless or threatened.
While I still do believe that this does apply to Dabi, this chapter is proof that he still feels very strong emotions since strong emotions make his fire stronger. A little later in this chapter, we also find out that Touya was only shown how to increase his flames and not how to decrease them (imagine Endeavor teaching you how to drive lol, no thank you!) so it also seems like even now, he doesn’t have full control over his flames - or rather their intensity - since otherwise, he could have just used a weaker flame up until now instead of always using blue flames no matter what. So his flames are still controlled by his emotions, therefore showing that he still has very strong emotions now.
In other words, while he is suppressing his emotions and not fully experiencing them the same way he used to, those feelings are still very much there even if it doesn’t feel that way to him.
I think something very interesting to see would be if at some point (should someone ever properly decide to save him) someone would get through to him and we would just see his blue flames slowly turning red as he, for the first time, truly calms down...

Obviously, this is very different from the official translation’s “Dammit! Again?!” but I think the criticism only stems from people who think that swearing is some sort of terrible taboo way of speaking. No, he doesn’t swear in Japanese but there are so few swear words in Japanese and usually, the way you would swear is by speaking informally. Anyway, it matches his expression and you can see that he’s yelling so it’s one of those changes that aren’t that dramatic, and anyone that cries over this better also address the heavier changes in regards to Dabi and the rest of the villains. Also, as I’ve said before: the changes in Dabi’s speech are far more severe and impact how people view him as a person since the entire content is sometimes changed for the worse. He is also someone who is clearly smart and knows how to use language, so making him speak in weird ways like the official translation does definitely changes how he is perceived. Endeavor, on the other hand, is not perceived differently by the minor changes made to his speech, which don’t even affect the content. For example, with this line, he is literally yelling at his child. Saying “dammit” isn’t the reason I view him as a terrible father since him neglecting and abusing his children for over ten years at this point is enough proof for that already. Whether he swears or not doesn’t change that.

= “Whether or not I am able to reach Shouto after all…! I might also not lose to All Might, will I! Surely, you cannot help but grow to notice me too, dad...! And you will think you’re glad you made me!”
Later on, we get Endeavor and Rei both expressing that they didn’t know what to say to Touya around this time. When your child says “I will do this thing that’s damaging me to prove my worth to you and have you think it’s good that I exist!” maybe just say that you’re already glad they exist and that they’re already good enough! I’m sure parenting is hard, but affirming your child’s worth should not be one of the difficult parts of parenting.
Also, I would like to point out that the fandom has talked a lot about Touya’s jealousy towards Shouto, but I don’t fully see it. First of all, Touya is fully aware of why he and his siblings exist and therefore also knows why Endeavor is training Shouto. This doesn’t mean that Touya isn’t jealous at all, but he also doesn’t really dwell on those feelings. He sees Shouto as his competition, but not even in a negative way. If Endeavor had allowed it, Touya probably would have trained with Shouto and the two of them could have motivated each other to reach their full potential. The only reason Touya had any amount of jealousy in him was that Shouto was his replacement and as long as Shouto was around and better than Touya, it meant that Endeavor wouldn’t pay any attention to Touya. The whole “Whether or not I am able to reach Shouto” phrase shows that he recognizes that Shouto is stronger than him at the moment, but again, it comes from a place of trying to show Endeavor “Look, I can do what your masterpiece can do, too!” because he knows Endeavor is currently only impressed by Shouto. Shouto sets the bar and Touya is trying to make his father see that he can reach that bar too (probably). If Endeavor had changed his mind and let Touya and Shouto train together, then Touya might not have had any ill feelings towards Shouto, so when talking about this jealousy, please keep in mind that all roads lead back to Endeavor here and taking him out of the equation would make for a good bond between the two brothers.

Nanka doesn’t really have an actual translation here, but the “stupid” from the official translation conveys that nuance of belittling something pretty well.

The to could be interpreted in different ways since it can also mean “and” but here it makes more sense to go for what the official translation did, which is assuming that it’s the quotation marker which would normally be followed by omou (= to think).

「わからなかった ; wakaranakatta 」-> didn’t know

The official translation went for the more natural way of saying this, which is “I had no idea what to say to him.”

「私もそうだった。」

「だった ; datta 」-> was

Something that bothers me a lot about this exchange is that they both claim they didn’t know what to say to Touya, which is a weird conclusion as to where things went wrong. First of all, Touya is in all honesty probably smarter than both his parents combined and despite the translation constantly trying to make him sound like he’s speaking his own language, he has always been someone well-spoken in the sense that he chooses his words carefully as seen by how he knew exactly what to say to Aizawa in the summer camp, how politely he spoke in his broadcast, etc. He knows how to word things in order to get specific reactions out of people and be perceived however he wants to be perceived by people. More importantly, though, he had made it very clear on multiple occasions growing up what his problems were. He was always clear about his needs - wanting to train with his dad, having his dad come to the mountain with him, etc. - yet here it sounds a little like he never voiced his feelings or was somehow unable to comprehend what his parents told him.
Second of all, saying they didn’t know what to say to him makes it feel more like the whole thing was just a one-time slip and not years and years of problems piling up until it all collapsed. They knew Touya wasn’t fine. They saw him try to attack Shouto, they knew that he continued training and didn’t stop, they knew he wanted Endeavor’s attention.
As mentioned earlier, their advice failed because neither of his parents could practice what they preached. Endeavor telling Touya to give up on his goal of surpassing All Might and becoming a hero failed because Endeavor himself couldn’t stop to the point he started a whole family in the hopes that one of his children could do what he wasn’t able to. Rei telling Touya that he looks like he’s suffering and that he should find out who he really wants to become failed because Touya was aware that Rei didn’t marry Endeavor out of her own will but for her parents’ sake. And the thing is, he told them. He told them both that this advice wasn’t good enough, and then they just gave up. One piece of advice was what they deemed trying hard enough and now they boil it down to “I didn’t know what to say to him” even though the real reason Touya “died” was because they gave up on him from the start.

I know we all made fun of the “that’s just deserts'' line in the official translation, but that is, in fact, one of the actual dictionary definitions of jigoujitoku. And to be fair, Touya was a smart kid. Maybe he just knows all these strange expressions no one ever uses. Maybe the official translation is onto something here… but to the rest of us, who never heard anyone say this before, it just sounds weird. Maybe we’re just all too stupid for Dabi…

Again, the kure in oshiete kurenakatta is used when saying that something was done for the speaker.
When speaking to yourself, naa at the end of the sentence can be used when reflecting on the past, as Dabi does here, which makes it sound like he wasn’t necessarily aware of this before or at least wasn’t aware of it back then. I know there were some people when the spoilers came out that claimed that Touya had obviously faked his death on purpose, but aside from nothing pointing to that as it is, this part makes it especially obvious that he didn’t do it on purpose. Touya was clearly surprised that his fire grew so strong there and that he was unable to stop it. And the naa here indicates that if he had been aware back then that he never learned how to properly control his flames, then he might have been able to prevent this incident from happening.

THIS would have to be about the saddest sentences in this chapter and I haven’t really seen a lot of people mention this. This is Dabi reflecting on the day where his life completely changed and although he just had quite a success by revealing his identity and broadcasting the truth about his family to the whole country, he’s looking back on the day he almost died and thinks “if only I had given everything up on that day.” If you didn’t think he was suicidal before, here is your proof. Yes, he’s freer now in the sense that Endeavor can’t tell him what to do anymore (not like that worked before anyway), but this is still not the life little Touya had wanted. He wanted to be a hero and someone his father could be proud of, and yet here he is as a villain whose sole purpose is to kill Endeavor. So not only is he still not free from his life being dictated by Endeavor, but he also turned himself into someone he never wanted to be. While revealing his true identity to the country was somewhat of a victory for him, it doesn’t change that he won’t ever get back all the years Endeavor took from him. He might be fighting, but deep down he’d rather just be dead.

As mentioned before, verb + shimau can mean that an action was done completely, but it can also mean that something was done regrettably. This is one of those cases, where both meanings can apply. Endeavor completely killed Touya, thus Dabi was born, but this is also regrettable since Touya shouldn’t have died. It’s just weird to admit that you're responsible (and cry about it in front of your victims) and then also blame the victim for how you treated your other victim.

Okay, first things first. Rei’s line created a lot of confusion since it contradicts what Fuyumi says in chapter 250, where she mentions that Touya died shortly after Rei was hospitalized. This tweet from the official bnha twitter account states that the “Touya disappeared and…” part in Rei’s line in this chapter was a mistake and will be erased in the volume release, so I didn’t include that part in here. I do think that this scene overall makes no sense, then, though, since the idea here is that Touya’s “death” made Endeavor worse, made Endeavor become abusive, made Rei pour the boiling hot water on Shouto, made Endeavor put Rei into a mental hospital. But that’s not true.
Endeavor saying that he started to obsess over Shouto after Touya died is also weird, since we all know that he was already obsessed with him before and didn’t pay attention to any of the other children, which is exactly what led to Touya dying when Endeavor couldn’t even be bothered to go to the mountain with him one time.

「してこなかった ; shite konakatta 」-> continued to do
= “While I knew it was broken... I was scared and unable to step in… I only continued to… fix things on the surface.”
Tsukurou has several meanings like “to fix” and “to keep up appearances” so that’s probably why the official translation included both meanings here. The Japanese also only says “scared” and not “too scared” like the official English translation, though this is most likely just done to make it sound more natural. Another difference is that in the official translation, Fuyumi says “All I could do” whereas in Japanese she said that she “only continued to” fix things on the surface. The panel also shows a small flashback of Endeavor dragging Touya away and Rei trying to stop him, while Fuyumi is standing in the background and slightly turned away. She’s shown in the sailor uniform that is typically worn by middle school students, so she would be around 12 years old, which was around the time Touya “died” - obviously at that age there wasn’t really anything she could have done against Endeavor so the translation isn’t entirely incorrect, however, judging by Touya telling Natsuo that he can’t talk to Fuyumi because she doesn’t understand, it seems like she probably always tried to remain impartial instead of siding with her older brother. While she couldn’t have stopped Endeavor, she could have at least been there for Touya as emotional support - which, might I add, is her whole purpose for existing - so that’s why saying that she “continued to” only fix things on the surface is a more accurate line.

