I’m glad to hear that you’re doing well and that your birthday celebration was fun! I hope that I didn’t come off as demanding or anything when I asked if my other message was received. Frankly, I didn’t even remember if I sent it or not, so I just wanted to make sure I did LOL Please don’t feel pressured to respond—doing so whenever you have the time is more than enough. I’ve been doing pretty good. The workload hasn’t been as heavy as usual but there’s quite a few exams coming up, so I gotta prepare for that hahah. My routine of sleeping after 12am has switched to sleeping before 11pm recently, which is good! Morning classes suck… I can never wake up in time (╥﹏╥)

i actually envy your ability to fall asleep before 11pm, i've ALWAYS had a hard time with that. most of my nights lately have been spent playing dead by daylight and staring at my drafts as i will my brain to work 😭

I’m so glad that you appreciate my feedback, but in reality it’s just me obsessing over certain parts about cataclysm that I enjoy, nothing serious at all LOL I love your comment about leaving the ending up to interpretation and, like I hopefully communicated in my last message, I thought it was executed perfectly!

All we’ve really talked about was cataclysm(I thoroughly enjoyed our messages about your writing hahah), so I’ll tell you a bit about myself then in case it sparks any fun conversation. My preference in color is any darker shade of red but I only dress in monochrome. I love cats, and my room smells like black cherry merlot from Bath and Body Works hahah. Also, if I were a fruit, I think I’d be a blackberry. Ironic because a bunch of things I own are cherry themed and not a single thing is related to blackberries. I feel like what fruit someone would be tells a lot about them, so if you were a fruit, which do you think you’d be? Sending a bunch of love!

okay first off, i LOVE bath and body works scents. i think my favorite is champagne toast i literally use it for everything. also i’m obsessed with monochrome clothes too but my favorite color is baby pink 😭

if i was a fruit i’d be a kiwi!! mostly because on the outside they look really bland and boring but on the inside they’re bright and green and sweet when picked right! i think it explains me perfectly hehe

I’m so glad that you went through with sharing cataclysm on your page, despite being nervous. I genuinely think it was such a beautiful piece, and it totally made my day (night?) hahah.

You mentioned how it was hard keeping everything in a one shot in your reply. I’m so impressed by how you fit in so much in 7k words(same with the first date series—you fit something that would’ve taken anime series 4 seasons in a few thousand words, in the best way possible), it felt really deep, held the storyline perfectly, and no moment was wasted. I think I already expressed my love for the piece in my last message.

You said you could’ve kept writing, but decided to end it after introducing the commune… I actually really liked how you kept the last note brief. By making the main part of the story end before the part where the commune was mentioned, the fic stuck perfectly to the plot in the description the whole time while the small bit at the end gave the readers closure, completing the story but also keeping it vague enough to create a nice environment for further imagination in the readers’ minds. While I was reading, I was always worrying… ‘Ahhh! what if they don’t get a happy ending? How are they going to live on afterwards? Do they make it to the place the mystery friend told Minho about?’ The last bit about the commune eased all of my worries and answered every question. In my opinion, it was the perfect ending! So that was my two cents LOL Absolutely addicted to your writing style in that piece, but your other works are just as lovely! I hope to stick around for as long as possible and keep giving you my support. Sending so so so much love!

i'm really happy that the ending of cataclysm gave you the closure you wanted. i definitelyyyy intended for it to leave room for imagination on the reader's end. sometimes i think it's really important for me as an author to remember that a lot of the story building is done by the readers themselves, especially in a fic like cataclysm. the post-apocalyptic world can look so different depending on who you're talking to, so i purposefully left life at the commune open to interpretation.

as always your kind words warm my heart and give me alllll the fuzzy feelings. i'm so glad you're here and you enjoy reading and i can't wait to hear from you again soon!!