= “You started all of this situation and you are the cause - but if I had hit you hard and could have let you face Touya-Nii, then Dabi wouldn’t have been born and he might have been able to treat Shouto to mori soba.”
The yarete that appears twice in this sentence is the potential form of yaru, which is used when something is given/done for someone from someone with higher status to someone with lower status. In combination with the causative form (making someone do something) as is the case with mukaiawasete, it changes the nuance from simply making someone do something to allow someone to do something.
Concerning this line, there was a huge difference between the fan translation that I read and the official translation. While the official translation matches with the Japanese line by having Natsuo say that he should have punched Endeavor (can we appreciate how funny that would have been, but also sad if TWO of your children have to stand up to you because you mistreat another family member), the fan translation that I first read had Natsuo say that he should have punched and faced Touya, which is a very different message. Fortunately, that doesn’t make sense and isn’t the actual line, though.
More importantly, mori soba??? I thought Shouto’s favorite kind of soba was zaru soba (it’s basically the same, but zaru soba has nori seaweed on top)…

= “The responsibility isn’t only yours. We are all responsible for this time’s circumstances. Even if your heart is breaking, we will make you stand up. You have no choice but to fight Dabi.”
This is one of those lines that really make you wonder whether the character is supposed to be like that or if the author just doesn’t understand what he’s writing. It’s questionable - to say the least - to say they are all responsible this time. While I continue to wonder how the non-heroes of the family are supposed to do anything here, why would a mother expect her children to be part of this? They are civilians and she expects them to somehow take care of saving their villain brother? Sorry, but she wasn’t even able to stop Touya from going outside to train, and now she expects her children to do better than her? No.
There’s also something very odd about her referring to him as Dabi. I understand that this is done to say that they intend on fighting Dabi and not Touya, and it’s true that Touya is in a way dead and Dabi was born instead. However, the problem with this idea of fighting “Dabi” is that it suggests that Dabi could somehow be killed while Touya survives when that is not at all how helping somehow who has been traumatized works. You can’t just reset him and somehow get him back to the state he was in prior to the traumatic experience (especially when the traumatic experience was basically his whole life). They won’t be able to just kill Dabi and have him go back to who he used to be because he has never been allowed to just be himself. Dabi is now a part of him. And not just that, but Dabi is the result of the trauma and thus functions as Touya’s surviving mechanism. This doesn’t mean that Dabi can’t be redeemed or be saved, it’s just that this idea of fighting Dabi and removing Dabi from Touya is bound to end in failure because that’s an impossible task and, again, the wrong approach to this.
Why exactly is a mother asking her and her children’s abuser to fight her child? Them going against Touya is what caused Dabi’s existence in the first place, which is what the conversation is more or less about, and yet she continues to think that fighting him is the right option here? A lot of people have suggested that this is done to cause a problem later down the line with Hawks and Best Jeanist listening in on the conversation and probably assuming the family doesn’t intend on saving Dabi in any way. But this is still a somewhat weak argument for two reasons: One, Hawks and Best Jeanist talk with the Todofam in chapter 303 and tell them that they will help to fight Dabi, so them teaming up means they should discuss this a little more and with that, there shouldn’t be any problems in terms of communication; and two, anything that happens in a story still has to be believable. If there is an issue or conflict it’s absolutely vital to convince the readers that this couldn’t somehow be prevented or easily resolved. But Rei isn’t vague here. She literally talks about Endeavor having to fight Dabi. So even if this is just in order for the other characters to misunderstand her, I do find it odd for a mother to suggest that her abusive husband should fight their child instead of finally acting like a parent and saving this child.
Until we know what exactly the family is going to do, we can’t determine whether this is just Horikoshi’s writing or if he intentionally made Rei like this, but for now, this just seems like a really weird thing to say. And even Endeavor can see this as shown in the next line:
「おまえ。。。本当に。。。冷か。。。?」
「おまえ ; omae 」-> you
「本当に ; hontou ni 」-> really
「冷 ; rei 」-> Rei
「か ; ka 」-> question marker particle

Originally, I thought this was about Touya since these chapters are about his backstory. But then someone asked me whether this was actually about Shouto and someone else also pointed out that the next line is about Shouto, so it makes more sense that this is about him. And this is what I mean when I say that this writing is contradictory. How do they all reflect on the past, recognize that they didn’t understand Touya and neglected him and didn’t know how to be parents to him, but then say that Shouto is the one that suffered more than the rest of them? Obviously, it’s not a competition, and comparing who has it the worst is not helpful at all, but Dabi is literally alone right now and has been alone his whole life, while Shouto at least has his family and emotional support right now. Do they not hear what they are saying? How are they so dumb? Shouto also literally never resented you or stopped calling you mom, so maybe shift your focus to Touya? No wonder he left.

= “He made friends at U.A. and saved us. Shouto has really become our hero.”
Here we have another case of Kanji and Furigana being different. While the Kanji (what the character means) says “Todoroki household” the Furigana (what the character says) simply says “One’s family” and to be honest, I’m not entirely sure why there is a difference here. Like yes, obviously, by family she’s referring to the Todoroki family.
Anyway, this is probably the worst sentence in this entire chapter. There is nothing inherently bad about saying that Shouto is a good person and that he helped his family. However, he is a literal child. A minor. And a victim in this, just like his siblings - just like Touya. None of the kids are responsible for their family’s well-being or for correcting their parents’ mistakes, and yet here we are. Shouto shouldn’t have to be the family’s hero and feel the need to save his brother just because both his parents failed to be parents. Don’t get me wrong, I agree that Endeavor wouldn’t possibly get through to Dabi now (although realistically, Natsuo is the only one that could really get through to him) so it makes sense to get Shouto involved. But everyone praising him just further shows their inability to recognize that this exact mindset is what caused the problems in the first place. This whole idea of someone - specifically Shouto - being the one in the family who is able to be a great hero is what was part of Touya’s mental downfall. It’s also a harmful statement to make in general, as it pushes the “good victim, bad victim” mentality, where Shouto is seen as the good victim for being able to stay on a good path, live his life in a normal way and still speak with his parents, whereas Touya ended up turning himself into a villain and essentially throwing his whole life away in order to ruin Endeavor’s life, too. Aside from the fact that this mentality is problematic in itself by making it seem like there’s a right and wrong way to be a victim and that people who end up not being able to just move on from their trauma are somehow worthless and don’t deserve to get help, this sentence also shows the problem the family has: not learning from the past. Despite all the self-reflection we’re shown in this chapter with each family member expressing what they did wrong, they then continue to not change at all and just continue to demonize Touya. They are taking responsibility and admitting that they were wrong, just ignoring the problems and not saying the right things to him, but by claiming that Shouto is the hero of the family they continue to neglect why Touya ended up the way he did. Shouto was supported in reaching his goals. Obviously, Endeavor wanted Shouto to become a hero, but Shouto also always wanted to be a hero on his own accord. His mom reassured him that he could be whatever hero he wanted to be and not just be the next Endeavor. He was always supported both in his journey of becoming a hero and also emotionally through his family and his friends. That isn’t to say that he is somehow less of a victim, but it’s important to acknowledge that the reason he ended up on the “good path” was that he had people that reminded him that he wasn’t Endeavor and that he was free to be his own person. He was never held back from reaching his goals.
Touya, on the other hand, received the exact opposite treatment. He was kept from pursuing his goal and was only met with cheap excuses as to why he shouldn’t train, yet none of those arguments ever worked on him and so he continued to train on his own for almost ten years. Despite both his parents knowing about this, they never did more than just say “stop training” and thus actively ignored his problems. Even when he lashed out to Rei, she just watched as he walked away. It’s not surprising he calls her and Fuyumi useless when both of them sided with Endeavor instead of acknowledging his pain. Of course, he was going to end up on a “bad path” when he didn’t have a proper support system.
So saying that Shouto is the family’s hero might sound like an innocent compliment at first glance, but it only further shows how little the family understands why Touya has become Dabi, which becomes a bigger problem when they want to save him, something they won’t be able to do as long as they continue to fail to really see him and his pain.

Anyway, that concludes the comparison for chapter 302, which took a while to make because, to be honest, this is a very odd chapter. I know people continue to view this as the Todofam intending on saving Dabi, but the problem is simply that the present time scenes don’t really make sense in context with the flashbacks. Endeavor crying for three chapters straight somehow symbolizes that he regrets the past and has changed when in reality, none of them fully understand where everything went wrong and are trying to fix the problem incorrectly. It feels a bit as though they are downplaying what happened and how much Endeavor and Rei are responsible for Dabi’s existence by simply boiling it down to them not knowing what to say to Touya and by having both Fuyumi and Natsuo say they are also responsible without their parents telling them that they were children and thus could not possibly be held responsible the same way.
Personally, I’m glad that the focus seems to be shifting away from this storyline for now because it was really hard to read this chapter with all these weird lines. While I do continue to hope that Dabi will be redeemed and saved by the end of the story, I also still think that Horikoshi isn’t writing this in a good way, considering the contradictions and the constant “good vs. bad victim” mentality that all these characters are constantly voicing paired with the really odd ways characters are acting at the moment (= Rei in chapter 303???). It’s odd they want Endeavor to be involved in this and even weirder that they (in chapter 303) accept Hawks and Best Jeanist wanting to be part of this too, when they all saw the broadcast and thus all saw that Hawks killed Twice, aka Dabi’s friend and someone on the same side as him, which makes it feel like they are either too dumb to realize or simply don’t care that there is a high chance that Hawks is just going to end up killing (or at least trying to) Dabi, too. It’s also odd that Rei is apologizing to both Hawks and Best Jeanist since Dabi hasn’t done anything to Best Jeanist so what’s up with that? Anyway, she better apologize to Dabi too...
Anyway, so right now, the translation differences aren’t so much a problem as the writing in itself is and for now, we will probably have to wait a while to see how this storyline will continue and how exactly they plan on taking care of Dabi.
Thanks for reading!

Asynchronous With You: Ch 6
ship: naruhina
rating: teen (quite possibly mature or explicit later)
tags: Modern Day AU, Foster Siblings, Family, Angst, Unrequited Love, Poor Communication, Missed Opportunities
summary: An awkward journey full of self-denial and missed moments between two foster siblings. Perhaps their love will find the right timing someday.
"I think everyone should know," she said.
They were walking the usual route to their high school, the train station coming up ahead. Naruto kept a protective though furtive gaze on Hinata as he walked behind her on the steps.
He swore she's never modified her skirt. It would be against the dress code she's forced to protect. So he has no idea why it feels like he's seeing more of her than usual.
"Know what?"
Usually he's already doing this, because he's worried about perverts. Even in grade school, he was worried. If it weren't for their teachers educating them on Stranger Danger, he probably would have had to do it himself.
He had to learn it the hard way before Kurenai-obasan took him in, but so did Neji apparently. That's why he's gotten good at being less obvious with his suspicion, and also why he can better tell apart intent based on their body language.
He used to perceive everything around him to be potentially malicious. He never realized the toll that had been taking on him until Neji taught him how to really see.
He stood close behind her on the platform as they waited.
"That we're fosters."
A burst of wind shot through the platform, ruffling overcoats and business suits and whipping pleated skirts and loose hair in a sudden frenzy.
The PA announced the train's arrival, and it wheezed to a stop soon after.
He observed Hinata as she flattened her skirt down and smoothed her bangs, but none of it registered in his brain.
It was simply auto-pilot for him to follow her onto the train, then using his larger frame to block the other passengers from nearing his little sister.
Right. His foster sister.
In all of their nine years together, they've never told anyone. It wasn't that it seemed weird, it just… never occurred to them?
But now it did seem pretty weird.
"Why, though? In a couple years, it's not going to matter anymore."
She turned her face against her shoulder to look at him, but he didn't know what she was thinking. It was the same schooled features she put on last night when visiting Neji, like there was a one-way mirror and only she could see through him.
Then she looked away.
"You're not going to introduce a girlfriend to Kurenai one of these days?"
"Hmm?" The suggestion bloomed in his mind and quickly withered. The idea wasn't… very appealing. Something about inviting judgment onto his life and stuff. He defends himself in every aspect but at home, and he'd rather keep coasting on the good thing he's got. "Dunno. Hadn't ever thought about it."
He certainly wasn't going to introduce any of the one's he's taken to bed when the apartment was empty. He's rarely done it with the same girl twice, mainly because he can't help but lose interest.
He blames it on sexual incompatibility.
"Well, I know I will."
He misses the melancholy hedging around her words, and latches onto the opportunity for an easy ribbing.
"You're gonna bring a girlfriend over?" he's happy she shoots him a look so that she can see his corny grin, otherwise he worried she might've mistaken him for serious.
He's nonplussed by the severity of her glare, but then she says "Maybe when you're not around," and he no longer knows what to think.
"Wait, what? Hinata?" He's craning left and right in hopes of catching a smirk or a giggle from her, but she's evasive. Has she? "Hinata, are you--?" And since third grade she said? "Also, what's that supposed to mean 'when I'm not around'? Huh? Hey, what's that supposed to mean 'when I'm not around'?? Hinata???"
"We're getting off topic--"
"Bullshit! I have questions!"
She ignored him.
"I vote to tell our friends that we're fosters. And I'd like to have it taken care of during Lunch. What's your vote?"
Is this what she sounds like during her Public Morals Committee meetings? Because it was doing something to him.
Oh, right. She wanted an honest answer.
But… "What do you get out of announcing this? I mean, aside from knowing how to introduce me in the future or whatever. Have you thought this through at all?"
What's the rest of the school going to say?
The guys who share their skin mags with him might get wary and reject him. The girls he's dumped might try to get to him through her. Teachers might give up on disciplining him, essentially offloading their responsibilities onto her as both Public Morals Committee and his sister. And he wasn't having any of that shit again.
All kinds of things could bite them in the ass one way or another.
She hasn't replied to him at all, and he thinks she's upset again, but he has to make his point.
"Hinata, the way things are now isn't broken, so what are you trying to fix?"
"It would help me."
"Huh? How? With what?" He waited, and she was silent. A drop of dread sank in his chest for her. "So something is wrong," He leaned in closer, causing her to shrink. He sighed. "Hinata, for someone who wants the world to know we're fosters, you sure don't seem willing to rely on me like a sibling."
"I don't favor Neji-niisan over you."
"Yeah, well, you don't have to," Tension clutched at their throats. "People always have more history with their blood. I can't really compete, y'know?"
He can't compete at all, actually.
Sometimes he thinks his only true brother is Sasuke, but he still wants to work at this. She just has to let him.
"I'm sorry. I just thought it would be less lonely if we could talk to each other normally again. And we only see each other at school these days, so…"
He envisioned her waving to him in the halls between periods, or her having a reason to cheer him on during a deadlift tournament. It would prevent people from making the wrong idea about them.
Damn, he felt stupid now.
"Fine!" He intoned with mock-annoyance. "If it'll make you happy."
She looked over her shoulder again, and what she found was his warm, supportive smile.
________________________
Hinata gathered her friends, Kiba, Shino, Ino and Sakura.
And he gathered his friends, Sasuke, Shikamaru, and Chouji.
Ino had tsked in distaste when she saw Sasuke, had gone as far as to drag Sakura away so that the others sat in-between them. He caught some sort of nickname from her lips, but wasn't sure what she had really said.
As Naruto stood before them alongside Hinata, his gaze fell on the skinny lad scribbling away at his sketchbook, and immediately his fight instinct was switched on.
"What's your monochromatic ass doing here??! Did anyone invite him?!" He jabbed a finger in Sai's direction.
The monotone, softboy, little creep didn't even look up.
"I'm making a record of these proceedings for posterity," he lifted the sketchpad and flipped it around.
Inkified Naruto was pointing right back at him with an agape snarl. Sai then proceeded to show everyone else individually, and they all cracked up, one by one.
Ino was absolutely dying. Stomach-clutching and tears rolling, the whole nine yards. She snatched the sketchpad from Sai and begged if she could keep it.
"Whaddya want that for??" Naruto interrogated. He was so about to punch Sai and throw his art supplies in the pool. This was Hinata's announcement and the softboy was ruining it.
Ino mockingly tilted the sketchbook side to side. "Something to keep your ego in check, Charato."
Hinata faintly snorted. He wasn't sure until he saw how she had her face turned around and her shoulders were lightly trembling.
He frowned at her, feeling betrayed.
"Ahhhh, alright, enough! Me and Hinata have gathered you all here for a reason! So shut up and listen! Hinata, tell them!"
Hinata jolted out of her humor, her face flushing as though this were the first time she's done public speaking.
"Uh, Uhm… Naruto-kun and I… we're foster siblings. We, uh… we live together," Hinata froze up under their collective stares. With a stiff smile, she half-heartedly sang "Ta-da," and punctuated it with rather embarrassed jazz hands.
"And as our friends, you're the first to know," Naruto added. "Also we don't care if the whole school finds out. So don't worry, we're not sharing this out of confidentiality."
Their collective shock evaporated rather quickly.
Sakura was the first to speak. "Well, that answers a lot of questions. And raises plenty more." She ended it with a growl and a glare. That accusatory look irked him.
"Feel free to ask away! I've got nothin' to hide!"
Sakura flattened the back of her skirt as she rose up like a dignitary representing The House of Hyuuga. And then like a certain video game attorney, she pointed at him.
"I always wondered why you obsessively protected Hinata in the past, but never showed any romantic initiative towards her. Now I have to ask, knowing the sex maniac that you are: Do you ever sneak into her bedroom?"
"No," He answered unconvincingly. He looked at the jury one by one, unsure how much of their scrutiny was sincere or misperceived. Sasuke was leaning forward, arms circling around his knees. He looked a little too interested in the idea of him and Hinata… doing things… "I-I've never done that! I would never do that! Hinata's special to me, okay?! You've got a filthy fuckin' mind, Haruno!"
"Me?! You've tried to sneak into the female locker rooms!" Sakura took off her shoe and slugged it at him. "Multiple times!"
Naruto hunched up and twisted away as the shoe smacked his shoulder and bounced away.
Hinata moved in between him and the one-woman mob. "Okay, this is getting out of hand--"
"I will never fucking do that to Hinata. I was in an orphanage for six years. And they're not all run by saints."
Dammit.
This was way more than he ever wanted to share.
He took a few steps back before turning tail. He jogged downhill as fast as he could.
What was he doing?
Uzumaki Naruto doesn't run away.
But it was either that, or… have them watch him cry.

AN: So this is missing a scene cuz I cut it. I might not use it anymore, and instead I'll see if the backstory I had expanded upon will be worked in later on in the plot. Because before I started writing this, I had anticipated that things would actually get cuter from here on out. (Also anticipating that I may work in at least one smutty chapter in the future. Yeah, it's totally diverging from this fic's original concept when I posted it for Secret Santa, but that's okay!) And the total Ego Death I unexpectedly wrote just feels kind of Deus Ex Machina in a way to Naruto's vices. I just can't have him maturing right now. That's a plot route I don't have any material for, and I don't quite see it as not defeating the other stuff I had planned to write. (I'm also happy to state that I'm starting to get a better picture of how to condense this content on AO3, because I honestly feel like this could be Ch. 2 now. :B I mean, it's too short on its own if I do, but it kinda has that hook for the rest of the story.)
I hope you enjoyed this update! 😘💕💕💕

Brothers Conflict: Season 1 LN - Ch11, Sec10 & Sec11
Another partial segment of the Iori/Kaname conflict, this time at the cherry blossom viewing in Volume 4, when Iori tries to drag Ema off.
Long discussion at the bottom.
Brothers Conflict Translations Index
Masaomi: “Wataru, shall we go home soon?”
Masaomi-san said while looking at his watch.
Wataru: “Ehh, already…”
Masaomi: “Because, look at what time it is.”
Ukyo: “It’s certainly about time to go.”
Ukyo-san also glanced at his watch.
Ukyo: “Any more and it’ll affect you tomorrow.”
Wataru: “Just a little longer…”
Masaomi: “Wataru.”
Wataru: “.......Ugh.”
Wataru-chan gave in reluctantly, pouting.
As Masaomi-san said, it had gotten quite late.
Outside of a few street lamps, the lights lit here and there until just now had gone out, and only moonlight shone down.
By this time, Subaru-san, Rui-san, Tsubaki-san, Azusa-san, Natsume-san who had fallen into the pond, Yuusuke-kun, and Fuuto-kun had already gone home earlier.
Kaname: “What’s this, everyone’s leaving?”
Hikaru: “Already? It’s still only early evening.”
Kaname: “Imouto-chan, you’re still good, right?”
Ema: “Y-you’re asking me?”
Ukyo-san interjected.
Ukyo: “You should go home. The only ones remaining are Kaname and Hikaru. Of the ones you could think of, this is the worst pairing.”
Kaname: “Uwah, such cruel words.”
Hikaru: “... I’m not convinced to just take myself out like that.”
Ukyo: “What are you saying? Do you think there are people more immoral out there than you two?”
Masaomi: “Now, now.”
Masaomi-san interrupted.
Masaomi: “Whether to stay or go is something for her to decide. What do you want to do?”
Ema: “Uh, um…”
In all the commotion, there hadn’t been much time to look at the cherry blossoms. That’s why, to speak frankly, I wanted to stay a little longer.
Ema: “If possible, I’d like to stay.”
Ukyo: “But…”
Ukyo-san started to say. But Masaomi-san stopped him.
Masaomi: “It’s fine, Ukyo. If she wants to, why not let her?”
Kaname: “Well said, Masa-nii, very reasonable.”
Masaomi-san turned toward Kaname-san.
Masaomi: “After all, Kaname is always thinking of her. Nothing bad will happen. Isn’t that right, Kaname?”
After being told that by Masaomi-san, Kaname-san opened his eyes wide for a moment, and then let out a loud breath.
Kaname: “I give up. If you say that much, I can’t even do anything wrong, let alone anything bad.”
(What do you mean by “anything wrong”, Kaname-san?!)
Hikaru: “Ehhh.”
Hikaru-san looked at Masaomi-san admiringly.
Hikaru: “Masa-nii, you’ve gotten impressive. What happened while I was away?”
Masaomi: “She’s changed me.”
This was said so naturally that, at first, I completely ignored Masaomi-san’s words.
Masaomi: “Well then, let’s go, Wataru.”
Wataru: “Mm… Okay.”
Ukyo: “Please clean up properly. That would be good.”
After Masaomi-san, Ukyo-san, and Wataru-chan got up and left, I suddenly felt my cheeks get hot.
(M-Masaomi-san…)
Hikaru: “What’s this, you’re only just now getting bashful?”
Hikaru laughed.
Hikaru: “This girl is amusing. I’m a little interested.”
Kaname: “Hey hey, no more, give me a break from having more guys interested in Imouto-chan.”
Kaname-san drained his glass of the remaining wine.
Kaname: “Rivals keep showing up, at all times…”
Just then, I felt the presence of someone closeby.
Iori: “Hey, I’m sorry to make you wait.”
When I turned, Iori-san was standing there.
Ema: “Iori-san…”
Iori: ”Sorry, work went overtime. Though I’m happy that you waited for me… Anyway, let’s go.”
Iori-san took my hand and started to walk away. Then, I heard Kaname-san’s voice.
Kaname: “Hold up, Iori.”
Iori: “What, Kaname-niisan.”
Iori-san looked back at Kaname-san.
Kaname: “Today’s not a date. This is a flower-viewing with the family.”
Iori: “Is that so? But it doesn’t look like there’s anyone else here.”
Kaname: “Hikaru and I are here.”
Iori: “Why must I have the flower-viewing with Kaname-niisan?”
The moonlight hitting Iori-san’s white face tinged it a faint blue.
I realized that Kaname-san’s fists were clenched tightly.
Kaname: “Because we’re family, you know?”
Iori: “We’re related by blood, that’s true.”
Iori smiled.
Iori: “But, what meaning does that have?”
Kaname: “Imouto-chan!”
Kaname-san drew closer.
Kaname: “You’re going home.”
Ema: “B-but…”
Kaname: “Just go.”
Kaname-san pulled Iori-san’s hand off of mine.
Iori: “Kaname-niisan.”
Bathed in moonlight, Iori-san glowed palely.
Iori: “Love is mightier than anything else. That’s what you always say.”
Iori-san smiled. It was so beautiful that I couldn’t help but shiver.
Iori: “I’ve also come to think that, too. Even so, why do you still object?”
Iori-san held out his hand, as if he were calling out to me.
Iori: “Say. You’ll be together with me, right?”
Ema: “... Iori-san.”
Kaname: “No talking.”
Kaname-san raised an arm to block my vision.
Kaname: “Listen to what I’m saying. You’re going home right now. ... Hikaru, take her home.”
I heard Iori-san’s voice.
Iori: “Kaname-niisan, you look like you’re doing your best, but how long do you think you can continue this?”
Kaname: “... For as long as I live.”
Kaname-san said.
Kaname: “You said it yourself. The power of love is stronger than anything else.”
Iori-san, illuminated by the light of the moon, and Kaname-san, standing in the shadows of the cherry blossom trees.
The two of them stood there, staring intently at the other.
Hikaru: “... Well then, let’s go.”
Hikaru-san pulled at my arm.
Hikaru: “We’re just going to be in the way.”
(Kaname-san… Iori-san…)
We left that place, with Hikaru-san pulling me along. My mind was in chaos, and words would not come. I could not even understand what was going on.
---
Hikaru: “... Have you calmed down a little?”
Hikaru-san said as we arrived at the apartment complex.
Ema: “Eh…? Ah, y-yes…”
Hikaru: “Liar.”
Hikaru smiled pleasantly.
Hikaru: “You’re really worried, aren’t you?”
Ema: “...”
Hikaru: “I understand. It’s natural.”
Hikaru-san pressed the button for the elevator. Empty, the elevator came to a stop on the first floor, and the light for it turned on.
Hikaru: “If you leave it to Kaname, he’ll deal with it properly. Besides, Iori will be fine.”
Ema: “But…”
Even so, I was really worried. That atmosphere was not normal. Kaname-san and Iori-san were different from usual.
Hikaru: “You know. There is a big difference between people who look like they’re going to do something, versus people who have actually done something. … Here, go on in.”
At Hikaru’s prompting, I got into the elevator.
Hikaru: “I said this earlier. I’m quite familiar with those kinds of people. So I can say with confidence, the two of them will be okay. More than that-”
Hikaru-san looked over at me.
Hikaru: “I’m more worried about you.”
Ema: “... I, I’m fine.”
At that answer, Hikaru-san smiled wryly.
Hikaru: “You really are a liar. … Still, to have the guts to be able to say that is impressive. I see, I understand now.”
Ema: “Understand what?”
Hikaru: “The reason why you have captivated all of the guys.”
Ema: “... Eh?”
Just then, the elevator arrived at the fourth floor where my room was.
Hikaru: “For now, this is my advice.”
Hikaru-san said, as we got to my door.
Hikaru: “Take a hot shower, and then go straight to bed. Don’t think about anything. Okay?”
After saying that, he steered me into my room.
Hikaru: “Well then, good night. … See you tomorrow.”
I heard his voice through the door, and then, after a while, the sound of footsteps moving away.

Comments
From the various comments I've read over the years, I get the feeling that people don't think that Iori is forceful. Which, I kind of get, since he's not as loud about it. However, reading carefully, he's still pretty... grabby. Both physically and verbally. In this scene, Iori straight up goes to Ema, grabs her hand, and tries to walk away with her. I don't know about you, but I didn't see any consent from Ema for that. (Lack of No does not mean Yes. Only a Yes counts as consent. No and lack of No do not count.) Later on, in Volume 5, he grab/hugs Ema and kisses her. In the illustrations for that scene, he pulls Ema into him so she's off-balance, and has both arms around her. Hell, she even has tears in her eyes in the picture, and when he kisses her, he has both hands holding her face.
Compare that to Kaname's kiss illustrations in Volume 1, where he's holding Ema's arms loosely, and she's still balanced on her own, kneeling on the sand. (And in the game, she had enough leverage to push him away completely afterwards.) I know both of them kissed her without consent, I get it. But one of them was a lot more forceful about it.
Maybe I'm making excuses for him, but I feel like the whole business with Kaname forcing his kiss was the writer's way to set him up to fail. Remember, in this competition, there can be only one winner. And assuming that the conflicts were planned, then Kaname had to be taken out of the running somehow and he was first on the chopping block. After the whole kiss business, I've noticed that Kaname never touches her again. Well, possessively or romantically, anyway. Which then opens him up to show his (true) fatherly/brotherly side in the later volumes.
It's pretty sad that the anime, and even the game, focuses so much on his flirty side. Which he is, for sure, but in the books, it seems to happen more when there are other brothers present? Like, it's more of a habit, or a facade. In Volume 5, in the sections I translated in my previous post, he flat out says that he doesn't like to be pushy towards women. Also, he is a host and a Buddhist monk. As a host, if he was too pushy, I doubt that so many women would come to him. At Club Buddha, where he works, he is the second most popular host/monk. (Following Ryuusei, who is not made out to be the pushy type. That said, Chiaki at number 3 is super pushy, so hmmm.) Anyway, I would also imagine that he, being a host, would be always super aware of where his hands are and what he's doing. And this is explicitly stated in the books and games, but he is skilled at reading people, so he would know for sure when Ema is uncomfortable. Secondly, from some outside reading, Buddhism is rather big on consent. And not just verbal consent, as I mentioned earlier, but actual acceptance, freely given true consent. Outside of the flirtiness, Kaname is canonically a good monk. And for the rest of the novels, he tries really hard to do good to Ema. That's why, I think his initial characterization and all that with the kiss was a contrivance. Or maybe, he just messed up; 27 is still young enough for mistakes.

Banjou no Geass Gekijou
Before I post a list with all the games Rolo’s been featured in, here's more about my favorite one: the Nintendo DS board game, Banjou no Geass Gekijou. These are some of the lines you get when you land on Rolo’s squares.
Tumblr media
へぇ、すごいですね、ライさんって。 何人もの人の声を、同時に聞き分けられるなんて…僕が必ず分かるのは兄さんの声くらいですよ… Wow, you are amazing, Rai-san. To be able to recognize the voices of multiple people simultaneously... The only one that I recognize without fail is Brother's...
すごいですね、ライさん。人を簡単に笑わせるなんて…僕にはできそうにありません。 You are amazing, Rai-san. Being able to make people laugh so easily... I don’t think I could do it.
ライさんはどうして、そんなに簡単に人を笑わせることができるんですか? あ、いえ… 別にうらやましいとかそういうことではないですけど… ただ、すごいなって… Rai-san, why are you able to make people laugh so easily? Ah, no... It's not that I am jealous or anything like that... It's just, that it’s so amazing...
I think lines like this show how strong Rolo’s true self is despite being trained as an “emotionless” assassin. The sight of someone making another person happy makes him feel admiration. He had the potential to be a really good kid...
やった!僕の勝ちですね!あ、ごめんなさい… 僕ばかりが楽しんでしまったみたいで… あ、あの… また遊んでください! Yes! I won! Ah, I'm sorry... It seems I ended up being the only one who had fun... U-um... Let's play again next time, please!
And he isn’t just in touch with his own feelings, but also those of the individual he’s interacting with. I wish these pretty scenes with Rai could lead to a Good End where, having gained another person he can trust, Rolo actually started believing in his right to be loved simply by being Rolo, instead of assuming his value is tied to his usefulness as an assassin. But yeah, the Good Ends have him killing Rai, so I guess deep-rooted beliefs take long to change...
えっ!事故に遭ったんですか!…兄さんはッ!にィ~さ~んッ!! Eh! You had an accident?! ...Brother is...! Bro~ther!!
There’s a driving minigame where you play as Rivalz and Lelouch, and this is Rolo’s reaction if you crash Rivalz’s motorbike. Before playing the minigame, Rolo had asked you to please accompany Rivalz-san and Niisan because he(Rolo) doesn’t trust Rivalz-san’s driving skills. I find it amusing that Rolo actually went through the process of learning how to drive a bike and that he probably understands about vehicles (and mechas), while Lelouch likely has no interest or knowledge whatsoever. His fakememory!self was probably initially totally confused by his little sibling’s ability to drive, and it’s things like these that make the time he spent with Rolo be memories with Rolo rather than “with a Nunnally replacement”. Anyway, if you play the driving minigame when Rolo has come to like Rai as well, he will be calmer and say something like “I’m glad Niisan and you are safe”. Rivalz doesn’t even exist for Rolo.
あれ、失敗ですか。もしかしてオモチャのハンマーじゃ本気になれないですか?僕のナイフ… 貸しましょうか?フフフ… Oh, you lost? Maybe it's that you couldn't take it seriously using a toy hammer? Should I lend you... my knife? Fufufu...
This is what you get when you lose on the whac-a-character minigame. Sadly for Rolo, one of the rules in that minigame is not to hit Nunnally.
あ、ライさん。ほら、見てください!兄さんからもらったんです、この回転パズル!ねえ、ライさん。一緒に組み立ててみませんか? Ah, Rai-san. Look, look at this! I received it from Brother, this rotation puzzle! Hey, Rai-san, why don't we assemble it together?
思ったより簡単にできましたね、ライさん。でも、せっかく兄さんがくれたものなんですから今度はひとりでやってみます。じゃあ… You were able to do it more easily than I thought, Rai-san. But since it's something that Brother gave me, next time I'll try to do it on my own. Well then...
Rolo allowing others to play with something given to him by Niisan? And poor Victor from the OSI had to get killed after touching his locket...
The next part needs some context first. This is from when you overhear his conversation with Villetta and Lelouch at the basement. Once he notices you there, he'll normally just kill you instantly, but if you visit them after he's already grown to like you, he hesitates and, seeing how neither Villetta nor Lelouch noticed you, offers to spare your life with the condition that you don't tell anyone what you heard. You can answer "yes" or "no". As one can guess, saying that you won't keep the secret leads to a game over.
First, "yes": じゃあ、これは… 僕らだけの秘密です… そう… 兄さんにも内緒の…
Then, this is... a secret that is only ours... That's right... a secret even to Brother...
And "no":
なるほど… 僕がバカでした… やっぱり信じられるのは… 兄さんだけ… 他のヤツなんて… …ライさん。 あなたならわかってくれると思ったのに… 残念です… I see... I was stupid... Indeed, the one that can be trusted... is only Brother... Of course there would be no one else... ...Rai-san. I thought that you would understand, and yet... It's a shame...
It might be because it’s a game and he’s merely letting the player know what’s going to happen, but still, I like that Rolo doesn’t kill Rai right away and instead expresses his emotions to him/her first. Like Rolo barely talks to people he doesn’t feel a connection with, but once he does feel it, the love he has for that person is really important to him. Enough that he’d die mainly to honor those feelings that made him feel human. Lastly, there’s a conversation between Rolo and Lelouch that you get right before Rolo’s route is completed. (Lulu)やあ、ライ。 Hi there, Rai. (Rolo)あ、ライさん。 Ah, Rai-san. ほらな、ロロ。やっぱりライはここに来ただろ? See, Rolo, Rai did come here after all, didn’t (s)he? う、うん… Y-yeah... 今、ロロと賭けをしてたんだ。ライが15分以内にここに来るかどうかをね。 結果は、俺の勝ち。 ロロ、今日の洗濯当番は代わってもらうぞ。 I just made a bet with Rolo on whether you'd arrive here within 15 minutes. The result is I won. Rolo, today you do the laundry instead. う、うん… あ、で、でも!夕食当番は兄さんだからね! Y-yes... Ah, b-but! Don’t forget that Brother is in charge of dinner! む、そうだったか… じゃあ、こうしよう。俺が今からライと何かのミニゲームで対戦する。俺が勝ったら、ロロ。オマエが夕食当番だ。 Hm, was it so?... Well then, let's do this. I'm going to compete with Rai in some minigame now. If I win, Rolo, you take care of dinner. え、また賭け事? Eh, betting again? そうさ、わかりやすいだろ?ライ、何て対戦する?オセロか?パズルか?何でもいいぞ。 That's right, isn't it simple? Rai, what will we compete in? Othello? Puzzle? Anything will do. 兄さん、水泳はどう? Brother, what about swimming? なに!?なぜ体力勝負を…! What!? Why a trial of strength...! 何でもいいって言ったじゃない? Didn't you say that anything would do? クッ!いいだろう!速く泳ぐ理論はわかっている!負けるわけがない!ライ!水泳で勝負だ!ロロ!オマエは夕食の献立でも考えておくんだな! Tch! Fine! I know the theory for swimming fast! There's no way I'll lose! Rai! It's a swimming match! Rolo! Start thinking about what to cook for dinner! It’s adorable how Rolo is so comfortable with Lelouch that he isn’t afraid to show him that he wants him to lose. Lelouch is hilariously slow at the swimming minigame despite “knowing the theory” (lol), so usually you’ll win without trying: やった!これで兄さんの手料理が食べられるよ! ありがとう、ライさん! Yes! Now I can eat Brother's home cooking! Thank you, Rai-san!
チッ… しかたないな… 晩御飯はビーフストロガノフだ!いいな! Tch... There's no helping it... Dinner will be beef stroganoff, okay?!
うん! Yes!
I’m laughing at how in-character it is for Lelouch to loose his cool when he doesn’t win. And notice how Rolo didn’t actually mind cooking dinner himself, he just wanted Lelouch to do it so he could eat his home cooking ♥ You can also just do nothing at all during the minigame so Lelouch can beat you, in which case the conversation goes like: 水泳で兄さんに負けるなんて…ライさん、遅い… To lose against Brother at swimming... Rai-san, you're slow... ロロ、夕食は何か凝ったものが食べたいな…そうだな…流しそうめんなんてどうだ? Rolo, for dinner I want to eat something elaborate... Let me see... What about flowing noodles? 兄さん…たしかに凝ってるけど…それじゃ昼食みたいだよ…大丈夫、もっと栄養のあるものを作ってあげるから。 Brother... That's certainly elaborate but... then it would be like lunch... It's alright, I'll make you something more nutritious.
頼むぞ、ロロ。 I leave it in your hands, Rolo.
A Japanese person will probably find this funnier and be able to explain it better, but I think the joke is that flowing noodles are really plain in terms of what the food itself is, and that what is elaborate is the process to prepare them (you have to make noodles slide down a structure of bamboo pipes). So Lelouch seems to be deliberately choosing something Rolo can’t possibly prepare just to feel a bit evil? On the other hand, it’s really cute that he will eat Rolo’s cooking. He isn’t disgusted by it or anything, as much as he’d want to convince himself that he hates Rolo… And that’s it. Afterwards you get the endings, in which he kills you. Yeah, he spared your life at the basement, but now he stabs you out of respect, because he wants your ghost to protect Niisan. And he smiles and laughs when saying so too!? Well, to be precise, that’s the ending if you are playing as male!Rai. As female!Rai he seems more pained and doesn’t want you to leave, and it’s not so clear whether he kills you or not. Maybe he kidnaps you, since you simply disappear after Rolo took you to the airport. Creepy stuff... Someone uploaded a video of Rolo’s route, where you can see everything we’ve been talking about. ---- By the way, the official blog for this game was run by staff members who seemed to like Rolo a lot. The blog isn’t available anymore, but you can find the original texts in Japanese through Wayback Machine: part 1, part 2, part 3.
For example:
Tumblr media
“I’m now playing through the previous game LOST COLORS and I was chased and killed by Rolo!”
Tumblr media
“By the way, I wear Rolo on my employee badge.
It’s cute how Rolo’s charm is shaped like a heart!”
Tumblr media
“So, since the anime’s last episode aired, there’s a new DS ‘Banjou no Geass Gekijou’ advertisement. We tried changing Lelouch and Rolo’s lines! Rolo 'Niisan... is cute' You are the one who’s cute-!”
Tumblr media
“Good... mor   ning. It’s No... zawa... First, um, yeah, I haven’t posted updates. U.... Usui san is the only one who... was... writing... If you’re... wondering... why, on 17th August’s broadcast... Rolo  Rolo d... died”
Tumblr media
“You can see Rolo in the advertisement... (tear)”
Tumblr media
“Lelouch’s emperor outfit... I wanted Rolo to see it”  ----- It’s nice to know the staff was allowed to openly fangirl about their favorite characters. Although we already knew that from Sakou-san...

Can i request Hasebe, Tomoe and Kashuu reacting to child!Saniwa asking if they can go to their PTA meeting or watch them during a sports festival at their school pls ?
--
Oh my god.
Babeh.
Sports festival saniwa...oh my god. @rexcaliburechoes REXY HI PLS TAKE DIS FOOD
Tumblr media
Heshikiri Hasebe
Hasebe isn’t...all that good with kids? He can tolerate them and as he gets closer to the master, he’ll begin to cherish them. They are still his master, no matter how small they are! Sure it’ll take some getting used to but like...he can handle it....he thinks?
One day they shyly ask him to attend a festival at their school a handwritten invitation given out to him. “I-I trust you...” the little one would say, small little hands gripping the paper to the point it may rip - head bowed as they hold it out to him. Hasebe can’t say no! They are so brave to ask him and he’s flattered really.
When the day of the festival comes, Hasebe had researched what they are like beforehand. He is prepared for the hot sun with copious amounts of water, a hat, bento boxes, so on and so forth! He’s uber prepared! No way is anything bad going to happen!
He cheers the loudest whenever the kid is competing in an event or performing a show like in a cultural festival. He’s taking pictures of how cute they are. He’s going to show EVERYONE back at the citadel how fucking pROUD HE IS OF THEM.
If the kid is doing something like cross country, I think Hasebe would be at least a coach for them. He’s pretty damn fast too, and honestly he’ll be rather damn proud if the kid says that Hasebe’s speed inspired them to start running track. Will he cry??? pROBABLY
If there’s a PTA meeting to attend, Hasebe will honestly dress rather formally. He wants to make a good impression! A sweater vest? A suit? Who knows?! Maybe he’ll slap some glasses on there? Lord knows Hasebe will look good as hell with square frames.
Catch people swooning because gOD DAMN IS HE HANDSOME IN CASUALLY FORMAL CLOTHES
He probably has evidence that the saniwa is a good little kid. He has fucking receipts. Don’t even think about talking bad about this kid in front of him. He’ll counter every point. “They are small and young and yes mistakes do happen, but they will come back from it in the end.” and if the kid has any problems at school, Hasebe will do his best to help them!
Okay but this is a personal headcanon that makes me cry, if the fact that this lil Saniwa is bringing Hasebe along to these events means that they care about him a lot and trust him even more than the rest of the TouDan makes him cry a lil? They are so young after all, gods know that they should not be in a war like this. They need to have a better life and HAsebe knows this. So when the meeting or festival is over, I think the lil one will dedicate a trophy or a drawing towards Hasebe. It’s not much, but this little one cares about him oh so much.
Hasebe found crying when they get home to the citadel.
Tomoegata Naginata
Tomoe is even harder to crack than Hasebe. Yes he’s a faithful attendant but children? What is that????? He has to ask for help and freezes whenever this little one asks him for something like affection. He isn’t all that good with it. But as he starts becoming closer to the kid, his affection is a little more known. He won’t hug them suddenly like Kashuu would but like Hasebe, he’ll give them a head pat in public.
It’s a cultural festival that Tomoe is invited to, a colorful invitation in the hand of the little Saniwa who hesitates. But they want him to come. It’s with their best handwriting, practiced over and over again to get it right. Tomoe remembers seeing evidence of that - the spare sheets of paper and how the little one didn’t want to let him see what in the world they were writing. He accepts of course, he cannot disappoint the Saniwa!
Like Hasebe, he researches what culture or sports festivals are, coming to the event oh so prepared! Water, hats, lunches, money, so on and so forth! Damn fUCKING RIGHT HE’S GOING TO MAKE SURE THIS LIL KID IS SAFE DURING THIS EVENT.
Tomoe has a fine appreciation for the arts, and if the saniwa is an artist or is in a play, damn right he’s going to applaud them. Yes maybe they had budding talent, or maybe they have not talent at all - but he is happy if the little one is happy.
He’s supportive in whatever they do after all! Damn right he’ll stick by their side through thick and thin.
If they play games at the festival, Tomoe is found carrying all of their prizes or just winning them for the little one!
At a PTA meeting, Tomoe is wearing a suit. He has brought a stack of files and is more than ready to listen to whatever this teach has to say about the little one. They labeled him as their guardian after all! Tomoe has to keep up appearances.
Like Hasebe, the naginata could go on and on about how great the little one is. Yes he will say that the little one has some faults but like, listen...he cares for this kid. For every fault the little one has, they make up for it with something they do - a smile or a hug for someone!
If they are struggling, Tomoe will do everything to help them. Math, literature, you name it! He’ll be right there by their side, hovering over their shoulder as they work. He will scold them yes but it’s gentle and reward them with a soft smile whenever they do well.
When did Tomoe catch these emotions? Who tHE FUCK KNOWS?
Kashuu Kiyomitsu
If Kashuu is the saniwa’s starter sword, he’ll be close with the little one for sure. He’ll keep them company through thick and thin and he always does the little one’s nails and keeps them all pretty and happy. Hell they’ll have matching clothes! Damn right they will! Kashuu is not about to let this little one be alone. He knows what it’s like in a way, to be discarded and lonely - so he’s determined and driven to not let the little one feel the same!!
Kashuu-niisan is a bit of a gossip so when he finds out that the little one wants to take him to their festival, of course he’ll be the first to know! He wil happily say yes! He will be raring to go! He will do research on what they are first and of course he’s going to bring a SHIT TON of sunscreen. No way are either of them going to suffer skIN DAMAGE T O D A Y. of course it’s important to keep hydrated too and he asks horikawa to teach him how to cook so he can make lil snackies for the saniwa.
Honestly he hates going outside and being under the sun. He is under this parasol as he watches the little one run about. Of course, Kashuu will always hold their hand as they walk about. He’s not letting this little one out of his fUCKING SIGHT.
Honestly the fact that the little one has labeled Kashuu as their legal guardian makes hm want to sob? Yes Kashuu is a bit...high maintenance and loves being pampered but the love and adoration of a little one - who is growing up all too fast mind you - is something....new to him? It’s comforting in a way, and it gives him another reason to always come home to them. It’s a little selfish, ti know that this child still needs him compared to Okita who threw him away when he was useless. Thus, Kashuu has a habit of trying to almost...take Hasebe’s spot as the attendant at times?
Anyway back to happiness: Kashuu watches the little one like a hawk but knows when to have fun. Half of the time he does get a weee bit distracted here and there - looking at cute clothes or spotting something that the little one likes! Maybe he’ll drag them around to a little festival stall or something to get food or buy things for peeps back at the citadel? Who knows?!
gOD DAMN RIGHT KASHUU IS GOING TO SCREAM THAT THIS KID IS DOING AMAZING THINGS.HE’S GOING TO RECORD ALL OF THIS TOO. HE WANTS THIS KID TO KNOW THAT HE’S SO FUCKING PROUD OF THEM AND EVERYTHING THAT THEY DO, HE’LL FIGHT A HO FOR THEM TF ARE YOU LOOKING AT???
At a PTA meeting, of course Kashuu is going to dress to the nines! A lil flashy but it’s most likely some kinda suit. Maybe a floral suit? Fuck yeah. Who the hell knows. Like black suits are fine and dandy but like...where’s the variety???He’s going to look like a DAMN MODEL
Whatever the kid needs, Kashuu will be there. He isn’t as perfect as Hasebe or Tomoe at like the normal school stuff but that doesn’t mean he can’t try! He does and can and will try to help damn it! He’ll ask for Hakata to teach him math if he gotta.
No matter what, Kashuu is going to want to be there. If the kid is suffering in school, he’ll hold their hands and walk them to school or do whatever he needs to for them. He’ll hold their hand during the meeting and he may not have receipts like HAsebe or Tomoe to show proof that the kid is going great but but Kashuu knows the lil one is doing amazing.
To Kashuu, it’s the little things that make the little one adorable and his desire to protect them just...grows stronger and stronger. They smile at him and work so damn hard that it reminds him much of Okita - how he kept on going despite his illness. He would be damned if this little one falls. He’s going to do everything to prevent it.

You’re almost instantly scared into silence when you offer a gentle hello, and your words are stomped into the floor with a glare. Sakusa, you only know his name from hearing it in passing, simply stares at you until you move out of the way, walking past you as you hang your head a bit lower.
To his credit, Sakusa doesn’t bother you. And you don’t bother him, that seems to be the unspoken deal you’ve come to. You only trail behind him as he walks through the living room, waiting at the stairs for you. And you fist your hands into your skirt, but bite through the anxiety of it to walk him to the second door and motion your head. “They’re waitin’ for you, I think.”
The noiret manages to give you a small nod, and you look from his handsome face to your feet. That’s probably all you’re going to get out of him, but still your mouth cracks open. “Go niichan was in a pretty bad mood earlier.” You watch as he seems to consider this, before knocking his knuckles onto the door and watching with only mild surprise as it swings open to reveal another man.
Big, buff, grey-haired, and looking straight past you as he drags Sakusa inside with a wide smile and some excited chatter. You don’t mind him barely seeing you, it’s almost better that way. Before you can go though, a dark gaze finds you at the door and Shugo calls your name. A shiver runs down your spine as you feel the pairs of eyes on you now, multiple, and glance across the room for him. You’re used to being treated as invisible by his friends, and while it used to bother you while you were younger, now it just scares you when they don’t.
You hear the things they used to say about your big brother and his friends in highschool, and now even years later, it’s only gotten worse. The rumors are no longer just that, and you’re more than happy to just shrink away from the spotlight when it comes to having them around your place. But Shugo’s still your big brother, he loves you, you know he does. The fact that he cares only makes it harder to pretend like all of this isn’t happening.
You’ve seen the way he comes home with blood splashed on his shirt and a darkness in his eyes that doesn’t belong to any sane person. You’ve seen the way his friends talk about death with a smile, like they’re on top of the world. You always stayed away from it all, only acting like a hostess from time to time, letting the heaps of men in. Watching when they carry guns into your home, or the occasional bloodied person. Those days are especially hard to sleep. Those days are the ones where you crawl into Shugo’s bed and cling to him for a semblance of normality. At least he lets you.
Where the men normally ignore you, probably Shugo’s order, they always dare to sneak glances when their leader calls for you. They sneak glances now, sharp eyes following the skittish way you walk in as he motions you over. Shugo nii is sat at the very opposite end of the dimly lit space, the furthest away from your escape to your own room, one arm swung over the back of the couch and flanked by two other men that scare you too much to really acknowledge.
You stare at the ground as long as you can, until a figure meets you halfway. You look up. Shugo sends you a wide smile as his hand drops on your shoulder, leaning down to level his eyes with you. “Hey, little bunny. You came just in time, niisan needs a little favor. Ya can do that, yeah?” The whispers in the room seem to swell until he lifts a hand, and then everything is suddenly deathly quiet. It feels like every ear is trained on hearing you two now. Your swallow feels too loud, and Shugo takes your hand with his free one. His fingertips are rough under yours, squeezing your hand slightly.
But you bite your lip and nod, keeping his eyes as long as you can. You remember when it used to be just you and Shugo, when you’d curl up in his safe arms and he’d stroke your hair ever so gently. When he would wake himself up with his nightmares and have to come find you for comfort too. It’s not that long ago, but it seems lifetimes apart from the way he carries himself now. Maybe that’s what power does to a man. He’s not bothered by your mental struggle, if he even notices at all. The smile only widens. “We need yer opinion.” Again you nod.
The hand around your shoulder seems to squeeze tighter in anticipation for your answer, and he peeks out his tongue a bit before he speaks. “Who do you think is the most dangerous here?” His voice is almost a whisper, it sets your hairs on end. You hate this. But you oblige his request by turning and looking around the room, trying to avoid looking at any of them for too long. But even if you don’t, the way their gazes seem to travel the exposed stretch of your skin and the intrigue in their eyes don’t stay away. You’ll never understand why Shugo likes making you a target.
Bokuto and Atsumu are both grinning too much to be safe options to pick, you definitely don’t want to feed into their egos more. The wide-eyed expression on Hinata’s face is even scarier, and you’d rather not have any more of his attention on you than you have to. You end up at a figure slumped into one of the seats at the side of the room, unbothered with the whole thing. Dark, curly hair, and a safer choice if nothing else. You take a deep breath. But when you turn back to him he has straightened out, towering over you as he waits, his eyes narrowed just slightly. He’s still smiling, but a bit too wide.
Whatever you were going to say would be the wrong answer, clearly. You bite your bottom lip, sucking it into your mouth to soothe your nerves just a little. And you instead point up at him, breathing tight under his stern expression. The room is still so quiet. Shugo just hums and moves his hand to instead cup your cheek, his warm palm enveloping your now cold skin, making you meet his eyes. “And who’s the least dangerous here?” he coos, thumb stroking the soft curve of your face.
“I am,” you breathe out the words, barely having enough strength to voice them, and again Shugo hums in agreement. He lets go of you now, instead turning you to face everyone else, and loops his heavy, strong arms around your waist to pull you close to him.
“If any of you say somethin’ like that about my little sister again, I’ll kill ya myself.” His hands roam down your waist to grab at your hips instead, as if anchoring you in place when he hovers his lips over your ear, making your embarrassment flare even more. “And if yer gonna be whoring yourself out to anyone, it’ll be me. Yer mine,” he presses a little kiss to the skin behind your ear, “don’t forget it.”
+
You only learn a couple days later what he really means, when your boyfriend’s phone keeps going straight to voicemail. You’d tried your very best to keep him out of everything, you never even introduced him to Shugo or anything. But you should’ve known better than to assume your big brother wouldn’t know. When you come back home that night, he’s sat in the couch, one hand hanging over it with a knife that drips blood in thick, heavy drops onto your floor. For a moment you consider just ignoring him, trekking back to your room without a word.
But he’s looking at you through heavy lashes where you stand, before you drop your bag at the door. There’s a slash from his collarbone down and spilling red into his shirt, as he pushes himself up onto one elbow to watch you approach. You don’t say anything as you take the knife from his hand and put it aside, not wincing at the strong scent of iron that fills your nose. You only get in between his thighs to start unbuttoning his shirt, carefully peeling it from his sweat-covered skin and pulling a few threads out of the wound. “Yer mad at me, right?” his deep voice comes, as you finish unbuttoning the shirt. You look up at him.
Blood is splattered and dried on his cheek, his deep blue eyes meeting yours, almost black in the dimness of the room. Despite everything, there’s still something there you want to believe is gentleness. Care. You just hope you’re not imagining it. “If this is about that kid, I did that for yer own good, ya know?” he starts, wincing a little when you maneuver his arm out of the shirt too sharply at the topic, pulling it out of the way. You hate having to patch him up, but if you don’t, no one will. And then you won’t have anyone. You’re not sure you can handle that.
No, you know you can’t. “He would’ve hurt you.”
“He wouldn’t have done anything, Go nii,” you snap, standing to get a rag and some disinfectant, before kneeling back between his legs. “He was a nice person. He cared about me.” As you start wiping down the blood, you take a moment to stare at your brother, chest shining with sweat and his head thrown back. Large, black tattoos going from his waist and chest all the way to his neck. His hooded eyes still on you when you sit up to scrub his neck too, a hand coming to the small of your back. When you pause, he leans into you until his forehead is pressed to yours, and lingers there.
You can feel the puffs of air on your lips while you look at him, stare, really. You’re always known that Shugo was attached to you. Even when he cut all of his old friends out of his life and started causing trouble every other day, he was there for you. He was yours, as you were his. But that was then, and now it no longer feels so platonic. They way he leans into the motion and hovers his mouth right over yours, lips brushing yours ever so softly, it shouldn’t— you should pull away. His hand winds up to your neck to keep you in place, before he dips down to close the last bit of distance.
And though it’s a soft kiss, as gentle as you know his big body can handle it, you feel wrong. His mouth on yours and the way he clings to you like you’re a lover is so wrong, and you pull back with a sigh. He doesn’t let go of you until you shove at his arm, separating your lips and falling back on your butt. It stings, but you don’t care. You just stare at him like he’s suddenly grown two heads, and scramble back up. “God, what is wrong with you?! Yer such a piece of shit, niichan! You just killed-”
“We belong together!” he snaps back, eyes hardening when you throw the rag towards him and look around the space. You don’t know what you’re doing, really, because hiding in your room when he’s mad at you doesn’t help. He’s kicked down the door before without hesitation, and you know he’ll do it again. Your eyes fall to the bottle of alcohol he must’ve taken out before, grabbing the glass.
“Is this expensive?” You shove the glass forward and some of the amber spills out onto the floor, and you’re glad when his frown leaves his face to stare at you. “It is, right?”
“That’s not for you,” he tries, but you’re already bringing the glass to your lips and chugging down the contents. Something you regret almost instantly when the harsh taste and the burning hits your throat, making you cough. You put the glass down and take the bottle anyway though, still trying to swallow down the vile taste as you glare at him. “I told you.” He just looks a bit defeated now, and you just hope it isn’t by your rejection of him. But you’re mad, and this is about the only time you dare to stand up to him.
“Screw you, Go nii!” you bite out, shaking your head at him. Your voice cracks a little when tears start to well up, from either the burn or his expression you don’t know. “You can’t just meddle in my life any time I do something you don’t like.” You walk out of there, but resist the urge to slam the door as you climb the steps and already feel a slight warmth spread from your belly to your lungs, hiding out into your room.
+
When you wake up in the middle of the night, your hair is matted to your forehead. It’s too warm, and you’re a bit dizzy. But most of all, there’s a distinct pit in your stomach that seems to dig deeper with every breath. You throw your blankets off of you and get out of the bed, staring at the heavily decorated bottle of liquid to your side. The moonlight catches the deep amber color and makes it shine a little, and you grab it with a sigh. You can’t in good conscience do something to hurt him, not really. Despite his overbearing nature, he’s always protected you. Maybe your boyfriend really did deserve it.
It’s a small fight you’re too drowsy to think about. Instead you just tiptoe out of your room and down the hall to the bigger bedroom, and push open the door. Your eyes have to adjust to the darkness for a split second, but when they do, you notice niichan is sitting up in bed. Slumped but clearly showered, and his gash has been stitched up. His chest rises and falls a few times. “Can’t sleep?” he asks. You’re not surprised he’s awake, but you are a little surprised he’s so soft as he asks it. You thought he’d be more mad, at least.
You walk over, put the heavy bottle on the bedside table, and crawl onto the mattress. Shugo lifts the blankets for you to crawl in. You do. “I’m sorry for earlier, niichan. I shouldn’t have gotten so mad, or drank your stuff.”
He chuckles a little when you shuffle closer until you’re able to rest your head on the uninjured side of his chest. The beating of his heart is calm, comforting against you. “How was it?” he smiles as he asks it, and even wider when you tilt your face to look at him.
“Horrible.” That makes him nod, and pull you a little closer by your shoulders. As you listen to the silence of the house, bathing in his warmth, he leans over to take a little box in hand and pop it open, taking one of the rolled papers and putting it between his lips. He’s quick to light it too, bathing himself in the faintest orange glow. He takes a few pulls, before blowing the smoke away from you, and you snuggle closer. It only makes you feel more guilty for earlier, though you can’t really figure out why.
Maybe it’s that despite everything horrible you know he does, you never have to see too much of it. He’s careful to keep most of that stuff away from you, knows you couldn’t watch a guy getting shot or worse. When everyone abandoned you two, you only had each other. Of course he’d learn to be reliant on you, and reliance builds love. It’s the way things go. You turn your head so you can comfortably watch him as he fills his lungs with smoke and then lets it slip back between his lips so casually. He smiles when meeting your eyes. “You can’t have this one, bunny, don’t even try it.”
“If yer gonna be like that I don’t want it anyway,” you pout, barely a second before he dips his face to yours and nudges your chin a bit more up with his finger. His lips press back to yours, but this time you don’t pull away. And he blows a bit of smoke into your mouth when you open it, before pulling back. Most of it escapes from your mouth, as you stare at him in surprise. His mouth corners pull up a little, but it stays at that, and the dart is back to his lips before you can say anything.
“You can try something else though,” he suddenly says, between pulls. “Don’t want yer first experience with alcohol to be that shit. If yer gonna do it anywhere it’s better to do it with me, right?” He moves you off of him to slip out of the comforter and leave you missing his heat, searching between all the bottles displayed next to the mini bar to pick out one with pink liquid in it. “Here, this is sweeter. You can have it.” He takes two pulls, before twisting open the cap and handing it to you, then slipping back into bed with you.
You give it a cautious sniff, but it does indeed smell nice. Fruity. You take a mouthful under his watchful eyes, wincing a little. The heavy alcoholic taste is still present, and it doesn’t sit well on your tongue, but the sugary coating does help. It’s not nearly as bad as that other demonic drink. Watching you keep it in your cheeks only makes him laugh more, grabbing your face and keeping his so close. “Swallow it, go on.” There’s a darkness in his hooded eyes as he watches you struggle to swallow the entire mouthful, but eventually you manage.
And though the taste isn’t pleasant either, the fruity sweetness that stays in your mouth after almost convinces you it wasn’t that bad. “Better,” you end up saying, though you poke out your tongue to wet your lips, and he nods. You take another gulp, and another. When you start feeling a little wobbly, he takes it out of your hands, but you reach for his arm with a whine. Your belly and chest feel warm, and your feet endlessly cold, and you just want to nuzzle your face into his chest.
“Wanna finish the bottle, do ya?” he smiles, and you only give a sloppy nod. In truth, you don’t really know if you do. Your stomach feels full and the burn in the back of your throat still hasn’t gone away, but it makes you feel so comfortable. So easy. You feel warm and nice, and his hand on your thigh feels really, really good. “Just slow down a little,” he says, before handing you it back and letting you take another smaller gulp.
Your tongue is heavy by the time he takes the empty bottle from your clammy hands, room spinning and your heartbeat seemingly pounding on both sides of your head. You don’t know when he took off his shirt, but when you crawl further onto him for more warmth, or closeness maybe, your cheek is resting against bare skin. You throw your head back to look up at him, the blown out pupils so wide they swallow up any color left. “Niichan,” you pout, and for a few seconds he waits for anything to follow after, but you don’t even know what you want yourself.
A large hand slides up and down your thigh a few times, before the long fingers curl closer to the inside of your leg, and that feels even better. Your entire body seems to cling to that little bit of touch, shivering when his voice breaks through our bubble. “Feeling good?” A little hum and a nod is all you can give him. The hand is joined by another, softly starting to part your legs so they’re either side of his waist, still rubbing the skin so comfortably. It feels so nice, the slight roughness of the pads of his thumb dragging along the most sensitive part of your thighs, higher and higher.
Until you shift back for the touch a little, pushing yourself up onto your forearms, and your center comes to his waist. You take a deep breath, now suddenly too aware of how sticky your underwear has become. Shugo’s still looking at you, his hands on your hips. He must notice your problem, because he rolls his hips against yours and you throw your head back with a soundless moan. And then again, and your palm lands on his solid stomach, shaking a little. “Nii—san,” you whine, unable to help it, it just feels so fucking good.
You rub yourself against the bump in his underwear, shifting a little until it hits right at your clit, moaning his name and trying your very best to keep yourself upright, and he chuckles. “Yer totally gone, hm bunny?” Before you can answer, he flips you over so his giant body can cover yours and keep you under him on the bed, and you just blink up at him with your mouth still cracked, shifting when his hand drags up your leg and he slots two fingers against your covered slit. Your camisole is thin and sticks to you, as your big brother descends on you.
No longer careful, he’s quick to pull his underwear down and reveal his hardening cock with a few simple tugs. It’s big— really big, you think too slowly as he spreads your legs, rubbing the flushed head of it between your lips and collecting some of the wetness there. “So fuckin’ wet, yer a little slut.” But he still takes a second to kiss you, melding his tongue with yours and taste you, humming into it.
He tastes better than your tongue does, still coated in the overly artificial sweetness, rubbing his cock between your legs over and over. “My little sister, so pretty.” He grabs for your tits through the fabric, pinching the pointed nipples and rolling his hips all at once, letting you mewl into his mouth. You can feel yourself dripping down to your ass, moaning when his balls press up against you each time he rubs the base of his cock against your slit and clit. “Knew you’d be mine. Yer made for me.”
It’s almost impossible to hear anything over the pounding of your own heartbeat between your ears and the swelling feeling of nausea in your stomach, making you hesitant to even move, let alone open your mouth. And Shugo nii is too busy lining his fat, hard cock up with your slit to notice, already pushing into you little by little. “Niichan!” you think you say, clinging to his shoulders and tearing up and the immeasurable stretch it requires to take even the first few inches of his cock, but he doesn’t stop.
“So tight,” he grunts, lifting one of your legs towards your chest. You shake your head side to side again, pushing at his chest, but he only pushes deeper. And it feels so good, because despite the ache he’s hitting inside you so much farther than you ever could’ve imagined. Your stomach tightens more as he bottoms out, hips slapping against yours and leaving you feeling so overfull it makes you tear up. But when he pulls back and bottoms out again, every fiber of your body suddenly seems to tell you no all at once, and you try to turn on your side.
“Don’t you dare be sick,” he growls under his breath, pulling you back to him, “shouldn’t have drank that much then.” He pumps into you again, and again, until it’s almost impossible to feel your toes and your breathing is so tight it hurts under your ribs. Shugo above you, focused on the way your tiny slit is taking his fat cock so well, glistening all around it and leaving a ring of white at the base of it. He only picks up the pace on your poor body more at that, and grabs your throat tightly. Not too tight to hurt, but enough to have your eyes rolling back and your brain even more vacant than before.
It’s just his breathing and moans that fills the buzzing of the room, and your occasionally garbled squeak for him to give you a second. Loud paps each time he bottoms out, filling you up. “Yer niisan makes you feel this good, and no one else. Got it?” You can’t even nod as you’re bounced on his cock, one leg over his shoulder and the other shaking pathetically, head lulling back and forth. “When ya wake up yer gonna tell me thank you, right?” Another thrust so deep it makes you moan out, walls pulling him back in each time he leaves.
“Yer gonna tell me how much you love me— hmng, how good I take care of you. Ah- And you’re never, ever going to look for anyone else -hng- again.” He grunts when kissing you, dragging his lips along your cheek and neck, all wet with tears, before getting onto his forearms and fucking into you so hard it slams the headboard into the wall with each thrust. Your back curls from the bed and rubs your tits against him, while he angles his cock into the soft, spongy part of your walls more, until you cum without any warning.
It hits you so hard your legs cramp and the pleasure zaps all through your nerves, vision going black with spots. You can’t even hear anything, but when you come back to the world Shugo’s ramming his cock into you with a sloppier pace before he cums too, biting down on your neck and shooting hot, white ropes of cum deep inside you. You’re both sticky with sweat and breathing heavily when he pulls out and collapses beside you, one arm around you. You lay in silence for a few minutes.
You don’t know when he leaves, but when he comes back he has a cold towel to press to your face, and helps you up sit over the bed, placing a bucket in front of you. Almost instantly when you try to lift your head you grip the bucket tighter, and he gathers your hair to keep out of your face.
“Stupid girl. What idiot drinks a whole bottle by themselves? Yer lucky it was me here with ya, at least.” You hear yourself cry before you feel it, and he rubs the cold towel down your spine. “‘S okay, I’ll take care of you if you’re hung over.”
“They say getting a few loads of cum in ya helps it. We can try that.”

Shoto Todoroki x BigSister!Reader (Platonic Fluff)
Warnings⚠️ : Kinda angst because of Touya’s death and Endeavor being feces. It’s fluffy though And it’s super short
Summary: You were always close to the Todoroki Family. Having them all take liking to you made you feel apart of the family. Everytime you come over a certain multicolored haired baby makes his way into your arms. That was until Touya dies.
Tumblr media
Before Shoto was showing signs of a quirk, and his older brother was still alive, you were always holding his small body in your arms. Every time he heard his older brothers announce that they had returned from school, he’d hop out of whoever’s lap he was in and run (more like waddle) his way into your arms. Rei always looked as if she was on the verge of tears so you helped around the house a lot, despite Touya’s nagging. You treated both of your best friends’ siblings as your own and they looked at you like a big/little sister. But, It all changed when Shoto’s quirk(s) started to manifest.
Endeavor banned anyone from interacting with Shoto. That meant you could no longer see the boy after school or even come within 5 feet of the Todoroki household. Not being able to see your “siblings” anymore saddened you. Touya even started to distance himself from you, leaving you with more sadness and loneliness. One day, your parents sat you down in the kitchen to inform you of news you wouldn’t be able to forget. Your best friend had died.
It rained hard on the day of Touya’s funeral but the tears streaming down your face ran harder. Your pre-teen brain couldn’t handle this much sadness. Shoto’s dual-colored eyes wandered through the crowd after hearing a familiar voice. When he spotted your shaking form he got up from his seat, ignoring his father’s calls, and ran towards you.
“Oneechan. Up” His toddler fingers clenched and unclenched, signifying that he wanted you to pick him up. You sit him down in your lap and rub at his tear-stained cheeks. “Will you leave now that Niisan is gone”
“No baby” You sniff, holding the boy’s head close to your chest as if he’d leave too “I’ll always be with you”
————————————
Years had passed since then. You were now a third-year at U.A high school and you still kept in touch with the Todoroki siblings. Except for Shoto. You’d constantly ask his older siblings how he’s been doing, but they always say that they haven’t spoken to him. Natsuo still nagged at you to do your schoolwork even though it was you who had helped him graduate the year prior. Fuyumi helped with your hero studies in your second year when you needed help the most. But you still missed the dual-colored toddler that loved being in your arms.
You smiled and waved at other students as you prepared for this year's sports festival. You were excited to see the new-coming first years and see the infamous class 1-A in action. You hadn’t heard much about the students personally but you did hear about the USJ villain attack. You wandered around campus as recreational games took place. You had made it past the Calvary battle for your year and decided to skip out on the games. Not like they counted or anything.
“L/n” A deep, rough voice called behind you. You recognized the voice immediately making your skin crawl. You slowly turned around and looked up to a fiery, literally, glare.
“Endeavor. It’s good to see-“
“I’m not here to catch up” The hero interrupted “I’m here to tell you not to get in my son’s way”
You raised an eyebrow at his statement. His son? Did he have another son that you didn’t know about? “I’m sor-“
“Shoto doesn’t need pity distractions like you” He finished off, walking away. You glared daggers into the man’s back as he pushed through small crowds of people. Your expression falters as the words replayed through your mind.
“Shoto?” You whispered to yourself with a smile. You use your quirk to teleport yourself to the first year arena. You searched the crowd for red and white hair. Sighing in defeat you make your way back to the third year arena.
As you were mentally preparing yourself for the next tournament you bump into another student.
“Oh I’m so sorry are you alright?” You ask the green-haired boy. He was redder than Amajiki when he had to announce his hero name.
“I-I’m f-f-fine” He stuttered. You lightly laugh as the shaking boy walks away.
You turn to continue walking to your year’s arena but was stopped when you were met with a dual-colored stare. Your heart felt like it was going to break through your rib cage at the sight of Shoto. His face stained with a frown similar to the one Touya permanently wore, a burn scar covered his left eye and he was so tall.
“Sh-Sho?” you stutter, teary-eyed.
His features softened at the sight of your e/c eyes. The same eyes he swore not to forget. The same eyes that lit up every time he ran into your arms.
“Oneechan?” His voice cracked. You slowly reached out to grab his hand. Usually, he’d pull away and spit curses at whoever touched him. But your touch was different. Your touch reminded him of how close you two were. How close you were with his siblings. How tight you used to hug him from being gone at school all day.
He unconsciously wrapped his arms around you, lightly crying into his shoulder. Your hand strokes at his hair while the other strokes his back as you whispered reassuring words into his ear.
“I’m here Sho. I’m here”
